Not the best.... While I am by far not the best with grammar, it seems like every time I read a story on this app, I wonder if the writers even proof read there their work... It just somewhat takes away from the story. On top of this, some of the recent advertisement have a bug where if you try to just navigate through the app or click on a story, they automatically take you to the App Store to download them. This is really annoying and keeps repeating over and over. This app really needs to be better maintained...

Great app.. I love the updates. I can see what I happening in Bakersfield at just about any given time.

Ad Machine. This app used to be great until it began to force close and redirect to candy crush saga in the App Store. Now you can't even read a story without being redirected. Lame.

KERO 23 Mobil. This is the best way for me to keep up with the news. Local and state when I am out of town by just tapping the app. I have tried other local stations but I find ,for me, this is all i need to keep up with the news

Great app updates.. It's easy to locate exactly the articles and information that most interests me. I appreciate the simplicity of your site. Needs adult supervision. Started using the app when the Scrips/DishNetwork dispute started. The morning, on air anchors are great. It did provide some information for a while. However, the online writers, and curators from other sources are HORRIBLE! Too often there is a short, "developing story" article with no follow up. Too often there is an Orangeman Bad article written by someone with stage 4 TDS. Too often there is an article fluffing for some leftist politician with absolutely no counter argument giving the whole story. When the local media management returns to balanced journalism, I'll give it a try. Until then, I'll find other sources. I suggest you do too.

Not the app for news that matter. This app concentrates more on reporting news that have more to do with city council meetings, local re-elections, community rallies and other not-very interesting or important news. As a Delano resident it is very sad to see that Fresno ABC 30 app is far better at reporting NEWS THAT MATTER. Also, the channel 17 KGET app is more insightful. This app takes a lazy approach to its news. Additionally, much of the news is old news and updates on news are slow or last amongst other available apps. One star for nice looks. But looks are rather deceiving in this case.

Cmc4brad. I am looking for an app that not only covers local news stories, but also gives you developments within Bakersfield like the local section of the newspaper. Would like to read about new businesses coming to Bakersfield and when they'll open here. Or local businesses closing, relocating or expanding. So far, this app has current news which I love. Make it a Bakersfield news and local business app : )

Best Kern County News App!. This is amazing! I love how easy it is to use and how you can immediately contact the station with a phone call, pictures or a video! It's great! Best news coverage of all the TV stations, I love ABC 23!

They ruined the fight for me. I didn't get to see the fight with McGregor and when I got home to see it and looked up at my phone because of a different notification they announced who won with a push notification. I didn't want the score spoiled and they ruined it for me. This app is gone from my phone. On the app I only wanted breaking news and weather notifications. Nothing to do with sports and they still sent a sport notification. This app is dead to me

Local news easy to get. I like this app because I can quickly access local news.

Keeps me informed. I can check the app during the day and am up to date on current affairs. It is handy and informative. I can also check the weather and see if there is a storm and where it is going. Great convenience!

So happy they updated the app!. Finally a search function! Now I can find the stories I want!

Best news app on my phone! Which is saying something. Nothing better than a local news app that updates me immediately on the traffic situation. Before I can even get frustrate with waiting, push notifications tell me exactly what's going on and why I'm stopped. The app is so easy to navigate and so easy to get information. Great resource for local news.. I appreciate the reports especially of local news. If there is anything going on, it lets me know so I can avoid an area or take precautions. I find it most helpful!

Bako's Best News App. This is an awesome app. The live streaming works great , and the coverage of local and national news is the best. Also their push notifications are super relevant. Love this app!

Used to be great!!. 1 STAR!! Put 5 so it will be seen. This app is useless now. Full of ads and spam!! News isn't in order either. This app was used daily before it updated to this crap. Wtg channel 23. You officially lost my interest!! Channel 17 here I come.

Poorly researched news reporting. Deleting this app due to the reporting is not accurate or objective. They have used a lot of subjective reporting without researching the details. I will delete this app and get NBCs instead. Hopefully true journalism is still alive somewhere in this town.

Good app too have.. Like the title says “ Good app too have “ like the traffic notifications and how each one is constantly updated till it’s cleared up. However when letting the public know too take another route/way be more specific name a route/way some folks sure could use the extra heads up. The weather notification is good as well especially living up here on the mountain. I’ve had this app for a few years now and never had any problems. I don’t anticipate having any issues in the future. Other than the pop up adds.

Best news app in Kern County!. I love the breaking news alerts, so even when I'm far away from my TV and not even looking at the Internet, I get the info before all my friends sent right to my phone! The HD video is really great and the app is fast and easy to use. I highly recommend it!

Can't zoom in on pictures. Some posts like maps or help us identify this person type of posts have pictures which you can't zoom in to take a closer look. 17 news app does allow you to zoom in. 👍🏼

Cannot Read Stories!. Up until recently this was one of my favorite local news apps.. But now you can barely start a story before you are whisked off to the app store to buy clash of the clans or candy crush.. Bring back the news apps that just tell the news.. If I wanted commercials I would watch it when it originally aired..

Worst news app around. Latest update has pop up ads destroying what was already a weak and poorly updated news app to now useless..

Great news app. One of the best news apps I've used. Fast swipes, great fonts- and easy access to video... Able to play directly in the story. There is an easy to navigate sidebar menu that allows you to see all sections and easily find news stories. My favorite app for news in Bakersfield!

Terrible. The format is terrible, news updates are slow and and too many of the stories are written like a high school essay. Repeating lines or paragraphs, spelling errors and punctuation errors are rampant.

Good news. Notifications work really good in this app

23 ABC News alerts and the app. I love the ABC23 alerts coming to my phone, especially since I work in Bakersfield now. I live in the neighboring mountain community and as the crime rate up there is much slower and we are much safer, I worry working down here. ABC 23 gives me peace of mind with their alerts, as I can go right into my app and check it so I know where not to be. Thank you ABC 23!
