Korg I-Electribe Gorillaz version 1.0. Thanks Gorillaz, for the cool PCM/ beats. Thanks Korg again. Easy to trigger samples on this version. Can't seem to get original version of I - Electribe v1.5 to trigger sounds. I tried 2 different controllers with different cables no luck. I tried the Korg Legacy Controller as well w/ powered USB hub no luck. I know the Nano 2 series controllers are due soon, but all my gear works with IMS-20 as well. Korg apps are great with WIST. I'll get another IPad to link your IMS-20, with I-Electribe . Holding back 1 star for no control on original version. Waiting for samplers/ Kaoss / Synth gear . How about a M1. Thanks for the superior products. Waiting to hear from you.

Great from HipHop to House. This app is a great bargain compared to buying the actual drum machines- only limitation is your creativity-

Great Sampler loaded up for Gorillaz Fanz! But we want to load our own samples too!. Great idea by the Gorillaz and KORG. More bands should do this... All the KORG apps are excellent! But we'd really like an iESX, or even an iES1 - whatever you'd want to call a similar app that would let us load in our OWN samples. I'm still using my hardware ESX to this day, terrific machine.

Electribe I gorilaz versions. This ap is off the chain was worried about the 20 bucks but is well worth that and then some I am blown away by the sounds patterns and user interface kudos to korg

I dare you!. This is a seriously fun app and possibly the best looking one I've seen yet. For those of you moaning about the copyright clearance "clause", I dare you to make something worthy of being sued for it!

Gorillaz Ielectribe. I have enjoyed making music with this app ... Trying to figure out if it has automation features and if you can open more than the programmed sounds into each bank has been difficult but this seems to be more of a hobby based machine than a professional one and I have enjoyed making tracks on here so far!!!

NanoKontrol Studio. Great and fun app. How about updating the app so the NanoKontrol Studio can be native also instead of just the NanoKontrol 2? Thank you!

Needs more samples!. If you're reading Korg, I would like to make original songs, not remixes. I've made some grooves, but this needs an update with more samples, be it from Gorillaz or elsewhere. Please give us more sample options for making original songs.

Great App, but... I love this app! It's easy to use once you get the hang of it. The only thing that's not so great is that you just get the Gorillaz samples. Don't get me wrong, they're awesome. I just wish it had the original iElectribe samples too. And for the people crying about the copyright... That only Applies if you use the entire sample and it sounds exactly the same. It's their music. You can work around it by tweaking the settings so it sounds nothing like the original.

Update. Needs an update please

More than you think. This is great. It is better than the original; there are 16 samples for each of the eight triggers ( snare, kick, etc) giving you a total of 128 samples - all of them can be modified to make unique sounds. To access, go to the oscillator and click the gorillaz wave button to change the samples. Yes, you get the gorillaz samples, but you can tweak to make them unrecognizable. This is also really great to see how Damon used 128 samples to make a plethora of loops. And thanks to the gorillaz for sharing! Korg does it again. Keep up the good work. I would really like to be able to load in my own samples. Then it can be used by every musician to create killer songs!

Put on forth of july sale. All the korgs should be like five dollars are a dollar for forth of July

A very fun time killer. For $19.99 it's a fun little piece of software to play around with. Easy to learn and overall very fun.

I love it. Yes get this if u know what's good for u the sound is great the look is nice and dirty and it sounds and feel soo good love it I am a music producer it's apart of my tools in the studio

This app def seems good I just played with it for a lil while and I'm loving it ..I also own the og iElectribe and ims20 ,I just got a complain I actually own the FIRST korg nano series and is a BIG DISSAPOINTMENT that your own Korg products won't respond to these apps ,I really hope you guys do something about is in a near future . Other wise I would rate it 5 stars ...

Infinite Possibilities. At first glance, the knobs may seem limited and confusing. After playing with it for an hour or so, you start to see there's great depth in this app. There's a tutorial video in the "Help" menu that gives examples on how to have fun with it, which made me really let loose and mix with it more. I wish theres was a way to over lap and organize tracks though. If you want a way to spend hours experimenting with music, this is a good way to do it.

Waste of money!. Like musicians don't get ripped off enough! I want my money back! I thought I'd get a sweet sampler to write beats with, and it's simply another bunch of overpriced major label hype. You cant make anything without getting ripped by royalties - period. This should be illegal - I'm contacting my lawyer.

I like it!. I own all the Korg apps and they rule especially with the WIST tech. I don't listen to Gorillaz, but like the design of this app. New eye candy is good to get the creative juices flowing. I will be using these sounds any way I want though thats for sure. I could care less about sample clearance. ;)

Not as good as the ielectribe. Do not buy this one first the other is better. It is an ok app. The included samples are weak and get old quick.

It's cool. About what I was expecting. I maybe was hoping to be more surprised with more songs but it delivered just enough to make me not regret the purchase.

Audio copy does not work. Cannot get audio copy to work with garageband

Needs to be updated. It's recently starting to show bugs. It won't let me hit the play button when making something anymore. I can hit all the other buttons but play meaning I won't hear anything. I have had this app for a year now and it was done me wonders and is the reason I'm inspired to become a sound engineer so fix it and I'll give you 5 stars

I wish I had purchase the red version. 1- the skin is awful, please allow swapping! It is distracting 2- I though that I was buying the red app PLUS gorillas samples...not the case... You get the crappy gorillas samples INSTEAD of the Korg samples. 3- you need more tutorials online 4- no commercial works? Give me my money back ! Way too confusing. Cool interface but way too confusing.

Do this again but with a electric music uber guru! (no offense gorillaz, the people love you still). This kinda deserves a three for what it is, but I'm taking a musicians stance. It's great to look into the mind of an established artist, but gorillas isn't the best band for really making electronic music. What would be amazing, korg, would be to get daft punk, justice or bloodybeatroots to collaborate on one of these little marketing ploys, err I mean projects ;). The big problem with gorillas is they are so sample heavy and a musician can't really work with 40% of the instruments on here, unless you have the magnanimous skills of the original artists. That said, it is but ten bucks, and looking into how this band works is instructional. Now, a serious point, I hate programming melodies with a pitch bend knob. For goodness sakes, why is there no keyboard function like on my real etribe??! I suspect the other etribe is the same way so it holds me back from dropping more on the other ietribe. Now if DAFT PUNK did one of these id buy it even if there was no freaking user interface!!

This a real cop out!!!. Man, the only reason that I got this app was because it had the name KORG on it! (and it was on sale) That says it all, but I'm going to say more. I should have listened to the other reviews on this app because 90% of them said "don't get it", and I guess my review makes that 90.01%. Doesn't it. Please just totally redesign this app into, well, since you already have an iElectribe (which is a whole lot better) then just make it into something totally different. I won't mind that. I don't know what others would think since they bought it thinking that it was a Gorillaz iElectribe (which if it is I really don't think much of the band), but anyway, that having been said--at least just change those corny sounds like "oooooh" and "boooyah" which give me a headache they sound so bad. Thank you.

Seriously?. This is nothing more than the iElectribe with Gorillaz samples and a cheesy skin. If you own one, don't bother buying the other. Very disappointed.

Love this app. Was a little disappointed at first because I thought all my beats would sound like gorillas songs. Now that I have spent more time with it, I've seen that this isn't the case! This app gives you a ton of freedom over sounds and tones. Worth every penny!! Must buy!!!

Not Cool. Some of the graphics are low resolution and look awful. Copyright clearance is stupidity. The end.

Disappointment. I love the Gorillaz, but this app has nothing very good to offer. It's not very user friendly and doesn't offer much but the music of the fall. I am not happy with this at all and I would very much appreciate a refund!! GarageBand is a much better choice.

Copyright? Are you serious?. We have to obtain copyright clearance to publish? Korg, you can't be serious! Real nice trick putting that info at the very bottom of the info page. Going to Apple and U.S. Consumer Protection with this one. Deceptive representation of the product, unprofessional - possibly illegal.

iElectribe extension. The price is perhaps on the steep side and you're stuck with the samples- many of which are admittedly useless unless you're trying to remix Gorillaz. But if you shorten up the samples and use a core midi compliant keyboard to enter midi notes it can be a lot of fun, despite the 64-note sequence limitation. Most of the samples though aren't uniform in pitch / key so it takes a bit of work to find cohesive samples from the offerings here. The grain effect is very good. I understand there is a copyright on use, but nothing I've made here has really been good enough to carry through to a final mix. I come back to this more than the regular iElectribe because of midi note entry. It would be nice to see better IAA integration, or audio bus input.

Thanks. For fixing sound cloud log in. I hated having to log in after every time I bounced around apps. The app is great. Now if only there was a dedicated midi controller like the legacy controllers in the style of electribe. Then we could really turn this into a great machine. Guess Korg nano controllers will have to do. I understand this is a certain band branded unit but it would have been great if they let us import our own samples to promote creativity. If gorillas can do it it the I want to as well!

Pretty good. The way samples are handled in this is good, it's kind of like having an iElectribe S (as in a sampler) only without any ability to use your own samples. Fortunately they're good ones, I wonder how long it will be until they're overplayed though. Very easy to get some good rhythms going. On a related note I would love a new iElectribe like this one but with the ability to use your own samples!

Why?. Why in Australia do we pay $3 extra for this app when our dollar is worth more than the American.It is the same for all apps.Why the rip off Apple?Great app by the way.

Big beats in a small box!. Staggeringly good... I recently made some discoveries about just how much the stock sounds can be filtered and effected. I am thrilled about the rock solid chunky beats this beast can crank out. It's proper! Much preferred to the standard Electribe. Love the GUI great insight to Gorillaz world of song construction.

Excellent. Man, this app is addictive, where did all my time go. Don't mind the price it's a great drum machine and gives u an insight into how the Gorillaz can create their unique sounds. Is there anyway the developers could help us tune the pitch for each selection? I want to write a fat bass line but it's too hard to slow down the tempo, record and pray the knob tweaks hit the right tune. Watching the preset tunes tweak perfect notes when I can't is making me so upset. Cheers for this great app, really made my iPad mean so much more to me. Precious!

Cuts me off all the time!. When I first installed this app, no problems. Now it cuts my music off real time recording! Like, it looks like it's recorded everything, but when I go to hear it, it's always unfinished.

Music fun. Using this to connect to iPhone with korg SyncKontrol, then controlling my monotribe, takes you to levels of synth pleasure unseen before, best thing is so easy an not all messing around needed on proper pc systems

Confusing. This app is very confusing to use but I haven't read all of the instructions yet. There are some things I am confused about like changing things with the "gorillaz wave button" if I want to change a sound it stays the same for some reason. So far I haven't been able to get much freedom of control from this. I am a gorillas fan so thats why I got this app.

Just bought this super expensive app and it doesn't open.. This app is advertised from inside korg gadget, and I have always wanted it, but could never warrant the stupidly expensive price, bought it, hasn't been updated for iOS 8. Korg if you are going to have some of the most expensive music apps on the store, keep them up to date!

Nice app to do nothing with.... .... But if you can't use anything in your own public tracks, what's the point? I would rather have either an EA-1MkII emulation, or pay another $16.00 and have either an EMX or ESX...

Great. Remixing tracks is really fun!

Novelty. Because of the copyright clearance this app is more of a novelty. Its fun to mix around with their tracks from the fall album. I dont think it should be. $9.99 because it cant really be a music tool. Its a cool app none the less, a better app would be the korg ielectribe, no clearance for samples and puts out decent sounds.

There should be more. When I saw the app I thought that it would have all the beats and sounds from a gorillaz song. Instead there were only a few beats and sounds and I don’t actually think that this was from gorillaz.
