Ruined by Too many unrelated ads. Too many unrelated and maybe misleading ads doomed this app. Save your time by avoiding this app.

I give it 1 star because there is no option for negative. All news are fake, domestic or international. Praises of President Xi and the central government are always on the top lines of the front page. No "negative energy" is allowed in either the report or comment sections. Other than the fake news on politics, it is flooded with superficial entertainment topics and indecent topics, if not obscene commercials. It is designed to feed trash to its readers and fool them. Together with Sina, Tencent News was once considered by many as the top platforms to see China. However, over the past few years both continued to deteriorate. Now I am appalled by its poor quality. The developers and Tencent should be ashamed of themselves to produce such a garbage App.

Just like Chinese Twitter and it stinks. This thing is just like Chinese Twitter. It controls how and what you say. No comments are posted/seeable until the “party police” read it. Only comments or “news” you can see on this app.

穷酸的评论，党的喉舌. While I am Chinese, the commenting section make me feel sick. I suspect that most commenter are uneducated Chinese with an insular mindset. They only blindly praise how good China is and trash talk everything in the western world. Most news on the platform are either made up or twisted in interpretation, creating a fantasy bubble for the Chinese nationalists.

Worst social media ever. As a statistician, I could say for sure whoever designed the recommender system for this app is either ill-skilled or ill-minded. Is there anything WRONG with your thoughts about what I would like based on my previous review? WHY would I want to see a Chinese “actor” who is actually a RACIST and SEXIST just because I watched several irrelevant Chinese series? AND I cannot block his news. Nice play!

This app has been controlled by Chinese gov.. this is a really ridiculous app, all the news just only shows the positive things in China, negative things outside of China.

The big brother. It takes a high IQ to extrapolate the facts here. It will tell us what is the new, what is the truth, and what we. should think....... we have to learn how process our own data. If you can not, it will be hard to use this app.

Stealing your privacy. Based on my long term observation, this APP is continuously spying your cell phone activities, e.g., your Safari browser history. Each time after you searching on Safari, this APP will push the related news to you. I’m wondering if this APP also spying other APPs, e.g., GPS, message, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.? I’m also wondering if the APPs from the same company do the same things as this APP? E.g. WeChat. Apple should clarify and make sure if it violates your rule or any laws.

The opening ad with sound is disturbing. Everytime I open up the app, the ad jumps out with sound which can be quite disturbing in a quiet environment.

Thanks to Tencent news for more inclusive view point. Tencent news provided better coverage of Asian news than other media outlets in the North America region. For that service, I want to say thank you! Meanwhile, I hope Tencent editors will do a better job in focusing on providing news reporting, less microblogging/personal-view-blogging types of articles.

Ad. They made the ads in a way that so easy to be clicked by mistake. Many times it started to play loud sound in midnight because I “accidentally” clicked their ads.

Breaking News. The best breaking news and entertainment app

A battery killer. First of all, it was very difficult to log in, having to try the stupid puzzles many many times. Finally I was able to log in, but it consumed 37% of my cell phone battery, even though I only spent less than one minute to browse one piece of the news. I’m not going to use it.

The world’s Biggest Fake News App. To say this is a news app is an insult to the word “news”. This is more of a social media app, they say whatever they want as long as the government allows. There are no facts but opinions. When I say opinions, I meant propagandas. Absolutely piece of junk.

新闻和评论让人心寒. So everything that is posted on this New App is about how good the Chinese government is and how wise the leaders are. And the comments make me feel shame. There is one comment that I read today saying that all American people should infect the virus and then beg China for help. And this kind of comments are common under all kinds of news. I feel shamed of these kinds of people and decided to delete this app today. Also I believe there are bots pretending as readers and posting some really bias comments that is shown as the recommended comments. Overall I feel really bad reading news from this App.

As a news app, it has the poorest content. It’s video news has nothing to do with titles, typos are everywhere, news is sourcing from small agents without proper validation whatsoever, not trustworthy at all. This is the worst news app ever!

Fake news and fake comments. I’ve had this app for years as my window to Chinese media, but recently I couldn’t take more and deleted the app. It has gone too far in only allowing speaking for the government. The comments highlighted under each article are so stupid and are selected based on government’s preference and possibly posted by paid bots, and I can’t even post comment anymore just because I commented some facts before. Tencent, you are hurting the country even if you are just following the order.

This is the worst app I’ve ever used!. After I completed all its problems, the app started to cheat in every single way not to give me game coins, such as taking a nap, denial of opening red envelopes and giving me coins. I contacted the customer service a couple of times. It is useless. I do not recommend this app to anyone.
