Great Trail App. This is an awesome app. We use it for all trail rides. Love the new miles viewed as you go. We use it to ensure we are on different trails and to find our way back to camp. Love knowing how far we rode that day.

Great app. I have used this app for years and in areas I do not have phone service, it has gotten me back to my trailer more then once when I got off the trail. I find it helpful and have recommended it to friends.

Great App. I’ve been using this app for several months and so far it’s been great. It sometimes shows a weird amount on the miles while your tracking but once saved it’s pretty accurate compared to my smart watch. My husband pays $35 a year for Alltrails and after comparing both apps with the speedometer on our vehicle his alltrails is off over 1 mile each time and this app is spot on with it. Very happy with this.

Trail riding. I Trail ride for about 4 to 5 hours. I enjoy this app. The one problem I find is that it loses its signal so i do not always get a complete Trail ride map. Taking pictures may cause this problem. I hope these problems can be corrected.

Pointless. I thought this app allowed sharing trails etc like my hiking apps. I’ve got plenty of gps apps for tracking my course. That was a waste of money.

Handy trail riding app. Fun app to use and handy when exploring new areas. Not reliable when in areas where cell service is poor but no fault to the app.

useless. does not work without service worthless on my trails going back to Free app map my walk very disappointed

Ok not the best. I like the app but wish it had a top speed and not just the average speed. I also wish I could put on layers of a local national park trails to follow. Update: this app has started to lose its connection to the GPS satellites in the middle of a ride. Still looking for an app that works

Thrilled!!!. This is the best App! I've spent a few hundred dollars on GPS's that couldn't do as well as this one does and for only $5! Easy to use and accurate. Love how you can drop a pin with a picture you took at that point.

Regret purchase. App will delete map at random times while you are trying to track a trail. Do not recommend. Looking into better options.

Worth it!. I was thinking to say 4 stars but no reason not to give it 5! It's really great. I don't go on very long rides; usually no more then 5 miles😁 but it's been great so far. I use it every ride... Only thing I think would be great to add is a way to have a horse profile so that u can look under each horse and see the miles u have racked up!

Great app. So excited to have found this app. Tried some other ones but wasn't very happy. I used this one for hiking and cross country skiing and was super happy with it. Very accurate! The $ spent is worth every penny.

what a rip. Thought this would help me find new trails that others have ridden and let me add my own to the file. Instead of finding new trails, it was nothing more than a glorified tracker and recorder of your own rides......big whoop Doubt it could follow someone that does remote high density rides (like in mountains). Don't waste your funds.

User. I use this app horse back riding and love it. I do wish it provided top speed in addition to average speed.

Sad. It needs to tell you how far you go once stopped.

Like the app. I really enjoy the app. I also wish I could keep a horse profile....AND, I wish I could look at top speed, instead of the average.

Picture problems. Be sure not to take pics from this app if you want to share.

Deletes track in progress. I just downloaded this app. Seemed to work great until I noticed the app closes and deletes the trail in progress. It's not a phone memory issue or a signal issue. Anyone else having this problem?

Best Trail Tracking App Ever!. This app encompasses everything I wanted to be able to do and log while I ride. The ability to track trails and associate pictures or comments to specific trail locations is the best part of this app. As a bonus, I can make notes about trails, name then, and more.

Failed when I really needed it. I conduct trail rides for a high end resort. Spent several days clearing new trails. Bought this app to time them. About 50 minutes into the ride the map vanished and could not be retrieved.

Florida Rider. I love this App. Not only does it show where you have been after the ride is over, but anytime I feel worried about getting back to camp I can see on the map how to get back the way I came or at least know that I am heading the right direction on the trail I an on. Also, by pushing SAVE, when riding in the same place I can compare maps of the different trails I took. More importantly, the one time I did not turn it on because I was FOLLOWING other riders, THAT 5 hr ride was only ended when we were located by a Sheriff’s helicopter! Hard lesson but I never ride out now without turning on EQUiTrail.

Nice way to track and share rides. Really find this app to be an added bonus to my rides. Allows easy tracking on miles and able to share with friends. Also helpful when making new trails near others, when you pull up the previous map. Couple times I have not recorded entire trail, but I live in a very rural area and it could have been operator error. I recommend this app. To all my friends.

Great app for trail riding.. We've only used this app a few times but we can tell that it will be a great addition to our trail riding activities. We mapped a trail on a 10,500 acre privately owned property that will soon be open to the public for equestrian activities. We hope that we'll be able to share some of our favorite trails on the property with users who visit and have downloaded this app on their device. It would be nice to be able to add additional photos or place marks after the trail map has been created. You can do a small amount of editing of the title and description after mapping the trail but as far as I know you can't add additional photos. The photos that appear on the place marks do not expand to a larger size - unless we're doing something wrong. Overall, this is a great app and you shouldn't be disappointed at all - it's definitely worth the price.

Tried free apps, bought this one anyway!!!. I love this app! It's exactly what the trail rider needs. The only thing I wish is that you could pause it. We usually have a lunch break and a couple of rest or scenery stops and it would be nice if I could pause the app so it wouldn't count into the actual ride time and mph. Does anyone else agree?

EQUiTrail ap-too many bugs. Unfortunately this ap doesn’t save the trails. The ap will start when you want it to, it will track everything during the ride. Then at the end of your ride when you get in to it to save the information the ap shuts down and deletes everything. It’s beyond irritating and there is no way to get the information after the fact. Another issue is you can’t access the ap outside of the phone, so there isn’t much you can do to edit fields within it. It’s definitely not worth $5.

I paid money for this????. If I could give no stars I would. Every time I have tried to use this it loses my trail after just a short time. Especially when I try to take a photo along the trail. Can I send it back??

Not completely trustworthy. I loved this app when I started using it, but lately I've been having issues with it. The distance has not been consistently correct and it has shut off on me, completely loosing our trail. Used it again this weekend and it said we had traveled 8 miles when we were on a 2 mile loop. I have lost faith in this app. I hope they can fix the bugs in it.

Don't waste your time. Very disappointed. I thought this would include maps in my area for horses. This is strictly a create your own app. I am sure once you create the maps it's great but I would like I see equestrian trails in my community.

Love it. Use this app on our trail rides and hunter paces. It is so easy to use and let's us track our mileage / distance. We have so many trails it lets us easily repeat a course. Love it.

Not what was described.. I thought it was an app to find trails and track your rides. It’s not. It’s to create your own trails.

Loved when it first came out. Loved it when it first came out. Is accurate BUT I lacks some easy user friendly features Ie: sort in history and it’s oldest to newest No way when you save to enter thinks like location and horse, just one line the. You have scroll down and edit No update they are not keeping up

Intermittent success. Not at all reliable, even with good cell service. I've been on some incredible rides with friends, taken pictures, telling everyone I'll send them the map and NOTHING there when I finish the ride. Very disappointed. Looking for a new application that actually works! When it does work(which seems to be about 10% of the time) it's great.

Equitrail review. Used to love this app-use it to track my carriage horse’s workouts. Then I started losing the map when I would take photos (which was a feature I thought was great!) so I stopped doing that..if you don’t hit save after stop (not always easy to do when you’re on a moving vehicle) you lose your map. So I stop touching my phone at all unless I was absolutely sure I could nail it. Finally, today I hit save and titled it but I don’t know what happened, because I went in just now to look at my info, and the whole map has disappeared. Or year or two ago I would’ve given this five stars but it seems like it’s degenerating :( Think I have to look for another app, sorry. .. right now I can’t even send this review :O

SCAM!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!. I bought this app and when I opened it, it said to allow location services but when I went in to settings there was no way to turn it on.

Awesome app. I love this app, especially the feature where you can share trails with other users. I use it to track and share hikes and off-roading trips with my jeep too!

Data?. The app has the potential to be great but needs some help. Your riding data is missing. The app only has very basic data like duration distance and ave speed. Developers need to look at Ski Tracks which has top speed, elevation change, min and max altitude, ascent and descent degree change etc. all things I want to know. Please add this!

Crashes a lot. Would love it if I could trust that it would not crash and lose my map. I have to keep restarting it midway. First half disappears . Makes me crazy.

Very limited - not worth the money. I can get more information using my free running or ski apps. Waste of money

Bummed out. I'm so disappointed, I thought I would be able to see other people's saved trails to find new places to ride.

Love this app!!. GREAT app !!! Even when I had no cell phone service in the Allegheny National Forest in PA, I was able to track my trail riding and not get lost in the forest again. I love it !!!!

Avid trail rider. I really love this app. It gives the info I really want. Unfortunately it’s quit running in me too many times. Doesn’t even save the portion it did run.

Very useful!. Use this app to create Competitive Trail Rides. Easy to use out of the box. Also use it to enjoy new trails in unknow areas. Easy to share created trails before meeting up with people to ride. Love the photos and annotation pins, but it would love to be able to add notes to photos. Additional feature to select pin or photo and get mileage of that marker would be very useful. uploading to site that could share maps online would be another great future upgrade. all of the "upgrades" are purely a luxury - the app is fantastic as it is and highly recommended.

Terrible!. Doesn’t work, did not save my photos, app gets hung up and frozen. Not worth it, had to return.

Lots of fun to use. I have just used a couple times, when mapping out a new trail ride and at a hunter pace. Suggestion for future updates - allow ability to email to non Equitrail users. One question we had with the hunter pace. Our time was almost exactly 1 hour, but our miles per hour was less than the number of miles traveled. How does this work?

Wish I had not bought this. If you lose the satellite, even for a moment, you will have NO data. Many people ride in back country. Worthless.

It's worth it!. I live near heaps of trails and so I love mapping where we've been, especially when exploring new trails. So I've mapped about 8 so far and this app works awesome; does what it says it will do with no drop outs. An auto save would make it perfect because if your phone battery dies you lose the whole trail which is a bit disappointing!

Disappointing. I downloaded this app as I'm an avid endurance trail rider. I watched the demo first but the app kept closing without provocation. After logging 2 hrs worth of waypoints, photos and route, it closed on its own and I lost everything. I kept trying then gave up. Going back to a competitor version. This isn't reliable, doesn't offer metric units, and doesn't provide the equine users any real distinction. Overall very disappointing!

Good in theory, but doesn't work very well... One in three times it simply triangulates the distance and doesn't follow your actual tracks, goes as a crow flies. My Tracks is a much better app for a fifth of the price and it has yet to fail.
