Excellent!. I rarely rate apps because they are usually so-so (average quality). This one is great, very much user friendly, and has my 6 year old son doing claymation!!

Almost great.... Great and simple, and free app. The problems are: You need to select your photos one by one when doing a stop motion. Number 2, It takes quite some time to load in my case. But overall I think this is really great because you can upload photos, and it’s free!

This app is better than any other stop motion app👍. So I try this app and it’s called imotion so I download it and I click new movie I chose manual and there I was starting to make the brick film and then I go to tools and guess what... there was a flash light so that means I can have lighting but it’s not that good because it shines on everything but its still good you can also use the onion skin tool so you can see where you put your mini figure at. Screw stop motion studio I’m going to use imotion the best stop motion app in the world👍👍👍👍👍

Something that’s good. I’ve been trying to make stop motions ever since I Started watching them. This is something you definitely want to have this start you are making stop motion videos. This is an important thing for anyone who wants to start making the motion videos!

Good app. This app is really good for taking pictures, especially with the onion skin option. My only complaint would be if your importing images it tends to close out or freeze causing it to be quite a hassle. Other than that a very good app.

Need to fit more photos.. I was making a scene, but I could only use 100 photos at a time. Also, I would like it to be slower because I can’t see what’s going on and it is very fast, even at the slowest.

This app is AMAZING. For so long I wanted to be an animator for this kind of stuff but I didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t figure out how to use stop motion and it really sucked. But with this app it’s like a whole new world of creativity that opened up. so yeah, this app is awesome! I recommend it

Love it!. I use this for stop motions, and it’s super easy to make them look really good! There are a few options like the frame in frame (I guess that’s what you call it?) where you can see your last picture along with the current frame to see if the movement will look choppy or not. I think that it’s really easy for people new to stop motion to use. No real complaints.

Awesome. This is great for diy gifs and movies! It takes time so it’s good for plane rides and times that are super boring for kids like back to school night.

GREATEST STOP MOTION APP EVER!!!. Okay, So, Imotion is a very simple (in a 👍 way) and fun to make. But ☝️ suggestion I want to make is to delete the camera sounds. Sometimes I try to lower the volume, but in my memory it didn’t work. Anyway, as I was saying, this is a 👍 app and I ❤️ how much simple and easy it is to make a stop motion. If my friends ever want to make stop motions, I will definitely suggest this app. I actually downloaded this app because of 🏫, and I loved 🥰 it. I still use it, especially after the new upgrade. I would ❤️ it if you upgrade more. I ❤️ making videos so this app is perfect 🤩 for me. And I would also ❤️ it if you changed the colors a little bit, just to make it a little more brighter. That’s all I could suggest. This is the best stop motion app I’ve ever seen! 😍

My opinion. I love this app in this app you can get really creative about what you make and you can learn new techniques for stop motion have fun

Can’t see the video. Uploaded 12 pictures from my phone to test a short stop motion video. If you press stop/start you can see the numbers in the top right count off but you can’t see the pictures at all, just a black screen. Paid for the pro version and it’s crap. Just a waste of money.

And second there is no way to even control the camera, the pictures or pretty much all of that stuff. My overall opinion is that this app is way to difficult and hard to understand and get used to.

Pretty good. This app isn’t to bad, I thought 200 photos would be the max but I got over 200. If you buy the full version it might be a little better but the free version is still good

Strange issue. I’ve had this app for years and have used it for various things. I thing it is the best app for time lapses. The only issue is, about 100 pictures in multiple frames are blacked out. And by multiple I mean the majority. This is not an issue I’ve experienced in the past and I can only imagine it is a bug. If this issue were not there I would give it a 5 star review. I want to go to the paid version, but I’m afraid this issue will persist there as well and it would be a waste of money.

Great App Only One Problem. This app was great it had everything needed it had extra features and was planned out very nice the only problem I have is that you can use the camera facing the screen and not the camera on the back it would make editing and frame taking much easier. But still This app is amazing and has everything you need.

Got Problems.... I have found a bug, when my photos get past 89, the photos get scrambled up. So I have this one scene then it cuts and goes to another scene for 15 photos and then goes back.

Great app!. This app is a great stop motion app, and I really like the setup. Although, the premium version is not nearly as great as the Stop Motion Studio Premium. That app does have more effects, but this app is an overall amazing app! I do definitely recommend the iMotion app!

No pay. I love the app its great for a camera app honestly but you you have to pay for something so simple so I prefer clips over it.

Great app but.... It’s a great app but, there is one major problem that is messing up all of my videos. It doesn’t line up photos correctly if you leave and come back. Example: You start a movie then do something else. Then you resume it when you come back and start taking photos. The photos will almost always be at the beginning not where you want them to be, at the end. PLEASE FIX THIS DEVELOPERS.

Worst app ever. I was trying to make a stop motion video but every time I would make a little progress the whole app would stop working. The pause/resume button would break and it would just continue the video no matter how many times I pressed the button. The time-lapse would not stop and the images would keep going at lightning speed. I was not able to use this app at all.

What?. Can’t take pictures for stop motion. I checked and it says that camera is activated for the app. Friend recommended this. What?What? It looks great when my friend showed me it but it’s not working.

Great app. This app is great for beginner stop motion animators. You can take lots of photos for the videos you make and there are other helpful tools to try out like a grid and there’s a feature that allows you to use your phone flashlight as well. I like to use this app for taking the pictures and then edit them more in iMovie to add music and transitions. This app is free and easy to use. You can also look at the gallery on there and see what other creators who use the app have made and take inspiration from that. You can see pay money for extra tool options they have.

Amazing app!💖. I’m just a beginner on stop motion and any form of animation but this app allows me to make work like a professional! You can also take inspiration from others with the gallery and that’s what I did. My work came out (in my opinion) even better than the one who I took inspiration from! One thing though. The option “take photo” is REALLY sensitive. I put the iPad down to do something before I take the next shot and it take a photo when I set it down, leaving one of the shots black. That’s all that annoys me!

No ability to import entire albums?. This app seems to have everything I need except the ability to import entire albums. I’m trying to import hundreds of stills and I don’t want to have to select each image individually. Am I missing something?

Bugs. I just did a purchase for the full app so we can import already taken pictures. This was disappointing as it cropped the images which cut out important details. Also, anytime you go to tools and go back, the app shrinks the window making the app basically unusable. I really would appreciate it being fixed or a refund. This was not what I was expecting.

Great app. Great app doesn’t fail unlimited pics and video frame playback and download options clear video pics timmer available good for hobbies or project. Keep it this way good app

Black images. So I bought this app to do a time lapse video of my pool install. After getting all the pictures on my phone and uploaded to this app, every single one in the playback was black. I had 78 pictures and watched as it counted all 78 pictures without displaying one of the 78. Just all black slides. All of these pictures were screenshots so not sure if that has anything to do with it but I passed by 5 other apps before getting this one definitely shouldn’t have stopped when I did. Tried to email app support but apparently that isn’t a thing for these guys.

Old School App. I appreciate that the design of this app remains reminiscent of the early days of iPhone apps, and that simultaneously, the app works really well and can produce some wonderful films.

Actually super fun!. Hi! Recently I sent in a review saying that this was most non-used app. Well that has changed quite a bit on the past few weeks! Since I found out about the iMotion gallery! Now I spend a lot of time time watching the videos on there!

Meh, horrible. I don’t like this because all my videos were spoiled. That was because iMotion switched the order of my frames. Also it’s controls are hard to use. 0 directions,or help. Also it blanks out in the middle of my film. This is horrible. Please change and update this app.

Problems. I made a movie but then when I tried to save it to my photo library, it didn’t work. Tried everything. I tried restarting my IPad, but that didn’t work. After trying to do stuff in the settings, when I came back into the app, all my stuff was deleted! 😭

Thank god this existed. Guess what today for art class I had to use stop motion and I used this app and it was much easier!Thanks for making this game!

It’s good. This is actually worth it. You can easily upload videos to your gallery, but a tip, press “remote” to make a stop motion. It’s an app worth getting, and the people that make it did a good job and probably put a lot of work into the development of this stop motion app. 😁

Honest opinion. I had a veryyyyyy hard time with it it made my photos black and the it would only show like 3 actual photos so whatever the issue could you please fix I don’t know if it was that I had over than 200 photos so I would like to try it without at least 200 photos so I would try it out thanks for stopping by! Fun app.... I’ve had iMotion for little while now, and it’s turned out to be a really cool app, with the onion skin. I don’t know how others like this but I definitely like it. But one time when I was looking at my movie I got it stuck on the reverse icon, and lost my work.

Meh. I like the app itself, but one problem that completely ruins it all for me is it messes up the order of my frames, and many of my stopmotions have been spoiled because of this. Please fix this, and I would make it 5 stars, but this just ruins it all. I have spent 3 hours of time on stopmotions that end up mismatched, and I don’t want to waste more time. Thank you!

Finally... Your app has the one feature that every camera app simply doesn’t have or charges for. I’m not gonna say what it is but thank you for having it and having it free.

I have a bug. So I was using the mode where you use pictures to make a movie. Once I finished the photos weren’t showing it was just black I’m really upset about it because I tried everything. I tried deleting photos and apps to make more storage. I tried deleting all my imotions I tried redownloading the app but nothing worked please fix this soon. Thanks.

The easiest time lapse app. Why can't other time-lapse apps be this good and this easy? No calculating intervals at 30fps before you start - just choose your speed at the end. The sound-activated stop-motion is fabulous - I've seen 4 year-olds get great results. Highly recommended.

AMAZING!. I use this app for animating and it’s the best. I draw my animation Frames In Procreate. Then I import them into here and it just does it for me! Definitely recommend.

A little disappointed unfortunately. I was so excited to find a great app for my time lapse videos….. until I went to resume the recordings, as doing painting Timelapse’s, so takes ages, and I’m devastated as the app mixes up the video and it makes no sense. I thought it may have been a one off, but no!…. Second and third attempts were the same …. So annoying ! Send an email for support about a month ago and have heard absolutely nothing back. Shame as is good for short videos that you don’t need to resume 😫

Ok. Great for simple, one shot takes but editing and compiling multiple videos is almost impossible. I did a video and paused the shot to let paint dry however the end result was the order of the photos completely wrong. I had to export all pictures and compile them in a different app.

Do not pay for pro feature. Wanted to stitch some photos from my library together to make a time lapse. So bought the pro version to access this feature. However when I paid for it the app only gave me a selection of 14 photos (I have over 15,000 photos on my phone) from my phone library, none of which are the photos I wanted to use. Very disappointed.

I Movie. Was in my opinion the upmost best stop motion app, however it’s too expensive to get the full version so I gave it a 4/5 ⭐️rating.

Need to be able to adjust imported photos. I needed a stop motion app for photos I already have so paid to get the full app but to my disappointment when you upload the photos from your phone you can adjust them so they get chopped off. Tried to crop them before adding them but didn’t make any difference :/ So at the moment not much use for me unfortunately so it’s a shame I didn’t know this before purchasing the app

False advertising - can’t import images from the app. Upgraded to the paid app to be able to import images from my iPhone. The import button is there and it doesn’t work. The app doesn’t have a chat button or help section either

Yes! Yes! Yes!. It is absolutely amazing! Stop-motion is so awesome! Get this app! It's very easy! You just need too take around 170 pictures! Anyway I have read some of the reviews on this app with some titled "Does not work." This is just some advice for the Stop-Motion not time-lapse. It does work, when ur done with ur stop-motion you probably keep on hitting display and it comes up with complicated stuff but if you press stop(twice) then you're stop-motion will start! I know it's a bit confusing because 'Display' means the way you want to display it and 'Stop' means stop taking pictures and start the stop motion. Anyway this is a.... great great great great great great great great great great great great great great APP! Heed my advice!

Deleted my photos/videos. So I am a stop motion animator and I wanted to change from stop motion and I watched a vid saying this app was good I got it and it was fine at first then it lagged and my pictures are black then it worked again then the camera on my iPad did not allow the app and my other apps then it restarted my iPad then did some more pictures then my pictures and videos got deleted without me knowing I am so sad cause I lost a snapchat log in and a insta log in I am so sad 😭😭😭😭

Could be better. You should be able to add sound effects for free

Pretty good app. I would recommend using stop motion studio instead, as you can add sound for free and view the video while still in the process of making it, allowing you to view exactly what you have so far. Decent app overall though.

It’s great. Although if it’s over 50 images it tends to mix the photos to wrong spots

The best I've found. This is the best I've found namely because the video out is good quality up to 1024 X 768 And the only app like it I've found where saved output can be used in IMovie. That sealed the deal. All other apps I can't use the video In iMovie. Won't import. This has then... All you need. Less effects than others but higher quality and straightforward. Highly recommend.

Good program, but some SERIOUS ISSUES. Ok, so I made this complex whiteboard animation that I was super proud of. It had a lot of frames and I was really looking forward to watching it. It brought my into display, and the screen instantly went black. The frames were going, but I couldn’t see my animation! I was really upset and tried everything to fix it, but nothing worked!! YOU NEED TO FIX THIS!! Other than that, the program is ok for short animations.

Not working. At first I thought this all was amazing but I was working on a school project and I had just finally added the perfect voice over and the app kicked me off like it will let me into the app and it shows that my video is there but as soon as I click on my video And it sends me back to my phones home screen. I tried to delete a bunch of my apps to maybe make it work but it still didn’t work. Does anyone have any advise

Export Not Working. Used to love this app but since the last update, every time I finish a time-lapse and export to my camera roll on my iPhone 5s I get an error and it won't save it. Not much good if the only way I can view my finished product is in the app itself. Please fix this issue.

Disappointed. Very disappointed.. I'm getting really sick and tired of people calling their apps free when they're really not. Please be honest with your customers. You have a great product here. If you charged $1.99 for your app up front, I would've had no problem buying it. But because you were dishonest, posting it as free and then not even letting me export my movie without making the in app "upgrade" of $1.99, I'm going to buy Time lapse Pro instead. At least they're honest about their price from the get go.

Good time-lapse app, if you purchase the full version.. Don't waste your time creating a serious time-lapse movie because you're limited to saving your work to the iMotion server, until you purchase the full version. Otherwise, it has a couple of great features for a time-lapse app such as an fps slider, and an option to delete individual frames in a rendered movie.

really good for beginners!. i like it because it’s so simple and intuitive. great user interface too. my one complaint is that a lot of the features are locked behind a pay-wall. other than that, i’d recommend it!

Misleading. This app is misleading! I downloading it thinking from the description that you can add multiple video and they play out in a movie format but NO! It takes clips of your videos and put them in a quick snapshot picture collage. Waste of $3.99!!!!

It’s awesome!. I started out with 5 videos for one day. Maybe I’ll do 6 or 7 today! Anyway, it IS awesome.

Limited. Can't import video and turn existing video into a time lapse: it'll only import the first frame of your video You have to manually tap each photo when importing. Would be nice to be able to slide your finger to select multiple photos quickly like how it works in the native Photos app Tried adding music to my time lapse video but it doesn't work Since I needed to buy the full version to import any existing photos and try it out, I got stuck with this mediocre app.

This is pretty neat. I’ve used this for a while and it is alright. I honestly have no problems with this app.

Zoom in. A zoom in and out feature is all I need.

Doesn’t import all photos. The app is only importing a random selection of my photos, not all of them, and unfortunately not the ones I want to use. Disappointing. Otherwise it works just like I want it to. Not useful to me as is.

Deleted videos. I tried two times to make a stop motion video both times iMotion deleted the videos so I could not view them I do not recommend this app

Poor. 200 photos max??? I just paid 4 dollars for useless. No way to select all photos in an album either. So I had to click 200 individual photos for it to say "only 200 please" upon clicking 201. DELETE. How do I get a refund? I would like a refund please.

Good free app. Not too buggy, free version has decent features. Great for stop-motion.

What?. It’s fun and all but once I started it a couple minutes later it started crashing then I plugged it in and then my screen kept flickering!

Can’t import Apple Music?!. Directions aren’t clear enough! Can’t upload my Apple Music!

I agree too!. Multiple frames are blacked out and it is annoying!

Deleting pictures. I can’t find a way to delete pictures so often I have to start my movies over.

What???!!!!. When I ever I made a movie and it just sits in the galley fore a minute the whole motion is backwards the end is the start and the start is the end idk if I recommend

Restore purchase?. Can anyone explain what restore purchase means? I pressed that and it said “successfully purchase” did I buy it or what happened? But I can not import any photo

Great app. My son makes Lego movies with this app and they look great.

False Advertisement. Bought the app to stitch GoPro footage time lapse stills. The app advertises unlimited footage, but you can only import 100 photos at a time. You have to individually click each photo then remember where you left off. Would not recommend.

Do a Green screen with it. I a green screen with it because I change the background color imotion

great but 1 problem please fix. the app itself is great i made one of my smoothest stop motions with it but one problem. somethimes a majority of frames move to other places of the clip and i want to know how i can move frames so i can put the frames in the right spot. please acknowledge this and fix the issue thanks 4stars

Does not allow you to import photos from files.. Is there a way to import from files, as opposed to just from the gallery? This would be a nice feature.

Imported images are blank. This works well for stop motion, but I paid $4 to unlock ability to import files and it produces a blank black video.

Not what I’m looking for. I don’t like that they make you pay to import photos because I just made a stop motion and my app glitches now and won’t let me make my movie fast enough so I don’t recommend this app

Easy but….. It’s easier BUT it’s has less features then stop motion studios and more stuff is pay for

Amazing app. My kid loves this an uses this all the time to make stop motion movies, this is a great app!
