Love it, but beware the glitch. I love the mechanics of this app, it's perfect for drawing the rough cell animation for my projects. While the overall experience could be made smoother, I prefer using this app over most apps/programs I've come across. There is, however, one glaring problem that I've run into twice now. I don't know what causes it, though it could possibly be the use of the higher quality formats, but sometimes the app glitches and won't export any of my projects. The only way to fix this is to delete the app, which also means deleting the original project files, and start over. This problem has lead me to search for a new way to animate the projects that I can't afford to loose progress on.

Amazing Animation Software!. The App is amazing in my opinion. You can have infinite frames and animating is simple, but complex enough to make amazing works. However I don't have the patience for the advancement XD Since I have only ever animated on Flipnote Studio, the increase in pixels on screen is a difficult change. The only complaint I have about it, is the way sound is implemented. If you are recording something, foot steps for example, it's fine. But anything that requires something like lip sinking, or anything in general that just requires the audio to line up with the animation for long periods of time, doesn't work. And it's because you can only set the sound, music and/or talking audio to a single frame, and it will only play if you start before or on that frame. If you go to any frame after it, and play the animation, there will be no sound. I would love an option to where we can set one sound/song to the entire animation, so you can play it from anywhere, and be able to hear the sound/song from where that frame is at. Simplest way I can put it, please use the audio setting that Flipnote Studio has. It would make the auto animation much easier to animate.

decent, but poor drawing. I got this so i could practice my animation, it has good animation mechanics but bad drawing mechanics. You can add, remove, duplicate and move around frames. You can make HD animations and change the fps while watching your work. But drawing is a pain to the behind. I use a stylus, so maybe it might just be that but when i put the tip of the pen on the screen the screen slightly moves down and the line is drawn beneath the tip of the pen, tripping me out. Also, when you draw the line only appears when you draw something thats not tiny, making it completely impossible to put small detail or something small in the background. Im giving this a 3 star because in an animation app you need to be able to frame well and draw well, this only did one.

It’s not that great. This app doesn’t work for me always, sometimes it will just stop and personally I find it very annoying to wait 3-5 minutes just for the app to work again. Also I noticed that there aren’t a lot of brush types, another thing I find annoying, because I would rather have the brush do the texture than me just doing it myself. Last this app doesn’t let u move the screen around and, again, personally it’s easier when u can move the canvas around instead of me moving my iPad just to get the right angle. This is why I think this app is not so great. (Also I would like it could have a lot of the same things Procreate uses. Also another thing I forgot to mention it has a hard learning curb for me, I had to search up on how to use this app, and I still have problems with it. Also the last thing I forgot to mention is that the app speaks clearly a little hard to make, but they could have still added some things to make this app better than it is right now.

Need a way to import audio.. So, I started using this app recently and it’s been pretty good so far, only minor annoyances, except for one thing. There seems to be no way to import sound or audio from other apps or files. Meaning that if I want to animate to a song like I was planning to do, I’d have to play it and record it in the app. The problem with this is, the sound quality when you record a song isn’t great, and it’s much quieter than it should be. So I would really like it if there was a way to import songs rather than recording them, and if there already is and I just haven’t found it, please tell me. Thanks!

Not the Best Animation App. First off, the pencil/brush tools are the worse. I would except there to be more options for this app. The other features are decent at least. Another problem is that I cannot stay on the program for more than 8 minutes, or it freezes/ glitches out. I would delete this, but I’ve been trying to be patient with the program and started some projects already. I do appreciate the layer feature. Finally I was scrolling reading through other review, and saw that another big problem with this program is that when you zoom in or out it leaves dots. Another annoying problem I have to deal with. I hope there would be something to fix this soon.

Good, but small problems. Do not get me wrong, this is a very good app. However, I have 3 small problems: 1. You can only have 5 layers. This is the most minor problem, so this one can be ignored 2. For the sound clips, it can only go up to 5 minutes. I can only use animation apps since I don't have a computer, so I want to make animations that are longer. Again, this is more of a minor complaint, so don't worry to much (but I would like to know how many sound clips you can have or if it's unlimited) 3. This is the MAJOR complaint I have: When I'm making an animation that has sound and I put the sound on a frame (usually the first one). When I play the video to see if the words or sounds match with the animation, I have to watch THE ENTIRE THING! I want to see how the video looks without having to watch the whole thing over and over again. Who knows: There could be a trick I haven't learned yet, but if that's not the case, can you PLEASE fix that? Overall though, this is a very good app

Almost perfect. I love this app to bits and pieces. Although I’m about to list my problems, I still love this app and use it quite often. It’s very simple to use. All of the buttons are super obvious and have very simple ways of working. Learning all of the tricks this app has was very easy. However, this app has difficulties that can be very frustrating. 1) One time I decided to animate something with 30 fps. At first all was going well but in the playback, after working in 30fps for the first 3 times, it suddenly stopped. To this day, whenever I try to look at that animation, it will only ever play back at 24 fps and there is literally nothing that I can do about it. Please fix this and save the multiple animations that I have lost to this bug. 2) This one is a bit more minor and I don’t mind it too much. Whenever I zoom in or out, the app registers it as a brush stroke and adds a small dot or line. All it takes is an undo, but it’s very obnoxious and takes more time than it should. 3) Is it possible to add more layers? The current limitation of 5 does the trick, but only barely. It gets hard to do more complex animations with only 5 layers. Is it possible to have more? Eight to ten even. Again, this one is quite minor and I’ve found ways to get around it but it would be nice to have more.

Perfectly Imperfect. I've always loved how easy and fun it is to use this app, and it's been a great substitute for costly computer programs. I like how compatible it is with the Apple Pencil, although frequently the app has had trouble with it. Every five minutes or so, it would stop giving feedback from the pencil (or my finger, for that matter), so I would have to exit out of the app and try again. Fortunately, this app is amazing when it comes to auto saving, so you don't have to panic if the app crashes. Now I want to talk about Cineverse. I think this idea is really cool, how it's more of an inspiration hub rather than social media. Lately though, I've been having problems uploading to Cineverse. Whenever I attempt to upload, it says that my work has been uploaded, but when I check "My Uploads", it displays either a black screen or nothing at all. I have an iPad Pro, so I don't think it has to do with my device being outdated. I have animations I want to share, so I'd really like this fixed! Overall a great app. It's easy to use, fun, add free, and very useful. Looking forward to the next update!

I LOVE IT! But... a few problems.. It’s an AMAZING App. I really like it. It’s good for creative artists who want to make animations or even draw pictures just to save them. But, there’s a couple problems. This problem almost happens with every drawing app ‘Dots’. Yes. Every line or anything you draw is just a bunch of dots. Unlike premium drawing apps, they seem more like ‘lines’. So that’s really the only bad about it! It’s an amazing and creative app. If your looking for something with just fine quality and not exact penmanship this is the perfect app for you! And if your looking for something more... premium, I recommend games like ibisPaint. But it’s just a drawing app not animating. So that’s why I think Animation Creator is perfect for all ages and everybody!

Crash and Burn. Now I must say, this is a very good app. I have an iPad Pro, and I wanted to create an animation. So, I spent my two dollars on this. It is incredibly handy, but it's not the best. First off, it crashes a lot. Typical. Every once in a while, I'm drawing with the pencil (or my finger if the pencil runs out of battery) the app doesn't respond. I try to keep drawing and see if it will at some point respond. That is before I press the undo button. But now, part of my drawing is erased in a very weird way. I keep drawing, and it erases it even more. Weird. After those lags, without having to exit, it snaps back to normal. And that's not all. As I draw my animations, it decides to kick you off the app and onto the home screen. This doesn't affect my animation, because it autosaves(one of the only things this app has that's good). It is still annoying though. So, the pixels are meh, it crashes a lot, and the worst part is, this is the best animation software they have on the Apple Store. It's good for beginners, but it is sometimes a burden when you want to make an attempt at some more difficult animations. Being the best orange in the grocery store doesn't mean you can't be rotten. EXTRA!! If this app asks me one more time to rate it, I am going to give this review one star.

What Really Frustrates me.... I had a little problem with the app today. I perched the app today and I was a little disappointed because for some reason it keeps glitching on me when I moving my animation to place to place... Example when I went back to my hard work I saw how my animation was moved down of the frame and I tried moving it back where it was but whenever I did, it only took half of my work and when I moved it back up, it went back to it’s original spot when I first logged in...i f you, please fit this. Worth it, but not really.. I downloaded this app in hopes that it would be spectacular and that I could create any animation I wanted to. I soon found out though, that the tools in this app are very limited. Everything has a very synthetic and pixel-like texture to it, and smooth lines are hard to create as pressure sensitivity seems non-existent. It’s very hard to use the tools you are given, and the app is very confusing; I often find myself not knowing what to do despite me having used the app for over a year now. There is a lack of brushes that add texture, so it is almost impossible to get something to look nice, not to mention that animating in this app takes forever. I know animation is difficult and takes lots of patience and time, but in every other program I have used, animation is much quicker because I don’t have to correct mistakes that the program makes with my drawings. Overall, it’s worth looking into if you’re just starting out, but no where near anything professional.

New update, new problems. They took away the preview menu which would let me look at my animations in a smaller format, if you dare go above 500x500 they will STILL warn you about the high frame rate problems and SUGGEST you go to the preview menu to see the animation you created in all its glory.... but with what preview menu? The help menu is still a mess since it’s first debut. And they moved the undo and redo buttons to the TOP RIGHT CORNER, what on earth? It was hard enough tapping the undo button every time you moved the screen cause it would leave a dot on your canvas (very annoying) But now I have to stop drawing and move my hand to the top right corner which is slowing the process even further. Either than that same issues as before, moving the canvas will leave a dot on the canvas as previously mentioned. If you coloured with too many colours the canvas will glitch and create pixels in certain areas if touched too much. If you touch the resize tool in any area during the resizing process it will erase a large section of the drawing. BUT ONE THING THEY ACTUALLY FIXED AFTER 3 UPDATES (thank lord) Is now finally you can distribute your animations to yt and twitter and even make it into a gif to copy and paste without ANY OF IT CRASHING!! With procreate having their own little animation creation project I’m afraid the top king has finally lost their crown after all these years being the best of app standards.

Great for Newbies to Animation!. I personally love this animation app. I originally got it to play around with animation and experiment. I'm more of a physical myself, so I decided it would be fun to make my drawings come to life and really test my limits. When I first got this app, I had a rough start, but I later found that the controls are very easy to get the hang of. I use it for my own projects and quickly sketching out characters, as well as school projects (I'm in high school.) I definitely recommend you use a tablet or bigger surface rather than a phone, as you have a larger surface to draw on. It's not as great as animation software you'll find on a computer, but, nonetheless, this app was definitely worth the couple dollars! Love y'all, and happy animating! Jenna Kujawski >:3

Pretty Good with a couple Issues. Pretty easy to use but my primary complaints are 1) Every time I try to export even a simple clip to my photo album - it crashes without exporting. This is on a 1st gen iPad Pro with iOS 12. So I have to resort to emailing it to myself. Really needs AirDrop or saving to cloud drive 2) if you move something after it has been created in more than a couple of frames - it’s impossible to lineup. Needs to be some way to pick any frame as the single transparent “underlay” frame regardless of what frame you are drawing on. 3) While not huge, not being able to have the tools and brushes size directly on the screen makes it slow to work with. All the tools need to be in an icon side bar menu instead of the the current drop down. 4) not being able to rotate the workspace while drawing - super annoying for anyone who freehand draws on a tablet. All drawing apps have to let you virtually rotate the page.

Nice. I’m a senior animation student and currently the animation director and key animator for a class project. This app works well and does the job. I like how easy it is to use, even for beginners who’ve never seen such a program. This is the best animation app in the App Store, in my opinion. The only small glitches I can point out are the occasional dots that appear when you zoom in and out, and that managing frames from the frames screen isn’t as intuitive as it could be. Otherwise, I recommend this app to animators both new and experienced, especially if you own an iPad Pro. For some reason, the other animation apps don’t work so well on it. This app is consistent because it works well on both the standard iPads and the iPad Pro, while most other animation apps don’t.

Ehhhhh. Whoo! Animating with this app is a LOT of work! Here are some Pros and Cons of the app! Cons: Ughhh! I wish I could tilt the canvas! This would be super helpful so I didn’t have to tilt my device! Whenever you move around the canvas sometimes, you get a random brush/eraser mark. It’s just a very annoying dot. Same thing for last one but it’s a line. And the undo button won’t make it go away. This is especially annoying when I have A LOT of line art and one of these un-undoable lines pop up! I wish that the select tool had an option where you could not make a box select area! This would be very useful so if your picture (or part of picture) that your trying to select has extra details nearby, you can only select that certain part. Two more things..... Timeline and audio Timeline: I REALLY wish there was one of these so I could easily add and view audio/frames. I know there is already kind of one but it could upgrade! I wish that you could go to iTunes music and pick songs from there! It would make it easier to add audio and make the audio sound WAYYYY better! Pros: not much but great brushes and quality!

Good but in a relative way.... When compared to other ios animation apps, this app always comes out victorious. But when compared to pc programs, you might as well compare a stick figure animator to toon boom harmony. If the developer sees this, I recommend that he adds objects, object selection, virtual cameras, and tweening. With some of these features I described, this app could stand up to pc programs quite well. If you read this review, I recommend you only get this app if you really want an ios animator. If you are just generally looking for an animation program, then go find a high power pc animator. Unless this app is updated, I will stand to my word.

Simple.. just a shade too simple. I know you can't expect a full featured animation program on a tablet, but the missing ability to scale images is a crippling omission. You can change their size horizontally and vertically, but you can't force it into uniform scale as it changes size (such as in Photoshop, you would just hold down shift while modifying the dimensions). So much animation relies on being able to bring objects from the back to the fore or vice versa. A scaling mode, or some modifier ability to the existing dimensions changer that keeps the image in scale (or if it has this ability and I'm missing it, make it clearer), would bring this program up to the next level for me.

WHATS HAPPENING?. So, I love this app. I use it all the time my Apple Pencil works, its all good. But when I went on it today I went into the ciniverse or whatever, there where no animations... and there where no bars to click like editors pick (and stuff like that) Before this I couldn't upload things which made me disappointed, I really hope you can keep this app going... and another disappointment to me is that I paid money for this because I liked it, and to see it might taken down makes me frustrated and sad, and its like the only animation app that I like....

Reviews from an animation class. I like this app a lot and have used it for years as part of a line drawn animation lesson in an animation summer course for elementary and middle school students. I thought it may be useful to share their comments. The number one item on the "wish list" was the ability to select a frame to edit, not just duplicate or delete, in frame mode. Other wish list items were a blur tool, a selection tool to edit portions of a drawing, and the ability to convert a layer into a background. Thank you!

Riddled with bugs and lacks key features to really be great. I purchased this program with the hopes of making animations from drawings imported from another app and was mostly impressed with the workflow and ease of use once figuring out how to use Animation Creator HD. However, I was saddened to see that there was no pen pressure response with my Apple Pencil when drawing with the program and also found out that every time I tried to export a finished project, the program would crash. I can sort of live without the Pencil operating as it is meant to operate, but I cannot ignore not being able to export finished projects. Also, lacking an export to GIF format just makes this particular purchase even more useless. 2 stars and nothing more since the program has great potential, but feels unfinished.

Pretty good, has a few problems. It’s probably one of the best animation apps I’ve used so far! Great tools and options to edit and creat nice animations. There are some problems that seem to cause some problems, some big and some small. 1.) Not able to export any animations to photo library. The app crashes when I try this. I have tried clearing up space and trying different ways to make it work, it doesn’t seem to work. 2.) Sometimes when needing to erase something, it’s a habit for me to press the next frame button, instead of the eraser. This is fine, but if you can still go back and press the back button to erase it, it would make the process less time consuming. 3.) maybe some new brushes or tool sizes. I guess it depends on the tool for the size, but sometimes the lines may seem too thick. But this doesn’t really need to be changed, it’s just a minor thing I’ll get used to. But over all, it’s a good app that I will continue to use and hopefully I will be able to export or send some cool animations. :V

Good but.... There are some features I believe are lacking in this app... I do believe this must have taken time to make but for a four dollar price i feel there should be more for the amount you pay. - Audio: I wish their was more availability in audio functionality... Such as importing an audio file (MP4) made outside of the app, into the app directly. Instead of having to record inside of the app... - Brushes: I get there already are multiple brushes that may have been complicated, and taken time to implement, but I kinda feel like there should be more options. Such as a felt tip pen... with a pressurized point... i.e. You press harder, then get a thicker stroke and lighter pushes give less stroke thickness... Or maybe a calligraphy pen... just opinions... - Stabilizer Options: Brush strokes are always very sloppy (I am not sure if this is because of the app or me) and I feel like a stabilizer could fix that. If a line is sloppy, the computer could check and stabilize the line to make it smoother... Thank you for reading the "inconveniences", I've had with this app (If you did of course... (if no one sees this...)) I can only hope these wishes/features come in in future updates... but that is the devs choice... Note: Stop writing such long reviews...

Very nice!. I’ve tried a bunch of animation apps but this is the one I keep coming back to year after year. I have one request is that the undo feature stay relevant through frame changes. As I’m thinking about this though I can see how it would be a hassle. Each frame would have to be considered an individual project probably. Otherwise, say you saw something wrong through the onion skin but you have already done a bunch of work on the next frame. You’re have to undo everything all the way back to whatever it is you want to change. Unless undo’s stayed tied to each frame so they wouldn’t affect after frames when used. And that seems like it would require, like I said each frame to be its own entity or project. I don’t know, just thinking and typing. If there was a way to keep undo’s to be frame specific that would be a big help. Otherwise love the app!

I love this app but it could improve. I love this app, I use it for individual drawings and animations. But a few things that it could use is selective rotation, more stable fill tool, and flipping the frame/picture horizontally or vertically (so I don't have to use an app and lose its transparency). Besides those not being there it seems fine to me, I myself and lots of others would really appreciate it if you add these features, thank you! Edit: Also getting audio from video links would be nice, so we don't have to get the audio on another device and record it here. Thanks again!

I bought the app. BUT. It's now GONE! My I downloaded it along time ago. And spent my money on it. But, my baby sister got ahold of my iPad and deleted most of my drawing apps and Procreate, but I got to re download those, but NOO! I went to re download this app and guess what! It's now gone from my iPad and my apple id's App Store and purchases tab. I even sent a email to support for this and didn't get an answer. But for the time I've used it it's been one of the best animations apps that I've currently had. I also had a problem like this with limbo. That also got deleted and disappeared from history...

Disappointing and not worth it. I am very disappointed in the app. There are not good brush options and when I try to zoom it starts glitching and leaves a dot behind. While I like how simple the app was designed the brush features have rough edges that are hard to work with and get a polished look. I am also very infuriated with the fact that the brush simply won’t work? I have been trying for the past hour to push through and deal with it but the brush and eraser seem to only work about half the time at best. While these are the main problems, it is also annoying that you can’t import music or sounds and you have to record them for the background. Unless the creators resolve these problems, I highly don’t recommend as it is just frustrating to work with.

Ok at best.... Despite having to pay 4.99(I think?) this app is only ok. It does its job well for what it says, but there really isn’t much else to it. It has the essentials such as a brush, eraser, frames, and panels, but they aren’t the best. This app is a good place to start when getting into animations, but if you expect to make really high quality stuff you should go somewhere else. The tools here are nice and simple, but more times than not you’ll be making mark by accident. I’d say if have some extra cash and want to start animation, I think this is the perfect way to start, but eventually, you’ll become too good at animation for the given tools with this app with enough pracitce.

Help please??. The app renamed itself to “Open Me!” Which feels highly suspicious in itself, even though it doesn’t seem to do anything suspicious after it is opened. Mind you, I was not in the app when this happened but noticed just a second too late after clicking to open it. It was normal a few days ago and had the name of the app normal. I had no problems, no glitches, it didn’t even kick me out during that time. Usually at this moment is when I would delete the app and reinstall to see if that fixes it (seeing as I like it so much). I went and updated my device, checked that the app was up to date, and yet still it was the same. But I have two year old projects in there that I would love to keep, along with another one I finished not even one month ago. I have been using this app for many, many years now (since I was in middle school and now I am far past graduation of high school) and have been proudly recommending it to other people when given the chance. I couldn’t find anything about how to fix this online (google, support FAQ, Apple),, I really do not want to delete my work but find it too suspicious to download anything else from it at this time either. This is my first review I’ve ever had to post only due to the fact of the lack of provided information on how to fix it, and my desperation to keep my old work, which I would have no way to recover. Eh.... It’s great for people who want to practice the basics. Although on the other hand for more serious works it would require a bit more patience since it sometimes crashes or lags when drawing. For example when I draw with a tool, it will suddenly stop functioning but the app is still running, it is just that tool that is frozen for awhile. Also there is not much a wide variety of tools, which is sad but there is a bucket and eye dropper which is pretty nice. Overall it is good for reviewing frames which is fun, but I hope they fix that small bug and add some more things in.

Was good when I started using it. When I first got this app a few years ago everything worked fine but then it slowly started getting more and more glitchy. About a year ago when I was getting more serious about animating, I discovered that I couldn’t save directly to my photo library and today I discovered that when I go to eraser and try to change the size the app crashes for no reason and it deleted a bunch of my progress on one of my drawings. I really hope that the second flaw can be fixed because it’s a pretty big deal to not be able to change the eraser size

Fun app with limitations. I’ve been able to do some fun short animations with this. It’s great for doing single layer stuff with one character. Once you want to do more layers, it gets complicated because the layers are unique to each individual frame. There is no way to add something to the foreground or background for the whole movie at once, you have to add it into every single frame. Also, I can no longer export directly to my photos or videos, I have to email it to myself, then download it, then import to photos from there. Not sure why that doesn’t work anymore.

Help,. I was doing a animation that took me 2-3 days. I was ready to put the music to it. However for some reason I putting the music on frame 1 the music starts at frame 1 but on frame 300 something the music starts again and overlaps the first music. I looked at all the frames and it had a little 0 next to the music icon meaning I didn’t add music to the frames. But music plays at the frame for no reason at all. I made a copy of the animation after I took away the music from the first frame that I actually added. I play the copy and no music plays from frame one (because I deleted it before I copied it) everything was right and silent until the 300 something frame, music started playing. How do I fix this? If this is a bug I recommend fixing it because that’s a big enough bug to make people stop using the app. And has this happened to anyone else?

This app is awesome but one thing. All the tools work perfectly fine, except for the PAINT CAN. It was making me angry because like for example, if I putted green, the whole entire paper turns GREEN. Now since I can't use that tool I literally have to color it green. The lines were literally CONNECTED but the whole entire paper keeps turning green! I was doing it on the same layer, the lines were connected, and the opacity is 100% and it still makes the whole entire paper turn GREEN! I'm not sure if it's a glitch tho. If it can't be fixed then I'm just gonna have to make no color in my animations...

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!. Now a couple months ago I spent MONEY on this app, It’s easy and fun until you finish your animation. You can’t render it to your photos or the app suddenly crashes, when I BOUGHT this app, It was fine, except when I zoom in and out, Random DOTS appear causing it to be EVEN MORE work to erase them! Now when it said “press down to use paint dropped” it just colored the animation not copy the color. Like it used to. The app is getting worse and worse, I refuse to use until the next update. It is frustrating to use. No bugs are being fixed. randomly, the app will CRASH while I’m drawing and when I open it, the drawing has gone. Which is also infuriating. Please update your app.

I’m Obsessed with it!! 😍😍🤩🤩. I was so happy with it that I couldn’t leave it alone or put it down. It is very engaging and very useful. 😃😆 I would rank it is 4 1/2 because the only problem I have with it is it keeps crashing but Not all the time. Worst problem with that is I couldn’t export it without emailing it to myself because it keeps crashing every time. 😞😣 The best part is The tools that I can use to animate! Now I’m almost finished with the first episode that I have been doing since summertime as opposed to five years. I cannot wait make more episodes into a season! In fact into a Series!!!! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

I use it daily, and so do my kids, but.... This is the best simple flipbook app I’ve found and my kids love it. The tools don’t try to be everything and there are little, sensible limits on how and what you use each of them for — similar to limitations on physical drawing implements, though somewhat arbitrary. Like, why would you only be able to draw in 4 shades of black with a pencil tool? But I like this. It’s a very basic flipbook animation app that does the job very well. I love it, my kids create really cool things and come running to me to show me their creations daily. What I hate, hate, hate about this app is that you can’t upgrade to the pro features without subscribing. I’d pay $20, easily, for the extra features because it is so perfect. But I refuse to pay for my, and especially my kids’, creations to suddenly be held hostage — never editable again — to a subscription service. It’s very frustrating and I hope the app developers can understand. We love this app. It has us fighting over who gets to use the new iPad we just bought with the Apple Pencil every day. But if we can’t count on the ability to save, revisit, and refine our creations 2 months or 2 years from now, I can’t encourage them to keep using it. Please consider a purchase to own alternative to your subscription plan.

Pretty Good, plz read!. It has some potential. I kinda like it. Isn't really worth three dollars, I'll tell you why. (Should be worth $0.99 or a dollar.) Okay. So I love how far you can zoom in, and I also love a lot of the app. But, please fix the paint bucket (fill in)! What happens is when I erase in the place I'm going to put the paint bucket, it doesn't even fill the place in. Also, the paint bucket doesn't really even fill things in. Just a blob of pixels. Not that hard to figure out how to do stuff, but I'm still learning. If you are struggling to find a decent app for your iPhone/iPad, this is the one. FlipAClip doesn't really compare with this (I know since I have both apps), I've heard NOT to use the Apple Pencil with this app, because it just simply, DOESN'T WORK. So just don't use it, okay?! Before your money goes down the drain, make sure you want a okay app worth three dollars. Oh, and I don't understand, but every time I zoom in and zoom out and move around, some little dots appear. Please fix that bug! Sorry for wasting your good time. :/

Drawing space not responding to input. Working on an iPad pro with Apple Pencil. The drawing space work for a short while then stops responding to input from either the Apple Pencil or a finger. The tool selectors still function properly, so it's not a pencil battery issue. This app has so much potential on the iPad pro with pencil, but it needs to be updated so that it's reliable. EDIT: Even after a recent update, this problem persists. I deleted the app and downloaded it again, but the drawing area still constantly loses input from the Apple Pencil. I really want to use this app, but this issue makes it impossible. Please make this app stable with the Apple Pencil. AUGUST 2016 EDIT: Latest update STILL doesn't fix this Apple Pencil problem. PLEASE PRIORITIZE THIS BUG FIX.

Works well with minimal issues. This app, in my opinion is one of the best choices for frame by frame animating. I mainly use it for the rough layouts and then take it in other apps and software to do final inks and colors. The onion skin features and overall features work well. It works for the needs I need. The drawbacks that only present itself to me are a few. One people how the app responds to the Apple Pencil and overall pinching to scroll in and out. Many times pinching will cause dots and marks on the layer you are working on which if it’s the rough one then it won’t matter as much. But this could make things annoying when trying to do final inks. The other issue is that sometimes the app would “twitch” and then the tools don’t work for a few seconds. Then after a few minutes the app would just close itself. Not a full close but if you try to go back in it, your frames could mess up and be stuck that way so I just close the app completely and reopen it. Like I said these don’t bother me as much now cause I don’t use the app for detailed work but if you do, hopefully an update will fix these issues if they are still present. Otherwise, it works really good.

great for starting out. I really like how everything is formatted and simple to figure out and use, however this app crashes a lot, usually your frames will still be there, but its still really annoying, also i wish that you could mass copy frames so you could have an ongoing loop while you animated something else on top of it without having to copy each frame of a loop and put it back where it needs to go, also the fill tool is broken which is also a bit annoying. overall this program is very nice and can do a lot of things, but those little things start to get annoying after awhile, but for the most part i really like this app

The best animation app on this store BUT needs an update. I have been working with this app since it was first uploaded onto the app store. I have seen it grow and develop and it has never ceased to impress me with its capabilities. I appreciate this app so much because I am a aspiring animator and I have various projects. However, lately there has been ONE problem as far as the app is having trouble with. I am NOT able tp export ANY of my animations to my photo library, email, frames-to-library, etc. This is frustrating because I need to export them to further edit my animations. In conclusion, I have emailed the developer about this problem and I have yet to recieve their reply. I am hoping that the developer of this app will either: email back, or upload a new update to fix this exporting problem. Another note, it would be VERY beneficial to the consumers of this app to have a telephone support number that we can call in case a problem like this arises. Besides that, this animation application really is the highest performing that I have ever experienced on this store; I truly hope that the developer will see this message and hopefully fix the problem.

This is my favorite app! Its ALMOST perfect. It's great for storyboards, animatics, and building up to actual final animations and projects. Great for practice. If you're an animator, the full version is worth it. There are little peeves i have with it. One, when you rotate your ipad in the main menu, ALL of the animations rotate too. Why? Its cool that in the drawing tools, the drawings stay still, but the main menu needs to rotate. Sometimes i have my ipad plugged in and i have to rotate it in order to work but all of the animations are upside down for no apparent reason. When you exit the app, it restarts upon reentering the app instead of leaving you where you left off. Sometimes i check messages and come back to it, and i have to navigate back to where i was before. A scaling tool l would be nice. I love that you can move stuff around, but itd be even COOLER if you could scale them. Navigating through layers could be easier by just dragging the layers instead of up/down buttons to move them. Also, when youre selected on a layer thats invisible, and you do stuff to it, it affects the layer thats invisible. Why would i want that? Its a great app. Keep updating it! We love it and want more! Edit: its been crashing lately. Once in the middle of when I was working. Please fix.

It’s just ok. Palm rejection issues. Palm rejection not consistently obeyed resulting in lines appearing across the screen. You can hit undo, but it gets annoying, fast. Especially since there are similar apps that do this well (I’m using an iPad mini 6 with a Logitech crayon). Fix that and I’d give it more stars. Interface is very bare bones and playback doesn’t happen in the same screen as drawing. Onion skin could be a lot clearer (it’s faint _and_ blurred making it very difficult to use). Suggest allowing users some control over the opacity and sharpness of that. Other interface controls are kind of small. Otherwise this app has a lot of promise. I hope they can take some pointers from competitors.

Great starting app. This a great app for people who haven’t really animated before. It is a bit tough to start with especially if you use your finger to animate. You NEED a stylus pen or Apple Pencil. It is decent once you get used to it. There are a few minor bugs but that’s just how every complex mobile app is. There is defiantly room for improvement with this app but for the first year of or so my animating career, it was very useful. It is worth the cost but there should be a better tutorial on how to use it or a video on how to use it. Once you pick it up though it’s quite functionable.

Pretty dang good! Just a couple problems. I really like this app and i think its nifty. Its much more convenient than I thought it would be. Overall they did pretty good. The one main complaint i have is that often when i put in audio and play it back, it will lag in the playback and then claim that it has frame issues. Ik its not a problem with my ipad and it only happens when the audio file starts. Also, i wish you could just import audio files instead of recording everything but hey, ya cant ask for everything right? Overall really great

Confused and concerned. I love this app, I've used it for well over a few years with MANY projects saved. The app renamed itself to "Open me!" Which seems pretty fishy. Me, being me, was like "o ok suspicious... but if it'll make you happy mr. app :)" Nothing bad happened, usual app, but I saw another person had the same issue. I also tried searching for a good hour with no help as to what can help it change back or what might have caused it. I thought the app was shutting down and the company somehow renamed it to notify users of that (look, I was panic-thinking, I have tons of projects on there shush) Maybe it's fine for other people, but the fact there's at least two reports of this maybe should have it looked into. Regardless of my concern, it's a great app for animating, the tools are easy and simple to use! Sorry I couldn't talk more in depth about how good this app truly is, I just want others to be made aware of this problem

Great but very buggy. Layers, fill tool, even regular pens have issues. It would be nice to be able to select multiple frames at a time to delete, copy, or move, instead of one at a time. The app crashes and/or every tool stops working completely at random times. The default pen is weird about working with the fill tool, and you must be super sure you closed up every line to avoid white dots around the outlines when filling. Trying to use the pen to color anything causes weird imperfections in the color. Extremely annoying. It’d be nice for opacity on layers to have a percentage. Being able to mirror certain layers or selected areas would also be super helpful. *Export bug* Animations, individual frames, whatever you try, can no longer be saved to your camera roll. The way around this that I’ve found is emailing it to myself and saving the video from the email. While not deal breaking, its very annoying. Other than that, this is one of the best and cheapest animation apps out there. You get to choose canvas size and framerate to your liking which is nice. Honestly, fixing a few bugs and adding a few more features are all that’s needed! Keep up the good work!

Great but new problem. I love using this app and have been using it for years but now there’s a situation I keep encountering that REALLY is a problem. I don’t know if this happens to anyone else, but whenever I try to access my photos in the app to trace something, the app crashes EVERY TIME I select one of my older photos. I don’t know if it’s me or the app but since I’m not too fond of going back through my camera roll and copying all my photos, is it possible for this to be fixed or can someone tell me what to do to fix this?

Lacking but solid :). Although this app has limited tools and has only a little more than the essentials, it is definitely one of the more solid and reliable animation apps for now. The express edition is great for trying it out and the full version only expands upon it pretty well. I definitely prefer this app over the other overpriced apps currently as this app makes up for its lacking tools with its solidity and well tuned simplicity. Note for dev(s): at least an option to have layers global or single frame based would help out a lot for organisation and hassle of creating new layers EVERY frame :D

Fix crashes please!. Great app but now I want to throw my iPad out the window! I spent over 10 hours creating 5 ‘scenes’ for an important animation for work only to find the app crashes when trying to export! I have no way to get the animations to my computer so I can get them to the people who will be projecting them for me. I’m furious and now in a total jam. Fix this problem please. Looking at other reviews, this is clearly not a new problem.

Great but could be better. I enjoyed the app for the drawing and animation however it is clearly very basic which is easy to use for a beginner however there is a huge problem of the app actually crashing from time to time it is pretty frustration when you expect a paid app not to crash plus it did make me lose focus to draw. But if this crashing problem is fixed it pretty good I might say for animation. Note do not use this for professional artworks as the tools are not quite there to make a professional artworks.

Animation HD. It's interesting and fun to play around with, but some of it I don't understand.

Primitive, but... survivable..... It’s a fairly decent app, with a basic selection of tools, and a large but pixelated screen. It has a somewhat usable layer system. It’s overall system is old but working. I would recommend it for beginner animators and artists, however, if you want to try expert digital art, then Procreate is your best bet.

One of the greatest out there.. I fell in love with this app the day I downloaded it. It really helps me when I’m making videos or just doodling. If you are a drawer or animator, this is definitely the app for you!

Much better GUI! Needs tweening ability. I much appreciate the GUI upgrade, especially since the GUI before was really starting to look old, though I have appreciated the existence of this app for a long time now.. Maybe it’s not part of the vision for this app, but if it could be given the ability to animate between keyframes via “tweens” I believe it’s called, then this app would be perfect!!

Ok for beginners. It is simple and easy to use, but the tools are limited and I think it could be slightly more detailed. However it is a good app for beginners. Mabey it’s just me but I think that this app has space for improvement.

A lot of problems.. Exporting is broken, tools are limited and there is no stabiliser, audio import is nonexistent, layout is strange, there are problems with zooming, and it just a clunky and uncomfortable to use program. Waste of my money.

Bad. I bought this thinking it would be different to the free version, but this is just awful. Everything about this app is awful, the random freezes that happen when you animate, the annoying notifications about frames, the amount of tools, the limit to zooming in and out, the fact you cannot input audio and have to record it which has a limit, the rotation, the layout is confusing, the input of image is confusing and it's super hard to fix, delete and move the image you just imported and the fact you have to match up the audio with the animation manually is annoying as hell, the audio doesn't import itself, you have to manually do it. There are too many errors and bugs. If you can fix all of these then this app would be 100% the best. But at the moment it's bad, probably even worse then all of those free animation softwares. I would have liked to put this down lightly, but I'm just too annoyed about this app that I can't! So fix your mistakes, you may even earn more money if you fixed the app. Others from the past have been saying the same thing and you have done absolutely nothing, it has been at least three years, step up your game.

Brilliant!. This the best for animation! But I think you should add a thing where the colour wheel and the other things are add a tab where it shows the 6 colours that have been used recently in that animation. Thanks PuppyLover

Amazing. This app is great because I can do a lot on it. I enjoy drawing and each scene you have to draw which allows you to create a stat you want to create unlike other apps.

Practice Makes Your Animations Perfect!. I have got this app for year+ now. When I first started using it, it wasn't very easy. Now my animations are really smooth but I do wish it needs more stuff in it. If possible, can you add a flip picture in it? And some more tools like blur? That would be great. Thanks!

Anoying not worth it. It is a good app to start off with animation it gets the basic idear but it’s anoying and a pain in the back the help button gives you some help and the community tab doesn’t really help ether,it once said that the animation is to fast for the program and guess what that was the demo! It doesn’t give you a lot of options and is a hassle to animate in if you whant something good and cheap get the free version

Needs a lot of work. The good: this app's brushes are fairly smooth, the layout is intuitive and you can make high quality animations to easily share. The bad: even on an iPad Pro, less than 6months, old this application froze, forced me to shut it down and failed to save my animation. At least I didn't get more than 1 drawing into the animation. I like the audio feature but would really like to see more done with it. I'd love to be able to animate a scene to music or a long conversation. A timeline with audio and visual capabilities would be great, like in Flash or in editing software. I'd like to be able to hear exactly what I should be animating and when. I would also appreciate if the app didn't need to restart every single time I exited to another app or even to the home screen.

GLITCH. I would have rated 5 stars, but I got this app for a school project and I need to export my animation to my camera roll, but as soon as I press export, the whole app crashes and the animation does NOT appear in my camera roll. Please fix this glitch as soon as possible

The only problem is.... So I love this app and I use it to make animations for school projects, but I got an iPad Pro like a week ago and ever since Ii got it (its an iOS 11) the app doesn’t let me export my animations. It just crashes. I wondered whether it was just me but when I asked up my friends who have the same iPad, update and app, had the same issue. Other than that this app is great though. Loving It!. Been looking for a good animating app for a while that doesn't break the bank. I tried the free trial on the computer version but it was too hard to draw with the trackpad. Luckily, they made this app for the iPad. I've been loving it soooooo much! Certainly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a very easy/simple app for animation editing.

Amazing app but one problem. A friend introduced me to this app about 5 years ago and I’ve been using it ever since. However I have been experiencing one problem; in the latest version the app keeps crashing when I try to save videos or frames leaving me unable to save any of my work. Please fix soon, I am still giving 5 stars because in the 5 years I’ve had it I’ve never experienced any problems with it up until now and the app is perfect aside from that.

Waste of money. If you are considering getting this app just wait a minute and read this. This app is okay but the thing that really annoys me about it is you can not put any sounds in from your camera roll. You have to record it and make sure the sound is in the right place. Multiple extremely frustrating bugs.. This is a a useful animation program, but two specific glitches keep popping up, the first one causes where one causes one layer of a frame to become completely invisible in the final animation, despite it being visible in the editing phase. The only way to combat this glitch is to duplicate the frame. This glitch also seems to only effect the third layer. The second is less common, but far more infuriating, it causes the frame rate of the animation to start bugging out and playing at inconsistent speeds. For example, I recently made a 24 frame animation, but when watching it in the app, the frame rate jumped down to 10 immediately, then up to 16, then 17, then back to 24, and then down to 6. This completely screws up any attempt to make animation timed with music, and the only way to combat this one is to export the entire video and watch it in photos, as the framerate will go back to normal.

I love it. It’s not hard to use and if you want to draw trashcans you can do that 2 :D

BIGGER BUTTONS!!. I love this app. It is incredible and can produce high quality animations. But one day, the app was updated, and the buttons were tiny. They are so hard to press and are unnecessarily small. Please, to the creators of AC, make the buttons bigger!

I love it. I don't usually rate apps but this one has helped me a lot over the last four years. This app was great for me when I was first trying to teach myself animation. It's easy to pick up and fun to use. Even now that I'm a more experienced animator with fancy equipment, I still go back to this app because there are just some things I prefer to do in here. If you are just starting out then this is the app for you.

Pretty good if you’re only messing around with animation. This app is pretty good in my opinion. It’s pretty easy to use but the lasso/select tool is stuck as a square. Another thing is the fill bucket tool. When you use it, it leaves a white outline :/ There are some flaws but I don’t think this app is for serious animation. I would say this app is good for simple animation and messing around with animating.

Good but just one issue. I love this it’s the best animation app for iOS but...every time I try to import the frames to my library or the video it lags me off

Cannot export to YouTube and app crashes. Cannot log into YouTube account despite correct credentials and when you try and export the animation directly to the iPad, it crashes EVERY time. Waste of money.

Not worth the money. The audio keeps replaying over itself, and even when i try to delete the audio, it continues to play. The select tool is only in squares,it often leaves random marks around frames.

Glitch. It’s a great app but keeps glitching. Maybe it’s my iPad but I just got it literally 3 weeks ago and whenever I use animation creator HD it lags or suddenly stops drawing and then shuts down. I’m sorry I really do not know how to explain this. Other than it shuts down each time it lags.

I like using it but I want one 2 things. On one page I want more layers, and second thing I want it so you can mirror the picture you made, so for example. Your drawing is facing right then you can switch it so it’s looking left.

Pretty good. It’s really easy to use and that’s a good thing but that also means there are some things you can’t do like twinning or adding music but you can do that in a different editing app. It’s good for its price, but there are other ones that have more expansions I do recommend this for beginner animators though, except I would request more brush types ty for reading

Missing key tools.. No pressure sensitivity or camera option .. there is also no translate or rotate object option ...I feel those are necessity for any drawing or/and animation program . I’d use this for quick fun animations or a story board but never for something serious .

Can’t Export - App crashes. A wonderful app, definitely the best animation app I’ve found so far, but whenever I try to export anything to my camera roll the app crashes. Not bad. It’s a pretty good app, but on my iPad I can’t export my animation without it crashing. I don’t know if that’s because of the app, or the iPad. But this device is very new.

Not Bad. Animation HD is much better than the free version. The only thing bugging me, is the very simplistic audio capabilities. I think there should be a way to make an audio file for a specific frame or number of chosen frames. Other than that, this is definitely the finest animation service I’ve used on an Ipad. Keep on animating.

Would be nice but.... This app would be nice, but unfortunately even with the iPad Pro it crashes when I want export, too bad ... I presume that this will be fixed later on.

Terrible!!!. It doesn’t have a good select tool other then the square crop tool. Truly disappointed. Also the brush’s are the worst part! They are just flat brushes with no pressure sensitivity at all! And there’s only 3 choices! For 5 dollars it’s not even close to worth it. I mean you would think for a animation app it would have a good design/graphics but nope failed me on that too. Want my money back or for these issues to be fixxeed!!!!

Just one complaint. The app is amazing, I just wish the fill tool actually worked!

Peenurs. -Impossible to fill in closed spaces with fill tool without leaving a rancid white brim -No lasso tool, only a crop tool. -Cannot import audio. I guess someone who’s deaf wouldn’t mind if there was music anyways -Cannot copy multiple frames in a row, but you can select an entire frame, duplicate it and move one of the frames. One by one. ... For half an hour -The application crashes occasionally -Extremely limited layer count -You cannot turn a layer invisible across the animation, no, you have to individually hide or delete every single frame one by one -You cannot favourite curtain colours, so you have to leave a single frame with colours for you to go back to every time you want a very specific colour -Colours are not flat. They are inconsistent. You cannot re-colour a coloured area with the fill tool to another colour because of this. Don’t worry though, you’ll still change the colour of an individual pixel. -Its good for beginning animators (not like there’s better things on PC or anything) or a play-thing for your kids

Disappointed. It has a decent set of features, but the inability to import/export SVG has killed my enthusiasm for this app.

Apple Pencil stops taking input. It is NOT iOS 10 ready. That's a lie. The app is a bit clunky, and I have a couple wish-list items listed below to improve it. But THE BIGGEST PROBLEM is when it stops taking drawing input altogether when I'm using my Apple Pencil (I have an iPad Pro). I have to force quit the app and load the animation anew to TRY drawing again, and it doesn't always work. Others have reported this also. PLEASE FIX. This is a paid app, it's not acceptable to sell something that doesn't work. Minor fixes I'd WISH for would be a better way to deal with layers, (there's a way to SEE the layers, and an easy way to add one, but when you load the list of layers, sometimes it doesn't show the background, sometimes it does, and it's very confusing and clunky. I also agree that there should be a better fill tool, and selecting/rotating/scaling capability. Pixelmator is a high standard to reach, and yes, animation is complicated to do. But at the similar price point, we expect a similar standard.

Awesome but.. ( please read ). So when I first found this animation I thought I could finally animate with audio. There is just one problem and I'm sure it's not just me, when ever I use the audio and remove it the audio still plays in the animation. Worst part is it overlaps even if you don't remove it. Please fix this or I'm going to regret ever trying out your app including a lot of other people. You better have read this -ShinxEletro

Regret buying. I've been using this app for almost a year, and I tolerated its bugs for some time, but after a while it begins to get unbearable. It might just be me, but recorded audio doesn't play back the same way it was recorded (for some reason it's echoing), coloring is very troubling, (this isn't really a bug but..) when I rotate my IPad on the app, the animations rotate too, which is really annoying. Besides from all that, it's perfectly fine, but these bugs and issues have remained for the whole time I've been using it.

Only one flaw. It is so close to perfect it hurts. The only thing that doesn't work for me is the fact that my audio doesn't work on it, when I play the animation, it restarts on every frame, so say that the music was happy birthday. Every frame it would replay over the song, so it would sound like happy happy happy but the happy but the song keeps going, so it's just really loud and annoying, does anybody know how to fix this?

Good animation app, just missing some stuff.... I like to animate on this app, but the art could use some working on so I usually import my frames from a drawing app onto AC. It’s pretty good, but the thing I don’t like the most is it keeps on crashing whenever I want to export my animations to my photo library. It always crashes whenever I try anything and my device isn’t very out of date either. Again, good app, but there is some stuff that could be much better.

Great! (Could be improved). I've only been using this app for 2 weeks but it is one of the best animation softwares I have tried on my iPad. It has many great features, and is easy to use at the same time! The one flaw to it is that sometimes when I am in the middle of creating a frame, the app just randomly crashes. Also, it would be great if you could be able to rest your palm on the screen without worrying about making marks on the frame while you draw with an Apple Pencil or some other type of stylus.

Fine, but needs some work. I think this is a great app with a lot of potential but it has some stuff that really needs to be added like the ability to export it as a transparent gif and use different backgrounds in one animation. Another good quality of life addition would be adding the ability to control how long a frame runs, something like being able to choose how many times a frame runs consecutively without having to duplicate the frame a million times would be great.

Really Good, but some changes needed. The app is amazing to draw and animate with, but sometimes zooming in causes the canvas to glitch out and because the redo and undo buttons are so small, I often find myself accidentally drawing dots when I want to redo something. Although it’s already pretty cool we can record audio, it’d be nice to be able to import it. Anyway, it’s a pleasure to animate with and I’d recommend getting it. :)

I can't use sound or photos. I've had this problem with this for a long time and you guys have never fixed it... when you use a sound, even when you don't loop the animation it's sounds horrible... there's like a million people saying that audio... this one hasn't been around too long because you can't add a photo because it crashes then... can you fix those bugs please???

Good app just a lack of tools.. I love this app, me and my friends have animation contests and it’s really easy to use. The only problem is the types of tools. You guys have the basic set of tools that aren’t the best and if you implemented more tools and updated the ones you have, this app would be perfect. A custom pallet of your most recent colors and a lasso tool would be a great start. A rotation or duplication tool to rotate or duplicate certain items instead of the whole would be great.

Fantastic!. I’m loving this app, although it’s tough to use. I wish the creator would start pumping out some updates to fix the random dots and lines that appear and the glitch were you move the screen and you can’t draw nor erase anything. It’s touchy sometimes. Even with these difficulties, the basis of the app is wonderful and it’s worth it. You buy it, no “get the extra extra edition!” Its very much worth the price! Though, I almost broke the app by making an audio file way to long... so don’t do that.

It started out so good, how did it end up like this. It was only a kiss of the Apple pen to the app when it stopped working. I did a video for school with this app and it seemed to work really well. There is another review that I am doing that is similar to Saml Was, same issue. I am doing another project on it right now and the pen seems to work fine for a little while, and then it does not. I have to turn that app of and on and even restart the app. This makes for an unpleasant experience. Developers please find this issue and fix it, this would have been a five star review.

My Go-To Animation App. Excellent app: Simple enough to get started with right away and rich enough to keep learning new tricks with as time goes on. Out of all the animation apps I've tried I've bonded the most with this one - some things could be better (the color-fill bucket tool being high on that list) but for what really matters: feeling a direct connection with your animations using a minimal-yet-complete UI and feature set, this is the app I reach for every time.

Great tool for the price. I love that you can do multi-layer animations on the iPad at a very low cost. The way I’m working now is to import PNG files created in Procreate, because I find that the brush set and drawing features are better with that app. Here is a short set of improvements that would earn this app a five-star rating from me: - Better brush engine, with Apple Pencil pressure sensitivity. OR - Better integration with Files app (current version only imports from photos library) - The ability to select a group of frames and duplicate them. The frames view currently only supports reordering them. - The ability to select a group of frame *layers* and duplicate only the selected layers across the timeline. - Copy/cut/paste across layers and across frames I hope you continue to maintain and improve your app.

Amazing App One Problem. So, this app is extremely beginner friendly and really convenient to use with many features being readily accessible like layers. However my only gripe is that there is no text feature. You either have to manually make the letters with your fingers or add it on later in a editing software. Other than that it’s a great app with good capabilities.

Important!. Right now this app is nice for animatics and maybe small animations. It's not for full blown animations or even quality animating/drawing, every time I try to draw it always makes small dots randomly when to try to rotate my screen, this isn't a really big issue expect it's so much extra work to go through all my frames and try to find every dot that I now have to delete. Secondly, when I try to put audio in it doesn't let me pause? Overall, this app can do some improving in the future. Till then, I suggest not buying this app.

It's good, but I have some suggestions. I'm with most of the reviews, this is a good animation app, but it has its bugs and I have my suggestions. 1. When I zoom in or out it leaves dots from where my fingers last touched. 2. The selection tool is great, but it only gives you a box selection. I'd like it if we were able to have a lasso selection. 3. I'd like it if for the music we were able to pick a song out of the music app. I don't like how staticky my recordings are. 4. This suggestion may be asking a lot but I'd like if there was a tool like a pan and crop or track motion, or a camera tool of some sort. 5. Lastly I'd like if we could pick the size of the animation ourselves, instead of selecting from a list. Thank you for listening (well reading) to my suggestions.

when u press the home button. when I press the home button my animation disappeared and it was really good I kinda hope this app will fix that but it’s really fun to use when u get bored or a car ride or when u play music for when you make it it’s really fun it could be better there’s a lot of bugs I some areas of the app but it’s still really great for you and your friends I recommend this to all my friends and siblings you should do so too.

So Many Advantages Over Other (Mediocre) Competing Animation Apps. I'll get to the point. Pay the $4. You won't be sorry because: No adds. No in app purchases. Everything you need to get started. Easy to learn. You can share on multiple platforms. I would wish a better way to keep track of often-used colors and tools, but that's about it. I am so grateful the developers chose a different direction from the competition.

Solid Animation App. It may freeze up at times but make no mistake it is an excellent app for animating it even has a little audio tool to add your own sounds still trying to work it out though with all the back ground noise. Also if your just want to get into animation or doing it for a hobby then this is for you. Better then forking over a huge amount of money for flash.

Can’t Save To Photos, never ever. Doesn’t export to Photos as advertised. This NEVER works for me. I’ve deleted and reloaded the app many times to see if that helps. NOT. It’s hard to work long hours or days on an animation and not be able to output it properly to Photos app. Emailing it to myself is the only way I can save the file to work on later and even that doesn’t work sometimes. I like this app but the problem I’ve described above is a long time issue that desparately needs a fix.

Please put back the undo button on the top right corner again…. Having excess to it at the top right was so much better and not to mention that it made it a lot more convenient to quickly undo a small mistake. But now because of this it’s a lot more inconvenient to work then reach across the screen to undo smh. Animating is already a slow process but now it’s more annoying to do. Please put it back!

This App Is GREAT—JUST DOWNLOAD IT!. This app has NO ads, the animation tools work amazingly, you can adjust them however you’d like. The speeds are perfect and they have any speed you need. Apple Pencil and styluses work well too on it. I am a beginner animator and this app is perfect for any people who want to animate but don’t have any idea how. They have examples if you are confused. Trust me, I got this app two days ago, and it’s not just helping me, it’s fun, and all I want to do is ANIMATE! Thank you so much!

Had potential...way too glitchy. This app has potential to be pretty great. However, it glitches so constantly that I have stopped using it out of frustration. My iPad is caught up on updates but the app still freezes constantly, erases my panels randomly, or just draws a haphazard line when all I did was a dot. In addition, a dot appears when I zoom in, and if I don’t catch it at first, I have to go through all the duplicate panels and erase it. All these problems double the time needed to make an animation. I am looking for a different app but I already paid money for this one and expected better performance.

There’s a lot to work on here.. I’ve used this app for a long time, and using it with my new iPad Pro got me even more excited to use it. Unfortunately, I really don’t like this new version. When I want to tap on a new video on cineverse just to watch it, it immediately crashes. I can’t upload any of my stuff onto there, either, since it won’t let me select the category for it to go into cineverse. I can’t delete all my stuff either, because I don’t want to lose my progress. Can you guys fix this, please? I would really love to use this app again, and I’m excited to see what more tools you guys can offer!

Great but Audio. This app would be flawless IF you could allow us to import audio files. It’s literally the only thing hindering me from actually being able to make a decent animation with this app. I’ve been using this app for the better part of a decade, and somehow the devs haven’t thought to add audio importing?? I really don’t want to have to record an audio just to do a simple lipsync and have the audio be garbage. Don’t know why this hasn’t been done at all. Kinda shocking.

Really great app...wish I could give it a 5. I love this app. It's easy for people who are just learning to animate and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is due to the recording audio option. It's really hard to add music to an animation without it overlapping awkwardly and I do wish the drawing options were a little broader--literally the largest size is still relatively small. But I still recommend it.

It was a good app. I really liked this app when I got it in 2016. It was very easy to use and I made some pretty good stuff on it. It wasn’t to complicated and was easy to use plus you can post your animations on the cineverse. Sadly though, I’m pretty sure Misoft discontinued the app since the last update was two years ago. And you can’t upload animations anymore. It was fun using this app and I’ve really gotten into animation with it. Rip animation HD (2012?-2022) you will be missed…

App is Good But Needs Work. It’s an easy to use app that’s fun to use and good for navigating different functions. Good for a beginner like myself and I love the layers options. Only problem is that it sometimes crashes when I go to save the animation as a video which is annoying most times. Only other minor complaint is the weird digital lines that appear when you use certain tools to color in a space. Other than that the app is an overall good quality app for an animator newbie.

Absolutely Perfect except one annoyance. I love this app, by far the best animation app I've ever used plus it is super easy to use! The tools are nicely made and the fill tolerance of the fill bucket is fantastic! However, I'm not sure if this is happening to anyone else but every time I move the image to a different section to work in better detail, there will be a little dot that I have to erase, other than that best animation app I've used.

Great for beginners (like me). this app has helped me a lot with my animation career I have wanted to start. I hope an Update will be soon tho because it does crash sometimes. But so far its the best app for animation. Another thing is that it saves your project for you and it has a timeline that you can go back and edit it if you need to. If they do an update please make it so you can have it on a tablet too! That would be awesome!!! :)

ANNOYING PLEASE FIX!!. I love this app it’s perfect. I used to use FlipAClip which kinda got annoying b/c its Imperfect lines. I love how it’s compatible with Apple Pencil . But the thing that say IM SO A 4 STAR! Is that it crashes VERY VERY often every 5 mins or so. Or if not it doesn’t crash until 30 mins. After 10 mins the Apple Pencil stops giving feedback. I check If it’s dead, but it works perfectly. I have to restart the app to continue. Sometimes the app crashes when this happens. REPEATEDLY. This app is beautiful but can get on my nerves since I’m Inpatient...

Nice ways. The two examples really helps you get the idea of what you want to animate it’s really a nice way to get you started and the best part about it is that it’s fun and if you’re bored you can always do this because it takes a lot of time and effort this has been one of my favorite apps and I recommend you to buy it it costs money because it’s really good so I give it five stars

The best animation app there ever was. It is the best animation app there is you can do anything you can make so many different animations although it’s not 3-D animation it is very good you can make any sort of animation you want and all you have to do is choose the color you want and choose the tool want to use and get to work i’ve made so many cool animations on this app it is the best app there is no joke it is just perfectly perfect I love this app.

Love this app. Although I think some of the features mentioned in other reviews would be cool to have, this app is AWESOME as it is. It's so fun to scribble and make animations with just an iPad. I don't have an Apple Pencil but use the Kuel and haven't had a problem yet. It's simple and well thought out (developers are definitely animators) and I am never bored anymore. Don't worry about rotate or cut and paste...that is for sissys....just draw!

Copy and Paste. This app is very good for animating in particular. But, if it had a copy and paste feature then it would be even better and easier for usage. Consider on adding this feature. The duplicate feature is good but it only copies on to the next page which isn't what I want. Not trying to sound selfish at all but if you can copy from one page and paste on to any other page you want would make things ALOT easier.

Amazing!. Again, there needs some improvements, but you just literally added 10 Layers! Thank you SO MUCH for the amazing improvements! Yet, everything could use a little constructive criticism.. This truly is my favorite animation app by far, but could you have rounded lines and boxes? Also, could you make an option to flip a layer? This way, I can copy and paste my assets! Pretty good animation app!. It’s a really great animation app, I like using it for drawing sometimes, too. There are some flaws, though.. whenever I zoom in or out, or when I tap undo or redo, a small dot appears. It gets annoying when it happens a lot. Another thing is that I wish you can add more layers. The max layers to have is five layers... I hope in the future there could be an update fixing these issues?

Almost perfect. It would be a wonderful animation program, easy and fun to use, if there wasn't one problem. Every time I play my animation, usually at 30 frames per second, it slows it down to 12 fps right in the middle, and then speeds it back up. This wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't TRYING TO SINC IT UP WITH THE AUDIO. It doesn't work at all, and makes me do all this work to try and animate a simple song, and then when I import it into my camera roll, everything is screwed up. ONLY THE ANIMATION APP SLOWS IT DOWN. So it's in sinc with 30fps that then goes to 12fps, and then back to 30, and then when I save it to my camera roll its all in 30fps?? Could someone help? Is there a way to fix this?

It is good for beginners. I have had this for 3years and I still use it but for goofy little animations. Other people have like special drawing tablets instead I just download this on my IPad and use a pen for tablets. I just want a tool which I could drag the points of my lines or drawings like paint tool sai then it would be perfect because now I redraw every shape and each time even though I use the faded form or the last frame it still is not the exact way. I hope my message is somewhat understood and it is heard by the creators

Can’t import sound, no pen pressure. It allows for layers if you need that for simple animation.. I was looking for a app that would be a better tool for animatics then procreate, since it doesn’t have multiple layers for the timeline and you can’t import sound. Animation creator unfortunately isn’t as good as I had hoped. You can record sounds, but not import them. There’s no pen pressure, though hopefully that’s just a glitch, otherwise it works fine but I can’t use it for my personal projects.

Review. So I absolutely love this app. I'm an artist, but the drawing is sloppy. I much prefer to draw using paper and pencil, because this drawing is a little sloppy. The other thing I don't like is the pop up, saying, "Please rate us, your feedback is important" Like, what if we don't want to rate you, and just want to draw? My only other complaint is that if you keep the tab open, and open another one, you don't go back to your drawing, you go back to the home page.

Totally worth it!. I've had this app for a very long time, and have never had a huge problem with it or how it works. I would, however, like to be able to move a layer gradually off-screen without it clipping off whatever isn't on-screen. I've made many successful animations and I couldn't have gotten this far without this app! :)

I love it! But it could be better by.... So, this is a awesome app! I can finally get better and start learning how to animate! But, I think just a fading tool or a blur tool should be added. And I think you should add a tool to get a part of the drawing for the animation and be able to move it around to make the animation very smooth so you don't have to buy a app to do it. But this is a good animating app and I love it!

I’ve got a little problem... I’ve been using this app for about 4 years. During that time I’ve switched to an IPad Pro and now draw all my frames in Procreate and import them one by one into Animation Creator HD. This has been working perfectly for about a year or two. Yesterday I updated my iPad (hadn’t done it in a while) and now I can’t save my animations to my camera role. Could you please fix this? Not sure what I’ll do without this incredible app

I Can’t Scrub The Audio. Animation Creator HD is amazing but there’s one thing that bothers me. It says “scrub audio” at the menu and I turned it on. Pretty much it’s not letting me scrub the audio it only does it when I go to the frame where I placed the audio. I don’t understand I need help figuring out how to scrub through the whole timeline. I don’t want to go back to FlipaClip the brushes are useless there. I’m hoping to figure out the problem soon. It’s hard animating without it scrubbing everything.

Rating. I think it is a good app for the right amoubt if money, you should buy it, the only reasons I rated this 4 stars is because you can’t save colors you have used before so it is very hard to get the same color then you had in the last frame you worked on. The second reason I rated it 4 stars is because when you zoom out some times it gliches out an dkicks you out of the app, but ut saves your progress, that reason is just annoying. If those glitches are fixed then it would be a 5 star for me.

This App Needs A Big Update. I was trying to make an animation but it failed can you ad a frame bundler to group them into scenes ? Also I could use some perspective tools or an infinite canvas for a bigger scene including the scene 1 icon . A handy app to use if you add some more canvases and tools to work with and the frame grouper would be nice 😊 So I would be happy if you add that for me. So if I get infinite drawing space then I would not have to draw with the pixels showing I can see them so if I get an infinite canvas sene you are drawing on the computer 💻If you can also make a better and bigger way bigger version for Mac OS X and Bigger electronics I would like it if you add more tools and stuff for animating and designing that would be fantastic. What about stick figure tools and fleshing out tools? And rendering tools I go for making bigger animations This game needs some stuff for making big animations Also add more implementing tools to make special effects for your big cartoon . I mean if their where more stuff like scenes that would be great 👍

Almost perfect!. I love this app! It has helped me begin a lot of animations. I'm still learning the tools and techniques, and I feel like this helps a lot! I'm not sure if this already exists...but do you think that you could make the different layers work independently? Like, you can animate completely on one layer for the entire animation, and then put a second layer over? I hope that makes sense... Thanks again!

Sound Imports?. I love this app and use it frequently. The only problem I have with it is that the only way to get audio is to record it, instead of also having the option to import sound from your camera roll. I feel as if sound imports would make the app much better and make animating much smoother and easier. I, as well as many other people I bet, would appreciate it if this feature is added. Thank you!
