Great when driving. I've been using Pearls for a few months now, and it's been a game changer for my daily commute. ❤️❤️❤️Love that I can listen to the summaries in the car. It’s like having a mobile library! This app saves me so much time and keeps me entertained when stuck in traffic lol The summaries are short yet informative, so i get all the details and save time to boot. This app is definitely worth a try if you want to save time🥰

Love AUDIOBOOKS. Not everyone has always been able to read to themselves and understand.. I’ve totally struggle my entire life. The last 15 yrs maybe the audio started kinda of peeping to the surface.. I’m very appreciative but I totallly hate havin to pay for everything here online and then most take the titles away if u cancel and even paid ur monthly dues. I I think I would maybe be OK with the monthly fees as long as I got to kept keep the titles which I was under the impression that I did and I passed experience I was not able to so yeah, once again I don’t agree with that, but other than that, I do love audiobooks there a lifesaver 💕💕💕💕

Wonderful. Short easy special interesting enjoyable

easy learning. I'm not the best reader—I get distracted within minutes and forget the story. But the audio feature has changed everything for me. Now I can listen to books while doing chores, which is super convenient. The app's ability to switch between reading and listening is great, and the variety of books keeps it interesting. I also love that it tracks your progress! Maybe it’s not the most important thing, but to me it’s really motivating and it helped me make reading a daily habit. I highly recommend it to other students like me:)

Customer Service is sub par.. I have reached out to cancel and have been ignored. This is absolutely not what I thought it was. I do not want this type of “education” reading… these are definitely not cliff note versions of books. Please tell me how to cancel!

Where Has This Been My Whole Life?. Wow! Pearls was absolutely worth loading. I have been watching SO many ads playing a newer word game that I have been "enjoying." I don't mind watching some advertisement because I understand app economics. That said, I have found myself bailing out of many videos because so many new apps are absurd at this point in history (my opinion). The "Win Real Cash" had all but killed my faith in anything decent popping up. From what I can see so far, Pearls is different. Great job developers! I did not have to give my life away or commit to anything immediately after loading. That is usually the case. Nope! I have been perusing and I believe this will be a fantastic new find! It looks like it will be great for those who want to read but struggle reading an entire book. I really like the concept of providing a shorter read without losing the full affect of having read the entire book. I, myself, am an avid reader. However, I like the idea/option of being able to check out book that I am interested in but not fully invested in. Pearls seems to combine both worlds. It opens things up for everyone in a fresh new way. I really dig the claim that I will be able to go from reading to audible without losing my place (and hopefully not having to go into another app for audible!) So here you go... this is the longest review that I have ever written for an app that I have not completely "pulled the pin" on yet. I am also pleased to be part of, what seems to be, the first 55 people (or so) to leave reviews. I WILL update once I make my purchase. Felt compelled to do this review on the front end to entice interested parties to check it out like I did.

Fantastic Find. I’ve recently added a little more to my daily schedule. Add being a husband & father of 2 means less me time. Being able to listen to books that I have a hard time finishing, while driving or doing work around the house. Has been great for me.

Focus. I’m an 85 year old woman with ADHD. I am retired from a job at a hospital ER. I was the Administrative Assistant to 11 ER physicians. I’m trying to strengthen my focus on every day life. I don’t have a business or a job. I would have liked more help with keeping focused

Amazing app. I don’t have enough time to read all the books I wanted. This app helped me not to waste time and get key ideas fast.

Good idea. The app is a great idea but the books are all self help. I was hoping for a wider selection

Enlightening Pearls. I enjoy receiving an enlightening Pearle each day. It’s it’s always food for thought or interesting conversation topics.

Defective app. Several complaints but the biggest complaint is that the app doesn’t play through. It stops and skips which completely defeats the purpose of the the app. I’m also suspecting that it’s read via AI since the pronounciation of certain words seem off and the voice is… too mechanical. I’ve tried other summary apps and all have been better than this one by a mile. Shortform is my favorite and if I plan on getting on a paid summary app, that would be my top choice.

Haven’t used yet. Why would this app force the review before I could even move on and use it one time. Ridiculous!

Great reading. There are lots of ways to learn how to live a better life with full of happiness and joy, and this app just gave to me the ability to read and listening, it’s incredible how the internet technology is changing our daily routine to become better humans and move forward to a wealth future. I am glad to alive and understand that the best future is today. Tomorrow belongs only to GOD.

Nice. I like getting the main ideas in books before I commit to reading the whole thing

Not working. I paid for the year. My app is blank. I have no books, I have no choices and I can’t make choices. I wrote the support and I have not had a response. It worked for two books. I was on the third and as they say….crickets because I have access to nothing. HELP!!! I have sent more than one request for this app to be fixed. I have sent images of what I see…which is nothing. I should be given my funds back if I cannot use the app. Especially since I paid a year. Please fix or refund.

Great summaries. This is an excellent way to get the basic information contained in a book. I just wish I was not constantly asked to rate this app.

Think and Grow Rich. I’m glad I have the opportunity to read the summary of this book. It is a great book, and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I do. It makes me want to pickup all the pieces I left behind and undone for many years.

on the road. My new favorite app for “reading” and driving. I travel a lot for work, and having access to book summaries on my phone is incredibly convenient. The summaries cover the key points perfectly. It's a great way to catch up on books I've been wanting to read but never had the time for. Now I can get through several books a week without feeling overwhelmed. This app is truly amazing for my reading habit!

Too many forced actions. Not what I expected

ZEN TEACHER SAVED TOLLE BRIDGE: STILL NOW. I have had the tremendous privilege to teach Zen to some supremely gifted souls that disappeared by me seeing them and who listened to me be quiet for them. In exchange I dedicated all of my “all in-ness” all the time, all in, and in aware nest with my chilled self silent still painting landscapes and dialogue of inner self-talk, seems we heard Deja vu before now. Again, what was that? Zoom! It goes by so fast! Was that hard?

Ads galore.. Before you can even read one.. you are blasted with ads.

Fun to listen and learn. I got into the audio summaries during a particularly long road trip. It was great! I mean music can be fun too, but it gets tiring after a few hours, so you can mix it up with some learning (just connect your phone to the car and you're good to go!) I also liked the recommendations based on my interests, so it was a fun drive and a form of multitasking. I imagine being stuck in traffic will also make it bearable:)

I am poor. This app requires you to create an account or subscribe monthly just to be able to access their content so if you’re poor like me I would suggest that you just go back to finding a free reading/learning app but that’s just me personally

Misleading. The advertisements are designed to make you think you will be able to have access to all these book summaries for free but once the app is downloaded you see how you can only access the summaries of you pay.

Really like it. This is my new reading app. I can listen to book summaries while driving, which makes my commute waaaay more fun. It's like having a mini-library in my car! The app is super easy to use, and the summaries are pretty short, beats reading the entire thing i think. Some books take forever to get to the point and a summary will do it better. Now I get all the information from any of the books I've 'read' lol Highly recommend it if you want to feel smarter without the effort!

Excellent work. Great app, with very nice selection of audio summaries. Must have for the person who loves the pursuit of curiosity and learning.

Would recommend!. Great app - actually helped me set up a reading routine, so now I definitely read more than before and dig deeper in the topics, that I enjoy. It saves a lot of time as well since it gives you the gist of the book and most of the time it’s more than enough to get the idea.

Scam!! Avoid this app!. It says you don’t have to provide billing info during trial. I had decided during trial I did not want to purchase a subscription. I did not think I would be billed because I never gave a payment type or number. This is sneaky! It bills through iTunes, which I also don’t use - BUT Itunes bills my phone storage so that is how Pearls found a way to access my bank account. Tried cancelling through link and it just says it is “not eligible for refund.” I cancelled within an hour or so the pending charge hit my bank. I guess it doesn’t know California law that gives three days to cancel a contract. Reported to bank as fraud.

Can’t even get past the first stage. The first stage is to list your preferences, then it takes you to a page where it tells you a price you need to pay to continue. Why advertise such an app if I can’t even see or trial what I’m getting myself into, it’s always straight to money.

Whoever came up with this idea is brilliant!. I’m finally getting the info from books I have been wanting to read for 20 years!! And I don’t even need to read them, just listen to a summary of them while I’m doing other things.

A great pause in my day.. Being someone who doesn’t pick up a book everyday, pearls gives me a great chance to find a new viewpoint or aspect of myself to explore improving on.

No Support For Paid Subscription. I paid for a Lifetime Subscription which ran out after the 3 day trail period. (short lifetime 🤔) I contacted Pearls and got a quick robo-response that had nothing to do with why I contacted them. A follow-up support email yielded no response. 😕 Now waiting on a response on the third email. I liked the app and the content, but unfortunately the support is severely lacking with little recourse for paid subscription issues. 👎
