Great App!. I used to access the digital version of the newspaper through my browser. It worked ok but was a little tedious with choosing an article, opening it, then closing again, etc. The app however is class leading! Smooth, easy to navigate, allows easy expansion and contraction with standard iPad "pinching". Great job. I also read LA Times on browser and thought it superior, but the Breeze app now blows it away!

Love the paper, but not so much the 1.5GB app .... I really like the almost-a-real-paper in my hands feeling, and the editorial content. But, it uses WAY too much of precious memory space! Update - After deleting the app, then reinstalling, it is only 63MB! Either the app or the OS has a memory management issue. We will watch and see how it grows ...

Daily Breeze App. I love reading the daily breeze on my iPad! It’s very convenient. I can read the paper while traveling and keep up with local news and also read it anytime after its publication release in the early morning hours or for days or weeks later since it is in electronic format

East to use app. Great app. Very easy to navigate and read.

App changes. I was happy with this app until the newest changes. My husband and like to read the paper in landscape view and the changes to the app has removed the ability view in la escape mode. Please fix it.

Read the Daily Breeze Daily. I’ve read this paper for about 60 years, as a native of the South Bay. When we left the area I was delighted to find that I could continue reading in online and continue to enjoy it. While you are not as politically biased as many news sites, you do lean left which I try to ignore. My brother in law loves to do crosswords, so while reading my paper I make screenshots of the crosswords for him. Our whole family appreciates this paper. As an aside, when the Breeze was on Pacific Avenue I won an art competition and was told that I had won a World Atlas and an encyclopedia yearbook. The year would have been 1959. I walked down from North Paulina to pick up my prize and was flabbergasted to find that the Atlas was about 11” x 15” x 1.25”! My mom had to come and pick me up, of course. That was a lot of pounds of books. I still have the Atlas, even thought certainly some of the countries have changed their names.

Home town news with no agenda.. What a news source should do the Daily Breeze does. Information with no hate.

Daily Breeze apt is awesome.. Love not having to wait for the paper delivery.

Hub of activity.. I was a long time reader of the delivered Daily Breeze. Deliveries were inconsistent. Coming after 7:00 am. I was already gone to work, so it’s sitting there all day telling burglars that nobody is home. So the virtual newspaper is great for me.

Copying and pasting. I really enjoy the online edition of the Daily Breeze, but many of the articles, especially the shorter ones, have parts of the original article pasted twice and that is a bit discombobulating to the reader - me. Being able to handle my iPhone instead of getting the ink from the newsprint on my hands and then having to wash them is wonderful. And the news reporting, especially the local news, is great. Too tight of center. While I’d not quite call it extremist, it is too far right for me to take its editorial content seriously and it’s skewed perspective has gone a long way towards normalizing Donald Trump’s bizarre behavior and damage inflicted upon our country

Torrance Daily Breeze ❤️. We enjoy the convenience of being able to read this paper anywhere, anytime and saving the trees at the same time. We need more trees because the population keeps growing. Love the net version, however I do miss flipping though the pages.

Feels Like I Have the Paper in My Hand. Yes it looks like the print edition but I like the look and being able to flip pages. You miss a lot when newspaper apps just digitize the stories and omit all the other info they provide. I like the fact I can also read ads.

Online Paper. The online paper is very convenient for me and I can read it on my iPhone or iPad. I enjoy it very much.

Local News. We’re glad to have the Daily Breeze back in our home. First of all, with the app there is no more paper waste and of course all of our old fish goes for garden fertilizer, and anyway who can afford to waste fish? More importantly, we were once part of the News Pilot family and stuck with the Breeze despite its need to become less Pedro oriented. The final blow for us was when the Breeze refused to renew our subscription at our existing rate. We were done. It appears the Breeze has rediscovered the value of the Pedro market and is now again telling our stories in a balanced fashion. As long as the subscription rate is fair, the news is Pedro news (news that is a better balance than with other publications) , we are in.

Love the Daily Breeze. I have been reading the Daily Breeze for a number of years. Having had the paper delivered to my home for years... I now rather enjoy the eEdition; It’s nice not to waste paper any more. Somethings I like... The layout of the paper. I find the articles are a reliable source for information. It’s real nice to be able to send and print articles and look up past days at a glance. Thank you everyone at the Daily Breeze. . .

Great when traveling. It is so nice to be able to keep up with local news while away from home.

Dishonest current revision. Never bothered to mention that the newest update would force current readers to purchase a subscription for continual use.

Better than other newspaper apps .... ... if you’re using a large iPad/tablet in landscape (horizontal) mode: You see two full pages, side-by-side. Click on an article, and it appears in place of the right hand page in readable typeface —very fast and convenient.

Long time subscriber. Your news group offers up well written balanced coverage of current happenings. Your opinion writers always force me to think. Your E edition format is a now perfected. Good job! But I must admit that I still enjoy holding newsprint in my hand.

Version 3.7.0 is terrible. Not sure where the improvement was. The previous version was much better. Please fix it so it can be viewed in landscape mode again. Thanks

40 year subscriber. The Dailybreeze is always a good source of local information, I enjoy reading it daily.

Storage problem. We love using this app to read the Daily Breeze in newspaper format. However, we noticed that it is using a lot of storage space. We went to editions and cleared the storage and found no change in the usage in settings. If it continues to increase, the app will have to go.

Covid 19. I sent an article to the DB about RB’s lack of mask wearing consistency or enforcement. Since the new wave of illness in California, the city’s lackadaisical attitude is a beacon only to non residents. I wonder if any RB leaders were anywhere near the RB Pier on Christmas Day. Had they been , they would have seen only a disappointing few adhering to Dr Fauci’s pleas of mask wearing and 6-feet distancing. One possible solution ? Just as RB provides for dogs with free doggy bags, would it be possible to attach a similarly free mask container near by? Then, everyone has access to a sanitary mask to wear when they need it most. 25-year subscriber; now loving the new app. I first subscribed to the Daily Breeze a quarter-century ago in SoCal as a new resident to Manhattan Beach. A young middle-school neighbor stopped by our home while we were moving in to sell us a subscription through his school club. We signed up in 1996 and have been loyal subscribers ever since—first enjoying the hard-copy paper delivered to our home forover two decades. A couple years ago my husband and I added digital access. Now we’re digital only—and we’re lowering our carbon footprint and never looking back I read the DB on my phone and my iPad. Love the new app. Love the paper. Love the journalists and editorialists. Love the sports coverage—especially of local teams. Kudos on a great new app and a terrific daily local paper.

Possibly one of the most useless news apps. All this app does is let you zoom around on the actual paper. It is far from a leap into the digital publishing format. Like the Daily Breeze's website, it shows they don't get this next leap.

Not free anymore- DELETED. Was okay when it was free, but not worth paying for as they just spew the same biased news commentaries(facts missing, no research performed, did not provide input from both sides of the aisle) as all the other news apps. HAPPILY DELETED.

Glitchy new app. Whatever they did in the last upgrade is terrible. Unable to tap into a single article. Sometimes when you click you can scroll down. First paper delivery was spotty so we moved online. Now we can’t even get the online version consistently. Disappointing

Much better than before. Daily Breeze has changed their digital format which has made reading the paper much better. Also, they now send email alerts on certain highlights that may be of interest where you can immediately zone in on to read.
