Maui Island only Review. Overall, a great companion to the book. I had the old app in the middle of their upgrade and Maui didn’t work so they gave me this app. I loved the real time updates on waves and weather built into the app. Similar to another review, it took a me awhile to realize I had to use the filters to find specific things I was looking for as without those it feels a bit disorganized and left me wanting for the boon for easier reference. The filters helped out quite a bit. I would recommend a splash page for the app that reminds/instructs users to download the content (we had issues when there was no coverage) and use the filters.

Excellent travel guide. Definitely a great resource for anyone looking to travel to the Hawaiian islands. Like having the very latest of their travel books in your pocket.

Disabled prior app without transferring subscriptions. This replaced the prior app which is GREAT except the subscription didn’t transfer and old app no longer works. I paid 17.99 on 3/5 for the Hawaii content and cannot access in old app anymore and if I want to use new app new subscription. I love the content but boooooo for not taking care of existing customers!

Comprehensive guide. I like all the new changes. This guide book covers all the islands. Incognito reviews that are continually updated.

Made my Hawaii dreams come true!. I’ve never written a review for an app but this one made our trip so wonderful that I keep raving to everyone about it. Hawaii can be a little overwhelming when it comes to planning - choosing places to stay, eat, excursions, etc. This app, combined with the driving tour app, made everything feel so easy and accessible.

Revealed Travel Guides. Cool new app! It covers the Hawaiian Islands and even Las Vegas. I like that it gives you the flexibility of choosing either monthly or yearly subscriptions. This company also has some really fun audio apps for the islands that narrate what you're seeing and guide you as you drive along. They also include a lot of interesting historical information as well as some really funny true stories.

Amazing app!. Love it, love it, love it! We used this while visiting Kauai and it really helped us find so many cool things. That have driving tours that are amazing too, and a new Vegas section that I can’t wait to try!!!!

New Interface, Additional Features, Same Amazing Content. This new app is easier to follow, search, and I love the new features like planning your trip day-by-day. Still has the same great content and expert (first hand) reviews to make sure you have an amazing vacation! Also I got a new phone and had to transfer my subscription and their app support was incredibly friendly and responsive!

Not as helpful as expected. I purchased the Hawaii Revealed app to plan my vacation to Hawaii. The app broke just before I was to leave on the trip and the company gave me this app as a replacement. I found the information hard to follow as we were trying to navigate to places. Sometimes way too much detail was provided, making it difficult to find key information in a hurry. At other times key detail were missing or out of date. It also wasn’t organized as I would use it. Example there is information about Waimea Canyon state parks but you have to go to hikes to find info on hiking trails in the park which are listed by name and not by their location in the park. I found it frustrating.

The jury is still out….. Initially had some problems but they seem to be okay now. Will have to wait until we actually use it on the islands and see how helpful it is. We’ll probably take along our books just in case….

Holds up over time. We have been referring to Maui Revealed from paper back to present day. Every detail of our trips for a decade have been based on this site and helped us to save money, avoid common pitfalls while enjoying the most beautiful places, accommodations and restaurants we have ever seen. It got us through COVID times brilliantly as well and all the while with humour and respect for locals and tourists alike. Let’s face it, Maui is becoming more socially complicated and over priced, this site helps you make the most of your precious time there. If you want to make your trip unforgettable get this App.

Not useable offline. This appears to be the companion app to Andrew Doughty’s travel guides for Hawaii. Those books often refer to the GPS maps available in the app. But even if you pay for and download the data, when you are offline, you can’t access any map info. Which makes it worthless. To make it even worse, even the hike descriptions are not accessible when offline. Only certain commercial services remain in offline mode. Meaning basically only the ads. Buy the book, skip the app.
