Excellent app. I don't typically rate apps but this one deserves it. I've looked for a decent mpg/maintenance app and never was happy with what I found. But this one has been excellent. The developer was quick to respond early on when I had questions. I hope the app is continued to be supported!

Very Nice App. I like the way it records fillup data and maintenance expense. This app displays clear reports for anyone trying to run a business.

iCloud support?. iCloud support - can't stress how much tats desired. Provide seamless sync across devices using iCloud. Please.

Great App and Great Developer. I've been using another app to track vehicle maintenance and fuel usage for several years. Now, that app is no longer available on the App Store and there is no support. So, I did some research and found Road Trip (MPG - iPhone, HD - iPad) to be the highest-rated of all the available comparable apps. Boy...I'm glad I did. First, I found the developer to be outstanding. I sent a help request and he responded in less than 10 minutes. Over the next couple of hours he assisted me getting the historical data for my 4 vehicles from my previously-used app imported into Road Trip. That's first-rate service! The layout of the app is nice and most importantly, the sync with Dropbox allows easy tracking of multiple vehicles on multiple IOS devices. This app and it's developer are outstanding! Buy with confidence!

So Far, So Perfect. Seems to do all that should need be done. Had another pretty good car app for years and a new IOS update defunct it....had this one for months now and it's great. Photo additional would be a nice link per insurance claims but the work around is easy. Highly recommended per no faults and ease of use. I like the backup to Dropbox and CSV format too.

Can't live without this app!!!. I own a two mustangs. This app helps me keep track of parts I've purchased, warranties on those parts, & helps me keep on top of maintenance. I don't know what I'd do without this app!

Love Road Trip!. I bought this a few years ago on my iPhone for documenting fuel refills. It is a great app that "just works." Not everything is obvious; I just discovered days ago that it has the ability to log individual trips as well. This is a great app and well worth the price.

Been using it for years. I got this app to track my motorcycle gas mileage because my bike has no fuel gauge. This app is nicely polished and high quality. It does a lot more than that, too. Keep track of maintenance and expenses related to your vehicle. The developer keeps updating, too.

Great MPG and Maintenance App. I'm a big fan of this app and its iPhone partner. Sure it would have been nice to pay for one universal app, but this developer seems very dedicated to both of them and is responsive to questions and suggestions. The app is useful right out of the box, but it's also versatile enough to fully customize the maintenance schedules and gas inputs. I track MPG for different brands of gas, not just types of gas (I only use regular). I can see which brands run better in my vehicle. I also really like the trip reports, it helps my carve out my fuel vs. maintenance expenses for business trips, making my personal budgeting easier. I highly recommend checking this app out, and I have tried about 5 others. This update fixed my two minor complaints, which were auto-decimals and Dropbox syncing happening more quickly. Thanks!

Fantastic App. Updated 1/2/22 This app works great, except I cannot share access with my wife. As we will be sharing vehicles this has become a huge issues. I’m removing 2 stars because there is no iCloud sharing ability. Original review: I love how this app does everything I need it to. It tracks services and fuel, plus syncs to iCloud so that my phone and iPad are always in sync. I’d love to see this iPad app turned into a Mac app too!

Dropbox?. Great app, but how do I get Dropbox to work? That is why I put 4 stars.

Very Useful App. I find the app very useful tracking fuel and maintenance expenses. If you own both an iPhone and iPad you would need to purchase both the iPhone and iPad versions. Sync between devices is made easy by using Dropbox. The only problem is that you have to remember to backup to or restore from Dropbox. This causes problems if you have two or more individuals using the same vehicle and fills up or has maintenance performed on a vehicle. If the data was stored in Dropbox and not on the device there would be no need to sync devices. With the app you can save service and repair cost but you cannot use the camera to scan the service/repair order to the data base for future use. Service reminders work great as long as you enter each gas fill up.

My Favorite - Use it for a lot of things. I’ve had this app for several autos and motorcycles now and find it extremely valuable and easy to use. I have a lot of information at my fingertips, at all times, and entry is easy and straightforward. I’ve started using the app for the house as well. The house takes the place of a “car” and I can schedule reminders, note when done, make notes, etc. Great customer service as well. My friends who have androids are really jealous.

Finally, what this type of app is supposed to be. I do a lot of traveling all over the country also mechanic and I like to take care of my cars been keeping very well-maintained and searching for a nap it was virtually impossible to find one that encompassed all of the things I was looking to track in a clear concise and orderly manner. This app is the only one that looks like it was put together by a mechanic. He possesses all the functionality one would expect in this type of application it is absolutely worth the $6.99! Props to the developer!

Great app so far!. After I figured out how to merge data between my iPhone and iPad via Dropbox without it creating a new vehicle this app rules! No complaints, keep up the good work!

Great app!. I’ve been using this app for years to track my wife’s car and my car. It’s helped me to save money at a mechanic when they recommend a service and all I need to do is consult my iPad (or iPhone). The downside is that the search function doesn’t touch the notes. So if you get 80,000 miles service completed, for example, you need to make a separate entry for each thing they do in order for it to pop up in search results. Since usually I go in for one thing at a time, that’s not that big of a deal for me.

Road trip HD. I really love this app. It is my favorite. As a former software developer I really appreciate the design of this product. It does everything I need and is easy to use. The support is outstanding. This app is a class product and I highly recommend it,

Does not transfer from iPad to iPhone. It says that it syncs your iPad, iPhone, and iTouch, but the app doesn't not transfer from the iPad to your iPhone. You have to purchase it twice. Cool app otherwise. Will help me keep track of my girlfriend's vehicle better since she does not.

Great application. Very happy.. I've been using this application since 2010 and I couldn't be happier with it. The user interface is well designed and makes data entry easy and simple. The resulting graphs from all of the data are beautifully presented and informative. The sync feature works seamlessly to keep data current on multiple devices. Support is fantastic as well. I've contacted them via email two times now and both times, I've received an answer back within hours. That is excellent response time. I never write reviews, but since Road Trip HD is the best app purchase that I've ever made from the App Store. I wanted to do what I could to support this great app and developer.

Excellent for all users but superb for iPad. I tried several mpg apps but nothing matches this one for completeness are visual appeal. Strongly recommended - great update cycle!

One more feature would make 5 stars. Easy to use, captures relevant info. Dropbox sync and multi-device support. Add PDF/JPEGs of service bills and it's a solid 5.

Great app, superb support!. I’ve been using Catamount’s MPG since back in the Newton days. Unfortunately, the upgrade to iOS 8 broke that app and I was suddenly stuck. I learned that Road Trip not only has a web app available to convert your data, but someone on the MPG forums said that Darren was very helpful in the transition. Fortunately, I had all my data on the iPad, but didn’t know how to read the sqlite database. I emailed Darren and within a day he replied that if I wanted to send him the sqlite data he’d convert it for me. So I did. It’s now been less than two days and I’m up and running on Road Trip and quite happy that I didn’t miss a beat with my motorcycle’s maintenance! I can’t recommend this app highly enough. If you’re coming from MPG, it’s a no-brainer. If you’re just looking to track your vehicle for the first time, it’s an obvious choice, and the fact that the developer is so thoughtful and available should make it a very clear choice of what to buy.

My go-to tracker. I'm a huge fan of tracking everything about my vehicles and this app knocks it out of the park. It is rare to see a tracker that even calculates for jerry cans which is nice for off-road enthusiasts and the like. The data entry is as efficient as it gets especially on the iPhone version. I mainly use the iPad version when I'm home and want to review the statistics and look at the projected maintenance schedule. This app really is must-have for me and I thank the Dev for putting in the time and thought on this one.

Beautiful App. I've been using this app for a couple of years (60,000 miles, many road trips) and love it's implementation and it's performance. Very few apps are done this nicely. No crashes, anticipates functions I'll want, updated interface only gets better. Syncing works well. Simple data entry. Good for logging fuel purchase and great for stats on long term car costs and mileage. Ability to create custom trips and time periods works great. I've never written a review before, but this one really deserves it.

Great App. Have been using thIs App for quite some time and have found it to be the best I have used. I track my cars, trucks and motorcycles. Does a great job with usage and grafts. Would like to see a seamless sync between devices an both iPhone and HD iPad app. Maybe the ability to print reports. Thanks

Love This App -- Cross Platform!. I have been using the iPhone version of this for a while, and I purchased the HD version because I have the new Mac M1 chipset so that iPad apps work natively! Well worth the purchase with the iCloud sync and the ability to view graphs and data from any device.

Great with multiple vehicles. I even use this to keep track of tractor hours and fuel. This app keeps getting better and better

The Best!!. I was a long time Gas Cubby then Fuelly user when Gas Cubby moved over. Really unhappy with the changes that affected my ability as a car enthusiast and detailed record keeper to maintain my vehicle records. I started searching for alternatives and found Road Trip HD. WOW! After I got all the records for my four cars imported and synced across my iPhone and iPad, I was stoked! Not only are the features so far beyond anything I've found in a car record keeping app, the ability to sync across devices and not have to trust someone else with my data is a big plus. This is hands down the best app of its kind I have found, and I know I'll be sharing it with my car buddies.

Great app!. All the info you could ask for, logically displayed in a beautiful interface. This update makes syncing between devices totally automatic, a brief manual process in the previous version. Support is good, with a quick response. After looking at others, and using some, I think this is the best app of its kind.

Excellent app. I'd been searching for an app to track my gas mileage, trips, and maintenance records on my vehicle and until this one, none ever fit the bill. I've been using this one now for many years and it has absolutely everything I need. I use it so regularly that it sits on the first page of my iPad.

User since 2009. Really glad to see the ability to export multiple vehicles at once. I have eleven units to track and backing them up now will be a breeze. Still would like to see it sync through iCloud, otherwise the app does exactly what I need it to do.

Love the app - ask for one improvement. Very good app. Looked at many available and pulled the trigger on this one. Don't regret it in the least. Feature I love the best - scheduled maintenance!! Our family normally kept all this info in written form. Great for keeping up with stuff but there was not a good system for looking into the future. I took the time to input all the data into Numbers (not a hard process at all - particularly with all the help on the web and in the app - great job on that front, developers!) I then imported everything into the app and was all set. I will say that I had to do it twice as I was learning the syntax for the columns and such but that's to be expected. I strongly recommend this if you're working for old, written data files. No need to lose that information. My suggestion for improvement - seamless syncing between devices. The whole "backup to Dropbox - merge between devices" is not best. When you merge entries, it does not delete old entries. For example, I recently replaced the engine air filter and logged it. When I merged the new entry (from the iPad to the iPhone), it kept the old entry and I still had a reminder that I needed to change my air filter. My workaround - just deleted the vehicle from the iPhone and download ALL entries from the iPad. Don't know how all the "cloud" software works but it seems that if you could put an entry on the iPad, it would automatically update the vehicle on the iPhone - and visa versa. I have this feature in several other apps so I know it's possible.

The best maintenance reminder. I am an RV hauler for a major company in Wakarusa, IN and had been looking for a maintenance program for a long time. I love the reminders for maintenance due!!

Best Auto Maintenance tracking-reminder for iPad/iPhone. I've been using PC based tools to track my automobile costs for a very long time and I'm very demanding in what I'm looking for. This app meets the primary requirements and, as a plus, I can use it on my iPhone and it all syncs via Dropbox. Maintenance reminders - it's got them! Easy to set up and easy to use. Tracking fuel usage - check. Tracking repairs and maintenance expenses - check. Statistics on fuel mileage and cost per mile - check. Track multiple vehicles - check. Export to Excel -check. It could use a separate tab for setting up reminders since it loads them at the top of the expense tab. It could also use some predefined maintenance items that you can rename as you wish. Would also like to see some predefined reports you can dump to a PDF and email. This app has a lot going for it and I'm glad I found it.

Used this and the iPhone version for years!. I have used both the iPad and iPhone editions for years. Always been a great product.

This is an outstanding application for keeping track of car maintenance, I live in Australia, it had litres and kilometres as we use on it, it reminds me when replacement items need servicing, and it does not crash like some other car maintenance apps, a well thought out "app" keep up the good work

Best Of Breed. Been Looking for a solid vehicle logbook / cost analysis app, this is it. This app is very comprehensive, well thought out and easy to use ( for the complexity )

Great App. Have now used both versions and they are great and easy to use. Storing backups in the cloud allows it to be transferred from iPad to another iPad if you change or have stolen the iPad that you originally was using and this means you have not lost the data. The data from the old version was also transferable to the new version which was good even though I had to pay the second time for the app (which is still cheap compared to Microsoft systems).

Most useful app I own .... This is a 'must have' if you care about the costs of running your vehicle. I've used this now for almost three years, and have learnt a lot in regards to driving habits, costs of maintenance and regulatory costs as part of the overall cost. It has never let me down, and has been the basis of many discussions with my 4wd friends, usually around the campfire with a cold beer. Well done to a very focussed and competent developer! UPDATE: now used it for 5 years and 8 vehicles. Still stunning and makes tracking costs and maintenance issues foolproof. Well done Darren.

One of the best apps on my iPad and phone.. I use this app to track expenses for two vehicles. It makes life so much easier. Never forget things like registration or insurance. I particularly like the way it forecasts expected dates for expenses based on previous kms. The Tyre log is very useful too. Easy to see your running expenses.

Great App. This is a great app, I've been looking for one like this for a long while as VehiCal no is useless and crashes non-stop. Would like them to add two things. -iCloud Sync -Both iPhone and iPad apps for one price. 5 Stars otherwise.

Easy!. I just moved into Road Trip HD on my iPad from the version on my older iPhone and all I did was email myself a backup, opened the .csv version and selected the option to open it in the new HD version. All my data is there and it looks great.

Great app.. I moved from a desktop app that I have been collecting stats in for the last 10+ years. Road Trip has replaced every feature of the desktop software and added the convenience of being able to use it on the go. The interface is well thought out, and easy to use. The maintenance reminders work better than my older desktop software, and this is priced at a fraction of what I had originally paid for it. I really appreciated the capability the author provided to import all of my old data. Great app!!!

Superb app!. Only thing I would add is adding the ability to add a photo of an expense receipt (dumps pic to cloud folder). Maybe Siri integration? “Siri, add new fuel expense” then it goes through the mileage reading, quantity and cost per unit. 10/10.

Quite useful. This application works quite nicely. I found quite useful for recording fuel consumption, and total cost of ownership. The only drawback is that the icons for each fill-up detract from the line graph.

Best one out there.. I love this app. I always keep my iPod with me and enter the fuel info. Import the data into iPad where I can review it at my leisure. Been using it since early 2010 and it just keeps getting better.

The Best Car Mileage App Available. If keeping track of vehicle expenses and tracking their cost is important. If you own multiple vehicles. If you have more than one IOS device. This app is the own to get for tracking and reporting your vehicle costs. I've had it on my iPhone for several years and find the information generated by the app very useful. I'm now finding the iPad version compliments the iPhone version with Dropbox syncing making it a dynamic duo. I own a daily SUV plus a collectible car and use Road Trip to track their costs. I'm amazed at the reports you can produce with the app. Plus the app will remind you of upcoming services and important insurance renewals. Get Road Trip and use it you'll be happy you did.

Very Nice!. I have been using Road Trip on my iphone since i bought my vehicle in june 2010. I've loved tHe apps so far. It as been à very good investment. Now with the iPad version, i have an even better way of examining my Data, and importing my Data from dropbox was a breeze. Great work...From a happy user.

Exactly what I need. For the last 7 years we have travelled from Canada to Mexico twice a year. I work in three currencies and US and metric units. Additionally l enter all my expenses for my vehicles. I also am able to track my overnights as we travel-by creating a “new vehicle” Bottom line: It’s easy to use. I love it!

Great App. I've been using this through 3 cars, 2 of them same model different years. I especially liked being able to 'bring' the snow tires over to the later model. By tracking expenses I'm able to tell when gas mileage takes a drop and get the car to my mechanic, for example.

Good. I used the lite version for some time, really liked it so I purchased the app on my iPad. Then I went to transfer the data but I can't because I didn't buy the app on my phone? Why do I have to purchase the app again so it's on my phone? Such an inconvenience and money grab. Won't suggest this app to anyone until this is fixed.

Amazing app I wish it had 2 things. I would have rated this app 5 stars however I feel it falls short on two levels. Before I get to them I do want to say that I swear by this app and religiously have tracked my two vehicles information for well over 1.5 years. I will continue to use it. Now to the developers please add the following 1. Allow me to take a picture of my receipts for fuel, maintenance etc. and have those pictures sync to Dropbox with the vehicle info. This would be huge for me when the tax man comes knocking on my door and for expense reporting for business. 2. Why should I have to buy the app for both my iPhone and iPad? I understand cost in developing both apps but it would be nice to only have to buy it once. Or at least add more functions to the iPad as mentioned above.
