Hana Revealed. What an awesome app! I had purchased one of the other Hana highway drive tours and was shocked when I got halfway around the highway and, after the seven sacred pools, the app declared that they will not continue the tour around the bottom of the island and instead insisted that I turned around and drive back that way I came. That is ridiculous. This one gives you commentary all the way around but also if you turn around, leaving the decision up to me, as it should be. The narrator is the author of Maui Revealed and the commentary is fun, informative and funny.

Best trip yet. Driving the road to Hana is one of our favorite things to do when visiting Maui. We’ve loved the Revealed guidebooks for years and decided to give this app a try on our most recent visit. What a great app! It made finding our favorite spots easier than ever, and had even more insight and stories than we expected. We’ll get the drive tour for the entire island when we visit next time.

Fantastic Companion. What a fantastic job creator did on this app. Enjoyable and witty commentary, great recommendations, history lessons. Best part is gps kicks off commentary automatically. Well worth the cost to add to your enjoyment of this amazing drive. Recommendation…start early! Oh and do pay attention, at one point my gps got a little wonky and put me in middle of the ocean. Restart app quickly resolved the issue.

Great guide!. We had a wonderful tour using this app! We found everything we wanted to do with ease including the lava tube in a tree! This was one of our favorite stops and never would have found it without this app. We were also entertained and even my 3 boys (9-14) enjoyed listening! Highly recommended!

Great content - issues with GPS operation. Started great and then app crashed on iPhone 13 Pro Max. Could get neither Hawaii revealed to open nor the drive app while on the Hana road. Finally after multiple reboots got the apps up - seemed like no cell service was the issue. We managed the balance of the drive by manually clicking the comments as our gps location dot moved with us. It was great but would have been Soooo much better had it been an automatic thing Content was an A+ App functionality was a C maybe.

So detailed. We spent 12 hours following your Hana app this week and can’t wait to come back and spend a couple more days exploring. The details were spot on and amazing! This family from Ohio NEVER would have seen that lava tunnel without this app, not to mention all the waterfalls. 100% recommend!

Great tour of Hana. If you’ve read Andrew Dougherty’s excellent Maui Revealed book you’ll recognize some of the passages that are read during the tour. That said, having the information all laid out as you drive is very helpful and Andrew adds the usual wit and colour you’ll find in his books. Like Andrew I also highly recommend doing the full loop of Haleakala, it was an incredible drive with too many sights to mention!

An amazing journey to Hana and beyond with this app!. I don’t usually review apps, but this one deserves a mention. If you are driving the road to Hana this app is worth the purchase! Our family loved listening to Andrew as he narrated the journey! It made the trip really interesting! We did a different driving tour (on CD) 20 years ago and this app was even better! Loved it! Andrew’s recommendations of where to stop are top notch and love the recommendations of when to slow down for cattle gates and when to absolutely stop and look. The app works well and is easy to use. What a great adventure and app!
