Plant Guru review. I just purchased this app and am extremely disappointed in it. It identified a bush for me and told me it was perfectly healthy although the photo I took for it showed the leaf discolored and curled. The reason I purchased the app was to identify the problem.

Not worth the cost. It identifies my baby rubber tree as a boya and says it’s healthy when it clearly is not. My Swiss cheese plant has a yellow leaf and it says it perfectly healthy. It identifies my anthurium as a Swiss cheese plant. I have several more plants and just gave up because it is clearly not identifying the plants issues nor the correct plants. I requested a refund but who knows if I will get one. App is total rip off.

This was a bad app for me. It could not identify the plants and it really wasn’t telling me how to take care of them water thing. Everybody has water plants, and not being able to identify the plants. You could tell me how to take care of them. It was called one thing another thing it’s a terrible app. I’d like to get my money back.

Needs improvement. Not always correct about plant id.

It’s worth the price….. The program is easy to maneuver and the recommendations are a breeze to follow, making me mistakely appear to have a Green Thumb.

Useless App. I tried the app one time, it’s 110 degrees out and I needed to know if the newly planted trees needed longer watering time or numerous time each day. The app tells the my plant is too close to other plants and to pull off all the browned leaves and to move the diseased tree away from any others! SO WRONG!!! What I found out from a real person was to water once per day but longer time to get a deeper watering.

Ad is totally misleading. You think each plant is gonna get some secret spice to add to the water. Like they show. Instead- all you get is overwatered or underwatered. Total waste of $40.

Anton. I have so many plants that i often forget about when it’s time to water, rotate, or fertilize them… I used to write these things down in my notebook, but this is just too overwhelming and didn’t help me at all. I thought i was the worst plant mom until this app came into my life. This is perfect for busy people like me because it reminds you about watering, misting, rotating, etc with a notification! Love it.

Love it!. Even the free version of plant guru is perfect!

Not good. It doesn’t scan your picture and give you advice as it shows in ad

Hidden Fees. If you subscribe to this app, please know upfront that there is a charge for it. There is no mention of this charge until after you have subscribed. Very deceptive business practice!!!

No very accurate. I took several pictures of my struggling tomato plants. Several of them are suffering from type of leaf curl disease. This app said they were perfectly healthy. Ummm…the stunted, shriveled and curling leaves and stalks say otherwise. I hoping this app would help me diagnosis and treat the plants.

Charged Me. I was charged for this app that I do not have on my phone. I unsubscribed in an hour after I saw it. Still not unsubscribed and keeps charging me.

Great for gardeners. I tried a lot of apps and Plant Guru is my definite fav. All apps I tried identify plants quite good but this one has many additional features that make my life easier. I have a big garden and my main purpose was to find an app to identify weeds and learn how to eliminate them, but Plant Guru has much more than that. It allows me to track my expenses on plants, fertilizers, and pesticides. It’s really useful,especially in spring when I need to buy a lot of things to prepare for the active growing season. Very useful, as I can now estimate my fall spendings so it won’t be so frustrating. I also tried the health check feature, and the result was very detailed and accurate. I already have some experience in treating plants but it was interesting to know some prevention methods. I also tried to attract beneficial insects to my garden as it’s not only helpful for plants but also good for the environment.

There’s alway more to learn. This app is like having a plant-savvy friend on speed dial. It not only helped me figure out what was wrong with my sad-looking snake plant but also gave me a crash course in proper watering. Before using this app i didn’t even know you’re supposed to turn some plants so that they get enough sun, lol :D

Not as advertised. The advertisement gives the impression it can tell you exactly what to do to heal a hurting plant. It does not do that. It gives you a list of things that COULD be wrong. It could be too much water or not enough water or the wrong water or too much at once. Thank you but DUH!!

Horrible app nothing works. The app is doesn’t work like it says it does i wish i could get my 50$ back

Awful plant app. I paid the yearly fee to try this app. This app is awful. It did not have my drift roses (or knockout roses) and I did enter it by their scientific name. These are very common in SE US. I also took a picture 10 times of my roses with a white powdery residue - it kept saying that no plant was present. After spending an hour with this app, I googled white powdery residue on roses to find out it was a fungus and it told how to take care of it in seconds - not an hour with no results. As to how much to water and how to care for a plant, that is easy to google as well. It is not worth $35 to have an app tell me how much water to give to a plant. I am very disappointed and I hope I save someone else the $35.

Not true. I have this app and it most certainly does not give you those remedies

Don’t subscribe. This app is worthless. Gives you little information for whatever reasons you may have and has no quality control or assistance if you try to contact support. For instance I tells me I over watered my plants and a few hours later it tells me I underwater. Turns out I had an iron deficiency!

New Application. I have a sick plant. Where do I find help?

Learning!!. I’m not a tech expert and 84 years old so I have made a lot of goofy mistakes. But finally getting it going and it is wonderful. In addition I have never planted flowers until now. So the information has been great. It tells me where to plant- how much H2O. It suggests if the plant is healthy - what problems it has - how to fix it- and keeps a log for each plant type.

Not accurate. Took pictures of obviously sick virus plants and it said plants were fine so I was not going to keep the app within minutes of free trial I’m billed 39+ $ can’t figure out how to get a refund on the automatically generated emails they send for response!

?. I don’t find this app very helpful. It tells me the name of the plant but it’s not telling me what I need to do with it. What the problem is.?????

Trickery. This app, much like anything else you would expect from android/Google describes an easy-going simple way to help your plants. it is not until you download the app and go through all of the motions that you find out it cost to use! Every other gardening app I’ve used was completely free unless you wanted to participate within a club deal. DO BETTER APPLE 🍎.

Read reviews. I thought this app would help figure out what to give my plants that aren’t doing well to help them recover. NOPE should’ve read the reviews. Now I’m stuck because I bought the year.

Love it. The app has really guided me with all of my plant adventures.

I have zero tolerance for apps that demand a review. I downloaded this. Within less than 3 minutes of use and trying to figure it out, it interrupts my VERY FIRST search where I am trying to diagnose the yellow leaves in my African Violet with an insistent demand for a review! Forget it. So far I have learned nothing about my violet’s problem and wasted far more time than I have been able to spend in the app writing this review. I will be deleting it promptly!

Subscription scam. I cancelled my subscription but they are STILL charging me a month later, Apple is trying to help stop it but is having a hard time and has already had to refund me one time already

App doesn't help me at all!!!!'. I was disappointed that you don't show what plant looks like with a problem and no simple resolution to the problem to correct it. I made a mistake getting this app, wanted the one with alternative methods of helping a sick plant, before and after pictures. Not using chemicals!! The app I meant to get shows all the above, used lemon, sugar water, paprika, even wine to correct problems!! Extremely disappointed in your app!! 😩

Plants. Educational

The photo ID functionality is really inaccurate. I paid for this app expecting the photo identification to be accurate and it’s really bad. It thinks every common plant here in NY is some type of Japanese weed. It repeatedly told me my eggplant is a tomato, garbage. I want a refund but don’t want the frustration of asking for it. And yes I take multiple photos and carefully frame the plant. That “Japanese wineberry plant” was poison ivy by the way.

Tricky trap to subscription!. The app is fine but on initial start up read carefully because it’s easy to think your swiping through a tutorial, and then boom! You’re paying $40 for the year.

Plant helper!. This really helps to take the best care of your plants…especially if you don’t have a green thumb!

Junk. I had it for ten minutes. I showed it a photo of an apple tree that had the end of a branch that was dying and only affecting a couple of branches out of many. It’s happening on two apple trees and no other fruit trees that get watered the same this year as last and the temperatures have been in the 60’s and 70’s. The app said not enough water or it’s to hot. When the app asked if they were correct with the diagnosis I said no. They asked me for more information and I wrote it out but app would not let me view the send button.

Great!. I just started this app and I love it already. I am not a green thumb but I really want to be. This is going to help my plants for sure. The reminders will help me for sure

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!. This app does not let you cancel your subscription and continues charging you every three days! There is no way to cancel it through the app or their website, they direct you to Apple, who does not cancel it or give you a refund. Currently appealing with apple.

Kind of crap app. Doesn’t do any kind of diagnosis at all. Useless. I tested it several times on plants whose problems I knew and it just says they need more water. Must be a standard reply. I dont know how it gets such a high review rating but I feel it is just a waste of money.

Terrible at classification. I take beautiful clear photos. This app misclassified 4 different common flowers. It was ridiculous how poorly this app functions. Very disappointing.

Cannot identify plant!. I have an orchid. I’m trying to see what’s wrong with it but this app keeps saying it’s a snake plant.

Free trial is NOT free. This app immediately charges you 7.41 when you chose free trial through apple. This is not free.

Doesn’t work - don’t waste your money. Doesn’t work at all. Took a picture and the app told me I am either: 1. Not watering the plant enough 2. Watering the plant too much 3. Watering the plan irregularly. The app could not be less helpful if they tried.
