Phone app chaotic. After already paying for baggage when I bought my tickets initially, the app only presented options to purchase more bags when trying to check-in and get boarding passes. So, now I think I have paid for too much baggage! This needs to be fixed!!!

Terrible customer service. As a college student I will pay more for a flight than deal with Ryanair. The airline makes you pay for a refund form, which you aren’t guaranteed to get that money back. Do not use this airline because of the atrocious customer service.

Upset Customer. Absolutely horrible airline/service. I tried checking in on my phone two days before and then 1 day before and it gave me the same message saying that I had to print the boarding pass at the airport. So I went to the airport to print it and they said it cost €55 to print it. That makes no sense because they didn’t say anything about a fee online. Therefore, I explained this to the manager at Nice Airport and he was so rude to me and said I had 1 minute to pay because he was shutting down the boarding process. So I ran through security to my gate, only to find out that the boarding process has not even began and our flight (without prior knowledge) was delayed. I am sitting here waiting for the plane (FR 1959) to leave Nice and arrive in Dublin. However it is 9:35 (the time the plane is supposed to leave) and we haven’t gotten any word when we might leave. I am disappointed in the flight, the airline, and the staff. The manager at Nice was so rude to me and I never want to fly RyanAir again.

No mobile boarding pass. I have a US passport valid everywhere Ryanair flies. Unfortunately, the app sees it as a foreign passport so it won’t show a mobile boarding pass. Sometimes I’m told to get a visa check for my US passport like I can’t travel to Europe and have to wait in the long check in line which inconveniences all customers. Sometimes I’m told to get it checked at the gate since they always check there and I’m making the check in line longer for all. Just give me a mobile boarding pass.

Legal extortion. Watch out for all the fees. Silly me! I thought I could just check in like I had for every flight I‘d taken for 40 years. NOPE! Not with Ryan air. You CAN check in at the gate but they charge you 55 Euro to print a 2 cent boarding pass. So check in using the app unless you want to pay for legalized extortion. P.S. Ryan air does tell you about the fees, but it’s in the fine print!

Checkin requires hours of research and collect call to their call center. I travel 150k miles per year. Ryanair has the most difficult app of all the airlines I’ve ever used. Checkin failed for me and it took hours to troubleshoot what was an error on their end. They still charged me for having to talk to their rep to fix a problem on their end. Lost hours of time on my vacation as well. Use them as a worst case scenario (which is what I did since it was the only flight that day to my destination).

One of the worst apps to use for flights. I would like everyone to know before using this app that every single step along the way of getting tickets (to even cancelling/changing times because they messed up my flight time) has been a complete failure on Ryanair’s side of things, and I am utterly disappointed and frustrated that no matter what flight I use with them, nothing ever works. I went through Skyscanner to get a connecting flight from Menorca to Barcelona and then from Barcelona to Sevilla, and one would think you would need the later flight to be from Barcelona to Sevilla, but no, despite the fact that I triple checked the time of the first flight, Ryanair decided with their bountiful knowledge and wisdom and common sense to schedule the “first” flight several hours after the second. How does this work? Not sure! Ask Ryanair. If I could get a refund, I would. Until then, I’ll warn you all to never use this awful app.

You are not a honest company. Made me pay for a check in at the counter even though I had not access to a computer for 2 days because I was traveling and I do not use computer without help. Also, I am now checking in online to avoid another scam of yours and in the process I am lead to believe that I have not yet paid for a check in bag when in reality it’s included in my ticket. You just forcing people to pay extra for something already paid. You should be more honest and not make believers! Your prices seem lower but at the end of the day they’re not. Shame on you. You stole 70€ from me

Very useful App!. We have never had an issue with flights with RyanAir and always use them because their awesome prices. Many many flights and not a single inconvenience so far... About the app... -there are sometimes I can’t add the boarding passes to my phone wallet. -As well there are sometimes that prices in the app are different if I compare in the computer. -and it doesn’t give you the option to “take you anywhere” for the “budget” or price you would like, which the computer gives you But overall... it’s a very handy app. Truly like and use it a lot.

Payment failures, timeouts, duplicate bookings. Tried to make one booking, payment failed (or so it said). Attempted with a different card, received a timeout error, forced to start over. On second attempt, payment went through, but then a while later I receive an alert that I have a duplicate booking and was charged twice. Can’t get in touch with anyone, no option to queue on phone or chat. Hopeless. Probably have to call the credit card to contest the charge because Ryanair support and app are so useless. Terrible company, terrible app

We had to pay 190€ because your app doesn’t work.. We don’t really like this app. We bough an infant with seat ticket for my baby, and when doing the checking on the app for the baby the app hasn’t allow it. As when we where putting the date it said it had to be older than two years old. My baby is 1.5 So we couldn’t finalized the check in. When we arrived to the airport instead of helping us, they charged us for each boarding pass. And at the Ryanair airport desk told us that they understood but couldn’t help. And they accepted that the app had an error and teach us a trick to make the check in to “trick” the app and be able to check in. But we have to loose the seat that we paid in order to be able to check in though the app. Terrible. Now we have to submit a claim.

App is great. Waiting for actual experience. Like your Ryan Air online App— simple and effective. I am flying first time tomorrow. Would love to write a blog about my flying experience Once I fly I am sure you will not let me down

Help me. I am a first time customer. My receipt 3 months ago has line item charge for carry on and small bag. Why create a sense of uncertainty by offering charges for same baggage at check in time. I suggest getting smarter about previous related purchase and make effort to assess if additional service & charge is warranted exercise.

Constant error messages and no update on flight. Trying to book a flight returns constant error message with no information to help figure out the problem. My flight last night was delayed while the app sent me a welcome message to my destination while still waiting for my flight in origination city.

The no people process. We checked in smoothly with no problems. I did long for a person I could ask or double check with but I’m 66 and I’m learning the new ways. The seats were super upright but so are all flights these days. The on flight staff was professional and attentive. I did have the sense that all staff were very sharp. Thanks.

Worst low fare in Europe. The only airline that is flawlessly late, unapologetic, internally disorganized, and PROUD of making up excuses not to reimburse. My flight was over two hours delayed because they failed to have staff on site. As a result, I missed my connecting Ryanair flight and was not only fined upon buying that alternate ticket but I was also NEVER reimbursed or contacted back from Customer service (more like, lack thereof). It’s worth paying a little more for a different airline! Only use when absolutely necessary cause they do fly into convenient airports.

Awful for booking. Say what you will about the airline—their app design is just dreadful. The frequency with which the app does not find a booking automatically and the slowness of the Retrieve Booking feature are disappointing at best. However, the shortcomings that is most egregious is the fragility of the booking flow! Should the user—and prospective customer—have the temerity to switch apps for a few seconds to verify their plans comport with something in an e-mail or calendar, the booking flow is aborted, forcing the user to start over from zero. Note that this is not a question of five minutes inactivity, or even three: thirty seconds is all it takes. That such an obvious use case is ignored is…a shame. (Using the Sign-in with Apple feature is another disaster, but I shall not further digress here…) Running an airline is hard, but designing a decent booking app is…well, not nearly as hard. Software design isn’t easy, but surely Ryanair could do better if they put forth a modicum of effort.

Check the places the airplanes arrive and bags included you can lose money. They can say “Paris” but it’s an airport 60 km away! You lose all your money too! Also they say no bags are included and when you check in you have two bags included one small one and one of 10kg, you can get confused and buy another bag and lose that money too! I lost in total 130 Euros and Teo flights that would be useless as this takes me super far (I know I should have checked the arriving and departure so it’s not completely their responsibility despite they use the marketing like this for tourists that are not aware like me! I place 2 stars instead of 1 cause the checkin and app are good to use and easy! However I will not chose this tricky airline again use Vueling or Transavia! I gues Raynair makes money fooling unaware tourists. Absolutely no reimbursement of anything CAREFUL

Do not rely on this app for your check-in. The app may even be brilliant, but if you are out traveling and you are met with a screen saying the app must be updated... you may be in trouble. Unless you update the app is blocked, and you wish you traveled with another airline. For people on the road this is bad, unless they can get WiFi somewhere. The problem is not the app per se, but the choice of blocking the old app to force you to upgrade.

The app makes everything easier!!. I remember when we had to print our tickets and I’d have to run around the city looking for a printer. The app is so much easier and I love the check in process online. Ryanair is definitely up to speed when it comes to tech 💯

Poor. Was trying to check in ahead of time but it would only give me the option to select a luggage that is up-charged, even though the receipt had already said I paid for my luggage. Was charged an extra $124 because I didn’t “check in” ahead of time. Then was told by the check in counter that both of my bags were okay in size, only to have to pay an additional 48€ at the gate because my bag was “over sized”. Also, the representative at the gate stated that I need to make my bag smaller and when I said I could not she said “I don’t feel like arguing right now”. Terrible service ):

Not working properly. Misguided Unfair. Rip off airline. And the app is set up to charge you more and more money rather than give you useful accurate information or allow you to complete selection or payment procedures. The app has you going around and around trying to purchase reasonable offered selections but you’re never aloud to get complete the transaction. Rather, when you choose an option (like 6 or 10 euro to check a carry on bag) the app asks you to log in again. When you do log in, it’s as if you didn’t make a choice again. And a 20 Euro option for 10 kilo bag is all you are offered. And the like.

UNNECESSARY CHARGE FOR CHECK-IN&BOARDING PASS. It was very inconvenient for us to pay extra just for check-in/boarding pass. We showed up for check-in on time, but we were surprised when RyanAir staff told us that we actually had to pay for boarding pass because we had not checked in online. This is a very disappointing policy. We already paid for the plane ticket; why do we have to pay more for check in? There was no information provided to us that online check-in is free and on-the-counter check-in has a fee. We had to pay €55 per passenger (we were 3). Had we known about this policy, we should have done it online. This is very unreasonable.

Easy booking. The flight was fast and easy to book. It’s was my fault that i didn’t look at the time. I scheduled my flight too early. I paid for insurance Incase i needed to cancel or move it. I noticed this the next day and have been trying to reach customer service ever since. It’s been 2 weeks since then and i still haven’t been able to reach anybody. The customer service is very poor. Just be careful when you book and double check everything before you submit your payment.

App bugs. My daughter checked everyone in and got all of out boarding passes. When I logged in to the app it didn’t recognize I was checked in already. When I clicked the button to check in again, it said something went wrong. Still can’t get my boarding pass from the app but luckily my daughter has it.

Over charged. I was not able to check in online the night before the flight because the Ryanair app didn’t allow me to enter my US passport number (don’t know why?) hoping to see the Ryanair agent at the kiosks before the flight to help me. But they charged me $55 British pound for each person to check in at the kiosk!!! The agent keeps telling me to check in online but the app still didn’t let me do that, I had to pay $110 B pounds for my daughter and myself!!! What’s a steal !!!!!!

The most atrocious airline out there!. Terrible airline!!! They didn’t send a check in email for the return flight, close online checkin two hours before the flight, and then charge me a 55 Euro fee for printing my boarding pass at the airport. I will never fly with them again.

Online problems. I bought 3 tickets thru eSky on April 7. Got a purchase no. but no confirmation ever came. Credit card was charged. Realized the problem last night the Ryan Air site did not recognize my number, so I bought the tickets again - will cancel the first charge later. Using the website this morning was difficult. Went round and round in circles. Maybe MacBooks are not well supported. Tried to check in but was asked all the already chosen options all over again. Couldn’t check in. Got not email or confirmation. Failed twice. Finally checked in on the Ryan Air app. What a lot of hassle.

Mrs.. Online check in process is not good. It’s very difficult and time consuming. Too many steps. It also does not allow me to check my children in online which I do not understand as they are paid passengers that have a requirement to provide COVID documentation etc as part of ability to board. This is a very frustrating process.

The good & the bad. We use Ryanair several times per year due to my LOVE of discount travel. With the exception of one REALY inappropriate attendant, the others have all been absolutely lovely. Almost 3 years ago, I was forced to pay approximately $40-$60 for a checked bag due to it being 2 kilos over the weight limit, not a problem. Ryanair lost that bag on a flight between Barcelona & Malaga. After spending hours adding the lost items to their website (twice) and spending approximately$70+ every time I mailed correspondence to Ryanair, they still have not reimbursed me for my belongings. It still makes me angry every time I open their app.

App doesn’t show flight info. This app doesn’t show or notify about boarding gates or times, or any kind of useful information really, so most passengers in the boarding queue seem stressed out and lost, hopelessly waiting to board a plane that hasn’t even landed yet. After finding out at the queue that our flight was delayed, we couldn’t even relax at the bar with confidence because the app doesn’t update departure times. Also, other airline apps immediately show your upcoming boarding passes after logging in. In this one, you still need a reservation number to find boarding passes, even if the tickets were purchased using the same account.

App won’t provide boarding pass. The app won’t provide a boarding pass as promised. It requires that one be physically printed for non eu residents, then directs you to present documents at luggage check despite non checked bags. Travelers don’t have printers with them. They charge £50 to check in at airport and £25 to provide “replacement boarding pass.” Either way, they require the boarding pass to be provided at passport/bag check, so why does app prevent it, but provides it IF you have a printer. Fortunately I screen grabbed the “print” version and they didn’t charge me extra.

The site should be easier to navigate. The site can be a bit difficult. The app does work better then going online. I still can’t figure out how to change my seat to my husband’s seat (since he will not be able to go and an adult has to sit next to my 3 yr old). And being charged for every little thing is obsessive, but overall the price to fly round trip to many different countries is very affordable.

Bad airline, bad app. Like everything else about Ryanair, this app is designed to frustrate and obscure people out of their money. It will not update information on delayed flights, it doesn't provide the boarding passes upon logging in, but uneccessarily requires further entry of a booking number, it would be just as useful to write the information about your flight Ona piece of paper. And yet, Ryanair will charge 100 quid if you don't have this app for your boarding pass, and want them to print t it for you as any other airline would do. Beware.

Pathetic service. Never on time and the app never shows any updates regarding delays or any other as a matter of fact. What is a seemingly cheap air fare, you surely pay above others once you include baggage costs and the other crap shoved down your throat through the app. More importantly one has to price in the unrealiable flight times, being late on average about 40min, and up to few hours when employees strike across countries. Feel bad for people working for this company.

Just low-cost. If you want cheap flight - let’s go. There is annoying random seats though, when I book with someone I prefer to seat together - no matter where, but together. It would make sense to charge for an extra leg space seats or something - but not to separate people who travel together when there are free seats. Last flights we simply swap seats or come to each other.

App changed birth date. I had entered a date of birth into my documents on my own section of the app and when I went to check in it automatically added a day so I had to manually add travel document, could easily have been a way of stopping me getting that flight

Worst airline ever. Beware of all the hidden fees. Their website is terrible! Your information will get changed and you will be charged 20 times what you paid for your ticket to fix it. Check your details ten times while booking or checking in or be prepared to pay.

Great Opportunities!. I love Ryanair due to the cheap flights and ease of seeing what’s available on the app. I’ve seen a lot of Europe for a low price thanks to this airline. You do get what you pay for as services and such are bare bones, but for the price if you expect more you’re being unreasonable. You will probably encounter a lot of sleazy or low brow characters on the flights, just remember what you paid for the ticket lol ;)

Delayed flight. Our flight from London to Scotland was delayed an hour and a half which caused us to miss our car rental reservation because they closed. We had to take Uber an hour away and then an hour back in the morning to pick up our car. It cost us an extra $200. and lots of wasted time on our travels. This was our first time traveling with Ryanair. Hope this is not how all Ryanair flight will be!

The line. We where almost to the front of the line and then one of the attendant opens another line witch put us at the very back and then people where cutting us and the attendant was no where to be found we where very anger and they are a mess with all the lines so beware. But other than that it’s cheap and well worth not spending so much money.

Worst Airline Ever!. Absolutely disgusted with this airline. Firstly, the fairs they advertise are only true if you are only traveling with the cloth on your back. If you have a bag of any kind they will have a way to you. I had a check bag so, pay a little more for that up front, ok fair. Oh, no, no, they make sure that you bag is over wait because over wait limits are lower than any airline in the industry. “Well I just won’t check a back I’ll just take a carry on.” Nope! They will you on that too because they have 10kg (22lbs) limit on that and trust me that is a lot less than you think. I was only flying to from the UK to Ireland and back and by my return trip, between baggage that I supposedly paid extra to have but they still found ways to charge me for and the hidden check in penalty, they had me for ~€120. Oh yeah, and the quality of the planes themselves are the worst thing I have ever seen on an airline ever. Never Again. this airline. them, them in their ear!

Terrible customer service. I have been booking my flights through their app and each time I book my flights, an our or two later they will block my flights stating I bought from a third party and I need to verify my documents. It’s strange considering I purchased the tickets through their own app. I am trying to pay the small fee to verify my documents and the app keeps on rejecting it. I have tried calling customer support multiple times and no luck.

Overbooked flight. Where do I start I booked a ticket day before got confirmation number that was paid . Get to the gate the Ryanair agent tells me when I get to gate they'll Adi gn your seats . My wife and i get to the gate we checking in the agent tells us sorry over booked flights no seats for u .and your wife . He made us wait until all passengers got tying the bus to get to the gate . We spoke to both agents they said sorry we can't do anything bout u . Me and my wife had a wedding to attend that Nite and couldn't miss this flight . No supervised to speak too . She then tells me sir please chill that's when I lost it . She then said she's calling supervisor to try to get us mother flight who walks in 2 police men she lied to us bout supervisor coming . 2 police men greeting us as if were criminals . They escorted us to supervisor which got no where . We had to purchase whole new airline ticket which was for next morning . So now we have no hotel to stay at . They said they'll give us voucher no voucher . They gave us their policy form which they lied it says we don't overbook our flights do what happened to our flights . You took our money made us buy new ticket and promised Rf which I'm sure they lied about that . Horrible customer service no supervisor . Do not fly w Ryanair bunch of crooks ! !

Bad user experience / fees everywhere. Booked a flight, a few hours to boarding, but was unable to get my boarding pass. When you book with a third party booking Company, to get the boarding pass printed, the app throws up a webpage window for you to add extended verification. Ended up in a endless loop. No way to get the boarding pass. When I finally got it to work in a real browser, it was too close to takeoff and I would have to find a Ryan air sales assistant counter and pay a fine. Also Absolutely sinister pricing structure, swiping thru pages of extra optional fees - only booked Ryanair due to the great timing and end airport. Pricing was not important. Rebooked in the SAS app - which is great by the way.

Beware when using Ryanair App. Everything was okay making the initial flight bookings with the App; However, when i tried to check-in on my return flight using the Ryanair App and website they were both down/not working. As i wasn’t able to check-in, I arrived at the airport and needed Ryanair employees to issue my flight ticket, but since I couldn’t check in online they made me pay for my airline tickets again (for the seats I already paid for). As i was with my family and in a foreign country, and it was the only flight back i had to pay. This is also called Criminal Extortion. In spite of my complaints to Ryanair, they didn’t care that their website was down, apparently I needed to take screenshots and find a phone number to call. Either way, beware of using this App. If it’s down or not working Ryanair is happy to extort you for more money. They accepted no responsibility for their site being down. Issue wasn’t my phone either, as i was able to make other payments, uber pickup, etc. without any issues on my phone all that morning/afternoon. Also, I had all the appropriate software updates and whatnot.

Make scams legally is their business mode. Their policies are made for customers to responsible for all issues even their fault. I highly doubt they make those tech glitches on purpose, then they have reason to charge you as fines. $180 tickets when reservation made, $460 is the final bill so far. It might charge me more because It’s a round trip and I haven’t fully the 2nd trip yet. I did everything strictly followed their detections.

(It was) Easy to use and keeps getting better. Update 3.75.1 has rendered the app unusable (iPhone 6 iOS 12.4.4). It stalls and then crashes within 1 minute. I have contacted Ryanair support but nothing seems to have been done. I’m sad because this was a 5 star review but now only 1 as the app just doesn’t work. If they fix it, I’ll update this review. Old review: I have been flying Ryanair for many years. There have been rough times with them in the past (as it is with most airlines), but I have been most impressed with their new direction over the past year or so. This app shows that they are serious about keeping their customers and keeping them happy. It is easy to search, choose, and book a flight using only the app. You can get your boarding passes and keep them on the app or onto Apple's wallet. Checking flight status is quite good, but I'd prefer to have push notifications of when a flight lands or takes off. Otherwise, I have been impressed and content with this app. It doesn't tax the memory of my phone, it is simple, functional, and quite easy to use. Thank you all for keeping this app a top notch app.

Good overall. They should fix the issue with the app reseting itself when you leave to search for document/ID information for the passenger. When you return to the app, you lost all the work done filling in the information requested. If you know the ID number and validation date of each member of the family, then forget my comment…

Credit card exchange rate. Hello, using my laptop it was very frustrating as when I enter my US Amex credit card , the currency exchange rate box opens but I it does not allow me to select or enter anything. And it does not allow me to complete the transaction. I had to make payments using my mobile app instead.

Sneaky buggers?. I only downloaded this app to get a mobile boarding pass. When I click on the boarding pass section, I get a message that tells me: "Hang on! This is not a mobile boarding pass. Please go to our website to print out your boarding pass before traveling." Sneaky buggers! If I hadn't checked now, well before my flight, I would've been stung at the airport for more costs for not having a boarding pass.

Don’t bother if your Non-EU - discrimination. As a non-EU citizen you can’t enter your passport details to progress through check-in. Don't bother with the app if you hold a non-EU passport even though you have a valid ticket and are a European resident. Why bother building an app Ryanair if you can’t service customers?

Which is worse, the airline or the App?. Title says it all

One of the worst apps. I hate when companies force you to download their apps as the only way to access tickets/boarding passes. This company is one of them. But this is one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. Three gate changes and no information in the app at all, only ‘Gate to be advised’.

Pathetic bordering disgraceful. This company has pushed the limits with pushing advertising down your throat. Making the add on and random seats etc all feel like black mail quite frankly. Stick to making Guiness.

Terrible service, delayed flight without explanation. Will never fly with this atrocious airline again. Flight delayed 3 hours with explanation arriving at 1am in the morning. Clunky app and unhelpful ground and aircrew staff. Terrible inflight service and zero value for money.

Can't get boarding pass. I can't get my boarding pass from the ap, it tells me I need to go to the website to do it. I've let customer service know weeks ago and with the new ap it still has the error. EasyJet have a way better ap and the boarding pass shows up in Apple Wallet. Come on Ryanair, sack your ap developers, they are useless.

The App Fails Miserably. I have attempted to book flights and accommodation on the app tonight (Sunday, no support available). There were repeated errors, during which I lost my flight credits, which then could not be redeemed against the flight I was attempting to, and eventually did manage to book. Then when I attempted to book the last remaining room in the hotel I wanted to stay in, again, repeated errors regarding ticking the terms and conditions box, and many misfired attempts to book. Frustrating beyond reasonable tolerance levels. Dreadful.

Bugs in app. App did not process my payment or so I thought. I received an email from Ryanair 4 hours before my departure flight to let me know I had been charged twice for the same flight. This app cost me 76:99 as Ryanair will not refund a duplicate flight after departure. Very confusing

Can’t change flight destinations when making amendment. App has a few things missing that can cost the user money. For example you can’t amend a flights destination if it is a return flight, only the dates. Through the online portal can change the destination. Little things like that just show how dodgy this airline really is. At least they are cheap. But boy are they dodgy. If they were a seat belt, they would be floss. But they would charge you extra to floss with their seat belt.

Confusing (?deliberately) App. When using the app to check in there is a lack of clarity about already purchased luggage and hence tries to push you toward buying more.

Bomb diggity. Hells yeah. This was the bomb doggity yo. 🏄🏼

False information about deadlines. The app falsely claims that checkin closes 30mins prior. In fact the t&c state 20 mins. Hopeless

Garbage. Biggest scam in air travel

Could be better. 1 Star for having an App 1 Star for self-management and automation ability (potential) ... but I travel frequently to areas with poor internet connection and it takes ages to retrieve data (no local storage on the phone), frequently logs me out (interrupted connections) and seems to prioritise downloading advertising and things I don’t want over providing functionality and information.

Too buggy. When entering details for multiple people at checkin, the details entered previously (for example passport nr) change when entering info in next field. This could lead to issues when travelling. Too buggy for important process like checkin.

Can’t use it. Good luck trying to create an account.

Sad. Well I hope the airline is happy with their day yesterday we flew from Rome to Edinburgh, caught a train from Naples at 0550 hrs to Rome paid a taxi extra to rush to airport then found after checking in flight delayed 1 hour but wait for this then stood another hour at gate then sat in plane on tarmac for a further hour and watched the baggage sat outside the plane as the captain announced there were no staff to load it. It gets better we then sat for 10 minuets on the run way as the captain announced that we needed to find another runway as the plane was too heavy. It would be comical if you didn’t have plans or hadn’t only flown to this destination for something like a work reunion for my husband to meet up old friends from 25 years ago , one of which is very ill and special to my husband. As in the end all flights delayed we then waited for our pre booked rental for 1.5 hrs needless to say 5 hours late in total the reunion was finished. No apologies from airline. As we are from Australia we have no need and will never use Ryan air again and would never recommend it. Not cheap and cheerful as refreshments in airport expensive and temp hot bathrooms closed, less than third world countries

They suck. Was charged 55 euro to print a boarding pass, would not recommend Ryan Air to anyone they are a bunch of greedy Morons.

Needs better search methods. I don't like having to choose an airport in London. I can be flexible. I like having 'London (any)' as my search option which most airlines have. This app also needs a fare calendar. When flexible to travel I like to find the cheapest period to fly to the destination.

Too many add-ons. Using fear factors to sell add-ons every step of the way is a terrible customer experience. We really this is a no thrills bus in the air service. You could try to treat your passengers as people and not a credit card

Terrible app full of confusing thing attempts to squeeze more money out of you. I am so unimpressed with Ryan Air on every level. For a simple domestic flight they have really put me through the wringer. Every element of the process is massively over complicated. So anyway I was just trying to check in online for a domestic flight and I had to go through pages and pages or check boxes. I hired a car and wrote off ticket cost. Avoid at all costs. The negative hype is true: Ryan air really are that awful.

Doesn't have real boarding passes. This app is useless because it doesn't show real boarding passes - don't download! If you rely on this app you could be forced to pay 60 euro or 60 pounds for Ryan air to print your boarding pass! After clicking on boarding passes it says I have 2 boarding passes, then after clicking on the boarding passes it shows the message "Hang on! This is not a mobile boarding pass. Please go to our mobile site to print out your boarding pass before travelling". Why have an app that has pretend boarding passes??

Flight to Ibiza. Only going for 2 days to Ibiza and flight was delayed 2 hours, therefore unable to use public transport (arriving after midnight) and shortening my already short trip. Only notified of delay 1 hr before, should be notify passengers at least 3 hrs before and enable them to cancel or change flights free of charge when airline is the cause of any type of delay. No apology from airline or staff for the inconvenience.

Worst airline to ever exist. I had a problem checking in so called the help centre who said just tell them when you’re at the check in registers and they will check you in there. Well, once we arrived we were greeted with a 30 euro fine for not checking in when the online system wouldn’t let us because it’s useless! Seems like a scam! Then to make it worse 20 euros to print the boarding passes because we are Australian so can’t have them e ticket. Not only is that racist it left me seriously questioning their printing device as the staff told me the reason i have to pay for my pass to be printed is that ‘they have to pay for the ink and paper.’ That’s some damn expensive ink.

RUBBISH. What a horrible airline. We went to the check-in desk and they told us we had to check in through the app. You must check in at least 2 hours before boarding or you are charged 55 Euro per person. You enter all your details manually through the app and then it just tells you that ‘this is not a valid boarding pass’ and to print tickets through their website. This app is useless. The lady at the counter then hand wrote our boarding pass which we couldn’t scan at any of the checkpoints. Avoid taking Ryanair if you can.

Good app!. This works very well no hassle checking in etc but still have to print boarding passes.

Even Ryanair think it's rubbish. Having problems booking on website so tried app. Just got "error" with no detail, Ryanair call center said "don't bother with app as it has lots of problems". Mind you they also ruled out Safari and Chrome and recommended Firefox - which also didn't work. But their comments are telling

Disappointed. I am a little disappointed, the day before yesterday when I was using the app for a one way ticket to Madrid and it was €64.00 then as i was trying to continue through to pay it kept kicking me out of the app. Now i have booked the same flight a day later for € 83 something, was this done on purpose?

Rude and unprofessional staff. During my checking at the Vienna airport the was was unprofessional and rude. Completely unhelpful.

Discrimination against non-eu passengers. If you're a non-eu citizen don't bother downloading this app. It doesn't let you download mobile boarding passes for this reason, however it doesn't explain this, or explain that if you're non-eu you need to go online to get a mobile pass. Instead saying that the mobile boarding pass is not available "right now", and so you will end up being told callously that "you'll have to pay €15 to print the pass, that's somehow your fault and there's no way they'll accept any responsibility for this gaping hole in customer communication".

Dodgy. I think Ryanair is mostly a well run business and they offer pretty amazing prices. But I’m constantly disappointed by all their dodgy little tricks. Like they force me to download this app (or print the boarding pass, but who has a printer on holidays). They let me check in online, but you can’t get the boarding pass without the app, which is ridiculous.

No mobile boarding pass. No mobile boarding pass. Might be a non-EU thing, but completly useless for me as this is the main thing I want it for.

Business model is to milk the customer. I would not be surprise if next time I check in there would be a choice to “have air” or “do not have air” while travelling.

It’s great knowing about cancellations. This app is truly awesome, now It has some great updates. There is even some ambiguity about being in the unlucky 1% of flight cancellations and I gather that’s only 700,000 people but heck that’s only 1% but the app is so cool now I can book and have a great app experience and then hope in Ryanair’ lotto land of passenger experiences that I’m not one of the unfortunate 1%. I suppose % sounds nicer than 700,000 passengers being mismanaged with a delete button. I hope the staff in Ryanair are well and healthy as they do a great job under draconian conditions. There’s only one thing missing on this App, a delete but for the M O’L function, that needs to be updated as the M O’L system is so out of date, dysfunctional and needs a fix. So Ryanair staff and app super just M’OL needs replacing.

Can't get my boarding pass without an EU passport.. Meh.

Company issues. I’m sure you all understand where there are cheap flights, there are massive company issues, the staff at Stanstead airport for Ryanair had poor communication. We were passed back and forth from one desk to another and back again. Our flight was canceled, due to weather, understandable yes but we stood in line for 3 hours to book a new flight, the guy who served us told us to come back tomorrow and he will check us in, then he served us that next day so I presented to him saying okay we are here to check in and he started yelling at me saying I told you to do that yesterday but I was unsure of where to go, so I asked about 3 different people and got told 3 different things. I could go on and on, but everyone will have their own opinion so what’s the point. Absolutely disgusted with this airline service.

Boarding passes are now available. I’ve read a ton of reviews about having to print off the boarding pass because the app wouldn’t show them. Well, I decided to have a go anyway and downloaded the app, which for my surprise, contains all my flight info INCLUDING the boarding pass. That’s what I needed. So far so good

War with Ryanair. I appreciate Ryanair low fares, but I despise Ryanair for making me find a printer to print my boarding passes for every flight. I fly all over the world and only Ryanair have this archaic and ridiculous manual print process, no doubt just to generate more revenue, even though they claim some BS visa requirement, which no other airline cares about.

Poor app performance and can’t get boarding pass or even a simple search. I can’t even search my flights anymore or check in for my upcoming flights. Such inconvenience and could costs airport check in. Did delete and downloaded the app again several times..

Tricky. Too many trick questions about baggage.

Worst check in experience. Had a worst experience with this airline as If you are not able to check in online then ready to pay euro 55 for boarding pass and no one will help you at the airport except lying to the customers. They accept their mistake but unable to provide you refund. Never recommend to fly with.

Stupid airline. We had taken 2 hour to purchase 2 ticket and first on 249 euros and second on end up costing us 480 and wouldn’t check us in and was not able to even the person on the counter was not able to do it for us on the app and had to pay 30 euros each absolutely crazy.

Not able to book. I tried 4 different creator cards to pay for booking and nothing is going through . Called Ryanair 6 time each time getting different solution , buy through chrome , incognito mode download app . At the end nothing works . So frustrated with this company

Forced to pay extra with no choice to decline. They require a printed pass, can’t get a mobile pass, and to print one I have to pay to access seats, or wait until the end of my holiday to check in with no place to print my boarding pass. Nothing works Nd you’re constantly pushed to buy extras. Hate this site.

Nearly missed my flight. The gate changed and the app wouldn’t update it. If this small feature is not synced, what’s the point of the app in the first place?

Easy check in. First time user with Ryanair found app and booking a breeze

App does not save flights. Even though the flight shows on the app you have to sign in with the booking code in the email over and over again. Very frustrating.

Like most things Ryanair, it will make you angry. Download the app just to give it a negative review. Ryanair used to be a really good low cost carrier in Europe. Now it is basically just a money gouging scam. Travelling with a partner? That’ll be an extra €8 if you’d like to sit together. Want to take more than a purse on the plane? That’ll be an extra €8. Want to put your boarding pass ON YOUR BLOODY PHONE??? That’ll be an extra €8. With all of the extra charges and irritation, at this point it’s actually worth it to fly with literally almost anyone else. Bye Ryanair, you’re really flushing a once great and usable service right down the toilet.

You need a new IT department. Your web site updates birthdate and passport expiry dates to be the wrong information. I found discussions going a year back complaining about this. It has taken over 1 hour of my time messing around with this. Maybe tell me how you are going to reimburse me for this. Ridiculous. You can give me what ever type of credit you think is appropriate for the mismanagement of this issue. I will then determine based on that credit if I will ever fly Ryan Air again! I have also filed an official complaint. How do you people stay in business.

Terrible Service by Ryanair. I was travelling from Toronto to Barcelona where I tried to check into Ryan Air and the application did not allow me to choose random allocation for seating. I didn’t want to pay for a seat so I waited to get to Barcelona to complete the check-in in person for my flight to Milan. There I discovered that I was being charged 50 euros for not completing my check in. I have not heard of a single company who does this. I will make sure to post this on all social media discouraging people from using this terrible airline!!!!

Check in. Great difficulty using my phone to check in. Kept saying it was sending me an 8 digit code and it never did for 2 days. Tonight it worked.

Are you kidding me!!!!. We were about to do our online check in when a box popped up and said we can’t have an electronic boarding pass which we normally use. As a result we did not complete online checkin because we would do it at the desk like any other airport where they print boarding passes. We arrived at the desk and were forced to pay 55 euro each because we have not had our checkin done. Complete ripoff. Don’t tell me you can’t checkin with a paper and then charge me at the desk. This world is electronic and paper is becoming obsolete. How do you expect travellers without access to a printer produce these documents?! In addition, the airport is advertised as Paris and its 2 hours away by car from Paris. Don’t advertise your airport as something else. That is false advertising. I am throughly disappointed in how your staff handled this and at the end of the day I feel scammed and ripped off.

Less than a budget app.. I hope their airplanes are in better shape than their app. The app is worthless and confusing to use.

Terrible Airline!. Save yourself a lot of grief and take another airline. Took Ryanair airline from Tenerife to Barcelona in August and it was the worst trip I ever had. The seat are quite uncomfortable, no seat pockets, no entertainment system or app and you even have to pay for water on-board. There is no customer service; If you have questions or want to make a change to your itinerary because they made the mistake in the first place, you can call them but they will charge you by the minute to fix their mistakes - assuming you can get someone on the phone. Also, if you don’t print your boarding pass, they will charge an outrageous amount €25 per person plus €50 for checking in at the airport. Our tickets were not cheap either, we paid close to €300 per person. Never again!!!

Confusing. This app is confusing because it is not giving us our boarding pass. Also, we hope not to have to pay additional fees to print our pass.

Never Again!!!. Maybe I am naive because I am Canadian. I can’t believe an airline like this in 2020 is extorting money out of their customers. We booked the tickets five days ahead of departure and tried checking in on their app. Could not do it, it kept asking for more money for seat selection when I kept saying we would take a random seat at no charge. I tried this everyday until departure date. So I was not able to checkin. I now get to the desk and they charge us both 55£ more. What kind of business practise is this. So while at the airport I checkin for the flight back and pay the extra 4£ per seat and they have sent me an email with a receipt for 190.87£. What is this for???!!! I can see how they survive in the short term with this business model but too me eventually they will not be able to recycle all the people. They should be shut down for this practice!!

The App Makes Signing in Very Quick. I explained everything already in the subject. Good app.

The app doesn’t work all the time. I find that the app freezes constantly, you can not trust that you can check in or even view your boarding pass. The app works 50% of the time and it is a real shame. It is best to always print out your boarding pass because you are never guaranteed that the app will even open.

Useless app. Have to go to site anyway.. The app doesn’t allow you to print out your boarding pass, so you have to go to the site for your check in process anyway. Also, when I tried to check in for both flights (there and back) it assumed I could check in for free on my second flight but when I got to the end it made me back all the way to the beginning and I had to recheck-in for my first flight separately.

Tiring. I have tried to check my party in online to no avail. We just flew with Ryan Air one day ago, and now they are saying we can’t check in online for this flight. We need to print our tickets?! Print our tickets? I know what they’re doing; they’re trying to get 55 euros out of each one of us since now we will need to check in at the airport. Very confusing!

Paid twice for seats. When I booked the flight I paid to book also my seat. When I tried to check i could continue without paying again for a seat! Also I tried to chat with an agent who never got back to me.

Why?. Ryanair makes it sound like you don’t have to print your boarding pass if you have the app. NOT TRUE! I’m not sure what advantage there might be in having this app on your phone, but the only thing I hoped to have was denied me. All this confirms to me that Ryanair has lots of sneaky ways of making your flight cost more money. I’m uninstalling this app immediately, and hoping that it didn’t leave a virus behind.

Baggage info unclear. When I bought my ticket, I paid for a checked bag. When I try to check in on the app, it’s encouraging me to purchase a checked bag. It warned that if I bring a second bag to the gate, I will have to pay additional to bring it on board. This is very confusing as my receipt from when I booked clearly says that I purchased checked bags already.

No Boarding Pass - Why?. I am checked in but the message says I am in ‘Restricted’ status. No other information provided. My passport and COVID test results are entered. I am dreading standing in line for hours this afternoon when all my information is entered and current.

Ryanair is a scam. Listen everybody, this is the biggest scam company on heart. They oblige you to pay an additional fee even if you wear underwear and have not read that on their website. Once you add up all the money that they charge you, you would have been better off flying first class with top Companies like emirates. Be mindful of that …

Multiple passengers. App gets a little sticky when trying to check in multiple passengers on same reservation which requires shutting my phone down and signing back in. Other than that it works as expected.

Jay. Pathetic service. Just lost a flight because I was told to use mobile boarding pass and when got to security, app ave error message saying I had to check in again, of which I had already checked in online and personally and deal. When tried to recheck in, app said I was too late to do so. I ran back to check in desk and no employees were there, this loosing flight.

Like a puzzle. It’s like trying to navigate a through a maze where there are additional costs hidden around every corner. Dealing with Ryanair is one of the least pleasant experiences one can have. If you keep your wits about you it is possible to make it to the end without accruing extra costs hence the 3/5

Worst flight experience in 20 years.. This airline has single handed destroyed my faith in the aviation community. From a non-functioning website to a check in fee equivalent to 40% of my flight cost to a completely redundant and useless application to utterly rude and incompetent staff- I’ll never ever touch this airline again. I’ll recommend taking a sloth carriage through Antarctica first. To any one. Forever. Fall off a cliff.

Unnecessary, is it a scam?. On line check in makes sense, but why force people to download this app just to download boarding passes? Other airlines don’t do this. Why is the app so big? It took 10 minutes to download. Is Ryanair trying to get more ridiculous “boarding pass printing fees” from rushed customers? The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

Extremely user unfriendly, full of costly bugs. Ryanair is generally very inventive about scamming its customers but their app takes it to a new level. The app kept failing when I tried to use it to check in for a flight. The I got to the gate and they refused to check me in for free and charged me €165 for check in. Told me that I should have called customer support when the app didn’t work!!!

App does not work. 3 weeks App doesn’t work correctly. I had issues to check in. Please fix it as soon as possible!

Delay checking in. Company ask to get early. Long lines and you get to the counter to check in an they do not let you check in because your plane do not depart within 2 hours. Then, they send you to make again a lane of 30 min wait. What a disaster planning with the airline

Additional Services. There are an abundance of additional services that can be purchased here but not changed or cancelled through the app. That would make it much easier on the user than to have to track down contact information for different sites.

Support. I spent 30 minutes on line with a bot and then a person to try to change a flight. By the time they actually responded we had gone inside the 2 1/2 hour window and said they could not help me. Service support needs improvement.

Double bag charges. I paid to check my bag in advance when booking . I received a notice that had to check in online to avoid a fee in the airport. The app will not allow you to check in without paying for bags, even though I already paid for bags. I had to pay for bags a second time and will need to fight for a refund in the airport. Insane!!!

Great prices… if the app would work.. App doesn’t work and website won’t take payments. Ryan Air is surely losing a ton of money with these technical issues. Would love to purchase cheap flights but, I’ve been forced to look elsewhere after spending hours attempting to get their system to work.

They broke my luggage🧳 and I paid for 2 tickets and 2 check-in luggage and they did not let my fiend to enter the flight but they let others with little bigger carry-on and our friend fainted so they called the police and took her to hospital me and my mom had to stay for another flight and stayed a few days at BGY Airport. I talked with worst costumer services.

Age Discrimination to the passengers. Why passengers younger than 16 years old can’t check in via app??? Really bad. Also I already paid for full size luggage 20kg, when I booked flight, why you ask more money? Are you trying to still my money?

Reserve the same seat. The “reserve the same seat on this flight” function in the app is terrible. I am 195cm tall. I cannot sit in a regular seat and need an exit row seat. Because I made the mistake of using this function, I had the most miserable flight today. If planes are different models and different seat maps, why would the app ask such a question?

Won’t let you book. It declines my payment and then cancels my booking. Used the chat feature, waited, got a representative, and then they just ended the chat without providing any assistance and then I was placed back in queue to wait again. Booked with another airline since it was too much hassle.

Horrible. Unbelievably awful app and checkin process. It took me five tries to finally make progress checking in. Then I’m presented with being nickeled and dimed to pay extra just to sit together, pay for a larger cabin (which is the default choice) and select a bunch of junk food “deals”. Would not recommend to anyone. Absolutely abysmal.

Please stop with the add ons...we get you want more money. I wish there was no add on ads that came up. I just wish it worked as showing the itinerary and my boarding pass with options for me to click on. I hate that ads of travel insurance, hotels, and add ons keep popping up every time I open the app. It’s just annoying...

Worst ever. I have to allow access to my camera to verify my identity but I don’t have the ability through the app to even access or give access to the camera. This is extortion of the highest order in order for them to charge more fees for check-in €55 is ridiculous to check in.

Buggy app and bad experience. The app crashes when switching the app to find your passport number or other information. It also does not tell you when you’ve already purchased additional bags. Instead, it tries to upswell you even more check-in bags. Bad app and customer-hostile company.

A process designed to confuse. Hellish. I avoid Ryan as much as possible. One reason is the confusing check in process which is designed to make you buy services you may not need. It’s their business model, but it’s incredibly frustrating and makes me take other carriers whenever I can.

Constant error messages. This app is very difficult for US passengers to book flights. Error messages pop up and there is no solution. It is also impossible for US passengers to speak to customer service. The phone numbers are all Europe and UK. There is no US customer service thatI can find. The app will not let you change your name or title if you get married or divorced. Again error messages

The app crashes after update. After updating the latest version, the app crashes right away after launching Please role back to previous version

Jordan shrank. Worst app I’ve ever used. Will never be flying Ryan air again. All they want from you is money and it’s total bullsh*t. Very frustrated with the user experience and with ryan air’s poor attitude towards their clients. Where is the customer service? It feels like I am literally a piece of meat to them and they have a absolutely no interest in putting the client first. Trash company.

Pre-purchased options hard to find at check in. The check in flow in the app, and on the web are purposely designed to track the passenger into buying additional baggage because they do not clearly show what was already previously purchased. It takes a lot of exploration in many clicks. Purposely deceitful software design does not build brand loyalty.

Horrendously hellish. I recommend avoiding the entire experience of flying Ryanair, which is made infinitely more difficult by needing this garbage app to acquire one’s boarding passes. If you pay less for a cheap flight, you’ll end up paying the same as an average one in baggage expenses and emotional and physical pain. I have learned the hard way.

Should be so much easier. Not sure why Ryan Air decided to make it so difficult to add a boarding pass to Apple Wallet. Presumably because they want to force everyone to use their pathetic app, and go through more frustrating choices, like hotels etc. How about including the option as soon as you have checked in, so the app can be avoided all together?

Please Help!. I love this app, I’ve used it to travel to Bulgaria, Italy, England, and other places within Europe. But it has logged me out and I accidentally signed in with my Facebook about instead of my email, and now I’m not sure how to log out!?

Terrible at Italy, and bad app. In Italy 7 flights are checking in at the same register. Huge lines! Workers are very slow, very.. App check in doesn't work, you still have to wait in line. If you travel in pair app gives you separate seats when they have a lot of free. And asks you to pay for change. Terrible in all!

Good for searching set routes, but missing the Fare Finder. I usually use Ryanair's Fare Finder to look for special deals, so it's quite inconvenient when I have to open up my web browser to use that function instead of it being conveniently located in the app itself.

Frustrating check ins. Very frustrating trying to check in on 2 out of last 3 flights with your airlines. We were unable to enter our 15 year olds birthday with the automated check in and could not get hold a live person to change this for over an hour. Please hire more live agents to help your customers , your robot to chats can not help when your tech system needs improvements

The WORST Airline anywhere. Booked 4 flights withe Ryanair in last 6 weeks NOT ONE on time. Not once did they communicate the delay, nor was there an agent at the assigned gate to ask what is going on. I will NEVER fly Ryanair again. I will walk before I fly with them again. Even their site is not updated with any information. I would like to know how they stay in business. The WORST of the WORST airline anywhere.

Confusing situation. I already paid for two checked bags, as it’s shown in my receipt, and in the process iof checking in , it was requested to specify if I would carry checked bags. Please clarify this. My receipt said for each of us Vivian… checked bag (20kg) Luis…….checked bag (20kg)

Useless App. You will need the reserver’s email address to pull up the boarding pass. For businesses and agents, this is silly. I am now walking around with a printed boarding pass. Getting access to flight information opens a browser. It should be within the app.

horrible verification procedure. They make you take multiple pictures and charge for “verification “. It took multiple tried. They charged me twice even though I had attempts left. I only booked their flights because no other airlines were available. I have many years of programming experience. I have seen so user unfriendly app as their “verification “.

Forced to pick a seat. I was not able to move forward with the check in unless I selected a seat and it made me pay for that. I would have happily taken a random seat

Confused. I thought I bought a ticket with cabin luggage and you are still asking me to pay a supplement it is confusing and frustrating

Most shameful airline. We did not check in online (since we were traveling and the emails didn’t say we needed to ) They charged us $55 per person to just give boarding passes Since we were less than 2 hours from flight departure (maybe around 110mins) online check in was closed Even if you check in on line you need to print boarding pass Never again on Ryan Air!
