Zombie Tower Shooting Defense Game Reviews

Inconsistent cash grab. There is no apparent strategy to get around the fact that the mobs have inconsistent health and on some levels it’s seemingly impossible to acquire enough funds to survive early waves which then means you can’t get three stars no matter how well you do on the rest of the waves. There are better and more intuitive tower defense games. I wouldn’t waste time playing this only to be infuriated by the few levels that are (seemingly) impossible to get three stars on while still enjoying the gameplay. I’ve played uncountable variations and I have yet to figure out how to even beat level 11, I’m not interested in testing every single configuration of towers possible to find which one can barely succeed. Unbelievably frustrating. It might be possible if you pay for the special abilities, but this game isn’t worth a penny.

Great game! No spending neccessary. This is a great game, very challenging! Lots of people are saying you need to spend money to progress in the game, they are wrong. This game requires a LOT of strategy to fully beat it, hardest level I was stuck on was lv9. I spent about 20 minutes trying to complete it, I thought I was going to have to spend money to beat the level, but I was wrong. Like I said, lots of strategy and key placement to beat the game. If you are good at strategy games, then this is the game for you! Now it's time to beat all levels with 3 stars >:-P

Ok game but why is the first fast zombie fast and has high health. When I was a kid I downloaded this game. After a few levels it became impossible for me once the first fast zombie appeared. So I uninstalled it and came across it a few days ago and tried beating the game and then I realized that zombie was fast and had more health than the normal zombie. Normally in games the fast enemy’s have less health than the normal enemy’s, but in this game the first fast zombie is both fast and strong and it makes the game very hard please change this

Classic game. I remember playing this game back when I was little, with my first iPod. It’s still so fun and challenging. You sit here passing through each level and don’t even realize how much time has gone by because of it. Absolutely love it!

Fun and addictive. Despite what a few reviews say you do not have to purchase any potions or upgrades to win all levels. It does take some effort to figure out how to win them all, but that's what makes it really fun! Great game, looking for more levels or versions to come!

Don't buy anything. This is a great game- but be careful when it comes to the shop. There's not nearly enough levels to make buying anything worth it, and the prices aren't listed. You have to click on the item and enter your id to see how much anything is, and things cost upwards of 10 dollars- don't waste your money!

Good to pass time. I beat all levels w 3 stars, although it took some thinking to get them all done. It doesn't cost any money to win, btw. It's all about the cannons fully upgraded, dragons on the inside corners, and for the levels that can't be passed that way, an ice tower is probably required. Always place any tower in a place it can shoot enemies more than once, to start. Have fun! Wish there were more levels. Or another game like it...

Good but short. Good game, but too short with only 12 levels. Still, getting 3 stars on every level was a challenge. Funny to me that people get stuck and think they have to spend money. It does take some thinking and trial and error to get it done but it's very doable. Devs should definitely add more levels/towers.

I agree with Nate Davis!.... This game is totally beatable! Is it tough at times...frustrating?...Yes! That’s what strategy games are! The point is not to win the first time you try, the point is to think about HOW to win...Trial & error.. executing different plans & strategizing...One way does not work, try another...until you find the one that works for that particular level! That is what makes it fun! Otherwise, it would get boring real quick! :) It is ok to get frustrated but it is not really fair to bash the game/developers & accuse them of things that are not true just because you are stuck on a level! As for me, I love it! :)

Hard but not impossible. First, it’s a basic tower defense game but like chess, it requires planning and strategy. It’s an enjoyable game. Simple but also requires thought. The negatives are that there are levels where you encounter enemies that are incredibly fast and sometimes at a point where accumulating enough money to build a slowing tower is almost impossible. I finished all the levels with three stars and spent no money. It’s possible, just have to work at it. The key is unlike other tower defense games, towers are the most useful weapon. Only criticism I have is the lack of additional tower types. Would be a good add.

Awesomely addicting. I was hooked instantly! Makes you think outside the box & strategically place the canons, dragons, etc in order to beat the level. My only complaint would be that there aren't many levels. More levels please!

Way too easy. You can complete everything in this game in two days if you wanted to. One day if you really wanted to. Don't listen to the comment about needing to spend money, you can literally beat every level with 3 stars with one frost tower and massing the first tower with upgrades. Don't get me wrong, It killed some time, but there's no real depth to the game. You got small fast enemies, big slow enemies; towers that have long range, towers that have low range. And of course the all mighty frost tower. That's about it

Really Fun - but too few levels. At first, I was SO frustrated with this. But once you figure it out you will be golden and it's a ton of fun. Reading through these reviews, others have described it pretty well. Lots of cannon towers. The only reason I gave it four stars is because it's over so quick! There are not enough levels at all. Such a bummer! I don't think I'll ever find a complete tower defense again - the best one was from Warcraft years ago. No idea if that is still around. But it was a lot of fun.

Easy. Never written a review before.. probably because I’m a positive person and reviews tend to be negative. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game! It’s not as hard as people think. I won most levels with just using upgraded cannons. I love games like this that keep it simple and entertaining. Please make more levels!!!

Good. I remember playing this so long ago so I decided to beat it again. I loved it but it needs an update. Also no the game isn’t pay to win you can easily beat it without spending a dime

Fun but needs more levels. I enjoy this game. And I have purchased add ons but like another reviewer stated there are not enough levels to justify the purchase. I was hoping that after completing the last another page was open. I was disappointed. But all in all a fun game.

Great game but needs more levels. If this were a game where u like went on to the next season or whatever and the background and music changed every season and new towers were added in then this game would be amazing. I love how it is now but whenever I come back to get a taste of this game I always beat it within a day. Also I love the sounds of all of the towers so don’t change that.

Winning. Start with multiple cannons. Then a dragon or two in a corner. Upgrade them. Then put a freeze tower at the beginning. Anywhere you have a freeze tower, put an electric one behind it. Upgrade electric to the second one, you can go max if you want but you can use those points elsewhere. If you upgrade or have enough freezers, the speedy guys won't get thru. Dragons help with the big zombies who give 40 points. Cannons help everything but especially the elephants. Game is hard. Think outside the box. And when the level splits, when you do something to one side do it exactly on the other side

Heavy Pay to Win. I tried to give this game a chance. Despite the poor graphics and animation style, I kept playing, since tower defense games are amongst my favorite strategy games. However I kept noticing that the gaming mechanics are heavily flawed. Zombies constantly pillage your castle, despite having maximum defenses. What was the developers solution to this problem? Add an "easy" mode option, for the low price of $9.99. Now I'm not against in app purchases, but when it comes down to me having to buy it just so I can get along farther in the game, well that's when I get upset. Fun concept, poor execution. 1/5

Fun!. It's really fun, but it needs more levels. For all the complainers - learn how to use your towers - upgrade canons to three and put dragons where they can do the most damage and you can beat almost every level perfectly.. A few might need some ice towers, but you don't need to make any in app purchases to win

Pay to win. It's painfully obvious that this game is built to frustrate you until you buy upgrades. The free version is very difficult, but in the shop you can essentially pay to lower the difficulty. They don't list prices though, so who knows how much they are scamming people for. Here's a novel idea, build a game that's fun and find a different way to make money. There are plenty of successful games that include vanity purchases or other things. Don't make your game pay to win.

Pay to win. After a few levels you have to pay a ton of money to continue winning... I have attempted the same level 8 times and I get to the last wave before I lose every single time... And I have 0 coins to spend on more towers/upgrades and about 60 towers... My DPS is high enough to kill 6 elephants before they reach the third turn on the map yet the last wave is super fast and super armored that I can't even do half there damage before I lose...

Outstanding!. This game is very entertaining. I've been playing for over a year. I beat all the levels a long time ago but continue going back and trying various strategies in an attempt to get a perfect score. Thanks to the author for creating such a fun app.

Awesome game..need more levels. This game is challenging and an awful lot of fun. I beat all the levels with 3 stars each about 4 years ago. I delete the app every once in a while only to download and start over a month or two later. No advertising, which is great. You can absolutely 3-star every level without purchases if you use your brain. PLEEESE ADD MORE LEVELS!!!!!! That’s my only complaint

Good game. Needs more levels. Great tower defense game. But too few levels and strategy changes. Got stuck on one level and the rest were formulaic. Not required to spend any money to 3 star all the levels. Took me about a week to beat the game, so not much to do with it now. Consider adding an endless option? Just to see how many waves of zombies you can beat. At least then I wouldn't just delete it so fast

Challenge!. I like that after the first few, it's not too easy. Mostly because I wasted my zombie blaster, not knowing what it was, and couldn't get past level 6 :-P. But if you think and use some strategy, you can get 3 stars in all levels. Done within a week, though. I like the simple graphics and setup.

I love this game. If you can’t figure out how to win this game with out money, you have no patience. Every couple of years I redownload the game just to beat it all over again. It takes strategy. I always forget so it’s always fun to try and figure it out again.

Loads of fun!. With some thought you can pass all the levels but you will need to think about how you deploy your defenses to get three stars on every level. It can be done without spending any money. Even after finishing everything I still play when I have few free minutes.

Garbage game, DON’T GET IT. This game is a complete waste of time. It’s a joke at best. The only thing you win in this game is frustration. They put you in a position of either quit playing or pay up. Everything costs a lot in this game... Even an “easy mode”!!! Someone really was sitting at home and said to themselves “I know a great way to scam people out of money!” And made this game. CONCLUSION: It’s taken an overused (simple) concept, put a clown mask on it and managed to absolutely obliterate it. ...Thanks for your time.

!! Add More Levels !!. I absolutely LOVE this game. It brings a little of evrything I like into it. I really couldn’t ask for a better game. It’s is so not pay to win and so simple. I wish there were more games like this! It’s so fun! If you need to waste a little time because of a long drive a something, this is a great non-WiFi game that you should totally buy. I just wish so much they would add more levels, it’s just so much fun!

Fun but tough. Level 6 was hard but it can be done without purchasing anything. Might not be able to get 3 stars but you can pass it as then go back with power ups and try for 3 stars.

Terrible game!. I downloaded this game when I was a child and didn’t think much of this game. I deleted it and never thought about it again, until today. 5 years later, I am now realizing how bad this game was. I can’t believe that these reviews are real, because this game is terrible. For starters, you have to pay for everything! Also, there are way too less levels. I beat this thing in 30 minutes. There are only 4 defenses, the ice tower, dragon, cannon, and electric tower. The graphics are bad. If I were you, I would stay as far away I could to this game. Sorry if I have made any grammar mistakes by the way, typing this pretty fast. That pretty much wraps up the meats of this game. If you want to experience the true horrors that this world can give you, download this game. It’s free, do what ever you want, and would rate this as a 0 if I could.

You don’t have to pay to win..... Not sure why the negative reviews, most people probably do not realize there is an actual strategy to this game! The items you place and their location is critical to winning or losing! Also timing os very crucial. For example: elephants arr slow but hard targets. They yield more credits than any other enemy type in this game. So when you get done with an elephant, make sure you get more towers up! Hint: cannon towers pretty much rule this hame. Dragons, meh. Just strategically place these and a few slowing towers and you will eventually ace the level. The graphics are a bit old looking, the music and SFX are not the best. But, this game is FUN! Ive been playing it for a few years now(at least when I get a new phone and re-download it) I still go back and play the levels over again.

Amazing game but no updates. I remember playing this a very long time ago and started playing it again and god this was so fun but the issue is that there hasn’t been any new content in years and wish they would add more levels to bring the game back to life

Decent. This is a decent tower defence game, but there are a couple things that I think need to happen in order to deserve more than 3 stars. 1. There needs to be a briefing after every wave. Kind of like in bloons: tower defence. After a wave, zombies shouldn't immediately start coming. You should have to press a "next wave" button. I constantly find myself losing a lot of lives in between waves because I don't have the time to build more defences. 2. We need more free defences. It might seem like you wouldn't get as much money if you added free towers, but maybe you could make the app cost 99 cents to a couple dollars. 3. Cheaper purchases. A lot of the things you can buy for real money are rip-offs. I don't want to be mean, but let's be honest. 2 dollars for 2 potions??? That's a little crazy, and the other purchases are a little extravagant aswell. This, too may seem like a cut from your pay, but could be easily solved by making the app cost money.

Challenging, until you figure out the strategy. For all those that say you need money to beat the game, it’s just not true. I can beat all levels all stars and didn’t spend any money. You just need a strategy. I’m not going to give it here, but someone already gave the strategy in a previous review. It took a while (weeks) for me to figure out how to get all stars on some of the later levels, but the challenge is part of the fun. Again, no need to spend any money on this game, just place the right defenses in the right places. I really wish there were more levels though.

Strategy Needed!!. I love this game. Even after figuring out the strategy, I love going back and seeing if I can win in other ways. Sometimes I can, sometimes I can’t. Makes it a challenge. I really wish there were more levels.

Awesome & Addicting!!!. This game is a must download to pass time or just get your mind off of things for awhile. Simple but challenging! You will never play each level the same. I just keep playing and playing again:)

Needs more context. This game is a nice nostalgia hit for me because i grew up playing this one but i wish it had more content and wasn't so short and easy other then that it is a great game and I recommend it to whoever reads this

Fun game. Wish there were more levels. Took 1 day to get through all 12. Got stuck on one for awhile but with some thinking you can beat each level with ease to the point it's not even fun anymore. Oh well time to find a different game

Great game! Would give more stars. Ever since I got the game, I have been playing nonstop. This is a very addicting game that will make you think. My issues with the game is that there is only 12 levels, and I thought it was kinda easy once you unlocked the upgrades. I 3-starred all 12 levels with freeze, dragons, and cannons in a about an hour and a half.

Money, please.... Fast paced, fun and challenging. You can only attain level 6 before you need to break open the wallet and spend some cash to continue on. I love tower defense games and will play them for hours to figure out the best way to defeat the evil hordes. I read previous reviews on this game and took their suggestions on tower placement and selection. But without spending the $9.99, you are stuck on level 6. Sad.....

Literally the epitome of P2W and a blasphemous attempt at a TD. Disclaimer: P2W does not mean it is unsinkable without paying, however, the mere ability to do so is what unequivocally makes this game a prime example of P2W. These reviews HAVE to be fake or something. If you have any taste for TDs (I’m talking about the quality from WC3 on PC), then stay as far away from this garbage as possible. I had the cloud thing, indicating I’d played this TD before, but deleted it. I saw all the reviews looking for a new TD and I was like “Hey, I must have missed something here.” Nope. This is the EPITOME of P2W. Instead of just asking for an opening price and letting the game be rewarding. Want to start with 500 gold to win easy? 5 bucks, want 1000? Make it more, wanna start with 1500!?! That’ll cost more. Pay for no ads, pay for potions, pay for dogs..., pay for more than I can mention. The game is bad, it is the worst P2W I have ever seen (worse than EA yes), and I cannot believe these reviews are legitimate. Oh, and the graphics are terrible to even look at... I’d give this a 0 if I could.

They force you to give it 5 stars. It's a fun game I must say. It like most tower defense game I have played I say 4 stars because the fact threw force you to rate it 5 stars for free updates (didn't know you would have to pay for them normally)

Fun game.. This game is not nearly as hard as some of these other reviewers make it out to be. Quite frankly, if you can't make it past level 6 without spending money. You are BAD. The game is fun for passing the time. Experiment with different towers and upgrade them to get further in the game. Buy/Sell towers depending on the type of zombie wave. Just some tips for these baddies out there. Recommended.

Not P2W. I’ve beaten every level not letting a single thing by without paying a dime. I wish there were more levels to play, but it does seem to get repetitive once you know the strategies that work. Still really fun and I come back to it time to time. It’s not complicated like a lot of tower defense games on iOS

Life Changing. This game is so unbelievably good, 30 seconds ago I was poor, sad, lonely, and poor. But when I downloaded this game everything changed I found a dollar on the ground, talked to a woman, and took drugs. All my problems solved within 30 seconds of downloading this amazing game. I came back in contact with my mom to ask for money and I found another box I can add to my house. I couldn’t recommend to enough people if I tried. Breaking Bad is the best show except maybe The Wire.

Unfair. The game is really well constructed but it's not fair at all. There are zombies that go super fast and we still can't kill them no matter how many weapons we have and also we need to kill at least SEVEN or EIGHT zombies to get money for new weapons which will take forever for the bigger weapons. Don't get me started on the upgrades for the weapons you need more money and it all depends on the zombies and where u place your weapon. I think the path should not just be one straight line, there should be more paths!

Cannot go further without paying. I got up to level 6 and could not pass the round. Looked up online for suggestions and found everyone had similar problem from levels 4-6. Unless you buy items it's impossible to progress to next level.

Not Bad. Entertaining enough, but only 12 levels. Anyone with a bit of TD experience shouldn't find it too hard to get 3 stars in each level. You do NOT need to pay to progress. There are better TD games out there (Carrot Fantasy!) but this is fine for what it is.

Basic but real fun. It does what it says, pretty basic but very fun tower defense game. Those who could not pass the first few levels are quitters. If you are up for a challenge, doing 3 stars score in each scenario is totally doable. The ads on the free version are not too annoying, I have seen a lot worst. Too bad there are only about a dozen scenarios/levels though...

Another HUGE cash grab App. Have fun for the first few levels, but don't waste your money on this crappy App. Don't want to die while playing? Purchase the "Easy" version within the app. You need to purchase packs in the App to make it past the first few levels. It's a joke they call this a free App.

Short and sketchy. Theres only 12 levels (5 mins each). Giving you a total of 1 hr of entertainment. The app constantly tries to sell you things without telling you what you are getting or how much you are paying. Its also full of ads.

Very fun, simple, and addicting. I love tower defense games like this and this one was done very well, simple and easy to understand, it would be hard to be confused with this game, I just hope that sometime in the future their would be an expansion or major update adding more levels to the game.

You can win and never spend a dime. If your castle is being invaded it is because you are not setting up your defenses correctly. This game is pretty fun a bit short but fun. You have to think carefully before building defenses or upgrading them.

Make another game. U guys should make a sequel to this game it is amazing and u have played it so much and spent money on this game please make another game I will play it and spend more money I love this game it is the best game ever and u can make more money with a sequel.

Love this game but too short!. I love, love, love this game to the point that even though I have beat all 12 levels I still go back and play them again. I just wish that the developers would add more levels!

Fun- but too short- needs an update stat!. Ok- you do NOT have to spend any cash on this game- I beat it no problem after a few tries. Very good game mechanics and fun levels... However the game is too short! Going to delete and forget about it if no new levels are released!

I just reviewed it to get further in the game. So far it's pretty cool. It's kinda hard though, the graphics look like it wouldn't be that hard, but it is. I'm digging on it.

Level I hate you. Great game that makes you work for it without paying for anything. Except level 8. I hate you level 8.

Money money money. Basically, you have to pay real money for upgrades if you want to make it past the first few levels. To me this means there's no skill involved and you don't get anything for beating a level with no enemies making it to you tower. Also took a star off because they offered an upgrade if I rated 5 stars!

Addictive. I 1st played it on my sisters phone ..when i did i started off playing i played an hour straight . She then asked for her phone back then i just downloaded the app 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Solid tower defense offering. Solid gameplay, if not the most original. Plenty of play value, even in free version. Hope for further content with coming updates.

Easy to beat on free, too short. Looks like they aren't adding anything to this game anymore. There's only 12 levels and it took only a few hours to get full stars on each.

Favorite game this year. I love this game. It wasn't overloaded with ads and it didn't try to get me to buy anything extra. I finished the game during two flights and it passed the time well.

Good game to kill time. I am not a gamer myself but I stumbled upon this game and instantly got engrossed. I couldn't stop till I tried the next level and it went on and on. Needs some UX enhancements but overall it's good.

Awesome game!. At first, I thought this was just another one of those games that no one likes. I was bored and downloaded it and was amazed👌🏽😱! This game is way better then(in my opinion) clash of Royal or any other good stuff. Take my words... TRY IT!!!!

Best 'Game'. A game should be easy enough to understand and play and should not make you addicted.. You need to be able to leave it and pick back up easily. This game is perfect in this sense. I love it!

Challenging and addicting. I thought at first that it was impossible to beat the harder levels without buying perks, but with some major strategy anything is possible.

Perfect for little ones. Even though this is violent I think it's ok for younger kids. It's hard to find kill em games that I will allow my boys to play so this is a keeper. Enough soldier boy shoot em up stuff without making me cringe

One review was stupid becuase it says you can't progress without buying stuff. No this is not true it only took me 2 or less tries for each map. One of the worst games I've played. Wow this is really bad. The graphics and the poor backstory. I do everything I can to upgrade, and still some zombies get through.

!. The game started off fairly easy. But I'm getting annoyed. Why is there not an option to increase start of currency, decrease tower and upgrade cost, increase range, zombies drop more loot. Something. Towers cost too much, zombies are too strong. Plus it's not clear when you will even reach your next milestone or upgrade level.

It’s FREE. Idk what y’all are paying for...... But I didn’t HAVE to pay for anything..... it’s a fun game. But SHORT. It can be beat within a few days if played leisurely... within a few hrs if played straight. Wish it had more levels. Can’t be hard to create an update of some sort.

Hastily built tower game. Extremely limited and simple compared to most tower defense games. Only 10 levels (with no specialized gameplay whatsoever) and 4 types of towers. Once you discover the basic winning strategy it's quite easy to plow through the whole game. I'm not a particularly skilled gamer and I beat the whole thing in two days. If you're looking for a good tower defense game; look elsewhere

Ok. This game is fun but the elephants are op, you should be able to make money faster, upgraded towers should do more damage then they actually do, needs more towers and more far range towers. It's a entertaining game but there's a lot of things that need to be fix because I see potential but needs to be fix!!!!!!! :0

Shockingly, it’s amazing.. This game may seem like a cash grab at first, but it’s really not. It’s a strategic Tower Defense that is FREE. This games actually is quite advanced, even though it may not look it. Highly recommended!

Zombie Tower is the perfect waste of time. You get up early, drink coffee, go to work. You sit at a computer in a cramped little cubicle listening to telephones ringing and copy machines whirring all day. When you get a break, you play this game. Afterwards, your day will be made. My childhood. Look when I was like 6 or 5 I use to play this game a lot I only got pass ten level before I keep on losing but thank you for my childhood guys and it a fun game

Challenging!!. This app makes you think especially when you play this game early in the morning lol. Very frustrating at first, but you gotta keep trying in order to succeed.

Love!. Downloaded this game as I was looking for something different to play. Oh my! I loved it! Showed my husband... he loves it! Only complaint is so few levels! 😭 I beat the entire game within 6 hours..... yes it was that addicting. Hopefully I will see an update soon for more levels.

It's amazing. You should get this game there would be no regrets. You do not need to buy anything it is fun and sometimes a little difficult but what is the point if it is always easy

Good but almost impossible. This is a very fun game but the big bully guys are ridiculously strong. I've done lvl 6 atleast 30 times and I can't beat it cause of those things. They need to have there health lowered or something cause I'm about to just delete this game

Great tower game. Love it. While the graphics are a bit rudimentary soon you don't even notice because game play is darn exciting. CREATE NEW LEVELS or let players have the ability to design levels

Fun but could be better. Look this is an old game and could use a refreshing look at it. If you add more levels and towers, I think it would be better. Maybe even redo some of the graphics but that’s it

So fun!. I love this game. It is NOT pay to win as some claim. I have beat every level with three stars and never paid a penny. You have to try out different weapon configurations for each level.

Could be better, but still fun. It's a fun game, but the running zombies are too over powered, and you should be able to upgrade your towers and there should be more towers

Classic. I've played this game before and had to come back to it with this phone as well. Easy to learn, but hard to master, and a lot of fun along the way.

Why all the 5 stars?. Once you get a couple of levels you are forced to buy stuff to go any further. I don't like how games are going "free" and making you purchase things in order to play. Just make me pay for the game. At least at this point I know what I am getting into. Instead I waste my time on oh I have to spend money on a game that is "free".
