Loving it. Downloaded the lite version, which lets you test it up,to 10 lines, then updated to the full version. I like it! I'm a novice at community theatre but this app is really helping me learn a lot of lines. The tutorials, while spare, were enough to get me up and running. Very well done, fast, and very very helpful!

Only lets you record 10 lines. Why have this version If you can only record 10 lines! If you can’t learn 10 lines, you probably shouldn’t act. I don’t have a problem paying $3.99 but why have this version to tempt you? And then Time recording 10 lines it says you need to upgrade to continue.

Worthless. You can only enter ten lines. When you try to add another it asks if you want to upgrade.

Great app...ugly, primitive UI. Functionally, this is awesome. There isn’t another app (that I can find) like this. It’s not entirely intuitive but thumbs up to the developer for including concise instructions. Once explained, it was pretty easy to setup with only a little confusion. It would be helpful if I could Scrub through the lines. With time markers. I have a lot of monologues and need to rewind as I go along. I will have to just re-record my lines in installments to achieve this. The tortoise and hair thing is fairly useless for me. And there’s no way to tell what the normal speed is once you move it. And the app needs an ability to skip back and forth between lines. The Scene Headers need to respond to touch. It took me some time to figure out the Scene was engaged and ready for me to record. But because the app did nothing when I tapped it, I wasted time trying to figure out why it wasn’t working. Thought that maybe the app had frozen... The graphics, colors, font and layout are very unattractive. It’s cluttered. When I opt to see the scene index, the app can’t even display the full text. It would be nice to have a couple different avatars or at least the ability to choose different colors for each character. I’ve tapped the wrong character a few times when recording. Their names are so small in the font, it be even easier to identify them also by their own assigned color. Because of the extra steps caused by this app’s limitations, I have to take. I really could just use one of the more robust recording apps that offers file organization to achieve the same. The Character feature really is what sets the app apart the most from others, but at the end of the day that feature isn’t entirely essential. Not that I don’t appreciate it, because I do! But the really essentially parts of this app are what really need some extra attention and improvement. But, it is a good app. A good start, for sure!

Awesome app!. Great customer service! This app is awesome. I just record the entire script and then run my lines while I'm driving around the city. A must for any actor!

Glitchy but useful. The app is infuriating when I try to delete a line or a scene- it doesn’t register my swipe left to delete. I close the app, reopen, and nothing happens. I was able to delete once, in the past, but I don’t know what allowed me to do it. Just lucky I guess. There are a lot of helpful features that are hard to figure out at first, but can be really useful when you get it down.

I paid and it isn’t pro?. I paid for the Ap upgrade and it doesn’t let me access the pro. It’s still lite.

Paid, but didn’t get linelearner app. I paid the extra to get the full version, but it just allowed me to put more lines into the line learner lite app, so I have to pay again for the full app with characters etc? Update: I figured it out. The line learnerlitw app appears to run with the full functionality now that I found out how to get to it, but deleting lines is nearly impossible. I found myself just recording the fastest blip of silence I could instead of trying to delete.

Essential!. I have used this (well, the full version, which I added as an in-app purchase) for four shows and I really don’t know what I’d do without it! I recommend just buying the full version, even if you try this version first, rather than just upgrading. Frankly, the interface is a little clunky but the functionality is perfect, and adjust as you move from just listening, to learning, to practicing, including speeding things up so you’re really on your game.

Lines!?!?!. I didn't like this one bit. I have many lines for the play I needed to do and it only let me record time with this app is useless you want to pay about four dollars for it which in my opinion is way too much to pay for it not to help you learn lines. You could just go online and look it up. Or record yourself on a recorder most phones have. This app with useless and a waste of my time. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.

Great app to get started with. I think the main thing this app does is give you convenience. Obviously you can record you self with the app voice recorder but this just makes it easier. I think 4 bucks ain't bad for an app that helps make things easier.

Pretty good, with some mechanical grievances. A great idea and a step serious beyond using voice memos. The free version isn't of much use with any lengthy scene to work on. The ability to play the other persons lines while muting your own is a great tool. But the mechanics are rather frustrating at times. A few times I've recorded over takes or added extra line by mistake, due to larger the structure and lay out and fixing such changes can sometimes be tough. An added difficulty when scenes are long. I'd hope an update might address some of these issues. Worth a try.

Love this app!. This fabulous easy to use app was suggested to me by a friend. I’ve been using the paid version ( the Lite version is too limited to be of much use) for four years now. It’s so helpful and easy to use. and I can adapt it as I get more familiar with the lines. It gets better all the time. Highly recommended.

Terrible!. This is so bad! There are barely any lines in the free version and the paid version is way too expensive. I will most definitely not be buying from here again!!!! Ever!!! Other apps do it better.
