What is mybuick app? This is your convenient tool to help simplify, add control and reach your vehicle’s full potential. Stay in touch and in command — whether you’re in your vehicle or out. Access helpful features like remote commands right on your home screen and even check the estimated fuel level or charge status of your electric vehicle.

Start by logging in with your Buick Account or OnStar username and password. Services are not available everywhere, and feature availability and functionality may vary by country. The myBuick mobile app* is supported on iOS 14 or later, and is only available in North America.

Latest update ruins app for IPhone 6 users. No stars is what this app should get after the latest update requires an iOS 13 for iPhones. You’ve arbitrarily decided that the iPhone 6 can no longer access your app because Apple doesn’t allow an update to iOS 13 for that phone. How many people with older phones now have GM vehicles that the technology’s functionality is gone? My husband and I have been brand loyal to GM for almost a decade, buying more expensive vehicles. But, time after time, GM seems determined to make us look at other brands when shopping for new vehicles. This is another example. We no longer have access to all the advertised technology (which we used!) unless we upgrade our phones?!? Really? Thanks for absolutely nothing, GM.

New Update Looks Great but You Lose Valuable Handy Features. Finally, we have received a New Update for our My Buick App but it comes at a Great Disappointment. We have a 2016 Buick Enclave and the old My Buick App allowed us to Locate the Vehicle, Run Vehicle Diagnostics, and even open up Navigation to send the address to the vehicle. The New Updated App just lets us Unlock, Lock, Sound Alarm, No Alarm, Flash or No Lights, and Start Engine. The New Updated App has No Navigation and No Vehicle Diagnostics Available. This stinks and is quite awful for the GM design team to push this update out to everyone. I highly recommend someone fixing this and helping us out. Thank you.

Update is terrible. Remote start no longer works with update. Even when you hold the button, it doesn’t work and holding the button is so inconvenient. Change it back! Will likely just cancel my onstar since this is all I use it for. Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Still doesn’t work. Update: I’ve opened a case with onstar technical team. It’s been a week so far and all they’ve told me is to sign out and sign back in, yes I’ve already tried that. They are acting like I’m the only one with this problem but clearly not since the most recent reviews say the same. Think I’m just going to go ahead and cancel.

I’ve experienced better. This app functions to keep you at the dealer and upsell you on products you already have. On multiple occasions I’ve reported app readings to my dealer, to always be told they are wrong, inaccurate or unseen on their diagnostic machine. Tire pressure and gas levels significantly differ from the car to the app, and the auto start often fails. It also reads my key fob being in the car when it’s not. Ultimately, even being a proactive, tech savvy person, who performs updates and can troubleshoot effectively, this app malfunctions constantly. I only gave it two stars because the lock and unlock functionality usually works. In competitor apps, like my ford, I can schedule times for my car to autostart, I can see weekly reports, maintenance is easy to schedule with my preferred dealer, the mileage tracking is impeccable and any maintenance notices are accurate and verifiable. Unfortunately, for me, this app needs work. I’d suggest testing with patrons to make a more user friendly and customizable experience.

Best I know of.... I give it 5 stars because of all the apps that are out there, this is the best that I know of!!! My friends with their BMWs, Mercedes, etc. have nothing compare to this app and they are envious as I’m warming up my car using the app while out to dinner. I love it even though sluggish (slow) at times but it does the job!!! Can it be better, ABSOLUTELY, but no other make of car has anything over GM so I give you your praises especially because you made the app available on my Apple Watch so the days I’m walking to my car and can’t quite get to my phone I just open up the app on my Apple Watch and presto my car is started and yes sometimes it takes a minute and yes sometime you have to redo it because it didn’t take the 1st time, but I have the ability to start my car, open or lock my car doors from my wrist!!! You can’t ask for anything better today!!! I encourage GM to work out the bugs but great so far!!! You have my vote!!! I love my Buick, the app and my car!!! 😆😘😆

Buick vehicles. I was 400+ miles from home and the service light came on. Good thing Stoops Buick-GMC was immediately on my right. Pulled back to service bays, and Mr Anderson came to help. Long story short.. I left my 2015 and after a few (long) weeks later I drove off in a new Buick Encore. This dealership went out of their way to have me go from screeching to smiling. They will work hard to make you happy. Other dealers won’t even come out on the lot. Bad day for THAT dealership, excellent day for Stoops!

Ok. It mostly works, I guess, but it doesn’t always register every trip and I can’t use the digital manual or videos option as these apparently don’t exist for the tourx yet and I have seen no date of when they might be available (if ever). Also wish it included a list of the options tied to your VIN number. You buy a car on the lot that has the things you want, but they come as part of a package (with other items you were indifferent to) and it would be nice to have a convenient list of what was on that package without having to go back to the sale papers.

Puzzled 🤨. Love the app. Love my Buick Encore even more. Four stars only because recently my app is freezing. I’m getting error messages. And then unable to connect to internet. All of my apps work with no problem connecting. I’m not sure what’s happening? But, I hope it gets resolved soon. I even tried logging out. Now all I have is a white screen, and no ability to log back in🤷🏽‍♀️ I’ve closed out the app several times, still the same. I hope it corrects itself before leaving work tomorrow. I love the ability to start my car remotely while walking to it. Especially since we are having cooler days.

Early Warning!. Was at a lunch meeting when I received a text from My Buick app telling me my right front tire was low (24 lbs). I went out and checked the tire and it was low and leaking air (nail). I have always carried a Fix-a-Flat in the car, but never used one. It worked! Got the pressure up to 31 lbs where I drove it to service station and had it fixed. Wherever you are at (work, church, bar, etc.) you would not want to come out to a flat tire! Thanks ! Terry

App is awful. If I could give this app zero stars, I would. Every time I try to start my car a second time from the app, the app glitches and gets “stuck” as to where the “start” button cannot be pressed. I’ve trying closing the app, not using it for several days but it still stays stuck and the start button cannot be pressed. The only solution is to uninstall and reinstall the app. What a pain to do this many times a week. I see in other reviews that people are being advised to uninstall & reinstall the app. Is this seriously the best and most efficient solution? How about fix the problem!

Updated App Doesn’t Work. The recent app update is a disaster. For 2 years I enjoyed all the features and working functions on the myBuick app associated with the Enclave. Now it doesn’t work. As I can see from other reviewers, for the last 3 months, the same issues such as vehicle status updates on fuel, tire pressure and mileage are not happening. It should not take months for bug fixes to be made. Thanks for taking a great app and running it.

No keys no problem. I had to run into an office for 2 minutes. I couldn’t locate my key. There I am parked under the scorching AZ sun looking for the darned thing . So Then like magic I remembered the Buick app! I jumped out of my parked car and pressed on the door lock option. (Had to show my face or insert a pin to unlock and access the functions) Hot Dang! It actually delivered what the salesgirl at the Buick said it would do. Would you believe they locked!!!! I giggled all the way to that office and ran back to my car in less than 2 minutes. Yes my physical key was still in the car which I’m sure is not recommended by the folks at Buick or PD but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. So there I am in front of my door again. Open the app again and pressed unlock! Hot Dang! Worked again! So here I am still parked but with AC full blast writing this review. I don’t often sit in my parked car in this heat BUT because this app saved me from a stressful situation here I am sharing. If your kids are tiny, ill behaved or playing tricks you’ll never be locked out of your car. I grew up hearing my dad tell me tales about all his Buick’s over the years and how it’s the only car he will ever drive blah blah. You don’t listen to me he’d say.... You would’ve thought I graduated grad school, Dad was so proud when I showed up in a brand new Buick Enclave. Guess I was listening after all!

Awful!!. I have a 2018 Buick Encore and loved the MyBuick app…everything I needed was right at my fingertips. After the latest update of the app, it’s worked for me maybe twice. Most of the time it doesn’t load. When it does, noting is available but the buttons that are available on my key fob. I’ve read many of the latest reviews and have even tried the ‘fixes’ that many have suggested: including deleting and reinstalling. The app then worked for exactly one use. The next time…it was back to nothing but the buttons. Deleted and reinstalled this morning and now it won’t even access my account details when I try to log in. Frustrating…. Give us back the app that actually WORKED!!!

Love it!. I love my new 2019 Encore. The longer that I have it, the more I enjoy it. A small gas tank and good MPG make this Buick economical and very cost effective, especially for a SUV. The streamlined appearance is stylish. The overall compact size is surprisingly roomy, perfectly proportioned for women drivers and appropriate for small families. And, this vehicle is technologically enhanced with the capability to be its own hotspot with unlimited data to assist and protect its occupants; security and entertainment at your fingertips! Buick is a name that I recognize and respect for well built cars. I am pleased to own my Encore, a small luxury SUV and I hope that you will join me in being a satisfied owner.

Reported problem is fixed. A very short time after I posted the review below, the app began to wrk again. It now connects fine after about two weeks of not being able to. I should have written the review earlier announcing the problem. The fix (whatever it was) was very quick. OLD REVIEW TO DOCUMENT MY ORIGINAL CONCERN I have used this app for years but now it has stopped working on my iPhone 11. The initial screen pops up, but the screens with the commands never loads. I tried deleting and reinstalling but no luck. I would rate it five stars if it would lad. END OF OLD REVIEW

Love our Onstar. Love the OnStar app ! I can remote start my Enclave on Truck on Hot or Cold Days ! I use the same app for both Car and Truck . You just select which one to remote control. We are always getting into a store or restaurant and ask Did we lock the car? No problem I just select lock car on my app and within seconds I am notified doors locked ! You can also check your car conditions like air pressure etc .

Would love Siri Shortcut actions.. Overall, this app is fantastic and does everything that I expect it to do. The Apple Watch integration specifically is amazing. No complaints on that front. The one thing that can make this app beyond outstanding is a secure implementation of Siri Shortcuts so we could have the option of starting the car with our voice or a home screen shortcut. I realize that they are always security concerns at play, but wanted to offer the feedback.

The previous app was better. The previous app was way better. I have to hit turn the car off even when the car is already off in order to start my remote start for the second cycle. The lock and unlock buttons barely work most of the time. The only thing I like about this new app is the look, other than that it’s really not worth the headache. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app more than would have liked and that still doesn’t solve the issue. Also having to keep signing in is annoying as well. Not really worth the headache. I will probably cancel my subscription since this isn’t working how it used to.

Buick app. I am very disappointing that we bought 2020 Envision with all the whistles and bells only to find out 6 months later Buick took them away and started charging exorbitant prices to get them back. I understand Onstar sort of, but they shouldn’t be charging for remote start and some of the other basic features that came with the vehicle. We are ready for a new vehicle but it won’t be a Buick. Most brands leave the original features on for at least 3-5 years. What a rip off! I know you probably won’t post this and probably don’t really care but at least you heard it from a customer who used to by Buick.

Distance remote start. I am having difficulty using the app regarding remote start at 2200 mile distance. I was told I could start the car from the west coast. It worked one time. After speaking with several On-Star customer representatives, I received several different responses as to what may be occurring. I learned some information about the distance remote that was not provided at the Dealer’s car clinic. I am disappointed that the app repeatedly loses communication with the car. I would like a consistent response as to why this issue is happening. The app itself is wonderful when it works.

Update broke a great app. This app worked great and flawlessly until last update. Now every time I use it I have to login. Very annoying. I pay extra to use this for remote starting of vehicle. I have now cancelled my service. Too bad they had to do this for only a few people that had security issues. Update: I’ve canceled remote access not paying for something you broke. Reply from developer about biometric being used is good when it works and doesn’t make you log back in. Now the big reason I’ve cancelled app no longer works on Apple Watch on its own. Have to use phone only. 4/5/22 Update. The other thing it does is after closing the app out and not using it for awhile it won’t use Face ID.

Fails on Apple Watch. I absolutely love the functionality of the old version of this app. Back then I was able to use my Apple Watch to access my car whenever someone borrowed my keys to go do something else. The problem that we’re having now is that with the new app you can set it up to work on the Apple Watch but after a while when you try to use it the watch tells you that you have to connect it back to the app again. It’s constantly dropping your authorization making it actually useless. That new app runs fine on my phone however it takes longer to load and from time to time you have to jump through hoops to login. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and it did fix some of the earlier problems however the problems listed above still remain no matter how many times I reinstall the app.

Lock and start. I had to unlock car about 20 miles away and it worked. When others have to go out door to start car with fob, mine app works from any distance and any spot Update. Since you updated this app, I am lucky if car starts even after several tries. It says hold down to start but I hold for long time and still doesn’t start and continues to say hold down to start

Lightning fast!. The only issue this app ever had was how long it took to load. Not anymore! Even after a cold start, it’s ready to use within ~2 seconds! Beyond that, it’s very easy to use. Has a clean interface, and offers all the features I’ve ever wanted. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve unlocked the doors when I left the key somewhere in the house and I don’t want to run back in and search for it, or started the engine on a blisteringly hot day to cool the cabin down. Traditional “fob-based” remote start is great, but the ability to start the car from literally any distance is a total game changer.

Life Saver. This service has made my wife and I Life so much better, honestly!! I have a GMC truck and she has a Buick. We both have used the app to unlock the others vehicles if we need to get something out of the others vehicle instead of going into their work place or back in the house to get their keys, or to let one of adult kids in to get something they’ve left in the car without being interrupted at work. Then of course the best ever, starting the car to warm up no matter how far away from the vehicles we are!! Love the service, especially the price!! FREE!!!

App works great!. No issues with the app that I’ve run across yet. I think it works great and is very useful. The only thing I’d recommend adding on the next upgrade is the ability to schedule the remote start so it does it automatically when I’m getting ready for work in the morning. It would also be great if I’m at a function where I can’t pull my phone out to start warming up the car.

LOST.... My Wife and I are EXTREMELY disappointed with this app. We only purchased this app so we could pinpoint where our grandson would be with our car. When we first installed it , it was great and provided not only a location map, but a physical address. Now when we turn the app on, we have no idea where the car is. We are just shown a map with location and nearby streets—no city name or even what STATE the car is in!! So this app no longer meets our needs. We are very disappointed in that. In addition, the app used to give you the option to link to Google Maps so that you could actually see how far away the location was, even giving directions on how to get there. It does not do that any longer. This is equally disappointing... We hope that you can revise it to work as it did before!!

Update: working again. Update: the system must have been down for a couple of days but I was finally able to get past the create pin screen. Will check around more but so far so good. Very helpful when it comes to setting up service/maintenance appts. This app used to be great. Now as soon as I try to log in it requires me to set up a pin which I don’t need but even when I do try to set it up, an error screen pops up and it keeps pushing me back to sign in. Don’t require a PIN. It worked fine without it.

I would give them more money. If I knew for a fact, when I call customer service that I will get somebody that will actively listen to me and help me resolve some of my problems instead of repeating what I’m saying to them and doing the total opposite! And if customer service knew about the services and new better how to explain them, I may even purchase more services, but I am experiencing so many issues now I don’t know if I should keep on paying, but I cannot lie your cell phone doesn’t have service is good to have mobile Wi-Fi on your car

Safety & Security? None.. My elderly parents have a Buick LaCrosse that WAS in great condition, until the VIN was somehow RELEASED to several USERS in our area. We have had people REMOVING items from our vehicle when securely parked, the Intelilink computer, literally taken over by passerby’s, allowing them to “Listen in” to ALL conversations in the vehicle, pirate the Radio Am/Fm AND XM. Also the transmission has been “messed” with, I’m assuming the vehicle speed sensor, RPMS literally JUMP while we are driving down the road! This intrusion has cost my parents and myself a good amount of money, replacing stolen, destroyed, AND the damage done to the transmission is inevitably going to add to this accumulation of OUR money spent. How are these people able to obtain this info? Diagnostics as well. Shutting down the power steering, then after purchasing power steering fluid, we get back to the vehicle and it is no longer displaying the “power steering fluid” dummy light and works fine. Who should we turn to for reimbursement? And why on God’s green earth is there no way to LOCK others out of this vehicle? Highly unsafe, especially for my 82 year old mother. EXTREMELY disappointed. Looking forward to hearing from your company.

Annoyed sometimes furious. Mybuick app used to be amazing. But ever since this UI update, I've have nothing but problems. It's very annoying to have to hold the button icon down so long in order to send a signal. It's weird. I didn't have to before. The thing that I hate.... Absolutely hate!... It's the UI screen lock and unlock buttons. They tend to be faded out. I can't lock or unlock my vehicle. Today my hands were full and couldn't get to my key fob. I figured I'd lock it with the app when I get inside. As of right now... The unlock is faded. Can't touch it. The lock button is bright but it says locked. But my door is unlocked. There is no way to lock it. I push it and nothing happens. At either time one or the other will be faded and unable to be pressed. This is common. I'll have to go to my car in order to lock the door. Major inconvenience because I'm in an apartment. It's a long walk to my car and I'm undressed. I pay a monthly full for this app I'm furious. But this has happened ever since the user interface update. It looks good but doesn't work good. I keep having to delete and reinstall the app just for it to happen again!

Good but wouldn’t pay. So I work in cellular, everyone offers things like this car monitoring , road side assistance, remote start. What makes this the way to go is it’s by your cars manufacturer, I like to go to the dealership not because the tech in the bay is 35 and has held a wrench since 3 but because it’s a dealership. This app works when you’re using it. I have to go section by section and update to see what the cars status is. If my tire is low I want to get an alert on my phone, not go to where I’d find tire pressure drag it down and release wait for it to load and then know, by that time I’m already in my car driving. Even if it being more live, or if it automatically updated when I open the app would be great. For the first week I was just opening the app and thinking the app was updating with me opening it, boy was I wrong. I’ll tell you I love he buttons on there, the point there’s added security when opening in, turning on etc. But would love the app the work outside of me having it opened if that makes sense.

Frequent resets hurt functionality. The theoretical usefulness of the remote key fob is great, even better as a watch app. That’s the only reason I pay for OnStar. Unfortunately the app needs to be hard reset (sometimes even the phone) often. The watch app even more so, requesting the user to login on the phone first, eliminating any usefulness of a watch app. The app gives both the phone and watch the option to remain logged in, but that doesn’t seem to work. First world problems, I know, but if this app had the full support of one of the biggest automobile manufacturers in the world it would be perfect.

Watch won’t work. Updated 2/8/21. Whatever you did with the last update has made this app worse. Apple Watch no longer works at all. I have to log into the app every time I use it on my iPhone. Every time after logging in I have to agree to the terms of service. Not sure what’s going on but if it wasn’t -25 degrees F here I wouldn’t even bother with this app. I’ve had this app for years along with my Apple Watch. In the last few months I’ve noticed I can no longer use the app on my watch to start my car, unlock, etc. very disappointed. Now when I try to use watch I have to open my phone and put my pin in. Then use my watch. This makes no sense. I’ve checked all my setting and even marked the allow pin on I watch setting. Still doesn’t work.

Worthless waste of money. Whatever they did to the app has ruined it! Ever since they updated it I have had nothing but problems. I pay for the service mostly to be able to remote start my car from the app especially in the winter. Before I used to be able to tap it and it would start right up, now if it even connects which 90% of the time it errors out, it fails to start over and over, it takes a minimum of 2/3 times of going out and coming back in the app for it to actually start. It’s beyond annoying and frustrating! I hate paying for something that doesn’t work.

Ahead of the competition. I agree with some of the frustrations due to slow reaction of the app/multiple steps when using the remote start (1 star removed). Other than that, the app is working as advertised for me 9/10 times. I like it. Checked the Mercedes and Lexus apps with horrible ratings and the owners are giving this GM app as the “go to” example. Ha! Infinity and Acura don’t even have a remote start option in their app.. In addition, there are no customer representatives answering there. Good job GM, but don’t get complacent

Shame on me.. I love this app. I love even more that I can start my car from my watch. What I don’t love is after I start my car twice remotely. That’s all I get. I really wish you could at least unlock your car on a third time option. Here’s why. Because when you go to dinner on the coldest night of the year. You take two cars. Your husband leaves early. Takes both sets of car keys. (Because he forgot you were using his keys) not thinking you use your remote to start, twice. Then go to Leave with your friends. Then realize your keys are in the car and you can’t remote unlock your car. There’s a tow ban so no tow truck can help. You have to find a way to get home round trip 40 minutes for keys. (Because your husband is working a double the next morning) that is all carry on and enjoy the chuckle. I have several times.

Good App and works with Alexa!. I would give this app 5 stars, but due to a problem i am noticing since the last update I am going to give 4. Before the latest update I was able to start, lock, and locate my vehicle from the watch. Now the watch app requires me to log in from my phone. Sadly, if I lock my keys and phone in my car, how am I able to unlock my car from my watch app, if I have to log in from my phone?? Until the feature to log in with my pin is reset on the watch portion of the app, 4 stars for you! You want 5?? Please fix this portion of the settings. Thank you.

Doesn’t work after iOS update. Well you guys just did an update and it still does not work on the Apple watch. Worked perfectly before iOS update 13 4 weeks ago, two days ago you updated to “ fix bugs” but they ain’t fixed! I used to love this app, after the IOS 13 update it needs to be patched ASAP. It no longer works at all on my Apple watch, I’m a runner & don’t want to carry keys & phone. Before I realized the app wasn’t working day after update I got locked out of my car after a run. On the phone- Face ID is not working & it will let you in the app w/ o the passcode bu hitting cancel. I have uninstalled/reinstalled twice, Face ID & allow pin on watch are both toggled in settings & “ show on watch” is selected in my watch app. Before IOS 13 I never had an issue.

Not reliable enough. Love the concept of this app. Primary use case is to be able lock my keys and iPhone in my Regal, go for a run in the park, come back to my car and unlock it with my Apple Watch. Should be simple enough, but it’s a roll of the dice every time I come back from my run - could take 10 seconds, but more often takes much longer. I look and feel really dumb standing outside my car sweating in the sun while I keep clicking on the unlock button, eventually rebooting my watch, hitting it a couple of more times, then finally getting it to work 15 minutes after I started. There’s clearly message queuing issues between the Watch app and iPhone app. And speaking of that, at this point in the development lifecycle, there’s no reason that a cellular Apple Watch should need to be connected to an iPhone in order to work; it should be able to connect directly with OnStar web services.

Isn’t working right. It is no longer saving my email address, so I have to type that in and my password in every time. Then it freezes up and won’t load for me to type in my passcode after two minutes. Then I have to shut my phone off and start it back up to get it to act right. Please help with this. It’s been doing this for a week or longer now. I should be able to keep my email in the sign on like it was before. And please fix the lockup so I don’t have to shut my phone off to get it to load up properly

We asked, now take action. First line in your description says “You asked and we took action” But that is false. No one asked to have the “Keep Me Signed In” option to be removed, yet you did and everyone here is asking for you to bring it back, and your responses are all in disregard just saying to uninstall and reinstall, which does not bring back that option. Will you take action and bring it back? Can you imagine having to login everytime you checked your email on your phone? Nobody wants that, at least let us choose to stay logged in or not on this MyBuick app.

myBuick app ~ $10 per month. I have been leasing cars since 2016 and not only one car but two simultaneously. I loved using the app solely because of the remote control. When my car is parked too far away from building, I am able to use the app to remove start and to be able to know that it is successfully done. But just a few weeks ago, it turns out, the remote control function isn’t free to leasing car owners. And the cost to use the functions on the app cost $10 per month. I don’t understand why they need to charge $10 monthly for this since technically the remote control is the same thing as having the key but just using it on the app. Every other automotive company like Ford and Toyota that I know of let’s their lease owners use it free and/ or is included. I CANT BELIEVE YOU HAVE YOU PAY $10 PER MONTH TO USE THE REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTION ON THE GM/ BUICK APP. 😡

The worst app. Insane process to get the app downloaded and create an account to where it is usable. Are you people seriously this far behind on technology??? You don’t have a database of all vehicles manufactured, really? The app asked to create an account. Ok, understandable. Then it asked me to press the on-star button in my car. Really, I don’t subscribe to that crap and this app requires it for me to view/edit features my car provides. Nuts! To make matters worse after I get the VIN entered the app now wants me to enter the freakin year, make and model… insane. Ok, so I fell for this too. Guess what.. please press the on-star button it asked AGAIN! I’m done with the app and probably done with car. A car that used to be American made now made in Korea. Thank your government officials.

Legal Requirements Unreadable. This review is about the signup process & not the app functionality. The required terms & conditions are provided in a 1 pt font that is impossible to read on my phone screen. I tried three different times to email the terms to myself. Either this app doesn’t handle that correctly or Apple security controls prevent it. Regardless, I can’t find a way to read what they legally want us to agree to and I can’t agree to it if I can’t read it. I despise these forced contracts, and even more so when companies assume we don’t need to read them and will just agree to anything. Shame on Buick for such devious tactics!

Best app ever. I love keeping tabs on my car. I love being able to use locate when I forget where I am parked, lock when I am not sure if I remember to and auto start when I am within 15 min of going out to my hot or too cold vehicle. I just remember to lower or increase the temp before I exit the vehicle since it recalls the last setting that’s on when the vehicle is turned off. I believe it’s my favorite, if there can be one thing of the benefits the app provides. Thank you Buick for a great vehicle I have in my Enclave with all the bells and whistles. Oh, I must also include my heated and air cooled seats and steering wheel. 😉

Encore. After Hurricane Harvey I was so depressed and disgusted about all The flooding and losses I had and the people around me. I contacted my insurance provider just to let them know that my car had water in it up to my glove box...just in case something would malfunction later...but they had to end someone out to inspect it...it was totaled...I was given a rental...long story short, I took my niece to check on a vehicle and I also ended up getting mine from that same dealership...and Aliya year later took my son to purchase a Buick Encore also...my Encore is white...it’s name is Ghostie ...😁

Not happy with recent changes. On the replaced MyBuick app I was able to check the location of the car when it was being used by my children unable to perform that function on this app. Also I was able to remotely see the tire pressure, fuel level and percent of oil life remaining functions that no longer exist; just a message stating “No issues. Good to go”, Not happy with new app..... After reinstalling the app it woks terrific, no functions were comprised by the updated version. Very happy.

Glitchy and won’t connect to the car. When this app works it works well, when it gets glitchy it won’t allow you to login. It’ll have errors with the two authentication system. It has since changed to not being able to navigate with turn by turn directions. For theist 3 months every time I want to use turn by turn directions the only option it gives me is walking directions. Walking directions are not helpful when driving a car. I had a hardware update nearly 2 weeks ago and now navigation is worse than before. It will not connect at all. It then sends me through to OnStart, which is also no help. Tech help is mildly helpful at best. For the past 3 months I’ve paid for this app and the OnStar surface and have received 25% of its service. No one knows how to fix it, everyone has the same answer which ultimately doesn’t fix the problem.

Great! When it works... Have had several issues getting this to work 100% of the time. Usually works about 65-75% of the time. Mostly have to try twice to get my vehicle to start. Sometimes it won’t start at all. I would love to see them integrate some way to deal with unreliable cell and WiFi connections which I believe is the cause of all the failed remote start commands. Also Competing companies like Viper are allowing virtual assistants like Siri to start/stop, lock or unlock the vehicles using verbal commands, which would be a fantastic improvement. No idea why GM and onstar aren’t doing this as well as I would think this would be pretty simple for a company like them to do.

Doesn’t work.. OnStar can’t figure out why the app isn’t working. I’ve spoken to at least a half a dozen people who have helped me “troubleshoot” the possible reasons it’s not working. Sign out of the app, uninstall the app, turn off the phone for 2 min before reinstalling, etc. nothing works. Very frustrating.

Good App. All the commands work fine and they work about 98% of the time. Reading through the most recent reviews, it seems some people have had a bad experience. I can assure you, that is not the case with me. There’s plenty of information available on the app, and using it as a spare key is quite helpful.

Very poor. Sometime it works, but most of the time it doesn’t, very expensive for what you get! And if you call onstart it has to be between 9-5 otherwise they can’t help you.

Always crashes. I’ve had to reinstall this app 3 or 4 times because the starter button locks up and just says Off or Sent and doesn’t reset itself. I truly dislike how flakey it is.

Frustrating. This app is frustrating. It keeps greying out the unlock button causing me to have to uninstall and app amd resist all it. I called on star and they said it’s a bug within the app which they are “hoping” to fix. I previously had the gmc app and never had this issue. I also don’t really love the layout of the buttons. It could be better overall.

Good app but diagnostics is useless. Very good app and has all information with your car. But diagnostics is kinda useless. I have check engine light and dealerships does not care about what the diagnostics in the app. They want me to pay for diagnostics for engine light on even though it says in the app Emission system. 🤷‍♂️

Incorrect French translation. In the main window of the MYBUICK app there is button labelled START used to remotely start the engine of the Buick. START has been translated to COMMENCER. COMMENCER translated back to English would be BEGIN. When applied to starting a mechanical device, START should be translated as DÉMARRER. Therefore in the French version of the MYBUICK app, .. DELETE————— COMMENCER REPLACE BY ——-DÉMARRER

Buick hasn’t made real cars since about 2010…. Most Buicks now are these stupid tiny mini SUVs that are all swoopy and rounded off, they all look like giant babies shoes now… Bring back the Roadmaster & Park Avenue!

A few troubles. For the most part has been pretty good except for what I needed the most coming home from the airport tried to start it by the app wouldn’t start kept asking me to sign in it it’s got a long process to go through clearly if I have a face password I’m the one using it so you have to go through all that every single time to sign into use it is a little annoying of the upgrades you’ve made in my opinion are not upgrades.

Won’t remote start car. The “start” button has mysteriously turned into an “off” button. Won’t start, but the key fob will. Broken after last update. Running iOS 15.1 Update: Seems they fixed the previous issue with the “off” button. But now when pressing and holding the “start” button, it says “sent”. After that, 30% of the time the car will start. The rest the button says “failed”. Sometimes a second attempt will work. Sometimes it won’t work at all. Must say that I’m disappointed in this “remote car app”. It is more of a frustration app.

The power button. Lately have issues with the app. I start the car one day, the next day for example the power button says off. So I can’t start the car. I have to delete the app and reinstall in order for it to work. Hopefully you can fix the problem

Latest Update Not Working. Buick was doing so well with this app…until their last one which has rendered the vehicle stats useless. Lock/unlock still works, but mileage and other diagnostics remain stuck at the pre-update level. Turned off my phone and started up again does nothing. Delete and reload the app again does nothing. Better QA is needed before releasing new updates. For what is being paid, GM MUST do better

Epic App Update Fail….yet again. Newest update won’t keep you logged in. What an epic failure of the app again. Logging in is a complete nightmare each time 👎

When it decides to work. I have to say it is great to know that your car is doing all right just by looking on your app but that’s only when it decides to work half the time it takes you to the normal home screen and then you just can’t do anything

Does not work half the time. I used to never heave trouble with this app but after the new update the start but doesn’t work half the time. I have to delete the app, reinstall it, and then it works. Super inconvenient and not at all worth the money I’m paying for this. Maybe take a look at your glitches and figure it out because people are paying money for this.

Connection issues. Have had connection issues with this app after the last update. Hit the refresh button countless times and won’t update the status of my car. Tried My Cadillac app and had the same problem there as well.

Dangerous app. Every time i use to open door i have to click to agree on leagal sheet . Every single time. If i need to get in my car fast there is no way. Today i cant get in my car in the states because there us an update i am forced to download while roaming. This is dangerous and very cumbersome. Never gm again.

Buick Encore Upgrade. Since the upgrade neither fuel level or oil life update. Tire pressure is not updating either. Very annoying. GM please fix!

Start feature shutting off. All in all app is pretty good. Do have an issue with the start feature turning off. I have to delete app and reinstall for it to come back.

They’ve made the app worse. It was a 4-5 star app but one of my fave features was being able to see my mpg per trip and compare it to previous trips. That seems to have been completely removed for reasons I can’t fathom. Not I can only see my lifetime average mpg which is virtually useless. They’ve also moved the trip stats into an Onstar section. You have to agree to their terms to see the data — presumably so they can sell it as grouped data or otherwise to third parties. Terrible move and a much worse app.

Stop making changes. It was much better when the app showed how much gas in the tank, not the percentage

I updated from a previous version which I loved and the app doesn’t even open on my iPhone; all I get is a black screen. Don’t like the dark color of the app either. How can I get my previous MyBuick app back? Uninstalling and reinstalling solved all my problems with this app. Thanks for emailing me this solution. So far so good with the MyBuick app.

The old OnStar app was a million times better than the Buick one. The old OnStar app was reliable, had lots of options and almost always worked. Ever since they converted to this Buick app, it rarely works AND seems to have lost almost all the prior functionality except for starting of the car/sounding horn, etc. I used to be able to check my cars mileage, oil life and fuel right from the app, but none of the options exist now. It’s ridiculous I pay money for an app that doesn’t consistently work and has far fewer options than years ago.

Beauty is superficial. This app is pretty, I love the UX. The functionality on the other hand disappoints. Each time I launch the app I am asked if I want to enable biometrics. I say yes every time and they work but it still asks next time… If I can want to start my car the following happens… 1. I hold the button down forever (20+ seconds until I know it is never coming back from the dimmed screen) 2. I force quit and relaunch the app 3. All controls are dimmed so I tap the top of the screen where the “select your car” UI is and select my car. 4. All controls “un-gray” and I can hold the button the normal 3-5 seconds to start it. This must be based on some timing. If I repeatedly start and stop my car within a few minutes all works great. If I go a few days - pretty normal at this time of year - I ALWAYS have the above problem. Bad cache? Stale auth data? No idea but would be a great app if this was fixed.

Great app; however, the Buick version is missing the Apple Watch complication.... I love the app, but half the initial excitement from me was being able to remote lock/unlock my car from my watch fast. When I downloaded the GMC app, it had a complication that I could use to instantly launch the app. The Buick app lacks this. Could it be added in an update? I’d change my rating to 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟it added :)

Where is my remote start button. I have always have the remote start button in this app. Since this last update it is gone! Where is it!? I love it. I love the convenience of this app. Everything is at the touch of a button. When my key remote stopped working this was my lifesaver until I was able to replace it. Especially during the summer and winter months being able to have the car cooled or heated for myself and kids. All of the features from scheduling appointments, vehicle diagnostic etc this is a great app.

I like it…. I love the concept of the app. I really like the features but lately it seems like the app only works once in a while. Which is disappointing since I really do like using it. I checked all my updates and everything should be running fine but it’s not. Once the glitches are fixed I think it would be a very useful app especially as colder weather is upon us.

Freezing not remote to the 2013 Buick Regal Turbo. Since the new apple phone update and the My Buick app has been affected. The start remote freezes and just sits idle in start does not do any updates. Speak with OnStar they tried to refresh but the app does not send signal or update to my vehicle.

No stars is appropriate. Why have an app that lies to you? I remote start my car from the app and it says my car is running, I extend for 15 more minutes and when I go to my car the app still shows 10 min left and my car is not running and was never started!! This happens 7 out of 10 times I remote start my car! Very unreliable app. I assume that my car is running while I have coffee or get dressed on a cold morning and when I get out there it’s is still cold! Wh have an app that is so unreliable?

Rewards issues. Have used app for awhile and for many things it worked great. When it comes to redeeming rewards points they have real issues. Tried to use them for Onstar products and even though app says they are redeemed, nothing will work even after five days. Tried the chat function on the app to troubleshoot and all I was able to accomplish was that they can open a case and they gave me a phone number to speed up the process possibly. Such a headache, so much for a reward.

Really Great App!. This is a really handy app, especially when I forget my keys on a quick trip out to retrieve something from my car and it’s locked. Saves me from going back inside. I also like the fact that I can start my car to let it warm up or cool off depending on the season.

No value added with the update. Loaded up the app one day and I lost the ability to unlock/lock and remote start my car. I guess these features require a monthly payment now. The only feature left now is schedule a maintenance appointment. Which is funny because now it doesn’t show vehicle health. I am fine with not using Buick repair shops after this update. I also don’t see anything of value you added to this app that now requires payments for features that used to be free. I am curious if the remote start on my fob will require a subscription soon.

Keyless function. I have noticed that on the iPhone 8plus the Keyless function is not showing. I really loved that function because it was very useful for me and now it’s no longer available on my phone. I have contacted my provider and my phone was reset several times and still not there. Please add the function back. Thanks in advance.

Used to be a good app. I used to be able to refresh the app and get current data on my car. Now it will only update if you have your connected phone in the connected car with you. Apparently you must have to open the app in the vehicle as well because I had my phone with me yesterday and my myBuick is still showing incorrect data. It says I have a full tank of gas when I actually only have 160 miles left on the tank.

Ads...really queen?. It’s ridiculous this app has ads, especially since you are paying OnStar to use it. And since the last update where it seems ads were tossed in I get a error every time I open the app and try to refresh car data. It’s almost enough to delete the app and stop paying OnStar to use it.

Inconsistent and lacking some key items. Remote actions work very inconsistently. Continually get server unresponsive failure message with a great cell signal. Key items missing - seat warmer and ability to set the climate controls for remote start. I’m in Texas. I may have been using the A/C when I last drove the car but would like remote start to start the car with the heater on. Other manufacturers offer it. Inconsistent functionality is the worst part, though.

Terrible. I hate the June 2021 update. They improved the start button, by adding more rings. So a LITTLE better to see. You still can’t see the lock and unlock buttons when trying to use them. I really hate that the app wants to update the status of the car, at the exact time that I want to start my car. Now I have to wait 2 or 3 minutes, when I'm ready now. I don’t understand how the Engineers didn’t catch this in beta testing. I loved the old version of the app, BECAUSE IT WORKED.

Amazing. So convenient! I can start my car from anywhere, find where my car is if I leave it in a parking garage, track the maintenance and gas tank. Only feature I would love to see is controlling the temp from the app, but I doubt that can even be added!

Doesn’t work after update. After entering login credentials, app doesn’t connect to the servers. I’ve tried numerous ways to correct this over the past couple of days, but no luck. Update: After 3+ weeks of working to troubleshoot this on my own (with no help from Buick when I contacted them and no additional response from Buick), the app still does not respond. This is very disappointing, as the app went from one I used almost daily to completely unusable. While the vehicle side of owning a Buick has been very positive, this is terrible! My wife drives a GMC, and its app still works flawlessly.

Keeps improving.. Since the redesign the application keeps improving. The redesign of the vehicle status is very nice. The application keeps responding quicker. The watch application reliability is also much improved. This application beats other vehicle applications. If you have a Buick (or any GM equipped vehicle) this application is very handy.

Logging out. I love the fact that I can start my car, lock doors, etc from the app. Recently it seems that as soon as I close the app it logs me out. Not sure why since you have to enter your password or use your fingerprint to actually use any of the functions. At least allow fingerprint access to open the app or save the information. Having to re-enter the password for each use is becoming annoying.

Vehicle Locator Sub-Par. The vehicle location part of the app has changed for the worse. It is slower to find the vehicle (takes more then a few minutes), is no longer detailed and no longer allows you to map to the location of you vehicle. A lot of the features it had are gone! Very disappointed!

Pretty good app but.......... So this app has some pretty cool features and a good amount of information and control I honestly would of given it 5 stars but I did not because it’s missing the ability to control the air and windows from the app with these cars being so modern and the technology being way out there it should give us the ability to control the air temp in the car and the windows as well if we want to let hot air out. Otherwise a pretty cool app.

Using remote start .. Works well ! I have used this feature many more times than in the past . It worked quicker than before . I dod have a new phone now so that helped 😆. Being aware of my cars info also works for me as well . Love my Buick , thank you for helping me stay on the move 🙏🏾.

Annoying errors, but otherwise it works well.. Works great except for random errors that occur on both my phone and my wife’s. The errors have persisted through 5 separate phones (my wife’s and mine combined). Been in contact with support twice and they never resolved the issue. Mostly just an annoyance as the errors can be cleared and the app otherwise functions as expected.

Unjustifiable Cost. How can you justify the minimum cost of $35/mo to have the capabilities of these services, when that is 14% of the monthly lease cost for your lower-end vehicles? Who in their right mind would pay 10-20% more for their vehicle, just to have these remote features enabled? It doesn’t make sense and it isn’t justified. Basic diagnostic and remote control functionality should be included with your vehicles from here forward and only additional data and services should be charged for.

Bad application for my Buick. Now on my third download of this application. Does not seem to work more than once, then goes south. Checked keep me logged in but each time I click application I need my password. Clicked use face recognition, oh yea needed my password. Poorly designed application.

Works 50/50. Ok, so if your looking for a solid app that works all the time, then this isn’t for you. Yes it starts your car (sometimes) yes it will lock and unlock your vehicle (sometimes) And yes it tells you something is wrong with your car….. (you guessed it, sometimes) I wish they would put a little more effort in making sure app works instead of just doing cosmetic changes. You’ll find opening the app causes it to crash, or the lock/unlock buttons don’t work, or the start button already says ”Sent” when you didn’t even send anything! Frustrating to say the least. Like I said, it’s a 50/50 app so use with being warned.

App bug?. I got a new iPhone 12 and now the app doesn’t bother opening. I didn’t have this problem before. Short of calling Buick and being put on hold for hours, I guess I can’t use the app! Update: I FINALLY got the app to work again! I had to uninstall it & reinstall it SEVERAL times! Now if they could just get the online information to actually match the app information it would be great!

My Envision. Best car I have ever owned, and I have owned a few! Right size, right engine, right price. What a great car! The mileage is fantastic, the comfort and silence is beyond compare. We love our Envision and when the lease is up we will gladly purchase the vehicle outright. It may well be, with me being 73 years old, that this Envision May well be my last car ever.

New update ruins basic functionality. Auto start and lock/unlock now requires holding down on the touch screen vs making your selection . Resulting in many failed attempts to use features that worked fine previously . I understand the new update is aesthetically better . Would have been nice if the app still worked just as well as the previous iteration .

No longer allows me to do the one thing I need. The one feature I used in this app was the virtual fob. I would remote start my car while I was in the house getting ready for work. Or maybe I would lock the doors from my living room if I thought I’d forgotten to do so when I got out of the car. This remote fob was the only thing I used. Well, now that we have cold weather, I wanted to warm up my car. I go to the app and ...that feature is no longer available. I’ve had the car five years. I guess now that I’ve paid off the car loan, they’ve booted me from the feature. Real good way to turn me off coming back to Buick.

Used to be So Much Better. The title of this review says it all. Some things are better off being left alone. App worked fine for years. Then you decided to make these changes and the app crashed as soon as I opened it. This problem lasted a few months until I purchased a new car in March. Put service in place, app worked fine with. 3-month free trial, then half-way through my 3-month free trial disappears. After 5 communications to OnStar with no resolution, I finally have to voice a formal complaint here. Every person I speak to over there has a different answer, but no one can resolve my issues. Big disappointment.

Doesn’t work. This app was great when I first started using it a couple years ago. Now it’s been over 3 weeks since it has worked for me & I live in Michigan where I want my car to be started ahead of time! This is ridiculous for something that I AM PAYING FOR MONTHLY & it doesn’t work! Not happy at all. I’ve uninstalled & reinstalled the app. It started to spin then stops & does nothing. I’m about to cancel my subscription since the only reason I have it is to start my car but it doesn’t work!!

Buick App. I don’t like the fact that now you have to “sign in” every time you need to use the app. It used to be that the app would stay open so you could use it without signing in each time. Very annoying and time consuming.

Bad update. Since the app updated the app is awful. It signs you out every time. Takes forever to sign back in. Half the time you have to close the app and try again. Buick customer service has responded to other reviews/complaints about this and they advice to delete the app and reinstall. It still doesn’t fix the issues and you still have to constantly sign in. They need to fix the app, but also give a credit to those people who are paying for remote fob access since it’s so inconvenient now.

Won’t work. I have the app and with the recent update it has made me relogin and now when I log in it has me add a vehicle. So I put in the details about my Buick and when I press add vehicle it says it is not linked so I press link vehicle and then it make me log back and do the process over again I can’t even get to where I see the screen about the status about your vehicle and all the other parts of that screen. If they can figure this out so I can log in and use the app I would change my review.

This app is a Godsend. I have trouble sometimes with locking my keys in the car. This app has helped me pop the trunk to find my keys sitting where I accidentally left them all by an easy phone app. It does take time but it cranks the car ahead of time and that’s definitely a great feature, for the colder months. Unlocks and locks doors and it works from inside most stores.

Do not install upgrade. It takes away location service without warning. We have been pleased with this app till now. Although nothing was mentioned in the upgrade description, the car locator service worked fine yesterday but is not available after the upgrade. Apparently they now require us to buy an Onstar subscription now. In the future, Buick should note services being removed from the app so we users will know whether to install the upgrade. It is a mistake to install this upgrade without paying for a full Onstar subscription.

Convenient. I love the flexibility of the application. Being able to remotely start the car check the tire pressures and the like is a pretty good feature in a cold climate. I also liked my locate the car feature, and the horns and lights when I’m parked in a crowded stadium lot!

Great Remote Start Feature, when it works. App is terrific and shows lots of relevant data. I have recently been using it often for remote start, but it seems as if evert single time I attempt to use that feature, the app times out. Only after force quitting, restarting the app, and pressing remote start again does the command actually go through. Hope this bug is fixed soon.

Buick App. This app is the BEST!!! This is the most convenient app that I have ever downloaded for a car! It allows me to start and stop my car, see oil life and gas, I can unlock and lock my door ANYWHERE in the world… AMAZING! From here on out I will always get a car that has this specific amenity!

Vehicle location service lacks. I like the my Buick app but the vehicle location service is not the same as On Star. On Star provided approximate address location of vehicle and driving directions to the vehicle. My Buick just shows the vehicle on a map. I hope they correct and show the same as On Star. I am very disappointed.

Awesome!. Just got my Regal after years of saving for it. I downloaded this app right away. The remote start is a must especially if you live in a cold climate. I also really like the informational features that tell you your fuel level, tire pressure, oil life and more! If you have a Buick I highly recommend this app!

Update and information is gone. The latest update and I open the app and my Buick is blank on my screen I had the capability before the update I have tried to delete and reload and I still don’t get anything on the screen it is blank and white

From a simple key fob, to more advance GPS directions, and even service appointment Schduling, this app has all your Buick™ needs enclosed in an easy to use and handy iPhone app.

Not terrible. “60% of the time, it works every time.” When you sign in it gives you a prompt says it could stay logged in or up to 365 days. Sounded fine since it has you create a PIN as a second step. Annoying the app logs out every other day. This voids the shortcuts of 3D pressing the icon or using your Apple Watch forcing you to log back into your account from you phone.

GM APP. I have a 2016 Buick Verano and I use the Gm On-Star App. I have only 1 problem, with the app in starting the car app, but that is due to the phone trying to use wi- do and cell data at the same time. Once I get further away from the wi-go source or turn off the wi-fi , I have no problems with the app. I use the app all the time to start my car, to lock and unlock my car, to check the tire pressures, to check the online owners manual, to schedule service ( if I need it ). I also use the Buick Smart Rewards driver, to make me aware of how I drive. All of these reviews that have the Buick app, should try the GM On-Star app. I also have a I Phone- X and still have no problems.

Navigation Link Missing. Every few months or so the navigation link goes missing under More in the My Buick App. No amount of contacting customer support from My Buick or OnStar seems to result in a resolution. Why does this keep happening?? My OnStar account is paid for and up to date. All of my vehicles information is correct and up to date in my Buick account. If I cannot send directions to my car from the app what am I paying for? Someone please fix this!!

Same ongoing issues for 18 months. Car has to be started every couple of days or app data will not update. I regularly get the infamous “unable to connect” message. Presently, vehicle locate does not work and Im getting the infamous message yet again. These type issues have been ongoing for over 18 months and Tech Support has escalated my case many times. Problems resolve temporarily, then reappear if car sits a few days without being driven. Disappointing and frustrating.
