Why make it worse?. Last years layout was far better. Less crowded and user friendly. Players score blocks now sit on top of some players names when looking at matchups, padlocks are too clunky. And choosing the display I want isn’t a permanent choice, I have to select the view I want each time. What happened to the ability to search via a team? Looking for free agents is frustrating.

No good. I used the afl fantasy app last year, not great however it’s probably a 3 star quality app. After the season I then use the NFL fantasy app, which is a 5 star quality app - great app. So I come back to AFL fantasy this season and see there’s a new app for Draft, excited. Let’s go…. But this is the worst app, the worst. The team of interns you hired to design and deploy this piece of trash need to burn it and rebuild. It looks bad, it doesn’t work half the time on iOS and often requires a relog, crash, reopen to even access the UI nightmare that is this app.

Poor App. Poor application that requires constant updates and is hard to navigate. All simplicity previously adapted has gone. Released to early before proper user testing and feedback. Makes it hard to actually have interest In it tbh is year

Awful. This app is unusable. Massive buttons to cater for 3 year olds. Huge lock symbols to really make you know you’re not paying. The ability to dump and select players is about 10 interactions, and there are no live scores in the matchup screen. How can we get the old app back? I want to be able to see my team, live scores, and head to head match up. Those should the only screens we need on the landing page

Horrible app redesign. The old app was easy to use and was fine. This new app is so busy, unintuitive and takes up too much space. You used to be able to view your whole team on the screen at once, but now they have made everything so big you constantly have to scroll and click around to use it. Garbage app design trying to do something new for no reason.

AFL Fantasy Draft has been destroyed. The previous AFL Fantasy Draft website and app was perfect. This new app is totally unusable. The platform has destroyed our league with incorrect scores and incorrect restricted free agent moves processing and changing the order. It has totally destroyed our league. Unforgivable and a mind boggling decision to over complicate and try fix something that wasn’t broken!!!

Shame. Round 1 and the app has been really poor to use. Frequently gets stuck in a perpetual loading screen, adding RFA players from the players screen simply fails too often, the fixtures and matchup tabs cancel each other out (what was the point of this?), the old layout is far far superior to this new one which is clunky and doesn’t fit well on a phone screen. Can’t believe this made it out of testing

Needs work. Constantly having to login each time I open the app or unlock phone. Always having to find match Up that should have its own Tab at the bottom instead of match centre. I mainly want to check scores for this week’s Match Up. Match Up doesn’t always show correct players to what match is selected.

Worst app ever. This app actually gives me anxiety to use. Why would you change something that worked fine. It makes me want to stop doing draft all together and I love playing. Whoever said this was good to use should be fired.

User experience gone mad. Why ruin a good thing? The app has some how taken a Mason Cox sized leap backwards. It’s impressive this could have gone through a design process and ended up so poorly. Makes me not want to play the game as the app is so unintuitive and painful to navigate.

Fix the ladder page!. Why is the ladder page so zoomed in? Give me a condensed version which allows me to see whatever info I need without having to swipe up and down or right to left a massive amount. When swiping left or right the names disappear as well which means you can’t tell who is who anyway

So Buggy. So buggy atm. Points for aren’t correct for me on the ladder. Below my actual score. Probably because of the bug where my captain score didnt double. Disappointing app after what was promised.

Booted from league , help goes to nothing screen. This is by far the worst of the normally average apps from AFL. Just flat out booted from league while trying to make changes, when clicking on help button it goes to a nothing screen. Just making basic substitutions doesn’t work. At least revert back to last years version

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. This is a classic case of over engineering. The fantasy app used to be great, reliable and simple to utilise. Now the app is clunky, buggy and much less user friendly. This is akin to when shapes changed the flavour of their biscuits for no reason and they all became way less tasty. Listen to your consumers AFL fantasy, revert the app back to what it was just like Arnotts did with the shapes.

Bad Fix for Something Not Broken. The previous draft platform had some bugs but was a generally a useable app. This new app is far too busy, unintuitive and has overcomplicated the uncomplicated whilst still feeling buggy. Important daily knowledge for draft players such as last round scores, L3 and L5 are now found under additional tabs. No one cares about ownership % during a season in draft, yet it’s on the general tab. A simple but important feature such as filtering by AFL club is now gone. The overwhelm of colour and bold texts on team and matchup pages is an odd design choice that in theory allows for simpler differentiation positions and info, but in practice is again busy and gives a sense of clutter. The team screen also misses that key info of L3/L5 or even simply last round score. The team page is also far too long for a phone app requiring multiple scrolls to go top to bottom making it feel difficult to capture a sense of your whole team. All in all, the app gives a sense of overwhelm and clutter when all the platform ever needed was tweaks.

Lazy. It’s been months - it would take a long time to list all of the various issues with this app which would be a waste since they won’t be fixed. However - you need to fix the issues around viewing matchups other than your own. Why does it reset to my matchup any time I want to look at another one? I can’t see what is going on around the league, this is such a big issue. Frustrating.

Too many bugs. The app is super buggy, sometimes it takes forever to load, other times random features just stop working. I also do not like how the TOG% feature was unable to be changed for emergencies

What have you done. This could possibly be the worst change/update to an app of all time. This app is the opposite of user friendly and a nightmare to sort your team out on. From players being stuck in injury replacement to RFA suggesting you to delist 2 players in order to pick up 1. Revert everything and start again, no good

Drafting a breeze!. Draft Board is a game changer! Easy to use. Draft is my favourite way to play against my mates. Get on board the new updated game that has been rebuilt.

Draft app needs work. Over engineered to include a whole bunch of useless features. The original fantasy app had everything you needed. Basic things are missing like viewing a players scores across all previous games for example. App constantly bugs out when trying to look at matchups within your league mid round. The only decent thing added was draft board which is great during the initial draft then not required during rest of the season

Pathetic. What genius decided that instead of making good improvements to the existing app, taking us back to the stone ages with the clunkiest piece of junk ‘new’ app would be a good idea. We have a large group of players over 2 leagues that have been dedicated fantasy nerds for a decade, and there are legitimate talks to delete the league, the app and move to SuperCoach this year. Sort out this mess IMMEDIATELY!!!

Perpetual reload nightmare. I have literally reinstalled this app 5 times because it gets stuck on a loading screen… no back button, no home button, no exit and start fresh… just delete and reinstall. Life is hard enough, without the requirement to deal with this app in its current state.

0 stars. wish i could give this app zero stars. never felt like such a boomer on an app before. why is it so difficult to navigate, signs me out every time i use it, can’t swap players unless i delete the app and reinstall it. why is it also SO enlarged… is my phone on x2 zoom??? makes me not want to participate because of how difficult it is to use. bring back the old version.

Bad. Needs fixing. Can’t see players previous match stats from team view or player search. Too clunky. Lists are too big for phone screen. Needs to be made more compact for phone use.

Makes me log in every 5 minutes. I may have to abandon using the app altogether due to the fact that it repetitively asks me to sign in every time I flip to another app and back again. This is surely not meant to be designed this way and must be putting heaps of needless traffic on the sign in page. Why did you not test this before releasing it?!? The AFL needs to take action with its suppliers to provide a product that at least functions properly. Also there is a massive lag from team announcements to players showing that they are selected or not. And lastly there is a huge lag from a scoring possession and the possession showing on their scores. It used to be almost instant and is now ten minutes or more. Why oh why did they not test this properly.

Buggy as hell. Generally an improvement over the previous app, missing some features over the old draft app like offering a player to the league. Also why is there no function to chat to draft mates? Additionally every time they update the app there is like 5 new bugs…. Just recently I’m now unable to update the waiver priority?

Unbelievably bad. Developers - please fix the back feature. When I hit back in the app from a fixture/game view it takes me back to the homepage. Also can’t view other peoples teams it just refreshes over it with my own team. You guys have absolutely cooked this hahahaha

Please give us the old app back. The old app was perfect and bug-free. This new one is awful, full of bugs and just terrible to use. Has ruined our league that has been running successfully for years, no one takes it seriously anymore. 0 stars.

Worst App I’ve ever used. Awful layout, difficult to navigate and doesn’t offer the intuition that the previous app did. It’s gone backwards at a rate of knots. Some of the new features are really slick, but it seems ridiculous that it was rolled out in what feels like an unfinished app.

Needs work. Have sent a few emails suggesting improvements / updates but may as well capture here as well - why can’t we see a players game logs on the app? This is basic fantasy 101. You shouldn’t have to go to the website to see this info, put it on the players profiles, it was available last year, if it works on the website it can work on the app - what’s with all the huge gold locks everywhere and greyed out scores on the fixtures? Get rid of that it looks trashy, just looks like a money grab - the win % thing on the home page isn’t working, stuck on 0%? Why display it if it’s not working? - the players tab should display available players as default i.e RFA’s / FA’s. showing owned players just makes navigating to available players to add twice as hard - next year when dynasty functionality comes in, future draft pick trading and rookie slots is a must - get rid of the match centre tab, just make that your fantasy matchup tab! All we want to see is our fantasy matchup scores, our team page, the ladder / league page and waivers / free agents tab, the match centre tab is not critical info

New app. The new AFL Fantasy app is a major step backward from the previous version. The interface is unintuitive, making simple tasks like team management frustrating. There’s no search function for players, which is baffling for an app centered around selecting and trading them. Loopholing, a key part of AFL Fantasy strategy, is now riddled with issues, making it unreliable. Overall, the app feels clunky and harder to use than before. The old version wasn’t perfect, but at least it was functional—this one just makes playing more frustrating than fun. Hopefully, future updates fix these problems.

Not user friendly. I get logged off so many times. Adding players is difficult. Would like to see break down of stats when I click on players. The overview page is redundant

Unusable. Honestly it’s the worst most unusable app I’ve ever come across. Whoever thought this was a better idea that the last version should be fired. Have decided that I just won’t bother with draft this year because of this app. I’ll stick to the SuperCoach and Dream Team apps

You’ve ruined draft with this app. As title says, it makes no sense the way you’ve set this app up. Why try and reinvent the wheel? It’s not at all user friendly. Difficult to figure out how to do any of the basic functions and this comes from a computer savvy 28 yo

Terrible. I do not understand how you can make this app so bad. I don’t think you could do a worse job. The latest update seemed to screw it up even more. Glitchy & not user friendly. Terrible app.

Do you ever test these apps with people who actually use them??. Good that you’ve added some features, but please test the apps on actual users before you release them. Within 1 minute of use the glaring issue of not being able to see more than two players at a time whilst drafting is evident. Why is the draft board not able to be minimised, or on a separate tab? I need to see the players left to draft a lot more than who other teams have picked. Please fix it.

Terrible usability. Nothing is easy to find. Interface is cluttered and hard to navigate. The draft board form the start of the season is one of the main pages but is useless after draft is finished. It doesn’t seem to be showing players scored ad the game goes only once game is finished. Kind of ruined our fantasy so far as several members of the league are frustrated by the app after 4 years of having no issues with the former version.

Draft Issue. Hi, had a disaster draft glitch on three separate occasions. Where I would leave the app then go back in to draft a player when my turn was on and the sound worked but draft tiles didn’t show up making me miss my picks. I would then have to exit app and get back in for it to work. Please fix so it doesnt ruin other peoples draft experience. Thanks

Awful. Fix the bugs. Some okay additions but so many things wrong. I like the ability to make the screen smaller in matchup but then you can’t see who is captain or VC. Why even have an option to see the screen with huge player pictures on it?! The app keeps logging out so you have to sign in. The matchup swipe is stupid. Why go straight to the draft board when clicking on league. Get to the action. Oh and don’t forget most people have paid 20 bucks to make this junk somewhat usable! Where has that money gone?! What a rort. I could go on. Please revert asap. What the hell

Buggy mcbugface. I was excited to see a new interface within the app but that exciting quickly went down when I saw that the match centre had been infiltrated by an army of bugs. Now live player scores don’t take into account your custom rules. The bug that would always move the match up back to your own match up when trying to look at others now exists in the match centre page moving it back to the first game of the round when looking at live scores. Did anyone consider testing prior to putting an update out or were you pushed to hit an imaginary deadline that does no one any favours and ruins the experience for your players?

Missing basic features. Sadly the app is missing basic features eg. RFA priority not displayed anywhere on the app. Player stats for individual games and previous seasons are also missing. Devs have obviously never played fantasy football.

Not good. I tried to take 2 players off an IR spot, it wouldn’t let me even though I dropped my entire bench, then the game started and my player on IR got locked and now I can’t make any edits to my team for the rest of the round. Then when my commissioner tried to email support they condescendingly said “has he tried using the desktop”, yes obviously I did that for an hour straight?? They bragged all summer about how good it was and there is not a single improvement from the old app incredibly.

What were they thinking. Wow, just wow. Every change on this ap has made things less functional, and clunky. An another update - what is going to be worse this time? If I could give this review 0 stars I would.

Glitchy and not intuitive. Nice try, but needs much more work. Makes you sign-in every 5min. Very difficult to look at stats - should be able to look at history from previous years easily. Need to continuously switch between different apps to get the details you need.

Too many bugs. Why does the captain score not show a multiplied score and only get added to the total? Why can’t we see the other teams captains and emergencies in the consolidated view? Why is it much harder to navigate than the previous app? I don’t even think I can sort players by their team in real life now either when searching? So many issues, need to seriously reconsider following the old model this is a joke.

If it ain’t broke, fix it anyways. Bugs everywhere, seems clunky, captains scores not displayed, loopholing is nonexistent, managing team takes 3-4 business days, just a complete backwards step from previous years… moving to SuperCoach

No longer works. The new app doesn’t calculate scores correctly. It also leaves out captains and emergencies at random. There are a host of other issues but these can wait until the basic scoring function of the app is fixed. It is destroying the integrity of our league

Not functional. Key functions seem to have been omitted or forgotten on the app. Like the ability to pick up / drop free agents. Filter players by selected / not selected. Having to deselect emergency to make another player emergency. Rather than the new selection overriding. Making the interaction not user friendly.

Great additions. Great app and regular updates that are focused on a better experience for the fantasy fan.
