Great for making stickers!. This app is great. This is my first review of an app because I love it so much. I got it to make stickers and funny pictures and it does just that. The adds aren’t even bad they show up at the end when you’re completely done with your picture. The tools are great and work amazing.

Much Pog. The app was very simple to use, very powerful,no watermarks, and had a good control on ads. It’s also free which makes it very special. I swear you won’t find another good editor like this for free on a phone. Recommend for Average/ above average editors that have budget problems lol.

Perfecto!. This is a super cool app. It Literally worked straight out of the box. Cut my subject out and reframed it on a new background. Just did a multiple layer add and after some tweaking it came out amazing. Con: the ads are a bit annoying but it really works.

Love the new features. I use this app a ton so the addition of a smart eraser and fixing the bug where it erases when you zoom were such a relief! most useful app on my phone!

Get Rid of Ads. I would be giving this app 5 stars, however, I recently got a new iPhone and the Photo Layers app has annoying ads with no way to purchase to remove them. When I had the app before I didn't have to deal with unwanted ads. Further more when I clicked on the app support link to contact them it leads to a face page with a broken link and no way of contacting the developers. If this becomes resolved I will happily give it 5 stars.

Best photo shop app!!🤩. This app is the best photo shopping app I’ve gotten out of all, you don’t need an account to go in and they don’t force you to buy premium and it’s good at photo shopping for your pictures 👍👍👍

cool app. This fulfills all my artsy photo editing needs. my ig followers aren’t ready. Also been using to see what new room decor would look like without having to set it all up and take it down multiple times.

Great little app. Realized today that I’ve been using PhotoLayers for 3+ years. It’s been consistently good, and it’s been my go-to for anything I can’t do with the native iPhone photo editor. The app has always run smoothly. Adding layers, removing backgrounds, fine-tuning crop jobs, and inverting/rotating are easy and the “recently used” option to re-add layers is handy. Ads occasionally show up after saving. They aren’t intrusive since they’re played at a point where you’ve stopped work anyway… I also appreciate that the ads pay for my free app rather than the developers harvesting my user data. PhotoLayers has a clear privacy policy and only stores my photos locally. I can’t think of any other utility app that I’ve been able to rely on so consistently.

What an awesome app to have. I’ve been using this app for a few years now it’s amazing the things you can create with this app. It is great for making promotional products as far as flyers wedding invitations, logos and a list goes on❤️❤️❤️

iPhone version on my iPad turned sideways. UI is not the best nor is it a simple task to erase something. I do like “feather” mode though. How many apps do you have out there? I’m getting confused! This one (apparently the free one) has stupid ads plastered all over the place, plus LOUD obnoxious video ads that blast me when I least expected it! Really annoying to have to turn my iPad Pro sideways to use it. Plus, your PhotoLayers iPad-exclusive app (purchased I think) refuses to update (need to keep iOS 13 on my iPad). Really frustrated with this family of apps.

Works well.. Smooth operation of the scissor tool. It’s funny though, that this is one of the rare apps that don’t allow user to purchase an option to remove the horrible scrolling banner ads. Ultimately in me deciding to delete it after I rated it. Maybe developer will implement that option in the future.

Amazing App. Like a lot of Apps the more you Play with it the better you get. Once your a G on PhotoLayers You seriously can’t beleive you made for without it before. My videos are cooler my FB Posts are doper My Big brother hits me up like “Hey Man Can you take this picture and do that?” 😂

Old version was AWESOME. I have used this app for years, probably my all time favorite. However the last update has ruined it for me. My pictures won’t load, the advertising is horrible, nothing about it seems the same. I would be more than happy to purchase this app if the option was available that would do away with ads, and worked better. Heck I’d love to purchase the old version!

Works great for what I want.. App works great. And they even fixed the app so that you can now use it with the option “only selected photos” instead of the all photos options.

Useless!. After I chose my background photo and then tried choosing another photo from my photo library to use as second layer, I wasn’t allowed to access my photo library! Tried and tried and tried until I just ran out of patience! And there were no “active” options for me to choose such as delete, cut, etc. What a waste of my time!!!!

It doesn’t save correctly. So I used to love this app and I used it all the time. Now, whenever I save the photo, it doesn’t save correctly. It saves with a white background even if I chose a transparent background and honestly I’m really angry because this is the only app that I have used that works like I need it to 😡😡

Awesome for making professional looking edits. This app had just the features I was looking for and no unnecessary bloat. Would recommend for memers such as myself.

Perfect. This app is amazing! I only use the background eraser though. I use it to crop faces and erase messy hairs. It's very accurate and even lets you decide where the cursor goes so you can see it instead of it being under your thumb 5/5 would recommend to all my friends 💕

BEST FOR WALLPAPER COLLAGES. so i use this app to make my wallpaper and i had a bunch of screen shots of flowers witha. white background. by using this app i could remove the background perfectly and create a beautiful hydrangea collage

Excellent Free app with tolerable ads.. The app is very well done and fully functional even with ads. Thanks to the developer for not crippling or putting watermark. I am buying the pro version because of this.

It’s ok needs more layer options 👌. One thing that needs fixing is the amount of layers other wise the app works amazing pls fix in future updates of the app :) its super easy to use and it’s not like we have to pay for it thank u for making it free for us who can’t buy superimpose And such :) 🥰 Also please add more layer options 🥰🥰🥰

5 star app has left the building. At one time this was my favorite app. 5 stars. Now, I don’t know what’s going on with this app. Years ago, when you saved your work the image was very clear. That was then, now if I need my work to be detailed I have to take advantage of my iPad 2020 w/4K camera. I was 100% loyal to this app. I’m cheating these days. Besides the resolution issue, this app went from no ads to smother you with ads. As soon as I find an app that will upscale your layers I’m dumping this app like an unwanted girlfriend. It doesn’t have the fading feature where you can combine 2 pics with fade work. I’m really turned off to this app now.

PhotoLayers is Amazing. PhotoLayers is so useful and easy. I use PhotoLayers to make school projects. Instead of making a slideshow, you can organize your photos like a magazine or do anything else with it. You can photoshop and make it look you are somewhere exotic or even make it look like you have a twin or something which I think is really cool. I just love PhotoLayers.

What happened with the most recent update?. My eraser tool is suddenly horrible! Not only is the actual application of the eraser / scissor tool so much more difficult ... it leaves a shadow or halo around the edges. I’ve always found the auto cut extremely accurate and easy to use. Now, it deletes half my project or doesn’t get close enough to the outer edge. In addition, if I do it manually ... the new Move Only tab doesn’t seem to actually do anything. I wind up deleting whatever is under the dot as I try to maneuver it to another part of my project. Is this all user error? Can someone provide me with some tips to get it to work like it used to? I wish I never updated it ...

Mostly Awesome. This app is awesome and I use it all the time. However, it needs an undo button. Many times I am trying to layer photos right next to each other, I click on one photo and move it, and it moves a photo right next to it that I had positioned where I want. Please fix this issue by adding an undo button. Otherwise, the app is great!

I love this app. The only problem is that your app got adds and the photo deletes the person not Just the background you need to fix that issue please I Just want the background gone not person but it did helped a lot I’ll keep it for good luck as long it will stay free

New update. Omg what did you all do with the app. It is absolutely awful now. I loved it before and used ut alot. But now it's so annoying and awful. Looks like I'm gonna have to find a different app if you don't fix it. Very unhappy

Great! Missing 1 thing tho. Over all I really love this app! All they need it when you go to the eraser is they need a move only button. So when you are erasing you don't erase what you want to keep! So over all this is an amazing app! You should get it. I hope this review is ok and goodbye

Awesome Free Editing App!!. I NEVER write reviews for apps but this one really deserves it! Every feature on here is free with very very little ads (only one after you save) which I appreciate so much! I’ve used it for all my tattoo ideas and it does exactly what I need. The best part, ITS FREE:)

This app is a blessing to humanity. Its free, it has more utility than most paid apps (looking at you, picsart), AND its an extremely versatile tool for creating memes or projects. I have literally used this app for a college final bc it is so useful. Thank you for making such a wonderful app.

Super easy to use. This app is super easy to use. I use it to remove backgrounds. I enjoy all the features it has to offer. I just jump right in. It’s super easy to pick up on without any tutorials.

Steals your photos. Forces you to select access to all photos, if you try and just choose a few photos to give it access to, it instead pops up a warning and blocks you from using the app. What reason would there be for this besides stealing my data? Yes I understand giving access to all photos enables more features but it should be a CHOICE not forced on me

Disappointed. This was by far my favorite background eraser app. Unfortunately I can’t see myself using it anymore because the best feature about it was taken away with the update. When erasing there’s no longer the zoomed in version of what’s being erased. Big bummer. I want the old version back. If it did revert I’d get the ad free version..

About The Update.... The update was very sudden-and i like the new lay out but cutting and erasing is much harder. I edited with this app all the time and enjoyed it and it made cutting green screens easy but now when you cut green screens , theres alot left and you have to cut more precisely and it takes up more time and its very very glitchy. While the old one didnt have this problem ; i hope this problem gets solved.

Almost perfect. I’ve tried a few different cut/paste apps over the years, and this one is one of the best. Very simple design and no nonsense. However, I have 2 complaints: 1. When you place an image on another one, you cannot zoom in on the background image. Because of this, if you are trying to place an image in a very specific spot, it is difficult to line it up. It would be great if you could zoom into the background, place an image, and then have the image stick to that spot when you zoom out 2. The photos lose a lot of quality when you save them. Sometimes this is no big deal, but for HD projects it can be frustrating to see the resulting image slightly blurred. I would gladly pay extra for an app that resolves these 2 issues

Outstanding! User-Friendly! Versatile!. I absolutely LOVE this app! It is so easy to use and the results look amazing. I almost feel guilty not paying for it. This is so much better than the paid apps. It’s just what you need and easy to learn. If an upgraded version is ever released for a cost, I will absolutely buy it!

Where's the "fit" button???. I had this app on my galaxy tablet and it a a "fit" button that gave you the ability to fit line up and fit the layers to the background image, that opinion isn't on iPhone. What is that? Please fix that, I'm an artist that burns to make pictures, if that one little thing is fixed this app would be perfect.

Finally bro. I have searched so many times for a truly free app to let me do what Snapchat stickers do but with more control. Just the cutting and layering part that is so necessary for what people think of as photoshop! It’s been so ridiculously hard but I finally stumbled on this app and I’m so happy It’s not perfect, the erasing tool is a little weird to predict where it’ll actually be in comparison to your finger, but at least there’s a restore tool to clean up my lines and fix what I accidentally erased. Still though! Smarter ai than Snapchat lol, crisp and helpful tools, lots of layering options, p intuitive controls—at the very least easy to figure out without messing anything up. I’m happy :)

Good App. I swear I have downloaded 10 different apps just to erase the background of some simple images, and all of them either make you do everything by hand, or the tool doesn’t even work properly. This app erases automatically, all for free, very accurately. If you are looking for a simple, automatic eraser tool, this is the app for you.

Sketchy not sketch. This app wants access to “all photos” and not just selected ones. It won’t let you use it unless you give it full access .I don’t need you to create albums etc for me and I don’t need you to have access to all my photos. Im guessing there is No data privacy with this app. Can’t trust this app so I won’t be using it .

Simple and Free!. I downloaded this app so I could add my logo to pictures and the layer option works perfect without having to get a subscription to anything. There are ads but they’re not over-bearing.

No longer my go-to app. As a somewhat skilled editor, this was my go to app and favorite by far! Easy to use yet very sophisticated in doing exactly what I needed. Now the update happened and the look and feel are more basic than before, giving it an unsatisfying remedial feel I don’t like. Change is okay when you can get through them and still do what you loved about the app in the first place, BUT then the ads appeared making this app completely useless. Give me the option to buy the version I loved WITHOUT the ads. You sold out for profit (which is unfortunately understandable) but let me by in for a previously solid product.

Good but, Is hard to manage.. It’s a good app but I wish you could save the photo like in a gallery like not in your storage, also I wish you could put videos and erase stuff in them. It’s annoying because now I have to take separate pictures and then try to animate them. To many ads to, I like this app but it’s just.. not the best.

This app is great! Very effective and free too. I have been using this app for years and it has proven to be very easy to use, simplistic yet efficient and helpful! I do recommend it

Mediocre. A crashy app that eventually gets the job done but takes extremely long times to load larger photo albums and doesn’t give full access to smart/special folders (People, for instance). Sometimes it locks up and forces me to close/reopen the app. The screen is only optimized for iPhone (not iPad), hence it doesn’t support the Apple Pencil either. Ads continually scroll on the bottom of the screen.

Cut out is not working. Hi! And as you saw in the title, THE CUTS NOT WORKING!! This is what happened: 1. When I want to cut out it cuts every single peices and left some peices out, 2. IT DOESN’T WORK!!!

Miss original version. Loved the PhotoLayers from a few yrs. ago. Used it daily. Now have “Add Image” version and the pic adjustment sliders don’t inc. sharpening the image. So will look for app that does.

Good editor. I had a small project I wanted to try out while I had some downtime and it worked perfectly to create a 3 layered photo for a sticker cutout.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!. I love how you can’t see the background you don’t want at all!! Also I love the fact that you can put a lot of pics on one page and erase their background one by one instead of going back continuously, which is complete torture. One problem for me are the adds. They keep coming after every photo you edit. But I still like the fact that the ads are there for only five seconds and then you can exit the ad.

It’s so helpful and really fun. I love this app and it awesome for making edits and posters and I totally suggest it

No landscape view. The app is free and is simple to use. But the iPad must be rotated to switch to landscape mode. iPads only are available with landscape oriented protection sleeves for desktop mounting.

Easy to use. Very user friendly

A previously worthwhile app now rendered useless. Once upon a time you could easily get your editing done quickly and with ease with options for save file type. Now all we get is a save file with a “transparent” background that is unrecognizable to any other photo or photo editing app. All that background you just zapped out of your image is replaced with a white non transparent background instead once you “save” your work. Deleting this for sure.

You shouldn’t require access to ALL PHOTOS. I disapprove of the fact you require access to ALL PHOTOS, and not just SELECT PHOTOS. There is a note on the app store that Apple has not been able to identify how this app uses our photos. EVERYONE should BEWARE of apps like this that require access to all your photos without a need.

One of the best apps. I highly recommend this app it’s great if maybe you want to photoshop something or even touch up a picture I love this app!

Horrible. Wouldn’t open any of my photos from my album, so I couldn’t even get started using it. It would freeze either upon loading the album or on the crop screen after selecting a photo.

Where is the shadow option?. On my Samsung Tablet, there was a shadow option where I could add shadows. How come I can’t get it on my iPhone 6+? I think if this was fixed, it’ll be really great.

love it. love it, it neeeeeeds a portrait setting though!!!!!!! this is so important please add different sizes besides just a square. please please please the ads are not annoying, it’s reasonable and i don’t feel like i’m being taken advantage of or pestered to upgrade to a paid version like other apps really great app love it, made a lot of art with it, thank you!
