Bait and switch with gasoline discounts. I receive Mapco emails and phone texts offering 5 cents to 10 cents off per gallon on my next purchase. Two issues- the first is if I don’t buy the gasoline that day or very early the next day the additional discount does not appear at the pumps. The second issue is if I am offered a 5 cent discount per gallon or 10 cents per gallon at the pumps I am offered 3 cents or 5 cents as a Mapco customer. I am offered discounts on candy bars, microwave breakfast biscuits, slurped, and coffee inside the store. Those overpriced items are not what I buy locally or when traveling. Sometimes the pumps will not honor the discount offered at the pump for non-ethanol gasoline. What gives.

Rating. The service was awesome I just wish they would give more points or take less points but other than that I enjoy my visit at MAPCO

No more Apple Pay. I used this app for the convenience of being able to pay with Apple Pay and not having to use a physical card. It is no longer offered and it wants my direct checking account or Venmo. I will likely not use this app anymore.

Store Locations. The app isn’t bad, but if you are wanting it to show you stores that are close, that doesn’t work well at all. You basically have to to move the map around before will show you anything. I was sitting 3 miles from a store and the app displayed no stores nearby.

Trash app. Throw the designer of this app in the trash. They don’t deserve to make apps! Can’t save the password for the app but will save it on the website. Won’t let me use Face ID to unlock the app either. It asks for passcode and allows 4 numbers while your passcode has to be at least 6 smh. Stupid. Also tired of y’all giving a discount for just one day. Like I don’t check my email every morning at 6 I check em at night when I get home then see oh mapco Gave me an extra 10 cents off a gallon check the expiration on it and it’s in 4 hrs like that’s some bs. Until y’all get it together imma steal some candy every time I hit a store

Great new look and security!. The MAPCO mobile app has changed dramatically for the better! Its sleek, modern design and user-friendly interface make it a breeze to navigate, making my day to day experience simple. I see my rewards points and fuel discounts right away. The integration with Venmo allows me to pay the way I want to pay, either at the pump or inside. I highly recommend.

Major downgrade. The latest changes to the app have rendered it mostly unusable. Sometimes it doesn’t recognize that I’m at one of the stores. Sometimes it won’t activate the pump. And the new payment methods (forcing through Venmo or connecting a bank account) is a major hassle. Not with the effort to use it.

app charges twice. i pumped my gas and used the app. This app has not only done this one, but twice, they charged me twice for the same transaction! On the mapco app it only has down that it was charged once, but i look in my bank account and it has charged me twice! I love mapco, it has all my favored snacks and drinks but when it come to gas it’s a pain.

App odd errors. I had no problems using this app to Mobile pay for gas 2 weeks ago. Today I stopped at a MAPCO to pay for gas and get a velocity device_id blocked error, asking me to add payment. I already had a saved payment method??? I then uninstall app and re-install on my phone, now I am getting this velocity device_id blocked error when trying to login. Please fix!

Used to be ok. When I first got the app it was decent enough for getting a discount but has since removed the ability to use Apple Pay. Instead you have to use Venmo or checking. Deleted my account because no longer worth the effort for minimal reward.

MAPCO is running customers off. The MAPCO app and experience were once great - enter a pump #, select Apple Pay (or credit card), pump gas, receive discount, done. Now the app only accepts Venmo or personal bank account, as confirmed by official responses from MAPCO here in the review section. (BTW, MAPCO has not updated its website to say that the app now no longer accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, nor credit cards.) I am not giving my personal banking info to either MAPCO or Venmo (see Venmo’s recent majority 1-star reviews). Seems to me that MAPCO is trying to get around credit card transaction fees at the risk of losing convenience and options for customers. While I appreciated MAPCO rewards once, convenience and secure transactions are now more important to me, so I, my family, and apparently many other customers (based on first-hand experience seeing irate customers at the gas station today and seeing reviews of the latest app version) will be taking our business elsewhere.

Great App!!. I love the app!! Easy to navigate, quick pay from the phone! I always leave my rewards card in the car but this app takes care of that! The app keeps track of my receipts! Thank you, MAPCO!!

App has quit working. After going through customer care and performing all of their suggested troubleshooting, the app won’t allow me to login… works fine logging in through the browser, but not the app. Seems the upgraded version isn’t as reliable as the previous version

Thank you. I would like to thank all of the MAPCO employees who helped participate in the free gas for 500 people today. That was a blessing that many of us individuals needed. You all are appreciated and everyday are making a difference.

Love paying at the pump!. A lot faster to fuel up and don’t even have to enter rewards number anymore to get my discounts and points.

This is biggest scam and garbage I ever seen. I don’t normally write reviews ever. So the fact I’m spending time out of my day to write this should say something. The 20 cents off when you 1st use it can only be up to 30 gals pass that it won’t work. I tried to stack like it showed at the pumps. That doesn’t work. They needed my id to get the amount I needed only for it to be like a 6 cent discount. Everyone person i see now at a MAPCO im letting them know before they get the card

Set way to choose default store. I am nearer to a MAPCO location, but the one I shop at regularly has lower prices. I would like to set that store as my default, but so far I have not found a way to do so.

Points on my card.. 2 weeks ago I was returning from middle Tennessee, and stopped at a MAPCO called and asked about using my points, the lady wouldn’t let me use them and gas was very high where I stopped. I came on up the road and stopped at Exxon gas was cheaper there. I thought to myself I will just start using Exxon. I don’t like the way Ive been treated by MAPCO the past few months. My card got to where it wouldn’t scan the lady told me I needed to call for a new card so I did.A friend of mine and I have had our cards for years, but she types in her phone number. So they were still giving her 10 cents while I got less. I called and complained so they started giving me 10 again., but guess what they started giving my best friend 25 cents. And that’s why I’m going to Exxon if I can find one or switch to something else.

New refresh working better. Happy to see improvement in app for better use

What happened to apply pay?. Don’t get me wrong I love the new app update and everything but what happened to apple pay? I have never used venmo a day in my life now I have to go inside every time because I need to use venmo to pay at the pump. PLEASE put apple pay back.

Can’t see prices after the update. It’s a good app but after they updated it you can’t even see the dang prices. to add it doesn’t have all of the mapcos on the app. therefor i can’t pay with my phone

Mobile App easy!!!. Quickly finds your favorite location, giving ease of payment, during these troubling COVID-19 times. Associates have been more than helpful, giving assistance, while offering special REWARDS throughout the store.

Communication errors. Unable to redeem rewards. Now the application will not let me redeem points for rewards. There's always an error saying it cannot communicate with the server. And it is very frustrating when I have to log in each time whilst standing at the pump.

Simple and Convenient. Easy to use and very innovative in terms of paying through the app! I love it!

I’m out!. This app was once the only app I used for fuel and would almost always get gas at MAPCO, but they now only take Venmo or connect to your bank account so I'm out. I get that credit card fees to stores are high, but to just not take them is not good customer service. Instead they should promote the other payment methods but still take credit. Imagine going to a store or the pump to find they don't take credit. That's pretty much what they've just done to their app users. So, we'll just go to a competitor. Bad move MAPCO.

Much improved app. This version of the app is a great improvement. To get to 5 stars I would like for the app to remember my name and password or allow me to sign in with my fingerprint. The extra time it takes to enter my name and password does away with any advantage of using the app for mobile pay. Frequent user

Problem communicating with the server. It always says there was a problem communicating with the server. It says this all the time and I can almost never use my points because of this.

New update only allows Venmo or checking account payments. You have lost a customer. Since you updated the payment options to Venmo or linking a checking account, I will be going elsewhere. Some people don’t use Venmo nor want their checking account linked. Very disappointed.

Can’t redeem rewards. I can see my points and what is in the catalog, but once I select a reward it doesn’t let me scroll to actually redeem the reward. Cashiers have suggested to just do it online but it would be nice if the app worked... it’s a convenience thing. Please help!

Can’t unlock rewards anymore. Would give 5 stars if I could figure out how to unlock rewards. Used to be able to. Over 2,000 points and can’t even unlock 400 points for a fountain drink. I can’t be this stupid. Have tried uninstalling/reinstalling. Wish I could get rewards to work again.

New app design. Love the new design! Looks really modern and cool. Glad mobile pay is back with more payment options.

MAPCO The Worst App Ever?—Good Chance. This app should not even be in the App Store, it's the worst app I've ever experienced. This evening (7/13) I tried to use the app to pay at the pump at Store #3666, 9101 Lee Hwy. The app would not complete the transaction when I tried to activate the pump and I got the message, "failed to activate the pump"; this happened on several attempts. Now my Venmo account has been frozen and I've gotten fraud alerts from my bank. James was very helpful in trying to resolve the issue, but to no avail. Thanks MAPCO There are more negative points I could include about my experience but no one wants to read and unending review

Paytronix error??. The app is getting worse! Now I can’t even log in. The app no longer lets me see my points OR redeem points!! I continually get a Paytronix error. Absolute garbage. Please fix this issue so I can continue to use my rewards. I usually drive out of my way to get to a Mapco. But if the app doesn’t let me use my points, I may as well go to a gas station that’s actually on my route home.

Great at first. Used it for several years and was really glad to be using it but this new app update comes out. And now we need a Venmo account? I don’t think so. Its not friendly at all and we can’t add our cards to the app any other way other then getting a Mapco debit card which is just a no go i hate to say.

Used to be great. This app once was wonderful; frequent gas, discounts, and discounts on other items in the store, with an easy integration with Apple Pay. Now, like so many other companies, and trying to improve things, they actually make it worse. They have reduced the functionality and taken out Apple Pay as an option, instead requesting your personal bank information or Venmo. Neither of which I feel comfortable giving out. Do you need only look at Internet reviews of horrible situations with Venmo to get an idea of why. Apple Pay is extremely secure and knock on wood. I have never had an issue with it. I’m sure the stems from some sort of Costco in measure within MAPCO. I am not going to be using this app to pay for gas until this situation is resolved.

Mobile pay is back. The new app looks a lot better and finally mobile pay is back. Loved that I can use Apple Pay and get some extra benefits on that. The maps and store location looks great and you can see gas price back again. Absolutely good for me!

Update on previous review. Problem solved no more issues it was a simple fix. Many thanks to Ashley who was a big help

What did you do to the app…. These new “improvements” removed the ability to use Apple Pay and/or debit/credit card mobile payments. Now our only option is Venmo and Checking? Seriously… I tried Venmo and it wouldn’t connect so I ended up having to use an actual card at the pump which defeats the point of the app outside of looking at rewards. Very disappointed.

Emma. Love getting and using fuel discounts and points for free items. The App was updated recently and I love the changes.

Thank you Mapco for keeping fuel prices low. I give my business all to Mapco . I save on every fill up with you . I would appreciate improving your showers . Every thing else is very nice and courteous .

Not letting me log in. For some reason it’s not letting me log in. Yesterday I wasn’t able to log in at all so I changed my password, and it still wouldn’t let me log in. The next day (today) I tried logging in again, and it will log me in for a second, then the app will freeze and go to my homepage, and when I went back into the app I was signed out. I’ve tried to do this multiple times to make sure it wasn’t just my phone glitching, but it’s definitely the app.

Mapco Mobile Pay. Awesome job updating the app. Can now have a touch less, safe experience at the register and at the pump. I love the fact that you can pay at pump before even stepping out of the vehicle. Can’t wait till Apple Pay works in the stores!!!

Only 2 ways to pay. When I first downloaded the app is was just fine. Added my banks debit card and went on about my business. Had to stop this morning and the app has recently been updated. Now my payment option has been removed and I can on either add a Venmo card or ad my bank account. Which means DL number and bank account info. Before all was needed was the card number so it can be charged. In my opinion…don’t bother with this crap. Just go in and get a rewards card off the counter.

Ease of use. Absolutely love the new app! My favorite is mobile pay- authorizing a pump without touching anything or going inside is extremely convenient.

Love paying with my phone!. This new app has some features I really like: Face ID, paying with my phone, and geofencing. Mapco did a great job with this app, and I look forward to using it the next time I need gas.

Mapco is all I use bc of the loyalty program, prices, and the friendly workers. Nothing shows

I lost all my Reward Points. Circle K has taken over my two favorite MAPCO locations, and it's a mess. Familiar employees have left, and gas pumps are empty except for premium. Bummer. But on the positive side, I downloaded the Circke K app and got a 25-cent/gallon discount for premium.

MAPCO App. I love the mobile pay option, especially, paying at the pump. This really speeds up the transaction!! Paying in store is also fast and simple!

Won’t let me login. Went to login put in my email and password. Red box came up siting error. Encouraged me to reset password. Went to website reset password, and the app still won’t let me log in (mind you, I can log in on the website, just not the app) I reinstalled the app same problem. Sign in as guest, none of the features work. Don’t know what happened in a span of a couple of days, but this app is now useless.

Great Update !!!. Friendly and easy to use !!! Love to be able to see the fuel price, pay at the pump and inside store without touching with my CC even more during COVID.

Terrible Update. MAPCO has eliminated Apple Pay from their app. Now you have to pay with Venmo or your personal checking account. No way I’m giving them my checking account information.

Doesn’t work 90% of time. I have reset password have got in for a few seconds then quit. Now all I get is unknown error

Can’t pay. When I try to pay through the app it asks for the pump number I’m at. When I input this, it says that pump is already in ise.

App failure. The app crashes every time I log in. Didn’t used to do that.

Does not work. Cannot even log in.

Frustrated. Once again, I sat at the pump trying to figure out how to pay for gas on my iPhone. I go to MAPCO for gas; not snacks, not drinks, gas. Gas, gas, gas. Yet, there is no clear icon for buying gas. And, don’t even get me started on the MAPCO Better Debit Card … This app is not at all intuitive. Can’t submit catalog selection. iOS app won’t let me submit items in catalog to use in store

Bad update. Since the last update, I am unable to sign in through the app.

Filters are useless. Any filter in the map view only shows “All results filtered”. I just want to know what locations have DEF at the pump… but DEF this isn’t even a filter option.

worked at mapco. this app likes to log you out and even CS will say they don’t know why. i use it for gas but that’s it. very laggy.

Can not redeem rewards. I have over 8300 points but reward for 15 cents off on gasoline is locked and there is no info here on how to unlock it. What are the points for?

Inconsistent at best. This used to work very well. Over the past few months it’s absolute hot dog water. Burn this app to the ground and start over. Your loyal customers deserve an app that actually works.

FaceID. App will not allow you to reset forgotten passcode to turn on FaceID

Bank info. With the new update I lost my way to pay at the pump from my phone. My bank info is gone and it isn’t allowing me to reenter it. So I lost my ABSOLUTE favorite part of the app with this update.

Needs to be reworked. Only good for seeing reward points. It ask you for a 4 digit passcode that I have never setup and tells you to relog back in to change and that doesn’t work. Needs to be reworked.

New update broke App. Been using the app for years, now it won’t let me add my credit card and Apple Pay.

Can’t login to add reward card to wallet passes. Why is there no option to add your reward number to your wallet pass ?

Frustrating. Looks to be a good app if I could actually get into it.. keeps saying loyalty identifiers already in use and won’t let me submit my info to even get into the app and try to claim rewards from all my saved up points I have.. so I give it a 1 star

Doesn’t work with Apple Pay. Cant pay at the pump through the app using Apple Pay. Gets declined every time

Rewards are locked. I got an email regarding my points expiring, but when I went to redeem my points(8,862)…the max was 20 cents off and it’s locked.

Update. Server error is all mine says can’t login

Can’t use. My employee rewards aren’t showing up, and I can’t redeem my points. Five stars once it is fixed and functions better

App Does not let you get rewards. I called the helpline and they said they were open until 6 PM. It is now 4:25 PM so no help was given this is the second time I’ve called very disappointed!

I don’t use Venmo. For years I been using this app to pay for my gas at the pump. I already had a debit card saved or I used Apple Pay now it’s telling me to add a car through Venmo. I don’t have Venmo. Please change back

PIN does not work. I put in my PIN and account and it said that it was incorrect. I thought maybe I forgot my PIN so I tried to retrieve my PIN. It kept asking for me to reset my password.😖

Could not add points. I wanted to use some of my points at the pump but could not add points for my gasoline. I used my usual 3 cents off but did not get much gas.

Trash. App is not working and it’s trash just like the stores. I use to love the MAPCO and now bathrooms are trash and the stores are always dirty. I understand people don’t want to work anymore but dang.
