Good App, Must Pay For Each Platform!. The knot app itself is good. Just a heads up, you must pay for each platform. So, if you happen to buy it while on your iPad, and then want to load it on your iPhone, no good. I thought I must be doing something wrong, since I had never run into that before, so I contacted the company. They confirmed that, yes, you must pay for each platform separately. My problem is that they don't mention that anywhere in the app description. It's certainly not the norm. Again, good app, except now I'm stuck with it on my iPad, when I really wanted it on my phone. Oh well. Consider yourself warned.

Excellent. This app is perfect for learning to tie virtually any knot even for a dyslexic like me. The easy to follow graphics that you can pause at each step make it simple to learn even complicated knots. I've been using it for marine/fishing applications with excellent results.

Learn those knots!. I downloaded this for my two Webelos. They are having a great time learning their knots! I like that they can tap to see the knot step by step. The photographs are great. Made me curious to study and attempt unfamiliar knots.

Five bucks wasted. The animation is choppy and poorly done. The app is a total waste of a lot of money. I was robbed. This designer is not a teacher. I am not knot pleased.

Love the website. Going on scout camp and on the down times going to have the scouts work on their knots.. I love the website and hope the app is the same… I will let you know..

Best $5 I’ve ever spent on an app. Buy this App. We have a sport fishing boat in Alaska - which we use continuously for 3 - 5 day trips, 20 to 60 miles out of town/on the ocean. Our need to tie and splice various lines is non stop. This fantastic app has made it easy for any of us on the boat to become expert at just the right knot for any occasion. Brilliant in its simplicity and presentation (and no nonsense explanations and comparisons).

By Far the Best. I was looking for a guide to rock climbing knots and bought the top 5 knot apps. This one is simply the best. The instruction is better, the information about each knot is better, and the creators did their homework. There are even links to testing done on holding power and reliability. This is the only knot app you need.

Purchasing. I am furious that I have to buy the app for My ipad and again for my iPhone

Best knot app. This is my fave knot app! It has tons of knots, and the pictures are easy to follow. My favorite thing about this app over others, is that it demonstrates hand wrapping and one handed tying methods. The categories are well laid out. With this and Knots3d, I can tie any knot. Knots3d is also a very good knot app, but only shows the knot being tied from the end, this can make some knots like the alpine butterfly, more confusing than they need be.

Refund request. All my other apps work on phone and pad (even the 3D app) I can’t see any reason that this one will not, I knew this is to much to pay for this app but I like having some of the different knots so I got it now I find out It will not let me share this app with my phone so I would like to get a refund please. Thank you.

I'm All Tied Up. This is about as good as it gets for knots. I specifically like the animations. They are easy to follow. There are numerous knots available to tie and get just the right knot.

Terrific app!. I've been a big fan of their website for a while now. I think their tutorials are well done with their step by step pictures. This app keeps the same high quality that's found at their site, only now I don't need the Internet to access them. Really a great app to have if you enjoy knot tying.

Good for knots. Good program, unless you bought it thinking you could have it on your phone too. That's another $4.99.

Combines the best of boat, scout and para cord knots. Glad I bought this app. Worried it was not worth the $5, but after spending over $50 for ebooks on para cord, marine knots, and other apps, I'm really glad I took the plunge. The animation is first rate on my iPad. The color is magnificent and the knot list exceeds comprehensive. I forget how to tie knots when I am out and about. Now I have the whole kit and kaboudal with me where ever I go. Can't say enough good things about this app.

Even better on iPad. As a longtime user of the iPhone version I was very glad to see the release of an iPad app. This has the same high quality graphics, animations, and knot information you've come to expect from Grog, but now larger! I especially like the usability and navigation of the app in landscape mode. If you want the best resource for learning to tie knots this is the app for you. I know knot experts that love Animated Knots by Grog, but it's especially invaluable for someone like me who does not find themselves dealing with knots often enough to memorize the various ones and how to utilize them, let alone tie them! This app comes to the rescue each time!

Excellent guide. As a climber and a fisherman I love knots. This taught me some new ones for both activities, and introduced me to decorative knotting.

Amazing animation, Great app. Love this app. Step-by-step pictures are so easy to follow. I can use it in camp and in the boat when I'm away from the internet. This app was recommended in Salmon and Steelhead Journal. In the next upgrade, I would like Grog to add an animation for "how to snell a double hook" to the fishing section. Also, add the breaking strength to the knots.

I asked that the Egg Loop knot be added to the Fishing group of the IOS version of the app. Grog answered my email the next day, provided an easy work around, and delivered in an update in less than 10 days. I'm impressed with this high quality app and even more with the knowledgable support. Thank you.

Ok, but. I found this app because I was making paracord bracelets so I got it thinking it had decorative knots. It's a ok app but it really doesn't have that many knots, not 5$ worth. There's only about 15 decorative knots. Sorry guess it is ok, just not what I needed. I have no problem paying for good apps. There are just to few knots for 5$. Should cost 2 or 3$' tops.

Crash a lot on my ios 8.1.1 iPad air. Please revise your knots since some are incomplete or lack steps. Crach upon adding to favorite. Inconsistent comments.
