Not a fan of update. I’ve used this app for several years. I’m not sure if the issues with the update are because of the app or the iPhone 14. Entering anything is delayed and when you try to click the check mark to submit an entry it sometimes takes at least 1-2 minutes before it will submit.

Me likey. So many of the free apps don’t have the features I need but this one does! Can transfer between accounts and reconciling in one results in reconciling in the other. The ads don’t interfere with what I’m trying to do. Good ability to categorize and add new categories. I withheld the fifth star only because I would like to change the color scheme

I like it.. My only challenge is with the parent category and payee/or designations that I haven’t figured out how they work yet. I love the way you don’t have to wait for long advertisements to finish before using and how one can transfer funds from one account to another so easily. It’s a winner!

New look screwed it up.. When I first got this, I hated it. It’s grew on me though and I was ok with it. The recurring payments was a pain but sealable. I’m back to hating it. Resent update really screwed it up. Recurring doesn’t auto fill at all now and if you put it in it adds in many months worth. It won’t lock anymore. And the whole format is just not right. I only need to use this as a register and it just doesn’t work for me anymore. Looking for replacement app.

Needs a look ahead feature. This is a great checkbook app, but is missing the most important feature to me - a look ahead feature for recurring transactions. If it had this feature it would be 5 stars! Getting paid bi-monthly and having bills paid automatically, they don’t come out right at payday. I like to be able to look ahead 30 days to see how much I have until the next paydays.

I Love This App. This app helps me keep track of everything and is very user friendly. It’s userface is very simple and self explanatory. I use it to set my budget for the month; it lets you put in your bill amounts, then you can ☑️ whether that expense has cleared. It gives you the cleared balance and uncleared balances so you know how much money you’ll have between paychecks. Very useful!!

Great app. I have been pretty happy with this app. I think that it is easy to use. I gave it four stars because I think that a great improvement would be to be able to split purchases between categories. So you get a more accurate assessment of where your money is going. If there’s a way to do it I haven’t figured that out. Other than that I really like the app, I would highly recommend it

Good customer service. We had a problem with the last update that upgrades app to work with IOS 12. We found that we were having issues with monthly totals in several accounts. Contacted customer service via email and after several correspondence emails it was determined that any transactions entered on the last day of each month were not calculated for that month. It was suggested we change those transaction to a day earlier, which we did and it now calculates properly. They indicated the fix would be implemented on the next upgrade.

Simple is what I wanted. I was about to set up a mobile version of Excel to have a check register in my phone. I wanted it to be a check register. NOT a budgeting, accounting, planning 'everything' tool. Found Quick Checkbook and now I have my register in my pocket! Thank you and KEEP it simple sweetheart! Really though, please leave this one alone and let it remain simple. Thanks for having what I was looking for.

Clumsy. Creating accurate categories for income seems impossible, so you are stuck with the default items. Why? There seems to be no limit to the expense categories. Whatever. The free version is paltry and does not inspire to purchase. The totaling is not helpful, and the cleared numbers, I guess, total up from the beginning? From when? Who knows. I don’t see multiple device support. Maybe they want me to pay for it, but I never would.

Missing some obvious features. The app is okay but lacks some key features. When you go into an account it shows “cleared balance” then “outstanding items” and then “cleared balance” again, instead of “available balance.” This drives me crazy and makes no sense! I emailed the developer about this telling them it was repetitive and missing key information (available balance!) and they didn’t think it was important to show available balance on the account page. So you have to exit to the main page in order to get this info. When you enter a payee it doesn’t save the payee for later use, so you have to type out the same payee every single time. Very tedious and annoying. The app doesn’t show a running balance. I like to pay all of my monthly bills at one time and it’s super helpful to see what remaining cushion I have in my account as I enter the transactions. Yeah, that doesn’t work with this app. I’m done with this app. I found a free competitor of theirs and am now using that app and am very happy.

Efficient and easy to use. I tried out many similar free app offerings and found this one to be the simplest to use, but with enough depth of features to make it a great choice for me for the long haul. I plan to upgrade to the paid version once I’m sure it will meet all my needs. I like having a way to keep track of various accounts (Cash, expenses, carve-out rainy day fund, etc.) without having to set up the linkage to the bank, credit card companies, etc. it’s a really well designed app!!! Thank you for making it available :-)

Check book register. I can’t keep up with a check register while use a bank card but I can keep my phone with me at all time and this app provides me with the mathematical information to minus or plus my check account and saves me from over drawing my checking Thanks again for the free app.

App calculations are off. This was my favorite app but now every time I make a change and back it up to iCloud (I back up my changes every night), it shows back up in my transactions. I have removed one transaction multiple time and it keeps coming back. Also, my balance will be off sometimes by a dollar or 2 and I have to keep on making adjustments. When I check my cleared transactions, the extra deduction is nowhere to be found. Something has to be done to fix this, it sounds like a bug is affecting the software.

Easy and useful app. I use the free version (after a mishap with a paid one) and find it very user friendly and easy. The ads don’t hinder the work flow. The organization and format is easy to follow and the app works without issue. I use it to keep on top of my spending and will keep using as long as a free version with ads is offered.

Will never use paper register again. I am able to manage multiple accounts at the same time. I use the recurring transactions for both automatic deposits and withdrawals. Works great. Has nice pie chart showing where you are spending your money. And you can upload pics of your receipts with each entry.

Account Name. This is a very good app. The only issue I am having with the app is that once you set up and name the account you cannot go back and edit that name. If you try to edit the name, and click in that field, a date field shows up for you to change the start date. There is no way to edit the name on the account once it’s been established.

LOVE this app!!!. Super user friendly!! For 10 years I used an app called PocketMoney. I loved it until they updated everything and it was suddenly not user friendly AT ALL. I started out my new year with this app and am very pleased so far!! Everything is simple to set up and use and the type is he perfect size to see without a magnifying glass!! :) I suggest adding some new fun icons to choose from when creating categories.

What I would change about this app. This has happen to me several times and it has thrown my checkbook out of wack. So let’s say I previously used a parent category or something for an entry. Days later I go and delete a bunch of parent or child categories because I want to clean up my list cause there’s too many. What happens is that by deleting a category the entire entry is deleted therefore throwing my check book completely off. This is very frustrating! It shouldn’t matter if I deleted a parent category the entry for either deposit or expense should remain on my checkbook. I’m just deleting the icon it shouldn’t delete my entire entry!! This is a huge problem and I hope it can be changed or I’ll have to find another online check book to use.

Wonderful app until last update. I’ve used this app as a checkbook for several years. It’s easy to use and me favorite checkbook app I’ve used in my time with a smartphone checkbook. The last update places ads before you can access your checkbook information, though. This is frustrating as I often need to see a quick glance of my balances. It’s frustrating to have such a money-grabbing change made, especially when there’s such a negative impact to user experience. Otherwise, I would have rated 5*.

Good but.... It's good. It shows every account status you enter without asking for account numbers and going online. A minimal change I would prefer is that in the transaction tracker it shows the merchants names but the category (shopping, entertainment)is in bold so it's the first thing your eye is drawn to. the first thing I prefer to see is the merchant name

This app is great!. It is easy to manage. I love it. It is more convenient for me to put it in the phone than on a paper register. I always forget to do that with my debit card. This app calculates everything as you put your spent bills in. And it also has an area for monthly recurring bills to automatically subtract.

Best account tracking app. I tried several different bank account apps and this is the best one by far! I can track multiple accounts, organize entries by category and subcategory. I can set up recurring payments. It also allows taking photos of checks or receipts, whatever image you want to attach to an entry. There is also an area to make a note on the entry. The layout is very user friendly and makes budgeting easy. It also saves in the cloud so I can access it on my phone and iPad. I’m not sure what the full version offers but the free version is excellent!!

Paper vs electronic. This is the first time I have tried using a paperless check register. I think I am going to like it. I am very uncomfortable not being able to copy it. Right now I do a monthly register for each account. I am not sure that it isn’t much easier to do it by hand. I like knowing I have something I can make a copy of. This app is easy to use, does all of the math for you, allows you to keep track of categories for tax purposes. You can keep track of several accounts (checking,savings, credit union, pension plans and so on). It would be perfect if you could make monthly hard copies of the account not just a transaction.

Used to be good. This used to be a good app, but recent changes in the UI made it very awkward to use. The decimal point is hit or miss when I press it (very bad in a money app) and paying monthly just to balance my checkbook is a no go. I have since moved on to a better, simpler app that serves my very, very basic needs which basically involve creating a few accounts for my credit cards and transferring money to them virtually inside the app to insure the money has been set aside so I don’t accidentally spend it.

Pretty Handy App!. I got tired of the Not Sufficient Funds charges from my bank because I kept forgetting to save all my paper receipts and write everything in my checkbook register everyday. This app makes it SO easy! Yay! I like the automatic clearing of transactions and therefore the automatic balance adjustments after adding a new transaction. I also like the notes feature so you can better specify what you’re spending. The WiFi export feature blows my mind! It’s well thought through and perhaps the best looking check register app in the App Store.

Meets all of my needs. This app has all the features I need including taking pictures of checks or receipts to go along with the transactions. I like that you can make your own categories, though some of the categories can be confusing like instead of “electricity bill” under utilities it says “electronics” which isn’t quite the same lol but you can always make your own category I guess. I’m glad that I can export the data to excel but I haven’t tried yet so hopefully that works ok, I’ll update my review when I find out.

I actually upgraded to paid version. Update. Revised from 5 to 1 stars. I loved it until I put in recurring transactions. I looked everywhere and there was no way to change this. 1. You either have to show ALL recurring transactions or it won’t enter. If you put in a car payment as recurring it will show All 36 payments or none. 2. You cannot edit recurring payments without creating a duplicate payment🥸. So if you enter a recurring car payment for 36 months. It doesn’t just add the next payment, it adds 36 months of payments. If you go back and change from $205 to $204 - you now have 2 payments for 36 months. You have to delete each one individually. The balance reflects a negative because it shows 3 years of car payments. I did this for a years payments before I realized. Starting over again - WITH ANOTHER APP! —————— I never pay for apps and could have used the free version even longer. After a few days I just liked the free version so much I splurged for the .99 . The free does what you need without forcing you to get fancy with reports I don’t really need. I just want to keep track if my stuff so I don’t overdraw. Can add multiple accounts and recurring transactions. Easy to read display. Ads are not intrusive

Free version. Have not downloaded pro version yet but free version has been much better than the app I have been using for the last 3yrs. Using this on for only 6 months so far. Only downfall for free version is you have to watch a video to get more entries or accounts, etc

Great tool to have in keeping the spending in check!. I love this app! Now I don’t have to take extra time logging into accounts online every time I need to check my transactions and balance. I enjoy being able to plug in the numbers and be able to know what my cash flow looks like after all the bills and grocery/gas budget is entered in!

Terrible!. I’ve been using this app for almost 5 years without any problems. 2 weeks ago it updated to the new layout and nothing worked correctly. It’s now very difficult to navigate compared to the old version. I had several automatic payments set up and 2 different bank accounts loaded. The update corrupted all the data and lost track of all the recurring transactions. I’ve removed it from my device.

Was a good app. This was a good app till it started some how adding the wrong balance. I’d have it balanced one day, enter rent and some how had close to $1,000 after that. Deleted the rent to see if it would go back, nope whole new balance after that. Before that a few days ago went to balance it again, some how it added $300 after a few days ago being the right balance. I have had this app few about a year. Time to try something else after that.

A great little checkbook. I’ve been using this particular checkbook app for a few years now and it’s been very easy to use and is quite handy. I recommend it and it’s free of charge. Aside from the various ads you have to watch, it’s really not bad. 👍🏾

Good app. If you are wanting a basic account manager, this is a great straight forward app for that purpose. I have the free version, so it is limited on catagories ( I think the pay version has more), so that is my only critique. Overall, happy with the app for the purpose of a quick checking account tracker.

Good app, could use a few changes.. Relatively simple app. I love that the transfers happen between both accounts so you don’t have to make an entry in each account. I wish I could figure out how to turn off the setting of auto marking each transaction complete when it is input.

Free checkbook app. I’ll take the banner ads over paying for something similar. This is perfect for me to track my debit, savings, and credit card accounts! Everything all in one place instead of opening multiple apps or writing everything down!

Good not great. This app is not very user friendly but it works if you are willing to play with it a bit until you know it. I am a little annoyed you are only able to use it to track two accounts (no more) which almost defeats the purpose of having it at all (who only has two accounts?). I do like that there are some customization options though and think it is relatively good if you are looking for something really simple.

Great except one tiny issue. Under the utility section you have water trash etc. but like if you were paying your electric bill it says electronics not electric or electricity LOL. Other than that great. And maybe under one of those headings when I take money out of the ATM I just put it under Personal because there’s really not something to choose from. Those are kind of picky but I really do love the app.

Save Money. I love this app. It works so well and easily. Keeping track of every purchase I make actually has helped save me money. Knowing where you are financially at any given moment keeps you in the know, and I don’t spend money that I don’t have.

Keeps me on track. This app is convenient and easy to use. I have neglected keeping a checkbook ledger for quite some time, because I don’t like pulling out the paper and pen at checkout. I like being able to record a transaction with a few taps. I appreciate that I can set up multiple accounts. I don’t need extra bells and whistles.

Great convenient. My favorite checkbook register App. Simply checking. Tracks my spending. Shows where to budget. I can keep track of which transactions clear. Automatically subtracts transaction. I know exactly how much money I have on hand in my bank. Remembers reoccurring transactions, so I can click on it instead of typing it every month. I recommend this app if you want a simple solution to keeping your check book balanced. Thank you to the developers.

Check book review. It is easy to work with and to be able to have a savings and checking account in one place to see. The only problem I have is I cannot find where to turnoff or delete a recurring charge or if I post a transaction in error no way to delete. Otherwise than these 2 issues this is one of the better apps to use

Checkbook is great. This program is perfect for making several account categories to create a where the money goes in a simple easy way. Instructions are short and to the point. Would be nice to have a few more examples of use. The free download is awesome for my budget plans. Using all those separate categories as if they are envelopes with cash in them. Definitely easier to see amounts and transactions. Thanks for creating this app

shame they want to charge you for it ?. I was just thinking what a great way this app is to track our budget? then i realized you need to watch adds under settings to add credits to get more free time. So i figure when those credits are gone then if I don’t subscribe, I wont have any minutes left. also theres a limit on how many budgeting charts you get that they didn't disclose. you have to watch an add for a few credits there too. I mean this is a budgeting app and paying to watch where i spend is NOT in our budget !

Not too bad. This app has most every feature I was looking for. I can balance both my checking and savings accounts with ease. The app is fast when you open it and it works well as I navigate it. My only issues with this app are: 1. I have to click it multiple times to get it to open and stay open. It crashes many times before it will will stay open (I do have my phone updated to latest operating system) 2. Even though I do not categorize my expenses this app makes me go thru the extra step of selecting an expense category which takes me more time to log an expense. I wish you would make this app where this feature can be turned off 3. The ads are annoying but….I am using it for free

Great Mobile Checking Book. This app was great for what I needed. I was looking for an app that would replace my checking book so I could be more accountable for my money. It’s easy and fast to put transactions in, both expenses, transfers, and incomes, and I love the categories that make it so easy to sort your transactions. The pie chart that shows your total expenses and what you spend the most on is really helpful too!

Simple easy tracking. It is easy to learn how to use the app. When I get my bank statements its easy to check off expenses as completed and I can quickly look at my spending an income anytime.I may buy the full program but I want to use the free one for a few months before I make that decision.

Good but could be better. So far I like the app with the exception of not being able to split transactions into multiple categories (groceries, personal care, etc) - unless I missed it. As it is now, I have to enter in multiple separate transactions and put in the comments that it’s part of the total charge. Other than that, the report section is quite helpful and easy to add different categories as needed.

Best one for me!. I’ve tried various checkbook registers and they all were lacking. I hit the jackpot with this one. I can track multiple accounts at a glance and in-putting my info is simple and easy. I would like to see more spending categories such as medical, pharmacy, etc. My biggest drawback and reason for 4 stars was the fact I had downloaded this app to my iPad thinking it would be easier to enter information since its for the iPad and iPhone. What it didn’t do was sync to my iPhone after spending a long time entering all my info!! I contacted customer service and was told that no at this time those two won’t sync. Now that I have everything on my phone I don’t need my iPad for it.

Simplicity gone. Adding a transaction used to be easy. Used to pop up stored payees by typing a few characters. It keeps pleading with me to make changes to MY settings. Hate that I have to scroll all the way to the right end to go to my most common used account. Really hate that it shows all transactions from different accounts together on same page. Makes it look like activity is just on one account. Booo!! I used to love this app!

Perfect!. I’ve been using this app for about six months now. I needed a basic app to manage my bank accounts and replace my old checkbook. I count for a lot of my bills in advance and like to know what my “real balance is“.This does exactly that for me, allows me to audit and check off transactions against my bank account online. I also like the flexibility of setting up different accounts and icons. The report and graphics are great and I can see where my money goes.

Awesome App. Hope we can customize colours. Also if we can edit account balances and names. Thanks.

Loving it. It does what it says. I like the fact that is not as intrusive as other apps out there, you can enter as little or as much information on your transactions as you like. Even the adds are not too bad, they don’t interfere with what you’re doing on the app. I love it!

Excellent. I’ve used many different checkbook apps. This one is buy far the best and easiest to use. Especially with multiple accounts. I’m about to upgrade to the full version

Reoccurring payments not showing on time. I have just switched to to this app from another one because the reoccurring payments never show on the register when they should. This app seems no different. Have a payment that is supposed to come out on May 2 and it’s now May 4 and it hasn’t updated in the register. Disappointing.

Needs work. Appreciated that free version allowed 2 accounts vice 1 like most ledger apps. Rating based on issues experienced when trying to add a category. Was unable to enter my first transaction because the appropriate category was not available by default and every attempt to add the category failed. Deleted app immediately after, so did not test remaining features or general ease of use.

One of the best!. Far better than the app I last used to keep track of misc side purchases. Great functionality in the free version!

Cjblust. I total love this app! It’s easy to use and is keeping on track. Before debit cards and so many auto payments we just wrote everything in your checkbook ledger! This app is great because it’s right on your phone. No need to remember to write it down! ❤️❤️❤️

Amazingly simple and complete. I have very high standards and this app not only meets but exceeds them! I just wish they also had one for a Mac laptop computer. Good job!!

Best free app I’ve found. Pretty easy to get use to, when first searching I downloaded every free money manager app I could and this was the last one standings let’s me keep track of several accounts easily

REVIEW. Checkbook is exactly what I was looking for. Not complicated at all and very easy to use. I used it this first time on our two week vacation, so I could keep track of how & what we spent, so I would know what I would need for next year’s vacation.

New ad update a deal breaker for me.. I’ve used this app for a very long time and I have enjoyed it as it has served its purpose. However, with the new update where it shows an advertisement immediately upon opening, I am no longer happy with it. I wish the makers would change this back to the way it used to be.

Has a really good layout.. Overall the experience has been good, you can add and edit different genres. I just wish that you could have a separate layout for another account so it’s all separate.

Helps me on the go.. Great app that helps me keep my balances in order especially when traveling all the time. Nice to not need to log into online banking until it is time to reconcile expenses.

Great Checkbook App. This app is very quick and easy to use. I have never had any problems or glitches with it even though I track multiple accounts on it. I would recommend it to anyone.

User Friendly. This app made my day. I got so tired of keeping up with the paper register and being out of balance. I still check my account daily, but that will stop soon as I continue to use this FREE electronic register consistently. Awesome tool for me!

Needs a way to delete. I have had several times where I thought I didn’t enter something, then to find out I put it in twice. Can’t delete the entry I have to add a deposit and mark it as a reverse of that transaction. Other then that, it is good.

Update. I have had this app for YEARS! I use it for my business budgets, personal, savings, etc. this update is not usable for my budgets like the old version. I literately have a full budget for 4 businesses and personal saved in the old version of this app and its not usable any longer. I AM DEVASTATED!!!! This has truly been one of the most beneficial useful tools in my businesses and now I can not use it!

Perfect. Easy to use. An option to print reports would be a huge bonus.

Great App. I’m using this app to track my son’s expenses for his SSI annual report. I know this is going to make it so much easier come report time! It’s so easy to use and meets all my needs.

Amazing. I have a few accounts business personal savings,this is the first checkbook tracker that lets me put in all May accounts without being charged extra. It’s very easy to use and nicely laid out.

Easy program. Easy to use program. Just wish that it could link to my wife’s phone also so that she could put in what she spent on our joint account. Also would be nice to have on the computer.

Bad app. App links to outside of apple to get your credit card info and then the scam charges start flooding in. Do not use this app, it’s a scam to get your info.

Love this App. I’m happy that I no longer need to use paper registers. This one is so easy and now my account is balanced to the penny. I have no problems using this app, so far so good! :)

This app is a life saver. I have not been overdrawn since started using this app I can never find my check registers (2 accounts) but I can always find my phone. Thanks so much for offering this app

Best I Found. After switching from Samsung to Apple, I couldn’t find the same app I was using, but found this one and glad that I like it better than the other one

Quick checkbook. This is quality app for free. The ads are not too intrusive and the app aids in budgeting with its categories. My only complaint is that you have to choose an account for each entry even though you have only one account.

Does everything I want it to do. This checkbook app makes it soooi easy to record transactions and balance my checkbook monthly within minutes.

Very nice. I’ve only been using this app a few weeks. I’m no whiz on mathematics or complicated apps. It’s simple and seems to be doing a great job. I haven’t yet had a due date come up on my monthly scheduled transactions. I’ll be interested to see how well that works.

Would have been higher if I didn’t have to watch videos. Would have been higher if they had not constantly kept putting the rate me screen up. I’ll rate it when I feel like it. Otherwise not a bad app so far.

Great for managing finances. This app has been crucial to helping me keep track of my finances. I love that I’m able to add multiple accounts for free and keep track of all my spending easily so I can pay off debt faster.

Update made it worse NOT better. Why update something that does not improve the features. I don’t want to see the category I need to see the payee. Why is unknown defaulted in payee section and it’s not a smart search. Why can’t we be able to customize view to see what we want to see not a default view. I am in apps now looking for a more user friendly ledger and will be deleting this one.

Great app.. I have been using this for some time and it works flawlessly. The only issue I have had was the ads became untenable to the point I was looking for another app. I found they have a pro version, hopefully without the annoying ads.

easy to use. So easy to use. I like that I can enter my reoccurring payments and it automatically goes in each month. Calculations are done for you. Easy to check off cleared checks.

Needs a couple things.. Love the app but there is no list of past merchants meaning every time you go to Wal mart, you have to type Wal Mart as the payee. Other checkbooks bring up a list that allows you to type to find. Just a suggestion

Checkbook app. Excellent app, although I would like to be able to delete an expense transaction instead of correcting with the income section to cancel out transaction. Perfect for keeping all accounts and credit cards in one place.

Hold pertinent info. After some figuring and getting used to it works for me. Easy to reconcile with bank and add check info. Has categories which are customizable for more specific applications.

Nice & Simple. This does the basic needs. Wish the next day’s recurring entries would show as upcoming item on the register. From what I see, they show up only on ‘day of’. Also would be nice when opening app to return to the register you had open last, saving the time of choosing the account.

New update. Since the latest update - I don’t like that the payee defaults to unknown and I have to delete that before I can enter the actual payee. I’ve never liked that I have to select a category- this should be optional - But other than that it’s a good app. Ive used for years

Tried several then found this one. I looked at several check books over a few weeks after I changed phones. Styled settled on this on. Took me a day out to to get used to but it works fine. The ads are a bit annoying but not overly so.

Works most of the time. It works most of the time but there is a glitch with the reoccurring charges. Charges will reappear after being deleted once the app is closed out. It messes up my balance and it’s annoying to have to remove them every time I check my balances.

Keeping Track. App works great helping me track my debt/credit card transactions. Easy to reconcile monthly. Multiple accounts and easy transfers between them.

Shannon. This is great, I used to carry my check register everywhere and most of the time look for a pen to write something down, now I just punch it in this and it does all the math and I’m done.

Easy to use. I no longer have to carry around a paper check register. All calculations are fine in the app and I can export my transactions at the end of each month.

Best Checkbook. This application helps to keep family finances organized. It takes the place of the old check register that families would record income and expenses for each month.

Best check register I have found. I have been keeping a check register on my phone for years now and I searched high and low for an easy and fast application to use. THIS is the best I have found, hands down!!

Good Checkbook Register. I stumbled upon this because I was tired of going to the bank for check registers! This allows me to do the same on my cellphone and take images to verify purchases! And, it provides you charts and graphs to show you where your money was spent. I also like that it’s free!

GREAT APP. This app is great, I am able to do my transactions on the go and has lots of good features. I wish the developer would use a better layout when users are entering numbers. The previous version had a better numbers key layout in my opinion.
