Long-time user now stuck with mediocre “Lite” Version. I’ve had this app for over 5 years and have used the currency in multiple countries (e.g. China, Mexico, Canada, Italy, Ireland, etc). I also used this app mainly to convert units of measurement while cooking. Now, I find out that even though I have been a loyal user across many years, I am stuck watching ads before I can even select a unit of conversion. I don’t mind an occasional ad banner or two, but when you’re traveling to areas with low poor connection, it makes a world of difference. It is also frustrating to know that the privileges I had a free member are now available for a price in the App Store, since it is now required to pay to go beyond the “Lite” version. I had the app before there was a Lite version, and have been a loyal user through many changes and updates. This is not a good way to retain users, and frankly, I’m not sure I want the app anymore. This has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Add won’t quit!. I’ve used this app for years, but recently I’ve had an issue where the annoying ad pops up but the close button won’t become clickable....the only way to get rid of it is to click the ad and then click back to the app. SUPER ANNOYING! Soooo...I’m switching to a different app. You are the weakest app- Goodbye!

TRY THIS!. I've been using this app for both work & hobby. I am truly amazed at how easy this app is to use. Everything from metric to standard , money types, distances , even things like BTUs to watts! Things you didn't know you needed. Get this and Play.

Reliable and accurate. Great for currency exchanges when traveling and virtually any other conversion. Complete & up to date. I year later and still loving it. Converts everything.

Converting Made Easy!. This is the first conversion app I ever tried.. And I Haven't even thought about trying another! It's handled every single thing I've thrown at it! Once in a while when I get a brain fart and start struggling with the name and/or definition of a particular unit all I have to do is let the app guide me through the fog I've created for myself! It gives great information to help people understand exactly what they're looking for! The only errors that have come up with this app have been operator errors! I'm a lifer with this app!

Works Great for my use. Works great for my unit conversion. I realise there is a Pro without the Ad. However, I was never bother by the with footprint at the bottom. It is free and good for use always quick use

Convert Everything. This is a great app. I use it at work for converting measurements, at home for almost anything, and when traveling to figure out how much I am paying for something.

Best Conversion App. I use this all the time. It's great that it works off line. It's simple to use and updates when you're connected to the Internet. Some pop-ups ads but nothing still great.

Very easy, powerful converter app. In my hobby I go back and forth between millimeters and inches all the time when designing layouts. Once I have the units of measurement set up (takes 10 seconds) this app makes these conversions -so- easy! With the calculator app icon right next to this icon on my phone screen I can have my layout dimensions designed in just a moment.

Great product. I have used this product for several years. You do have to put up with some adds, but it is truly free. Great job developers

Great app!. I really like this app. I have used it for years. Recently, they have added advertisements. What a shame. ADS RUIN EVERYTHING! Yes, one can pay to get no ads. How sad is that. Pay to get rid of something that intentionally makes the app less enjoyable to use.

Too Many Adds on Added on Updates. This used to be an excellent app but now is degraded with too many within app advertisements making the app very difficult and not user friendly to use.

No Way to X Out of Ads!!!. Having to watch a short ad before using a free app is fair enough. But, the ads have been growing longer and more annoying. Today, the last straw: There is no “X” at the corner or other way to shut off the ad. It just keeps repeating. I guess that’s supposed to force me to buy the ad-less version. It’s just a units converter, and there are dozens of others to choose from. I’m outa here! (I expect a reply from the developer that states nothing has changed.)

Excellent. This app converts every unit of measurement and every currency. I've had it for over a year, use it frequently around the world, no problems. The advertising is slightly annoying, but hey, it's a free app :)

Convenient and easy to use. Very handy as so many measures are only shown in one method when the other is needed. Example had a scoop measure that shows cc only but needed to know oz Quickly gave me conversion amount . Use it frequently.

Impressive and simple app. This app looks simple and easy to use, but it exceeded my expectations. It can convert to various units without needing to use both web browser app & internet connection just for this necessity.

What’s with increase in advertising?. UPDATE: I’ve had enough. Deleting this app because of the massive increase in advertising. I have used this app for a couple years to convert measurements for the installation manuals I produce. While using it today, I’ve noticed a huge increase in advertising that covers the entire app, some of which cannot be closed for a period of time. Look, I get that this is the lite version and advertising is the way you make money. But there’s a tipping point. If this level of advertising continues, I will drop my rating to 1 star. I will delete the app and find something else. That may be a paid app, but it won’t be yours.

Incredibly Useful App. I use this app all the time and I've yet to find a unit it does not have. I constantly need to convert weight, length and volume to and from metric in the shop and this app does it all. Add to this the currency conversions ..... can't praise this app enough. Update: Two years later and this app is even better. Haven’t found a unit it doesn’t include yet and I should add that the ads in the lite version are the most non-intrusive of any app I’ve ever used. I really can’t think of any way in which it could be improved. Update: Three years later ...... Ditto!! Update 2: Five years later ..... Ditto!! Update 3: Seven, (eight?) years later ..... Yup - Ditto!!!

Extremely Handy. As the world gets smaller, we need to understand different units of measurement. This app does a great job. My main conversion is metric to standard, and vice versa. But it can do so much more!

It's really useful if u don't mind ads. There is a huge collection of measurement categories that u can select from. It it really useful if u need to make an accurate conversion, there are a few annoying pop up ads. But other then that no complaints

Works great most of time - can’t stand the ads. Only issue is that some ads pop up and you have no way of closing the ad. Seriously. Will have to find other options.

Adds are too annoying. I like this app, but the adds are ridiculous. I usually only need to do one quick conversion when I use it, but with the adds that pop up that I have to go through, it’s quicker just to pop open a web browser and do it that way. I will probably be deleting this app very soon.

Privacy and tracking experience is horrifying. Every single thing I do on phone, every app I use is recorded with 40 - 50 tracking data points (cookies) put on phone for tracking compilation. Most are 3rd party trackers. This is a huge problem! And this does not happen by mistake. Please check your privacy data being collected by your apps. This was even recorded data on my photos and messages!

Too Many Units!. While very through with almost every possible unit of measure to choose from, even the “Lite” version........ it suffers from the dreaded over complication and awkwardness typical when a software or app developer tries to provide too many choices that most people will never use, and clutters things up that affects general usability in the long run. There it is in one sentence!

Best one I’ve tried. I tried out a few unit conversion apps and this was the best one. I love how it lets you type in the unit you want and it automatically starts finding the units you might be looking for.

Long time user new time lover. I have been using this app for many years and, while it gets the job done, it hasn’t been memorable, until now. Yes, I would have given it five stars before now, because it does what I need it to do (don’t like the ads, but it’s lite. What can ya do?). Tonight I went in to covert and was thinking I wish I could remember the formula (yes, I am a math geek) and there it was! Right there on the screen! Swoon!! ❤️ An app after my own heart!!!

Works well. I am not the most tech savvy person and to say this app is a breeze is major praise. My sister is even more technologically challenged and she loves this app. It works without wifi and that is very helpful. I try to remember to update the app when I am around wifi so the currency converter is accurate.

Not as easy to use as most. Sometimes I have to re-invent the process to change units. It’s not too intuitive how to find the unit you’re looking for. The instruction from the Developer was the key. I believe this tip will make a comprehensive app much easier to use. I revised my initial 3 star rating to 5 stars, in part because of the quick Developer response.

self. Pretty comprehensive app for converting a multitude of units. I have not seen another app that covers all the bases. Easy to search for your subject unit. One small limitation/drawback is the app screen is a bit busy

Solid. This app does exactly what it says it does. Tons of options for conversions. I don't mind having to watch a 5 second ad before some selections. As a hobby farmer and do it your selfer, this app has been helpful.

Thoughtfully Complete. This is a terrific tool not just for learning which x = another x, but for finding things that you didn't know you wanted to know, you know? Every kid in school at any level should have this and play with it until their little head becomes so full of numbers and symbols and new things that they just have to lay their head down and have a nap. The design is elegant simplicity, especially for a function that needs to be complex in order to be thorough. Great job.

Very Helpful. I use this app often when I shop for certain recipes for a cooking class. Often times the measurement is in cups but the serving size is by tablespoon. I can easily convert while shopping. Very handy.

I love the app. I got this app after my other conversation app stopped working, now, I am actually glad that the old one stopped working, I love that it works offline and it even allows for custom units, as someone who does alot of math, being able to not have to think about changing from degrees to cardinal directions is great.

Quick and easy. Quick and easy to use if you know where to go. Find your measurement tap in the numbers and get the conversion it’s that simple. The only problem is if you don’t know what category your measurements falls under it’s a little time consuming. Other than that Great job !!

Good But Now Noisy. App works well. Use it all the time ... including when I’m in meetings or with customers. Not too happy that they’ve added loud promos I need to quickly mute. Unfortunately I will need to be careful how and when I use it now.

Converts almost everything. If this app can't convert what you want, you probably don't actually need it. I use it all of the time, love it. Should be one of the essentials.

Really a good app. I can't say enough about the ability of this app to convert anything. Strange measurements, science measurements, any kind of money, nothing stops the conversions.

Getting started. Upon the first tap to find a Unit for of conversion the app immediately switches to an advertisement for some silly game, which I have no interest in whatsoever. You can’t get out of this until you interact with the game before it will return to the original app. Once your back and can proceed. From that point it’s a great app but it is infuriating every time you want to get started with a conversion.

Conversation calculator. Its great, use it all the time. It unfortunate that now annoying adds pop up halfway through a calculation.

Frozen. I use this app almost every day, now it’s frozen, can’t change currency or digits. Tried restarting my phone, checked memory, checked wifi/4G, all fine, this app is acting up.. frozen.

Ad’s will drive you crazy. I’m a long time user of this app. Some backend changes have seen the lite version become unusable, as full screen Ad’s take over anytime you make an adjustment to the units you wish to convert.

Get it. Best conversion app available. Never had a conversion scenario that was not listed.

Fantastically useful. I honestly don't know how this app could be any better but I give it 4 out of 5 because there's always room for improvement. As it its fast, allows favourites, converts all units of measurement I need and it is free.

Adverts ruined once great app. I get the need for advertising to support free apps, however, the ads are now so intrusive it makes the app useable. App often locks up after a full screen ad appears. Sometimes the ad will disappear after a while, but more often it crashes the app. Was a brilliant free app, but now almost useless. Try the paid version instead.

Great companion. User friendly quick & easy. Use it regularly when traveling - quick conversion to the preferred temperature scale & everyday when wishing to convert a measurement or weight.

Scientific Unit Converter. This seems to be the only unit converter in the whole App Store that allows me to input a number in scientific notation!!! I need to input pressures like 1e-7 torr and convert to Pa or Bar or kPa. I need the answer in scientific notation as well. This seems to be the only unit converter app that allows this!!! Cannot believe it! App is going great. I will buy the full one.

First Rate. A comprehensive unit conversion program that has just about any unit you could ask for and works without fuss.

Best app ever. Someone recommended this app to us as we were going to Cambodia and Vietnam and was sweating over how we were going to work out the money. This app was used all the time. You do not need the internet. Whenever someone would tell us an amount in their currency we would just put it in and it would straight away tell us how much it was in Aussie dollars and we would then show the seller and was way easier than using their calculator and found it a lot easier to barter...110% recommend this app. It does all sorts of calculations, not just currency. The ads are minimal too

Great til recently. I use this almost daily but lately when I tap it (on my iPad) the screen just goes black and then throws me out. Works on my iPhone though. Tried deleting and reloading the app without success.

Great conversation app. This is a great unit conversion app with lots and lots of unit conversion options!!!!!

Works but ads are overly annoying. Works to convert units. Nicely coverts weird units like l/100km to m/gal. However ads are REALLY annoying. When you select the unit it will pops up a Google ad with no X or close capability, sometimes in complete Chinese text. Means your task takes 3x longer then it should. Will be deleting.

Length conversion. Finally figured it out, good to go now!

Conversion. Very pleased with app. Being a truck driver, really helps going from LBS to KGs when necessary. Since I updated the app today, it is frozen. Cannot enter numbers, change the conversion metrics.

Needs mi/kWh <-> kWh/100km. I tried adding mi/kWh to kWh/100km using the formula kWh/100km = 100 / 1.609344 / mi/kWh But that requires two new units, and I can’t find a way to customize two new units at once.

Pop up ads are a PO. Getting tired of the pop up ads, especially when they freeze the app. Going to just start using google. Don’t have time for pop up ads.

Mr I McMillan. Slow to scroll through the selection options eg trying to get to temperature because you scroll to T. Quicker way to get to previous or regularly selected options would be good

Great help. I use this app daily for work. Saves me a lot of time when converting measurements. Had to convert 55 gallons to ounces for price comparison, try that without a calculator.

Love it. It does what it’s supposed to. Love the favorite feature for measurements often used. I have a free version which I love the price of course that means I get commercials but I am cool with that.

Nice app for conversions but the ads can be really obnoxious. Simple, easy to use app. Lots of units to pick from. I would suggest sorting the units in order of most used ( i.e. mm over Mm). The ads with audio need to go, very obnoxious- especially in a professional work setting.

Downloads current money exchange rates. This app works great for anything I need to convert, especially for money as it downloads the exchange rate for the day.

Heat program & easy to use.. I have tried a few other programs and this one was easiest to you.

Review. I like that conversions can be saved for viewing when offline. Saved conversions can be grouped in user created folders.

Way too many ads. I downloaded the app and used it for about 2 minutes, during which I got so annoyed by all those ads that I decided to uninstall it immediately. There are many other alternatives that at least allow you to use it without being interrupted by annoying ads

User friendly. Easy to use to convert money every day when traveling. Easy to use when converting inches to feet when getting sq ft.

I use it nigh on DAILY!. I use this quite often, Celsius to Fahrenheit is always easier through this app. As well as metric to inch standard, though I can get close enough in my head. A Good Application. But I reach for this App Daily, sometimes multiple in a Day! I would buy an Upgraded edition, except I am on a very fixed income, this is one of my few regularly used Apps though.

Love it. Having lived overseas for the last 5 years. In valuable for currency distances and temps. But also do renovations so meters/ feet n inches were invaluable. But your pop adds are ridiculous. Why would I care about fried chicken?

Advertisements audio disrupts meetings!. It would be a 5 star review if the advertisements didn’t have audio. In a couple meeting with my managers and CEO and was covertly looking up conversions pertaining to the meeting and the audio blared disrupting the meeting and drawing frustrating looks my direction! Will be looking for a different app if the audio remains!
