I Love This App. I get the breaking news before I have a chance to see the local news on tv. Lots of time while watching the news on tv I will get a alert on my phone about something that was breaking news before it was aired on tv.

WFMY. You guys are my go to for all the latest news. Love the weather segments, more accurate than any other stations. I appreciate all that y’all do.

Reliable news. CBS was a reliable, unbiased news channel 50-60 years ago when I first came to rely on it. Even watching and reading several other news channels and newspapers, I still go to CBS news because it continues to be reliable, unbiased news for local, national, and international news.

Too many ads and too many alerts. EDIT: I have changed this to one star. We had a tornado warning today and I couldn’t watch the live video without watching ads first. Not great for safety reasons. I would willingly pay to not have the ads. Some are constantly flashing and it’s not only distracting, but it gives me a headache and could cause someone to have a seizure. Seriously. Also, the alerts are out of control. Way too many. And I have most of them turned off.

Still Love News 2. I moved away from the Triad about a year ago, after 21 years in Greensboro. News 2 keeps me and my wife connected to the area we love so much. It’s been 3 years now since my wife and I moved from the triad after 21 years, to the Memphis TN metro area. We didn’t want leave, but ministry and being closer to her aging mom were more important. WFMY keeps us informed on what’s happening in our beloved Triad.

Good content, lots of ads. Worth installing for the news pushes, wish there weren’t so many ads. Maybe offer a paid version for a few $ a month?

So Informative!!. I absolutely love this! I have been in the loop ever since signing up! I switched from Fox 8 months ago and I am glad I did!!!! 2 is so informative and offers so much daily helpful information!!! Thank you News 2!!!!!

News2. News2 is always my go to source for local news and weather, whether I’m at home or using my cell phone away from home. Great job!

Great news team!. This is my favorite news channel in our area! Reliable news and updates throughout the day. And their “Verify” coverage is always interesting!

The Best of Both My Worlds. I have just moved to North Carolina from the Washington area. I started and ended my day with WUSA with reporters and anchors who were excellent in their delivery and reporting all aspects of the world, national, and local news. The weather was accurate headed by very experienced weather men and women. You could count on them to help you navigate wind, rain, sleet, and snow, sun, and Washington humidity! I immediately tuned in to WFMY and so far have experienced the same type of no nonsense coverage with very well schooled and professional persons. I wake up with checking my new WFMY app and of course my WUSA app. I look forward to getting to know the new kids on my block!

WFMY television. I have kept WFMY close at hand since I was 22 years old and I am now 77 years old. They are the best information source next to WBIG AM radio when they were a news source. Accolades to WFMY!! Thank you for the opportunity to support you! Jim Cook

News 2. Love the news team. I personally really hate the doomsday sounding music that is being played as they come on. So gloomy at a time we need a bit more positive while people are at home.

It’s MY station. Everything I need to know I find on News2 .. News, weather, what’s happening and what’s going to happen

FLASHING ADS. You have allowed so many flashing, scrolling ads for casino games that it’s totally distracting from reading information! Also , the other ads are so numerous that it’s difficult to follow the articles. Often the site jumps to a commercial without touching it. I think I’m going to stick to WXII website! You have apparently become so greedy you can’t even maintain a decent news site.

Weather. Trusted weather for my location in Montgomery County; very near Lake Tillery. Only Fox 8 shows our county except y’all. If YOU show us, then it’s pretty much set in stone!

Stimulus check. Why did Tanya Riviera show a chart with a timeline up through September showing when checks will be mailed depending upon the amount of adjusted gross income up to $200,000 a year when I thought you had to earn less than $75,000 in order to get the stimulus check?

News Journalists. Overall, I love your News Station,Weather Guys particularly, and just want the Real News!! I Don’t Want a Journalist’s OPINION!! I Don’t Want a BIASED,LIBERAL DEMOCRATIC Point of View!! When the Black Female (Tenesia?) Journalists is talking about Blacks ONLY going to Black Businesses since Protesting,Looting,Rioting,Burning Businesses, that’s VERY PREJUDICE,RACIAL, CAUSING FURTHER DIVISION and QUITE NERVEY on Her Part!! BLM, Antifa,Punks and Thugs DESTROYED White Businesses TOO!!!FAIR IS FAIR!! How do you even THINK that there can be Healing with That Mentality?? That’s Right!! It Can’t!!

Degrees. Liked the old format better. Channel 8 much easier to find what u want. Still like 2 but if in a hurry find myself going to 8.

Alerts are a Joke - Literally. I am compelled to leave a review to specifically address the many notifications I'm receiving. I got the app AND chose to allow "alerts" because I want to keep up with important, newsworthy, and possibly critical news or weather happening in the Triad. I DO NOT want to look at photos of a park in OH, eagles in FL, or bears in TN. These are not alerts!!! Other apps allow options for what type of alerts/news to push, but this one does not. So it's all or nothing, it seems. I hope the developers change this soon.

WFMY 2 review. I enjoy watching news but your station needs a little more black personnel on anchor and more exciting news people .

Charlie. Much too slow loading. News doesn't update often enough, especially on the weekends. Also, I have to delete then re-download the WFMY2 app to my iPhone periodically as the app stops taking me to the website. That doesn’t happen on my iPad. Sorry to be such a complainer.

My review. I love WFMY. All of the people are all down to earth and well informed. I hate the fact that I haven’t been able to see it for more than a month and a half. I wish Tegna and Dish can come together and make an amicable decision soon. I really miss you guys.

Patrice C. I am so upset that spectrum might decide to not show News2. You guys are like family. You have the most accurate news and weather Report around. After saying my prayers of waking up and going to bed; I begin and end my day with News2. The reason for this decision I don’t know. But I do know that it’s a big mistake. This makes me sad!!!😢 PS this is the only news Chanel I watch.

Current events. Keeps me updated with the happening of the day.

Homemaker. My days starts on tv2! I wouldn’t want to not have them the team, the family. It’s so real I live in High Point, NC just around corner from Greensboro.

Tradition!. WFMY or News 2 as my great grandma used to call it has been a forever tradition in my life! I can always count on knowing what is going on in my community and to hear it accurately. News 2 never disappoints!

Fair Review of the broadcasters for WFMY. Excellent broadcasters & try their best to bring the most accurate & true coverage of all news. Also all are very well dressed present themselves to their viewers as being very efficient.

My news right in my hand.. Enjoy the app so much. I always get the headlines when I need them, no need to cut the TV on. News2 kinda girl.

WFMY News 2. I enjoy having News 2 and reading the reports. The only improvement I would mention would be showing less advertisements.

Face the nation. The show which is now with Margaret Brennan has turned into a joke! I just watched her interrupt every interview with a Republican to not saying a word to interrupt a very idiotic liar who happens to be a Democrat. I thought the news was just supposed to tell us what’s going on. Not feed us what the news person believes in. She is an insult to the profession! Shame on you channel 2. You used to be much better.

WFMY News 2 TV viewer and top fan.. WFMY News 2 is “My Go To” local news, weather and sports station. I remember watching Channel 2 News w-a-a-a-ay back in the day when I was just a child, and have grown up and matured watching Channel 2 News❗️When some of the news anchors, meteorologists and sports castors of the early days are reflected on, I can remember more of them than not. great app.. app is very helpful, very easy to use. it’s flaw is when i try to watch live footage, during severe weather before every single video an unskippable ad plays, always 15-30sec long, which in a severe situation is VERY BAD..

News 2. It is definitely on my Tv 95% of the time!! I love the News 2 anchors and I watch the channel for ALL of my night time programs. So thank you for giving me the opportunity to give you ALL the stars possible! God Bless each and every one of you!! I am definitely a devoted fan forever!!

It’s okay. I like the app in general as far as layout is concerned. I don’t have any problems reading any of the stories. My biggest problem (and I consider it a major problem) is with watching the live newscasts; almost every time they go to commercial the app will close down. Very annoying!

WFMY. Miss the News and scheduled programming on WFMY. Sad that we are missing the final Jeopardy shows. The owner has cut off this one news source (CBS) from ABC,NBC, and FOX competitors sources. They do not seem to care if they lose the company.

Videos. Need more work on the videos. Many times when I get a notification with a video I go to look at it and all of a sudden it crashes and take me back to my desk top on my IPad.

LOVE MY CHANNEL 2. I love News 2. I have lived in the area since 1972 and have always watched your channel. The reporting, weather, and sports are top notch. Just keep it up.

It’s driving me crazy. I like the content. It has been working great. But then you made changes. You added sponsored stuff. Which doesn’t really bother me. But now the page keeps jumping back up to the top. I try to scroll through to see the headlines and choose what I want to read and it keeps jumping back to the beginning. Very annoying.

Rave. I have been watching channel 2 news and more my whole life, we’re family!!!

It’s a Tegna station. Need I say more?. Since the debut of the C-Clarity music package and graphics, channel 2 is not worth watching. Tegna has a habit of buying up heritage news stations and running them into the ground. The news comes from a leftist point of view and is quick to point out the newest health scare. At least WXII and WGHP are more balanced and try to be objective in their reporting. Either Cox or Bahakel should buy WFMY and do what they’ve done in the Charlotte market: more investigative reporting and human interest stories.

GREENSBORO NEWS FROM WFMY. My first go-to for local news is Greensboro WFMY News 2. They don’t just read off the teleprompter's, they live the news with all the rest of us. They are actively and personally involved in the community and with local inhabitants. They are both personable and professional.

Silly alerts late at night?. Yes, I can turn off alerts and notifications but receiving an alert at midnight on a Wednesday about a funny video showing a man slipping on the ice is a bit much. Could these possibly be limited to major local or national news items?

Needs improvements. The alert notifications should automatically take you the the story. It doesn’t make sense to click on an alert and go nowhere. The app freezes up a lot or just doesn’t load altogether.

Gives decent info. I like it, serves the purpose... biggest complaint is the ads on the page. ITS YOUR PAGE! WHY DO YOU NEED TO MAKE MONEY ON YOUR OWN PAGE????? So stupid... 5 stars for the channel but 1 star for the App.

Non-skippable ads before severe weather segments. In what world is it remotely okay to have non-skippable ads before watching severe weather reports? “You’re under a tornado warning and we’ll tell you if your home will be blown off the map right after this 60 second advertisement from Lumber Liquidators!”

News channel is great, app not so much. This app is flooded with ads and makes the experience horrible. Having to sit through ads when important information is needed at a moments notice is the worse. It’s understandable that these ads are needed but not when really important information needs to be distributed.

To many useless alerts. Send too much trivial stuff, I get alerts 15-20 times a day. Majority of which have very little significance to me. Or anyone else for that matter I would imagine. Also I tried three different odd nicknames and got the statement that they had all been used this I can’t believe I think you just don’t want this review. I’ll be canceling

OMG!. I love your content, but unfortunately the app won’t deliver it. I have removed and downloaded this three times and the app still freezes up or won’t load. If I get a notification it will open the app but the nothing. I hope you work out the kinks but for now I guess it’s other news apps!

Update. Since the update your app will not open on my iPod. The iOS is 12.5. Will you please include this version of iOS in your update.

Too many notifications. I like having my local news available but WFMY’s app has sent me entirely too many notifications. It’s 8am and I’ve got no less than 6 notifications already and it’s not even news related. I’ll use a different local news service.

Site unavailable. Would not work on iPhone . Always says no internet try again . The weather radar site works well. Once again the other local stations are better

1st to break headline news. I know that when WFMIYsends out a news flash it is breaking news. And I often stop to read it. They are far ahead of many of the other newer news agencies.

Good app with a fault. I really enjoy using the app, however it is absurd to get 57 notifications within a 24hour period.

WFMY tv. Ed is too silly. Some of the stories are not very interesting for the general public. You advertise news and weather. Weather with a little news would be more accurate. Cut back on the weather by 50% would be enough. Need more unbiased rather than liberal news. A little mommie and baby news goes a long way.

Don’t waste your time. They just started throwing endless and very frequent video ads at you that you cannot stop. They go on and on. This happens at least every second or third story in the news. This app is not worth having - all you see is ads and very little news.

Too choppy!. I was hoping this local news app would be at least OK but it needs lots of work! WFMY, please don't waste our time with shoddy workmanship! Too many ads appear before user can reach alerts. Most alerts are not urgent! Just minor news items that I don’t need.
