Review. I’m an avid motorcycle enthusiast and I’ve been relying on your forecasts and especially your radar to keep me as safe and dry as possible, especially during riding. The time lapse feature allows me to see the real time movement of storms and adjust my route to avoid them as much as possible. Thanks for keeping me safe

Forecast accuracy. Sometimes the daily forecast in the app conflicts with forecast on tv. No notification for Special Weather Statements from NWS. Radar sometimes crashes.

Honest and high quality. There is just something about Tom Terry when he speaks makes you feel good about what he says.

Wrong language. My app is in Spanish instead of English, and the help section is not working. Getting an error message.

Need to fix the radar map. The radar is always way behind the current conditions. Many times, like the present, it’s showing the rain is approaching. However it’s pouring outside.

During Severe Weather. During severe weather especially while watching hurricanes come (miss us) it’s often not the most recent weather update video that is the most apparent and sometimes difficult to find the current one. I definitely trust Tom Terry and team most ever since Tom was the only one who got Charlie right!

Problem. This app use to be very good and bang on with its alerts but I downloaded the new updated version and the storms that we have had don’t seem to show up at that time of event. ? Maybe have another look at this app and try to fix it. Please iv always followed you guys as trust you.

Radar. The radar does not work it’s poring rain outside right now and the radar shows nothing in my area. And I agree with BUGS every time I turn on it tells me can’t connect turn on my wifi on turn off airplane mode. Bring back the old version.

Weather radar locks up ! And worst of all the ad’s !!. Please get rid of the ad’s !! Maybe that’s why the radar locks up ?

Weather outlook. Best app for checking on my local weather outlook.

Doesn’t work. I had the old version and it worked great, but ever since they did the update, it doesn’t work. It stays on the opening page- the picture of Tom Terry. I’ll change my review once it works again.

Weather Review. Very happy with this site. I can go to my local city and find out exactly what the temperature is, wind, rain and very happy. Keep up the good work guys and gals!

Love WFTV Channel 9. I love WFTV. The Weather Department is always right on with their predictions. The Traffic Department is always up to the minute. And all the Anchors are great

Great Weather App. The app gives great, detailed information regarding incoming weather fronts.

Best Ever. The WF TV, channel 9 weather app is absolutely the best weather app out there. I’ve looked for a better one and can’t find any that give better coverage to the local and regional weather conditions and projections. This app can show you the weather radar for almost anywhere in the country and it also can show general weather conditions, temperatures, etc. I would recommend this app to anyone who wants to keep in track with the weather locally or across the country with friends and relatives.

Good app but too many ads!. Please provide a paid option to remove ads. The ads are the worst part about that app and there are way too many!

Great App!. Not sure if I missed when the app wasn’t so great? I’ve never experienced any issues with this app as other reviewers have stated. It always notifies me if rain is coming to my location, or if lightning was detected. The radar works well enough to where I don’t need a separate app, it’s just not as detailed as said apps. Maybe that’s an area they can work on. But I love having this app! It’s very convenient.

Morning News. I am so grateful that Brian is back... Jamie and Nancy are fantastic but we were all missing Brian. I feel like they are my family. I teach school and watching the team each morning gives me a great attitude that I take right into my first grade classroom. Thank you to the entire team... l love everything y’all stand for.... BUGS. Doesn’t seem the new version of this app was tested enough. Today getting message it can’t connect to my WiFi but all other apps including App Store sure can. I’m going to delete it and download again but new app is not nearly as nice as old one so will be looking for a better one. UPDATE- delete and reinstall worked for awhile but app is unusable again today. Deleting for good. Terrible.

USED to be a good app. They took what used to be a great app and LOADED IT DOWN with SO MANY ADS that it takes forever to load and parts of it no longer function properly (especially the MOST IMPORTANT, the “EYE ON THE TROPICS” section) the TINY video map of the approaching hurricane forecast no longer loads (endless spinning disc) and it is too small to even SEE on your phone as it is crowded out by ALL. THE. BANNER. ADS. Even when it USED to function, you would have to wait through ENDLESS ANNOYING TV commercials. I gave up on it

9, The Best weather channel ever.. Ever since Tom called the hurricane Charlie path, which he was the first to call the correct path.., I have never watched another weather channel. Keep up the most reliable weather channel on TV!!!

Needs major improvement. This used to be my favorite app. They have been slacking off majorly. I’ll log on and what’s on there is 3-5 days ago. Nothing gets updated on a regular basis. It’s very frustrating. If it doesn’t change soon I’ll be deleting it. FYI. I’m not the only person that’s talking about it

Keeping us all informed!. This is my first time using your app, which was recommended by neighbor. I love it! I’m staying up to date on what’s happening in Marion county and Florida as a whole. I’m also able to shared the app with my loved ones and they’re staying informed as well. Thank you all for doing an outstanding job as we all preparedness for Idalia.

WFTV Weather. Trusted more than any other channels. During the time frame that DISH satellite/Apollo Group had us blacked out I learned quickly that no one was better, more trustworthy than Tom Terry/Brian Shields. Love them and the morning crew #teamnosleep ❤️💙🧡💚

Just think the opposite. You would think with today’s radars and satellites that it would be relatively easy to predict the weather compared to a hundred years ago. Well apparently not so much according to channel 9 weather. If it says it’s going to be no rain, pack your umbrella! If it says 100% rain, pack some sun tan xpf 100. Follow these general rules and the program seems to work great.

Florida’s Centerpiece. One-thousand miles north of Central Florida the weather pattern is substantially different. After 35 years of living in Central Florida, I can testify you need to be aware of the weather. Florida is the lightning capital of the world and can be most vulnerable during hurricane season. Even so, Central Florida (as I like to think of it) is like when a bowling ball first strikes the number one pin on a bowling alley. The noise of pins flying through the air sticking each other, sounds exactly like the East coast ocean breezes crashing full force with the West coast breezes causing violent thunderstorms. And, it all happens right here over Central Florida. This is why I have the Weather app from Central Florida’s news leader WFTV on my iPhone. One ‘click’ and you become aware of your surroundings instantly. Thanks to Tom Terry, and the Channel 9 weather team, I confidently rate WFTV weather app with the highest rating of five stars. What’s going on??. Everytime I hit live news now it’s showing me 3-4 day old news never did this before we don’t need past weather we need updated weather

Excellent. Not sure about the negative reviews. I live in central Florida and I’m outdoors a lot. I rely on the lighting and rain alerts. On iOS, this app has never disappointed. Keep up the great work. A widget would be great by the way!

Radar issues. I love the app when it works. Most of the time the app works except for the radar. It can be raining out and when I call up the radar, there is nothing on the screen or some times the radar blinks on & off. I have run all updates for my phone and the app. If they can fix the radar issue, it will be great.

A little bit of a downgrade.... It's really nice to update for speed & optics, but not sure I'm feeling the new update... Would love to see opening weather graphics with only the colorful pictures, along with wind & humidity like most news weather apps display. Leave out the huge weather man pic on front. Put him on the bottom of the page, & leave the section for displaying weather, for the weather. Also it would be extra nice if most weather apps could display the hourly temps in a horizontal scroll, to save space & improve speed of scrolling. Otherwise, app is very good!

Trouble with Radar. I’ve been having trouble with your radar not working right.

Please fix this app. This app has possibilities to be a good app but it needs some fixing. It freezes in the middle of the live stream, which it did not do in the past. One time I tried it and it would not go to the live stream during the time it should work. I had to go out and come back in for it to work. But, by the time you go out and come back in, weather is usually over. I am thinking of changing apps if it does not get fixed.

Weather app by channel 9. The old system was much easier to follow. It just doesn’t jump out at you and give you the info you need. I really dislike it and gave a 1 star rating.

Bad!!. I have to close and open the app for it to work! There’s a tornado warning now and it’s not even showing on the app!

Pin point way off.. I’ve tried to save my home location and the pin point is way off. Every time I try to move the pin it only moves once and I can’t move it again. Every time I touch it it disappears and goes back to the original location. It’s very frustrating that I can’t pinpoint a location for accurate weather notifications such as lightening warnings. Please fix.

Frustrating. The ads interfere with everything, hate it!

Weather App. App worked a couple times, but now does not connect. I keep getting a system error. Deleted app and reinstalled it and same thing happened. Worked a couple times and then same error message. I give up.

WFTV weather app. I don’t like the change at all. The video won’t stop and I don’t want to hear it. It removed all my cities - it’s ridiculous how you get to radar. Put it back the way it was.

Best Station Ever. This is the best station to get out standing information.

9 weather. First station to send warning to my phone. I like that. Warnings are accurate

Data usage. Why does this app use so much data? It uses more than every app put together So far sitting at 19 gb Facebook is at 2 I love the app But data usage is a lot Is there a way to cut it in half?

GREAT APP! Very, very USEFUL!. I constantly use the Live Interactive Radar. My son rides his bike to and from work unless it is raining. I use the radar to know when he will need a ride. I also use it to know when I can let my neighbors dog in and out a couple of times a day while she is away at work. I don't want to leave that sweet baby out in the rain. I use most of the other functions as well and they all work seamlessly. I would highly recommend Channel 9 Weather App to any one. I don't know what I ever did without it!! CA

Not loading. It ask if I want my location and notifications turned on and that’s it Just stops at the loading screen

Horrible update. I just went to look for tomorrow’s weather and found that the app I was used to and found to be really easy to use and informative has changed beyond all recognition. It’s the wrong way round and asked me a whole bunch of annoying questions to begin with which no doubt have changed the way I got the weather warnings I need. Finally I get to video which I don’t want and confusion. You just lost me.

Unhappy. Not compatible with my iPad. Now what do I do. I have direct tv & every time it rains I loose the tv, so I rely on my iPad especially now that hurricane season is coming.

Locks up my phone. The app used to work but now when I look at the radar my phone locks up. I must do a hard reset to get phone to work again. Old version worked great this version has problems on my iPhone.

Weather report has to much advertising. Go back to old format and simpler reports

Tom makes to much money ( celebrity weather who ever heard of such a thing ). Not helpful at all , I can find out more by looking outside in the afternoon

Not fond of update. New update seems to work ok so far, but I am not liking the interface so much and seems cluttered now. Also what happened to the hourly forecast?!!! I used that as much as the radar and now it's gone. I will be using the weather channel app more than this due to them having hourly forecast and a more current radar. Yalls is 10 minutes behind real time.

Terrible. It takes too long to find the weather The ads are distracting If I wanted to watch the weather report I’d turn on the tv I want the information without having to search for it

Terrible update. I liked the old format. Got the info needed and it worked. New format is awkward and requires more steps to get less information AND it freezes up. I deleted the old app this morning and will download again. If it doesn’t work I’ll delete it permanently. Not happy

No good. Cox Media group has not gotten back online… Going to find an app that works. I do not recommend this app anymore!

Disappointed. Having same experience as others. App for iPad is freezing and won’t go any farther. While Tom Terry is handsome, I would eventually like to see the weather. I’ll try deleting and reloading app. Did like the old version just fine. Same problem on iPhone — freezes on first screen. Update - deleted app and reinstalled on both iPad and iPhone and it now seems to be working.

Prefer the other app. I’m from Louisiana and downloaded your app (the old app) years ago by mistake thinking it was channel 9 in Baton Rouge. I ended up liking it better than our own local weather apps. I used it literally every day, so naturally, I’d rather not have it changed. But I get it, advertisements mean money. They are just annoying because now I have pop ups to deal with. I had two of them take over while trying to figure out how to navigate the new app. I can’t give this a one star because of loyalty to the old app.... and I’m hoping I get used to this new one with time:)

Amazing app! Best I've seen!. Let me be the first to say what a beautifully put together app this is....easy to navigate and the fact that you can watch live news is fantastic......I am sure Tom Terry had a hand in creating this app.....I have been a Tom fan since Hurricane Charley!! So I am giving Tom Terry 5 stars too!!! Well done to Tom and the rest of the innovation team!!

Disappointed. Love channel 9 and the weather crew staff. But this app I don't like. Found it hard to navigate. The last straw for me was when I was checking it for the tropical depression Invest 99 heading our way. There was no update information. The video I watched was from Wednesday, today is Sunday. If I was looking in error, that would account for the navigation confusion of the app. I have deleted it.

It's a sales flyer, not a weather app. Like the other apps from WFTV, they used to be of value. Then they started embedding ads everywhere. App loading is ridiculously slow due to all the ads. Try selecting an action in the app and it loads even more ads, almost like reading a Sunday paper advertisement flyer. Easier, faster and more accurate to use the national weather service, the national hurricane center and a weather radio. Those folks realize disseminating information is more important than generating revenue; WFTV only cares about profits.
