App won’t load. Downloaded and signed in now it’s been stuck on a loading screen for 20mins. Don’t think it’s going to work. I haven’t even gotten to explore the app, scroll, anything. All I wanted to do was use the face scanner. Just bought the game. Disappointed.

Nba 2k24 face scan. I was trying to do the face scan, but it wouldn’t work. I tried at least 15 times please fix it immediately because your game is already bad like really bad so if you could please fix the face scan please and thank you have a good day😉

Face scan🤬. How come every single time on every 2K that has been made every time I try to to do my face scan it always gives me a double chin and a wide nose like I never seen anything like this this is crazy I don’t even have a double chin or nose in real life man 😡😡 we have to do better. This is knocking self-esteem as a human being. I be spending hundreds of dollars on this video game. And I can’t even get a proper face scan.

Dont waste your time. It didnt even work it kept saying scan failed and when it did work it looked nothing like me , its a whole new person and makes everything about you look different, you can tell 2k put no effort into this.

IF I COULD GIVE 0 ⭐️ I WOULD!. They’ve clearly put less and less work into these 2k companion apps. In previous 2k’s we’ve actually been made to scan our entire face .. from straight on view to a side view so they can capture depth. Apparently this year they didn’t see a reason to put DEPTH to your face on face scans so every single time you do it you can guarantee your face will be flat. Pointless.

Facescan. Mine is not working properly he keeps coming out looking like Future the rap artist

Face scan. This app is soooo bad ,disappointing and very disrespectful because how you have a successful company that gets a lot of money but can’t even fix your app. here are the reason why I’m writing this review the app is racist because why when I scan my face I was so happy to see what I would look like in the game until when it finished loading my face it came out so bad and the face looks nothing like me it literally looks like a ape I was so mad and sad. I honestly feel like the people who made 2k and this app really don’t care what other people say and there thoughts because if they did they would’ve already fix the face cam and all the other things but I hope they see this review because I’m getting tired of this.

The Face Scan feature. I guess the new model of the scan is more accurate when trying to scan your face but it always put you into the next part where it’s trying start it’s progress of scanning and the stuff just doesn’t work. This bug immediately need to get solve because I’m not trying build me a dream guy with mine MyPlayer like the rest of them users on here

Don’t get this. My joyful self thought that I could make myself in 2k with the face scan, but when signing in I forgot my password. When I clicked on the help forgot password it said “failed to sign in” which is just so crappy and I wasted my whole morning after looking forward to this

2k just does not care enough about user experience. I never write reviews but I’m taking the time out of my day to do it for this. 2k puts a laughable effort in this app. The face scan was better in the 2k20 app. It’s somehow gotten worse 4 years later. And there’s still no way to see your face scan on the app, you have to load up 2k to see how terrible it came out. Not to mention it takes 10 minutes for it to actually find your face and scan it, all for there to be a huge black mark on your face scan always. Face scan has been around since 2k15 and not only have there been no improvements in 9 years, it’s gotten progressively worse.

This app provides almost nothing. The app is called the companion app You would think it would in some way enhance the player experience but it doesn't. The app is only usable for the face scan which doesn't work perfectly. You can even check your My Player build or stat, you would think after so many years this would be a normal feature Also in years you were able to play card games and earn VC ( not a crazy amount ) but at least it gave you something to do Right now as it stands my suggestion is Download all for face scan if that's what you want. Delete the app right away cause is just occupying space

Bad. When I try to log into my Nintendo account, it took me three tries it kept, and then when I finally logged in, it logged me out of my Nintendo account on my switch then I had to log back in, and then when the face scan took forever and then it didn’t work and then I tried again and it still didn’t work so my face I mean, I didn’t scan it I just kept my old one

Worst scan in history. Worst face scan ever you would think a game that cost $70 at least has a good app this app is none of that it’s better they just delete the whole face scan app every time it does your face wrong or you have to retry again then every time is telling you to move your face back and forth, which people but 2K knows does it work how can a $70 game? Can’t even get a good app for people to scan your face. It’s very crazy.

App is buggy/broken. I’ve been trying to do a face scan for about a whole 24 hours… I downloaded the app on both my iPhone phone and Mac, the app on my phone constantly loads and hasn’t loaded yet when I try to sign into my PSN account to do the face scan, then on my Mac I actually get to sign into my PSN but then the face scan feature constantly loads and eventually I have to force quit the app… I usually don’t complain or even leave reviews at that but yeah as much as money as 2K makes yearly, they definitely should have the money and resources to fix and update the app to where it actually works properly!

Loading screen. I’m forever stuck on the loading screen. Keep my phone refreshed so it can stay active but that doesn’t matter. Just says loading for hours! Literally. Uninstalling it just to redownload it don’t work either. I just wanna scan my face one more time lol

App is suspect. I have not been able to login or reset my password…I’ve deleted the app and used several emails bc it keeps saying login failed…seems I will be unable to create a player🙄

It is a good thing. I tried 2 times and it’s kinda fun and it also looks cool and if you get mad you can take a break also you can check your stuff on 2k

Face ID works good. The Face ID is very hard but I got it and my build looks amazing🤩 it’s looks just like me the head to the toes very nice 👍😊

The WHOLE app in general…. I downloaded the app in hopes of the face scan feature, but after i log in to my Playstation account the app gets stuck in a loading screen for some reason. So i haven’t been able to experience any of this app’s features. I have deleted it and redownloaded it to see if that’s the problem (even restarted my whole phone.) but nothing has worked. DISAPPOINTED

Face scan is really bad. I tried to do the scan so many times and it said quality check and said it failed or it loaded but before I was about to see what it looks like it says There was an issue with your scan. Please start again and pay close attention to the instructions on the app. Otherwise I would rate it a five but the face scan part made it a 2 for me.

lies. The apps face scan didn’t improve at all and I mean it’s laughably the exact same. So disappointing. I think the problem is you guys stopped making the face scan to where it scans th whole side of your face. This new scan only scans your face at like 45 degrees for some reason and the scan is incredibly inaccurate and face is alway flat on your my player. 2k23 face scan was way better.

Face scan is horrible and loading screen stuck. This app is absolutely the worst. I’ve had trouble with both 2k23 and 2k24! They both have been bad with the face scan and this has been the worst.. I wish I could post a picture to show how bad they’ve done with this app. Now it’s been stuck on the loading screen for 2 days. I’ve deleted the app and updated it and it won’t go past loading. This needs to be fixed.

Is it something about my face?. This app utterly fails as a companion for the game. It’s only capability is the face scan feature, which seemed promising but ultimately did not function properly in my case. First off, while the face scan procedure seemed legit, it’s very frustrating because it will repeatedly fail. Then, when the app finally determines it successfully scanned your face (or perhaps it just gives up?), 2K24 will likely get stuck while downloading the data and the whole process must be repeated. Finally, after several more painful face scan attempts, passing the 50% stall point, 2K24 will probably issue an error saying it could find the face data. I was so excited for this feature but was let down. Such a tease. Is it because I’m Asian? Is this software racist yo? Can devs please get this thing working for 2K25? I hope face scan -> video game character becomes standard. NBA 2K has the opportunity to be the pioneers of this technology. Two stars because I appreciate the attempt.

Waste of Time 2k is Deceitful. Don’t waste your time your builds never do what you pay for and this app is useless the console game is riddled with Microtransactions and you still do t get what you pay for plus the TOS they will implement at the end of the month looks to rob you of your BC and characters you don’t own them according to 2K save your money and frustration levels

Unusable. This app is literally not usable I’ve been waiting for it to load for 2 hours after I linked my Xbox account. I’m literally just trying to get a face scan I might as well build my character on the game then use this unless app. Would not recommend this app!

Facial Scan. I’ll say this I’ve been trying to scan my face for the last 30 minutes. And I say that to say this-Last year I never had this problem,this brings life to the game on a personal level and from reading other reviews looks like the app creator for this year might have dropped the ball. It’s effected me because I loved that feature for years and now there’s an issue. I’m not here to buss anyone’s bubble or make jobs hard all I’m asking is please fix the bugs. I enjoy playing but this is one of my favorite features-please consider it. Thank you 😁

Pitiful. They’ve had facescan for so many years now and it seems to be even worse than launch. It takes at least 10 tries for it to work like they make so much money off these games the least they can do is get SOMETHING right.

Horrible app. Evertime I sign into my Xbox account on the app it just puts a loading sign up and never EVER goes away so I can’t use the face scan like the app is intended for. Then I go to the comments and see no one is having the same problem but everyone still hates the app😂🤣

Trash, face scan wont work in game. Always gets stuck at 50%, supposed AAA game on a PS5, facescan off a new $1000 iphone, and the game gets stuck building my face scan at 50%. Tried reinstalling the app, the game, re-scanning. Better lighting. Nothing works. Quality control ridiculous.

The worst scan tech. This is probably the worst scan technology I have ever seen and the most useless app. Literally no useful, functioning features besides the face scan and THAT doesn’t even work right. No matter what lighting you use. This is 2K’s signature style. No UI/UX design that focuses on us the players. Straight money grab like their games. As soon as another sports game developer makes an NBA game, I’m gone.

Broken App. This app is literally broken. It is trying to charge my card $32 to download the app. This app is free. How is it trying to charge my card for a free app. I’ve used the face scan feature a number of times and it doesn’t even work in the game. The data does not transfer over. If I could give it a 0 I would.

I would give negative. First of all, because I use Game Center to sing in on 2k mobile, I can’t use any of the features to benefit my account. It should support all stuff were you can play 2k on. I will not be using the app ever again until they support all things were you can play 2k.

Trash game / App. This app is terrible i just downloaded it for the face scan and it’s literally stuck on a loading screen. I checked Reddit and it’s happening to everyone apparently. 2k first the game is toxic now the app is toxic you get banned for quiting games & then the gameplay is so technical it makes for a poor experience.

Please add game center login. I love playing 2k24 myteam, however locked codes have disappeared, i have searched the internet for another way to redeem some codes and when i downloaded this i was shocked not to see game center. Please add game center login as im missing great opportunities to upgrade my lineups.

terrible time waster. so it took an hour to get 1 scan in. The app is more concerned with playing that stupid music than making a good app that connects. It kust gets stuck on checking quality and just stays there. Bad enough it doesn’t load into the game right away this is just terrible time waster.

Useless app. The face scan is the biggest waste of time. When you do it wrong it uploads perfectly fine, but when you do it correctly if fails the quality check EVERY SINGLE TIME. It doesn’t matter if you’re in a well lit room or outside on a nice day. It doesn’t work. This is a billion dollar company and they can’t even give us a working app. What a complete joke.

All They Care About Is Money. This app is the definition of a company that only cares about the money not the people who play the game. Is sad that they barely anything new each year in 2k we had better animations in the past. These vc prices are insane 200 + real dollars to upgrade to 90 overall 😂 not to mention the servers are trash and there’s no support system because 2k support doesn’t even help you anymore. Now we have this app why does it take 10 minutes just to look like a swamp thing from ben10. This app is 9 years old and they literally have never updated or fixed the bugs. There’s better server maintenance in gta 5 and that games like 13 years old.

Quality Check Failed. I have been trying for 40 minutes. I got it to work twice, both looked nothing like me. And have been getting Quality Check Failed. Where’s the in game player stats and stuff?!. You’d think an app you have to sign into with your game profile would have a way to check your progress in game as well as stats but it’s basically just a face scanner with a VC counter. If your not looking to scan your face into the game, I don’t think you should waste your time with this app.

We’ll. The face skin is really horrible. Even one side of my face is skin tone making other side of my face a different skin tone. Then I went into the light in the same procedure happened, making my face dragged to the bottom of my chin, which is very weird for a game that has been for many many years with a lot of time to upgrade your technology. App doesn’t even work. I downloaded the app and signed in , the screen just says loading but the music is playing. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app 10 times and it still does not work. 2k makes all this money off of players but can’t even make a reliable app . Perfect. Man i can’t speak for everybody else but my face scans have been perfect every year that the app has been out. Between my personal scans as well as the drippy scans. All have worked great and the result has been amazing. You just have to be in the proper lighting. I’d say either try in the natural sunlight or daylight or use your in home lighting in combination with a fluorescent bulb. You’ll get the best scans possible.

Mid. The app is not too bad, although I think you should be able to play your 2k account on the app but that’s ok im prolly only gonna use it for news and face scan

Kinda useless. I know the main part of this app is to do the face scan but that’s really about all you can do. I wanna be able to see my NBA characters attributes and stuff like that. A nice app but doesn’t have much uses to be honest.

Face scan option. I been on here trying to do my face scan but can’t due to the scan not being highlighted like the rest of the options. It’s annoying and false advertising.

Pitiful. They’ve had facescan for so many years now and it seems to be even worse than launch. It takes at least 10 tries for it to work like they make so much money off these games the least they can do is get SOMETHING right.

No working. the first time everything was fine, but due to the fact that something was wrong with my photo, I needed to take it again and stupidly I can’t go into the application lol

Face scan. I just got the 2k25 game and went to go try and do my face scan I go to press face scan and it tells me not to wear glasses or hats I press begin scan and I just get a white screen I think the app needs an update for it’s been 2 months with no bug fixes!!!!

Ok so the app is horrible. I have tried to sign in to my account about a million times and it still hasn’t worked. Whenever I try the screen just freezes and then the app just closes .

I keep expecting it to work every year but once again it doesn’t. Face scan tells me to move closer, then once I move closer, it tells me to move back. Vicious cycle that will never end

50% forever ???? face scan !!. I waited almost 1 and a half hours just to get a 50% that never completed? I even had to delete nba2k4 in ps5 to download it again because the game made me wait until it was completed!! Worst app ever 😩

Facescan. Every year the face scans get worse. It is almost impossible to do face scans. I have been dealing with this since launch and after several Updates, it still won’t work.

Useless. Won’t let me sing in with my PSN account in order to begin my face scan. I have had to reset my Psn password 3 times and still… even after multiple times putting the right password, it still won’t let me log in.

Terrible. I verified my email that 2k sent , and when I log in through the app here to do a simple face scan it says I don’t have a valid 2k. Even though I can log onto my PSN app perfectly fine and am currently playing 2k25 on my ps5 as I write this , joke of an app.

Trash. I was just trying to get my face into 2k so I downloaded this app and thought it will be good but I was waiting for 10 minutes on the loading screen so I never want to open than app ever again.

Horrible Facescan. This has to be the worst year for face scans… I literally did my face scan 10+ times and they all came out horrible. Had my face looking all flat and smushed… smh how did 2k19 have a better face scan than 2k24 with new technology?!

Why it’s kinda not good. The loading takes to long and it gets kind of annoying and I signed in so it shouldn’t be any problem but this app is off it fell off look at all these bad views

Face scan. All I wanted to use this was for the face scan for 2k and it doesn’t work. I would have been happy if just that worked but it doesn’t Simple tech these days and its sad the developers don’t know how to execute this feature….

App is suspect. I have not been able to login or reset my password…I’ve deleted the app and used several emails bc it keeps saying login failed…seems I will be unable to create a player🙄

Update. I don’t know if it’s just my phone rn but every time i load up the app it just gets stuck loading forever and i’ve deleted the the and reinstalled it several times

FIX THE APP. So i have been using this app for awhile it easy way to type in locker codes on the go BUT WHEN IT IS STUCK ON THE LOADING SCREEN and you cant even access the app whats the point of having this dogsh*t app

Check for scan data not doing its job. Scan my face successfully, but the in game created player is not finding my face scan. So why is that, and how to resolve this?

Won’t allow me to sign into Xbox account. I don’t know why but it won’t allow me to sign into my Xbox account to use the face scan. It’s frustrating at this point because everyone who uses this wants to scan their face to use in the game SMH please fix this

Psn doesn’t work🤷‍♂️. For some reason i can’t login to my PSN account all it does every time i try it just loads very long and never opens it please fix soon as i would like to insert a face scan for 2025

Face Scan is Broken. “Running Quality Check” never ends and when you do manage to get a scan to go through it butchers your face. It’s 2023 we have technology that can scan faces so easily. Complete waste of time

No MyCareer Stats. i got this app because i thought i would have the ability to show my stats to friends! it goes to show that you dont need an app just a webpage! i wanna see badge progress + attributes + boxscore of last game... etc

Face Scan Problems. Unfortunately while uploading, the download stayed at 50 percent and the face scan never completed. Missed opportunity : /

Face Scan still a fail. How many years have they had the Face Scan again? I might have a 5% success rate after all these years. It freezes at 50% every time I try to load it. Total garbage

FACE SCAN IS SO BAD. If you looking to use the face scan Just walk away from this app Just use The in game faces (Sadly) Because no Effort was put into the face scan Or was there even meant to be any effort used on it Idk because I can’t even use my Face smh

Face scan. The face scan option doesn’t even work I’ve tried it multiple time and still have the same issue my scan doesn’t pop up.

Trash, face scan wont work in game. Always gets stuck at 50%, supposed AAA game on a PS5, facescan off a new $1000 iphone, and the game gets stuck building my face scan at 50%. Tried reinstalling the app, the game, re-scanning. Better lighting. Nothing works. Quality control ridiculous.

Face ID works good. The Face ID is very hard but I got it and my build looks amazing🤩 it’s looks just like me the head to the toes very nice 👍😊

This app is horrible. I tried this app and it kept on saying failed to connect to platform and I had the right information on everything but it still don’t so don’t try this app I you want to get a face scan just try your best to make one yourself.

Trash. This app and face scan is so trash. You gotta try it A MILLION times just to get “a quality” scan and then it comes out looking garbage on the actual game. Bring it back to where it takes 5 photos and does the rest for you because this is complete GARBAGE

Upload Stops at 50%. The 2k franchise needs to do better. Why is the app functioning worst than it did a decade ago? I uploaded 4 face scans and it only loads to 50% and fails. You guys need to update this app and stop being cheap.

Terrible Results. The process and result of this feature is actually hilarious. Took multiple tries to work, and then got every possible feature about me wrong, including my skin color 🤣

Worst app out. Face scan doesn’t work the company only doesn’t care about the community I hope we get a change in leadership when it comes to 2k I hope ea gets the next contract
