About microphone and speed of lessons. I think this app is great, but when I go to today it doesn't even say institution is right or wrong. Then, I think the lessons are going a little too fast and it doesn't say if it's right or wrong. I just think yeah this app could be better.

Pretty Good but Could Be Better!. I’m giving it 3 stars... The idea they have here is really good, kinda like ‘guitar hero’ but geared towards teaching instead of a game.. Shows the notes light up over the strings as the teacher plays. But the interface needs some tweaking... We as guitar players are used to reading TAB, but their fretboard is laid out the opposite direction... there should be an option to have the fretboard exactly like TAB... that’s my first complaint.. My second complaint is they number the fretboard with a mirrored number next to it... it makes it way more difficult to quickly read. They do this so they can flip the neck for lefthanders but they should just have one set of numbers per right hand and one set per left hand... Fix it Coach! Let’s do this and you’ll be a 5 star app

Songs. There are songs that are specifically designed for electric guitar playing but they display the lessons using acoustic guitar. Example in question is the song “Whole Lotta Love” By Led Zepplin. They displayed this whole song lesson on acoustic! This is a travasty considering paying a premuim level subscription. I have emailed support many times over the past years complaining about this and they always said they would correct it. Why are they using acoustic lessons on songs clearly was designed for electric guitar? Alot of artists are missing too. Joan Jett, Bryan Adams etc…clearly this app is very good but the way they promote the majority of songs on acoustic is not wotht the money

Fall in love. Well, I have never expected to fall in love in app! Music is a very important part of my life, so I can’t live a day without listening to music or playing my guitar. It’s a very handy and well-designed application, that helps to play songs of different genres and tune the instrument. There are a lot of functions, so thank you so much for the opportunity to develop my skills in playing the guitar!

I am actually learning. This app is one of the best apps I have ever seen it actually teaches me how to play a certain song I don’t mind paying for premium pass just wished they were more songs but I could definitely see some improvements.

Great for beginners. The app is really good, everything is simple and clear. Highly recommend it to those who want to learn to play guitar. After the last update it seems even better, works without any crashing.

Amazing!. Hi I am twelve years old and I have had a guitar since I was six year old. When your that young you really just want one to say you have one. I never picked it up again for about five years until the other day when I got this app and I started my first chord. It’s amazing! I can finally be lay guitar with my dad and sing with my mom without having to play tabs!! Thank you to whoever made this!

Not always available. I can only get the screen to display 75% of the screen. Just updated app earlier today Why is there a monthly pass fee now? Best aspect used to be buying one song at time. Great app Need to make it so backung tract and other parts can be played at slower pace like 80 or 90 percent. Like anytune or tab pro apps. Subscriptions.. I just gave this app the two stars because I downloaded it and saw the subscription and being a musician singer/ songwriter I don’t really want to pay that much. I will definitely not know some of the basics on Theory and maybe a few others. I’m like a Lot of very famous bands. A lot of them can’t read music or even write it. They know basic chords and scales and what all the notes are. They call it, “Playing by Ear.” I do read music but it’s hard for me to just look at a song and just start playing it, I would have to take a bit to read the notes. I would just play the roar notes or chords. I just wanted to know if you Have to pay to use the app? Can I start free and if I like it and it clicks then I can subscribe? If there is a free part , is it the bare basic and is it any good. I have also been charged for large subs I never wanted on apps and games. The games are Free and one I played didn’t even have in app purchases. But I was then subscribed to the “ premium.” Where I get rhins I didn’t really want or ask for. I had to turn off the payments on my iPad and open it up to pay and then close it. So, if I can use it for free and Get a Subscription if I like it, I give it a try. Thank you.

Good app, but huge bug. I’ve learned lots of songs using this app, and the lessons are decent. But when i am trying to learn a song, an ad pops up every other video, which in itself is inconvenient. but when i am on one video and i tap on another when an ad pops up, it won’t switch to the video i tapped on. So i have to watch 2 ads and wait for loading in between everything, so i loose 2 minutes trying to do that. Combine that with every single video i need to watch. Guess i’ll get another guitar app so i can learn it without wasting a lot of my time

The songs!!! :(. I was trying to learn guitar on my vacation and I tried a different app but it wasn’t free so I tried this game but the songs either won’t work or I’m really bad at them every time at the end of the achievement list thingy there’s a song and u have to get a perfect score to go to the next one! Every time I get a 0 because the mic wont take it I hate that if they could fix it maybe I’ll change my review 😠

Good but it gets progressively worse. The only reason it gets a 2 star and not a 1 star is because it helped me in the beginning, it actually heard me and worked as intended, that is until when it told me to play and it would not work, I later found out it was where I was plucking at but it still didn’t work very accurately to the point where I had to use a amplifier to get it to hear and even then it STILL wouldn’t work very well, then after I while I got decently good from this and then it said oh wait she is getting too good let’s make her pay a trial, I mean CMON THIS WAS ACTUALLY WORKING FOR A SECOND 2/10 don’t buy

Coach Guitar app. Pretty good way to learn songs of varying degrees of difficulty. It breaks each song down into sections for easier learning, you get the song, video and tabs. You should be able to print out the tabs, but you can’t which is a real problem if you want to follow along using the tabs. You can’t even read them on an IPhone because they are too small. They also don’t add very many new songs very quickly. I’ve been a monthly member for quite awhile now, I’ve made several song requests and not one of them have been added and they’re all populate songs by famous artists. You also can’t take advantage of the yearly membership specials without being on a computer. Kind of doesn’t make sense considering this is an iPhone app? I’ve asked specific questions regarding the membership specials and never had one email responded to? Guess they’d rather me be a monthly member, makes sense considering it’s more money for them in 12 months. I’d like to upgrade to premiere member for a year, but not without a special and not without the ability of doing it on my phone? Wonder if they read these? If they do maybe they’ll make some needed changes? Doubt it.

Not many free features.. It would be nice to have more free access to things. Also, the subscription is fairly expensive, in my opinion. However, when you do have access to everything, it’s extremely easy to understand and learn how to play the guitar. All you need after that is the will to keep practicing.

For beginners and hobbyists. This is a great app for those who are just beginning to learn how to play or hobbyists looking to refine their techniques. It’s free, but more effective than online lessons, because it gives you the opportunity to practice at your own pace and at your own time.

Very detailed. First off I would like to say this is a very good app for learning guitar. That said it is not easy it is geared mostly toward fingerpicking and is very difficult songs to play. In my opinion it is not geared toward beginners at all. They need to have more songs for picking , with a pick. Not everybody wants to learn how to finger pick right away. The app description should be way more clear on that before you pay money to subscribe.

Don’t pay for it yet. This is a really good app, but when you pay for the subscription some of the features are still work in progress, and one problem I have with the learning is that it doesn’t tell you the next note to play, and leaves me caught off guard sometimes.

Used to be FREE with ads, what happened?. I’ve been using this app inconsistently for many years and at first you could pay for each song you wanted to learn and take your time learning it. I’m a slow learner i have dyslexia. Then they did the amazing change where you could open any lesson for any song for free if you watch an advertisement first. It was awesome I was learning several songs at once and when I would get frustrated from one I could easily switch to the next and then back. But now I need a subscription to open up all the saved lessons I have made progress on. WHY? Even the songs I had initially purchased back when you could pay per song are no longer available to me. Again I ask Why? I’m switching to Rocksmith because a subscription to me is just not worth it. This app was an amazing way to learn guitar but again I’m a slow learner and I can’t afford the subscription. At least Rocksmith let’s you pay per song.

Great method of instruction, app has issues. I’m early in my guitar days and have found this app good for learning to play visually. It has an excellent array of music and it breaks songs into smaller chunks which is nice. The app crashes often and it takes a while to load videos. Would be nice to see the tabs .. or maybe that’s for the paid version. Still debating on that purchase.

Exceptional instruction. Coach guitar makes learning songs so easy. This app provides all the subtle details to learn a song quick, and with precision. I find myself using the app every time I pick up my guitar and I love the songs it has introduced me too. Thank you !!

Close but no cigar. I have been using this app for about 3 weeks. It’s been a great tool to learn from being a beginner. I have had issues however with the following. 1: my finished lessons got erased making me go back through, re load the app and the due all the lessons over again 2: after being charged for a year subscription the content has been locked and trying to charge me again only after 3 weeks of use. 3: emailed customer support and no response. I give it a 5 for the platform and a minus 3 for the issues.

Used to be good. I liked the app before they forced a monthly subscription to get new music. I have a busy life and go through spurts of guitar practice. I enjoyed being able to purchase only the songs I wanted and having access to them permanently. I can still access my purchased lessons, but cannot add new ones without a sub. Unfortunately, that means I will not be adding any additional lessons. The subscription is just not worth it for me. In the end, they are losing money from me. I bought many lessons prior to this change. I cannot recommend.

Used to work perfect. I used to be able to go on whatever lesson I wanted but now if I click on anything, the whole app crashes. I’ve tried to delete and reinstall the app, and it didn’t work. I tried to reset my phone, and it still didn’t work. I even made a whole new account, and it doesn’t work. I’ve checked for updates but guess what, it’s up to date. I’m really disappointed and I used to be able to use the website on my computer for lessons but now all it asks is to sign up for a “free trial” and then it’s over priced. Does anyone else have this problem?

Transformed my guitar playing. I had brief knowledge of the guitar before this app and after I can comfortably call myself a well rounded player, it gives you all the tools you need to succeed with tutorials on everything from classic songs to blues tutorials and working around the frets. The videos make it super simple to learn the songs and you can even play along at 50x speed which was a brilliant edition.... I’ve been a premium member for 3 years and I can personally say it’s well worth it !!!!!

Glitch (or whatever). This is quite a good app, really it is. But I have one small problem. I finished some of the beginner lessons and went on to play We Will Rock You. This is my problem. The app kept on saying I was playing the wrong note well before I even played it. It’s no big deal to me, but it was quite annoying and led to me getting a 25% on the lesson and the app saying I played 18 notes wrong. Anyways, I would be really grateful if you guys could patch this issue. (Edit: Still a good app, I feel like I have to say that. It’s just a minor issue that the app doesn’t listen all that well)

The guitar helper. I'm still a beginner at guitar playing, but with this app I learnt some of my favourite songs. Now I can play hits by the Beatles, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep. It's very helpful, especially if you are into classic rock and dreamed for musical career as a teenager. The app is simple designed, but has all I need to learn songs and have fun.

Essential Application…!!!. Really, this app made my day, I was involved in guitar playing for 13 years and it’s too unfortunate,I didn’t have any guitar classes yet, because nobody there to support me and I didn’t have that much courage to attend class, my only option is finding useful guitar tricks, like this app is provided to us, I’m truly satisfied and simply wants to give huge thanks too. This app have amazing guitar lessons and tricks, simple to understand and really this app is for beginners and for professionals, I didn’t miss a chance and suggest to all people just download this app and be professional guitarist, lots of great features, really useful app, I hope more useful features will include in future updates, thank you.

Helpful app. Really working app. I'd never been able to play guitar because all lessons on the internet were useful.. until tomorrow. Good idea with the colors, it's quite interesting and very understandable. Now I can play a bit. Keep going on and I'll master it

Bad customer service!!. Bought the premium pass back in Feb/March and by June it wouldn’t let me continue on to the next skill level. I sent customer service an email they reset it but it didn’t work. Sent several more emails and now they just keep telling me they can’t find my membership. So I send another email with the membership info in it and they still can’t get it to work. I just want my refund for all the months that it hasn’t worked. I really enjoyed the parts that worked, however it wasn’t worth $119 for those couple of months. NOT HAPPY!

Cool program. The app is great, I study lesson by lesson, the videos help a lot. What seemed incredibly difficult now becomes more understandable and completely feasible. everything is clear and understandable. A wonderful idea that is perfectly implemented in the application.

Great training app. It a good training app for beginners or even those who has already started once playing guitar. Learning process is supplied with video lessons. Every step is carefully explained and everything becomes clear. There is a huge number of music tracks of different genres thats why everyone is able to find what he prefers more.

Great for Learning Sections of a Song.. I have been using this app for a while now. I prefer this over a lot of the other apps out there for learning sections of songs I have been having difficulty with. The loop and slowdown function is very useful for that. The reason I am giving this app three stars is due to the fact that it is extremely difficult to play an entire song at one time. The full screen tablature view is too zoomed in, which would be alright if there was an auto scrolling function. The ability to print out tablature would also help.

Songs to learn. After playing along with video while learning song I had tried to learn on my own but was having trouble playing the nuances of the song, your app helped me lear the finer points of the song. I learned it like I was playing with the Mamas and the papas. I thank you!!

perfect for trying something new. I have always wanted to play a guitar but I had no chance to attend music lessons. I was very happy to discover that app. It may seem a bit difficult for beginners first time. For the beginning I tried the free version and decided to buy the premium subscription. Lessons are very informative and do not give useless information.

Truly a hidden gem!. I was looking for an app to help me learn guitar and learn some new songs. When I stumbled upon this during my search, I was amazed at how underrated it is. It gave me a step by step guide on my favorite songs and minutes later I was playing the into to Shallow! I highly recommend this if your looking for tutorials on your favorite guitar songs!

Let us print the tab!!!!!. It’s misleading to say guitar tab is included. You cannot print which renders the tab pretty much useless. I’m not busting out the iPad every time I go to play and even if I did would have to stop to scroll through the tab which is ANNOYING! We pay a good price to be here. Let the people print the the tab!!! Worried people are going to get a month subscription and print all the tabs for every song? Firstly, who cares, not the core value of your offering. But if this is the concern, put a limit - print up to 3 tabs a month. Just a thought. Recos- [1] ability to print the tab is #1 [2] ability to select multiple section and have the play consecutively [3] ability to slow down to .25 % for those solos [4] don’t show the “about lesson” Home Screen for each song by default. It just increases clicks to get get to the main content. Make it secondary for people who care to read it. [5] add a metronome that can be accessed immediately inside any lesson in upper right corner (defaulted to the bpm of the song active) that can be adjusted down or up as desired. Long time user of the app. Love it otherwise.

I love this app!!!. I was a beginner not knowing what I was doing with my guitar and I was trying to strum chords and they wouldn't play and I was using a palm mute effect without even realizing it. This app let me figure out how to play guitar and I would defiantly subscribe it for anyone with a guitar if the are experienced or not. It's like I say, your never done learning

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE. My card was accidentally charged for the ONE YEAR subscription for this app. I’ve sent over 4 emails to CoachGuitar explaining my situation and requesting a refund, as the application has been removed from my device already and I’ve never even launched the app. They’ve been giving me the run around, telling me to ask Apple for a refund. I’ve already spoken to Apple at length regarding this issue, and it is not a Apple problem. My card was used to pay for the subscription directly through CoachGuitar, not through Apple. For some reason they don’t see this as a legitimate reason and keep referring me to ask Apple for a refund. Save yourself the trouble. And please don’t contribute to this app or their developers who seem to only want your money and couldn’t give less care towards customer service.

if u like intuitive learning. Always wanted to play some instrument, but never actually got to do it. I even tried to play on some old guitar but in the end was really confused. This app is so much better to learn it, I just wish I had it before. Great for people who don't like to focus on theory and want to go straight to the point. Thank you for the bug fix updates, it does work more smooth now.

Good, but needs more lessons. I started this yesterday and I have already finished all of the lessons but they say there are still skills to learn. I don’t understand why, and it’s driving me crazy. I’ve already paid for this and I’m mad that there aren’t anymore lessons on things. This app isn’t really for beginners once the lessons run out, because you have all these songs to play and barely any skills on how to play them. The only song I can play on there is seven nation army and I’m upset because I expected more from this, now I’m stuck with it for a year with no way to further my knowledge and understanding. The app needs WAY more lessons.

Practice based approach. The learning process is very exciting but there are not so many songs to choose from. However, I believe that this app really helps beginners to learn how to play guitar. I am sure that everyone can learn to play any song from this app in just a couple of hours.

Bet guitar app to use. I haven’t had great experiences with many guitar apps that make you pay premiums or fees to use the app for beginners, but this app is the real deal and it doesn’t cost as much as apps like Simply Guitar or other guitar apps. Would recommend to anyone with a guitar!

Cool app. This is very useful and cool application. I have a guitar at home and I did not play on it. It was to diffucult to learns play guitar alone without teacher. And I did not have interest and enthusiasm. But with this application I started to play guitar every day. It become very interesting and easy. Looks impressive, but.... It teaches you every detail of the song you wanna master. Backing tracks, isolating the guitar is just amazing, the only problem is it is too expensive. For each song, you need to pay $5 which is way to expensive. I would give 4 stars if it was $1 each.

Keeps hanging up. Very slow to load songs, keeps crashing! Getting pretty tired of it!! Other than that it is good

Chord Structures. Many Years ago I used to be a Stage Roadie and A Lad showed this - "Top Rehearsal Chord Practice Ditty " where you'd work your way from the upper most commonly played note & chords working your way to the bottom and back up again. I've Long Forgotten It. But Im trying to help A Mates Daughter Find the Joy of Playing the Guitar and she's Not Quite getting it. No response to tech support. Paid for a 12 month subscription and premium content did not unlock, thought it would be a simple fix, sent a number of emails requesting support and received no response and as yet still unable to use an app that’s been paid for.

Abosutey AMAZING. So i started off as a complete know nothing I tried to learn myself but............lets just say you should be greatful you didnt hear it First i went looking for some tuning apps here are my favorite Fender tune Guitar tuner I hope that helped and for your information they say in app purchases but they are COMPLETELY free to tune your guitar Then i went looking for a how to play guitar i found an app called Howtoplayguitar once again mostly free then it was taking AGES to download so i went looking for another app then i found this it was downloaded in a flash i went into the app and it said pay 7 dollars i was like Then (this saved my life) i saw it said or continue with limited access It was in tiny writing i was so happy i tapped it and it said what music do you like well i chose PUNK HEAVY METAL ROCK and i could only chose 3 with my limited access Now i am a guitar MASTER THANKYOU TO THE CREATORS OF THIS APP (My story in emojis) 🙍🏼‍♀️ 🎸 🙋🏼‍♀️💔❌❌❌❌ *sees app*🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️ Ok now i got to go play more guitar

Great app. Excellent for learning new songs. However of the songs I have purchased (4.49 each) there are only rhythmic solos as its all taught on acoustic guitar.

JUST SO HELPFUL. I just learned so many new songs off this amazing app. Can’t believe I use to think this was useless. All I had to do was play slow and work my way up. Top app 5 out of 5!

Please help!. Great app! Stand by me and beat it worked fine, but stairway always gets stuck around 97% whilst trying to download for offline viewing. Makes me wonder if that'll happen to songs I pay for? Other than that, it's like having your own personal guitar tutor.

Carlos. What a load of garbage, seriously I thought it was for free, but then after I downloaded it, it then asked for $7.99 for the premium app. If you are going to ask $7.99 for an app, state it from the start. Downloaded it, then deleted it, guitarist practice hard, don’t need this app.

Brilliant. Absolutely recommend for anyone wanting to learn popular songs easily..., whilst you pay per song the choice is yours and the breakdown of each song makes it easy to learn... Great app. Even allows off line access. This will accelerate your abilities to play popular and entertaining songs for yourself or others enjoyment.

Just about the best an app can get ..... And hopefully getting better .. Extremely user friendly :) and really accommodates for a guitarist perspective . However it could be greatly improved in a few ways . 1: if u pay for the song you should be able to download it to the phone ( wifi is not nearly as common in all households as you may think .... I mean commmmon we r talking about musoes here ha ha . 2: a lot of the songs that u pay for ... U do so to be able to easily learn the lead breaks/solos ( I think that we wouldn't mind paying extra for the song if it had an accurate lead ) 3: quite often as u would know there are songs that have numerous guitar parts working together to make the compleat song eg: hotel California : Orion an so on . Maybe have the app allow u to learn individual parts as well as the over all amalgamation ( which is done very well by the way ) again something I think most people would be happy to pay a premium to have that option when purchasing a track :) But apart from these very minor wants I am extremely impressed and thoroughly enjoy this app and so have a lot of my friends who are session musoes and performers . It saves me from sitting with tab or even longer ( actual sheet music ) for a long time trying to get the accent out of it . Or doing my best to nut it out by ear . TOP APP nine and a half out of ten :) keep up the good work .

Just awsome. I found this the easiest to use out of most other apps I've come across, the visual representation is well done and I love the offline sessions which it's great for when I run out of credit.

You Made Me A Star. Since I wanted to play a guitar so much one day I wanted to play a song but unfortunately I didn't success. After all on the App Store I saw a app for guitar songs, I went to lessons and learned a song in half an hour and I was surprised how did i play that, but I'm proud of my self and the app maker he deserves what he gets...I never rated a app or write a review since this time so I'm surprised what made me do this CONTINUE making songs and I would love it better YOUR A STAR...

Incredibly slow! Hard to use. Unusable! Takes forever to load a song and instructions are not clear from the song! Would be good to see the whole stroke patterns up front!

After sampling and signing up for the premium subscription I was forced to have to endure the “free introductory subscription period” So you can’t use the app until the “free week or month” whatever it is over because the IDIOTS keep having pop up adds and the lessons themselves are mostly hidden under the advertisements.

Money hungry. The app tells you it’s free with in app purchases and it ask for payment as soon as you download it

Great app but missing solos. The app is great. Especially having songs broken up into parts for the lessons. I'd give it 5 stars except the solos are missing.

No support and no reward for early supporters of coachguitar. Very disappointed with the support team at coachguitar. I purchased about 8 songs from coachguitar before it moved to its subscription based app. I cannot access any of my purchased songs and the app keeps prompting me to become a premium member. I don’t want to become a subscriber, I just want my original songs I purchased. I’ve sent many emails to the support centre and response has been poor and sporadic. How about supporting the people that adopted your app initially.

Terrible Technical Support. Would NOT recommend. Started using this App when I received a guitar for my 55th Birthday. Purchased “Premium Access”. App started out well and enjoyed the lessons. Not sure if Apple Updates has caused instability, however I can say with certainty that support through this App is less than desirable. Very poor response time, one line emails. If the App worked the way it did I would give it 5/5. That being said the instability and the accompanying frustration results in a 1/5. Long Story Short - the complete and utter disregard for Support has caused me to cancel my subscription. Have signed on with the Fender App.

Was great. Used this app to learn a lot of songs, took about a year off. Now I can't get at any of my old songs I payed for. Subscription far too expensive. Feel like they robbed me. Give me my songs or my money back.

Review of demo. I learned more from watching fingers on the guitar than dots on lessons. Maybe you can suggest tutorial instead of learning from notes alone. Beginner self from it difficult. That’s just my option.

Updated Review. I originally had this at a 1 but with recent improvements over the years by far the best learning tool. Customer service was outstanding for the new desktop version. With being able to finally print the tabs is an added bonus. And being able to use on all my devices is a bonus as well. Update with IOS 11 it performs poor too slow loading up

U need to pay. The free version is ridiculous, so many ads is impossible do anything and the guitar lessons are not so good. So expensive for those who wants only use one function, as learn guitar. U can find better videos at you tube for free.

Great app. This is a awesome app for beginners like myself. It has videos step by step to learn at your own pace and the tabs if you would like the sheet music. Only one improvement to be made- some of the videos don't load very fast which sucks at times but I'm not very patient either! but overall an amazing app! So worth it!

So good. One of the best. They show you how they play. Can slow it down, shows you the neck of the guitar and the notes. No talking which is fine because I need to watch to learn. 100s of songs and teaches you the whole song not just the riff. If you want to learn this is the best.

Totally unreliable and confusing. The lessons don’t make it clear if it’s waiting for me to do something or not. I can’t tell if it’s hung or not so I have to skip. And the bloody thing crashes CONSTANTLY. I can’t even make it through one lousy lesson!

Ads Add Ads no substance. Perhaps, if the app actually played a lesson instead of only ads a person might actually want to buy the app. As it only shows ads in the free version you don’t get to know the app. It’s basically a waste of money and your valuable time!

Great lessons with one HUGE flaw. At this moment the app COMPLETELY RESETS every time you close it. So when I reopen the app it asks me to go through all the initial setup all over again. So my favorites list is lost and all progress is reset. The app is great, but this is kind of a major flaw for someone who wants to pop in and get right to work without having to set it up every single time they open the app back up.

Now I have my own coach. Frankly speaking I'm not good at playing guitar and music at all but with this thing I feel like I am a rockstar. There is great variety of songs I can play and what's important as well it adopts to my low level.

Video training. An unusual app for this genre. You will learn to play the guitar, by repeating actions of the person on the video. It is better to have a device with a large screen. With this app I learned a couple of new songs.

Playing the Guitar. I always wanted to learn to play the guitar. So I've decided to try this app and since one week I can tell you that this is very good app. I thought that playing guitar is very difficult but thanks to this application it seems not so complicated.

Waste Of Time. This app is a massive waste of your time. Every lesson (or many) must be purchased to learn. It doesn’t really motivate you to learn when your just throwing money at something you don’t know will work. You can only get one song free, while the others are like 30 dollars I think. So don’t waste your time with this app. There are better ones out there, that won’t f you over for your time and money.

Great App. It used to be a great app. Pay for the songs I want to learn. Excellent training interface. Now it’s so loaded with ads (reminder, I paid for the lessons!) it’s super annoying and I’m using other resources to learn songs. Try Justin Guitar as an alternative. I’m sure they make more money with all the ads. But, they’ve gone too far with it.

Why would I pay for a commercial filled app?. Who in their right mind would pay 20 per month for a commercial filled app. I tried this. I click the 10 second less (literally 10 second clip) and it started playing a 30 second commercial. I closed that and clicked the next item - commercial. Are you KIDDING ME!? I could not undo my purchase fast enough. It’s a cheap scam by those companies who put out click bait and deliver ZERO. DO NOT WASTE ANY MONEY ON THIS GARBAGE

Great way to learn. This app has been a great learning aid but i dont like how they went away from being able to individually buy songs to a monthly fee instead. Not a cool move in my opinion. But still a great learning tool

Better stuff out there. This is the 3rd app I’ve looked at and while it does show you how to play the songs, it doesn’t teach you how to play guitar. After I signed in.. after the ads... class from the get go, they drop you in their home page, with no instructions nor guidance. In the words of Hook, “Bad form!”

Not for me.. Wouldn’t you think this app had guitar chord charts, or some way to access them? Well, if this app has them, I never found them. Also, if your looking for Christian music you may be out of luck there too. Their database did not find the first 3 songs I searched for. This was a complete waste of my time and money.

No matter how talented you are. I think this app is great for beginners. To get started with this app you don't need any previous knowledge and even guitar. You can learn where to put your fingers and which strings to strum, and then move on to playing the real guitar.

Complete Fraud , Stay away. Purchased lessons from them that were mine and app decided to change to a different billing platform and only allow me access to my purchases if I paid the new monthly fee. Absolute bait and switch. Subscribe at your own risk.

Great app. I’ve always wanted to play guitar but I’m too lazy to go to music school, so this app saved me. I’ve learned all the chords and even a few songs. It’s great that you can choose your level and I really like the design of this app.

Feel a rock star. I really like this app! I don't need to splash my money out to guitar. I have downloaded the app and have tried my own abilities in musical sphere. Due to tuning the guitar and choosing between rock or classical style I can stick to a particular way of playing! Even friends admit that I'm talented in it:D

Can’t even log in. The theory seems great, I signed up for it, but no matter what I do the app won’t let me gain access to the content after I signed up, just says “Login Failed” No website exists, if you go to the site listed here, it takes you back to the App Store. If you click on support, it takes you back to the App Store. For $20/month I expect to have SOME level of support.

i love it !!. honestly i don’t get why people are disliking this app because it’s honestly really great. the ads aren’t terrible, the lessons give u pretty great visuals, and they have a crap ton of songs for you to learn. songs you probably know and love. it’s just a bit overwhelming at first but once u get used to it it’s great i promise. i’m having a great experience using this app and i will continue to use it in the future. i love it !!

I am a guitar hero now!. The interface with colors helps me to develop my musical skills and using this application for developing in the musical field helps me to overcome the obstacles I had before. The most I like that colored dots represent my fingers very precisely

Great Idea!. This is a great way for a beginner like myself to learn how to play guitar! However, the functionality of the app is a bit sticky because I had a difficult time trying to select each category etc...that I wanted when moving through the selections and so on.

I create more music. The interface is calling me to create even better and more rocking sounds! I can be my own guitarist wherever I go and this lessons helped me to develop my skills very fest :)

Don’t buy. I can’t believe this has more than 4 stars. At first, I thought it was “OK”. Then, a month ago it would not log me in. I checked; and, yes, they were charging me. I sent an email to support. No response. I requested a password change. Again, no response. A month later, and after multiple attempts to contact support or change the password, I made sure to turn off the auto renew.

Great app but had issues. It’s a great app for a bass player but there are few songs for electric guitars and iron man from Black Sabbath was missing the theam course if you could add more songs for electric that would be nice but overall a great app for beginners and experienced players

The easy way to learning. I like the way this app works. I enjoy playing and it’s never get bored. Coach Guitar shares a lot to do and it helps me. It’s an excellent app with a good practice of guitar lessons. Visual teaching is my favorite and an effective way of learning.

Not Accurate. Pretty good app except the microphone isn’t that accurate. I had nothing running in the background yet the microphone wasn’t accurate even though I played all the notes perfectly.

Simply one of the best.. My favorite guitar app I’ve found! Love how they add new songs! Please don’t change anything. Not many adds no time limits. Learn guitar when, wherever and at your own pace. I’d give it 6 stars if I could!
