Best alarm clock app!. It is so easy to use. Love the use of buttons to program my favorite stations to, so much easier to use for saving favorite station than other apps. Very good support as well!

Not compatible with iOS alarm?. I like this app, and it used to work well, but a few months ago it started doing this thing where the app will not turn on the radio at the appointed alarm time if I also set an alarm for the same time in the built in iOS alarm app. Most of the time it doesn't work, but every now and then it does. Maybe it has something to do with slightly different alarm times. Wish you would fix this. [EDIT]: In reply to the developer's reply, Notifications are on. Seems to be a conflict with the iOS built in alarm.

Alarm stopped working. Great design, but...functionally, the shoutcast stations work only haphazardly. I could live with that as I don't listen to the radio all that much - minus only 1 star. But crucially, the alarm stopped working after a couple of weeks. No idea why. No change in my routine. It simply stopped sounding the alarm. Minus 3 stars for that. I was late for work twice. Can't have that. Would love to see this design work. Sadly, it doesn't.

I love this program!. Beautiful and well thought-out program. So easy to use and with many alarms and many sources of sounds from my iTunes library to included sounds. I highly recommend this program. Oh, the support is responsive too.

Love this app!. Works flawlessly. Have tried lots of others alarm radio apps and this is the best by far. Interface and ease of use are excellent. Worth every penny to be able to select my favorite stations to wake up to. Developer is also very responsive if you have any issues as I did with the free version.

A little disappointed. Since the last update the snooze and off buttons moved to the bottom of the screen which I think makes it harder to use. Also, yesterday morning I hit the snooze and it somehow had turned itself off and I was late getting up! Also, the update reset the music I had set for my alarm without me knowing. I think I have everything back in order now but it would have been nice to know about these things ahead of time. Is there a Limit to the number of snoozes now? And please, please put the buttons back at the top!

Shoutcast. It was great UNTILL they removed “ shoutcast “. All shoutcast stations gone.

Outstanding Support. I purchased this app at the beginning of the week because of all the features.. radio, alarms etc. I needed a good app to run attached to my Bose bedside dock. All worked great except for the PM alarm I was trying to set. Alarm kept reverting to AM. I contacted developer and within 4 days an update was passed fixing the issue. That is SUPPORT ! And is appreciated. All else works fabulously as advertised. Wayne

Best radio alarm and worth $3.99. I downloaded 4 different radio apps, this being the most expensive, hoping to find one that could simply wake me up in the mornings with a radio station of my choosing. Not that complicated, right? Wrong! One app has a radio function but won't let you use it as an alarm, another didn't let me search the stations I wanted, another didn't sound the alarm if the app wasn't running in the foreground.... This one does it all. I tested it out by finding my favorite station (WNYC) by searching the US radio stations by state and saving the station, then set an alarm to wake me up with that station. It worked! I also tried closing the app and turning off notifications and it still worked! If you don't have the app running in the foreground, you just need to reopen it to turn off the alarm. The design is really sleek and clean too. Since you're paying for it you don't have to worry about ugly ads either. I too was skeptical of the 5 star reviews but I'm giving another one because this is hands down worth every penny and does exactly what you'd want a radio alarm to do!

Nice Idea but alarm doesn't work - fixed!. This app is good for listening to radio stations but the alarm feature is intermittent at best. Sometimes it goes off but more often than not, it doesn't. Certainly not reliable if you have to get up at a particular time. Customer service responded advising that Notification must be turned on for the app to function properly. My only advice might be to note this in the user instructions or possibly in the instructions in the screenshots above.

The Best. Simple well thought out interface,the app has all the stations i was looking for, alarm triggers radio! I actually use this instead of Tune In now, i like the buttons right on the screen.

Great app. I've been using this app for a few months and am really impressed. Love the dimming feature, the choice of radio stations, and having the current temperature displaying when I wake up. It stopped working when I upgraded the iOS on my phone but customer service responded to my email right away and got me up and running (delete app, restart phone, reinstall app). I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for s clock radio.

NIce but a little buggy. This does a lot, I have only had it 2 days but experiencing some growing pains. My all my local stations don't play when I choose them from US radio, and I have been unable to get them to pay by putting in the URL address. More of a pain is that after I hit the snoooze button once, the alarm off button no long works in landscape mode, I am forced to pick up my Ipad and shift to portrait. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and alarm off always works the first time, but once i hit snooze during furhter testing it is done. Still i give 4 stars because overall I like it. Hopefully the snooze/alarm off bug will be reported by more people than I.

Pop ups turn it off!. This app has everything I am looking for... Only one BIG problem. If I have anything that is set as a pop up notification that happens prior to the alarm going off BCR doesn't make the alarm! I have calendar reminders and weather notifications that are set to pop up everyday. This makes BCR useless. Can't this be fixed???

quirky. This app works but you have to leave it open all night (you can use the dimmer mode) for it to wake you up using the radio in the morning. If your phone locks or goes to sleep, the app won’t wake you up! It will either play the default music, or it will just pop up a notification and not play any sound at all. Definitely a significant limitation. If you want to leave the app open, keep the screen active, and not let your phone go to sleep, then it will work. Not for me.

Outstanding in every way. This is by far the best clock radio app I’ve ever seen (hence the name). It’s stable, easy to use, and has expansive functionality. I find myself using it all the time; by my bed, in the car, working in the office, … The team that put this together should be commended. I’m looking forward to trying other apps they produce.

Good...but with one issue.. It's still a good app, but ever since the latest update the alarm has awaken me to "Good Morning." A good wake up alarm, but I would rather wake up to a certain radio station I have it at up for. (Tried it with both iPod Touch and iPhone, did this with both items.) Update: if you change the buttons from their presets, it wakes you up to "Good Morning." Doesn't matter if the station is among those included or added by the user.

Individual. Really easy app to use. Tutorial on their webpage showed me all I needed to know. I bought a charging dock/speaker for my iPad and now that and this app are my new clock/alarm in the morning. No more static-filled radio to wake up to. Support has been great too--when I wrote in with the question/comment they answered within a few hours.

Awesome app. I love my BCR. I have taken it when I travel domestically and internationally using it to stay in touch with home. I have had a few issues with it, but support has always been very responsive with any problems. The problems have mostly been with the radio stations themselves and not the program. I love the fact I can get most any radio stations I want, including international ones.

Love this app!. I plug it into a Bose sound dock overnight and into car power on the road. I've used BCR for at least a year and love flipping among favorite radio streams around the world. I love jazz and have buttons for WBGO, Jazz24, TSF Jazz, CJRT, KKJZ, KNKX, plus one to randomly play Thelonious Monk music from my library. I'm not aware of anything remotely comparable. My most used and favorite app.

Great Potential -Lacking Critical Feature. This has the potential to be my favorite alarm clock, and I have a lot of them. Unfortunately it's missing a critical feature; the ability to assign days of week to the alarms. I'm confident they will address this shortcoming which will allow me to do a more thorough review and hopefully give then 4-5 stars.

Not for iPhone X. Quirky app and optimized for iPhone C screen

Best App. Can't say I've tried every clock radio app, but I have been using this one for several years on a dedicated iPad. Very reliable on WiFi and if internet goes out it defaults to its built in sound. Shoutcast Radio station choices from around the world including sports and local CBS and NPR stations. Also several different wake up times can be set and turned on and off. Only down sides, some stations don't work and I have tired it on my iPhone while in hotels on LTE but it doesn't seem to play radio stations when the alarm goes off while on LTE. Also needs an obvious sleep button. I think it might have one but I haven't figured it out. Something like after a certain time stay on for x amount of time, but this doesn't seem to be a sleep button since it seems to work as sleep if you pick a night time hour, but if it is set in the morning it determines how much longer the radio stays on after it reaches the time to turn off automatically(two hours), so I guess it might be a sleep button but it appears to be for a set time every night and for those who don't go to bed the same time every night it is problematic. This is a "very good" app (4.5 stars), and would be a perfect five statrs if: 1. A sleep button set to last for a certain amount of time that can be turned on (or off) anytime 2. Radio stations that work over LTE as well as WiFi 3. No radio stations that don't work

The best radio app!. This is an excellent radio better than any other I have tried the fact that it is a ClockRadio as a bonus, recommended!

No external speaker functionality. What happened to driving Bluetooth speakers. The JBL speaker of mine cannot be driven anymore. Instead there is this lame iPhone speaker boost which is worthless.

Idiot-proof. This nutty alarm will work if the ringer is turned off, the volume is turned down, the screen is locked and the app isn’t open. The only problem you might have is if you set it to an internet radio station you might happen to get dead air, that happened to me once. You can set multiple alarms so it’s smart to set a non-radio alarm 15 minutes later if you want to wake up to a radio station. It also has the craziest selection of alarms I’ve ever seen, “Funkmeyer” being a personal favorite. It can also play songs from your iTunes library. It's unfortunately pretty ugly, which is why I only gave it four stars. It LOOKS like a piece of junk but it's the best alarm clock app I’ve found so far.

A Complete Winner. This app is so thoroughly thought out, so well designed, and so beautifully simple--yet packed with features its a wonder that it costs so little. For the price, this is easily one of the best deals in the App Store. The user interface is brilliant and intuitive, easy to use and visually appealing. One of the biggest pluses with this app is the radio feature, allowing up to 8 of your favorite radio streams to be activated by a single touch. If the stream drops (as they often do) the app automatically reestablishes connection--a brilliant feature. Should your internet connection go down, the app will revert to preset alarm music so you will never be left asleep by a silent alarm--another brilliant feature. Last, but certainly not least, the interface is very dark and can be dimmed beyond that of the dimmest screen brightness setting on my iPad, making it the perfect companion in a very dark room. This is easily in my top three favorite apps and will continue to be a mainstay in my bedroom for the foreseeable future.

Not Again…. You have removed Fox News feeds again! Fox radio is the only reasonable talk station available on weekends. Please don’t remove them. Please don’t try to determine what stations I listen to by blocking those you don’t approve of. Please pardon me if it’s a glitch with every Fox station you offer, in that case I apologize for thinking you would act like twitter.

Wish I could give it 0 stars!. Unfortunately the best clock radio app went out of business so I had to find a new one, especially with a sleep timer. This app is awful! Works when it wants to, usually not. Considering I'm an IT guy, I find this app to be infuriatingly inept especially when I paid for the full version!

Only Half Works. Like Beautiful Clock Radio Alarm for iPad, it only half works. Weather works in this one, but the volume and brightness sliders do not. I can set the location and radio buttons in this app, but the time between snoozes is impossible to set (at least that worked in the other app). I'm increasingly disappointed with this app maker and I'm annoyed with myself for giving them any more of my money. Buyer beware. Would not recommend any apps from this app maker until they can get their act together.

Yes.. Thought that the 5 star ratings were too good to be true...but happy to admit that after weeks of searching for a wifi clock radio, this 4$ app was well worth every penny and then some! Well done! First review that I have ever written..have been using apple products for years.. 👌

Desktop gadget. You need to update the program so that the liitle program box in the desktop also shows the correct time! Sometimes you don't have time to open the app to look at the time and the gadget on the desk shows the same time all the time please fix! Veteran Request👺

Great service. At first I was frustrated that I couldn't get the alarm to work, however it turned out to my fault. I emailed tech support and within a hour I had the fix and answer. It turns out I didn't have notifications turned on. It has worked perfectly since then! Great service!!!

Good app but needs more work!. I got this app to go with my Bluetooth iHome clock radio. It connects ok to the Bluetooth but disconnects sometime during the night and I get a message on my iPhone 6 that "this app may not be supported" at 2am. The message is white background and literally lights up my bedroom and wakes me up! Not the wake up I want! I'm guessing there is a bug in the program that loses the BT connection. I also would like the option to program my stations, since there are limited stations offered. Otherwise, it's good...

Ios9 failure. This was my favorite clock radio until I upgraded to iOS 9. Now it just looks pretty but won't wake me to my favorite stations. Please fix this ASAP. Until then there are other free apps that work! ******* Re-review I deleted the app and re-downloaded it. Now it works perfectly!!! The upgrade to iOS9 must have done something to this app’s database. Be sure to save any URLs before deleting if you programmed your own radio stations. I’m again very happy as this was a big part of every day. This is the BEST radio alarm app.

Excellent app!. Love all the features of this alarm clock radio! Versatile and reliable. Had one or two small glitches and the developer got right back to me. A fix came a day or so later. Highly recommend this as your new clock radio and alarm for both the iPhone and iPad!

Almost there!. So far it's a reliable alarm clock, which is more than I can say for most every other radio alarm clock in the App Store. I just have 2 complaints that would make me change this rating to 5 stars (1 star a piece): 1) Give the option to start up the app on the alarm page instead of the channel buttons (or just remember your settings) 2) Fix the weather label so it shows your city instead of just your state

A Keeper!. The best clock radio alarm I've tested so far, and there were many...other than it actually working, one of the features I really like is setting the time is much easier and faster than spinning a wheel, just tap and you're done. Will be even better after the "fade in" volume option is added in a future update. Response to app support and feedback is wicked fast, Thanks Mark!

Should be a 4-5 star review. I've used this app for over a year and have been very pleased with it until now. Ever since the last update, it no longer wakes me up to the radio station I selected, but instead to a pre installed new age song. Also, I can no longer use it to fall asleep to the radio: the sleep feature doesn't turn off the radio. I would like to reverse my rating, and will do so once the radio alarm is functioning again.

Great App/Terrific Support. When my aged dual-alarm clock radio died, the physical replacement options were sad - very sad. But finding this app and running through the informative online video, I discovered exactly what I wanted/needed. As full featured as it is, the interface is simple and intuitive. One small, local station issue I had was quickly addressed. Works and delivers as promised. A great buy!

???. Funny thing happen. I have the free app but just bought the 7.99 app. When I open the paid app it reverts to the free app and I don't get the option to set up the radio. Any suggestions?

Great customer support. I absolutely love this app and use it every day. I like how it has the ability to dim, choose a radio station or other music to use with an alarm, and the ability to listen at any time. If customer support is needed they respond very promptly and provide accurate directions and solutions. Love this app.

Great App. Wonderful layout, ease to use. Has all my local stations and the first app I have found that actually works as a Clock radio. I set it to wake to my local radio stations, on the Weekdays it plays KFWB and on the weekends it plays KPCC, could not be better! Thanks for fixing the Snooze bug!

Extremely Unreliable. It's hit or miss if the alarm actually goes off. I don't recommend this for a primary alarm if you actually need to get up at a certain time. If all you're wanting is to listen to a radio, this app is decent, but don't expect to be able to wake up to the radio. Has a horrible user interface. Swiping to view alarms only works occasionally. You can save up to 9 stations but are only allowed to use the first 6 saved as one of your alarms. Lazy design is what that is. Also the stations seem to change themselves at random to things I didn't set. Even locating stations is a pain and no way to rearrange them once you've saved some. Very awkward unintuitive UI. This app is all kinds of a hot mess. I tried it for a week but have deleted it. Not worth the headache to use.

Nice clean design & impressive list of radio stations. I own both this app and the original app "Beautiful Clock Radio". I really like the clean layout and especially the programable radio buttons. The interface is very well designed and easy to use. I'm always discovering new radio stations from all over the world using this app. The station list is very impressive. Highly recommended!

This is the BEST. This has so much going for it. First off, it's a great alarm clock which also displays the current weather. What sets it apart from other alarm clocks are the thousands of radio stations from around the world that you can wake or just listen to. If you, your parents or grandparents are from another part of the world, chances are you will find a radio station from there to remind you of what you left behind. I'm happy enough listening to my local sports station... wherever I am. If your favorite station live streams, chances are you'll find it with this app or you can enter the url yourself. Besides all that, it is a nice app just to look at if you keep it opened up on your night stand. I usually don't write reviews, especially of this length, but I feel this one deserve all the praise I can give it.

Doesn’t work. Music alarm doesn’t work. Won’t play the AM station I’ve selected. Notifications is on. Using most current iOS system. Restarted app still won’t work. Test 10 times and still nothing. I’ve wasted $7.

It just dosn't work. Have been trying for a number of days to get this working, but just not happening. The support is good, very quick response no problem there, but the app just doesn’t work. I know iOS9 is causing all sorts of problems, but if it’s not going to let your app work in its current form, pull it from the store, fix/change it and then put it up again.

Great app. I like everything about this app, it's very well done. But would like to see moon phases represented, also doesn't seem show that it's raining at night? Would also be great to be able to have player buttons when playing music from my library, to skip songs etc.

App won't open. Don't buy this app, as it won't open once downloaded. You'll do your money like I did.

The BCR slogan 'I hate my clock radio' is ironic because I often feel like that about this one.. When it works it's great but alarm unreliable and often has difficulties just streaming radio for listening. Typical support response the app is perfect line and you'e using the app wrong or don't have notifications on when you do. Other blame they use is iOS but no other app seem to have same issues. No amount of reinstalling helps. The alarm feature is also disabled if you want to run other apps in the background like radio steaming that do work, sleep cycle as back up alarm or meditation or sleep sounds you may want to run. Doesn't remember last song if you want to run iTunes library always reverting to beginning and no functionality to skip. Also doesn't let you totally dim screen for sleep mode. Sleep function is also maxed out at only 1 hour. Asked support where help guide is in case some of these things are covered but no response. Also even on iPad easy to turn alarm off while aiming for snooze, you have to get the exact smaller touch button instead of anywhere on the screen like sleep cycle allows. Good idea but user functionality in context with how and when the user will be using it (ie tired or half asleep) misses the mark

Sound becomes distorted after several days. This app was pretty dependable until the last update. Now, after about a week the sound will become severely distorted and garbled. You have to quit the app completely and restart to fix the problem. This is getting to be a real pain so I am looking around for another app today.

Alarm won't work on iPhone 6. Tried numerous times to set up the alarm to come on to radio streams or playlists on my phone, but NEVER worked once. Even with the app open all night, nothing. Not much of an alarm. Hope I can get my money back.

Needs station search by name. Take a hint from Tune in radio. They have all the functionality with alarms etc. Just make this app worth the cash. It is pretty though! I have to give it that. Pretty but needs more brains!

The Best. I have used it for two years on my iPad as a clock radio and in my iPhone 6 without any serious problems. I would buy again.

No Bluetooth. Unable to connect to Bluetooth speaker after last update

Good support. I first bought this app in 2014 and use it every night. Last night after updating iOS on my phone it stopped working. I contacted the developer today he responded within several minutes and solved my problem. I was sure worried that I wouldn’t have my clock for a while but it is back working again.

Good App — Does what it was designed to do. Great app. Very reasonably priced, provides a choice of alarm setting for different days (e.g. for weekends or different days when you ma have to catch an early flight), and offers a good selection of recorded sounds & streaming radio stations. I like how it allows you to dim down screen at night and it brightens back up automatically at wakeup time. ‘Does what it is supposed to do.

Needs Improvements. Interface not fully user-friendly. Some important internet stations could not be located

A truly useful alarm that connects to streaming radio stations. I've searched for some time looking for a bedside alarm app that wakes me to my local radio station (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) so I can hear the local news and traffic before I start my day. This app is easy to use and has worked flawlessly since I purchased it. The developer also responded quickly to my request to add my local station as it wasn't in the default list of stations. They got back to me in less than 12 hours and I was listening to local radio the next morning. Fantastic app and good support.

Cadelaide. Useless. There's no search capability, nor any consistency in the station or program names. Shouldn't that be a given?

Drains battery and no alarm for PM. Every time this app is running it drains my battery. Also, every time I set an alarm for anything PM is resets it to AM! Please please fix!

Best Clock/Radio App. I have bought many of these apps looking for one that works. This one is the best. I use it everyday.

Glitchy and station choice isn't the best. The swipe functions in the app are also glitchy. Resetting radio stations isn't all that intuitive and I can't get the local ones I wear in Dallas

No Landscape View. Great app! It incorporates everything I was looking for except a landscape mode! Please include this feature in an update!

Only Repeating Alarms Work Now. Ever since iOS 8, only the repeating alarms work. If you set an alarm for a single day (like I did for today) nothing happens. As an alarm clock, that's a complete failure.

Don't bother. I've set it correctly and it sends me notification banners "reminding me of the time" if I'm sleeping, I don't see banners. It never goes off and is the worst alarm clock ever!

Not worth 3 bucks. The clock and alarm with music work fine. The radio is useless. Unfortunately, that's what I bought it for.

Absolutely hate this app. I have a stand for my iPad that is vertical, this app only works horizontal. I did not wake to my fav radio station this morning either, in fact I have no idea what these rations were or how to change them. None of the are from my area, which before I paid for the app I thought I could do. Frustrating. I hate it, what a waste.

Great!. Actually works unlike the others I have tried. Has plenty of US stations including lots o Los Angeles. Good looking without a lot of crap on the screen. However, the weather stopped updating about a month ago and no fix has been posted.

Great radio App!. Works very reliably. Easy to set alarm with many radio stations to choose from.

This is the best.. Has the substanative features I want, in a best-of-class layout. No other clock alarm radio compares.

Doesn't remember stations. I have an IPhone 5. When you completely close the app and reopen it all the preset buttons quit working except for ones you program in with an Internet address! Not good!!!

Clunky. Poor choice of streams.. Bought. Tried. Removed. Wish I could have my $4 back. This thing is lame.

Like all the others I've tried -- unreliable. May be the platform; don't know. But I can't count on any of these alarm clocks to work when needed. Sometimes it work sometime not. Late to work a couple of times now. Since last IOS update, the onscreen brightness and volume controls quit working. Going back to my regular old alarm clock. 8(

The Best Clock ever!. This is the best clock and works very well with my ipad mini. I put it next to my bedside as my everyday alarm clock!

Waste of money. Don’t buy this app — it doesn’t work, and after hours of struggling to make it work, I’ve given up. Those who rated this a one star were right — I should have listened.

Latest update :(. Um.. What happened? Ipad2 ios6 , the screen is cut off now, will not rotate, clock willmnotvshow in wide mode.. It was incredibly wonderful until this release... Please fix it..

Doesn't work. If you set the alarm for 2 minutes from now to test it, it works. If you set it 8 hours from now (even if you leave the screen on) it isn't going to go off in the morning. Really bad app.

Do not update this app. The app prior to this update worked great, but now the slider bars for brightness and volume do not work. Please fix the non-functional sliders now!

Great clock radio. Great selection of stations. Clean display and smart alarm features. Would really like it to display in landscape, not just portrait.

Fit it!!!. This is a good app if you want to listen to the radio but the alarms won't go off. The alarms wouldn't go off 3 days in a row, I just want an update that will fix it so I don't have to delete this app.

BCR. My favorite clock radio, but this version crashes! Waiting for update that I hope will fix this.

Don't like. I tried for hours to add my own favorite urls and they never did work. So I finally used their stations. But since the app only shows the call stations I don't know what kind of radio station it is which doesn't help me since I listen to different music to sleep to and to wake to.
