Great To Keep Busy. The app has some updates to do. Doing a task for 20 minutes not bas but the pay is terrible getting paid a minimum of what they offer is bad. It’s the time being spent doing these tasks and not feeling appreciated by completing the tasks. I would recommend the pay to be given after the tasks are complete & give more to those who apply the time to do these tasks. Please update the head mount where customers are able to use a least one hand visible to keep the video going not everything in the video is shown you would have to move your hands back and forward out the camera to grabs items the task wants/need.

Chores. I personally like that I’m getting paid something for doing things I already have to do anyway.

Excellent. Nice app very interesting to tasks every days. I use this app every day recording with my phone and sending my videos

Buggy. Not authenticated error after receiving 2FA by text and typing in email address. I had to replace my old phone which pulled the app up fine but now it won’t run on this new iPhone even though it’s the same phone number

Waste of your time. I bought the tools to start recording believing I will make $15+ per video . I recorded some and it took few days to get approved then they gave me 0.82 cent for all my preparation time and effort I got less than one dollar . I regret trusting this app . Bye and never again.

It’s cool. Took some figuring out but now I got the hang of it. Getting paid for stuff I normally don’t.

Region locked. My data isn’t useful apparently, as tasks aren’t available in my region. They would prefer their data farming comes from carefully preselected demographics. The dystopia becomes more dystopian by the moment

Not what I was expecting. I was expecting something more along the lines of you reached the drop of location please load the dishwasher for a customer for an extra $10. But this was not what I was expecting. You are essentially training ai to do house hold chores sometimes I am uncomfortable with doing.

Can’t even log in. Welp you just released an update and I thought to myself; “oh wow maybe they fixed the log in screen on this train wreck of an app”( the one where you click on “log in with dasher” and when you do nothing happens at all) alas I still can’t log in. Good job you nitwits!

Great way to make extra $$$. Loving this app so far. No issue and already making money.

Please Fix!!🙏🏻😊. Can’t go beyond sign in screen. Downloaded,deleted and re downloaded this app for two weeks now and still can’t even sign in. I tap the red sign into dash account bar at bottom of page and literally nothing happens. Please fix!!🙏🏻😊 struggle is real. Unable to login. Despite an already existing DoorDash account, both email and phone number login options render a successful login. Able to provide video proof upon inquiry. App remains unusable

Make cash for chores!. This is actually a fun way to make a little extra cash for doing chores I’d be doing anyways. It’s a little weird recording myself with a head mount. But I’m getting the hang of it. I would definitely check this out, I’m enjoying it so far!

PAY MORE PLEASE. I will raise my rating if you start paying me/ us more. This is quite ridiculous how little DoorDash is paying for these tasks. I did 15 mins worth of work, and submitted it. I’m waiting to hear back. There will be bigger training opportunities coming I’m sure but IF DOORDASH DOES NOT PAY ME MORE I WONT DO THEM.

Update needed. So I have been doing this app for about a month and I have made all the money I am suppose to from the tasks and it’s been a great way to make extra money but it needs an update. They have taken away so many tasks from me and they won’t replace it with anything else. It’s difficult when you can’t or have the ability to do some tasks but the ones you can do they just take it away. I understand that it’s an app and it’s going to change but I’d like to see more tasks since you’re taking the old ones away.

Stay away. If you live in Honduras or the Philippines, this would be a perfect job for you. You’ll average about $.18 an hour and meanwhile you’ll be making DoorDash richer and all these corporations richer and you’ll be putting pennies in your pocket. Don’t do it you’ve been warned.

Doesnt function. Cant get past first title screen. Says sign in with dasher and it clicks to same screen a shade darker??nothing happens. Deleted and redownloaded multiple times.

Now it’s not in my area. Signed up a couple weeks ago and been waiting on the head mount. Was able to see all the tasks and was able to do them even though I was waiting on the mount. Just got it and now I log in and it says not available in my area .

Just go on walks. Everyone is complaining about AI using this to take jobs. I don’t see the issue. I literally just put on my chest mount and go for a walk around my apartment or the mall. Great way to get a few “free” meals a day.

Updated Review. Firstly, there are some things no robots existing any time soon can perfectly the way a human can. And I have more skills than hiking and cleaning, so I’m not worried about this app “stealing” my job. It’s an easy way to make extra money doing something you should already be doing for free. It says it will review within 24 hours - and for the most part, it’s true. I’ve gotten paid what I’m owed on approved tasks. Some tasks are taking two or three days for review though.

Waste of time. It doesn’t even work. You download the app and click down at the bottom to sign in and it literally does nothing. Waste of time.

Don’t work. Every time I’m home it doesn’t work “ task is currently not in my region … but I walk across the street to my neighbor house and it works …

Hands out of view every three seconds!!!. I’m getting so tired of hearing it saying “hands out of view” almost all the time even when my hands are on camera. I had to stop using the app because it was getting on my nerves and I can’t turn down the volume for it to shut up!

Big help. You don’t make much money on videos. But you can make enough to surpass the income you’re missing. I enjoy making these videos and you get paid something to clean your own home. Who knew.

No one tried to test this beforehand. Phone is heavy. Trying to wear the head mount,…good luck. How do you know what yr filming? Most Americans have an iPhone with a case…. What ever you are trying to accomplish is not going to work. The chest rig might…but not the head mount. Did anyone at HQ test this?

Won’t let me sign in. Seems like a cool idea but app won’t even let me sign to get started. Definitely a bug.

Not worth the money and filled with bugs and cheap challenge incentives that come and go.. Avoid this app. I have had tasks that were under review just disappear. Not in my rejected section or anything, just gone. There’s also no explanation about the head set that they’re supposed to send, they just say they will send one to you without any other communication. I never received one so I had to make my own. Also the pay is not worth it at all. DoorDash just spat out a garbage app without any care or concern. 4/2/26 Update: This week I was working for the 30 approved min of video tasks challenge for $35 and today’s app update changed it to $15 now that I’m just waiting on approval for the 30 min of already completed tasks. But at least the updated app asked for my address to deliver the head mount I’m not going to use now 🙃 Don’t mess with this app.

Does Not Let Me Use The App even though I’m in Texas. Does Not Let Me Use The App even though I’m in Austin, Texas. Even though online it says by regulators Austin, Texas can be used legally to record to train ai, and i saw no mention on doordash tasks website that Texas is not allowed.

Good BUT…... Can’t finish the “start up” task for the $10 but It’s great but when you move your hand to sweep mop or put something away it just stops recording and never picks back up so you’ll do your whole task and not get credit for it

Best app. I already received 800 dollars in two weeks, It is a good app. I love it

Works great!. I made $50 in the first week! The headset didn’t have instructions & I didn’t think it would fit at first, but you’re able adjust it & eventually get it to fit correctly. It is kind of annoying how they want you to have both hands visible at times especially when you’re flipping laundry inside out & the hand isn’t visible or turning a plant upside down & a hand is hidden, but it didn’t go against me either way. App works great! Also.. if we aren’t the ones doing it, someone else will to eventually replace us, so might as well be the one getting paid to teach the beast system as it is. One day we will all be gone anyways. It is what it is.

Disappearing tasks. I’ve been trying this for around and month and the tasks keep disappearing and then something the videos will not upload it’s very buggy and frustrating but it is nice extra cash for things I do on a regular basis but not if the tasks are going to continue to go missing

Jobs. It wants you to sign up for it, but it doesn’t have it in your area, which makes it rather disappointing.

DoorDash Creates More Junk. First of all, I thought the idea of training AI would be fun so I obtained the free mount from DoorDash. It even has its DoorDash logo on it. Then I realized the mount sent has a design flaw because remember anytime you record something or take a picture it’s backwards from what the user sees. The Task App doesn’t allow you to invert the camera image on your phone so you’re guessing if what you’re doing is what they want. The first task is washing dishes. Remember your mount and camera will now be above a sink of soapy water. You better make sure the smartphone is secure in the mount for at least 3 minutes while receiving zero feedback while washing and rinsing dishes. I’m deleting the App and officially declaring once again DoorDash absolutely lacks competence within the AI arena. And, they don’t care.

Good introduction. Its very simple to get into i just completed my intro task after my head mount came in the mail

Awesome so far!. Really enjoying the app so far. This has really helped to make ends meet during this time of inflation.

Getting paid. This is a great side job to make some little extra money, being a live in care taker for my parents, I don’t get to leave the house much often and am blessed to have this opportunity now I’m almost never broke.

When can I use it in New York City. Waiting to use it

Great side hustle. I just did my first task and got paid for it, it was $1 but that’s enough to let me know that it actually works to get paid to do what we’re already supposed to do…genius!

Running out of storage space. I’ve made $160 so far off of 30 videos but those videos have taken up 34GB of space which only leaves me with 23GB of storage left. I’m very happy to have made the money from hiking and from the comfort of my own home but the only issue I have is I’m running out of available space. Wish there was a way to offload the storage each week to make room for more videos submissions.

Camera function doesn’t work. The app will open the camera but the record button/function doesn’t work. I’m unable to submit any tasks.

Bugs. Won’t even let me get past clicking the button to sign in. Shows I clicked sign in and then freezes.

Genuinely Evil. You are being paid pennies to train the robots that will replace you and the generative AI that is destroying the planet and people’s minds. Incredibly disappointing as a long time platinum dasher, and makes me think much, much less of DoorDash as a company. One star is far too many

Great to use. Very clearly labels tasks and how to properly do them unlike others of its kind and pays you promptly after review. Love using it.

You are training your robot replacement. Anyone who does this, just know you are training your replacement that will never get tired, never complain, never takes breaks, all this data is being collected for pennies on the dollar, if you knew your worth you would avoid helping them but I doubt you will listen. Don’t sell out for pennies for them to take all your data and replace you with robots, you have control still since YOU are the product.

Good app. Just don’t feel comfortable recording myself for I am a private person but will do it is necessary to make money in this economy..

Very rough start. This app has a lot of promise but it feels like no one actually tried to use it in the way intended before release. I’m a dasher so I was offered a free head/chest mount. You need these to do the tasks. So here are some issues I encountered. Theres no section of the app for setting up and testing your head mount and you can’t exactly see what’s happening on your screen with it strapped to your head. Once you get the head mount all adjusted and angled correctly, you realize that the head mount is completely covering the record button. My hands were in view the whole time but it kept telling me they weren’t. I had to stop and flatten out my hands to get the app to recognize them again.

Trashy and buggy. Every time I finish signing in, after I put in the code and everything, it says “not authenticated please sign in” and takes me back to the first screen. And it sends me an email telling me I signed in to a new device. The email just tells me I signed in, and the app tells me I need to sign in again. Wouldn’t trust them to pay you if their app is too buggy to even sign in.

Dystopia. Would you rather: A) Get paid to wash dishes B) Let the robots take this job too This is so incredibly dystopian and wrong. You should be ashamed of yourselves

Camera Function Not Working. Gets stuck on 1st task & says Initializing camera. Never progresses.

App doesn’t work. Camera orientation won’t work. Makes you film in horizontal but asks you to point the camera downwards. iPhone then makes the video vertical and your video will be rejected. Needs an orientation lock or they just need to flip the video on their end. Update 3/28/26 app no longer shows any tasks

All Positive Reviews Look Fake - Buggy App. First, this app allowed login, but would never allow the camera to work. I’m not in any of the listed “unallowed markets”. I then turned on location services out of curiosity and tried to connect to WiFi network only and it now refuses to allow sign in AFTER correct account and 2FA code and says my market (Virginia) is not allowed. The extra cherry on top is that when it allowed me to sign in — it was using cell towers from New York which actually IS listed as not allowed.

I love it. I like this is like a game 😂

DoorDash is the greediest company ever!. I do not recommend, DoorDash is just completely greedy and sneaky, each task for example says they will pay you for said task at an hourly rate of let’s say $15 and hour, but here’s the catch each tasks you can only record for about 20 mins max or so. Per there example on the app here is quote of how it works “if a task shows a rate of $15/hour and your approved submission reflects 15 minutes of work, your payout would be $3.75” this is completely greedy and they could easily pay us per task, but they don’t want to. Stay away from DoorDash in general they are worst gig app you could work. I recommend Walmart Spark, Amazon flex, hell even Shipt is better than DoorDash!

Could Be Better!. I would say the Task.app is okay. You get a chump change for doing basic home task for couple minute video. While recording you have to have 2 hand at all time shown on screen, when hands are still in the shot it’s will state there’s no hand present. Payout takes extremely long. After a few videos you should completed the 30 mins for $35 yet you won’t receive your money until days later. It’s a okay app if you have no other things to do with your time or if you’re stuck at home, just be sure to have a head/body mount cause of course we all have those laying around.
