App Issues. I Purchased this magazine with the understanding that I could use the app on my iPad. It has been an issue from day one trying to get the app to work. It allowed me into one issue and now wants me to pay for additional issues. I wrote an email but there has not been a response from your technical staff. If this problem with the app does not get fixed I will not renew my subscription!!!

Very Disappointed. I have been getting issues of this magazine for several months and have been very pleased with the digital format and interactive capabilities of each issue, especially being able to save recipes with the click of a button. I was very disappointed to see that the December issue is not interactive at all. It seems to just be scanned images of the print version, which is hard to read and useless for saving recipes. I hope you will go back to the previous format but for now I will not be purchasing any more issues.

Disappointing. I enjoyed this magazine until suddenly, one of my issues was no longer there and and only gave me the option to purchase it. After months and months of emails, they eventually told me they couldn't do anything for me and washed their hands of me. I tried contacting iTunes but they told me that they couldn't help, either, and that Taste of Home only has access to fix this. Don't subscribe to this magazine because if you get a problem, they won't give you a solution. Here is a part of their email to me: "I see that in the past months our agents have tried to assist you in your issue with viewing Taste of Home on your iPad. I apologize but we have no more options to suggest to you. The digital purchase you made was not directly through Taste of Home, so we have no visibility to your account. You will need to contact the customer care at the iTunes store, since your purchase was made through them."

Awesome App!. I've read several problems with this app but it worked great for me the very first try. Reading the magazine on my iPad2 was so much fun and very easy to navigate if you just read the tutorial. The pictures are beautiful. The recipes are great. I cannot complain about the 6 months free either. Love this app!!!!!

Taste of Home no problems. Downloaded the app today. Since I'm already a mail subscriber, I downloaded the current issue for free. Hope all magazines will provide an e-reader format. No problems opening and reading.

Wonderful. I enjoy looking at it online as well as the hard copy.

Need ability to print. Too difficult to either print specific recipes or entire page. Indirect method requires either emailing the desired item to yourself and printing it out or using a scanner to scan the tablet page and then printing. Neither method is better than just printing a copy of the magazine page.

Expensive app. I don't understand why the app makes me pay for electronic magazines, when I already subscribe to the print version of the magazine. There is no additional cost to the company to make the magazine available electronically. They don't even offer a discounted price. I was hoping the app would provide a better search engine, similar to the website and not just being able to flip through an electronic version of the magazine. I love Taste of Home magazine, but this app is really horrible.

WOW! A new experience!. Taste of Home on the Ipad does not get much better! Love the inter-activeness of the magazine in this format. Seems like I get so much more value on the ipad. The photos look delectable! I highly recommend if you have the ipad get this magazine on it--you will not be disappointed!

Duh!. There isn't a single thing in this "free" Taste of Home" app except an order form to subscribe to a yearly subscription or to buy single issues for four dollars. Not even so much as one single page!!! Why don't they just call it what it is instead of misleading us the way they do. It should be called the Taste of Home subscription page, NOT the Taste of Home magazine! ! I don't know what the magazine is like, obviously, but I am giving it one star for misleading title and devious strategies.

Where are my magazines?. I purchased a years subscription and had downloaded the first magazine. I never saw the next one, and the 3rd one is in my magazine rack - but where did my first one go? And where's the 2nd one? They are just gone, along with my money. I also do not like the way the pages turn. Very hard to follow. Can't save a favorite recipe. I would never buy it again online.

Frustrating!. I loved the first issue. But when I installed the second issue, the first one disappeared and I didn't see an option to bring it back. I just installed an update and it asked if I wanted to restore the old edition. I of course said yes, ands now I can't get the current edition. Ahhhhhhh.... I am ready to get rid of the whole app. Don't bother.

Love the recipes, not fond of the functionality. The recipes are great however the app suffers from a few drawbacks. It is difficult to easily return to where you were reading if you go to a different recipe section - say from the bottom of a page. I hate either having to go back to the beginning or slowly hunt through the articles to find my place. Additionally there is no way make sure you have covered all the articles/materials because you can skip around a lot - unless you do a slow page by page both horizontal and vertical scroll for each page. Lastly, there is no way to print a recipe from the app unless you mail it to yourself. I'm paying for the darned thing, why can't I print it since I can't cut it out of the magazine?

Great. I guess they must have fixed it, because it is working great for me. I have always bought the magazine , but this is even better. I can make everything bigger on my iPad. Love it. Thank you Mr. Ramen! Keep up the great magazine's. :)

Looks like it would be a great magazine if.... If I could navigate the darn thing to actually read the stories and receipts this app would rock. Used to get it mailed and hated to store everything. Now I'm paying for a subscription I can't really benefit from. Certain pages say tap for recipe you tap and get absolutely no place. Fix the app. Please make this interface friendlier. Awesome pics! Also would be better if there was a way to file favorites, bookmark them and send shopping list of ingredients to email If this doesn't already exist.

So interactive!. Always loved the magazine but reading it through here is cool because it makes it so easy to save the recipes or send them to a friend who I think will like it.

Working now!!. Updated review! After finally getting to talk to a customer rep from Taste of Home, I was instructed to delete the app and download it again from the App store. It took a couple attempts to finally download, but it is now working like a charm! Hope this helps any of you that are getting the continuous sign in page!

Won’t work. I have been trying for weeks now and can’t get this thing to let me access my subscription. So frustrating!!!!!

Update?. What the heck is going on with TOH magazine? This "latest" version of the online magazine feels like a cruddy "Beta" version. Not good at all.... I used to love all the features with the magazine on my iPad. Saving recipes, opening up to the last page read, favorites bookmarked and easy to locate, these features are all modified or nonexistent now. Whoever heard of an update with a magazine downgrading the experience instead of cool new improvements.... thinking about canceling this online mag. Sad ☹️

Authentication Failed. This is an updated review. Initially, I got "Authentication Failed" when trying to login and gave a 1-star review. After a few days of trying, I was finally able to login and download the magazine. I've been a print subscriber for years and Taste of Home has always been one of my favorites. Once I was able to download, I was not disappointed with their digital version. However, I do feel they should have worked the "bugs" (login issues) out of the app before releasing...

Poor Application. I am unable to copy ingredients or print them out. If I try to print the application closes. If I try to copy ingredients the application closes. Then I have to go back to the issue was looking at, flip to the page I was on. I am not happy with the application.

Update Used iPad to contact customer service told them what happened...got message they received my message ....later saw all my past issues so I didn't lose any of them....thank you so so much!!!!!😀😀😀😀😀😀😀 helps to contact customer service....they did outstanding job.....now have all my issues...I didn't loose any of them!!! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Love this App. Just downloaded to my iPad and love it. The pictures are amazing and I had no problems get my account set up with my current print subscription Love the action in some of the pages. The clarity of the pages are truly amazing. Looking forward to next issue.

Hate it!. I have spent so much money with this company, but obviously it's never enough for them! Thought I would try this out as a way to save some space, and for convenience, and they just want more and more money! Do you remember when this magazine was first available? It was very good and very reasonable, but just like everything in this country, it's become more available for the "Haves" than the "Have Nots," so if you have the the money, God bless you; I don't. I'm retired on social security. And with ANYTHING-you-would-ever-want-to-cook being available online for FREE, who needs it? So much for "Taste of Home"... I want a "Taste of Yesterday!"

This is terrible, please fix!. I installed the app and it won't appear. I then go to the app store and it says it's installed. I press app support and I go around and around in a loop, logging in and going back to sign up page. I am already a mail subscriber and I hope this doesn't mess things up by not sending me my magazine and making it digital which would be ok if I could only pull up the app. There have been many complaints why isn't this fixed?

Don’t Bother. A long time ago this was a great site. Now it is practically impossible to use. Another reviewer says that they blame Apple. I have a lot of apps on Apple and I can’t think of another as bad as this. The recipes here are very good, but it is no longer worth my time to fight this app. Now it is so crowded with advertising and the app malfunctions constantly . Advertisers, please take note; it is not worth whatever you are paying to be on this site.

Horrible don't waste your time. Just like the print version, the iPad version is way behind the times. I am a print subscriber but when I log in on my ipad there is no option to download the magazine without purchasing the issue. The "chat with customer service" of course does not work (shows a blank page for ten minutes before I gave up). So frustrating. The recipes are great but I am forced to just use the old fashioned print edition.

Wow! It's now my go to recipe site!. I often use the web to search for great recipes, and I have been pleasantly surprised how wonderful these recipes are! I use them all the time. And although I have several other recipe apps, this one is awesome especially for slow cooker meals which I use all the time because I'm hungry when I come home fromwork but don't have energy to cook. Love the app!!

Love it!. I've been a subscriber of TOH for many years. I enjoy being able to read it on my iPad. However, I would not want to give up my print issue. I have saved every issue and use them often.

Super duper. This truly is the most amazing food app out there. Granted, it's first gen, so there will be kinks to work out, but I am truly impressed with the folks over at Taste of Home. Such great access to recipes from your mag and it's BEAUTIFUL to look at, too!!! Keep making these awesome apps, and I'll keep buying.

Finally got Access!. It took some time and re-booting my iPad multiple times, but I finally got access to Taste of Home. When it works, it's wonderful. There are so many features. I love the "tap to view recipe button" and the vertical method to view the pages in a topic. As an enhancement, I would like to print the recipe.

Can't sign in. It seemed like a good idea, but it won't let me sign in, so I can't view the digital edition. Plus, if I'm already paying for the print edition, why would I want to pay for the digital version? It says that I get six months free, but I can't even access them now, and I shouldn't have to pay after the six months, since I've already paid for the print.

Keep Trying - it does work!. I had the same problem trying to download. I called the number that was provided and talked to customer service. At first I didn't feel that I was helped but they did ask me to at least wait 24-48 hrs. It has only been a couple of hours and I have downloaded the first of my free issues. I have opened up the e-magazine and it is working fine.

Thank Heavens Mag.. So happy that magazine is available for my iPad. We travel so much for work and play, I could never keep up with my favorite magazines and wonderful cook mags., but now my library goes with me wherever I go. Does take a little longer than I like to download BUT the wait is worth it. When I subscribed to a magazine half the time they could not catchup with me, problem is solved. Thanks, see if you can work on downloads and to be able to bookmark if we wish, some also have it where we can crop an article or recipe.

This has been a bad app. This is a great magazine but terrible app! Buy print version, do not get this app. I began subscribing through apple on iPad about 4 years ago instead of print. Every now and then, the app loses all of my library and asks me to pay for the current issue, even if I show a current subscription. When I contacted the app developer, they say it is apples fault. Apple says it’s the developers fault. I decided to go digital with my magazines for simplicity, but this app has been anything but simple. The developer, TrustedMedia has inadequate customer service.

Sad sad app. I love taste of home magazine and was excited to get the digital copy. I do not currently subscribe to the paper issue. Once I downloaded the app I chose to be a monthly subscriber through iTunes. I get charged monthly and I can not sign in to receive new issue. I tried to call the " digital help " number they give, they said I had to call iTunes, I called iTunes , she gave me a " one time only" refund and I'm still in this terrible cycle, well see how next month goes. Bad customer service.

One you can actually use!. It offers more than just one or two great recipes. New delicious and healthy side dishes to take to a potluck or serve to your family; grilling recipes, desserts, healthy drinks. The true testimony is that all my friends want to borrow it, so it changes many hands and I have to track it down to get it back!! It also is very inexpensive. 😜👍🏻 It's get for getting out of the rut of the same old same ol. Family and friends love bbq's when they offer a new surprise or theme. 👏😋😍😜🍡🍧🍥🍰

magazine appears in the newsstand. For anyone trying to find their magazine after getting the app, it appears in the newsstand. Try looking there and hopefully u will find it. Hope this helps.

Awful. I’ve bought but can’t get current issue. Always asks me to login & provide password. But I bought on iTunes via Apple ID & app won’t recognize. I go to my settings and lo and behold, iTunes has it and I’m being charged. I just can’t access. Save your money. This app is the online version of a vending machine that eats your money & doesn’t give you your drink or snack!

Frustrating. I can log in when I access my account online but not from this App. I have a brand new 2018 iPad. What’s up Taste of home!!!

This App Works!. I have been more then pleased with Taste of Home. This is my first magazine app and if this is typical, I love it! I take the iPad everywhere so the magazine is always available wherever I go. All features work as described and the color and response is amazing. Thanks Taste of Home.

Trash Trash Trash. This application is trash. I love the magazine, I can log in on my Windows 10 Laptop computer.....BUT NOT ON MY IPAD......sad....SAD....SAD.....Junk.....I have also sent them two email using their “report a problem” link and it doesn’t work....So I think it is not Taste of Home ToH it is the developer of this application.

Impossible to read. I bought the app in hopes I could zoom in to read the minuscule print. You can’t and it is very disappointing because I cannot read any of it!

Great Photography. I have been a subscriber to TOH for 12 years and have always enjoyed the recipes. What has always stood out for me is the great photography. At Christmas this year I bought a I-pad from apple computer. When I first saw the magazine on my I-pad I was blown away by the vibrant colors and great new design!! The photography is even better! The app is very easy and navigation is easy. Very well done. Thanks for making my favorite publication even better. Patty

Great Recipes. Love every recipe I’ve ever tried here!! Love the hard copy but miss the old glossy version, the pictures were so much more tantalizing. Been a subscriber for 20 years.

Excellent App. I really like the app. It's nice to not feel like I must save every issue. It's easy to use. I don't like that I need to enter my account number every time I want to download the new issue. When are we getting "Simple and Delicious"?

Nice!!. I didn't have a problem logging into my account. The iPad version is very handy when you can't put a hand on the paper version. One suggestion to become a 5 star app is to let subscribers save the recipes from the digital version. That's just my opinion. Other than that 5 stars.

Disappointed. I have so much trouble with this app. I try to open it and my log in is gone. After I finally get it to work half of my purchases have prices by them and I can't open them. I've tried reinstalling and still my purchases have prices on them. Big disappointment. This happens just about every time I try to read my magazines. I've had this app for a long time and at first I didn't have this much trouble. Don't know what happened.

Terrible app with nothing useful. I absolutely LOVE Taste of Home magazine. But the publishers really need to come into the 20th century when it comes to technology! Yes, I meant to say 20th century! This app basically is a copy of the magazine. That’s it. Nothing actually functional. Their app is useless and their website is incredibly slow and so heavily laden with pop up ads, it is nearly useless as well. It’s a simple concept: develop a real app that functions like your website is intended to be, and make it accessible to those who subscribe to your magazine!

Not doing what it should. Can't get to store. When clicked it doesn't go anywhere .

Have your credit card ready. If you want to purchase Taste of Home magazines this is the app for you because that is all you are able to do.... and they're not cheap! Forget this app, there are no recipes for you here.

Portrait only. I am in Canada and it was available for me (re: previous review saying it was not available for Canada.) however, magazine can only be viewed in Portrait orientation, not convenient to view with my iPad in its stand. I deleted the app and will be sticking with the printed version :(

Just purchased. I purchased a 1 month subscription for $1.99 with automatic renewal. If I am p,eased with this June/ July issue I may consider a longer term subscription. FYI - with this $1.99 subscription I also got an extra month free. For mow I will give it a 4 star for ease of purchase and price.

Not happy…. Not happy as sometimes you can get it to download, other times not. Aug/ September won’t download.

Yearly subscription horrible. This is my second year to subscribe, not all months in 2018 are available for download and now the January 2019 issue isn't available. Not happy

Don't really care for it. Basically just gives you a place to purchase books and magazines. Stalls out at "loading". Not really worth the download time.

Not what I expected. I thought it would be more like looking at a real magazine. Takes too long to download, unless I'm doing something wrong. I would rather have the actual magazine if this is how it works. Very disappointed!

Angry also. This app should be taken down until it is fixed. I agree all others having problems. Tried to delete and reload but it thinks it is already installed. It seemed like a great app the two minutes it worked. Please take it down for maintenance.

Nice. Been receiving print version. Reads beautifully on IPad . However, downloads really slow. Be patient!

Doesn't work. I am a print subscriber and was offered a free 6 month trial of the iPad version. Please fix this app because it doesn't work. You have to continue putting the same information in over and over to verify your print account. You can never use the iPad version. Very disappointing.

Just everyone says...doesn't work!. Went through the setup to get the 6 months of digital editions 3 times, talked to 3 customer reps and reinstalled app 3 times. Finally can get logged into account but it still wants you to purchase the copies. There's an hour and a half my life I'll never get back. Don't waste your time on this one.

Subscription Fee. I don't care for the fact that I have a paper paid subscription and that I now am expected to pay for the iPad version. Waste of my money to have to pay twice for the same information.

Agree. I agree with the previous two reviews 100%. No need to say the same thing over and over-this app is like the subscription. Can't keep up with popularity. Fix it or pull it!

Won't install. This app won't even install on my ipad. Even though it's set to sync automatically, it won't sync with the ipad. I can't even drag it over. It's a good magazine, but so far I can't tell about the app.

Terrible reviews,same results. I cannot login to sign up for an account either. What is the point of reviews if the app creator doesn't care enough to fix this major problem? Not very good for business, I'd say!

Love TOH. I have subscribed to Taste of Home for 15 years and I I'd've the magazine. I am thrilled it is now available as an app.

Can't get new issues. I bought subscription from ITunes and got logged out. I can't download current issues because it will not allow me to log back in using ITunes account.

Get rid of the pop-up in the email link!. I get daily recipes via email - which I love. However, when the link opens, there is ALWAYS the pop-up asking me to get the app from the App Store, or continue to the recipe. I HAVE THE APP!!!!!

Love it. I really love this iPad edition of Taste of Home. It's slick, easy to access, and, of course, full of recipes that are for the cook who likes to cook with basic ingredients!

Horrible horrible App!. I was hoping to read issues to my subscription. After messing with it for almost an hour I could not get it to accept my user. Info which was about the most confusing setup process I've seen in awhile. Thank goodness they don't charge for this!

iPad app. I have a print subscription and like many of the others, I can't access them on iPad. I would like to take advantage of the free issues but doesn't look like it will work. Glad I didn't pay for it!

Can't open. I am a current mail subscriber and I too keep getting stuck in the endless loop of verifying an account I haven't had a chance to create. Useless for me until they fix it. Disappointed.

Frustration!. I'm echoing all of those who are frustrated! I've tried at least 25 times to register. I'd love to be able to use this ap with my iPad. I sincerely hope that they get the bugs ironed out of this quickly.

Bait and switch- beware!. The popup on Pinterest makes it sound like you get at least one free issue if ou own load, but you don't get ant Thing except how to make a rice krispie snowman. Then they hit you up for at least $3.99 to do anything.

Taste of home magazine. I like having the magazine on my tablet, but it is hard trying to find everything in the magazine. It also takes several a temps to get it to upload. I am still trying to get issue June/July to upload.

Love it.. All my magazines are in one place. No piles of back issues! Very easy to navigate through the magazine.

Not for the near-sighted. Since the update, it seems that the print is extremely small. I am unable to read it and there is no ability to expand the screen. Completely useless to me.

Keeps crashing!. I keep trying to open the app but all it does is crash as soon as I open it. I just want to download by new issue but the app doesn't even open :(

Keeps crashing.. Love the magazine and was excited to get the app for my iPad. But it is so annoying as it keeps crashing when I tap a page for a recipe, and sometimes when I tap to turn a page. Please fix it!

Working Mama. I like the fact that I don't have to have magazines cluttering up my house, but I think that the new magazine should automatically download with updates. I should not have to intentionally look for it to download it.

Magazine does not show up in library. I purchased the feb/march issue and it does not appear in library. Called customer service and was told to log into itunes acct and download from there, but cannot. App needs work. Have multiple other magazine apps on ipad, and have not had one single problem.

Terrible app. So this app is terrible. I currently receive the mail version and wanted to take advantage of the free iPad version. I've tried everything and can't get the current issue....

Don't waste your money. This app is horrible and I wouldn't waste your money! I downloaded it two months ago and have lost my first subscription, and the October/November one won't load anymore so I can't even see what is in the magazine! Wish I had read the other reviews before I bought this!!

Fantastic app with great recipes!. I've really enjoyed the Taste of Home app. I love the easy accessibility of the recipes.

Very disappointed. I am very disappointed with this app and had originally had such high hopes. I'm a subscriber to TOH and liked the idea of having my magazine on the iPad so I could have my recipes readily available when I'm cooking. I tried to log in and kept getting stuck in a loop. Such a big let down.

Taste of Home my most favourite cook book next to mines of course. I love the recipes compiled in this magazine and the many cook books under the taste of home label.

iPad version does not update current magazines. I paid for a year of magazines on my iPad. Where is the June/July issue. Where do i find my account number for customer service?

Will not upload current issues. I purchased a 1 year subscription in December and since then the December issue is the only issue that is available. I know there is a current issue out in the stores, however, it is not made available in the app. I am very frustrated since I have been charged the 1 year subscription.

Ok app. Hoped to replace my print edition. But there is no ability to print without sending an email to myself. There is no way to size (i.e. Full Page, 3x5 card or 4x6 card)

Wanted to love this. I got this app in hopes that I could use it concurrently with a magazine subscription, but alas I would have to pay for both. I used to be able to get the digital version of the magazines, with no extra charge, on my PC. I'm extremely disappointed that the same is not true for my iPad. Will be deleting soon

Doesn't work. I have downloaded and installed, registered, TRIED to sign in about 25 times and it tells me AUTHENTICATION FAILED every single time. I've even tried talking within online chat and they couldn't get it to work! I really don't like it while it's free so there's NO WAY I'd pay for such a worthless app. I expected more from Taste of Home and I'm very disappointed!

No more paper!. I like the fact that I don't have paper cluttering up my hoise, if I want paper I kist print the recipes I want. But this allows me to jave what I want on hand. Very nice.

Ok. I love this magazine, I thought I would love this app. But I hate having to turn the iPad in order to view it. I love my iPad and love the landscape view, I wish this app was in landscape.

This app does nothing. I am having the same issue the others are having. Once signed in, there is no way to view the magazine. It just keeps me in a continuous loop of signing in. Worthless unless they fix it.

Not great. Personally, I like online mags that you flip pages like a book. This app you scroll right, down, cluck for a page to get a recipe. I want everything right there on the page and I want to bookmark the page, not a whole section. Disappointed.

Taste of Home. Love this app. No more piles of magazines. I have to admit though, it is hard to navigate, but catching on.

Awful. I renewed my subscription on my iPad. Was supposed to get all magazines delivered right to the iPad and haven't been able to access my account since. Not even worth the trouble.
