Too limited to be useful. Only subway maps. No jr or keikyu lines you're better off just getting a paper map or using google maps. For example no haneda airport on map

Useless. Missing so many lines and stations as to be useless.

MUST HAVE for tourists in Tokyo. The Tokyo subway lines are very complex and extensive and one needs as much help as possible. I recently used this app to maneuver around Tokyo and its a great blessing. It helps find stations by location and provides best routes. Once you get the feel of it it's great. It's a must have app for Tokyo tourists

Awesome app!. This simple app made navigating through the intimidating subway system here in Japan a breeze. Highly recommended just for the ability to work offline alone. 🤗🇯🇵

Misses Major Stations. Good thing I know Tokyo well enough not to rely on this app. Misses major stations. Where is Shinagawa station which happens to be a major hub especially to travel to airport Haneda???

Incomplete, missing stations. Garbage. Missing Kuhombutsu Station. What else?

Great app for first time in Tokyo. This app was really helpful - loved being able to put in starting point and destination, getting directions and transfer points.

Don't visit Tokyo without this app!. This app seriously makes everything so easy! Searchable by attraction/point of interest too, so you'll always know which train to take. Works offline too. I will use this every time I visit Japan! ❤️🌸🇯🇵

Missing Yamanote/Seibu etc. Large number of major lines missing. It's serviceable but will take you on some wild goose chases when a direct route is available.

Useless. Map is incomplete - missing several of the other main lines in Tokyo, better off with paper map. Useless.

Seems to work ok. If you have ever been on the Tokyo metro you know what a nightmare it is.. This helps a lot

It's a subway not mass transit application!. Very useful for navigating a complex system in a foreign country with a different alphabet. I use it to get almost anywhere in the city from my hotel whether on business or pleasure.

Not bad.. By no means comprehensive, it doesn't include certain train lines. So a few times, not knowing this, it really tripped me up. After I got more used to the metro, this app was fine for most of my trips. It's layout is simple and very easy to read. But at the end of the day, Google Maps' directions were the best I saw while in Tokyo. I downloaded 3 metro apps and Google Maps is better than all of them.

Great concept but map is inaccurate. There is great potential here, the search function and route finder are incredibly useful...except that the layout and stops associated with each line are either out of date or simply not accurate. I live in the Tokyo area and I only about 1 in 3 routes I've tried in this function exist.. Plus there are many none listed easier routes that are not existed ( i.e. you can go from Tokyo to Shinjuku on the Maranuchu line...but according to this map you have to xfer...this is but one example.). Again good potential, just needs an updated map.

Very Confusin. Just stared using it and the initial impression is, if I use this app I am in a big trouble when I arrive to Tokyo.:(

Useless. Although accurate in its short reach, does not include many lines, private or from Japan railways. That makes this application useless for its purpose of finding the right connections anywhere in tokyo.

Tokyo Metro. This app would be more useful if you could select which rail companies to include and which ones to exclude. If you have a pass with one (such as Tokyo Metro) but don’t have another (such as JR), it doesn’t work. Basically you have to buy passes on them all to use this app.

Very useful. The ability to map transfers plus the ability to search on station names proved very useful

Limited value. The main value of this app is plugging in Point A and Point B and being able to see the best route. This counts for something. However, don’t expect to get much more benefit from this app than that. It is barely to read the map to get information from it, and the ads in the free version are truly annoying.

Slow and a bit unwieldy.. Hopefully it gets a bit clearer and includes gps tracking. Also, confusing that you put where you are not your destination from the beginning.

Very helpful. Traveled to Tokyo in March and the app helped a lot. Would recommend it to everyone. Shows how to get from point A to B, can choose shortest or most easiest says too.

Incomplete. Missing a large number of rail lines. Completely excludes all non urban lines such seibu. Wouldn't use this to navigate.

Not complete. In Tokyo for my second time and wanted to go the paperless guide route only to find this map is missing many key lines. As a result, it gives you inaccurate directions on how to go places, resulting in both increased transfers and increased fares. Its missing at least 5 lines that run through Ueno. Try another app.

Looks like it would be helpful but... It's missing lines and also doesn't give instructions on which way to go when getting on lines!

Incomplete!. Missing a large number of key lines. Not useful at all! Spend a dollar and purchase one of the other apps in the store.

Good in a pinch. This map isn't as comprehensive or easy to use as the real subway map that tourists can get from the Narita info booth at the airport. Nevertheless, it is quite handy when winging it, especially if you've seen the detailed map before.

Incomplete. Better off using Tokyo Rail Map+ Light.

Keep looking. To be fair, this app is only said to list the Tokyo metro SUBWAY lines. Which it does just fine. However, there are lots of major TRAIN lines that are widely used across Tokyo, as well. Why would they make a map showing just the subway lines and not the train lines? No JR Yamanote Line, no Chuo Line, Keio Inokashira Line, Odakyu Line, Denentoshi, Tokyuu Toyoko Line, Seibu Shinjuku Line... Get something with both subway lines AND train lines. Trust me.

Not good for Tokyo subway. If you get a Tokyo Subway pass, you will not be able to use the Yamanote line. This app sometimes shows you routes using that line and there are no alternatives or a way to get an alternative route.

Good, but not complete. I've used this app for several years. Overall, very good, though I thought the interface on the old version was better. Still needs to add JR lines though.

Very helpful in January-February 2014 trip. Easy to use. Allowed me to use the metro in Tokyo and feel entirely comfortable doing so.

Free and easy. So great to find a free subway planner for Tokyo! My complaint: it doesn't show the cost for the route, or let you choose routes based on cheapest possible way.

Map feature downgraded. This upgrade is reminiscent of Apple's faux pas with the IOS 6 upgrade. They smarten it up and overall it looks cleaner, but they downgraded the MAP part of the app. The old version map at least had the JR stations indicated so you can see a subway and know what was the closest Railroad station (Very important in Tokyo). Now all they have is the subway stop names. Suggest you put the Railroad stations back into the map and maybe even add a feature in the routing section for finding JR lines.

Useless. No ability to filter to only subway. Shows inefficient/illogical routes.

Great app. Very useful app for Central Tokyo Saves carrying a map around!

Doing it's job. People are complaining that it doesn't show JR lines. And they are correct because this is a SUBWAY map app! Farout.

What a timesaver!. This app is very easy to use and such a time saver. The Tokyo Metro is great but can be overwhelming for first-timers. This app takes the heartache about finding your way about. You just plug in your starting and finishing station and you get a choice of routes, plus an estimated travel time. You can then save this route for future reference. The designers have really thought about what a user needs on the subway Also, it's just a lot of fun to play with to get to know the Tokyo Metro. I've become an instant fan! Highly recommended.

Tokyo Subway Map. A nifty little achievement since I cannot find "Tokyo Wonderground" (The official app) , on the app store. Definitely worth getting while it's free!

Misleading. Because — unlike all the printed maps I've seen — it doesn't show the JR lines (in particular, the very useful JR-Yamanote line), it gives a misleading impression of the length of some journeys: e.g. Ebisu is the next station south of Shibuya on the Yamanote line and it would be silly to go via Roppongi.

Needs More Lines. Nice app, simple and straight forward. Needs more lines though. No JR lines.

Missing large parts of tokyo. As the title says. Many lines and suburbs missing from the map. Waste of time.

Perfect!. The perfect tool for exploring Tokyo

Quick and easy. Great app, easy to use and easier to work out routes than just using the map. Some niggles with the Tokyo data: 1. some stations appear to be missing from find station list so you have to tag them from the map. 2. Route times are suspect (double the estimate to be safe) and fastest route seems questionable. For example some line transfers involve a reasonably long (250m+) walk.

Made my trip easier!!. Used it during our recent 7 day, 1st ever Tokyo trip! it made planning the journeys easier and fun, love it.

Doesn't include JR stations. Useless without JR lines. I am trying to get to Hamamatsucho to get to Haneda Airport but the station in not listed!

Must have, very easy to use. Was recently in Tokyo. Had use other app. But found this one to be the most helpful and the easy to use of all. Very accurate. I give 100% on its functionality. Must have!!

Only metro. No jr on this map. Did before but then I updated it and jr lines disappeared and the overall look became worse. Not particularly helpful lacking surface trains. but it's free so might as well grab it.

Almost perfect. Super handy for navigating Tokyo, especially when offline. My only minor complaint is that it's missing JR stations so it took me awhile to realize some directions require a paper map to sort out

Find your way fast!. This app does just what it says, helps you navigate a complex and challenging urban transit system with ease. After a day or two of struggling, I installed this app and it was smooth riding from then on. Highly recommended!

Life saving app for new travelers to Tokyo!. This app is so darn useful! Seriously. Traveling around Tokyo this app is essential in finding the routes and locations to explore.

Very useful. This app turned out to be useful although it is somewhat incomplete if you need to connect to local train network.
