Good app. I have the book but the app is really good. I trust this information

Excellent survival tool. I am a wilderness survival maniac and I make my own kits. I would suggest having this app in your kit because its clear and has equipment that can double for anything. My only grudge is that it needs more info and be displayed more like a manual than a web page.

Crashes often. They charge you for the app often after you bought all versions and crashes often. Buy the book, this app is useless.

Absolutely necessary. Provides the most enhanced techniques to survival. It also has a neat style. It doesn't get better than this.

sas survival guide. I like this guide because I learned a lot from it you should get it.

Useless. Don’t bother with this “free” version. It has one section, Essentials. Every topic you click on whether it’s direction finding or finding water just say the following “ Begin by preparing yourself to be a survivor. That means preparation in every sense. This section is concerned with making sure that you have the right equipment for any expedition you undertake. It introduces the idea of carrying a pocket-sized kit of carefully selected key survival aids – which should go with you everywhere. A knife is your most important survival tool. It must be chosen and used carefully and it must be kept in perfect condition. Equally important is a personal preparedness, so that you are both physically and psychologically equipped to deal with the stresses and hazards of survival conditions. You must have a clear understanding of survival needs, especially of the need for – and ways of obtaining – water.” Whoever made this app needs a punch in the face.

Wish there was more, but overall helpful.. Wasn't as bad as I thought it might be compared to other "LITE" apps. I liked the quiz option to test my knowledge, and the pictures are a nice quick reference. Wish there was more content in it, but everything you need to know about basic survival is there.

Disappointed. Paid for this app originally...then after an update it said "LITE" and I would have to spend more money for the full version. Not happy. Have other survival apps I like better.

Not always correct. I noticed one answer in it was incorrect. It said the first step in hunting is "bleeding" but unless I miss understood that is wrong. After shooting the animal you gut it! Or else the meat could go bad! But either then that it's a ok app. Not a whole lot of information. But good if you need to learn the basics.

Only info you need very little fluff. I've read about half of the information in this app and its one of the most concise and useful survival guides I've read. If you want to know all the need to know info before going backcountry camping or into a risky situation download this app.

Great app!. Perfect for small or large group studies when you forgot your book.

Can’t scroll the wilderness book. The wilderness book can’t scroll so I only see the first few paragraphs. The urban book can scroll so I don’t know what the problem is. I tapped update and no joy.

Would be a great app if you could actually USE IT!!!. The SAS survival guide - lite edition includes large portions of the book- true, but when trying to access ANY category information there is no way to read further than the first 2 paragraphs TLDR: App doesn’t work because the scroll function is completely missing, pls fix.

Not too bad. It's free!!. I like this app so far, but I have to say the quiz section is absolutely stupid..... Why not quiz on things that matter and will maybe save a life. Not a true or false question on If someone with curly hair,, their hair tightens up when bad weather is approaching??? Come on that stupid.

SAS Survival. I have two hard copy versions of the book and love this mobile version. these skills are great to learn and maintain!

Cool app. This is a awesome app. It provides lots of survival info. Very user friendly. It will tell you stuff from getting water to building a shelter. This is the best survival app out there. This is a awesome app which I recommend to any one looking for a survival app.

SASSurvivalLite. I think it is a great way for beginners to learn how to prepare for any kind of event. I think it is cool how you can take a survival quiz to see how smart you are at prepping.I personally think the full version is better.

Great for hiking pre trip. This app hasn't made me rate it every time I used it. It's good for pre trip gear check and has some other useful info along the way.

Want the hardcover !. Gonna buy paper version so can write notes and highlight everything!!!

Survival 101. All that's left is to go out and work on your own skills and techniques. Good stuff.

Incomplete & Over Specific. Some great general info, but too much info that gets in the way of the basic tenants of basic survival. Interesting but Often not useful in a survival situation.

Awesome!!!. Excellent resource tool for beginners. I would recommend buying the full app though. There are a lot more features.

Very buggy. The audiobook doesn’t play. I downloaded it and whenever I hit a picture/topic it says there aren’t any tracks. Ironically, the rating feature within the app is broken. When you hit the text box to type your review, the keyboard covers the submit button.

Too lite. Way to little info even for a lite version the old book was better than the app anyway

Videos don’t play and get stuck. Can play videos. Neither stream nor download-to-play works. Also, once clicking a video, I can’t navigate back to the book. There’s no “go back” button. Please fix. I’m on an iPhone 11 if that helps.

Buy it. This app is great. I will be picking up the full version or going straight for the paper copy.

Really?. This feels like I am reading fun facts instead bits of useful information. “Important tool to have in the wild is a knife.” That’s common knowledge.

Ok. This app is ok but I got it several years ago then purchased the paid version. Long story short. I now have a new iPhone and noticed there was another sas “book” on the app when I went to purchase it I noticed my previous purchase was gone. No big deal I restored purchases..........no purchase found. It was only like 4.99 and I remember most of the content but it’s more the principal. I’m not going to purchase the other one or any other sas app ever. Whether it was a mistake or they are intentionally ripping ppl off idk but it is terrible and I hate it because some of the app was useful. It could be improved so much by making a few minor changes adding a few details and features and removing so if the useless stuff but seems they forget about you after they get your money.

SAS Lite. Lite is great and is concise. If you need more buck up and buy the full version or buy the book.

Lite is heavy. I just barely got it and it's pestering me to write a review. It seems to work well, I have not read very far yet, seems to be packed with information. Occasionally there is a word that I do not know the definition of. It would be nice if there was more than one video. multiple ways to start fires would be nice not just one. It appears to recommend a knife as the number one survival tool, but in my opinion a folding saw would be much more useful. And like I said I have not read very far yet.

Great content!!!👍👌. Great content!!!! Very detailed! Definitely getting the full version! I’m 13 and I really like wilderness survival type books, gear, and that sort of thing. An this is the best app if found so far!!!👍👍 I’m looking forward to trying some of it out!

🅾♍️G. For a free app it is amassing! I got the book first and I was able to compare some of the fechers. It also has some videos of knife safety. Which the book does not have. I think that you should get the app but also get the book. The book has more tips on surviving. So I think you should get both.

Great little app!. Me and some friends went out into the bush and I brought me ipod with so we used some of this info to prepare ourselves! Definitely buy the full if you like this.

Rip off. I’ve paid to have access to the full version of this app and while I did have access for a time I have 0 access now with the latest update. I have emailed and left comment via the app with no response. What was once a good app has now become a waste of money.

Great app for giving reference to the fundamentals of survival.. Great app to reference the fundamentals to basic survival.

Constant crashing. Seems the coding is badly written. Constant crashing when watching videos on iPhone 5. No iPhone 5 screen support

'Lite' but heavy (sorry...). I have the book and this app is as good if not better, it has pictures videos (with the full version) makes it easier to understand what the former SAS guy is talking about, well worth the buy!

Learn true skills! The skill to survive!. I bought this book years ago. It's essential to know how to survive catastrophic events and when lost or stranded. This app is very useful and has practical knowledge that can prove lifesaving one day and give confidence to city slickers and weekend warriors.

Fun and helpful. This app really makes one feel as if they can tackle anything that lif throws at them. Our friend love takeing the quizes. I would say that we are hoping to see lots more of the quizes! They are so fun to take and you learn so much while still having a fun time. The multiple choices are the best the selection to choose from will possibly bring tears to your eye!

Why is not working on my iPhone X. I downloaded for free whit the iPhone 7 and then I bought the urban book and the SAS, now I have the iPhone xR and it doesn't work

Good. This app is great. I haven't found anything wrong with the app. I have an IPad My only request is that there is a version made for the iPad because the quality of the writhing and the videos is a bit off for the size of the device. The words can be a bit bleary. But again that's because of the enlargement of size when it's not mention todo so. Besides the quality of the app. the contents of it is very useful and better than all the other apps like it. It is well worth the price for the amount of extra's that come with the app.

A Great Just In Case. For the beginner or pro alike this app is great to have "just in case". When most others around me are playing games I flip through different parts when I'm waiting or have time to kill. That way I can get some useful knowledge that I could use.

Lofty ideas. I've owned a paper copy since I was a kid. The e-version is awesome. The videos and colour pics are well worth it, there is a wealth of useful information here.

Um, just one thing. Perhaps Apple could develop a component on the ipod and ipad which would allow them to charge via solar energy. I could just imagine being trapped in the middle of somewhere trying desperately to access lifesaving information only to discover that the battery charge is kaput.
