Good, not great. I've used this app for many years now. It seems the auto mode does not work like it used to in the past. I do enjoy the effects it offers and do recommend it for those wanting to "up" their pic game.

Awesome app. Easy to use very creative I’m still learning some of the effects. I would definitely recommend this app.

Doesn’t work anything like the slick demo.. Help is two animations of unreal effects that don’treflect reality of this app. Support is a link to a single web page with no links to support. For the app: You can’t control the transparency so red is pink, purple is lilac, etc. over gray photo. You can’t do anything but bright and half transparent colors. There are no blacks. Very disappointing. I’m going to ask Apple for a cancellation and refund.

Meh. Loaded with so many ads it seems like I can’t do more than 1 action without having to sit through a full page ad. Having a vibrating ad in form of an icon for another app under the appearance of looking like a coloring tool is very deceptive. Also having to tap on unlabeled tools to see what they do to find out Auto only gets 1 use before needing to upgrade - cmon. Seriously?

Love it❤️. Did a really great job;) I love this app it's a must have, or at least a try. I don't know who would not love it though 😍 it's a lot of fun and easy to do. Have fun creating new memories, and embracing them with color!😘

Ads. Seems like fun but I keep getting questions in the middle of trying to apply changes. Once I got past that I truly enjoyed this app in the manual setting

Could be good. I have the PC version of this program and it’s great, however, this app is far from great. Most notably when you are zoomed in on an area to make detailed color adjustments the app reverts back to a non zoomed state constantly while using my Apple Pencil. It is so frustrating that it makes the app UNUSABLE for what it is designed for. Kinda like having a really expensive car that you have to stop every 10 feet to put gas in. Plus I think $4.99 is too much for this app. At best it’s a $2.50 app. ANNOYING! Fix it!

Waste of time. You literally can’t use a single part of this app without paying for it. You can select options and be forced to watch ads for other photo editors, but every practical part of this app is locked unless you pay. I don’t even understand why they bother to allow you to download it for free. If it were a paid app from the beginning, at least I could give them points for being honest.

GREAT APP. When I saw the other app to add color, I saw that it cost money. So right under I saw something that looked the same and was free. I got it and it is the PERFECT app for coloring wherever you want!

Can’t add pictures to frames no instructions. I just spent $4.99 for this app and I can even use any features I tried using the frames I cannot upload my pictures when I go to help all it does is show me how to use the color splash which doesn’t even work well enough you have to have a stylist the size of a pin drop. I am disappointed in this amd I feel for $4.99 there should be more instructions on how to use each frame and option. I really want to use this app. Please help me with this issue or refund my money.

Been Using this for years now they charge. I’ve been using this app since about 2015 or 2016 and liked it quite well... now all of a sudden they are charging a subscription fee. No warning of the change to their long time supporters. I think that long time users should at least be grandfathered in or have the opportunity to purchase for a one time fee instead of monthly or yearly subscriptions. very sad because I enjoyed the app but I might have to look for an alternative.

Very useful app.. While there are certain filters and effects you can only utilize with an upgraded(paid) account, I think the designers are explicit within the description and honest about the free version. There are still enough useful features and editing options in the free version to make it worth downloading. And, hey, I am grateful that you can get any of the features for free. I think users should keep in mind that developers are under no obligation to give anything away for free...

I take tons of photos but.... Most of them have to be completely realistic. So, when I get to play, I enjoy this app, because there are great features for free and I really appreciate that. I wish that I had more time to use the app as I think it's a lot of fun.

I THINK this App is actually Pretty Good. So far. I’m only almost done editing my 1st photo. But so far the only pop up ad was the app itself asking me to rate it. Which wasn’t so bad now that I’m getting it over with real quick. It has more features than a lot of these splash apps. And it works pretty good.

Used to be a great app - got greedy. This is a classic app on the platform and was a go to for fixing up the special photo. I was glad to see it as a “paid for” app as I wanted to ensure it continued to be supported for a long time. However $30/year is ridiculous for an app that is used a few times a year. Would love to support the project if the subscription was more reasonable. Particularly for few times I used it. Or. Would even be interested in a “lifetime” fee.

I love this app. I take professional pictures and I love this app. I can make my photos black and white with a splash of color where my $1000 camera does not. I can take it on the go so my clients can see what the pictures will look like before we finish the section. I have increased my clientele because of this app. Thank you so much

READ THIS BEFORE DOWNLOADING $4.99 for “free” APP. App states FREE no need to purchase, absolutely free. I’m always careful that I’m not downloading a “free app” that will then charge me after a certain amount of days. I’m fine with a free trial period, and if I like the app I’ll keep it and know what I’ll be charged, if not I’ll know to cancel it, and when to cancel it. Most are 7 days or 30 days. This one charged me $3.99 after four days, with no notice. If it’s in the app description it must be hidden or verbiage added after I downloaded. Shady, misleading, dishonest. I’ve requested a refund; I’ll update here. If it’s a quick refund without a fight I’ll revise my review, if not I will fight, I will not give up, and I’ll post reviews and warnings EVERYWHERE. REPEATEDLY. Over and over and over.

Just opened. I just opened this app for the first time, scanned briefly through the tutorial and took a picture (it would not let me pick from my albums). Every choice I picked wanted me to buy something else (yes, even the ones that did not have a grocery cart symbol on the icon). I don’t have a lot of patience and just wanted to splash some color on a photo like the “free” app picture showed. I will update this review if I can get it to do something in the next 15 minutes.

App doesn’t work!. I needed to colorize just a small part of a picture that was all in color. The program made the whole picture black and white, great. Then it did allow me to bring back just the area that I wanted in color. The problem, it wouldn’t print correctly. 3 times I tried with an HP printer. Everything was shaded red. Yes, I had recently printed color prints correctly. 1 STAR is all I can give.

Horrible bad experience. While I try using the app, I get a pop up message saying if I want to buy the subscription every 20 seconds or so, I am limited to red and gray colors, all other colors you’ll have to get with the subscription. Overall, I would never in my life ever recommend this to anyone because of how truly greedy these owners are, they can’t be patient and so they just throw pop ups for subscriptions and limit everything to 1 or 2 things you can actually use.

Love it!. Great app! Just wish a few more options were unlocked without having to buy something.

Overall, lots of fun. I really like this app overall. I’ve had so much fun playing with my pictures. The color and grey functions work great and so many cool stickers, overlays, and filters. I did pay the $4.99 and I am only a little disappointed. The only problem I’m having is that for recoloring, I am lucky if it actually shows up on the picture as the color I selected. For example, I chose orange and I got blue. That really needs to be fixed or better explained perhaps. But if I’m not trying to get an exact color, it’s fun to change things up.

Photography. This app is very helpful to me I am 13 years old and love photography and taking pictures of people in poses and nature, and even myself and friends. Since I don't have a regular photography camera I just take all the pictures on my phone and this is the one editing app along with VSCO that I use!?!?!?!? SO I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS APP AND VSCO IF U DON’T HAVE IT ALREADY

Ripoff. When I downloaded the app, I thought that you were going to be able to actually color what you wanted. But instead, it has you pay an additional $10 just to use the actual app(“coloring” the black and white photo). This app is not that great, it is an absolute ripoff do not download it and try to find something else instead of paying $10. Unless you are willing to pay $10 in addition to the app, then go ahead and download it!

Nice. I think this is a overall complete app I just think you could work on the pixelation a bit more

Easy peasy. This is so user friendly. I use it a lot. You can do just about anything you can imagine with your pics.

Pre-Pay?. I get frustrated when I have to pay for an app before I even get to see what it does. Download and delete. This one is the fifth one. So frustrating. I don’t care if I can “cancel” - it’s that I have to sign up and subscribe, an extra step that may not even be needed! I don’t even know if the app is capable of doing what I need it to do!

Don't bother too many ads. Just downloaded the app. Not crazy about ads, but learning to use it. Nice colors! You only get the bright colors once. Additional is a charge. Too many ads. Can't save the photo to use somewhere else.

App works except..... I really like this app except for the fact the the overlays , other than the main set of five, when selected never show up to choose from. I’m assuming this is a bug that they are working on. Other than that, it’s a wonderful, easy to use app

Crashing on iPad Pro 12. Have the paid for version, worked okay about 3 weeks ago. Crashes and will not allow me to use camera roll. Went to support page- has nothing but links back to App Store for their two products. When this worked, it was a 5 Star app- now I feel cheated.

Too buggy - do not purchase. The auto function is limited on the free version, and doesn’t work as expected. When you try to zoom into a photo to edit corners, it immediately bounces back to original size, defeating the purpose. Not worth buying and dealing with the same issues.

Lacks Color Options. I’ve used lots of these types of apps. I think this one is about as user-friendly as I’ve found. But, I do think it has one major drawback. The color options available when colorizing a photo are very much lacking. There is no way to produce darker colors or matte colors, so oftentimes the final product comes out looking childish or silly. That being said, when your project calls for bright or neon colors, Photo Splash is great.

Ridiculous. When you can't so much as try anything on the app because as soon as you touch the screen an ad pops up, that's not a great app. How about giving us at least a minute before barraging us with ads? If you want us to pay $10 to actually use the real app, why not just charge it outright instead of hiding it as an in-app purchase?

Awesome !. It’s like magic, what can I say?. Was able to bring some old pics to life in almost true color. Highly recommend.

App looks great if you pay the monthly subscription. I remember paying for this app when it first came out. Its been years, perhaps when iphones came out. Its definately not the same. Why didnt developers just create a whole new app? I had already paid for a feature that you are now charging a monthly subscription. Very dissapointed 👎🏼

Can't tell yet. To unlock photo of fact, I am forced to leave a review. I've used this app about 30 seconds. Have no idea yet if it's good or not. If most of the FX cost money, I'm not going to be thrilled. Tip for the developer give people a chance to use it before you ask for a review and they will probably be higher

Superb. This app does what it says but gives so much more in the quality of the effects !!,! Way to go !!, perhaps a future update made might provide more intuitive icons though.

🤬. If I’m going to spend $4.99 I expect for the app to work. All I keep getting is check your internet connection, which I have full bars, and I keep failed messages when trying to access certain things. If this is how this is going to play out I WANT A REFUND. I don’t even see where you can email anyone in regards to this so hopefully my review is read and addressed accordingly or I will find a way to get a refund.

Simple and fun. For someone who uses photoshop on a regular basis, this app is actually more enjoyable. It's simple and fun for everyday pictures. The quality is fine, for what it's meant to do.

Good but why no “new project” button. This works fairly well although the auto mode doesn’t seem to work as well as it used to. What keeps me from 5 stars is if I want to start over with a new photo, I have to click back, back, back, back and the. It asks me if I want to discard my project. It doesn’t toss the project but a “new project” button at the end of the process would be a fantastic add and honestly seems like a HUGE oversight on the part of the developers. Clearly the developers aren’t actually USING the app or this would’ve been fixed by now.

Can’t edit my pictures. I just started using this app and it won’t allow me to access MY pictures 😡. I paid the $3.99 for what? To take a picture with this app so I can edit it? That’s crazy!! The icing on the cake is, there is no information or help 🤬. But what really chaps my hide is I go into another app and it starts out exactly like this one, and I can get into my pictures, but wait, it’s saying I have to pay $1.99 to have unlimited access 🤯. WHAT, I already paid twice that for this app. I don’t understand how they have so many positive ratings. I’ve come to the conclusion this app has ripped off the other one and I’m a sucker that fell for it. I’ll also bet my review gets locked behind the same door my pictures are, never to be seen 😤. Is there any way to get my money back 👿

Works ok on the iPhone X but not on the iPad Pro. I added this app to my arsenal of iOS photo editing, does the job on my iPhone but it’s so small to fine tune and would love if I could use it on my iPad but so far no such luck. Curious if other folks have the same issue? I have the pencil and it would be a beast with this but again, doesn’t upload my photo library.

Awful!!. This app doesn’t work. I bought the upgrade because I wanted to be able to colorize pictures. The free app only turns them sepia. The pro one is terrible!! I would choose a color, then try to use it and another color would come out. That color would then turn to a third color. Example, I chose gray-blue for the sky. The one that came out was magenta. Then it turned to a different color, like green. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!! Incidentally, the place that says app support does not lead to app support.

Awesome. Great product easy to use

Many hands. This app is amazeballs. I imagine many people will upgrade to the full version just to get rid of the adds after playing around with it for a while. The problem with that is a lot of people will put up with the adds because they only use it occasionally. If I were marketing this product, I would use the puppy dog technique. You should let people download the full working version of the app without adds for 3-7 days after which time the fully functional app reverts to this basic version with half the functionality and all the adds. That way, people would know what they're missing out on. If you've got a good product you ought not have to hold your customers to ransom.

No recognition of paid version across multiple devices.. Purchased full version on one device, reverts to free, ad-filled version on another device. No intuitive way to address this in the app or on the developer’s website. Otherwise works ok.

Stinking Ads. This used to be OK until the creators jumped on the money bandwagon by using ADS, ADS and more ADS for revenue. Now, you're rudely interrupted by continuous nag screens while you're trying to work and that's just plain rude.

Misleading app. In Order to use this app you must pay to have the large water mark removed. A free app is a free app and a app with in app purchases should be started so you don’t waste users time by misleading them.

Un happy. I bought the whole thing and it does’nt even access my photo albums ? I cannot retrieve a picture to work on it. I tried the assistance and the web site doesn’t supply any ressources to get help.

What do i do. What do i do differently here compared to any other editor app? Seems like nothing unique. But, i had to say something so i can unlock stuff so, lets hope what i unlock changes this!

Not really a free app.. I wanted to try this app and see if it was for me BUT the catch is you have to buy a subscription THEN they give you three free days and if you don’t like it you can cancel if it’s before 24 hours. I’m NOT giving anyone my credit card to “try” something because good luck cancelling and you have to go through the hassle of remembering exactly when to cancel and the worry that they still might charge your card. I’ll keep searching for one that I can actually try for free without conditions.

Very bad app. Paid for nothing.. Against my better judgement, I finally paid to get rid of those harassing ads. Since last update, app is full of bugs. It won't open album anymore so impossible to use stored pictures. Furthermore, tried to uninstall-reinstall the app. Since then, ads won't go away. Impossible to restaure purchase. Front page of the app is also annoying. It's no less a catalog of all apps made by developer. That counts as advertising and shouldn't be on a paid app. Final note, developer puts no contact address. Impossible to complain or suggest improvements. It quite fishy.

Impossible to use. App does not do what it says it does. Could not access photo album. Taking a photo does not let me edit in the manner described. Instead I am presented with stickers and other add ons that do nothing to enhance a photograph. The amount of ads and promotions make this app nearly impossible to use.

You can get like picture for free. Was excited to use the app and tried one photo. It came out alright. I had to wade through five minutes worth of ads. Then went to try a second photo and couldn't really do anything. They tried to get me to upgrade just to do the things I'd done with my first photo! Dumb!!

Can’t edit my pictures. Unless I’m doing something wrong, the app won’t let me access my photos... which is why I downloaded the app. It seems like a really cool idea for an app would like to see better interaction using what is available

No way to cancel. Your 3 day trail actually needs to be cancelled in 2 days and there is no option to cancel. The only option you have is to choose weekly, monthly or annually. There is no unsubscribe option in settings for this app. I’m going to have to go through my charge card. 🤬🤬🤬

Fabulous app. Really makes a difference with the quality

Pretty good. Wish you didn't have to pay to have certain effects like the auto button, but it's nice to use when editing photo's of the niece's and pets.

Could be a good app But... This could be a good if it wasn’t inundated with ads. Every time you want to use the feature an ad pops up. Perhaps with paid version you wouldn’t get as many ads but would you really want to take the chance of spending money only to find out you’re still going to be inundated with ads?

Tutorial. I can see the possibilities in this app, but I wish the tutorial wasn’t so fast. You will have to watch it several times.

To many ads. I've been using this app since 2010 on my iPhone 3 I loved it back in the day and I still do but now it's over ran by ad bugs and I'm already going to delete it and find something else. You can't do one thing on this app anymore and it'll pop up with an ad. Shame on you sell outs.

Great app!. I use t to do some photo edits and it really helps with the colors when I want them to pop out. ✌️✨

Just Started. Only been using for a few minutes but straight forward and easy to navigate

Paint brush. I enjoy the app. However sometimes it doesn’t open, but the most needed addition to this app is a paint brush with magnifier so you can see what you and where your changing the color especially in smaller areas

App NOT Free (Trial Only). This app is absolutely NOT free. There appears to be a three day trial but I didn’t even attempt to go down that road. I expect that even the trial version has a watermark based on the description. Find something else unless you use this type of app a little to justify the cost.

This is just a useless app. This is a joke! The app designer just uses this to sell the real app. With so many pop ups and advertising ads and most of the filter choices only available on the purchase renders it useless, you basically have to purchase the real app if you want to use it. Because of this I will delete out of spite to the developers.

Update... I loved using this app for my photos then an update happened and it started to watermark which wasn't there before? I liked that I didn't have to pay for it and I'm not about to start 🙄

Amazing. This app is amazing. It makes my pictures look like they are professionally taken and I love it! Definitely worth every penny!

Too many ads. I got this app about a year ago. When I first downloaded it, I was really happy. It was clean & simple without many ads. Today I opened it for the first time in a while and I was shocked & confused by all the ads. I also wasn’t able to access my photo album, rendering the app basically worthless. Really disappointing!!

👍🏽. Awesome App. Even with the light version you can still do a lot of things with it.

MOST ANNOYING APP AROUND. I downloaded because of all the fake great reviews. I tested ONE picture and couldn't get pass a bucket of ADS ADS ADS UPGRADE UPGRADE UPGRADE. The picture I selected was made into a black and white the entire time I tried using the app. It looks like an amazing app I'm just asking for less of the above and a chance to experience the features.

Amazing. I love everything about it, other than the fact I can’t use the pro stuff and I have to buy it. But other than that, it’s fantastic

still trying to charge me?!!!. I canceled the subscription on the 20th and it just tried to charge me for it again today thank God my PayPal didn’t have any money in it for it to go through but if this happens again I will be very upset that is all I will say.

Easy to navigate. Basic functionality at first. I would imagine the paid version is pretty nice

Pretty good overall. For being free it’s got some nice features. I wish you could get a little more sharpness to the coloring tool and eat rid of the ads, but past that I’m a big fan.

Pretty Good. This app is great for editing ONE thing. All you can do is make it black and white and change one thing to its original color. After doing that, I take the photo to another app to edit everything else.

Can’t get pictures on iPad. This app seemed cool on my iPhone, so I purchased it. Tried to use it on my iPad since I have a pencil and can be more accurate, but the pictures will not open. Not happy, especially since the app specifically says it works with the iPad.

It's pretty good. It's blurry when you edit it but come out nice. Wish there was more tools to make the colors softer on the edges so it didn't look so sharp though.

U mess up my picture by putting in ur logo of your app in my picture , I hate photo bombming , and you guys did that by throwing in the logo of the app in the corner of my photo , and it’s not like it’s small enough u don’t see it right away it’s big enough that I hate it uninstalling right now

Terrible!!. I have asked a dozen times to have this discontinued. The company chooses to continue to bill me $2.99 a week even though I’ve never used it and don’t want it. I would not recommend them under any circumstances.
