Channel Scan does not work. Same as others. After performing the channel scan, I am unable to view any live tv channels.

Channel Scan Crashes App. Channel scanning finds 100+ stations, but crashes app after finishing scanning. No channels are saved so you repeat channel scanning over and over again. Please fix.

Terrible buggy system with no customer support!. I’ve had this system for a couple of years it just gets worse every month. Constantly having to reboot it to be able to delete recordings. System tv guide that you need to set recordings recently began having issues not listing all channels. Now it won’t record at all. Tried factory reset didn’t do any good. Now it won’t save scanned channels. Who is programming this thing? High school shop class?

Channel scan doesn’t work. I scan 80 channels when I do the channel scan but then the channels don’t load after that. I can’t watch live tv, I can only watch my recordings.

Scam. I downloaded the “free”app and was charged $80.49

If it ain’t broke….. Classic Amazon taking something that worked and making it worse. Why do I need 3 apps to set up my Fire TV blaster? I could live with 2… but 3? This is ridiculous. And the worst part is it doesn’t even work.

FIRE is dead. And Amazon doesn’t care. Drank the Fire “Kool-Aid” for years TV, Stick, Cube & Recast and now they have filed for DIVORCE? Hey Amz, fool me once or maybe four times - done with your Fire…

Can’t allow network access. Like prior review; it tells me I must allow network access, yet there’s no option for that when it take me to app, settings. Really stupid Amazon.

Won’t Play Shows. I’ve tried this app on multiple iphones and an iPad but none of them can connect to the FireTV Recast and show me any recorded shows. It also says I don’t have any channels but that part of the app hasn’t worked in a while. I just want an app to view the recorded shows on the Recast. I can watch them on FireTV sticks I have around the house but it just doesn’t work on this app. Please fix this Amazon.

Same old issues. I’ve had a Fire TV recast for a few years now. One of the reasons I purchased it was that it would allow me to watch my local channels on the go, including recordings. Even with this new app, it still has the same issues. Although when you open up the app, you can see thumbnails of what’s on TV in the local area, but when you select that option, it tries to load, gets near the end and gives you the message cannot load. Same thing happens with recordings Amazon if you’re listening there’s no reason this app should not work. If the recast needs a firmware update, then update the firmware!

Doesn’t connect most of the time. When the app connects it’s fine but 80% of the time it will not connect. Must be my Recast? Hmmm, works fine from the Firestick but not the iPad. The app is the difference. Amazon doesn’t care.

Network access bug fixed. Finally can set up the network properly. Took me 4 attempts to pass the captcha, V or Y? g or q? Seems a little unnecessary since this app only accesses OTA and dvr.

Nope! April update broke it. Now network issue is WORSE! Amazon is a joke.

It’s unfortunate and unusable. In recent years this platform has seen a major decline in both support and functionality. This new app presents the same set of issues that had developed over time with the previous one. It suffers from poor connection…the window panes for shows are present, but buffer to about 95% before failing. When I (attempt to) select from many stored recordings, the app closes abruptly, time and time again. For anyone still hanging on to hope that Amazon will revitalize their DVR devices…I think it’s safe to say, that time has passed. They HAVE thrown in the towel.
