Horrible. Every time I try to connect to the app it asks me to connect to the stores wifi. I connect to the Shoprite WiFi and it says connecting on the apps home page of the app. It never connects and lets me use the scanner app. WiFi works when not using the app. But when trying to use the app it won’t connect.

Needs updating. Using app for about four years now. The most annoying thing about this app are the times when it will not connect to store wifi system, which happens quite frequently. Also, when using app, if IPhone screen locks...app disconnects from wifi and there is a lag to re-connect. Stop-and-Shop supermarkets have a much better app that has worked flawlessly for me.

Don’t waste your time downloading. Horable app. It’s not working. In a store keep asking to connect to store WiFi , first it says it’s not secure , so why I would put all my payment card information 🧐why it’s not working with my phone service??? And when you connect to store WiFi it’s not working and saying that is problems 🤦🏻‍♀️ I would give 0 stars ⭐️ if I could

Checkout is never smooth. Every single visit (>10) at checkout, system tells me there is a problem and need an attendant who then needs to perform an audit. Store personnel have no idea why. Whole purpose of using the app is to avoid delays at checkout. App would also be better with some enhancements: Ability to add a quantity rather than having to scan the same item multiple times Discount pricing is confusing: 12 pack of coke is 5.88/pack or 3/$12. Scanning 3 packs shows to entries for 5.88 and one for 0.24 which adds up to $12 but there’s no explanation it’s doing it this way vs realizing there’s 3 packs and just putting in a single $12 entry

App is fine. Stores need help.. I’m 0-4 with this thing. There is only one kiosk in my store (Belleville) which supports it, and this time it was not working. Attendant’s podium does not have a produce scale so we had to tie up another kiosk and two employees to ring it up. At that point self scan or the regular register would have been faster.

Great App, store implementation is important!. The app has been a great addition to an already good shopping experience. Scanning is quick and reliable and if there were any early checkout glitches they seem to have been resolved. Just as important as the app, is the in store experience that goes with it. Once you learn where the smart scales are for produce and the dedicated mobile scan checkout station, using the app for shopping is a no- brainer. My only recommendation would be to add an in-app notepad for my shopping list. Now I’m forced to jump back and forth between my notes app and the mobile scan app.

Worked at first but not now. The first time using this it worked like a charm. Only had to scan things once. If it ever disconnected, it re-connected flawlessly. Then it never worked again. No matter what I do I can not get it to connect. Keep getting a “problem connecting error.” This app was really useful for that one time. Wish it could get fixed so I can use it again.

What Happened?. I was LOVING the convenience associated with using this app for months, then after 3 times in a row being unable to transfer my shopping from my phone to the payment terminal, I was finally informed by a store associate simply that “the app doesn’t work, don’t bother with it.” What’s going on? When will it be fixed so I can again zip in and out of one of the most tedious chores of my week?

Convenient & Timesaving App. This app is great. I open my reusable bags in my cart, scan and pack the items in the bags, scan my phone once at checkout, and I’m gone in half the time of my usual shopping trip. I just wish more ShopRite stores would allow access to the app.

NEW APP IS AWFUL. Poor!! Over 6 months now can not get weekly sales just says reload and when you do it DOES NOTHING ALMOST MAKES ME WANT TO STOP GOING TO SHOPRITE THIS “new app is horrific” NEVER HAD RHESE PROBLEMS WITH OLD APP

Never Works. Every time I go for my weekly food shopping I can never get this app to work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times and it just never connects to the stores WiFi and won’t work over mobile connection. Really bummed because I have gone to other stores over Shoprite at times Ailey because their mobile scan apps work.

OK, but needs work. Positives: Saves time. There is almost never a line at the checkout stations. Don't have to unload my cart/bags and then put everything back. Keeps a running total of my bill so I can keep an eye on my spending. Stores my shopper card # so I don't need it at checkout. Negatives: Must be set up at the store using their network. Not integrated with any shopping list app. Not supported at all stores. Can not scan one item then tell the app you are buying multiple of that item. Eats battery. Also, in at least one store (Clinton, NJ) the turn it off one hour before the store closes. Annoying for us late shoppers.

I like the experience but app looks dated. The app looks like it's on a much older version of iOS, like its on my old iPod touch running iOS 5. It needs to be updated to at least look like newer apps. But as far as functionality goes, it works. You need to be on the ShopRite in store wifi. You do need to register with customer service, where you show your ID and agree to terms and conditions. And oh yeah, the store has to have the capability. But it's pretty nice to bypass long checkout lines and use the self checkout lanes, bag as you go. I see a few one star reviews that say it won't work - it won't work unless your store supports it. Stores that support it advertise that they do, and sometimes give you incentives to use it. You'll also see the mobile scan checkout bar codes above the self checkout registers. If those aren't present it won't work.

App is just fine... if you never want to check out. Using the app while shopping is fine but when you go to a self checkout isle it becomes a nightmares. Tells you to put the items back in the bagging area, need an attendant all of the time. No time saving at all mostly an embarrassing experience. Tried to use several times, just not worth it.

Hit or miss. Sometimes works, sometimes not. Please fix. Not the phone, have used it many times. Says not connected to Wi-Fi but it is.

Ok in General. We used this today for the first time in the Byram store. The process basically worked but there were 2 hitches. First the scale in the produce dept seemed to update the shopping total ok but at the next scan there was an error message from the scale. I started back to the scale and on the way the message cleared. Second at checkout there was an call attendant message. It seemed they needed to audit the bags after scanning 3 items we were able to pay. Juggling the smart phone, shopping list and self packing was a lot of busy work. Suggest that you bring clips into the store to hold bags open on the cart sides to make packing a bit less fumbling. Also consider setting the timeout on your screen to 3 or 4 minutes so app does not go to sleep. Did this save any time? I really don't know. There were no lines at the self checkout so unknown if we saved time overall. I do know we were busier during the shopping trip scanning, packing and juggling the shopping list. I will try it again next time and see if it is any smoother.

Crap of an app. Can’t connect to server when in store and very slow on broadband network. Evidently someone needs to be fired for this app. Their sever can’t handle the data traffic. Very poor planning and user interface is none intuitive. Wish they would revert back to previous version.

This is a poorly created and even more poorly functioning app.. First and foremost… price scanning capability should be built into regular ShopRite app. I shouldn’t have needed to download a second app just to get the price of an unmarked item. Second… the app required some sort of clunky setup. I’m standing there in front of the item messing around with setup and questions when I should have just been able to scan the item and get the price. Third… it is asking me for a Wi-Fi connection… while I am standing in the store. Even when I give it one it keeps asking. Why is this needed at all. It’s a phone with cellular. Fourth, once I put it onto the store Wi-Fi… it didn’t work anyway. I got nothing when scanning an item. Tried another item… same thing. Other apps do this quickly and easily within their main app. This one has trouble handling this simple thing…even with a separate app.

Not working since update. Originally this app was great. Then most recently it kept disconnecting from the shop rite WiFi and I had to keep reconnecting. Now since the update I couldn’t scan and it kept crashing. So I deleted the app and reinstalled and it won’t take my loyalty number. So disappointed. This used to speed up my shopping

This app is garbage. I’ve been in several ShopRite locations and it doesn’t work well anywhere. Please hire the firm that built the “fairway market” mobile scan app. That app works flawlessly. In a middle of a pandemic I would think you would care about your customers more and try to develop an app that can help us be safer.

Problem when asked for quantity of item. I love this app until you have to enter information, such as how many of the scanned items are you purchasing. The keyboard takes up the lower half of the screen with no 'Done' button to complete the entry. Then you are stuck!! You can't cancel, you can't scan more items, you are back to scanning at the register. I am using an iPhone 6S for which this app is supposedly compatible. Btw, the app hasn't been updated in over a year???? What is up with that?

Accelerated Backwards Time Travel. Wow! Using this is like time traveling back to 2008. I loved the ShopRite app that allowed you to click directly on a coupon and then be directed to the products covered by that coupon. I loved being able to look at past purchases and searches. I loved the quick ease at which I could shop from home. I am now forced to use this Wakefern app, that lost all of the customer friendly improvements that ShopRite added to the app over the years. Now I clip a coupon, take a screenshot so I can remember how many I have to buy, search for the item and correct size, click the number needed and then return to the coupons. It took 35 minutes the last time because I tried to remember each item. My account, after making a new password, didn’t carry any data over from the ShopRite so I can’t search for previous items. So now, as I open the app again to shop from home, I decided I won’t be anymore. I will happily go to Giants where I can quickly get in and out by scanning my items and putting them in the bag as I shop. As someone who has certifications and degrees in aspects of technology, I am utterly frustrated and angered to not just go back in time by a frivolous feature, but to go back in time more than a decade of lost features.

Works great!. No issues so far! Really saves time when the store is busy. I needed help from on of the associates to get it set up, but that only took about 5 minutes. Unfortunately only one Shoprite in my area is using it. Hopefully they will set it up at more.

Why bother. Try to download the app. Cannot connect to the Internet in the store. Try to reload the app restart the app and connect to the store continuously throughout my shopping trip no success. Downloaded the app for Wegmans never ever a problem. I guess I’ll continue to shop there instead.

What is the purpose of the app?. After connecting to the store’s WiFi network and accepting the terms and conditions, the app will then spends the rest of the time saying “Attempting to connect to the mobile checkout system” before eventually timing out. Doesn’t matter which ShopRite I go to, I have the sam experience on this app at all of them. Useless app at this point.

Terrible All Around. This is a terrible app and terrible in store experience. The app disconnects from the store every 5 seconds requiring multiple Taps. When you get to checkout you need an attendant to randomly scan 5 items. Overall horrible garbage app

Never works. This app never works at my local ShopRite

Could work. Newly built shoprite by my house not even a year old and they don't have wifi. App is useless unless you can connect to Shoprite Wifi. Which it seems not many even have. Check your wifi list for "Shoprite" before downloading and wasting data.

Frustrating & Time Consuming. I've been using it for months and have yet to see any updates to the many flaws and glitches. 1. It loses its connection to the Wi-Fi after every scan, generating a message you have to clear. 2. You have to press a button to scan! The app is for scanning, why should I have to tell it I want to scan? 3. I have NEVER made it through check out without needing an employee to help. Coupons are not accepted; fruit and veggie codes can't be found. The time I saved in the store is quickly erased at the register. Please fix this app, the process is a time saver...or at least it should be!

Not there yet. I downloaded and tried in the store. The scanner works well, and the mobile checkout is awesome. Problem Only works on Shop Rite wifi. There's an item list that I assume I can use to create a shopping list and use it as I shop. Can't be sure though, because I can't get in the app at home. I'm not going to write my list in shop rite, so that feature is useless. Plus this means I have to switch between my list app and the shop rite for EVERY SINGLE ITEM I buy.

After last update doesn’t connect. Worked great until about a month ago. Now it wont connect to the hotspot.

Update fixed my issues. I like using this app for shopping. I wish it had a way to search for the location of items in the store or a store map. Latest update fixed the crashing.

Not working. Each time I go to my local ShopRite, it doesn’t work.

I will definitely use this again!. Be aware: not all ShopRite locations support mobile scan technology so ask at the service desk before you try to use this app! The app didn't automatically log onto the ShopRite wifi network but it was easy to connect under settings. Overall it was a very pleasant (and futuristic!) shopping experience.

Love!. I love this app. Super simple. Have to set up with customer service first but no big deal. Now I don’t have to wait in an insane checkout line or talk to people! The WiFi in my store is hit or miss but once it reconnects it picks up where you left off. My biggest thing is I wish I could integrate my shopping list from my regular Shop Rite app that way I don’t have to go back and forth.

Needs more work. I was able to use it without any problem while in the store. The problem came at checkout when the system ended up shutting down completely so it force me to use a regular cashier and rescan everything. Also, what is the purpose of me scanning everything if at checkout the cashiers has to scan it again to verify? This just waste way more time. It took almost 10 minutes for the cashier to verify everything and then the system shut down. I get this done quicker just using self checkout.

Works Great!. The first couple of times I used the app I ended up needing a cashier to process the order, but since then the app has worked wonderfully. I started out with small purchases, but now I regularly buy $100+ worth of groceries with no issue. It saves my wife and I so much time at the store. Being able to bag groceries as we go, and then being able to just waltz through self checkout has made grocery shopping so much more convenient.

Does not work. I have time and time again to get this app to work. I install the app and go on the internet to scan the Shoprite price plus card. It will not scan. You must be on the Shoprite network to scan your price plus card. I go to the W. Deptford Shoprite store and try to scan my price plus card. I get a message waiting to connect. I'm given a choice to try again or wait to connect. Neither one works. In other words you must use the price plus card to get the savings. You are unable to use your smartphone to apply the price plus savings. You'd think in this digital world we could expedite and reduce the amount of 'loyalty cards' to a minimum or eliminate them all together. Calgon take me away.

First time use. For the first time using the app, I was pleasantly surprised! I was expecting a hiccup or two for the first time, but they were easily explained to me. The only awkward times were packing up my purchases after checking out. Maybe an area for that would be helpful. Def will use again! Wow!! This is a definite time saver!! I pack my items, go to the kiosk, put my card in, the cashier goes over my items and I’m OUT! I don’t understand why more don’t use this option. Cuts my shopping time in half.

Mr Murrel. You can no longer login on the ShopRite app without sharing your information with The Wakefern app. I’m deleting your App.

Not working at all. It takes forever to get the scanning work. Can’t even scan one single thing. The app is still at beta stage.

Strange Behavior. Every time I sign onto the Shoprite wifi network, my Google account locks saying that someone is attempting unauthorized access. I don't know what's going on, but I've decided not to use the Shoprite wifi network until this is resolved. Unfortunately, if you're not on the Shoprite wifi network, you can't use this app.

Don’t work. This app stinks. Digital coupons never load when your in the store. The store has terrible internet service. So you spend an hour trying to download all the coupons and when you get to the store the internet service don’t work. I call this false advertisement. Time to find another supermarket. Don’t waste your time.

Never works. I have used this app several times since shop rite came to an area near me. Let me just say every time I use the mobile scan app and get ready to process my purchases, I have to go to the person at the checkout and have my purchase scan, and every time I do do they ask if this was the first time, and I have to reply no it’s like the 20th time. The last time I used this app, it wouldn’t recognize my shop rite card or the shop rite WiFi . I was asked by the associates what phone was I using, which shouldn’t make a difference, but was told by them it’s not my iPhone it’s all phones, so I said to them it’s your app.

Register at Customer Service Before you Attempt to Use Mobile Scan App. I don't know if anyone knows this or not but you have to physically go to the customer service counter at a participating "Mobile Scan" Shop-Rite and register yourself and your PricePlus Card before you can even use the Mobile Scan App. Once registered you connect to the Shop-Rite wifi network (Mandatory) then open the App and input your PricePlus Card info (Input only one time). Once that is done then the app will work as intended. You can't just download the App and attempt to start shopping.

Love it. I love it. I walk by the other shoppers 2-3 in line and wave suckers! I'm bagged and ready to pay when I get up to the self checkout. it would be nice to have a section for my list so I wouldn't have to keep closing the app to bring up my list then go back to the app. Coupons too. And better communication between the app and register. I've had a man get mad thinking I'm doing a big order in the 20 or less self check. It took a few minutes for it to load. Otherwise, love it.

Glitching. 99% of the time I have to go through an “audit” when I check out. A cashier has to scan multiple items in my bags & make a mess of everything. When I called customer service they had no idea how to help. First they said Audits were random but literally 36 times in a row is not random. They said try clearing my cache in safari which didn’t work.

Terrible - just what I would expect. No list building functionality unless you want to select from what's in deal this week. You can't build a list from scratch or add items not in the circular. Also for the digital coupons lovely they show you what you've downloaded but how about taking them out once you've redeemed. Less useful than their last app.

Amazing when works properly..... I loved using this app especially during the pandemic. I don’t need to use a cashier or have someone touch my items again when bagging. (I know items get touched when on the shelf. But this avoids one more interaction.) It made shopping so much easier and I was in and out in no time flat! However, for the past few visits, the app has stopped connecting properly. It tells me there is a problem connecting. I can see I am connected to the stores WiFi and I have agreed to the login process. But when I go back to the app it has a problem connecting. I brag about the convenience of this app to everyone but I have become so disappointed and wished it would work again.

Very good. Works great for me. Scan the idea as you go. Place the items in the bag. Pay at the end and leave. Used it numerous times. Main advantage is not having to wait for checkout. Would be good if I could enter my shopping list and the app told me where to go in the store. Emailed receipt would be good too.

Mobile Scan App Fail. Just tried this app at my local ShopRite in Bedford Hills, NY. I logged into the ShopRite store’s Wi-Fi and the internet connection worked just fine. Next, I opened the app and pressed the “I’m Ready” button. Sadly, the app hung, then reported there was a network problem.

Really?. If I didn't have to give any stars I'd rate it zero. No time saved. Line for weigh station. Can't work with all produce that requires a weight. Can't double quantities of none produce.💩💩💩 but no smiley for this emoji.

Not working anymore. Loved this app and shopping but since last upgrade on apple doesn’t work anymore! Very disappointed! Now have to stand in line again for checkout. Have tried reloading app several times and still not working! Please fix this!!!!

Great...when it works.. I love the app when it works. Never know when it will work and when it won’t. Very frustrating.

Horrid. This app doesn't work at all.. Just came back from Shop Rite, the whole time getting "connecting to network".. What's the point if it doesn't work?? Shouldn't get 1 star, but have no choice..

Terrible app. Displayed the wrong total and duplicated many of my items. It took me 20 additional minutes just to sort everything out and prevent myself from being overcharged. DO NOT USE!

Needs Major Work. Just downloaded. Tried several times and it keeps saying it has connection problem. Do not push the app if it does not work.

Scanner doesn’t work. This app would be a great tool for shopping if it worked. At the app site i receive a message that the wifi connection isn't working, meanwhile I'm on wifi.

App stopped working. The app stopped working after the latest iOS upgrade. The app says it can’t connect, even though the phone is connected to the store’s wireless network.

Wi fi problems. The app does not work Wi-fi says not on & turn on in wifi network & join, well there's no network to join I really don't need the wifi I just want to use scanner to price check. Can't use cuz the wifi MSG ugh!!

App does not connect to shoprite wifi. I tried using this app. My phone was connected to local shoprite’s wifi but app was having issue connecting.

Didn’t work!. App said for me to sign in and I signed into the stores WiFi and 5 times it told me that it couldn’t connect to the WiFi clearly I all ready was. I tried restarting the app and it never worked.. I will be deleting it. Wished it worked!

Couldn't Connect. Tried using app at the cedar knolls store today. Wouldn't connect to shop rite wifi. Would have liked to see what the app did

Doesn't work. Went to my local Shoprite and this app would not work. Could not get it to connect to the store network. App won't let you do anything unless you are connected to the store network.

App seems not to work with iOS 14.4. App is not working after last iOS upgrade, prior version works ok. But overall functionality is poor at today’s standards. Last release one year old? Really??

Poor In Store Experience. Unfortunately, you can’t get a good signal in the store. And the WiFi rarely works. Another disappointing app from shoprite.

Not time saving as is. I just downloaded this app AT HOME. However, you can't explore the app unless "you select the ShopRite Wi-fi network". Evidently, you have to be in a ShopRite store even to open initially just to set up rewards info, etc. I had wanted the app ready to go when I entered the store.

Can’t connect to internet. In every ShopRite I have been at, I always have trouble connecting to their internet. If I can connect, most of the time I can’t scan the items. Poor app, needs a lot of improvement.

Application suddenly disappeared. The Shop Rite application suddenly disappeared from my iPhone. When I went to the app store it downloaded as “the New Shop Rite”....strange application

Does not work. I have been to two stores and the app does not work. The funniest part is that the store employees don't know how to fix it or have never heard of it. Going to the customer service did not help when your app says that I should go to customer service for assistance.
