THE best way to prepare for the G1. If you’re reading this, let me tell you how to prepare for the G1. Step 1 - Get the MTO handbook and read through it EXACTLY once, to get your brain oriented towards the content. Do not cram. Do not re-read. Do not try to memorise anything. Just read it and put it away. Step 2 - Get this app and do EVERYTHING the app tells you to do in the recommended order. Do everything in the “Easy” section, then do everything in the “Hard” section, then do everything in the “Hardest” section. Then do the three exams in the exam simulator section. I guarantee you the actual test will be a piece of cake if you do this. You will breeze through it. Excellent app. Cannot recommend it enough. I scored 100% on the test. Didn’t miss a single question.

Passed my G1 test on first attempt. I took the G1 test today and I passed at my very first attempt. The G1 app paid version made it easy for me as the question were so similar. I scored 19 out of 20 questions in the first part and 20 out of 20 in the second part of the test. I finished within 12 mins and this is because I had studied the exam stimulation part with the App. This app is super helpful and I will recommend it to anyone who wants to write the test and get it over with. Just Practice the questions and you are on your way to victory. All d best

Passed the G1 test with ONLY THIS APP. I've just passed my G1 test (Jan 2020). I didn't touch the MTO handbook or studied any other material. I've got 5 wrong answers on the first part of the test (6 mistakes allowed) and only one on the second part of the test. Btw, I used the free version. Maybe I would get a higher score if I used the paid version. Anyway, I recommend this app and passed my G1 on the first try only using it.

Love it!!!. I absolutely loved this app. I payed for the premium package but now it’s telling me that I have to pay to do the exam simulator. I already payed for the premium package tho!!! Update: so I believe that it was simply just a glitch because I opened the app hours later to attempt to restore my purchase but I ended up not needing to do so because when I went to the exam simulator, it let me! I am deeply sorry for the initially harsh review. I was extremely frustrated as I have been waiting to get my G1 for a long time now and I had already payed for the premium package. I went in to write the G1 test today and I passed with flying colours thanks to this app. By far, easily the best g1 app on the App Store.

Rather unsatisfactory. It will cover the basics but afterwards you need to pay for anything at all. I understand that app developing companies need to make money, but it is not a great study tool if you need to pay to pass. There are other ways to study and I’d recommend finding some.

Great App. The App is Awesome it asks you everything you need to know first time I used the app I got 80% then just kept trying over and over again and I got 100% great way to learn

Review. If you don’t get premium which is 30 dollars this app will not get you to learn everything. I will not be spending THIRTY DOLLARS on this app on top of the 100$ I have to spend on taking the test.

PASSED 0 Questions wrong. Seriously this was the best! And so worth paying for 1 month. I studied all the questions gradually for a few weeks. Then set a date and committed to getting it done. Studied the hardest questions (the 290 questions) the night before and then re studied that test when I was waiting in line for 2 hours. I was so nervous bc I failed when I last took it in 2017 but honestly it was sooo much easier than I expected thanks to this app. It helped prepare me so much. Trick is to also make sure you really understand the content and make sure you review your “challenge bank” wrong answer questions. Then re start the tests until you get a mark you are happy with.

Won’t let me take the next practice test!. By far the stupidest g1 practice test app. At first, I really liked it. Then, on day 3, after giving my practice test 2, it just won’t let me take practice test 3 and the following ones coz it thinks the probability that I’ll pass is 20% so it won’t let me take any of the further practice tests. I don’t know how the hell this is rated 4.7. This is a joke!

Good practice for G1. Good quizzes for G1 I just wish that there wasn’t really a premium for the quizzes when I won’t be using the app daily after taking the test.

Was helpful till it asked me for money. Can only do 4 tests because it says you can’t continue unless you pay them big shocker

Helped me pass my exam!. I strongly recommend G1 Genie. Before using this app, even after reading the handbook, I failed my exam. After a week of using G1 Genie I was confident enough to do the retest and passed with no wrong answers!

Very useful tool. I didn’t read the Driver’s handbook at first, I did about as many practice test as you can possibly do and learnt mostly from the mistakes (online tests always show you the right answer, so I would take notes) and I would always pass with at least 80% on the rules of the road section, which is the harder section. So I decided to read the book (read the whole book in 2 days in between chores) and although the online tests help you so incredibly much, I would strongly suggest you use them as a tool and not a replacement for the book. Although some of the questions are extremely similar, the wording changes a bit, so if you memorize by the wording instead of the actual content then you’ll probably fail. The whole thing took me 3 days (I started doing the online tests and studying on a Tuesday and took the written test the Thursday of the same week) I thought I was rushing into it but I’ve been under a lot of pressure to get it done so I said screw it, lets get it done with. There was 3 other teenagers taking the test beside me, they all failed (two of them failed twice while I was there) I’m 30y/o and believe it or not, I always had more pressing things to do than to worry about getting my licence. I will bus/bike/walk everywhere so it wasn’t a necessity either. But recently the “mean girls” in my circle where constantly mocking me and trying to make themselves feel better by putting me down for not having a licence. That discouraged me a bit and felt like maybe I wouldn’t even pass the written test...for some reason. But honestly, thanks to this apps and online tests, and reading the book I was able to pass on my first try

I’m a little older and let my license expire and have to do my G1 again.. Super happy i decided to check this app out. I had no idea about the demerit system and points that are added. Consequences can be very expensive. I more than likely would have failed the exam without this App. ( Thanks Bill )

Passed first try. Passed first try, however it is worth mentioning that some of the questions are worded differently and this app teaches you the right answer, not the exact wording

$33 charged for single day use!!! 🙀. I passed my G1 knowledge tests. This app was good, but I learned most of the information from YouTube and free website. However, I felt unease about it. This app was helpful, but the price of $33 was totally unreasonable for a single day use. . I wished that you charged less than $5-7 for single day use, that would have been much appreciated.

Passed first time! 95%. Although they did recommend reading the book first, I’m not a reading learner and avoided the book in the first place, but just as a precaution I’d use the book too. But, this app still helped me. The questions are pretty much worded the same (but always read the question over and over in the actual exam) and there were only a couple of questions that weren’t on here, which is why I’d recommend reading the book. Apart from that, this app helped me as an interactive learner. One tip is to keep doing each set over and over until you get 100% on all of them, then move onto the exam simulation. This helps make sure you know every single question cause you never know what you’ll get on the actual G1. Premium pack questions weren’t on my exam, but it’s a different exam for everyone. Better safe than sorry. Loved it!

I PASSED!!!. I don’t normally go out of my way to write good reviews lol but I had to for this app because I PASSED because of this app! Questions were word for word in the test. I missed 3 questions just because I was starting to sweat and couldn’t remember if it was 30, 60 or 90 days for a suspension for something and some other similar questions, but those questions were on the app as well. I passed 20/20 for the road signs! I didn’t bother using the book at all! I will definitely recommend this app to anyone who’s looking to get their g1 license. Thank you!!!

Developers why?. This new update is really dumb and annoying. I don’t understand why you need pay NOW, before it was free this stupid to me.

It’s trash. A 30 second add after EVERY QUESTION turning a 20 min test into a 3 day study! It’s garbage the developers don’t care about you passing they wanna scuz you into paying! Like even an add ever 3-4 videos wouldn’t be as bad, than they “reward” you with an add skip to incentivize you into paying premium! It’s a CASH GRAB just go buy the g1 book this app was designed by greed HUCKSTERS! 😡

Not Practical, wrong questions. As a DriveTest employee I get teens coming in unable to pass their exams the first time because of they rely on this app. The questions aren’t word for word and actually some of the questions aren’t even on there so they study the wrong material. It’s a waste of their money to retest and the developer is making it more difficult for the users to pass their exam. Don’t use this app, just buy a book and study; it’s more accurate and less time consuming.

Took my money has no memory of subscription. This is ridiculous I paid for full access literally two days ago and because I offloaded them app to create some space in my phone when it was time to reload it so I can go back to studying it said that I don’t have access anymore so I’m guessing whoever made this app didn’t include it to have memory that a person subscribed for full access? Waste of money I just paid 30 plus dollars for one day!

Helped, but not 100% reliable. I bought the premium version of the app, which I recommend highly if you are studying last minute. However buy the official drivers guide and read the whole thing atleast once, there is necessary info that’s on the test in there. Relying on this app alone will not garuntee you a pass. - well it might when in comes to the road signs, but definitely not the rules of the road. Took the test today, passed, but just barely on the the rules of the road as I relied too much on this app and only skimmed the book, it’s a great app, but use it with the right mentality.

Excellent App. I used the app, along with the Driver’s Handbook, and passed my G1 with only one mistake! The practice tests were almost identical to the questions on my G1 exam. I would highly recommend the app…but only if you pay the subscription fee lol but it was worth the $29.99!

Helped me pass my g1 with a 90% and 95%. There are many apps that help you with your g1- trust me, I bought four of them. However, this one will teach you the most about what you need to know. In my case, the test was very similarly worded to the questions on the app, so I would highly recommend that you get this one.

Some suggestions. I loved the app, helped me pass my test on the first time. Comfortable to use. I do think that it could be a great idea to make this app available in other languages. The test itself is available to be taken in like 15 languages I think, so in my opinion the app should accommodate that and should be available in the same languages that the test is available in.

5 stars. I passed first try with a 96% highly recommended, it taught me everything I needed to know and more that wasn’t on the test.

After so long, I passed!. I’m very grateful for this app, it’s very responsive and gives really great questions and tests alongside explaination for the answers and hints. And thank goodness no ADS! I managed to study a full week with this app using its premium subscription, printed out the cheat sheets to study and passed first try! I wish you didn’t have to pay to get the all of the tests and unlock the cheat sheets, but it was helpful regardless so thank you

All Questions Covered. Literally all of the questions here, came for the test screening. The app has more challenging questions which make the actual test way easier to answer. Passed in one go!

Pass on the 1st try with this app. Rather than buying the MTO handbook, I decided to download this app. I recommend reading the handbook online casually and not be bugged with cramming all the limits, fines, and points. After practicing with the free tests, I recommend purchasing this app. I practiced all the tests from easy to hard to hardest and then all the marathons and then the final exam simulator. I took the knowledge test today, 7th March and passed with only two questions wrong on my first attempt. Very pleased with the results. Thanks for putting together a great app. I’d like to add that on the actual exam, when you get a question wrong, it actually lets you know what the correct answer was. Also, it does not stop until you’ve attempted all the 20 questions in each part. Good luck to everyone else out there.

Tried to cancel my subscription. I've been trying to cancel my subscription and wasn't allowed to do so. You buy the app premium, and they say that is only one time that they will charge you, but they charged me every month now.
