Crossword Master - Word Puzzle Game Reviews

Glitchy Game!. I have been playing this game for a few weeks now & I really like it, but it’s glitching really bad, game just closes in the middle of a game or when an ad is played. You have to constantly keep re-opening up the game & sometimes that loses progress already made in certain things. It’s been doing this now almost 2 weeks straight, thought it would be fixed by now, but it’s not. That’s why I’m writing the review in hopes they will look into it & fix it! I will keep playing in the meantime, because I really like the game. Would give 5 stars once this glitch is fixed.

Angers me. You can’t play by yourself so even if you know a word you can’t put the letters because they give you whatever letters they want and if in those letters you don’t have the one you need you have to watch the computer win because the computer did have the letter to complete the word. This is absurd. This isn’t the real thing. Crosswords are to make them yourself not with someone else.

Not fair game. I like this game, but I’ll put most of the letters for a word and the “opponent” will put down one or two for that word after or before and get all the points. I kind of have to gamble and save my letters and let the “opponent” play till the end so I can finish the word.

Fun crossword with an “opponent”. Livens the game to play with a silent opponent while you play simple clues that help reinforce vocabulary and of course spelling. Good for memory reinforcement if word finding skills are slipping - I’m in my 7th decade and am always working on this with games. Nice!

I am obsessed. I am just obsessed with playing this game! And I don’t think there are any ads which is amazing as I haven’t had to pay to remove them.

Love this game. I absolutely love this game! But if there was anything I would change it would be the picture size. I am a senior citizen with bad eyesight, and I sometimes can’t tell what the picture represents. Other than that, highly recommend this game!!

Needs work. I like the puzzle and I’m a little bit addicted to it but sometimes the crosswords are stupid. Puzzle 59 is a mess. The letter M was a clue, but the word was mass so the M should not have been in the word. Also, audit is in no way shape or form synonymous with revision and finally there’s no way to enlarge the pictures and they’re tiny. But I still play it every day so what do I know?

Review. Very fun. Sometimes, I can’t tell what the small pictures are. Very fun and addictive. Few ads. Recommended. I never write reviews, but felt this deserves one. Fun and it is challenging.

Too tiny. Cannot enlarge puzzle with two fingers. Why can’t you make this puzzle bigger? It’s such a fun game but I have to use a magnifying game to play. Please find a way to enlarge. Thanks!

Too many ads. Obviously they want you to purchase the no ad version. If there were ads after each puzzle I would keep playing but there are ads every few minutes before during and after each puzzle. It’s a fun game but I can’t afford to spend money to not have ads.

Awesome! ⭐️. I like this game. It’s fun for left-brained people and people who are into words too! I’m more of a left brain guy. I like puzzles and stuff. But yeah, this is a very cool game! 10/10! Or, I guess I should say 5/5 lol. Have a great rest of your day/night! ⭐️⭐️

Riddled With Scams. This game is just filled with potential security threats. TWICE now, a sketchy scammer virus-filled website has been launched in my Safari app while playing this game. I was not touching the screen either time, and it took me over to Safari and opened up a website that says “Prize pending…” with a countdown and a VERY questionable web address. I just deleted this app due to security concerns. How terrible. Also, the amount of ads in this game is literally insane.

Cool game but weird scoring. Fun game! Like other comments I wish you could play alone! especially since you get limited letters and if you know majority of the words and the opponent only fills in one letter of the word but wins points for whole word isn’t really fair.

Don’t usually pay. I have to really like a game before I’ll pay for it. Almost always a challenge. Now one of my “go to” games.

Fun but ….. Images are to small making it difficult to read, and the endless ads after every play is annoying. What would be nice is earning clues, and a running score.

Ads. There are so many ads it’s ridiculous. You win and they give you an ad you lose and you get an ad. you shouldn’t have to pay for so many interruptions. other games that you don’t pay for don’t have as many ads as this game, but it’s all about the money.

Don’t bother. Picture clues are very hard to tell what they even are. Other clues are not grammatically correct to the right answer of the clue. The fill in the letter words part is pretty crazy. Plus almost every game l have played the game bot gets most of the best letters and I get all the ones in places that I have not figured out the clues too. Yet l still have beat the game 75% of the time because it rarely plays more than two tiles at a time.

I Tried To Like It. I really did try, but after constantly obvious rigging since youre going against a computer and can only use the letters they assign you, they stop assigning you letters that make sense without context and always leave the computer with just the right letters to finish all the words you worked on and steal those larger amount of point. So, the computer does WAY less work, and earns WAY more points. Computer also hardly puts any useful, contextual letters on the board using about 1 letter per turn until they suddenly have 3 perfect letters that finish 3 words you just finally got almost completed. TL;DR not worth it, only about 2 challenges were fun and then they think you're literally a crossword god and take all the fun away from it by overpowering your CPU opponents. If they ever change that and make it normal/decent, let me know. I did enjoy the game before the strange spike in difficulty.

Love it. paid for it (to remove ads) on the first day! Enjoy it every day 😀 One feature I wish to have is sketch mode, which gives me ability to fill in spaces with letters I already figured out, so I don’t need to go through every time. Here is how it works: since I removed ad, there’s a blank space at the bottom. Add a toggle button there to enter sketch mode. When in sketch mode, I can fill in and edit those empty cells with any letter. When I exit sketch mode, those letters will appear light gray so I can check them quickly. This makes the game faster for me.

Surprising. This game is surprisingly strategic for a crossword based game. For all those reviewers who feel the game isn’t fair or gives the “good” letters to the computer opponent, try thinking more strategically about which tiles you play and when. Usually it’s best not to play all the tiles you can but instead think about withholding certain tiles that would create an easy set-up for your opponent to score. Save them for the end and then clean up. This game is really fun.

Love! Add some fun things!. Absolutely love this game, you hit it out of the park with another one, Easybrain. But you’re missing some of your key aspects in this one! You should add daily puzzles, stats, and maybe some customization things. Just a thought :)

Fun but Rigged. So far I’ve played quite a few rounds and i notice that the game doesn’t give you the necessary letters to complete the words that give you the most points, if not it gives them to the bot, and the bot ends up getting the win. It kind of annoying so i wish you could play against real people instead.

Highly recommend. I really like this game. I can go at my own pace and pick up where I left off if I need to put it down. One suggestion is the capability to zoom in or tap on the pictures/words to see them more clearly. Sometimes it’s difficult to see what they are.

Enjoyable! Little boo-boo…. Hi, enjoying this, but there’s a little boo-boo that’s driving me crazy. Every time the world is “pan” you actually use a picture of a pot for the clue. A pan is flatter and has a long handle. FYI.

Favorite. This is my new favorite game! It never gets boring. The only downside is breakthrough ads. I like it much better when ads are between games and not during game play.

Good game but . . .. I love this game! BUT I agree with other reviews that it would be nice to have some way to track your progress; also some of the picture clues are too small to tell what they are so adding a zoom feature would be helpful.

No waiting on other players to take their turn. Really like this game. I have to get my “granny glasses” to make out some of the pics though. 5❤️’s. Happy Gaming peeps!

Too many ads. I honestly love playing this game but the ads have become incessant. They're before and after almost every move and half of them take you out of the app itself to either safari or the App Store. The intuit credit karma ad is especially prone to doing that. There are also ads that don't stay silent even with no sound turned on in the app and your phone on silent. It starts off slow with fewer ads when you first download the app, and then it builds up and is almost every move.

Pictures too small. Pictures need to be better. I have to take a screenshot and pinch up to see the picture too small

Love Love Love. This game is awesome. It is addictive. I would like to see a listing of my scores and how I’m doing overall. My brain is really getting a workout on this game. I would also like to see maybe not so many fill ins. I realize that’s to give hints and keep up interest but sometimes they are just too much. Maybe only send 2 or 3 letters full in. This is a great game but there’s always room for improvement. Did I mention that I Love this game.

Fun but needs improvement. I really like this game it is fun and makes me think. I play it over and over. With that being said I wish there was a way to keep track of my won/loss. I also wish I could play someone of my choosing.

Luck, not skill. Not only are the clues not reliable or clear, it’s all based on what letters you get and when you get them rather than actually knowing the answer. Especially given the person who finishes the word gets all the points, you can put down 9 of 10 letters and the opponent gets all the points. More frustrating than satisfying.

Great concept, needs solo play. Love this game, having tons of fun playing. But I can solve the puzzle entirely by myself. I wish I could play it like a regular crossword. I beat the computer almost every time so it just feels like someone else is giving me unnecessary hints. I’d prefer to have all the letters and put them in myself. Or to just use a keyboard to put in. I love this idea though, the drawn clues are especially fun.

Fun Word Game. I really enjoy this type of crossword puzzle! I play it all the time! It’s happily addictive. 😃 I think it could be improved by adding a way to keep track of scores so you can try to beat your own records. Also, it does need a way to program the puzzle to adjust the level. In addition, it would be helpful if you could zoom in to see some of the picture clues more clearly. Cool Game. Really enjoying however wish the playing board was larger. Sometimes I have a heard time reading the clues and trying to decipher the images.

Update on stats?. We play everyday and would suggest an update with stats as everyone suggest and would it be possible to play against others and not a robot? Please consider as I know others want more. Also yes pics are too small. Thanks but please update soon…

Could have potential. This game could have potential. Its game play is decent and can be addicting. The issues I have are that there is no stats for wins/losses, high scores, you don’t win anything if you win (hints, coins etc). Should have a daily puzzle or something that makes you want to come back to it. I’ve had a similar game where you played real people and you won coins for boosters like hints or extra letters. I will give it some time to see if it gets better but playing for nothing gets boring.

Mid-game Ad is annoying!. I enjoy this game a lot, but I find the sudden and long ad in the middle of the game extremely annoying. Then there's another long ad at the end of the game and I'm not sure if I like the game enough to sit through both every time I play. One ad is more than enough. Please consider dropping the mid game ad so we can enjoy the game more.

So much potential. This game is great but no prizes? Like are the prizes just more and more ADs and for what? I get yall have to pay bills somehow but it’s ridiculous. No tournaments, no fun challenges for rewards other than a simple daily challenge, and then you only play against a computer? I love the idea of this game but it just seems lacking- respectfully.

Curiosity got me. I was curious after reading the mixed reviews to see how I would do. The game starts off giving fair amounts of letters to both players. Over the course of two days I noticed how the letters became skewed and I got less and less of the needed ones to complete the words. The first couple times I took note and shook it off. After the fifth or sixth time I decided I was done. It was good until it wasn't, you know? Thanks but no thanks.

I like the game, but. Why don’t games give you something when you win. I go two hints to start and there is no way I see to get anymore other that watching ads. Why not when I beat an opponent? Would that cost anything? No.

Amazing Game. Very entertaining and I was able to play the first game with no ads, let’s see who it goes after this.

Fun…. But….. I really enjoy this game, but sometimes the clues don’t match up to the answers. For example the puzzle I just completed had 2 blaring mistakes. 1) hint was “before Christ” answer in the puzzle was “ac” - so the clue should have been “after Christ” and the 2nd one is one I see often. They have a picture of a moose, and the clue is the picture +k. The answer has 3 letters so they’re looking for elk. Would be better if there was an elk picture. Aside from things like this, it’s a fun game to play

Enjoyable. I play this several times a day. It takes a few games to get the flow. A lot of words used are not typically used in my dialect, but I get there. I would appreciate it the screen stayed open a bit longer at the end so I could review the ones that I could not figure out. It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes I have no clue. I would also be fun to play others and keep a running total of our wins, losses, scores, etc.

It was fun until. Until the ads started popping up in the middle of game play. I can understand a few here and there but not when they interrupt you in the middle of a game. That’s why I gave it three stars and I have deleted the game

Shouldn’t be surprised. Read a lot of reviews. No griping about ads. Downloaded the app. Tried it and very impressed! Agreed with all the reviews about the small print and pictures tho. Then day 2 or 3 after downloading and playing the puzzles, the ads came. TWICE in one puzzle?!?! Seriously? If you can’t let people finish a puzzle without interference from your greediness then you’re app is gone! Deleted!

Good Brain Teaser Game. It’s a simple little fun game. Only complaint is that some characters are too small to see sometimes. I just hope they can be magnified by holding my finger on top of it or I can zoom in using two fingers or something.

It’s good but. I’ve been playing this game night for a while now, I paid to remove the adds and etc. The problem with this game is that the tips start to become repetitive, some are too obvious: “the letter before N”, as an exemple. They should put more effort into it. Would that be possible to add a night mode also? (for the people who like the darker screen. Thank you for your time and everything.

👎🏾. i like the game but it’s unfair. Even if you swap to try to get the letters you need they’ll keep giving you the same letters after the ads. then the ai will solve the words and get the points. you win nothing in this game. you can play for hours and complete levels and still have to watch ads for every single ad & swap. doesn’t make sense

My kind of game, but:. Very much enjoy playing this game, but it could be a lot fun if: you were able to keep score, be able to level up and earn rewards, solo play, and PLEASE be able to zoom in on the pictures to better see them. Kerry. Love the challenge of the clues

Three ads within each game ANNOYING. Great game except for two things. First - the ads, it starts out with few ads and only between games. Only after they have asked you to rate the game do they start putting ads in the game - really annoying and disruptive. Secondly, a bias to USA content which is mostly okay but sometimes not!

Good game needs some features to be great. Like this game but there is no way to sync progress between iPhone and iPad meaning you cant use both. Some of the visual clues are very small would be good if you could zoom them. No overall games progress or selectable difficulty level?

Please Add. Great game! Please add the ability to play friends/online players. It would also be great if the offline opponent got increasingly more difficult as you win more games. I really enjoy this game though

Yet another game not like its ads - deleting. Ads show (and even allow you to in the demo) completing a crossword like normal but once downloaded you can’t just answer the clue and complete the crossword You have to compete against a fake opponent and wait to get the right letters

So many adverts. Fun game but so many adverts and they are so long. I know the developers need to make money, but have mercy on your players. Ads during turns in the game, adverts to allow you to swap letters, adverts to get a hint, adverts at the end of a games - adverts adverts adverts adverts - yaaargh! I can’t take it any more so I’ve deleted the game.

Not a good game. Too many ads. Some ads are Chinese. Not sure what to press to close the ad. Most of the letters are added by me. But I lose because the system enters the single letter and forms the word without giving me opportunity!!

Too many ads and unequal competition. This game pits you against AI, challenging you to outthink and outmaneuver it as it adapts to your every move. The gameplay is intense, making each match feel like a mental workout. However, the experience is marred by an excessive number of ads. Every time you reset, start a new game, or even switch menus, there’s an ad waiting, interrupting the flow and making it hard to stay immersed. It’s frustrating to constantly break concentration for yet another ad, taking away from an otherwise engaging experience.

Great game. I love this game. Only thing is that you can’t zoom in when playing it on your phone.

Confusing. Not sure if it’s just me but it’s really confusing. If you are able to understand it it’s probably a really good game but I can’t. The game seems good though

Love it. Wow, very addictive game. Definitely a step up from normal cross words. Some clues are very tricky but if you’re up for a brain twister this is it! Like other comments have mentioned, being able to play solo would be awesome, as well as a zoom into pics. But highly recommend game :)

Love. Love this game. Only downside is that graphics are too small to be able to know what they are and it would be great if when you tap on them they would enlarge. Otherwise I would give it a five star.

Wren. Very challenging yet not so difficult that it is impossible to solve. Very few ads. Lots of clues. This isone of my favourite games.

the hints are bizarre. so many of the hints are just the first letter of the hint word or part of a word. it’s ___otic.

Daily Challenge Missing???. I love this game, because I have the daily challenge section and daily challenge with Awards. My partner and parents have the same Version of the App but for some odd reason no daily challenge so much less fun :((

Almost a fun game. Love the game. It is relaxing and challenging at the same time! Only thing that keeps it from scoring 5/5….TOO MANY ADS! I may have to let this great game go 😠because of the frequency of adds.

Ads Galore. Would be fun but WAY too many ads. You can’t even get through a level without being interrupted multiple times by ads and there’s one after every game. Deleted due to this. 10/10 do not recommend unless you want to spend $7+ to remove ads or you don’t mind watching them every 3 minutes.

Can barely read the clues — such small text. Can’t read some Clues or make out images because it’s so small. Visually not a great game

Scoring flawed. I’ve noticed in the last few games the “opponent” score is inflated. Before their play points are added. Also where something should be 2 points it’s adding an additional. Love this game- please fix this issue.

No means no. How many times do I have to say NO to your ads for you to understand that the first NO was the real one, the only one necessary!! Not only do I find it agressive but I highly do not recommend your game to my friends on the basis that a respectful society should understand that NO means NO the very first time. It’s a total turn off!

Sync. Would like to sync with iPad and iPhone, when will this be available

Good buuuuuuuttttt...... This game is entertaining, but there is a lot of delays/glitches and there are way to many ads, during the game right after the end of a game and right before the next one. 👎

Bellanai. Awesome game! Love playing this and you learn new words as you go. I wish it would give you your own profile to keep track of your points along other players .

Way too many ads. Fun game but way way way too many ads. Your game is interrupted at least 2-3 times with an ad (though they end quickly...). This is very obviously a cash grab for the devs, and it's not worth the $7 to go ad free. Save your money and go to another game that's more consumer friendly. Devs- if you're going to load your game with ads, at least make them worthwhile. Give me a hint per ad or something to that effect.

Great Brain Exercise!!. The word hints can be tricky at times which makes the game a great challenge. Sometimes the pictures can be confusing which, for the most part, makes sense once the adjacent hints are solved.

Best game I have ever played. This will make your brain think in a different way. I am learning how to see things differently. It is worth every dollar. I play it everyday!

Love this game, but…. I really love this game, however, the antivirus on my phone kept throwing warnings with some of the ads. I finally deleted it, because it was happening so often.

Wish to play with friends. I love this game, but I would love it even more if I could play it with friends. Perhaps that is a feature I have just looked over or cannot find.

Needs Zoom Feature. I like this game, but it’s sometimes difficult to read the clues and especially see the picture clues. I would enjoy the game much more if it was possible to zoom in. I also agree with other commenters that a solo mode would be nice.

Think Again. This word puzzle really makes you think. It will increase your vocabulary and how you use the words. It’s fun.

Settings. This game is fun and easy to play with LITTLE ads, BUT even with my brightness all the way down, the white background hurts my eyes greatly. As of that, PLEASE make a dark mode so my eyes don't start bleeding.

Fun crossword with an “opponent”. Livens the game to play with a silent opponent while you play simple clues that help reinforce vocabulary and of course spelling. Good for memory reinforcement if word finding skills are slipping - I’m in my 7th decade and am always working on this with games. Nice!

Great game… but!. Super dope in concept and execution, very fun! I just don’t understand why I can’t invite and play against friends. That would make the game PERFECT, cause the concept and everything is is in place!

Good Brain Teaser Game. It’s a simple little fun game. Only complaint is that some characters are too small to see sometimes. I just hope they can be magnified by holding my finger on top of it or I can zoom in using two fingers or something.

Relaxing and enjoyable.. I love this game with the exception of excessive ads! An ad plays after each turn. The only other drawback as I see it is the game seems to give it self the advantage when doling out letters. Otherwise it’s a very enjoyable game.

No waiting on other players to take their turn. Really like this game. I have to get my “granny glasses” to make out some of the pics though. 5❤️’s. Happy Gaming peeps!

Enjoyable! Little boo-boo…. Hi, enjoying this, but there’s a little boo-boo that’s driving me crazy. Every time the world is “pan” you actually use a picture of a pot for the clue. A pan is flatter and has a long handle. FYI.

Too many ads. Obviously they want you to purchase the no ad version. If there were ads after each puzzle I would keep playing but there are ads every few minutes before during and after each puzzle. It’s a fun game but I can’t afford to spend money to not have ads.

Fun game…BUT. It would be extremely helpful to be able to click on a picture to see what it actually is. Most times I’m literally guessing at what it might be bc it’s so small!

Not enough tiles. The game would be better if you had 7 tiles to pick from instead of 5 tiles. You am see what word to spell but they never appear for you to use. The game holds them to play for you which takes the fun out of it.

Awesome! ⭐️. I like this game. It’s fun for left-brained people and people who are into words too! I’m more of a left brain guy. I like puzzles and stuff. But yeah, this is a very cool game! 10/10! Or, I guess I should say 5/5 lol. Have a great rest of your day/night! ⭐️⭐️

Shouldn’t be surprised. Read a lot of reviews. No griping about ads. Downloaded the app. Tried it and very impressed! Agreed with all the reviews about the small print and pictures tho. Then day 2 or 3 after downloading and playing the puzzles, the ads came. TWICE in one puzzle?!?! Seriously? If you can’t let people finish a puzzle without interference from your greediness then you’re app is gone! Deleted!

Not fair game. I like this game, but I’ll put most of the letters for a word and the “opponent” will put down one or two for that word after or before and get all the points. I kind of have to gamble and save my letters and let the “opponent” play till the end so I can finish the word.

It was fun until. Until the ads started popping up in the middle of game play. I can understand a few here and there but not when they interrupt you in the middle of a game. That’s why I gave it three stars and I have deleted the game

Favorite. This is my new favorite game! It never gets boring. The only downside is breakthrough ads. I like it much better when ads are between games and not during game play.

Way too many ads. I really do enjoy this game. However, the creator/creators intentionally created the game in a way which allows the user to enjoy the game until the 3rd game. At this point, there are many ads engulfed into the platform, in which ruins the purpose of a entertaining, and brain engaging experience. I don’t recommend this game sadly.

Don’t usually pay. I have to really like a game before I’ll pay for it. Almost always a challenge. Now one of my “go to” games.

Ads. There are so many ads it’s ridiculous. You win and they give you an ad you lose and you get an ad. you shouldn’t have to pay for so many interruptions. other games that you don’t pay for don’t have as many ads as this game, but it’s all about the money.

So much potential. This game is great but no prizes? Like are the prizes just more and more ADs and for what? I get yall have to pay bills somehow but it’s ridiculous. No tournaments, no fun challenges for rewards other than a simple daily challenge, and then you only play against a computer? I love the idea of this game but it just seems lacking- respectfully.

Low ads. I like this one so much better than the other one like it, way less ads

Not as fun as it could be. Couldn’t handle all the ads. It’s one thing to have them after every level.. but to put forced ads during the game is just down right wrong.!! Maybe add a single player as well, the opponent isn’t really the bad thing. But not being able to complete words because it’s set up like scrabble is stupid and unfulfilling!!

Pictures too small. Pictures need to be better. I have to take a screenshot and pinch up to see the picture too small

Cool Game. Really enjoying however wish the playing board was larger. Sometimes I have a heard time reading the clues and trying to decipher the images.

Fun Game, But…. This is a very fun game, in fact addictive. The only issue is after each turn it goes to an ad. I know I can pay to have the game ad free but not worth the $10. I would give more stars if the ads were lessened, maybe after to game instead of each turn.

Fun game riddled with ads. I started playing this game and found it very enjoyable. In no time, I got buried in advertisements. They wanted me to review the game before they opened the floodgate of ads. Seems to so be designed to make it unbearable without opening up your wallet. Not sure if I am ready to pay just yet.

Amazing Game. Very entertaining and I was able to play the first game with no ads, let’s see who it goes after this.

Zooming in. Love the game but can you make it to where you can zoom in for us 40+ plus players. It’s hard to see some of the clues

Good challenge. Love playing this game! Just wish there was a dark screen mode for when I play at night.

I love this game but. I wish you could enlarge the screen. It is so small even with my glasses I have a hard time seeing the clues

Cool game but weird scoring. Fun game! Like other comments I wish you could play alone! especially since you get limited letters and if you know majority of the words and the opponent only fills in one letter of the word but wins points for whole word isn’t really fair.

It’s okay. Not allowing me to use the “try again” option. Feels like some levels are rigged. It doesn’t give you the letters you need and allows the computer to finish your words.

Gerskirock. I like the game but it’s more than obvious that it’s rigged. Dnt understand why it cant be designed to play alone. It’s crosswords not scrabble. Any letter that you dnt put down the computer immediately knoews what you dnt know. I dnt like that at all. Dnt really like playing games against the computer bcz it’s to no avail
