Construction math. Master has really helped me very much. I’ve been a Carpenter my whole life and at 73 I’m still using Construction Master

Add a back up button. Replace the clear button with a back button, when you hit the wrong number you want to back up not clear all the numbers

Owner operator. I owned three of the handheld calculators, one for office, one for truck and one for lunchbox now that I have this calculator on my phone in the easy use of all the features is amazing and I have now given away my other three calculators to my Formen in the field. this app is well worth the money and it’s probably one of the best if not the best app on my phone.

Bait and switch!. I actually have one of the hand-held calculators however it’s always in my work vehicle so I thought wow this would be great to have at home. I downloaded the app because it said it was free. The moment I did that it then said this was a seven day trial and your Apple account would be charged at the end of the seven days. Big problem though, it doesn’t tell you how much it’s going to be. this should have been up front on the details page and it’s not that I could see. If it was it wasn’t obvious. Can you spell SCAM!

Bring back the old graphics. Somehow they made the newer graphics look worse. Bring back the original graphics that looked more like my actual CM5. Wish I hadn’t upgraded the app.

YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY LIVE THIS. I have used hand held model since the 1980s. I have repurchased 3 times. The new help screens are a big bonus. I promise that you will not be sorry. Keep up the great work. Gobobo IN.

Old Calc just got better. I have carried a CM5 around in my tool bags for years (decade or 2) Having it on my phone means no more trips to the job site to grab my Calc to to bids at the office. Time saver for sure and worth every penny!!

You must think we’re idiots. Why would I pay $36 per year when I can buy the actual calculator for fifty dollars and the last one I bought lasted me over ten years as a matter of fact it was working the last time I saw it, it was stolen from my toolbox during a job I was working on point being is you could make the price ten dollars and I’m certain you would make plenty of money from your sales don’t be greedy it’s a great calculator lower the price for the lower class working man and you would most likely prosper in more ways than you can imagine. Wish I could get a refund.. I was charged $66 instead of the $4 monthly. There goes the food for my family. No way of getting a refund unfortunately

Perfect. I’ve been using this app for years. I still have a ConstructionMaster on my desk, but buttons don’t work like they used to. Best personal iPhone purchase I’ve ever made, no more $60 calculator replacements.

Love this app. Works break in construction in so many ways. Makes building stairs or estimates simple with built in functionality. Only wish is it was also on my iWatch.

Calculate Cut Roofs. A must for cutting rafters. Probably bought 10 actual calculators in my career. Luckily this transfers from phone to phone.

Joe C. A very good calculator that converts SAE to Metric numbers in my workshop. It allows me to calculate financial information up to and including numbers in the Zillions. It is a great tool when working with interest rates whether they apply to Real Estate, Banking, Retirement and the overall economy. I chose this calculator while surfing the web and downloaded it on the Apple App Store to my iPhone.

Contractor. Talk about the most bang for your buck. I have been using since came on market . Don’t even remember when that was many years ago. I have tried other construction calculators for my crews and nothing works like this one. Now with the phone app I don’t need to have a hand held in every truck. By far the best construction calculator on the market.

Good so far. I have given a 4 star rating simply based on the amount of time and calculations used. The app itself is very simple to use. I also appreciate the help section. Not only is it informative, but also easy to understand. This will be a 5 star purchase for anyone in the carpentry trade.

Great App!!!. I’ve been using Construction Master products since the mid 90’s! Especially CM5, the app doesn’t disappoint, works just like the actual calculator… get it!

Subscription to a calculator? Unacceptable. I was in need of a construction calculator at the house and I left mine at the shop. I thought I would try the app version. When I open the add I was prompted to subscribe to be able to use the calculator. Are you kidding me? I could understand free with ads or a one time fee to remove ads. I am borderline furious. Who would have thought a calculator of all things would go the way of the subscription model. This is unacceptable.

CM 5 switched to a subscription based app and cancelled my lifetime purchase. Very disappointed, app is great and I’ve used it for years but when I redownloaded it, it tries to make me purchase a subscription. Gave 2 stars only because it is a good app

Doesn’t do arc/circ. This used to be a good construction calculator but won’t do arc/circ. I put in the measurements to figure an arc and it comes back with zero. A coworker has a different calculator and his gives all kinds of information doing the same actions. Waste of money if the calculator can’t do what it’s designed for.

Deal breaker. I have owned the physical calculator for years but thought I’d like to purchase it for access on my phone as well. Imagine the dismay to discover this app is now subscription based. Talk about ripping off your customer base. You’ve lost a potential customer (and many more no doubt) with that greed based business decision. As a previous reviewer stated the cost for this calculator would be $250 over 5 years….ouch.

Don’t recognize my original purchase of app. My old phone got wet screen went all black so had to get a new phone and now app says it doesn’t recognize purchase or whatever and now wants me to repurchase but now with a subscription what is that about why would you guys have a subscription for this calculator that would make this calculator super expensive I have a handheld one that I bought before i purchased this app few years ago but that is just a another thing I would have to carry around I’m a welder and having it on the phone was perfect but this subscription is just crazy it’s just a calculator why would would you guys think this is ok to do

Master 5 calculator. I’ve been using this calculator on my phone for the last 10 years. It’s very accurate and helps me in my every day task as a welder fabricator. I would recommend and I do recommend every welder fabricator should put this app on their phone. It does everything someone in construction needs get one you won’t be sorry.

Best calculator in the world. This is by far the best calculator I could get for the money I mean think about it every time my phone breaks. I already bought the app so I have it all the other calculators that you buy at the store you have to pay every time it breaks. I am the inventor of the v-line clamp and I recommend it for all Framer’s framers

Better than my real construction master. Just like my real construction master that I’ve had for decades, but the buttons aren’t worn off and hand written and then sprayed with clear coat!

Love it!. I’ve had two of these ever since they came out with the handheld, anyway once I seen you could download it to your cell phone it was the greatest thing for a contractor app wise that I’ve seen in a long time. Highly recommend it. I will give it a 10 out of 10 the handhelds have never failed me and so far neither has the digital app.

Seriously?. Can’t even try it before you buy into an expensive yearly payment for a digital calculator? Seriously? You have pay for a subscription first with the option to hopefully cancel it just to actually see what you’re getting. If it was so good, let us try it without giving you our credit card info.

When did this switch to subscription??. I've used physical version of this calculator and now the digital version for years. I purchased the app many years ago for a very reasonable price, but now see they want $35 a year to use it? You can litterally buy the physical version of this calcualtore for $40. The app price shoudl match the actaul cost of the calculator. This calculator is fantastic and is indispensable if you are a carpenter, but $35 a year. for a $40 calculator is a mis-match.

Subscription now?. I purchased this years ago and have loved it. Just opened it today and now it is saying that I have to signup for a subscription? I already paid for it. When I hit the “Restore Purchases” button, it gives me an error telling me that I’m not connected to the internet. I am connected so I’m not sure what that’s about. This wasn’t cheep to purchase and I am not a fan of having to pay again for something that I already paid for.

Monthly payments! Why?. Seems like a great app, I get that there’s maintenance on the apps but why not just make it a one time payment? If this was a $40 one time payment I would get it in a heartbeat. A little frustrating that everything needs to be a monthly payment now. I get it but man why can’t it just be a 1 time thing stop with the bright colors and exclamation points on trials to get you to disregard the automatic renewal. Shame.

Great Application. Great calculator app. This app is exactly the same as the construction master calculator I used to carry around in my tool bags. Works great.

Accurate!. If you want accurate results this is the ultimate tool.

Great app overpriced tho. The app works well and is super convenient but the subscription seems a little ridiculous. Your paying the price of a new calculator every year and your only getting software not even hardware also I wouldn’t get a new physical calculator every year it would last a lot longer than that

Its just like calculator. I’ve used the construction calculator 5 for over 30 years it’s super convenient having it on my phone and in a lot of ways better got 1 the screen doesn’t get all jacked up. And at $34 dollars a year ya really can’t beat it

Appreciate the App. Having the app on my phone allows me to have the construction master at my fingertips without having to carry more objects . So it simplifies my needs for a calculator.

Best Construction Calculator. This app is the best calculator for my construction business. I use it daily on every one of my job sites.

Try before you buy.. It would have been nice to try the app before I purchased, here, it seems that you have to buy it first, try it for 7 days and then hopefully you can cancel it if you don’t like or want to try a different app. I ended up buying a real construction calculator from Lowe’s. Thanks for the motivation here..

FRAUDULENT FEES. Apple will go over your head directly to your credit card company to get payment on an auto renewal without your approval. I had zero interest in resubscribing for this app after finding it useless for my particular job. No fault to the app. My card had expired and I was glad to leave it that way. However, rather than communicate with me, Apple was somehow able to get my credit card company to provide the updated card info without contacting me. This is fraud and I’m sick of it!!!! Dumping Apple and my credit card company after this theft. What a joke! If you want me to renew, ask!

Calculated industries. Great app just like the real thing. App is worth the money. Once you use the app and understand how to apply it basic carpentry roof calculations stairs areas concrete rake walls all become second nature.

Great calculator. I have been using the construction master since version 2 when it was hand held. I don't know what I would do without it.

Try before you buy. It would be nice if you could try it before you buy it and not worry about having to pay or cancel the subscription.. That’s how they get your money.

Like it But. Love it But it should be only a one time fee like the one you buy from Lowe’s or Home Depot

Awesome calculator. Very convenient for job site use without carrying a physical calculator. Only thing that would make this app better would be an option for use with an Apple Watch.

Quality app.. I bought this app a year ago. I use it everyday. I used to have to carry a calculator around with me but now I just use my phone.

Best app I ever bought. Have the hand calculator for years, then when they made a app it’s been on my phone ever since- use it just about everyday at work

Good app, but could use another feature. Being in construction this app is handy but it really needs the "EZ" feature of the other calculator they make. Maybe with the deletion of the "on" and "off" button they could add this feature to complete this calculator. But all gripes aside this thing works great and makes a great spare to the real thing.

Concrete work. I use this app everyday to figure concrete out for footings,walls,floors,driveways,etc. Much better than a slide rule.

App not working!! Use for work so very annoyed. App brings up a screen asking for subscription plans or to start a free trial. I already have bought and paid for the app, used for years. Love the app. When I click on “restore purchase”, gives me an error that I am not connected to the internet, which I am definitely connected to. Please help! Can’t find a solution. I have closed and reopened app. Restarted my IPhone Deleted and reloaded app. Nothing works yet. Still same problem. Solved. Iphone update changes some cell data options, one of which turned off the app data for the calculator. Have to turn individual data on for app to recognize it has a subscription and work properly. Turned its cell data back on and back to work I go!

What I was looking for in 2009.... Finally, it's on my iPad... On the next update, it needs rotate in Landscape view because not everybody uses their iPad in Portrait, I bought a case that is designed to hold my iPad in Landscape. I don't feel like taking the case off everyday at work to use this app, that will become a total drag. There should be another version strictly for the iPad to take advantage of the bigger screen, because pressing 2x takes away the sharpness and clearity, appears out of focus. If you could please correct this soon, don't make us purchase this twice ! you guys are charging too much for this app, this app should have been priced around $7.99 because the "off" and "On/C" keys are missing ! If those two keys were there, then it's worth at least $9.99, it's over priced, really !!! Thanks...

Be careful, amounts wrong.. If you are a professional be careful, it will not give you the proper amount of concrete bags. I don't think that this thing realizes that there is .0222 yards in 1 80 lb. bag. Example: 5x5 at 4" deep is 13.9 bags, this calculator insists that it is 12.5 bags. I am glad I am not using this in the field. I would be really screwed and you don't want to be short. All of the Construction Master series has the same problem. I have them all and they are all wrong.

Why a subscription?. It’s a good app but I’d prefer buying the app instead of having a monthly or yearly subscription to throw in with every other subscription.

I've had mine for 5 minutes!. So far, so good. I really have liked my stand-alone Construction Master 5 for quite some time. What a great idea to make this for the iPhone / iPod touch! In-putting dimensions is much more logical than some of the foot-inch calculators out there. Buy this App - you won't be dissapointed.

Please add delete/backspace button. I have the original construction master calculator and it has a delete/backspace button but this app doesn't, so if you make a mistake you have to start completely over. Please add one...... Thanks. Other than that app works great. I use it on a daily basis.

iPhone App done RIGHT. I have been using Calculated Industries products for many years and find this app to be great addition. I can see myself with few apps as they bring more industry specific calculators on board.

Excellent Calculator. I've worked in the construction industry for over 20 years. I've used a Calculated Industries calculator of one kind or another for most of that time and still do. This is "THE" construction calculator. Compared to what these used to cost in the store the current discounted price is a steal. You will not be disappointed.
