Outdated app better than new machine. Despite the lack of updates in years, this app earns my 5 stars! Having used this for a decade, I find it impossible to switch to newer noise machines. Heck, I got one for Christmas, and I've only used it for a couple weeks before turning back to SleepStream!

Works every time. I can be having difficulty sleeping and turning on this app is like magic. Thank you so much for making an actually usable free version. 

Awesome app!. I love this app! I have fibromyalgia and I use this app to help me relax during a flare up, boost my energy on days that I have chronic fatigue, and to help me sleep at night. I would definitely recommend it!

Used to be my favorite. What is with the ads? I paid for this app! And why is it taking so long to load? I am not a happy camper. I used to love sleep stream. 😭

How do I access files downloaded?. Works great except for not being able to access then sounds you downloaded. Show me how to get to them.

Thank you for this. It works? Soothing sounds, B Beats are amazing and seem to work, I feel relaxed. I have 3 little ones and love to lay in the tub with candles and peace and quit and put my headset on. Much appreciated. I told my Sis about it too. she's prone to anxiety attacks, let hope this can help her out

The First!!. This is the first app that ACTUALLY works so I can fall asleep!! All the others either had not enough sounds or too much to decide or just weird sounds or takes to much space as in TOO MUCH bytes. But This app doesn't have that kind of problems:) I LOVE THE SOUND OF RAIN!!!! Especially The only thing I disliked was the only one short piano music that repeated over and over again...but nothing is perfect. Other than that...this app is by far the BEST!!

It's ok. Its ok but almost all of the noises sound completely fake. But I think SOME of the waves sound somewhat real. There is ONLY 1 over lay & it's soft piano music that can get you kinda sleepy. Over all I think it's a good & I think every 1 has their 1 sound that they like. I only found 1 sound it was 1 of the waves with the piano over lay.

Perfect Sleep. I was having so many stressful situations in my life keeping me awake. I didn't want to take pills or 'a glass of wine before bed' so I came across this app looking for things to do 'since I was already awake'. Tried it. Worked the first time. Woke up and played it during my job search. Found more open positions to apply for because less stress. I play it while I write, on my way to interviews, everything! L O V E I T! Thank you!

Many choices.... This made me feel like I was asleep a month, but it was 20 minutes! This is a must have app. I'm going to use it again right now. Get the full version if you like this one. I didn't get the full version yet- but I want to stick with this one. Thanks for making this app! ps. Try deep sleep setting to fall asleep in a snap. I heard somebody else say 20 minute powernaps are the best. And before you click on deep sleep switch it to waves- that's my fave setting. What does meditation mean? Make more sleep stream apps. On all of them I will rate five! Can you make a hypnotize sound? Can you also make the full version free for a day? I love waves gurgling. It is a great app! I NEED MORE SLEEPSTREAM! Or I need more sleep apps. I love your company! And any haters of this app, don't leave a comment or a rating. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Great app and keep up the good work!

LOVE IT!. So many different combinations of sounds. I am new to BINARY BEATS and I like the way they tell you which ones are for what. The 20min power naps are awesome! It's a whole new experience in sound. Kudos!

So relaxing!!!. This is the best app ever!! If anyone has insomnia or just stressed out, you will love this!! I used it when I was staying at the hospital with a family member. After four days of only a couple of hours sleep, I was so tired and stressed that I couldn't sleep! I downloaded this and fell asleep in a recliner and woke up in the same position that I last remembered. Great job with this app!!!!

So helpful. Suffering from a major concussion for two months now. Found this last night and the stress to sleep tones actually help me get a full nights sleep and wake up feeling rested. May not be treating the concussion per say, but getting to that restful state easier after a full day of brain rest any help is worth it! Great app!!!

its wonderful. last night was the first time i ever used this app and i have to tell uu ihts wonderful and great for ppl who have trouble falling asleep or takes them a while to fall asleep ... usually it takes me about an hour or more for me to fall asleep but wen i used this app last night and used deep sleep i was knocked ouht in about 10 min tops , maybe lik 11 or 12 min and wen i woke up i havent felt so beautiful and calm ever ... i suggest this to everyone for a beautiful sleep

Works for me. I use this app every night. I notice that when I use it, I go to sleep faster and stay asleep at least 6 hours which is a high number of uninterrupted sleep hours for me.

Sleep stream 1. If I see “calm progressions” return, and some other music tracks bet I’m buying. For now this is decent, appreciate the hard work though.

Amazing sound app. I tried many of the competitor app before I found this one. Nothing compares. I started with this version and then bought the ultimate version. I fall asleep every night listening to sleep stream. I also listen to the other programs as needed. The only feature I wish they'd add is the ability to set a time for a program to start. I'd love for the Up beats to start when my alarm goes off. My sleepy brain just can't get myself to use that program in the morning! But even without that feature, hands down this is the best app out there.

Was a skeptic.... ...but this works! I use the deep sleep binaural rhythm with a thunder/rain combo every night while I sleep. I can definitely tell a difference in my sleep quality! I especially love that I can run it in the background. Great app!

App review. For the first time in years I am able to sleep through the night without waking up. I have started feeling more relaxed because of this. I've also used the learning aspect of this app. You feel like the information is really sinking in and being retained. I love this app.

Best I've come across. The ui is very intuitive and the "basic" options are comprehensive enough to get the full experience. Definitely looking forward to check out the dlc.

Not pleased. This app is more irritating than beneficial or even fun. The sounds are mechanical and playback seems slightly accelerated over the same sounds in real life. "Fire" is like someone crumpling a paper bag in front of a microphone. All the water sounds were like water gushing out of a tap or draining out of a bathtub, and instead of being relaxing, they just made me urgently want to pee. Oh, and then there's the problem of the app shutting down. It took multiple attempts to get the app to stay open long enough to try the free version. All in all, I do not recommend. I've used much better subliminal/sound effect apps before trying this one.

Outstanding!!. This is absolutely the best sleep / relaxation / meditation application on the marked. I immediately went for the pro version after testing this out. Must have!

Greatest app!!..... This app doesn't deserve to be free. It's like non other I have tried. It works just great. Too many choices to make your sleeping a great experience I highly recomend it. So here's my 5 stars. Thankx. For making it free.

Been using this for years.. Every night it plays in my ears to block out noise.

Best ambient drone sounds. This app has super dry drone sounds. I love those for their ability to drown out my husband’s snoring so I can fall asleep quickly. I would love to be able to play more than 1 at once. I downloaded this app in HD & regular so I run both and it works that way. This app really has the richest and most full sounds though.

Try the Binaural Beats. I originally downloaded this app for the white noise. It sounds similar to the fan that we keep running in our bedroom and when I'm staying at a hotel, I need that to help me fall asleep. Just recently, I watched an episode of Dr. Oz and he explained binaural beats. After downloading NUMEROUS other apps, I found that this app had them with more varieties too! I absolutely recommend this app 110%!

Absolutely the most gorgeous app!. It functions outside of the app, many noises to choose from, amazing quality. The full version is definitely a need to get. But for now the free version seems pretty helpful. :) love it!

love this app😴. I use this app EVERY night to drown out noises while I sleep. It's great because I don't have to carry around a sleep/sound machine when I travel, I can just push a button on my phone. I also love the using it for studying...the soft piano pieces along with the focus option are perfect! Thanks💜

The best pink noise. This is the best app to play continuous pink mouse. No pauses. No changes in volume. Phenomenal. Unfortunately it’s gotten glitchy so it looks like I’ll be buying the paid versions. Two years or more free. 100% worth it.

Oh my gosh!!!. I actually started to fall asleep(but it wasn't the apps fault when I didn't)!!!! So nice and peaceful... I love the rain sounds although the dry tones are kind of creepy to me!!! I love it!!! is how many stars i'd put it at if I could!!! I don't want to spend money( however little it may be) though on the full version but I wish I had it!!! This is enough for me though so thanks!!!

Brilliant Sounds. What impressed me most was the quality of the natural sounds. This is one of the rare "free" apps where the basic download is completely free and remains functional without the necessity of upgrading.

Happy. A good find for me. Reliable.. I have used the app for 3 weeks and think it's great for me. I just upgraded for a good deal on the paid version. Super app and I haven't found only one other that compares.

It's free, and its good too. It's a free good app. Just for the basics, I love it. Well worth the memory on my phone.

My most used app. So check it, it's like this, I got diagnosed with severe ADHD at 7 years old the medicines given to me had no effect wasn't till I was 23 did I learn why no medicines ever worked not even Advil or Tylenol. It turns out that I am hyperthyroid as well so I metabolize extremely fast so by the time, the time release coating dissolves my body has already started breaking it down. ADHD has gotten in the way of school as a kid and as an adult has caused problems with every job I've had, finally having had enough I looked into meditation next issue being able to sit longer that 5 min wasn't happening until I found this app now have much more control of the ADHD this job I have now is the longest I've ever held a job less irritable less anxious so much more patience all cause this app, not just for sleep but so much more thank you guys just to bad I can't afford to upgrade to pro, I just don't make enough to do all the in app purchases or I would have unlocked every feature by now but the fee version help me so much, so thank you

Limited Functionality, Annoying/Pestering Update Trolling. The app does have a good number of well designed sounds to choose from and a wide array of updates. Yet there is little to no ability to layer sounds. I cannot, for example, layer a thunderstorm with a fireplace, which should be the simplest form of enjoying this app. The more serious problem is the update trolling. Every single time I engage the app, even if it was already open in the background, a pop up ad interrupts and begs me to buy the new updates. It effectively ruins the ability to enjoy the app. Yes this is how they make their money. And so it shows the priority of the developers. They will beg you to buy new updates even if it ruins the fun of an app of which they've forgotten to increase the functionality. I would not bother purchasing this unless you want to be annoyed by begging pop ups.

Such An Amazing app!!. Seriously I never rate apps @ 5stars... I never even write good reviews!!!! But I loved this app soooo much that I bought the ultimate version and am still amazed that they both work!! Only suggestion please add an "Astral Projection" BBeat or isochron PLEEEAAASSSEEE

Best sleep sound app for free. I download so many of these types if apps. This has been the best. I like nature sounds, but can't find enough of the noise sounds. This app has quite a few. And one called "Oceanic 815!" awesome! Yay Lost!!!

Excellent!!. This app is what my 12 yr old son and I listen to every night. It calms us both down! Mentally and physically.. Many different relaxation sounds, sleep sounds, de-stress methods and sound. We love it.

Downloads don’t appear anywhere. I really do love this app (the reason for only 3 stars instead of 5) but I’ve downloaded at least 2 of the free additional tones and I’m not able to play them. It shows in the thread of tones offered that it’s installed but there are not in the list of standard tones that are provided. Very frustrating. I don’t want to purchase additional if I can’t even listen to the free downloads I have now.

Best app on my phone. I don't care enough to write reviews about apps other than this one. So useful! I use it for sleeping, meditation, and for learning retention. Easy to use with free beats while other free apps require you to buy them separately. I love this!

Unbelievable. I would pay a lot of money for this free app. Highly recommend you get it, just try out what sounds are best to you and volume

Wonderful amazing perfect. Only downside is it only made for headphones...would be nice if there was an option. But I understand headphones works best for binaural beats. Other than that it's amazing, wonderful, relaxing....the best!

Sounds like a CD skipping. I used to love this app. I used to be a huge fan of the "focus" and "learning" brainwave sounds, but now they don't work properly! Instead of a nice, smooth tone, it sounds like a scratched CD skipping. Definitely NOT conducive to focus or learning. I didn't realize how dependent on this app I really was for my studies (I'm in grad school) until I didn't have it anymore. I emailed the developer for help but got no response. I'm sad. And disappointed. Booo!

Still excellent. This has been my “go to” sleeping app for years. Find a setting you like and stick with it- it’s free and it works.

Not just for sleep. Not only does it put you to sleep , but it can also get you energized and ready to start the day. It also has a learning function. Best of all, it works. Sound therapy is fab.

Sleep and Relaxation. I am currently using the free version, and I use it all the time. The rain and oceans in particular catch my ear wonderfully. The quality using headphones is a little better than without, however, it still sounds peaceful coming from the speaker.

Awsome. This is a fabulous app. Very soothing and relaxing.

Doesn't work well on iPod touch 5.. Too many bugs. It sounds weird and the timer seems ridiculous.Hope someone can fix them.

Not cool. The most important part of the app, and the reason I downloaded, bin beats.... doesn't download correctly!!! The Droan noise is not exactly what I was paying for in a relaxing app solution to sleep deprivation. Fix it or take it off

Create energy or sleepiness?!. Best app for me. I have sooo many (free) hypnosis sleep apps, and sounds apps. This one has natural sounding sounds. Love that I can change my energy up or down. Might try the soothing options on my hectic 5 year old too!

Save me from stress. I did 3 CPA exams on Oct 25,27,28 which stress me out. I can't fall asleep and my heart beats fast.....I got this apps... I use it for 15mins combine the soft piano with the sound wave. It really helps. And on my way to exam, I put it to learning mode!;) super excellent

Like it but not sure about the bin beats. I like the look of the app and the sounds are good, the droning annoys me though. I didn't notice it at first but when I did I had to turn it off. I have anxiety so it doesn't take much to get me wired.

Rain sounds. I have general anxiety disorder and was not able to sleep a year ago, this program along with guided meditation was the only thing that could do it for me

What happened?. This app used to be user friendly and informative. I've even tried upgrading in the past (but found out it wasn't actually $2.99 as advertised, so cancelled). Now the formatting etc has changed dramatically and it's very difficult to select the option you want, I can't figure out how to access the sleep binaural beats any more and there's no info about the overlays. Previously I had read who created the Deepspace Ambient track but that info isn't available now either. I was going to upgrade this morning, even at the higher price, definitely not now :(

slightly disappointing but great idea anyway. I guess I may have downloaded this app with way to many expectations after reading the reviews. Some of the sounds were nice but I just couldn't get to sleep! I started spending heaps on the extra sounds & visuals with no luck. The 2 stars I give was purely that it was very relaxing.

Great. Could probably benefit from more combinations of gradual changes in binaural beats, and a wider range of background sounds

Fell asleep within 5 mins!!. I use this nap every night!! I couldn't sleep for days, would take me hours to fall asleep and eventually would go to sleep about 3 am and have to be up at 7... After 3 days of being cranky and miserable I decided to search the App Store for something on sleep found this and was asleep within minutes I was amazed and used it the next night with the same result!! Have told all my family and friends to get it... Now I use the app for meditation too!!

Humming!. It started off great till it started humming. I stopped all sound in the app and still it hummed! I got out of the app and it still hummed! I had to turn my phone off then back on! Was not very happy!

Disappointed (now). Enjoyed this app very much for 2 months until I upgraded (and paid for) SleepStream 2 Pro, now many of the selections (including sleep and deep sleep) do not function at all. I am most disappointed!

Best app ever. My son has listened to this from the day we bought him home from the hospital, still 9 months on he won't sleep without it. He sleeps longer and deeper while this plays. Don't dare turn it off. Love love love it. Plus I'm a mum of 3 and it takes ages to get to sleep, not using this app

Life changer. As someone who has ADHD, Anxiety and OCD, this app has changed my world. It helps me more than just sleeping, it helps calm me when I’m anxious, it helps me focus and concentrate especially when I’m studying and of course helps me relax making it easier for me to sleep. I love this app!

What happened to the lite version. The original was way better, blue dive is no where to be found as well as other sleepstream classics. Trash app

Many years. I’ve had this app for many years and I have always loved it!

App is glitching when any other app is opened. Hey there, I’ve enjoyed your app for many years but now I have a glitch. When the music is playing and I have it on in the background, as I’m winding down to sleep. Whenever I have my iPhone go to open another app or safari page or anything is loading, your app shuts off. The sound stream just stops. Causing me to open it up and turn it on again... only to have it shut off when I open something else. It’s super annoying. I’ve tried reinstalling it turning off and on my phone she updating my phone as well. Nothing is fixing it. Please help.

Love it!. It's a great multifunctioning app! I downloaded it for sleep aiding, but found the other functions such as stress relief and energy actually work great as well!

I'll buy the upgrade once the constant crashing gets fixed. It works well once you manage to get it started. But the app crashes multiple times on startup (iPhone 3gs/IOS 6.0). Keep re-starting it and say magical incantations. Eventually it runs.

Love it!. This is by far the best sounds and relaxation app I've come across. Use it with earbuds.. the sounds are so realistic.

Don't buy the add-on. It's a great app. The piano clips are too short so I wasted $2 on their other music packages. Terribly annoying. Save your money to buy the PRO version.

It's like you're right there!. I was listening to waves, and I found that it sounded like I could reach out and touch the waves. The sounds are really realistic. I love the waves gurgling.

This app is AWESOME!!!!!!!. I usually take a REALLY long time to get to sleep at night so I tried this app, and fell asleep within ten minutes!

Sleep awaits. It does exactly what it advertises, provide an audio background that greatly facilitates sleep. Also, the additional info/tips for sleeping are good.

Needs brown noise. I halve used so many different apps of this nature and this is really the most user friendly design/interface I have found - I only wish there was a brown noise recording! :(

Perfect. It says to use it with earphones, but I use it in my charging cradle and it's amazing. Have recommended this app to friends.

You just killed this app. The new interface is completely unusable. It is nearly impossible to select the white noise I am used to. This is something I use before bed and now I have to fumble with it for a long time to get it to work. This was a huge step backwards. Please test your app, I'm using a 6+.

I paid for this years ago now update removed features. Unmm hello?! This app was amazing then some update on a new phone and now it is missing all sorts of sounds I had before. Oh now they want you to buy a new version to get all the old sounds I originally paid for! This is illegal !

Lucid Dreaming. I've always enjoyed lucid dreaming whenever I had one, and have been able to have more lucid dreaming. This definatly helps me reach the REM state of sleep.

Awesome app!. I love this app! I have fibromyalgia and I use this app to help me relax during a flare up, boost my energy on days that I have chronic fatigue, and to help me sleep at night. I would definitely recommend it!

Nice. The app is cool but some weird stuff like depressing music and the dry drones scared me to death so I'm more awake..don't suggest using that. Half of the stuff makes me think about scary stuff but it's a cool app

Please fix bug issue!. When I first downloaded this app, it was amazing. But now I am having this problem where it keeps crashing whenever I go to the binaural beats section. :( Please fix!

Love this!!. Cons: KILLS battery soo easily (I usually plug it up and play it) Pros: you can play it with music from iPod I love this app, I've been using it for a few months. I like how there are a variety of rain types you can choose from. Suggestion: make rain slightly louder than music. songs, Eyes be Closed by Washed Out or a mix of Chopin or other favorite classical pieces makes for a WONDERFUL sleep!

Cant Say Enough Good Things!!. The BEST app for soothing ambient sounds that make you sleep like a baby!! I've tried several other apps to help me sleep but this is by far the ONLY one for me!!

Duplicate purchase. I already have this program n duplicates when I purchased and I don't want to be charged two times! And never the less doesn't have the tinnitus program, rip off!
