Great app to have. When I practice for my public speaking class, I'll be all set now. Great idea and a very useful app

Only 1suggestion. My only suggestion for this app is a flashing red background when time runs out.

Needs an update. This app could have been so much more. It is not user friendly & has limited functions even after the upgrade that I paid for. Forget the update. The is an a different ap that does way more for $99.

Rip off. I paid extra, PAID EXTRA for settings and they aren't persisted across multiple launches of the app. !?!?!!? I feel robbed. Fix this, it's easy for you to do.

Needs work - do not buy until fixed. The touch to start and stop is terrible. I bought timer and upgrade for presets, it is not useable with touch problem. I tap the screen 1 to 30 times for it to respond. New ipad, this is the only app I have ever used that has touch problem. Rated 1star so I can post.

I have purchased much better ones. This app seems buggy on my iPad 2. I purchased Pclock about a year ago and was much more impressed and was not charged to add new presets - yes, while the app costs 99 cents, you have to pay for additional presets. It had a number of good reviews, so I thought I was missing something. When I click on the "I" implying info about the app, it just shuts down. Going to their website gave me the instructions I was looking for under "I." I had hoped this app would handle short 90 second presentations better, but was generally unimpressed. Setting it is pretty easy once you figure it out, but there is no sound and no overtime timer. Again, Pclock gives me all of this for the same price.

Often unresponsive. Very disappointing app has good features, but can’t count on it to start with a click, as advertised.

works great needs to flash as it ends. sound would be nice to manually turn on or off. needs to flash as it ends. upgrade and put sound on it at the end to manually turn on and off.

Great app!. Really good app for keeping presentations on time. A settings menu would be helpful. But overall very nice app.

Really outstanding!. At first, I was intimidated by the simplicity of this app. But it is absolutely wonderful! I've recently taken a Dale Carnegie course and have found that this is the perfect app for writing and honing multiple speeches of any length with a fully adjustable warning "light". An iPhone makes it cool!

Not great. Too simplistic. The instructions icon doesn't even work, just crashes the app. From what I can tell you have to drag to set the timer and it uses 15 second intervals. Start and pause have no visual indication just double clicking on the time. Seems like it takes too much effort to set the time and intervals.

Annoying feature. When you try to set time, keeps asking if u want to buy more presets?! If I buy the app, shouldn't it have multiple presets, like iPhone alarms?

Horrible. You invest 10.00 and the there are no instructions Apple I’ll delete give me money back. Truly I can’t tell you how bad this is

First time using the timer. Easy to use-and really made keeping on schedule for the lectures,breaks, and classes a cinch! I think that instead of the small "status" lights at the bottom-it would be easier to know at a glance if the numbers changed colors instead-with the red flashing at about 5minutes remaining?

Only needs one thing. I’m a speaker who can be a little long winded. I’ve used this app for years with no problems, however, I need to know how far over my time I’ve gone. I could always increase the time, but then I will just use that time as well. I want a visual that keeps track of time after my time is up. :-/

Overall pretty good. Many have mentioned that it would be nice if it counted into negative values once your time is up and I agree. Also it would be nice if the timer ran up like a stopwatch as an optional setting. Potential improvements aside it is a good ap and easily worth a dollar.

Perfect. Works great when you read how to use it. Would be good to include a settings menu.

5 stars & counting. If you ever have to speak within a given time frame then this is the app for you. With an interface that is both simple & fast, but still elegant. If you forgot how to set it up, it even has a clear set of instructions. Why wouldn't you want. GREAT APP!

Good app. Would love it if.... Would love it if the time would count upward after the expired time so that you know how far over you are.

Annoying shortcomings in settings. I originally got this app because I confused with another one. Anyway, I bowed to the pressure of paying the $.99 for the 5 settings, partly because I thought that would be a great thing to have, and partly because I like to pay for useful software. However, I have found one area with the settings that annoys the heck out of me and has made me not use this app any more. It's the fact that ll my 5 presets resets to the TED time of 18 minutes between uses. In other words, if I spend the time setting up specific times, they are gone next time if I quit the app. Very annoying, and counter intuitive.

Great application. Works very intuitively. Two suggestions for improvement: more presets and counting the other way (sometimes you want to know how long you spoke, not how much time is left)

The Best Speaker Timer App available. As a regular TED speaker and frequent presenter, I've tried most of the timer apps (and hardware) on the market. This one is clean, simple, inexpensive and has been my timer of choice for several years. I really like it!

Works but must pay again for presets. This is a simple app for $5. It works as described but asking for another $5 just to have more than one preset is complete BS. Greedy.

Not adjustable. Just 18 minutes.. On intuitive controls. No instructions. Garbage.

Sweet App. I was thinking of making an app exactly like this one, but I'm glad I didn't because this one is way better than I could do. It now has permanent space in my iPhone -- it's definitely a *must have app*.

DO NOT GET THIS APP. They will try and rip you off they advertise things for a charge of 4.99 and then have additonal charges to open the features after initial sale. SCAM!!!!!

Instructions vague. I thoroughly read the instruction in the store (why aren’t they in the app) and Still couldn’t get it to operate the way I anticipated. I want my money back. :-(

POS. Don't waste your money. Couldn't get it to do anything but count down from 18 minutes. Allows only one preset and you can't change it. No instructions. Not worth the 99 cents.

Great app for sure but would like to see some updates. A great app for sure… I agree that a flashing background would be great when time runs out. Plus a count up would be great too during the overtime...

Missing one feature - but otherwise great!. I love this App! However, the one thing that it needs is an option to go negative once the time has run out. As it stands now if you don't see it hit Zero, you have no idea how much time you're over. It could be one minute over or 10 minutes over, you have no idea because it hits zero and stops. I'd also like the option of having a beep at the Yellow and Red warnings so that again, if I'm not look at it I get an audible warning. Add these and I'd gladly give it the 5th star!

Missing Critical Feature. Warning! This app does NOT count upwards after time has expired. It's an enormous oversight, and one that prevents our speaking business from using this app as our speaker timer. If this feature is included in future, we'll revise review.

NOT GOOD. Application not good. First negative thing is that it constantly asked you if you want to upgrade to more presets and there is no way of shutting the annoying message off unless you pay your $.99 additional. To me that is a very strong arm tactic that I hate. There is also no time shown negatively so when the clock hits zero you don't know how much beyond zero you have gone. It also does not have any sound warnings. When you hit help but it crashes Total waste of money twice since I had to purchase more presets to get ride of annoying strong arm messages PCLOCK is a far better application it has sound and numerals change color at various presets. It also displays negative time as well. Easier to set times with wheel

Innovative, Feature-full AND Intuitive. Fantastic use of the iPhone SDK and UI - but then Oliver is a master at his craft. Keep up the good work!

Used it for years. I downloaded this to my iPad years ago. I give lots of presentations and this is the most ingenious and wonderful device ever. It helps you avoid the problem of having the person in the back of the room holding up signs that say “five minutes”. Helps you keep on track and look like a superstar

Would like to see.... Nice app. Would like to be able to set below 15 min in 5 min increments. Agree with others that a count upward after end time would be great.

Works exactly as expected. This is a great app with easy setup and excellent display during countdown. It would be great if we could "optionally" play a different sound from ringtone library at each of the milestone (Yellow, Red and zero)

Does what it's supposed to. I don't know why this app has so many bad ratings. It does what it's supposed to do, and it's free. What more could you ask for? It came in handy for me as I was giving a presentation today.
