Was great until.... With the upgrade, no longer compatible with iPhone 5c. Was a great app, and my primary weather app until...

Used to be great. Used to be my favorite weather app. But since I upgraded my iPhone to the 6s plus. I can't even get the app to open anymore!

iPhone4s radar app. Like this weather radar only problem is when you touch the alert it will show no alerts for your area and tells you notifications are off -go to settings -then notifications to turn on or off the problem with that is the app isnt in notications and all notifications are on...fix this issue please

New updated app is absolutely terrible.. Hard to read at a glance. Overall, just terrible compared to the older version.

News 2 is # 1. Love this app!!! Now I know all me local weather updates while I'm away from home or work. Thanks News 2.

Bad update. This current update is one of worst. If looks as if some tech person is trying to keep their job so they had to make changes. I will be deleting this app after using it for many years.

New update not better. New update's current location doesn't work properly.

Won’t load. Good app except a lot of times it won’t load the current weather or it just crashes.

Better than weather channel app. If you want a more current radar this seems to be the better app. Radar always seems ahead of TWC app. Sometime a bit quirky. But, overall in my opinion a much better streamlined app. TWC app has gotten too bogged down with so called bells and whistles that weigh it down.

What’s wrong with this app. This was a great app till a couple weeks ago. Now I have to power off my iPhone and then it will work till I out of the app 🤨🤨👎👎👎

Virus. This app acts like a virus. It opens when you click on links in other apps.

Unacceptable. I normally use this app daily. They have changed the app requiring me to always run my location instead of while only using the app. This hasn't been a problem until recently. Will delete this app for this reason.

Great app. Very accurate I live in virginia and use this app because it is so much more accurate than others I've used best way to stay informed on your weather

Best weather app BUT.... Found out yesterday, it used 33% of my battery time during the day for “background activities.” Didn’t realize I had to formally “close” it. I will from now on, and be super careful when and how I use it.

Way to go NEWS 2. This is a great way to keep up with your local weather

I was wrong!. I was skeptical, but I find that my skepticism was totally unfounded. The service is accurate and dependable. Frankly, I have zero negative issues to report.

Awful now. Used to be my favorite also and as the other reviewers said it will take you to the app store to download some random app and before that I have to tap the app 4-5 times to open (well not anymore cause I deleted it and am using another local channels weather app). You shouldn't have tried to fix what's not broken. Maybe it will be good again one and i will re-download it

Nice if you live in Greensboro. Can't change the default location, at least on iPhone 4S. But map is better than others

Good but needs more. The app is awesome, but I think you should incorporate the local news or have an app for the local news. Other than that... Awesome app!!! :)

Crashes, won’t load. Crashes on start up, needs update to fix this

Works like a charm most of the time. Works like a charm on my iPad Air most of the time ....but storm front radar tracking doesn’t load the storm front images from time to time, and I have to go to my back up weather apps. Otherwise, this is my go app.

Very Good. This is my favorite local weather app! User friendly. Love that it tracks world wide earthquake activity as well... Weird hobby of mine. Only wish they had an iPad version as well.

Very accurate. As someone that works outside and also spends a lot time riding motorcycles in the mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina, having an accurate weather forecast is important. At one time I had 4 different weather apps on my phone, over a period of several months I would monitor the accuracy of each App eliminating the most inaccurate one. Eventuality the WFMY weather App was the only one remaining. Now weather is a science of prediction, a very educated guess, and no one is 100% right but I found WFMY to be the most accurate over all. It’s the only weather App left on my phone.

Crash. Running OS 13.3. The app no longer opens! Waiting for update. Moving to WRAL in the interim. This app is better... when it works. Good news! Around January 6th, the update came through and we’re back in business!

Ok app. Was a great app until it updated. Now I can't switch between my saved place to see what's going on where. It just stays on current location without any way of viewing any you have saved. Please fix this back so I don't have to delete and look for a different radar. UPDATE: Was a good app. Now requires you to have location services on all the time instead of just while using the app. PLEASE FIX AND CHANGE IT BACK. Until then I no longer use this app.

The new look is horrible.. The new look is horrible. I'd suggest you try something like this out on a test group first. Go back to what you had.

iPhone 5 problems. Ever since I switched from iPhone 4 to a 5 this app keeps shutting down and freezes up! Use to work just fine until now

Amazing. It was amazing (it was? It is) it was great for tracking hurricane irene because of the features. Awesome app. Amazing

NO Notifications. One reason for having the weather app is severe weather alerts/notifications. Earlier this evening, there was a tornado warning for my area and I had no clue! I checked settings in this app, all notifications were turned on. Then, I checked the settings on my phone for this app, every possible notification was turned on. Thank goodness my son called to make sure that I was aware of the tornado warning! There’s no point in keeping this app if the notifications don’t work!!

Useless App now. You used to have the best local weather app. Now it is just useless. It looks as though you just copied the Fox 8 Max weather app - which has always been less than mediocre.

Update did not work. You updated for the new ios6 and it still does not move the past radar. Please fix this bug. It's used to be the best radar app but it is useless now.

Great local weather app ⛅️🌧️🌩️. Switched from Weather Channel to the WFMY Weather app and it’s even better than the pay app 🎉🎉

Zimmerman Carpet & Rug Cleaners. Over the past 40 years of our business service to the Triad we have used WFMY throughout each winter to decide if we needed to heat our carpet cleaning vans to keep them from freezing. They have been impressively accurate. We also really enjoy the ease and flow of their weather app. Thank you News 2 for helping us keep our equipment from freezing… Not even once!

Bad Screen design. This app was much better before the most recent update. With the advertising banner across the top and the new banner across the bottom the screen is so cluttered it's difficult to view the radar screen. The radar screen is the most vital part of this app during weather emergencies. Please pay attention to this review and the reviews of others, which express similar thoughts. Hopefully WFMY will improve this app or at least go back to the previuos version. For my family's safety, I will be using another weather app until this app is improved.

Great but buggy. When it decides to work it's a great app, but for the past several weeks all it does is crash every time I open it. I've noticed this especially happens where there's a lot of graphics in the form of storms/rain on the radar. It's crashing so much lately that I'm considering deleting it, but I'm hoping they'll create an update to help. In all the months I've had the app I can't recall a single update, so surely it's time for one.

Best weather app. Use it daily to determine weather changes and when to anticipate. Most reliable source.

I like it but.... I wish it would alert me of severe weather without me having to open it. The latest update alleges I can go into settings, notifications, but the app is not listed there. Otherwise, this one is my fav weather app.

App Store/3rd party redirect. I have to say I love this app and I do prefer it over The Weather Channel app. However, the last two updates have really got me frustrated. Every time I open this app, it will not load until it redirects you to a third-party ad or to the app store. Which requires me to click out of the App Store, clear that menu off and then go back into my weather app. Every. Single. Time. No I do not have adware, or spyware on my iPhone 5s. My finger has hovered over the delete option several times. The only thing holding me back is, your station is who I watch for weather and when there is a storm coming I prefer your radar. That's it. Please fix this issue. I will then change my rating.

No longer opens. Loved this app but after phone update it will no longer open on my iPhone 7. Will have to delete and go back to weather channel ;(

News 2 app review. Your app seems fine once it opens. It takes so long for it to open. I have 4 devices and it is like that on all of them. It would be nice if you could work on how fast it opens up.

Lake boy. Loved this weather App till last update on my iPad. Now it will not show past radar in motion and it just locks up. Future radar doesn't work either. Please fix soon.

Earthquake reporting -. Still the best weather app, hands down. However, with the earthquake layer the magnitude is incorrect according to most all published reports. Unless y'all know something everyone else don't -

New Glitch. I normally love this app and is usually an excellent weather source, but it now has a problem where the screen goes into video play mode (black screen with play button and X to close) when you tap on the mode at the bottom of the screen. I tried closing, uninstalling and reinstalling. I even turned my phone off and on again, but nothing changes so I’m posting this review. I hope it can be fixed. Until then I will probably stop using the app.

Weather app. I have an iPhone 6. Sometimes when I open the app I am redirected to the App Store. I have deleted and reinstalled the app with no success. This used to be my favorite weather app. I will probably be getting rid of it permanently now. At least I hope I am, after seeing the issue with some of the flashlight apps...

What’s Up ???. 6/8/18 This WAS ALWAYS the BEST weather app anywhere ... Friends all over the country have loved the app ... BUT .... For the past 24 hours it won’t open at all ... have tried at least 20 times since 10pm yesterday ... HELP !!!! Fix it Quick ... traveling and need to keep up to date on what is happening !! NOW 11/18/19 ... with the latest app update ... location dots are missing on all my locations on my list ..... PUT THEM BACK !!! When I look for weather (say Milton Florida) it brings up the Florida map .. but heck I have to get down to almost street level to find a small town that USE TO BE MARKED WITH THE DOT ...

Update Does Not Work. Used to be a great app, now radar does not work.

Really?. Thanks for taking a perfectly working app and wiping your butt with it. Tenga should let the stations stick with what works and not what some rich butthead wants to force down the consumers throats. I think I will just use the weather rock from now on because it will work better than this piece of crap.

13 years with an iPhone, this is my only review. This is by far the best weather app. Always accurate and I love that it has a “follow me” feature which provides me with the best forecast wherever I travel. I don’t review apps (positive or negative), but this one deserves the credit it is due.

iPhone app issues. Not sure what is going on with the app. My husband has an android phone and his app and mine have totally different information. Not sure what is going on if something to do with iPhone latest update. Todays current temperature reads as 25 it’s 90 something outside. iPhone app issues must have just started because I have been using everyday for weather for years.

Failed......Delete.. Keeps displaying a message that reads "please check your network connection". What a joke. All my other apps work fine. Maybe the message should read "epic failure". By the way.....if my network connection didn't work. Then how did I write this review.
