Great local newspaper. Recently canceled the Atlanta Journal after more than 30 years. I was tired of reading the liberal interpretation of the news. It is refreshing to read the news without the biased slants.

David Hunter. Great !!

Website Has Problems. !!

KB. Local news keeps a community healthy and informed. MDJ does a solid job of serving as the watchdog for Marietta and Cobb county.

MDJ online. Nice getting all of our local news without all of the paper.

e Edition will not load. I updated to the newer “better” version and now the e edition will not load. I did not need a bunch of glitzy online story links. I just want to read the paper on my device since the paper edition delivery does not always come early enough. Somebody is over thinking this. If you want to just read the paper this is not working.

First rate app. Great application. Smooth and faster than I am.

New and unimproved. The new version does not display any thing. I got it to work one time and now it does nothing.

Thank you!. I do appreciate receiving my digital subscription to the Marietta Daily Journal. This copy is perfect for my needs. Keep up the great work!

Only way to read the paper. Interface is very easy and usable. Much more convenient than the print addition.

Well done. Extremely easy to use. Light and simple. Good job mdj.

Poor download. Pitiful support as I try to download the app for a new Apple iPad. Contacted circulation not much help either. Best I got was it works for them. It is hard for old print news to keep up when users ask for tech support. I guess I will have to go elsewhere for local news? Disappointing.

Will not load. The e edition will not load on my phone or iPad.

Don't bother. It is not until after they gather all of your personal information that they tell you that this is not free. It costs at least $80 to subscribe. The MDJ should be more forthcoming about this.

Best Source for Local News. My go to source for local news and happenings!

Old Marietta. I grew up in Marietta and although I live in South Carolina now, Marietta is still important to me. I enjoy the local news but wish there were more “lifestyle” or social news. Marietta is still a small town at heart and I don’t need to read about national news or elections..there is enough of that on tv. I read the MDJ to get the local goings on.

Lame. No free trial? I like how you have to give all your personal info before you can subscribe. Then after you subscribe there is no free trial. Who pays for a service up front before knowing what you get? Ajc is free. I will continue to use AJC online before I get suckered into purchasing an app that could be full of bugs. Very lame!

Screen Freeze. Screen keeps freezing when I try to scroll through an article. I scroll, read, then can’t scroll for about five more seconds. Plenty of ads to read though. And I’m sick of the LOUD ad.

Doesn't work. App doesn't work. The first time I opened it it worked but now every time I open the app there's just this add that doesn't go away. I've tried restarting my phone and uninstalling and reinstalling the app

Mostly great. E edition works well, easy to read and the the bonus page is nice. There are only two problems with the e edition; I have to copy and print the crossword and the sudoku puzzles. The second problem is a bit more frustrating; every so often I have have to sign in with my password and that irritates me because I usually have to look up my ID and password before I have enjoy my coffee and paper ( that’s too much work before breakfast). Also, since we’re on the subject, the paper version of this newspaper doesn’t show up in my mailbox in the afternoon as promised. I have a feeling that the MDJ is counting on the idea that I will not miss the hard copy of the paper after a while and the MDJ will save printing and postal costs. If that is the intent of the MDJ you should just announce that intention. I do love the hard copy of paper especially for the crossword puzzle and sudoku. Also the newspaper comes in handy from time to time for various other things (If you would like a list of uses for yesterday’s hard copy I will be happy to supply it). Be that as it may, I do think Marietta would be a poorer city without the MDJ, E edition or hard copy. Thank you Bennett Frye

Ugh. This is the most frustrating and awful app. EVERY time I sign in, it says I don’t have an active subscription- which I do. The other option is to verify your account with your address, etc which does verify the account - However then you have to sign in again where it claims I don’t have an active subscription... it’s a viscous circle and like an idiot I keep trying thinking that one of these times it will actually work!

Reliable news coverage. I enjoy keeping up with the strong local/community news coverage that the MDJ provides, in addition to predominant national news stories. As a retired employee of the county school district, I have been concerned/disappointed over the years by your seemingly biased coverage of city vs. county school news; that is, the paper’s positive spin on all things that MCS does, combined with the negative tone toward whatever CCSD tries to accomplish. Since both organizations are in the same business that is so critical to our community and so important to our residents (and those seeking to move here), I would encourage you to strive continually for balance in your coverage of the local school districts. Call them out (both) when needed, but accentuate the positive (for both) programs and efforts to educate students and support teachers. As the news source for our county, I believe it is in your best interest to do so. Thanks for listening! Sincerely, Brian Boham

Stay up to date. An excellent way to stay up-to-date on what’s happening in Marietta City and in Cobb County, the MDJ electronic version online is perfect.

MDJ Digital Edition OK but….. It’s nice to be able to get the digital edition but it’s a pain to navigate and some stories are easy to miss. I was able to adjust to the 5 day home delivery but the USPS delivery was a disaster. I think the MDJ is shooting themselves in the foot by eliminating home delivery. I can’t believe any reader is happy with receiving their news in the mail that is already 24 hours old. Very disappointing.

Fix the LOUD SECURITY ad.. The Loud security ad at the beginning when opening the app. Is way old and needs to be refreshed or the dates taken off it makes the paper and the Loud security look bad to have old info.

Nice to check for high school sports news. Great to check for local high school sports news. Wish that there was a "share on Facebook" button. For now, I take a screenshot with my iPad and post photo on Facebook. Nice that I am able to pull up back editions just in case someone tells me about an article that I missed.

I don't actually know if I like it or not. You took all my personal information, then told me I had to pay for a subscription. I agree with others that a free trial would be better...or just charge for the app upfront.

Duplication of MANY other complaints. Yep, I have a digital subscription, and yep, I’m ALWAYS getting the subscription request each time I initially attempt to sign in. VERY frustrating!

Sports. 8 interns from different colleges working this summer with your paper. Thank you for giving them the great experience and wise guidance they received. Looking forward to reading the magazine they were responsible for writing the interviews of the different schools.

Great App. The App is easy to use and I like reading what looks like a newspaper. Zooming in to read the print and sharing articles are great features as well.

MDJ Online. Thoroughly enjoying MDJ app and it’s online edition. Great quick read in the morning to get the headlines. I also enjoy the local sports information.

Excellent App. I subscribe to both the Marietta Daily Journal and the Atlanta Journal. The MDJ App is much more user friendly than the AJC. I have nothing but good results with the MDJ and love the content as well as the ease of use.

Mtta daily journal. Pretty good paper

Love getting the latest news. Love having this app on my phone. It alerts me to the latest news so I know whats going on around my community.

As good as paper - and no recycling required!. Love the convenience. No early morning walk to the driveway required.

Marietta Living. I enjoy the MDJ keeping me up to date on what is going on in not just Marietta but all of Cobb County.

Terrible and buggy. I very rarely can access the information on this app. However, the pop up ad for Loud Security seems to ALWAYS work and is very difficult to close. Tried several times to access “today’s edition”, as I am a hard copy subscriber, but this is often impossible.

Forwarding articles. When I try to forward an article to Facebook, I’m sent to a blue page with 2 options and neither work. I’m stuck there and can’t go backwards or forward. I rebooted then I closed out the app and got nowhere.

Frustrating. Constantly crashes or freezes. Text is often blurred and unreadable. The constant reloading makes it take twice as long to read. The annoying pop up ads come through LOUD and clear however.

Unstable. Loud Security pop up at opening is often impossible to close. There appears to be no oversight of the app by anyone at MDJ management.

Login shmogin. This update was intended to improve speed and stability of login. I had no problems with login until I downloaded this update today. Now I can't login and the circulation department is closed all weekend. Fantastic update, not. Perhaps at some point the huge ad that covers the screen every time you try to login will be done away with. But I won't hold my breath waiting for that.

Disappointing. I cannot write a review because there is no way to trial the app. Please design so I can try out app performance before providing personal data and/or buying a subscription. At the very least let potential customers down load an old copy of the paper. MJD has experience with this since they give the paper version away for free on Thursdays.

We are so lucky to have such a fine local paper!. We have been taking the paper for many years, ever since the kids sports teams were covered, and we got used to learning about our community. It’s mostly conservative (truthful) and we hope it remains relavent for many years to come.

Easy to read. It’s so easy to read the MDJ on this app. We switched to digital only about a year ago, and we’ve been happy with it. No going out in the rain or cold for the newspaper in the driveway, no missed deliveries, and now we get a brief e-edition on Sunday and Monday, too.

Takes too much storage. Why does this app need 3GB of storage when it's not even running? AJC app only needs 1/3 of that.

Wonderful App. The MDJ app is a wonderful app supporting an award-winning local news source. Although my wife still wants her Saturday-Sunday sales papers and coupons, I find myself rarely reading the printed version anymore and opting instead for the digital version on this app. It is very easy to navigate and even allows the user to save a PDF version of each page selected. We have been very pleased!

MDJ. Great newspaper and app. Easy to navigate. Great options for reading. Only thing that is a little offensive is the constant John Loud commercials.

Worst website ever. This is the worst site I have experienced. I have a subscription for my mother, and it’s impossible to access my account information without wading through multiple attempts at trying to sell me another subscription or an ad for one of your advertisers. Whatever boneheaded web designer you used needs to be fired.

Marietta. Easy to use. One password gives access to all platforms.
