Groupon - Local Deals Near Me Comments & Reviews 2026

No Customer Service. I made an accidental purchase, emailed immediately, and still have not heard back from customer service. I woke up the other day tired and groggy and remembered I needed to purchase tickets for an event in Seattle. I did a Google search for that specific event, and Groupon was second in line with an event that was the same price and time that I had been looking for, and a similar name and photo. I went through the purchase process, checked out as a guest and completed my purchase for what I thought was the event in Seattle that I search for. Upon receiving my receipt in my email a moment later, I realized that the event was for something in New York City that night. I immediately started searching for a customer service phone number, which apparently does not exist. I started searching on their webpage for some sort of customer service email. I found a page with numerous options, but no real answers. I sent an email to the parent company and was given the website again with the FAQ info. I sent a message to customer service through this portal and have now been waiting six days. As I read on the page, I only have 24 hours for a refund. Which doesn’t help any if customer service never responds to you… I spent over $70 on an event I couldn’t possibly attend and Groupon has zero customer service representation. I notified my bank and put a payment on my account and I have to check today to see if that actually stopped it. This is atrocious customer service.

Think this is one of the most modern apps I’ve seen come out. So many apps are the same nowadays trying to keep up with the millennials trying to keep up with the elders young crowd the cool crowd the key club the debate team for soccer team football team blah blah blah I think this website keeps up with everybody it’s affordable and the only problem I have is that I fell in love with that deal my first time offer I decided to go ahead and buy a canvas for 2999 and I thought that I could put my own picture on there but apparently it’s a picture and it’s already on there I hope that this isn’t the case and they send me an email asking me what picture I want because I have it on my phone and I soon plan on calling to make sure that’s when I’m going to be receiving but other than that I don’t think it’s a great app and if all goes well I continue to use it the commercials are funny to she’s right why not treat yourself like they say on parks and rec some days you just got to treat yourself but I want to treat myself with my own painting/picture but it was quick and easy I just hope I didn’t order something for three dollars that I don’t need like a black and white mountain I don’t mean but the Marilyn Monroe picture that is associated with my sister who is no longer with me would mean the world to me and I have it saved in my phone I thought that’s what the canvas was about but I guess the city until then I have no complaints I’m treating myself tonight I think your app is uniqueAnd it’s just the right amount of savings with just the right amount of good items all in one app it’s too hard to turn down like I couldn’t turn the deal down I just hope I get to choose the picture on the canvas

Groupon. Have used Groupon many many times. I do like to spend so with that I need to save and by far Groupon is much better than any $1.00 coupon. Yes this is true. The problem I have experienced way more than 1 occasion but I do continue to use Groupon. I have been disappointed with the house cleaning service , set up service constantly verifying the date time person coming texting back and forth was excited for this to happen I am handicapped found out at 5 am the morning of . They texted me 10:10 the night before the were due the next morning at 11:00 am I was sleeping. They rescheduled me for sometime in February I set up January for a reason. They didn’t give me even 24 hr notice but they stress the importance if were cancel at least 48 hours Another s gift to my daughter for Christmas a mother and daughter time out to get our eye brows threaded. Very disappointed in the place it was not even so classless and dirty selling herbs and spices clothes. Then I ordered flowers threw Groupon to A Florist omg not even close and to what I was expecting. They stated on the ad that with covid 19 flowers might be a slight issue they will do there best to duplicate. Not even close brown basket shown and purple and pink beautiful arrangement, what they got was a leftover white Easter basket with some fall flowers shoved in it. Disgrace to use covid as an excuse. Clothes several times not true And that is enough to give you idea

Groupon Experience 👍👍. Every time I have ordered a Groupon offer, the experience has always been very pleasant & over the years I have had a couple issues, but they were always addressed quickly & resolved quickly. I love the vast array of offers that they have available every day & there are offers that can fill any niche that a person may have. Today I ordered some cupcakes & last year I ordered & bought a drive in a Lamborghini on a test track in the Auburn/Kent areas & OMG, it was absolutely incredible. I have always been a car guy, since I was a little kid, but that was & still is my passion for good ol’ American Muscle Car. Never in my wildest dream did I ever imagine that I would be sitting in the drivers seat of a Lamborghini, (well that is a little fib) as I have had dreams of myself sitting in the drivers seat behind the wheel of a Lamborghini, but in all those dreams, it never involved a set of keys. It was an incredible dream/bucket list item I could scratch partially filled, I would need to be in that same car, but on the autobahn to fully scratch that experience off my bucket list. Groupon, I will definitely be back to drive another ridiculously luxurious sports car, but I need to wait a few years till my boys are older & we can get them behind the wheel also😁😁😁 So good job Groupon, if I could give you 10 stars I definitely would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cool and not cool. Huge distaste for Groupon+. Please make this category somewhere on its own maybe. Maybe it's just my platform on my iPhone 11, but when I click my stuff it will require me to enroll my card for free, but here's what happened...went to driving range with some guys with a nice deal. Get there and it's a black hole for cell reception, click my stuff and I get the Groupon+ popup and I can't deny it, so I am forced to hit "enroll for free" even though I could care less about it, but with no internet connection it will say "could not link try again later" and go back to the main pop up page preventing me from viewing my already purchased deal....So guess who couldn't use their Groupon that night....me. Some other guys said it was really weird. I connected it at home then it happened again just today. I was just trying to show a friend a deal and it was asking me to enroll my card...already did that over wifi the night of the golfing incident when I got home. So, I like Groupon and the cool deals you find, but absolutely hate Groupon plus. At least give me an c in the corner to close that retarded pop up about it or give me an "enroll later" button don't force it. You'll turn your good app into junk.

Groupon Rocks. I have been using Groupon since 2009 or 2010 and have well over 100 purchases ranging from personalized Christmas card discounts and same day flower deliveries, acupuncture and kickboxing, to hot yoga and pole dancing classes...to vacations abroad in Mexico and amazing luxury bed and breakfast excursions in Maine! I have also traveled cross country by car, and as we zonked out and could drive no further for the day (or got hungry/thirsty) we would just hop on Groupon and find the nearest and coolest hotel, B&B and/or restaurant and bar and buy a Groupon and check in or use it via mobile device moments later! It has saved me tons! I once had a bad experience (very bad) with a sushi making class in which I had planned as an out-of-town trip with my 3 best friends as a gift, and we did not receive any of the hands-on learning or preparation that was advertised. I paid a substantial amount of money for the 4 of us and all I needed to do was detail my complaint to Groupon reps (reality vs what was advertised) and my money was refunded within 6 hours (though the rep said 2-3 days) and a nice apology as well as a thank you for describing the experience we had, so that Groupon could make well informed decisions to remove that specific chef from their marketing! I’ve also had so many fantastic experiences with new massage and hair dressers that offer great deals...easily of my 100 first purchases 30 were massage, mani-pedi and hairstyling buys! And it allowed me to weed out the “eh, I’d never buy that full priced” ones with a no harm-no foul mentality! My experience with Groupon has always been excellent! Keep up the super work guys!

Really Wonderful Products at Amazing Prices!. Exactly! The “other brand” Electric Toothbrush that I bought for 88% off is Terrific! I love the 30-second pauses to remind you to ensure that you’re spending the proper time in the different areas of your teeth. Plus, the 3 settings give you the wonderful option of a more gentle brush for sensitive teeth (me!). It’s been three weeks and the battery is still going strong. I really love it and I can definitely feel the difference that will show up at the dentist (i.e., removing plaque and cleaner, whiter teeth). Every item that I have purchased here has been wonderful and does exactly what it says it will do. Today I have just purchased skincare after literally spending thousands a year in retail for such items. I can’t wait for my retinol face treatment, vitamin c eye cream and bonus oil to arrive...for a total of $30 including tax and shipping! I will try these products and let y’all know if they live up to expectations! I don’t recall the brand, but it is not one that I am familiar with, soooooo...If it works as well as the other purchases that I have made from Groupon I am going to be thrilled! I know that I can always count on this company to come through for me, or I can simply return it for a full refund!

Groupon sells shady deals for sketchy “businesses”. I have used Groupon many times but I purchased two massage certificates for my husband and I for Christmas. I purchased mine in November went to the website too book it the same day. Calendar all booked up until January 2019. So I wait two months and get to the place on time to find out the door is locked. Saw people moving around inside so I knock. Lady comes out with a long piece of weave in her hands (she was braiding and cutting it). Anyhow she tells me that the person no longer works there and I was the 5th person she has turned away. She told me to contact Groupon for a refund. Won’t you know it they will not refund me. I know the fine print tells you after 3 days all sales final but I did not see it say they will sell me a Groupon for a shady place, make me wait passed the refund period, and then never get services and it’s just oh well. Now I have to waste time, energy, and money and find a lawyer. I am gathering information to send to the news outlets as well. People need to know Groupon is selling for shady businesses that have no intention of actually providing the service and no matter what you won’t be refunded. I have contacted the owner of the location multiple times, wouldnt you know it she is ignoring me. I have contacted Groupon via chat, email, and the call me back option, and yes you guesses it they are absolutely ignoring me! STAY AWAY FROM GROUPON AND FRESH BEAUTY STUDIO IN STOCKBRIGE, GA!!!!!

Don’t trust Groupon for large purchases…read the fine print!. I was going on vacation with my family and bought a Groupon for a fun activity to do while there. I waited to redeem the event until we arrived at our destination. However, I never received the email with my tickets and gift card. Customer service is ridiculous, the chat agents aren’t helpful and I was told someone would have to look into it and I’d receive an email within 24 hours. I had to go pay full price for the event and my trip was over. Later, by email I was told that the merchant never got my order so I could receive Groupon bucks. They needed to confirm a few things by email. So I waited, time passed by and apparently they went ahead and gave me the bucks but only gave me 24 hours to use them. No one told me they had even been applied to my account! So I had to battle with customer service again. Agent after agent told me they couldn’t refund me and they couldn’t apply the Groupon bucks a second time. I had to repeatedly ask for a supervisor. This process took weeks of hassling Groupon in order to finally get an email from a competent, caring supervisor. I bumped my rating up by one star for her since she made it right and I was able to use my Groupon bucks on another order and not lose my money.

Great prices & sales but buying direct use CC or Paypal catch !. They have great sales on multiple items, to use cash/debit/not on your credit card use Paypal it’s way easier at checkout ! Sales are great for items but it’s frustrating when they say your billing address isn’t a match with your bank and can’t purchase using debit card for individual purchases thru Ave A - Groupon store but you can purchase multiple items at check out with the same card. To purchase direct thru Avenue A- Groupons Store they must want you to use a credit card or Paypal, For the credit card I hate using a credit card for a 25$ purchase when you can just pay for it, I’m gonna guess it’s the way you get the great Deals , it’s worth the hassle for some items! Also they save your card info- no other way to do it - when you check out or Pay with a card, so after you purchase check under “payment methods” and your card info is saved you can edit it and remove it, for those who have partners, kids, teenagers and others who use your sites on shared iPads, etc and love shopping sites with your saved card Info., handy to purchase with just a click on someone else’s card LOL !

Buyer beware!. I have scored some really great items and tickets and just all kinds of cool stuff from Groupon. In fact, I checked Groupon whenever I’m shopping for something just to make sure I don’t miss out on a good deal. Here’s the thing. Just make sure when you are in the market for something to read the fine print read some reviews. I even check with ChatGPT when doing some comparisons and at the end of the day use your own judgment otherwise you might end up with a situation that turns a overall good experience into a horrible memory. I did buy some knives from a company a few years back they had a video they looked very reputable. They were going on and on like an infomercial about how great these knives were, but when I got them, they came in a beautiful box and they were very sharp, but they were very cheap. The handles were made of plastic and overall the price was not bad, but I am not one to just throw money away on junk. ChatGPT not around then and I have learned a few things it’s been so overall it’s a great experience. Just be careful because some people are always out to just make a buck.

Amazing Deals. I absolutely love Groupon! I love the deals that are offered; they are unbelievable. The amount of money saved through Groupon is amazing enough as it is- but Groupon doesn’t stop there. More often than not they have deals on their deals! Constantly providing codes to save 20% off! Which puts even more money back in your pocket! Groupon is my go to when it comes to family night. Seriously, I always check this app first before planning anything lol! Not only are there so many choices to pick from, but it also has helped us try new things as a family. Which I appreciate, as the memories are nice to have. They are even better when I know I am getting an amazing deal! I have tried so many new things, activities, places, food, and I have even found new opportunities- that without Groupon I wouldn’t even know existed! I now have my medical billing and coding license. I am a certified hypnotherapist (mainly for my family and friends) who is held in rather high regard! I just began studying to take my real estate exam so that I can become a licensed real estate agent. All these things and so much more- and I can thank Groupon for showing me where to go to make that possible- and providing me with a deal to sweeten the deal lol.

Groupon has your back. I've been using Groupon for years. I've always had great experiences with local businesses honoring their Groupon. Recently, I had a very bad problem with a seller. They didn't honor what their groupon's fine print stated, they were making threats, yelling at me and following me to my car, etc. Overall, the worst experience I've ever had with any type of service. Groupon wasn't available to contact immediately because it was a Sunday evening when services were provided, but they were available at 6:30 am the next morning. I shared my experience and they quickly issued a full refund and escalated the concern to someone higher up. Thank you for trusting your customers and being a responsible business. I will continue to use Groupon only because the way they handled this issue. On a further note, I would highly suggest Groupon going back to having a phone support line (24 hours.) If I would have been able to contact Groupon at the time of the issue with the merchant, I feel like the seller wouldn't have started to act so extreme. At least Groupon would've been able to explain the fine print to the seller, and it would've been great to have a witness to how the seller was behaving.

Groupons for places that don’t exist. They have Groupons posted for places that are out of business, they won’t refund your cash, so your money it’s stuck in their system as “ Groupon Bucks” they also sell Groupons to businesses that do not honor them, their whole approach to it is, it’s ok, we let you use the Groupon bucks for anything else, and they never expire! But these practices are not ok. They provide a platform for businesses to get you on the hook but do not have any type of measures in place to protect their customers, and by the way, the Groupons to the “non existent “ businesses are still up and being offered. Even after they have been made aware that businesses are permanently closed. I believe that mistakes are made, and maybe they don’t have a way of ensuring the businesses are what they say they are ( which is very telling about where their priorities are, not take if care of customers) but once they are made aware of issues, the proper thing for a business would be to take the steps necessary to rectify the situation, in this case would be to remove the Groupon from the site. Bottom line, Groupon does not care about their customers, and do not check on anything they offer to make sure they are not placing customers in bad situations. And I’m this day and age, there are better and more reliable ways to get good deals.

Do or Buy as your heart desires - something for everyone. I have purchased many items and classes and never been disappointed. Well that isn’t true; on place neglected to let me know they were closed so our class was cancelled but want you to know they quickly redeemed themselves by resolving the matter and providing a little more. The items I purchased were typically sport team related and gifts and very good quality; well received. I did purchase some cables for my iPad and cell phones and they too were as described an gifts. Date nights with couples, friends or older grandchildren can always enjoy the glass blowing; we did ours at Tacoma Glass and we cannot speak high enough about the experience. Bought more as a result of the great time. There really is something for everyone and you may find yourself unable to get to the event as scheduled but the purchase price will go towards the original price so you are never out your money. I say go for it; shop to support local or try new experiences you cannot go wrong. When company comes to town I always check Groupon first to see what fun and exciting things we can do.

Been using Groupon for years. I have been a Groupon customer for years, mostly get local massage and food deals. I appreciate this service but do wish the business owners got to keep more of the proceeds. They are basically posting deals to get new customers and some have said it doesn’t often lead to long term repeat customers. In my case, I’m usually getting a Groupon for restaurants that I go to already but want to have some savings. Groupon is great for the consumer but it may not be the best investment for local businesses. I would be curious to know what the ROI and conversion rate metrics are for local business owners who offer sales on Groupon. Admittedly I have purchased a lot of massages but haven’t really stayed with one massage therapist. That lends to my mentality as a consumer, why would I pay 60 the second time when I could pay someone else to do something very similar for 30? Or even 25 on a sale day! This service is for deal hunters like me but by appearances does not seem to be extremely helpful to certain types of business owners. Which is why I tip well, at least to help them out. If I’m wrong about the benefit to business owners, I would love to know! Feeling a little gross about the reality of my shopping habits now that I’ve written this review so hopefully I’m mistaken and this platform is helpful in the long term for small business owners.

Some hidden gems. I’ve been using Groupon for years, so I do feel it’s a good place to find deals. It really helps local businesses promote themselves as well. I’ve scored some big ticket items for a fraction of the price. If you sign up for Groupon Select ($4.99/mo) you get an additional 25% off. With all the money I’ve saved it’s definitely worth it, even if I don’t buy something every month. Their refund policy is fair, and I’ve even been pleasantly surprised when deals I purchased expired, but were automatically renewed for a few more months. Now to explain the 4 star rating. Over the years A LOT of garbage has gotten into Groupon. Really crappy merchandise from God knows where. Many of these items have hundreds + bad reviews, but Groupon keeps them on the site. I’ve been the victim of the great pic/garbage product scam. Often times people write that they can’t get the ahold of the company’s customer service. Groupon definitely needs to regulate these merchants more heavily or customers are going to lose trust in the site. Also the influx of national chains advertising the same deal multiple times diminishes the ease of use. JC Penney must have 50 “Deals” (all the same but different cover pic) for portrait sessions. Shutterfly? You REALLY want to sell canvas portraits and photo albums. I won’t buy one just because I’m annoyed that it’s every 6th deal. Obviously this isn’t a make or break for me as far as using the site. This is just my opinion of Groupon as a consumer. Happy shopping!

Fan-freakin-tastic. I can’t believe I waited so long to download this app! There are so many great deals and I wish I’d have downloaded this app years ago!!!! I definitely recommend you read the reviews along with the fine print before completing any orders. The majority of sellers are legit and reasonable if you’re unsatisfied with your purchase or if it arrives damaged, but Ive ran into a few sellers (and im sure there are many more) that are just out for your money knowing that you are getting a pile of crap, and even make you give your first born just to get a refund, and they don’t feel theres a problem with it either. BUT for the most part, the majority of items or services on here are legit and it’s pretty easy to weed out the good from the bad just by reading the description AND I’d also recommend to read a few reviews on the particular item/service if you have and reservations or an offer just seems too good to be true, as I’m finding so many of them are true!! But still do a little research before you buy. Note: one item that I almost purchased was listen as the Naked eye pallet by urban decay, and the description looked good as far as I could see, but when it comes to cosmetics I’d double check the reviews because this one particular listing was undoubtedly a seller falsely advertising their product and taking advantage of whoever they could (not to say there’s not a legit listing on the pallet by another seller).

Customer Service non existent. While, I enjoy the deals that Groupon provides, being a user for many years the service has gone downhill, there is no chat or phone number to call for assistance or support anymore, the support link only goes through a list of FAQ with no option to talk to anyone, not even an option to email a process that is the worst of the worst when it comes to customer service and that usually takes 24 to 48, but at least you can communicate with someone. You used to be able to call someone a Groupon... this no longer exists, I hate chat support as well because it is frustrating but at least you can have some back-and-forth and get a resolution quickly… but Groupon doesn't to chat OR Email anymore for Customer Service or Support! When speaking to the businesses that I purchased Groupon with, not one business is 100% happy with Groupon each one of them tells me horror stories about trying to work with them… This business model could be amazing like it was 7+ years ago--but unfortunately, you have to purchase something and hope for the best, again. I love the service and I love the discounts… But I always feel like something could go wrong any second when I purchased something from them and I have no one to reach out to! It's like a gamble, like purchase at your own risk. Sadly, it makes me purchase less than I used to.!

Always a good deal. Even if I don't really need what I'm looking for I usually find something I didn't know I needed. It's become something both my husband I I troll at least once a week just for giggles and find something we want, buy and use. We have not yet bought any international travel groupons but a trip to Ireland is still a bucket list item. I'll re-rate if/when we do decide to travel abroad. I have purchased lodging accommodations for Pacific Grove. Was a good trip, the hotel was far better than pictured. (Bought tickets for the Monterey Bay Aquarium at a discount through the hotel, another plus but not groupon plus). A big suggestion is to research what is seasonally available for your destination before purchasing your groupon. We knew before buying that the butterflies were migrating elsewhere but the room was better than %50 off so we went and enjoyed out stay regardless. I have purchased items as well. It’s hit and miss for the actual product. Sometimes it’s exactly as advertised and once it was completely mislabeled. My only actual issue was buying bedding. When it arrived, there were two sets. I looked at my invoice and it said I’d ordered two. Looked at my Groupons, it said I’d ordered two as well. Obviously I did not pay close enough attention when I submitted my order, but in this case, Groupon would not allow me to return the second set. I had once before returned an item (when it was not as advertised) but the bedding was listed “no returns”. Just pay attention when ordering to the possibility that you may have to find happiness in what you receive, even though it wasn’t what you expected. I will continue to use groupon in the future. What’s life without adventure??

Michèle Galvin-White. Last week I ordered this same item and had to cancel. I wanted to check the items in my cart. I am fed up with your system of making it so difficult to change what’s in the cart. I had to cancel my credit card to be able to cancel my order. I clicked on buy because that was the only way to see the shipping charges!!! I want to be able to see the shipping charges before I commit to buying. I am also fed up with items being added to the cart if I look at them twice!!! When I wanted to cancel the sapphire sterling earrings I couldn’t. You’re dishonest crappy system wouldn’t let me take off both pairs of earrings. There is no zero!!! This is a very Shady and Dishonest “business practice” !!!!! You are stealing from me and others. Your idea is to make it difficult to cancel an order. Once it’s ordered you count on the customer not wanting to go through the hassle of getting their money back. That’s not going to happen with me because it is my money. Fix the checkout and allow everyone to review their order and make changes. I want to be able to see my order and then choose my form of payment!!! That is my right as a consumer. If it happens again and you charge my card without my permission again then I’ll be done with your shady ways and make sure that others know all about it. And Why can’t I order two of the same item in the same order have a choice of colors. That was ridiculous and another reason why I had to cancel my order. I shouldn’t have to cancel my credit card to change my order!!!!!!!!!!!

Very Unsatisfied.. I recently went on a trip to Illinois for vacation. While there I used Groupon a few times. Towards the end of my trip I attempted to make a purchase, however my app force closed on me. So I said ok lets try this again. I go back onto the app and it doesn't show my first attempt as processing or confirmed. So I go to make a second purchase for the same venue. For some reason my card was declined. I received two emails later that day that both purchases DID NOT go through. So I had my sister I was visiting make the purchase for me. For her everything went through fine and we went about our day at our venue. Two days later, I received an email that my card had been charged for TWICE for these two attempts. (I am on vacation so I'm not checking my email, otherwise id have fixed the problem then and there and asked for a refund.) Two days later after that, it says the purchases had gone through and processed on my side(my card). By this time I had already traveled home to Texas. So I give them an email asking for a refund, but they say no, because in their terms refund must be requested within 3 days of purchase. I explain all this, STILL NO. They ask if there is a reason I will not be able to use the vouchers, I explain they are for locations in Illinois and I am now home in Texas. STILL NO. Thank you for the previous good vouchers to venues. However you will no longer get my business, or my businesses business. And I will share my experience with those that ask.

Great idea, not so great value. As the age old saying goes, you really do get what you pay for. Now don’t get me wrong I’ve found quite a few great deals through Groupon but the majority of the deals that I have gone through and purchased in the goods section have turned out to be low quality , excuse my word selection but just plain junk that I found myself realizing I would have never purchased had it not been for the extremely great deal that Groupon had presented it to be. Now I am just speaking about the goods that I have purchased through Groupon ... not the deals that are for other things like tanning packages or for a day at the family fun center. Those all panned out to be great and definitely worth the money. Just pay more attention to the specific items ratings and reviews. Also I wish Groupon could add a shipping estimate into their prices that are advertised instead of adding shipping costs at the very end of the deals explanation almost as if it were just an afterthought. I know this is ultimately my fault but I have a bunch of groupons that I bought for personalized items that still have yet to be redeemed because I bought the deal before reading what the shipping costs would be. Some of the things that I purchased cost less than what the shipping is going to cost me. Again, I would have never bought those things if I would have done better research about the cost of shipping ... oh well you live and you learn and I guess if my deals do end up expiring I’ll have that money still to perhaps buy something else that either doesn’t require additional shipping costs or things that offer free or reasonable shipping fees.

Almost Perfect. I have been an avid fan of Groupon for years. Recently, I purchased two Groupons for massages near my home. I informed Groupon that the company went out of business. I requested a credit for the certificates. Groupon replied two weeks later with an email stating that my Groupons could not be redeemed. A couple days later I received an email that I had not used the certificates and had 24 hours to use the funds. I was working out of the country and had no time to meet the deadline. Thus, I lost the money I spent. Further, the certificates are still in My Groupon, stating I haven’t lost what I paid, I may use those funds to purchase from the vendor that is not in business. This practice doesn’t seem fair or honest. Yes, I continue to purchase from Groupon but on a limited basis and most often hard goods. BTW...this is not the first time a business has closed after I purchased a certificate. Groupon collected the funds, never paid the vendor as the certificates were not redeemed, knows the vendor is not in business and wasn’t in business for weeks before my Groupon expired and refused to give me an account credit. These actions amounts to fraud.

Almost fed up. They have some good deals sometimes but they need to work on some things. In 1 previous order, my item never arrived although it said “delivered “. I sent a couple of emails about it & even posted a negative review about it & never heard back from anyone. When I finally located a phone number, I was told no one was available to take my call for a couple of days, then I finally got a menu that listed an option for a representative, but 3 times when I chose that option, the phone system just kicked me out. Finally got a live person on 4th try! Another order for some plants I ordered, they were dried out & sickly when I received them. Planted them & tried to save but couldn’t. Tried to get an exchange/refund to order some different plants & was told I would have to dig the dead stalks back up, repackage & send back! Like it was worth my time for that! Another order I ordered a couple of magazine subscriptions. One of the magazines I have only received twice. The other magazine I have not received any issues yet- but, coincidentally, I started receiving another magazine that I have no interest in. This order I placed, there’s a technical issue online so I couldn’t enter & save new payment info. You have some awesome deals sometimes but really need to invest in some customer service because if there’s any problems with this order, I’m ready to say so long to Groupon

Customer Service is NO HELP. I am in need of Groupon customer service due to an order (mask) from Groupons that has yet to be delivered ! It has been almost 2 weeks since the order was placed AND that order was marked as “shipped” and “in transit” at the time of this writing. That status has been the same status for 11 days now and the item is coming from California! Tired of waiting, I want to cancel the order and have my money refunded or give a an opinion to use it to purchase something else. The problem is there are NO OPTIONS via the App to cancel the order OR to contact Groupon Customer Service for assistance. I Can’t get even get in touch with a live Groupon Customer Service person. I never found a phone number to utilize. I know that Corona situation has everything in an uproar but it shouldn’t take 14 days for an item to be delivered . And according to the comments on Groupons about this specific item, servers people are in the same boat as me; they simply haven’t received their product and there is NO way to cancel order or request a refund via APP while the order is “in transit”. Groupons USED to be GREAT !!! No problems . NOW, I’ve encountered three (3) problems during the past three weeks and customer service is unavailable and unacceptable during this time . I’ve been able to get in contact with customer service reps at BANKS, Cable company and others, who have employees furloughed at Home but GROUPON has clearly dropped the ball .

To good to be true. I got this app because my friend was telling me about it and she loved it. I was skeptical at first because the app seems way to good to be true especially when it comes to the deals regarding going places like bowling, restaurants or hotels. I got it anyways and I tried it out. I loved it at first it was going so well. Then a few weeks later I had ordered a groupon for Denny’s and when I went to use it, it was saying it had already been redeemed but it was not. It wouldn’t be on my screen as useable if it was. Trying to contact Groupon was such a hassle because there is no number to call. You need to wait for emails which doesn’t help your problem immediately like most other places. When I finally got in contact with someone and told them my issue, they figured out it was their mistake but instead of giving me the money I needed to spend because the groupon didn’t work, giving me the money of the groupon back or simply reissuing a new Groupon for the same thing, they gave me a groupon credit which after that I didn’t want to use it anymore. I ended up seeing these bracelets from monogram hub that I wanted to get my cousins so I purchased 2 groupons and when I went to order the bracelets the groupon codes were never there therefore it wasn’t working. Again I needed to contact someone and again it took about a week. It just seems as if this app doesn’t really care what happens to the customers as long as they’re making their money. This app needs to be fixed and a number needs to be set up in case of issues.

Fingerless gloves. I have carpal tunnel and ordered 2 different types of fingerless gloves. I was charged for 2 types of fingerless gloves that were Totally Different than those I ordered and the pics originally that came up when I went to purchase them. What do they send - substitutes? I don’t want substitutes. The first pair I got was made so cheaply you could probably buy in the $1 store. Awful. I threw them in my garbage. The second pair was supposed to be furry fingerless also. They were furry but with an open flap that all your fingers come out at once - a mitten style. This was not anywhere in the description. I can’t use these. I ordered many things in the past through Groupon in every area. I never had a problem. I went through the text to agents and was not satisfied with their answers. They were vague and not corrected. What was I charged so far and what am I still to get? These gloves they sent are not acceptable and I should get refunds for both. If you can’t send me What I Ordered then don’t send me anything and credit my account. Hope your company is not going downhill. There are now a lot more of these companies that are your competitors. If you don’t do the right thing today for a loyal customer I will be changing to a different company and so will other peeps. And I know I have a $15 coupon to use. I hope it won’t expire. Please advise On this text site. I no longer have an email set up at this time Jane Abbene E Northport NY

Poor business service!!. My experience with Groupon has been quite frustrating. As a business owner, I expected more control over my discount offerings and quicker responses to my inquiries, but unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. One of the biggest issues I've faced is the requirement to get approval from an "account manager" just to change the discount percentage on my deals. This process is slow and cumbersome, often taking several days for a response to my emails. Even their 24/7 chat support couldn't help much—they could only redirect me back to my account manager for any changes. As a business owner, flexibility in setting discounts is crucial. Initially, I offered a 40% discount to attract customers, which was manageable for my business. However, when I tried to adjust this percentage later on, my account manager refused to accommodate the change, despite my explanations and requests. I have emails proving this frustrating back-and-forth. Adding to the frustration is the long wait times for responses. Waiting 24 to 48 hours for a simple answer is simply not acceptable in today's business environment. In summary, Groupon's customer service policies need serious improvement. Business owners should have more control over their promotions without such bureaucratic delays. Until these issues are resolved, I cannot recommend Groupon as a reliable platform for businesses looking to manage their deals effectively.

Bettys hair salon. A few months ago I purchased a Groupon for Betty’s Hair Salon in San Antonio. When I called to make an appointment I was given a run around. First I was told she had no appointments after I told her it was a Groupon. I called her about three weeks before the expiration date. I told her I did not work so I could come anytime. I can’t believe if she is using Groupon to get business that she could be booked up. A few days later I called again hoping to getSomeone to help me. At that time I was told that I had to submit a photo of myself with my hair showing because she usually charges a surcharge on top of the Groupon cost to her clients because they have too much hair. I told her my hair was thin and Shoulderlength I sent her a picture and she replied that she would have to charge me a surcharge to be determined at my appointment. I asked her if she had any appointments in the next few weeks to which she replied yes she did. Due to the runaround I received by Betty of Betty’s hair salon in San Antonio and her lack of integrity in conducting her business I refused to go and pay her more money however I am still out the cost of the Groupon which I am not happy about and would like to see what could be done about the situation. I have to tell you that I am one on a limited income and twoVery discouraged buy this business being so unethical and I lost my money in the Groupon and I am not happy about it to this day.

Needs improvement. Though I do enjoy Groupon and have spent thousands over the years with Groupon, they are in need of improvement. One issue I have is returning a Groupon. It is ridiculously inconvenient and beyond frustrating to try to return or exchange a Groupon. Instead of getting Groupon bucks, which seems to be a more logical and fair thing to do, Groupon only allows you to purchase another Groupon in only a certain area, i.e. “a local deal”, etc. and within a short period of time. It is a complicated system and I lose more money through Groupon, and I am beginning to expect it was designed that way. People do not want to deal with such hassle so I assume most people would simply forget about it. Which I have done in the past because I don’t feel like dealing with only 24 hours to search for local deals. Not only that, but most local deals in my area are the same old thing that we always see advertised in a Groupon. Little variation. And I don’t want to redo those things again and No, I don’t want another massage! So it is very limiting. I have had much frustration over this one issue. Also, with all the times I have had to speak to Groupon, those who answer the line have accents so thick I can hardly understand them. And though a few of the staff have been friendly and professional, I have dealt with quite the opposite most of the time.

Why I love Groupon!. I don’t LOVE Groupon just because of the unbelievable local discounts from medical and dental procedures to family activities, live entertainment and more… Nor is it just because the website is easily navigated and the customer service is amazing. The best thing about GROUPON is the convenience and transparency they offer. I LOVE the fact that If I change my mind or have to reschedule, I have the option to trade my Groupon for a different Groupon at no extra cost. And, if I don’t redeem my Groupon before it’s expiration date, the amount I spent on my Groupon can still be used towards the regular purchase price. It’s really a win-win situation. Groupon makes it simple for the consumer to purchase or trade their Groupon’s directly on their website. There aren't extra forms to submit, verification delays, member limitations, penalty charges or hidden fees. More importantly Groupon doesn’t waste my time requiring me to follow up with anything after the initial registration. Redeeming my Groupons with merchants has never been a problem. The merchants are welcoming and have never treated me any different than the way they treat their other customers who pay full price. It’s always been a comfortable, positive experience and having redeemed over 100 Groupons I can honestly say I’ve never had one issue, ever! Groupon is a fair, honest, no-hassle company that provides me, my friends and family with unbeatable discounts on a variety of our favorite things. When I see or hear the word “Groupon” it always brings a smile to my face!

I would rate 0 star if I could. First of all I want to say, Groupon doesn’t really care about their customers. I’ve never left a bad review but here you go Groupon you can have this one. I purchased a massage voucher in February, and then made an appointment with the owner in May, because of covid-19, the owner had decided to permanently close the business in April. She sent an email to all customers saying if people purchased voucher from Groupon, she had already notified Groupon that they have gone out of business and people who purchased voucher should get a refund (that’s how Groupon told her!). So I contacted Groupon and asked for a refund. Guess what, it took me nearly an hour to finally chat with a real person because Groupon hides the chat feature, they doesn't want anyone to chat with them or contact them for refund. I tried to email them twice, all I got is I can get a Groupon bucks, but I don’t want credit, I just want money refund! Long story short, the customer service kept saying they can extend my voucher so I can use after covid-19, I said no their business is permanently closed I can’t go anymore. They just don’t understand. At the end, they still offered me the dang Groupon bucks so I had to open the not user friendly app again to find whatever deals that I can spend all my credit. If I could give the company 0 star I would, because Groupon doesn’t really care what customers want, once they sell you a voucher it’s not their business anymore.

Height of customer satisfaction. I never really write reviews but when the notification popped up on the app I couldn’t help myself. I’ve been using Groupon for YEARS and have never had an issue with the app or company itself. I get to try out a range of services at a great price, and try out businesses in my area that I never would’ve thought to before. If I’ve ever had an issue with scheduling or not being able to use a voucher on time, the customer support staff is always able to help me out. Of course, there are little things here and there that are typical with any large company that can be less than ideal, like wait times to speak to a customer service rep for example, or the occasional issue with vendors on the app, but these little inconvenience are far outshined by Groupons true dedication to customer satisfaction. I really can’t say enough positive things! I get funny looks from my friends sometimes when I tell them I use Groupon because it seems like such a mom app lol, but I highly highly recommend it for my girlies who are looking for a go-to spot for hair/nail/lash services but aren’t ready to invest a whole lot of money without testing the quality first. It’s really a great resource!!

Groupon — Pros and Cons!. I like to try various businesses, thinking of future possibilities with each choice. I’ve found several wonderful places that I wouldn’t have known about without Groupon! My very favorites include Me Spa, Soleil Med Spa, window washers and handymen. Also, we found awesome house cleaning people and fun activities we tried and loved. However...our ONLY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE with a Groupon was with a company named Deep Clean Carpet Cleaning. i.e. He rescheduled twice, came to my home for a mere 35 minutes and then left. The carpets were not very wet, and when dry, they looked horrible, with missed sections, spots not taken out, etc. We called him (Steve) immediately when the rugs were “dry”(barely wet at all in many places). We explained the need for him to come back to redo those places. He agreed to come two days later, but did not come—or even call back. After that, we never heard from him again. We left 7-8 messages. Wasted money! We then got a referral from our daughter, who’s used this person many times. His name is Jordan. (Referral available for him upon request. Just PM me). He was friendly, professional, and genuine in giving us info about his experience and technique. He showed us a picture (swatch) of the before and after the two cleanings. The difference was VERY telling. The before and after was almost scary! To those looking for carpet cleaners, we advise you to NEVER hire Deep Clean Carpet Cleaners! There are several negative reviews about Steve’s work and customer issues , as well as positives ones also, in different places online. I really regret not first checking the info before hiring him!

Many Good Food Offerings to Choose From. I’ve used GROUPON for several years but the only problem I repeatedly have is when you’re allowed to purchase 1 restaurant offer for yourself AND one as a GIFT for someone. It doesn’t say you need to do it in the same ORIGINAL Groupon purchase. Example: On July 19, 2021 I purchased a regular GROUPON for myself to use at Lellis Restaurant in Auburn Hills. At that time I didn’t have anyone in mind to send a Lellis Gift too. However, I checked on my GROUPON ACCOUNT on August 17th to go in and purchase an allowable GIFT GROUPON for someone AND as soon as I pulled up LELLIS it kicked me right out as having already having purchased my ALLOTTED GROUPON and I was not able to cash in on sending my friend the ALLOWABLE GIFT GROUPON as described on the Restaurant Site obligations at all! So I’ll probably have to wait the 90 days and then order one that is supposedly allowed ??? Well it sure didn’t work fir me. This is not the first time this has occurred either… so some EXTRA DETAILS need further explanation on the GROUPON SITE and these changes are definitely needed ASAP otherwise you’re going to have several IRATE CUSTOMERS WHO JUST MAY DECIDE USING GROUPON IS A BIG CONFUSING PIA. In general, they are pretty user friendly but DEFINITELY NOT IN THIS CASE!

Great Deals! Bad Discounts!. I’ve been using Groupon for about 7 years now. They have a lot of great deals. I really appreciate the amount of local service deals I find. The biggest downside is the additional discounts they offer. Today, I saw a discount for an additional 25% off health and wellness deals. When I went to check out, no discount. I clicked on the banner for details and I got sent to spas, but no details on the discount. I went on chat to customer service. I found out they were offering discounts that are only on certain items as if they are on everything in health and wellness. I find it incredibly misleading and time consuming. You can trust their deals but not their discounts. The upside is that they have “okay” customer service. I got an $8 credit on what would have been a $20 discount, so I decreased my order. It took about 70 minutes to negotiate that discount. They made about $10 less after the credit. They are a bit shameless about how misleading their discounts are. I am less likely to fall for that again, but I feel a bit like Pavlov‘s dog. After deleting a couple of items, it came out to about 15%. Not bad, but not good, just okay. Still I got a replacement discount in the form of a credit. Maybe I’ll remember that their discounts aren’t really a discount, lol. Or maybe I’ll get bit again...

Zero stars. I had a very disappointing experience with Groupon and their customer service. I live in Chicago and booked a stay at Great Wolf Lodge for my son’s 6th birthday. Because Groupon uses phone location, I believed I was booking the Gurnee, IL location. We drove an hour and a half to Gurnee to check in, only to be told that our reservation was not in their system. Upon reviewing the Groupon more closely, it showed—very small at the bottom—that the booking was actually for the Minnesota location. I immediately contacted Groupon customer service to explain the situation and let them know that I still intended to stay at Great Wolf Lodge, just at the correct location. I was told the booking was outside the refund window and that I should have read the details more carefully. I then contacted Great Wolf Lodge directly. They were understanding and informed me they were willing to approve the refund, but that Groupon needed to email them to initiate it. I relayed this information to Groupon, and since then it has been two days with no response. Mistakes happen, especially when booking through a location-based app. What has been most disappointing is the lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to assist, even when the merchant was prepared to approve a resolution. This experience has made me hesitant to use Groupon again, and I hope this review helps others double-check location details before booking

GranJo55. I've been ordering from Groupon for about 4-41/2yrs. So far I've been perfectly happy with everything l have ordered, both the service and the quality of the items and or services. Admittedly I've always been very paranoid about being scammed online and very slow to start trusting online companies so I tend to read every single word of every description! It drives my husband crazy because I'll read, reread then mull it over for hours sometimes days before I finally decide to make my purchases. And if it comes to a place I've never heard of I always check for reviews outside of Groupon before dealing with them. But it seems to have paid off because I'm happy with everything I've gotten so far. I've gotten gifts for my kids and grandkids, household items, clothing and my husband and I used 3 different offers for hotels and services to book a dream road trip through the central Texas hill country during summer of 2017! (So glad we got to go when we did, to see this beautiful part of Texas before Harvey messed up so much down there!) Our stay at El Tropicana in San Antonio on the river walk, a great package for a full day and food package at Sea World San Antonio, and a stay at the Omni West in Houston were all phenomenal experiences that we wouldn't have had without Groupon, but will definitely strive to repeat!

10+ YEARS OF FUN, FINDS, & SAVINGS!. I have been a Groupon customer for well over 10 years. Throughout my time shopping with them I have experienced so many fun outings at prices that I can afford to not just take myself but friends and family. amazing deals on jewelry, electronics, and so much more! Groupon is my “go to” for Christmas shopping every year and at least half the people I get presents for asked me how I could afford such a wonderful gift and all I have to say is get on Groupon! their customer service is amazing I’ve never had any issues not be resolved within a matter of moments, and the representatives are always polite, professional, and empathetic. Their prices more times than not even be out there competitor, shall we say the “rain forest” store site? And we all know that the competitor doesn’t offer amazing things to do both when I’m in town or traveling! Groupon is everywhere I am, with hundreds of experiences to have fun! I have been with Groupon going as far back as when you had to print out your gift certificate and take it to the store, but now with this app all I have to do is just show them my phone and they slide it to show I used it it’s just that simple! they’ve connected me with lifelong merchants and places to go that I never would’ve even known existed if it hadn’t been for Groupon. so thank you Groupon for all that you’ve done for me and my family over the last 10+ years!

Review. Me and my husband have used Groupon on and off for about 3 years but we recently started relying on Groupon for the last year after getting married ...... if we take a trip first place we check is Groupon...you offer ridiculously unbelievable prices. in our most recent trip we wanted to stay an extra day and asked what the charge would be. The same amount we payed for the 3 days is what one extra day would cost! need something that we can’t really find?.....GROUPON has it. The variation of the same thing is what I like as well...... I’m the type of woman who loves a certain item and needs it in absolutely every color. The only thing that I,as a customer, found a little difficult is that when you do book a trip and you accidentally made an error you cannot go back and change it..... our fault but I believe that if you are able to catch it right then and there you should be able to fix it. None the less, THANK YOU Groupon you guys are the best!!! Thanks for making trips actually happen for me and my husband. Growing up sheltered, it’s nice to finally be able to do it not only because I’m married but because of your amazing deals! Being financially savvy is the way to enjoy vacations and get aways! I can’t thank you guys enough!

Not very trustworthy. My husband and I both LOVED buying from Groupon & we purchased items frequently UNTIL I noticed an unauthorized charge on my account last year. I added some items to my cart but I DID NOT purchase them because I needed to check sizes first. A few days passed & I received an email that my order was shipped. Again, I had not completed my purchase yet. I tried MANY times to reach a representative of Groupon after my emails were returned with a generic reply from the company. There was absolutely no way Groupon was making a real person available to speak to to resolve this matter. Lucky for them, I had a lengthy family illness to tend to that consumed my life for a while, otherwise, I would’ve pursued it ‘till my death. Soon after this incident occurred, my mother informed me the spa gift card I purchased for her (from Groupon) refused to honor it. They informed her that they will not do business with Groupon anymore. Hmmm...I can’t say I was surprised. I’m disappointed that we have invested SO MUCH of our hard earned money into THIS company that could’ve really been amazing. However, when you compromise with questionable business practices, making unauthorized charges to credit cards, begin switching quality products with subpar Chinese made junk & become suddenly unavailable to provide customer service to your customers, people start noticing. My advice: if you choose to do business with Groupon, DO NOT store your credit card on their site. Remove it if you have stored it for purchases AND double check to make sure it was indeed removed.

Sometimes good. Sometimes not.. There have been a few times I’ve had positive experiences where the company items were quality and the check out was easy. More recently it’s been a struggle. I ordered two cases of wine only to click on the fine print to find out that they don’t ship to my state. Then I tried to cancel the order and ended up not seeing that the default option was to credit my Groupon account...after I clicked the save option. Then i couldn’t get ahold of customer service. The app kept booting me back to the item page instead to customer service. I tried to call two different phone numbers that I googled and both said they don’t have phone attendants. THEN I got back on the app and tried to reach customer service a different way and I was successful. However, when I typed in my message to the attendant, the send option was greyed out until the attendant ended the encounter. She ended up getting back on and had to forward my problem to another tier. Who knows when I’ll get a refund. What should’ve taken me two minutes ended up consuming about an hour with no product, $100 in the hole, and I still don’t have an answer about my refund. Recently also received a personalized puzzle that was nearly impossible to put together because every piece is the same shape. They all fit together. My 9 year old was frustrated with it and threw it away.

Just purchased curtains. Although, I haven’t even seen them yet, I’m still worried about the quality , but I specifically chose it for a certain room but now, if that is going to stop light from coming in completely, I just may choose a different room for these. I always look for more different stuff and sometimes even hope for the best deal of the day on something I would really want , I hope other genders come into your site to sell their products because it would be nice to see changes of different things, not just changing between the 4 seasons. I recently purchased the angry supplements and I’m afraid to say , they give me heartburn so badly, and I’m belching the tumeric and ginger. Although it may be amazing for someone else, they are not for me. I just don’t ever want to do business with companies that are NOT in the USA only because I have had a terrible experience with dealing with them and what they show you is definitely NOT what your getting, cheap scratchy material ect anyway I’m so looking forward to these new curtains in my home ! I’m very excited and can not wait thank you Groupon !!! Once in a while it also would be nice to send a 5 dollar off coupon to all your email member that bought for appreciation day just bought from a local retailer, and I’m happy to see that here and of course,,,,, my new year pair of slippers!!!!!!! For sure ! Muk luk can’t beat it !!!!

Groupon review. I love the fabulous deals that I get especially with beauty treatments!I get to try all the new salons and beauty treatments for a price that I can afford , and it’s so much fun to find new places to go and the best professionals to help make the experience first class . I have found professionals in many areas and I have been a loyal customer to Groupon and to the professionals that offer their services. I definitely recommend using the Groupon app wherever you are . In your home town, and neighboring towns that you’d like to visit. I also use it away on vacation for special pampering treatments , that I would normally not be able to do gor myself , for the normal price without my Groupon. Everyone that is smart and wants the best for the best price is grouponing! Also , definately worth being a Groupon select member! It allows me to get special codes and deals on the already lowest prices and you can earn Groupon bucks by getting all you family and friends to use Groupon to help them save money and have amazing experiences as well . Groupon is a great for kid fun, family time , date night, girls night out , mom/me time , new adventure times, new culinary experiences and time away or full out vacations ! Use it everyday wherever you go ! Wendi Warfield

Love thieves? You’ll love Groupon. I’m trying to warn anyone I possibly can about this company. After using Groupon for years with no issue, last month, I purchased a voucher for an oil change. When scanned by the merchant, the voucher was “redeemed” BUT I was told it held no monetary value. So I ended up paying full price at the merchant. That itself could’ve been forgiven had Groupon not outsourced all of their customer service to either an AI bot that isn’t helpful or a poor individual in a 3rd world country that isn’t helpful. They do not have a phone line you can use and the chat support only works about 10% of the time. When you do finally get ahold of a human, they tell you they’ll look into your problem but that’s all they can do. For 3 weeks now, I have been told I would receive a response from them within 48 hours. I have nearly a dozen people “looking into” my problem and yet not a single one has been able to figure out a solution. I even filed a complaint with the BBB and Groupon fraudulently closed the casing stating that they would follow up. In the end, I have filed a chargeback with my bank since Groupon is not going to hold up their end of the deal. So if you want a company that has absolutely no working customer service, steals nearly $100 from you, and lies to your face over and over and over, you’ll definitely want to use Groupon.

Long time Groupon fans but…. we have made many purchases ranging from overnight stays to dining to personal services and products. overall we are pretty satisfied or we would not continue to purchase coupons. But some notes of caution – 1. some vendors substantially jack up the value price of the coupon to make the Groupon deal look better. 2. be aware of what the description does not tell you as well as what is included – for example the availability and cost of parking – we just paid $25 for parking in order to attend an event with a price tag of $19 per person. 3. linens and towels may not be as represented – I. E. Soft and luxurious as advertised or color not accurately reflected in the ad. make sure you know the depth of your mattress since some of the sheets are not deep enough for your mattresses, and whether you have a king or Cal King because they use different size sheets. 4. for cosmetic medical services, do some homework to learn how much of a product you will probably actually need. Typically the amount sold on a deal is not enough and you will need to purchase more, at the facility's going rate. 4. fine dining- be prepared for a 20% tip automatically added on to their "retail" value , & $25/bottle corkage if you bring your own wine –– also be aware that some of the certificates have a special limited menu from which you must choose your selections.

Purchase on Groupon. My purchases have mostly been good. I had one incident a few years ago. I paid for 3 sessions of house cleaning, paid about $115. It took several weeks to get in contact with the seller then it was several weeks before she could book me an appointment. I wanted to book all three appointments & she wouldn’t. She said I could book the next appointment when she came the first time. No one showed up for my first cleaning. After several attempts she finally answered my call & said the lady she had scheduled had car trouble or something. I said a phone call to me would have been appreciated. I took off work to be home. Rescheduled appointment, about 2 weeks out this time. Again no one showed & I had someone there to meet up. Again several attempts to contact when she did answer the lady’s child was sick 🙄. Seriously?! Again a phone would have been appreciated. She wouldn’t book another appointment, said she’d get back to me. She never did. A few months later, we were preparing to move out of Tulsa area so I thought great I’ll get “her” to come clean while I’m packing . Called multiple times & left messages. Never got a call back. Then her number was no longer working. 😩 So I threw that $115 to the wind! Contacted Groupon & it had been over a year at this point so they “couldn’t” refund my money 🤷🏼‍♀️

Groupon stole my money. I was searching for tickets to go to Orlando horror nights. I googled "Orlando, fl Halloween Horror nights discount". A link to groupon came out and promoted me to pick a date and pay. We did just that and after we bought the tickets, in very small print, it stated it was for Hollywood California not Orlando. Being that we don't even live in California and hadn't used the tickets at that point, we tried asking if we can get a refund. We were even willing to trade the tickets to the Orlando ones who were also being sold on their app. They were a bit more expensive but we were willing to pay the extra and still buy them from Groupon. After three days of communicating with anybody we could, finally hear from the manager saying they can't refund us bc I'm very tiny print it states "no refunds". Considering that they took us to the wrong site when we looked for Orlando discounts and considering the fact we don't live in California, I feel Groupon could have helped us and should have helped us if they wanted to. It's also important to state that two different customer service representative told me straight out that that mistake has happened multiply times. These customer service representatives also started that they were confident the manager would be willing to help us. They closed still not to refund our money. They apparently can't survive without my $300 they tricked us into giving them. I will never ever use Groupon again.

Buying Nioxin. I bought 3 before. Love the lift. I just ordered 6 and I pray I get it because I never had problems receiving like others 6 cans hope they are all good. I tried returning a few things never got exactly what I paid for refund. I left 3 emails and no one returned my message. I been a chat that’s the worst she just tells me what they decide to give me. Now I’ll only buy it I know it’s the best. If I get crushed cans and have any other issues. I spent so much money on Nioxin with Groupon every shampoo, conditioner large bottles every one was receiving either no bottles or damage stuff. I bought at least 300 dollars of different types of shampoo & conditioner than the small traveling kits I think 4 and 6 I will have for a long time. I was losing hair. It regrew me hair in like one month I really started to notice. Stress will do that and my eye sight. So don’t stress. If anything goes wrong on this order bc I never got Groupon bucks or anything from them. They couldn’t get my refund right because they put the price lower on the floppy big hats Witt no adjustments for smaller head. Be careful bc I didn’t expect to lose more money. I understand I can’t get my shipping back. That’s not the only thing another cap and a massage I made before Covid and I got nothing near I paid for it. So people make sure you really want it. I was nice to give a review on first return and then I paid for that. I better get my stuff in perfect condition. I have faith never had a problem if so you’ll be telling me to shut up! Lol God please 🙏 I don’t need anymore stress just paid $32 y’all please send my stuff! Be safe all love Nancy 👏✌️

Don’t buy objects from here!!!!. Worse than wish. I’ve bought hair extensions and clothes from this app. The ‘blonde’ hair extensions were orange and unwearable. I’ve so far bought 6 items of clothing from Global Direct & Sensual Sale. Every single piece of clothing I’ve received has been absolutely worst quality and completely unwearable. I do not recommend buying items off here at all!!!!!! The only worthwhile deals are the restaurant and services 1 and even those can be a bit touch and go. Had mostly good experiences with restaurants though - make sure you read reviews first before any purchase!!! Also beware as there is no customer protection. The most you will get is a refund via Groupon credits - not even to your card!! Or in my case, an extremely small partial refund for clothes I can’t even wear 😡

Groupon took my money and provided zero customer service. I am extremely disappointed with Groupon’s customer service. I purchased a $300 voucher as a gift for my sister, which expired while she was overseas. Despite reaching out for help and even getting confirmation from the restaurant that they were willing to honor the voucher, Groupon has been completely unhelpful. Their response has been pathetic, with no timely email replies, and they’ve refused to extend or even offer credit to use the amount elsewhere. It feels like Groupon has taken our money and kept it, passing nothing on to the restaurant, leaving us unable to use a very expensive voucher. I expected much better service for such a significant purchase, but instead, Groupon has provided none. I won’t be purchasing from them again.

Communication isn’t great. I don’t even know where to start, but I am far less than impressed at the poor communication by Groupon, from the perspective of lack of note taking and recording their end, or possibly staff with a lack of attention to detail. I have now ordered the same product three times, after one issue that turns out to be an app vs website glitch, followed by a random credit of the product (aka ‘refund’ by Groupon) with no explanation, and although being civil, had an online conversation cancelled. There’s so much more to this, but once this product is sorted I don’t think I’ll be back. Oh, and when I investigated with the supplier, turns out they sell the product direct to the public for the same ‘discounted’ price that Groupon do. Unhappy.

Terrible response to complaints. Made a complaint to groupon about the service of a restaurant we paid for. However the response from Groupon only focused on the “merchant” (the restaurant’s) point of view and did not acknowledge our experience. This was our first time using Groupon and it has been a terrible experience. We got a response from Groupon that we should have handled the complaint at the restaurant on the day. Our complaint was about wait issues at the restaurant, how do you expect me to wait for someone to attend my complaint when they are not even serving food. A ridiculous complaint resolution team and we are extremely upset with the response. Will deter any family or friends from using it!

Easy to use on the go. Needed some entertainment on a long car trip and so enjoyed my shopping spree on the Groupon App. Would've liked a "Wish List" to store my short list choices. It will also be greatly improved when you can place multiple choices from different vendors in 1 basket. The screens are really well laid out and simple to scroll forwards and backwards. Edit update: they now have a wish list (saved deals) well done Groupon 👏👏 an excellent platform

App Suggestions. I've used groupon mainly on a browser but decided to download the app for convenience. It's somehow less convenient? 👀 I would suggest; 1 - show the number of stars a place or product has as well as how many people rated (this is shown on the website when you're browsing but not on the app), you have to actually click into the deal to see the rating 🙄 2 - have a save deal option, kind of like saved links or posts on Facebook or Instagram where I can save the deal to look at or buy later. This is useful when I wanna compare multiple deals or want to wait til payday to dish out the dosh 💸

Groupon regular. Love the deals but wish for a longer expiring date on the meal deals, especially so when one is often away. I wish that one can make a varied purchase on an order i.e. an order is not restricted to just on color and size when more than one unit is purchased, thereby saving postage costs. Eg I would have liked to buy a single bed sheet set in blue and a queen sheet set in white. However the setting is such that I can only buy 2 of the same color and size. This means I have to make 2 separate orders and pay ($9.95) for each order.

Bad products. This is probably one of the worst site!! We paid for a voucher for lunch on Christmas Eve and on the day when we got to the place. The place was close! And it’s taken them weeks and weeks to refund the money and is such a hassle. We also bought a smoker as well and the assembly instruction was shocking you couldn’t understand anything. The quality of the product is horrible, I reckon if I bought something similar from a $2 store it would have been a better product. We wish to return the product and it’s been 2 months they still can’t get refund me the money or take the smoker away it’s just taking up space. Every time I try to contact Groupon they keep palming me off to someone else and one person tell us one thing and the other person tell us an other thing and nothing was sorted. If you want to buy anything from here you probably have a better luck get a 10 year old to build it for you.

Easy Peasy. I’ve been a Groupon Customer for a few years now and will be for much longer. You can find a lot of unexpected bargains, some you didn’t even know you needed, hehe. Besides the great prices, there are often special discounts which bring the cost down even lower. The behind the scene service is also excellent, in the event of needing to return something or you’re not happy with the deal provider, Groupon go in to bat for you. I really cannot fault Groupon.

Worst possible Customer Seevice. I had the misfortune of speaking with Shine J and Thariff M who were deliberately antagonist throughout my whole ‘Live Chat’ conversation with them via the app. They didn’t solve my simple problem of which I had to explain several times, were rude through constant repetition, refusing to listen, and I got the feeling they were thoroughly enjoying winding me up. Worst customer experience I’ve honestly ever had, apparently my complaint at the time has been escalated but I doubt I’ll hear back from the manager in 24 hours as promised. Simply awful to the point of being offensive. I only gave 1 star because I had to. Very, very poor.

Love it! Great deals, often further discounts offered. I’ve been using Groupon for over 5 years now. I used it when I first wanted to try to get a facial and google lead me to Groupon. Just because they’re discounted, doesn’t mean they’re not good. The exact opposite!! I have never had a bad facial or eyelash extension experience or massage. My skin has been in the best condition ever since I had that first facial with a skin analysis. Get a SKIN ANALYSIS!! It’s important to find out what your skin type is. I personally cannot use items with fragrance and drying alcohol as I found out I have rosacea and dry skin. None of them have ever steered me wrong :)

Easy Bargains. I generally access Groupon via my iPhone. The App is very easy to use and it’s also very easy to navigate your way around the different tabs and categories. I have made several purchases through Groupon and and pleased with both products and services that I have received. Just tonight I purchased an accommodation voucher and made the booking for use in four days time. So as well as being easy you do not have to book months in advance. Great App, Website and Company.

Used 3 times & love it. I have just found this app & I love the actual discounts. This is a great way to try new places to eat & the discounts are far better than I first thought they would be. This is a great idea & the app is so easy to use & receiving receipts & confirmation of the booked coupon very quickly is great. I was a bit nervous paying for the voucher online as I was worried the place would reject it for some reason or have so many conditions that it would be invalid on the day I go to use it or time. But the ones I’ve used so far have been good & simple, very well laid out conditions.

Chantal. Excellent, high quality services & products across a diverse range of goods and services. Great value, mostly approximately 50% or more off usual RRP, without compromise on quality at all. I highly recommend Groupon to everyone, and I’m confident when I say there are deals on Services with great breadth, making Groupon relatable for all, catering to any gender and all age groups! Plus the offerings are frequently updated, providing new Services and Products of interest at genuinely great prices. Even better: the majority of Services on offer are tailor-made selections, convenient to each user’s local area. Can’t go wrong with Groupon! 😊🌸💚👌🏻

98% product satisfaction. My go to when stuck I was always confident I would receive a high quality product I bought our honeymoon through Groupon! however the last 2 purchases the quality was below the standards you expect and are used to with Groupon Otherwise Group On once upon a time had so many diverse products barely any electronics now eg kids cameras I SAY BOO TO THAT!

Terrible Experience Not Worth Going Thru IMO. Bought 9 vouchers from this app costing me $140+. A day or so later, I got denied access to my account. Upon speaking to customer service, I was told that my account has been detected under suspicious activity. Hence, they cancelled all my vouchers and will refund to me those that were charged. Yes, seems a ball in the park. But problem is, instead of saving thru the use of this app, I’m now left with 1) additional costs, 2) no vouchers, 3) painful accounting, 4) inconvenience and 5) dissatisfaction. I used my local bank’s (outside AUS) credit card problem is, EVERY transaction incurs bank fees and the day’s exchange rate. Now, with the refund, I’ll be charged by my bank and my bank will eat a huge portion of my refunds. No more saving, no more vouchers, just unnecessary and additional charges and inconvenience. Furthermore, it’ll be a pain to track them and do my accounting well since I will no longer have an idea how much exactly was the actual value with the bank eating at my fees. Way to go to ruin the end of the decade for me and the start of the new year, Groupon. This is a huge turn off and a problem I don’t need to carry with me for the next decade. PS: If your system can’t accept that a first time customer will buy many deals at once, then maybe check your processes and don’t just immediately act on things without talking to the account holder and verifying things with them first!!!!

Keep up the great work. I’ve been using Groupon for some time & have never had any problems. I’ve had problems with non delivery of items due to suppliers and you have handled my complaints quickly and efficiently & issuing a refund from them. Today for the first time I noticed you have a chat line, I did have a query today about the special promo and used the chat line, they answered my question within seconds and also mentioned I was entitled to some other deals with Groupon. Great work Groupon & thanks for your fantastic service!! 😀😀

Quite disappointed with some faulty products and some that have never arrived!. Hi there, I was wanting to get in contact with you guys to inform you of some instances - 2 of which products were delivered; 1 product is faulty and the USB ports don’t work at all and the second never arrived. I have it on my purchases and this was months ago yet it says Not Available yet I never received it or a refund. This was a multicolour led phone cable. Thirdly and lastly, I had made reservations at a restaurant for 5pm and had to be elsewhere at 6:30 and waited up until 5:30 and the restaurant remained closed! I kept calling them up to no avail. Why is it when u make a purchase it gets refunded and I can’t access the vouchers.

They sell your email and phone number to scammers. As soon as I bought something from this app, I started getting scam emails and then scam messages on WhatsApp! Because they sell all your info. It wasn’t a coincidence that MAGICALLY after buying something from them that I get incessant scam emails and messages. I wouldn’t even care honestly but I think about the old people or people who aren’t tech smart or smart enough to know. I hope the staff of Groupon’s grandparents, parents, siblings, friends, ANY loved one gets scammed to kingdom come so that they can feel empathy towards their fellow human beings. I haven’t even and never have been scammed but I don’t need to to KNOW that it’s a horrible thing to do to someone.

Groupon. Last month my movie tickets at Events movie tickets ran out and the only reason we didn’t use them was because of covid 19... Groupon should credit the $100 dollars back...😤 We bought back supports for when using computer and when ordering you declined (3)orders and approved (1)but then charged and sent out the (4)orders and we have (12) extra back support with us unused...that we need to send back these unused computer back supports back and receive a credit for as well...😤 Want replies...thanks (I sent this email (6)weeks? ago) ——————————————————- We haven’t been able to book Penrith Aqua park since January(2021) and the reply I get says ‘that we have overused our purchase for this month...as we try every week with same reply... Tried emailing and ringing that a recorded message says covid prevents talking/emailing us???

Grouponholic. Love Groupon, especially for the short courses they offer, always something different to learn about. Just wish they had a cart where you could keep the different items you are interested in before checking out as I prefer to look at everything before making my purchases and then forget some of the items I was actually wanting, probably a good thing else I would spend way much more money with Groupon then I already do.

Some little adjustments.... I usually use Groupon for body treatments, I think that would be very useful to have more technical info in each offer. I found this as a very time consuming: clicking on or ringing each place to get the info that I need: ie what kind of machine they use (there are too many in the market, some of them effective, others completely useless). Also , I couldn’t connect to some websites through the links that are shown...it doesn’t look serious and makes me decide for other options. Regarding other matters, would be great to have the possibility of setting on the app offers that you don’t want to see anymore... some of them have been there for long time and if they are not of your interest ..they just bother. I would like to be able to rate each experience that I have with Groupon , but can’t do through the app. Other than that , I really enjoy using Groupon and thanks to it I have had great services and have met good professionals Thx!

Newsletter signup does not allow login. Confusingly, agreeing to receive Groupon newsletter emails does NOT result in you having an account. You can scan deals but cannot buy any - one must go in a second time and establish a password (ie account creation). Most app/tech companies have you provide an email address and an associated password at same time (or immediately after receiving a confirmation email sent to nominated email address). Groupon could make the web-page ‘subscription’ process simpler by accepting email address and nominated password in one process, to avoid ‘limbo’ of subscribed but without account.

Nice job. I love the concept of Groupon and I am satisfied so far with their services. Sometimes the businesses advertised may be a little dodgy, however I understand that does not have to do with Groupon. I find the reviews on every voucher always extremely helpful. I would suggest more authentic photos of businesses or even better an option for the reviewers to post photos along with their reviews. Lastly, I would suggest to add a ‘favourite tag’ so you can categorise and easily access vouchers that you consider.

Quality and timely delivery. I have purchased many things from Groupon over the time. The reasoning for purchasing so much from them is firstly, the quality of the products, there descriptions of the product is accurate and detailed. Secondly, the speedy delivery, you are not waiting months and then you have forgotten about it and the excitement of your purchase gone. They also track your package all the way which is great. I very rarely give positive comments about any company but when you have not been let down in any of your purchases, so credit where credit is due. With such a large online purchases these days, when you can’t feel or touch the products and I have been disappointed so many times in most areas, Groupon has succeeded in all areas, so quodos to them.

Waratah ugg collar slippers size. I have purchased this brand previously a couple of times and they have been wonderful. Probably on the small side size wise until the wool lining softens. This particular design is disappointing, there is wool insole but the colored looking wool fabric is synthetic. The size is enormous, probably 2 sizes larger than expected and extremely wide. The quality of the sole is poor and more of a foam than a rubber on my precious purchases. The quality has gone down hill. Unfortunately I cannot recommend. It was difficult to find the groupon live chat function. I won’t be able to give these as a gift to my grandmother for her birthday as they are so big. Groupon support is yet to action or respond to my request for a refund or exchange. A disappointing experience all round.

Yay! All Sorted… almost!. Looking forward to our first Valentine’s Day.. my gifts both just booked on Groupon and got another little something (personalised) in mind to add to it. Morning Pottery Lesson at Burwood then lunch at Chinatown (we’ve been wanting to go so works out great) …back home to have a rest, feed the dogs and freshen up before receiving my gift which my partner is so excited about giving me… then we’re off to Govindas at Darlinghurst for dinner and a movie which sounds great. So excited! Thanks Groupon for great ideas and huge savings!, because I was stressing out what to give lol,, YAY!!

Great meal deals. I have bought several meal vouchers and have used them by taking my 88-year-old mum and her best friend on outings to use the vouchers - mainly pub meals. Obviously I just pay for the third meal but we are yet to be disappointed with any of the deals I have bought - all have had terrific service and delicious meals. This is such a great way of trying new places and a very reasonably priced outing for us all. I work shifts and otherwise it is difficult to organise to go out very often but with the vouchers it forces me to use them and take the elderly ladies out for a treat.

Location Update Required. I had previously selected Bondi as the location to redeem my coupon only to find on arrival that there was no longer a Gelatissimo outlet operating there. After unnecessary correspondence with Gelatissimo about the matter I managed to have the Circular Quay outlet willingly honour the coupon. Gelatissimo assured me they have advised Groupon of such closure at Bondi but even now Groupon has not updated things to reflect this change.

Wrap around Quick Dry bath towel. I brought a purple and blue one and the day l received them I contacted Groupon to tell them that I was not happy with them. The very poor quality of the product and that it didn’t fit my mum . I brought these as part of a Mother’s Day gift. So as soon as I tell the online agent this they leave the conversation and didn’t return. I think this is very very poor Customer Service and Groupon needs to get there act together because if you treat your three year old customers like this I would hate to see how your company would treat someone that’s only been your customer for 6 months!

Excellent Savings on Beauty Services. I am absolutely thrilled with Groupon! This app has been a game-changer for me, especially when it comes to booking beauty services. The amount of money I've saved is incredible, and I love finding great deals on everything from massages to haircuts. The only minor downside is that it's wise to do a quick Google search of the business before purchasing, as not every place offers the same quality. Nonetheless, I am obsessed with how affordable everything is on Groupon. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to save big!

Great Food, Hair Dressing & Mechanically Services. So far we’ve purchased various services and items from Groupon Vouchers, most of the time we have been very happy with the quality and quantity of the food, mechanical service on our cars and the hairdressers services (read the fine print). I highly recommend you read your reviews from other customers to see what their perspective is for what you are purchasing so you won’t be disappointed, enjoy!

75%. The app is actually great! However, they do need to work on the wording of deals and the finer details of the deals (Groupons) as it causes inconvenience both for the businesses and the Groupon users. This is coming from someone who does get regular groupons and have had to ask for a refund from Groupon in the past due to this issue. Please make it a business policy to assist these businesses rather than putting the sole responsibility on their hands. Once this is fixed, Groupon as a whole is a fantastic idea and I would endorse it with 5 stars, rather than 4.

I was over sites claiming to have it all. Then a deal popped up after I’d purchased tickets to a concert. And things have changed and these are absolute bargains that people really want. I saved $680 on my first purchase and didn’t even spend $250. I have been waiting to experience the item I purchased. Thought regretfully each time I passed a salon offering the service that no matter how I tried I wouldn’t be able stretch and afford it. But Groupon has me back. I’ve since saved on linen and a get away. I’m so happy to be back. 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 all the way

Bad Refund policy and customer support. I bought a voucher recently and the business and I got a booking problem with them (they couldn’t book me for more than 3 weeks and after that they mixed up my appointment. However, there is no easy refund request! There is a 7 days refund period but usually you can’t even get a booking in that period so if there is any problem you are out of luck. You need send them an inquiry and wait for them to reply. I got a reply saying that I need to provide an email from the business saying that they agree with my refund! This means that you need so much time and effort to put and they hope you give up. This is an industry exception that burden of proof is on you and they won’t put any effort to follow an issue.

Deserve a lil discount. Whenever I want to try something that is a bit out of my budget I use Groupon to see if it’s worth it. I used Groupon to get eyelash extensions, decided I loved them and kept going back. And now I’ve just gotten a great deal for three weeks at a ufc gym! The only issue I had was once I bought stone non stick saucepans and pots and they were poor quality and smelt like melting plastic when being used. but the Groupon deal had disappeared before I could complain. Every other experience has been great. It’s a really good way to treat yourself when you are a bit low on cash too.

New address. I have bought items in the past where I was living. I now have moved to a new estate and when I order my good to be delivered they are not excepting my new address And the delivery information that I fill in with my new address keeps referring back to the old address where I lived before as they are unable to locate this new estate reason being that it’s not registered on the GPS as yet There has however residents living here that have had other deliveries made for different companies from different suppliers. The good I am trying to buy are from the US Is there some way that I can have this fixed so I can buy the items I wish to purchase. Please help me out Regards Valerie Cameron thank you

Maria. I am so happy with Groupon, I mainly shop with them because items I purchase are so reasonable, plus they notify you that there is a discount on items which makes a big difference. Also I like buying through Groupon because if there’s a issue with a purchase they sort it out for you and with the seller, which is really great so I don’t have to worry sorting it out myself which can be a headache. I think Groupon is great and I love shopping with Groupon. Many thanks Maria Also I would like to add anyone who shops with Groupon will know there isn’t any other companies that are so reasonable priced and reliable. I love shopping with Groupon they are the best. You truly, Maria

Responsive and interactive customer service.. No muss no fuss - I was able to use my Groupon bucks easily on a new service when the one I purchased wasn’t available. I had the option of a refund or credit. I also like the fact that some service providers has a calendar advising if their availability and allow you to book your appointment from the App. So easy and it’s why I chose this hair salon over the others. 👍

Terrible system and customer service has a lot to be desired... If you want to apply discounts to get 3 vouchers in the one transaction you only get the discount for one.. you have to make 3 seperate purchases to get the discount of all 3.. I don’t understand what they can’t apply the discount per voucher in the same transaction, really a waste of time ordering 3 times. Customer service was absolutely no help as they had no idea what was going on and had to check with their supervisor as he said it was only 1 purchase that your entitled to the 5%discount on 1 item… then after the discount ran out as I was waiting on a response I got the day after and discounts seems to always run out midnight on the same day I get an email stating I will get the 5% off 3 seperate vouchers if I purchase that way… I asked this question in the first chat and was told no! Disappointed.

Purchase. Please be careful buying from Groupon if something goes wrong they don’t ask you in a personal message, just not their problem ? So we went to post office as it was delivered by them as my goods that came in card board box, however they just through it back the fault of the packers even though the box had 3 deep cuts in the box. So of cause just passing the buck we got nowhere. So my storage leather ottoman had the leather cut on the top lid. So not Groupon problem not post office problem so please let me know whose problem it is, so disappointing in Groupon attitude when been good customer. and you can’t make a phone call ??? A very unhappy customer Suzanne Wilson

Ok, but don’t expect Customer Service!. I used to love Groupon and have been a pretty loyal member for almost 10 years. However, customer service has declined so significantly that I will most definitely be ceasing membership. However, first I must spend the frustrating number of credits I’ve been forced to accumulate due to faulty products and misinformation provided by the company. After numerous emails back and forth with what I’m not sure was a person or an auto robot, (what is Usha??!) I could not get any straight answers to some very simple questions and was instead flooded with language about all the ‘wonderful items I could buy with the credits I couldn’t find in my account and didn’t want! Groupon might have some good deals, but so do a lot of other companies, and now that they have decided to skimp on customer service, I’m out! Their bad attitude rings warning bells so I will no longer trust my hard earned cast to these guys. Be warned!

Gaylene Heise. Commenting on no 4 outdoor living three piece setting. This set of two chairs and a glass top table is very classy. Assembling was challenging: We managed to get the chairs together despite there being a shortfall of screws which the instructions (being a little vague) said should be there, ie so many of large medium and small screws. It was confusing as to which ones to use when there were not enough large screws. But we used medium screws and I hope the chairs stay together with the use they will get. The set is very nice Groupon is great. I like the quality of the linen we have purchased and the recent purchase of a cooling bamboo topper is a total success. Wish I had more money to spend at Groupon. With all the products I have purchased it would be nice to earn some points towards extra customer discounts. Regards Gaylene Heise

Beware of buying merchandise!. No problems when purchasing Experiences, however, there is NO information on which country you’re buying the goods from. Don’t assume it’s in Australia. Who knows where it comes from as it won’t tell you in the details of the product. Ive discovered this searching the tracking details a couple of weeks later and realised it’s from overseas so I will need to wait a lot longer to receive. Obviously this info would impact your decision when buying the product based on quality, time of delivery even warranty. I will never purchase again unless this is updated in the products description. Buyer Beware!!

Can still be improved. The app is more mobile than the website version, but the app interface can still be improved. I’ve already logged in to my account yet when I have to make a booking, I have to log in again. Also, I have already clicked on my voucher, put in my contact number, yet the booking page is asking for the voucher number and contact number again. This information has already been supplied, so they should not be asked for again. Just some suggestions to improve the intuitiveness of the app.

Often great but sometimes terrible. Mostly a great place to find deals and businesses you didn’t know about and try them out for a reduced rate. We’ve had some great meals, playtimes, experiences and beauty treatments at great rates from great companies. Some are now our regular go tos. When buying goods from them be very wary. They are often not quite as described or the quality is far from that described. Refunds for these issues are impossible to secure. Recently bought sandals and the measurements don’t match standard measurements but because they’ve provided a size chart too bad. Don’t trust their sizing charts or other details as being ‘standard’ check measure. Quality is a harder thing to talk about. I’ve since worn the sandals and the Velcro has come undone stitched Wish me luck in getting my money back.

Great App But Need To Fix Bookings Function. Search function makes particular deals easy to find. Fantastic deals across the app. I have been using it on a regular basis and definitely recommend it. I’ve saved hundreds of dollars on anything ranging from restaurants to car services to essential items and presents for other people. The items that I have ordered have been good quality and the restaurants and other services have been anything from decent to great. One problem though - the booking function often does not work after you have bought a Groupon and are trying to make a reservation for a restaurant or service, online. I am currently getting around this by directly calling the places which I have bought a Groupon for and making a reservation on the phone. Overall it’s no major deterrent to getting the app, just an inconvenience that is fixable.

Terrible service. Was charged twice and then when I contacted them through the email on my PayPal transaction, which is what PayPal says to do, I didn’t get a reply. I got shipping notice for TWO of my product so I emailed them through the website. They said to bad pretty much and I can return one once I get it. They said they don’t have an email on PayPal. Which is lie because it’s right there. I’ve ended up selling my second locally because I’m not paying or taking time out of my day to ship something back that I shouldn’t have gotten or paid for in the first place. Then come to find out what I got was cheap from China and I could have gotten cheaper off Wish. So so disappointed with the service and the product. Never again and I’ve warned everyone I know.

I need my refund back!!😡. I purchased a coupon from Groupon for a whale watching cruise. It was canceled because of weather conditions without any notification. I requested a refund from service provider. They wrote me a confirmation to send to Groupon because coupon was redeemed. I sent it to Groupon in the first place after request a refund and got contacted by them. It was 11/10. No response since then even if I sent a few emails again and went through requesting a refund a few times. They are just silent. No way to contact them through any phone number as well. I hope my money doesn’t disappear like so… Quite disappointed and discouraged from using this app any more. Won’t recommend to my friends too…😡

Get great deals on car stuff. I always look here before booking my car in somewhere to see if there’s a deal the other great deals I get sometimes on like beauty stuff. But have saved heaps but have to take into account the distance it is from my house and make sure Im saving. As most things are in city locations. I just book a service on my car and get an Uber to the closes shopping place while I wait. Probably not saving money.

Great service. Never had problems with any credits or cancellations of any Groupons

No customer support whatsoever. There is absolutely no way to reach Groupon. I’ve had issues with their app attempting to buy things and not one email provided works. Nice to see you guys care about your customers. The “support” page just gives you a list of FAQs and no way to fix my personal issue with my personal account. Thanks for the disappointment Groupon. I’ve now missed out on a deal I have tried to purchase for an entire week.

No “deal”. Beware-groupon “deals” turn out to cost you more in the end with hidden additional fees and vendors that charge higher additional fees when you go through groupon. Read carefully before you use your credit card to purchase, as groupon will not refund charge to your credit card. You just get. Groupon bucks.

Rip off. Why are hotels on Canadian soil and everything that are Canadian in American dollars there really isn’t any saving as at all for Canadians

Linda. Always a great deal, great merchants and easy to use!!

Customer service is an absolute joke. So basically there is no customer service it’s a freaking robot. It’s an AI agent. Which repeats itself thousands of times, but they do not connect you to a real human agent. No matter how many times you explain what’s the issue it still gonna ask you again what’s wrong. And its gonna keep asking you till you get mad and and quit the conversation the prices are not bad But if you have an issue, you have to deal with it that stupid robot cannot help never seen a stupid robot in my life A year ago we had a human agent so when we can talk to and fix the issue but now do we have an AI agent a real stupid one

Amazing deals. Thanks Groupon for the amazing deals

Easiest shopping app ever!. This is an awesome shopping app - it is so quick and easy. I love it!

👎🏻. The app won’t let me sign in!!! But the website does.... I don’t get it.

I will not be using groupon again. If anything goes wrong with the app or your groupon you will not be getting your money back. Good luck talking to customer service — it’s through chat in the app, there’s no number to call or accountability.

Sold tickets they couldn’t fulfill on at a higher price. I had a frustrating experience booking aquarium tickets through Groupon while on vacation. Right after purchasing, my tickets were automatically refunded without any explanation. However, this left me with about $10 in transaction fees that weren’t refunded. When I tried to rebook, the time slot I had originally selected was no longer available on Groupon. Out of curiosity, I checked the aquarium’s official website and found that not only was the same time slot still available, but the tickets were actually cheaper there. I contacted Groupon support to resolve the issue. While they did offer a small discount code, they refused to refund the transaction fees, even though the issue was caused by them selling tickets they couldn’t fulfill. Overall, this felt unreliable and disappointing, especially while traveling. I would recommend double-checking prices and availability directly with the venue before booking through Groupon.

💕Groupon. Love Groupon!! It’s so easy to use and so many choices, definitely would 100% recommended Groupon!

Buggy. I’ve never reviewed an app in my entire life but I’m genuinely trying to find something to do locally and it’s literally impossible I’m on the latest version of iOS and there’s no updates for the app as of early June 2026 and the app is just unuseable…

Wildfire is amazing. Our favourite special occasion restaurant

Search filters are terrible. You would expect after so many years, Groupon can improve their app. The results don’t even match your search requirements/filters. It just shows you random things.

Chat Operator was Terrible. Just sat on your chat system for so long, I had to end the chat as the deal I was enquiring about was ending. The operator was already in my account, knew I was in a hurry, yet then started to ask who the vendor was, the deal number, and misc other questions. This person was just causing me additional work for no reason and as a result, I had to tell him that I hope our chat is viewed by management and that I had to end the chat as I told him the deal was ending in a few minutes. I have been loyal to Groupon for decades, and this was a brutal runaround. I did end up buying the item, but did not get my issue resolved. Regards, Tanya

Stay Away. Unfair return policy. Some of their merchants don’t offer services anymore and they won’t allow refunds for THEIR issues. No customer service lines to call. New CEO as of March 2020. Taking advantage of those who could use a refund during this pandemic.

Help with a problem. NO option that is readily available IF AT ALL - POOR customer relations!

Scam. I bought Orlando sea world tickets but i was just sent a corrupt link which never worked.

Useless. Another app that is just its own browser. You can do more on the website through Safari. Do not download this app you do not need it. It won’t load anyway however the website will load on safari. Stop making apps that are just web browsers that limit what you can do compared to Safari and the actual website, I already have a web browser for my phone.

Needs more things. Not enough options

Been on this app for years. Absolutely love it

Amazing deals made easy. I’m really enjoying Groupon app! Is very easy to search and purchase amazing deals, from restaurants to beauty services.

Not overly happy with app. Can’t switch to Canadian funds. Hidden costs. Most items are people selling stuff. The real good coupons of old are gone. Just garbage now. Sorely disappointed

Coupon Codes. It’s not very helpful when you send customers coupon codes that do not work. Disappointing.

Scam of a company. What an absolute scam. They stole my money, said they’d give it back within 24 hours, but it took them 2 weeks. No workers had any respect, ending chats even though the conversation wasn’t over. Most workers didn’t even take the time to review the problem. All they said back was “no problem here, next”. I even had to call the merchant to tell Groupon to release my refund! Never giving this scamming business my business again, and I recommend you don’t either.

Worst ever. I have purchase 2 groupons and both have been a terrible experience. The first was laser clinic who did not take calls for appointments. The second was 8x8 acrylic prints which you could not check out without having to pay the full amount on the merchants website. I was tossed back and forth by Groupon to merchant to resolve this issue. I lost a week and more of my life trying to use the redemption code and getting these prints for my family for Christmas with no resolution. I was not able to gift these as this issue continued up until early January. I got an email from customer support stating they will issue the refund but the link only goes to Groupon website without and refund on account. Will never recommend. 0 stars for experience and time lost. Complete waste of time and money.

Oops internal error!!. Been totally locked out of all the screens in the app , including customer support, and I need to redeem my groupon for upcoming vacation!! How do I get in touch with anyone to resolve this?! Other pages including featured and categories saying server error. Can someone get in touch with me!?

App is trash. Deals might be good but you can’t buy them unless you use a credit card. FAQs say they take PayPal but they don’t. There is never an option at any point in the process despite what their FAQs lie about. So I gave up using the app and used their desktop site and it wouldn’t let me select a city outside of Quebec which was a huge problem for me 3 years ago and the reason I stopped using the site. It’s nice to know that after 3 years the same problems I complained about to support still exist and the only way to purchase anything isn’t with money you actually have but only with money you don’t actually have (credit) Time to enter the 21st century Groupon. You need multiple and ACCESSIBLE payment methods. Not an imaginary way to use PayPal that doesn’t exist in reality.

Offers a Variety of Goods/Services. I appreciate the variety of services & goods that are available at discounted prices in order to try various things that I normally would never pay full price for. I like the ease of the app & the customer service for refunds etc has always been good.

Awesome. Always a great deals on Oil Change

Awesome app. Great app for deals! Also gives you ideas of things do and places to eat while visiting a new place!

Out of touch. I don’t know what has happened to Groupon, but their idea of support and customer service seem to have narrowed greatly. I recently got something from Groupon, and am now getting emails for offers only available in another country, which is of no relevance to me. So I guess the only option is to unsubscribe from emails? I wanted to see if I could report it or if there was something in settings or my location, and nothing, everything is set for Canada and my location. So I go within the app for customer support. You tap it and it’s a perpetual loop of try these common questions and answers and then says use the chat if needed, to which there is no direct link to a chat - I guess you have to have an issue with a specific order to get a chat option? I can’t even find a contact us option. The deals in the past through Groupon have been great, but a lack of support makes me hesitant to shop here like I used to again. There’s no way to contact them unless it’s about something specific you bought, no tech support or feedback….unless it’s in the form of a review I guess. Edit: thought I would try again, and it’s even worse! I can’t get the code to give to the business I bought a service from- I can’t see my order through an email, but not the code the merchant needs. Tried every possible way to open my account and it’s a loop of enter email look for code…..multiple attempts, 40 minutes later and what was supposed to be a relaxing massage is now a stressful nightmare. I advise against using Groupon.

Misleading Notifications and Junk. Too many misleading and fraudulent notifications

Fast easy. Great deal

Terrible app. Completely not catered for Canadian buyers. How can I type a Canadian postal code for my credit card with only numbers? Your customer service was not helpful either.

Recommend. I use Groupon everywhere we go! It’s save you so much time and money, I would definitely recommend this app.

Misleading currencies. Hate wasting time looking at Canadian companies in Canada and getting ready to pay (sweet deal!) only later — at the final steps — to learn that the price is actually on USD and not in Canadian $ ... Groupon does not value Canadian customers.

Great deals. Thank you. Thanks

I only want to see CAD $$. I have removed this app as it won’t me to set up seeing deals in Canadian dollars. We have no desire to see US $ amounts on items or hotels in Canada!!

Amazing app. One of the amazing app to get all that you and your family need for an affordable price. Love this app and would recommend it.

AI customer service. I’m not sure who decided on ai customer service but it’s the worst . Please get rid of it

Groupon. Some really awesome deals!!!

Food deals. Excellent

No Cart option for Canada purchases. I am wasting lot of money by doing multiple shipments. I am unable to shop multiple items in one single shipment through which I am loosing lots of money on delivery and Custom charges. This is insane and a good example of poor customer service.

Charging usa dollars for Canadian goods.. Why is groupon charging me US dollars for items in Canada. Fix this. It has been years since I wrote this and yet they STILL charge us$ on Canadian goods. Annoying.

Limited, repeatable options!. I remember using Groupon years and years ago, and there was always tons great deals! I've downloaded it again and have been using it over the last couple of months and it's the exact same deals every time I one the app. There's never anything new or exciting for my city. Definitely losing interest. What a bummer 😢

This app is a joke. They took over 340$ from me and put it in groupon bucks I wanted to rent a hotel and I called the hotel they had rooms and I was speaking with someone from the chat and they said they were sold out they weren’t and you guys ripped me off and it’s taking forever to get my money back fkn sad!!!!

It used to be a good app.. It used to be a good app. Unfortunately, the prices are not accurate and sometimes in US dollars for Canadians costumers.

Live Chat. I have to give a shout out to Groupon’s live chat service. I’ve been shopping on Groupon since it was new, before there were apps. Early on, Groupon’s customer service was terrible. It’s great to see a company that improves with age. Groupon’s live chat is the best chat service I’ve ever experienced. They’re friendly, they want to help you, when they need to put you on hold it’s never long, although they apologize for putting you on hold anyway. They go above and beyond. I’m having financial problems lately and had to bring in a roommate and cut down expenses. It’s temporary; I’ll have a decent salary again one day. I have kept 3 accounts of things that could be considered not needed at this time. I continue to pay for my Groupon membership because it will pay for itself and because I do love, and appreciate, Groupon. You’re an example of a company that has improved over the years as opposed to taking your popularity for granted. Thank you so much! And, again, your live chat team rocks it! Sarah Linn Total Groupon Fangirl

Only regret is not using it sooner!. I have heard about Groupon and seen it from time to time, but it wasn’t until a few months back that I actually made my first purchase and really understood what it was all about. When I say that I am absolutely in shock at some of the deals I have on here that doesn’t even begin to describe my awe! I have never seen anywhere that has such amazing deals and on things that you actually want without a bunch of fine print that completely makes the deal essentially worthless like most places do. I don’t know how they do it, but I’m just glad they do. There is no way you can go wrong. Yes some of the coupons you do have to read the fine print, but there are some that are legit and are basically face value and seem too good to be true, but literally are not. Some surprise that I wasn’t expecting and it never came. I was able to purchase some thing on here and when I say it saved me easily $1000 I’m not exaggerating. This is a great app that I’m so thankful for finding!

Love Groupon!!. Because why not save your hard earned money?!! Groupon offers thousands of ways to save money on things you buy every day! Even car inspections and up to 50% or more in savings on vehicle repairs and maintenance (wheel alignments, oil changes, body shops, all things you normally pay full price for and Groupon seems to find some of the BEST companies out there! I have moved an hour away from where I used to live and I found my old chiropractor who saved my life literally and after living here 8 mos, and finding mediocre chiros, I turned to Groupon and found a GREAT chiropractor who has 5.0 stars out of 5.00 stars on Google and I can’t thank y’all enough! From concerts, amusement parks, parks, you name it, they have it and they have it cheaper when you buy it through here! If feels like they pay me to book through them all the things I normally just pay full price for!!! Who can beat that! I’m a fan for life!!

Customer Support. Purchased an activity in Nov 2021. Fine print said only 1/365 days. I was trying to purchase again mid-Dec, but couldn’t. Said I exceeded amount allowed. Contacted customer service, initial rep tried and was unable also. She referred to internal team for review. Told to wait. Waited 24 hours, no feedback so inquired on same chat string. Was told by another rep to review item fine print for restrictions. That was frustrating since they apparently did not read all the previous correspondence. I relied directly and then was asked to respond with screen shots. More frustration. My history is readily available in Groupon. The item has clear “fine print” so it should be easy to tell I qualify for another purchase. And they have access to the chat with all the details. Finally two days later, with no actual feedback, I tried again and was able to purchase the item. So someone must have figured out the issue and corrected. I give a three because it was resolved but with poor communication following the initial chat.

I love Groupon but lost money. I have used Groupon quite a few times.m and never had a problem! Recently we purchased tickets to a Dinosaur Expo to surprise our 8 and 3 year old sons in December 2021. We drove an hour to get to the expo to find out we could not enter due to my family not showing our vaccination cards! First time we have ever felt discriminated for something that we thought was not disclosed upfront when purchasing the tickets on a Groupon. My family and I had no health issues that would be contagious to spread to anyone…we wouldn’t leave the house if any one of us were sick! Yet we felt perfectly fine and purchased tickets like everyone else and were denied access to get in the doors. I sent a message to Groupon to get a refund or exchange as they’ve always been great with exchanges or refunds, but the rep I spoke with basically denied our request for a refund and offered no explanation! I was pretty bummed to receive service the way I did from Groupon!

Lack of transparency and long wait for customer support. I booked a Chicago architectural cruise tour on Groupon in 7/21, have lots of frustrations so far: 1 - non transparent booking information: only after purchase I found out you need to pay additional $20 to the cruise provider for “processing fee”! - did not see the notice on this voucher is non refundable - cruise description says free ride under age 3, but when I called provider they said no you can not bring a stroller, how is safe and feasible for me to hold a 3 month old for two hours? 2 - slow customer support and no representative call available. After I found I can not use this service provider, I contacted Groupon and apparently they only have text messages support or email, and they want me to wait 5 to 7 days for response. I am planning on 5 days out to get ticket for cruise and you are telling me to wait to figure out if I can get refund for this voucher? How am I supposed to have time ahead to book another one? What if you tell me 5 days later oh you can not have refund because this is non refundable? Garbage app!!! This bad compared to when Groupon just started! This app should be dead by now

Covid improved Groupon customer service. I made a purchase a couple of years ago. It was a large purchase for my entire family to charter a fishing boat, 6 AM in the morning on a weekday with grand children, son & wife and my husband and I. Kids ages 8-11. Yes, they had to skip school, it was almost end of the year. Kids not happy about “b at dock at 6 AM”, but sleepily anxious. No one showed. Locked dock, we can c the boat, took pictures. Called the captain s number numerous times, called secondary number. Nothing! After 2 hours, we left. I know OSHA. My husband n I both worked with OSHA. “ If it’s not documented, it didn’t happen”. I documented, I received NO call of apology or explanation. I went back to Groupon and they evaluated and denied my refund, I could spend the appropriate $400+ I spent, but, do it in 24 hrs., Really!!! I went to American Express, they immediately refunded my money, only to reverse the decision a month later. I said I’ll never use Groupon again, choke on the money. Then Covid happened an things changed, now I have Groupon $, my faith is restored. U rating can go higher.

Disappointed. I have been using Groupon for a couple years and purchased many Groupon deals with great results. I hate that I am writing this but a recent experience I’ve had shined some negative light on Groupon. My father purchased some groupons for a local food establishment. When we showed up to use the deal we found out the business went out of business. Windows boarded up and place cleared out closed. When my father noticed Groupon they tried not refunding his money until he started using the word fraud then he was told he would be getting a refund. I notified Groupon the restaurant is no longer in operation and they need to take the Groupon off their site. A week later and they are still offering the Groupon deal. Groupon is knowingly taking people’s money even though they have been notified the company is no longer in operation. This is fraud selling goods where the party will never receive what they paid for. Everytime I tried contacting customer support I’m redirected to another country and and the instant chat is cut short when I complain. Very disappointed because I have really enjoyed using Groupon in the past.

Get more for your money. Overall, Groupon is not as good as it used to be but that being said, it is still a great way to save money. If you are going to spend money anyway, doesn’t it just make sense to save as much as possible? We use it weekly for restaurant, activity and product purchases. We also use it for travel packages and they have worked out great. I can say for the many years I have used Groupon, I have been consistently impressed with the vendors and the quality of their product. The only area for improvement is with the customer service available. It used to be you could make a simple phone call for customer service and that worked very well. That option is no longer available and your option is Live Chat, which is not always available, takes more time and effort on a consumer’s behalf and can be rather frustrating when trying to address a current concern.

Trade-in on your voucher?. I contacted Groupon customer support via chat which was very difficult to find on the Groupon app. I only saw the chat after I try to purchase a different Groupon and I saw the chat option on there. I searched and search for a customer support and a chat option but could not find it. It could’ve been because it was after 5 PM Pacific standard time. I do not know for sure. However I was able to chat with a customer support person and his name was Alvin. I was able to trade in a Groupon voucher that expired today which was at a hair salon which I’ve visited and was very discouraged at the looks of the place. It was not inviting at all and she had no customers in the salon at all. I would be afraid to go to that hair salon. Alvin was able to help me find a different Groupon that was more aesthetically pleasing. I thought all Groupon’s were eligible for a trade-in but they are not but you do have three days to cancel a Groupon after purchase which I did not know.

Mixed Experiences. I just purchased a sunset cruise for two that seems like a very good deal but I was burned by Groupon in another recent purchase. Customer service was unhelpful at best. I am a lifelong journalist who has written for major U.S. news organizations. The problem arose when I purchased a Groupon for $59 that was redeemable by Clean Air USA to perform a residential air duct cleaning in my condo. As required, I made an appointment with a Clean Air USA technician to perform the work. The technician looked at my vents before telling me that my ducts were not suitable for the $59 service. Instead, he wanted to sell me an $850 service discounted from $1,100 as a result of purchasing the Groupon. I contacted Groupon to ask for a refund of my $59. They refused on grounds that too much time had elapsed by the time I received my Clean Air USA visit. I tried to leave a review on the Groupon app but Groupon only accepts reviews from people who have redeemed their vouchers. I am not redeeming the voucher because no one did any work. There are a number of one-star reviews of this deal on Groupon but there would be more if Groupon allowed all purchasers of this deal to leave reviews. I urge you to avoid purchasing this deal for Clean Air USA on Groupon. Don’t be another victim.

Zero star company -absolute waste of time and money. Absolutely the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. My family and I purchased a Groupon for a maid and scheduled a cleaning service with the company for a week and a half after the purchase day. No one ever shows up and the maid service told us we would have to be refunded through Groupon. We contacted Groupon and explained what had happened, that the company had charged us for services that were never performed. Groupon replied that the refund request needed to have come three days after the purchase date or they would not honor it. We then explained again and again that we had booked the service for a week and a half after the purchase date, and could not have known that the company would not uphold their end of the deal. It took days of going back and forth with different people via email ( because no one would talk to me on the phone or provide any contact number) and they ended up telling us they would not refund us. As a customer who paid for something never received, I could not have been more disappointed and disgusted by the way Groupon handled this. Absolutely a WASTE of my time and money. Skip the middle man, Groupon will only result in problems not worth dealing with.

Review. Two stars because of the goods section and customer service.. The Groupon goods have been a constant disappointment or regret. Items can take very long to be delivered, don’t work at all, or are unable to return even if advertised. It’s also frustrating because u cannot talk to a Groupon person EVER. So u can chat or email. I have never had an email returned so ur only option is chatting which is highly difficult. When I get pamper myself or things to do, I’m almost always pleasantly surprised. If there is an issue, it’s almost always resolvable with the company providing the service and therefore you don’t have to deal with Groupon “customer service.” I would advise to avoid the Groupon goods.. as i am learning.. I have continually returned to buy goods and have never had a great or even okay experience.. I would say 80% of the time is very bad. I think Groupon was a much more customer friendly app a year ago, since then.. not so much

Groupon Is Actually Quite Awesome. I have purchased mostly retail items so far from the Groupon app since my shopping adventure has began. The products are just as listed; right down to how the retailer's sizes run (true-to-type/runs small/runs large) The products are of excellent quality and not shipped from Eastern World countries that take weeks for the delivery to arrive. No worries of unconverted standardized sizes here which end in leaving the consumer with child sized clothing when expecting an adult size as ordered. No, all Americans are not 4' tall and 95 pounds! If Groupon ever begins to offer a membership that parallels that of Amazon's Prime Services, they will become quite a competitor, and a trusted source for convenient one-click shopping. I'm impressed and I've just started using Groupon as an alternative to other app-driven choices! Suggestion: ramp up your shipping to include two-day shipping and offer a membership that add value to members that encourages them to make Groupon their go-to one stop retail shop!

Not worth the trouble. I remember when Groupon was a great service that offered tons of places. Nowadays, there’s never anything good at all and to make up for the lack of any interesting offers, they shove cheap, junk products in your face to prevent you from noticing half of the space would be unfilled otherwise. Like, yeah, I’m TOTALLY interested in being shown 20 dresses (I’m a man) when I’m just looking for an activity to do. In my very large city, it literally didn’t even matter what I searched, the exact same offers were shown each time, just in a different order. It made it even harder to see other posts due to Groupon’s absolute joke of a filter system. For example, often it won’t allow you to filter for price below a couple hundred dollars, as if there’s 0 chance you’d want to spend less than $200. Same thing for location, the nearest I could allow is a ridiculous 250 mile radius. Why would I ever drive that far for something to do, ESPECIALLY when I’m A: looking to save some money and B: most of these offers aren’t worth even 10 minutes of driving, let alone hours of time + gas money. It’s not the prices so much (though they’re bad too) as the completely bland options and lack of variety. All in all, this service is a complete waste of time.

Always having issues. Grade F on customer care. What has happened with Groupon? For the last two days I have bought or tried to buy three separate deals. Every single one of them has had an technical issues. One would not recognize the number of items I was trying to purchase and two of them were purchased and then later refunded back to me without my knowledge. Promotions that were supposed to be given were never received and worse of all you cannot get a hold of an agent. Apparel they really cut budget and only doing chats with off shore agents and they only answer you in pre written firm answers. Groupon tells you you can ask for a call back online and on their 800 number but when you request they say you can’t. Additionally in researching and calling the merchant I realized that in one of the deals Groupon was actually charging the customer over $11 more than the full price merchants price so your actually paying more to purchase through Groupon. It’s been sometime since I purchased last through Groupon and the company has really gone downhill since. I’m not sure how much longer this model will work for them. Shame on them!

Not as slick as they claim to be.. Groupon is supposed to be super simple but my mom purchased these tickets for us for Christmas and it was nothing but a pain. She put that she wanted to order 2 and clicked purchase for some reason it ended up sending her a confirmation email stating she had bought 6!!! These aren’t cheap and going from 2 to paying for 6 is a chunk of money. She searched and searched for the contact information and finally got in touch with someone over the phone. She told them to cancel 4 of them, they ended up canceling 5 instead. Then she tried to buy one more so that we wouldn’t just have 1 ticket and they said that she had exceeded her limit on tickets she could buy so it wouldn’t allow her to purchase another ticket. So now I have to go on and buy another ticket and make sure that everything works out so that we can sit together. Christmas presents are supposed to be easy. I stopped using Groupon all together about 2 years ago because it’s not as easy as they make it out to be. And a lot of the time the fine print isn’t as legit as you think! Watch out they’ll get ya!! Oh and on a side note even choosing a nickname to POST a review is complicated!! You have to pick a nickname that hasn’t been taken!!! This is a joke!!!

‼️There are scammers who pose as merchants‼️. I paid for a cleaning service on Groupon. I waited one day for the merchant to reply back to me. No reply! After I paid, I realized the merchant only had an email address no phone number listed, no legit website address, no social media page or anything( just a old lousy “aol” email . So I sent them an email, no reply. But a day later, I got a notification saying that my purchase is redeemed. I never redeemed anything, I was never able to get in touch with the merchant for the service, they never contacted me to schedule a time fir service. That was when I realized I got scammed. Basically, they cashed out and walked away. Groupon should make the redeem process hard so that people don’t scam on here like I did. We all work hard for our money, and scammers just want to scam innocent hard working people. It should be only the customer/ buyer is able to redeemed the purchase online or in person. Stop Giving merchant opportunity to redeem purchases that’s a recipe for disaster, scams etc. Also only allow legit businesses to have a merchant account on Groupon. I’m so angry that happened to me now I’m scared to buy anything on Groupon😡😡😡

Just disappointing. Lacks functionality and NOT user friendly. This app is a nightmare! In my account, all of a sudden last week things just wouldn’t go through payment wise. All my Groupons would say “refunded” even when trying to use my Groupon bucks which is money I have from returns or unused Groupons already available on my account!!! I’d make sure all my card info was accurate and entered properly, and yes, there’s money in the account. Then would try to purchase it again, but failed. Then I went to customer service live chat to ask for help, which they were useless. Told me to add a payment card and check my billing address. Which I did not once or twice, but twelve times. I tried through the app, through the link sent to my email, every time it was being deleted. Then when going back to support to say nothing worked, he had nothing to suggest but recommend I “read the frequently asked questions” on the support page to find my answer hopefully. I’m just so frustrated and disappointed that such app with great potential and that I’ve spent thousands on, just won’t work properly now. It’s irritating I have $70 as basically a gift card and still CANT use it to buy any deals!

Dependable. I having been using Groupon in 2 states. In larger cities you receive the greatest deals. In smaller cities, it's much more difficult. I love Groupon and I am sure they love me too! Their shipping is fast. I have been very fortunate with them. When I buy something from them, and it fits, I immediately buy the same item, just in different colors. I have told many people about Groupon and they love it, as well. As of late, I would give Groupon no stars! If you buy clothing from them, buyer beware. I have not received anything that looks good. The quality is awful and they don't fit well. I have certainly changed my mind with clothing I ordered a mat for a cat . The cats hate it, as this product is cheaply made and it makes a lot of noise. I have been writing Groupon for days with no response! Unfortunately, Groupon has gotten worse! The quality of clothes, is horrific. If you want to return anything from Groupon, forget about it. It’s like pulling teeth. I have many problems with returns, so you end up keeping it.!

Super Team!!. I began to use Groupon sometimes last year and at first viewed all the deals with a cloud of a doubt, relying on an old saying “ if it looks too good, then it is too good to be true”. However, I kept my eyes open for a while on a spa deals, women clothing( especially underwear 😜, I’m secretly a lingerie fanatic) and other miscellaneous items. Not only deals became more affordable, but they sharpened up in attracting me even more. I finally man up to buy a couple of packages and can’t be happier with them!!! For real, vendors welcome customers with coupons very friendly and provide top of the line service. The app cleverly filters out local offers from more geographically undesirables. That’s the first thing I recommend to new users to set up their location preferences and the results for your keyword search will start pouring like Niagara’s Waterfalls...... 😂 lol I highly advise others to upload the app and not to spend another dollar anywhere, before confirming the price with Groupon’s deals!!! Great job, team Groupon!!! Work very well done!!!👍

Excellent service!. I recently had an issue over purchasing a hotel getaway. I followed the instructions on “frequency asked questions” and started a live chat. I had explained that because of an issue during the purchasing process, my transaction had failed and in the off chance that if I cancel my card and resubmit my card on file, I didn’t want to get charged twice. It had just happened to me recently. I got in contact with a representative through the online chat process. The representative had asked for my permission to cancel the failed transaction and gave me the green light to purchase again. I was still worried about being charged twice but the representative reassured me that that wouldn’t happen. He\she really helped me out through that process. If you have any questions about what you’re buying or if an error occurred during the transaction I highly recommend chatting with a representative on Groupon live chat! They’re very fast and efficient!

I’ve never been disappointed - I always got exactly what the photo looked like. I’m new to ordering through Groupon and give it +5 👍👍👍👍👍rating. I’ve ordered shoes 👟, belts, flowers 💐 , minimalist wallet and have gotten exactly what the photo looks like. Don’t believe negative reviews & look for the positive reviews as well. The barefoot shoes i purchased someone said they tear easily. I choose the positive reviews & like them so well ordered two for my 12 year old daughter who ❤️walking barefoot and I really don’t like walking barefoot but the anti-slip bottoms give just enough padding to make them comfortable to wear for people like me who don’t really like walking barefoot. I wear then at the Gym because I was told by a training it’s better to lift weights barefoot and then I wear them until I get on because they collect germs easier than regular tennis shoes. When I get home I spray the bottoms with disinfectant and I’m good to go the next day I use them at the Gym.

Awful. If I could give zero stars I would. This is an awful app and I don’t understand how they stay in business. This is the first time I used it and I will never use it again. I was trying to get a voucher and it was a nightmare. It took days to get the issue straightened out. It is virtually impossible to get any help. Once I finally got my voucher the company said they no longer had any availability for the voucher we purchased. When we asked why we were able to buy it, we were told Groupon kept selling the vouchers even after the allotted amount was purchased. They had told Groupon to stop and didn’t know why they kept selling them. I was able to get a full refund. However they tried to convince me that it would be faster to get a credit through Groupon rather than waiting on my bank to process the refund. The transaction showed up in my bank account almost immediately and was only pending for a day or two. I then read an article about a class action lawsuit regarding the exact same issue of Groupon selling more vouchers than allotted and even selling vouchers for business that never authorized it. Even after the lawsuit was settled they continue in the same practice.

Roach in my Hotel!. I booked this hotel room for my Honeymoon as a part of a special going on through Groupon at the Royal Park Hotel in Manhattan, NY. When we arrived we noticed the sheets and towels were not clean and not even an hour into stay, while we were getting settled in a ROACH comes crawling across the wall alongside my bed. I was almost willing to over look the sheets and towels but having BUGS is not acceptable! We gathered our things and went to ask for our refund so we could find a place elsewhere but the receptionist at the desk tells us we have to go through Groupon for our return. It’s has been a week and we have not gotten anything but the run around saying the situation has been “escalated” meanwhile me and my husband are left stranded trying to find someone to take us in on what money we had left. Thankfully we found some help but We still have not received our refund and these people could honestly careless about our situation. I will NEVER use Groupon again! Even a hotel would have offered us some sort of credit to place towards a different hotel but obviously I gave these people too much faith. This was my first and Last purchase through this company and I would advise everyone else to take your business elsewhere, NOT through Groupon!!

It’s just ok. Groupon has potential to be a trusted source for good deals. Unfortunately like anything they give into greed. Whatever brings in revenue is all that matters. Sellers aren’t vetted so it’s polluted with scams. You never know if the coupons are worth a crap because every item is completely drowned with fake reviews. It gets tiresome scrolling through the review generators to try and find actual customers. I thought you were supposed to be reimbursed if you couldn’t use up the Groupon in time but I’ve never seen it (I could be wrong and they aren’t refundable🤷🏼‍♂️!?) I have found a couple deals but there’s usually some sort of up selling involved. Last year I bought an oil change for one of my trucks. After turning down their sales pitch to pay 2 k for a tie rod , I was met with aggravation because I’m not stupid and only wanted an oil change. I went to pick up the truck to notice 7 miles added to the odometer, it wouldn’t go in reverse to leave their parking lot and they had blown my transmission. The tires has lines on then because someone had been doing burnouts. So much for a cheap oil change. That’s my summary of Groupon. It’s good for car washes and massages. ✌️

Phenomenal. Groupon is awesome. I have never had one (1) bad experience using Groupon app, website, nor any issues with the merchant’s whom I purchased from. I wish that the app wasn’t based on locations. Removing location base or upgrading the app to include all locations (globally) which a merchant is located would allow customers to shop any. This would definitely increase Groupon’s customer volume. Ex: a Spa is listed however, the customer prefers a different city where they live, as the location close to them is not customer friendly. The option to shop locally would prevent the loss of this one (1) customer. Most people would say, “ one (1) customer, that’s not bad. But imagine that this happens 500 times in a week, hmm, that’s 500 customers, times 7 days in a week, totaling 3500 customers lost. Now, imagine if this occurred every week for a year. That would be 3500 customers lost times 52 weeks in a year totaling 182,000. Thank you

Zero stars anytime I tried it.. Groupon sells garbage. They’re just a credit card scam. I’ve tried them about three or four times and just received garbage and they have zero customer service, no phone lines and they do not give refunds after they steal money and send garbage like two months down the line. I will never use this site again. It’s just laced with fake sellers from China, that’s just sad and things that you are not actually getting. There are no deals. This last time I spent $15 bucks for some slippers which were complete garbage. They refuse refunds. They’re a credit card scam site and nothing better. You’re never going to get anything quality from them. You are just going to be handing over your money. #SCAMSITE and nothing more. I’m reporting them. Never have had a good experience. I really want my money returned to my card over these completely unusable slippers with no more hassles. I will tell the cops, like this Asian seller stole my sh**. They gave me an excuse that companies are having a difficult time. Technically, that’s why people steal from you. Like I’m suppose to have some kind of compassion? Stop working that angle, THIEVES. IDGAF. I’m having a hard time too. That’s why I had to buy stuff online and not at a store. Lame excuse and an insult, actually.

Poor Customer Service. We shop through Groupon occasionally. Specifically we look for family stay adventures. Recently, we booked a Great Wolf Lodge stay for one night. My husband and I didn’t communicate well and he started driving to the Charlotte location not realizing I had booked the Williamsburg location. I am directionally challenged and did not pay attention to where he was driving. A silly yet honest mistake. When I contacted customer service, I was told that it was too bad. Their policy says nothing can be done. I get it, I’m certain that there are reasons they have the policies they way they do, but I also know that someone somewhere has the ability to override this decision. I wasn’t given that option to even speak to someone higher up. Because of their all virtual setup it makes it difficult to escalate. I am now waiting on an email from a supervisor. Upon further research Groupon is not performing as well financially as they did years ago. Probably for reasons like this. Needless to say I’m very disappointed that I have to miss out on $200 and will never use Groupon again. Also, I found the same exact deal on the Great Wolf Lodge website so I am now realizing they aren’t even a good discount place.

Refund. Buyer beware Groupon does not provide live customer service For their customers they do have it for merchant. As customer your money is unimportant for them to pay live customer service for issues not prompted on app. My experience in this situation I paid for eyebrow service Had a legitimate complaint for a refund accidentally purchased same eyebrow service 2 separate times because on the first attempt it didn’t show up on app when I tried to get refund for second purchase I received generic email responding denied without detailed explanation. So did Jackie’s eyebrows Sinking spring Pa for touch up on my eyebrows the second voucher was charged by merchant this past month again and then haggled by merchant for an appointment for after paying in credit card for other services she redeemed went ahead redeemed 2nd voucher for eyebrow hombre I sent detailed email responded again declined refund. Ridiculous we can’t talk to a human to explain and get refunded like Normal companies do they take your money and make you go thru useless process now im getting my credit card company to refund me. Not purchasing again and deleting my account this is second time with issues with Groupon *customer service is absent for consumers which are the ones generating business for them smh

Not worth it anymore. Groupon use to be great, unfortunately it’s now trash. You are able to find some decent deals for activities and goods etc but if something goes wrong their customer service is garbage. The instructions to cancel an order or request a refund don’t work on the app even on purchases that per their guidelines should. Then if you need to reach them there is no option to call at all, it’s hit and miss on if the option to chat is available and right now I’ve been waiting for over a week to hear back on a voucher that doesn’t work. I previously tried getting help through chat and they did nothing but tell me to take screen shots when I tried to use the voucher again, which I wasn’t able to do at that time because the voucher was appointment based. So I did what they told and was advised that I would hear back in 24 hours the only thing I got back was a message saying that it was taking a bit longer and to reply any additional info. I did and it’s been a week and still nothing. This just isn’t worth it anymore. You find just a good of deal going directly to some of these merchants anyways and avoid the headache.

All around Great service. If you take Groupon for what it is you will see this it is indeed a great app. They do exactly what they have always promoted which is promoting both light and big businesses at discounted rates. People must ALWAYS remember that if they’ve had a bad experience with a specific company this has absolutely nothing to do with Groupon but with witch ever individual company they’re promoting. Now that we are in a time were almost everything is done online I will tell everyone the same secret I tell my own mother. Before buying anything online “READ REVIEWS” and once you buy something weather you enjoyed it or not write a review. If everyone did this small but important thing online shopping would be only ALWAYS an amazing experience but until that happens we are always going to have to play by ear and hope for the best! I hope this review Helps someone that’s on the fence about online shopping and using Groupon because I no me and my family love it..

It’s ok for some things. Groupon is usually good for restaurants and for merchandise, but I can’t speak for massages or anything like that. I can tell you that customer service is atrocious. I was looking at something and when I went to the ‘buy’ screen, it asked me if I wanted another thing and I just clicked on purchase and I didn’t realize I was purchasing the other thing as well. When I saw the price and realized that something was wrong, I went in and canceled the order. I went back to my Groupons and I didn’t see the items so I re-purchased just the item without the second thing. Turns out I bought it twice. The cancellation didn’t happen so they shipped out both to me in two separate packages and charged me for shipping. Trying to get a hold of customer service in the app is impossible and it’s the same on the website.I finally reached out to them on Facebook messenger and got a response, but it took a while. I remember when Groupon used to have a phone number that you could call. Now they want you to use the chat feature on the app, but it doesn’t work very well. I just kept saying installing and getting me nowhere.

A Sad Decline. Groupon used to be amazing. Great deals, good customer service, easy to use. I don’t know what happened, but man oh man have things gone downhill. There are still good deals, but the app is slow and buggy so watch out to make sure you’re not double charged. And if you need a refund or help with an order, good luck getting any service from Groupon since they got rid of their customer service phone number and now have an all automated chat or email system. I’ve initiated 3 chats and an email about a purchase I made that has been showing as “pending” for over a day and have yet to get a satisfactory reply or resolution. The chat is ridiculous. It takes hours to get a response from an actual person, and they just keep asking the same questions over and over. Also, no notification from the app when a new chat message is posted so it’s on you to remember to check it. And when I tried going the email route, the reply I got referred me to their customer service chat. It’s sad. Groupon used to be great, now I’d rather just pay full price for something than deal with the headaches of their poor technology and customer service.

False Advertisement. I purchased a package for laser hair removal. It was a 2 medium areas package. The day I was like YES I NEED THIS, there was an additional 50$ off which was a huge incentive for me to get it that particular day. Groupon had listed “Full Bikini (women)”, and “Full Brazilian” as two separate “medium areas”. As a women I was confused because I thought these two areas were the same. However I was like well maybe there’s something I don’t know. So I made the purchase and when I tried to schedule with SEV laser, I was told those two areas are in fact the same (as I thought) and that I would have to upgrade to the large package through Groupon or forfeit my second medium area, which I didn’t want to do. So after multiple emails with customer service. I was essentially told there was nothing they could do for me, and they weren’t willing to give me my additional $50 off because it was a daily promotion. Which I understand, however had their information been correct from the beginning, I would've purchased the correct package to suit my needs and been able to use the $50 off. And as I’m writing this review, the ad still has the wrong information. So so disappointing.

Pretty Fair. I think coupon is a great market place a collaboration of many markets a good bang for your bucks but as far as the merchants they need to concentrate on getting peoples orders correct as for as the sizes and stop double and triple sending the same thing the same products at times I am like who’s paying for this ? Seriously !! I also don’t care for the having to return these products when they make these mistakes I think they need to change the system on how to contact their company it should be by telephone with a live person not just these chats or emails seriously Groupon you need an customer service phone number that works and not just a recorded message telling you to go to a live chat where are you only have a few secs to type your response or it will cut you off and you have to start over again, Other than that it’s a really great help you get really great products for what you pay for merchants! Just ease up on the shipping cost !!!!! Lol.

Website completely shut down. Groupon has been completely shut down for some reason and I was just on their website and app trying to make a purchase and it completely shut down on me right when I was going to complete my purchase. This is very frustrating and I’m trying to get to the bottom of it but I can’t because I went on a desk top computer to find out and still shut down I went onto my app and I deleted the app and then re-downloaded the app and still it’s shut down. I don’t know what’s going on with this company but I’m a Groupon plus member and I should not have to go through this for days now. I will be canceling my services with Groupon. Not only that I was on their website and their app to try to purchase this deal that I was getting 50% off at that moment but now if Groupon wants to re-open I will not get the same deal and it’s hard to even speak to someone because they don’t have phone services anymore which is another inconvenience to their customers. It just seems that companies shut down their phone services so they don’t have to deal with customers complaining about their businesses. Not cool not fair and I don’t trust this company anymore so I will be canceling my services

First impressions. The product was fine, Groupon on the other hand, not so much. My first ever experience with Groupon I had ordered a drone. In checkout I was asked if I would like an extra battery for 10 dollars. I decided that was a good idea. At check out the screen told me the estimated time it would take to be delivered to me would be 2 days. 2 days later it said 7 days. 8 days later I received the drone with only 1 battery. The app and website were difficult to navigate which is probably how they like it, but also I’m oldish and perhaps am technologically stupid. I finally found Groupon live chat and the seemingly automated response texts took forever. The whole live chat thing probably lasted 20 minutes and somehow our connection together was conveniently disconnected directly after I had had enough and said to give me store credit instead of money back on my credit card which I told the “person” a couple of times but they conveniently did not respond to... I got back on the app and now have 5 dollars in store credit although the extra battery cost 10 if I remember correctly... unfortunately they have so many deals I’ll continue to buy and this with fall on deaf ears.

They stopped allowing you to reuse the money on expired groupons. I used to buy Groupons with the security knowing if one happened to expire, I could just get the value of it to buy new groupons. I bought several spa ones at one point. Had to go out of town for several months on a family emergency. Came back and was surprised they changed their policy. The spa now wanted me to pay the difference of the groupon from the full price, even though they still had ongoing groupons at a cheaper price. So I had to decide, pay $33 for a new groupon? Or pay $60 for a full price visit (minus the value of the original groupon). Since I found out they always have a groupon, or get a discounted ticket always available at a grocery store next door, I’m actually paying MORE if I want to used the expired groupon. Having written Groupon several times letting them know I wouldn’t have bought so many if I knew they would change their policy on expired groupons, and the spa refusing to extend/honor the old ones, I got stuck with needing to overpay if I wanted to use them. I learned my lesson and only buy one at a time now, but it would have been nice if they gave me a grandfathered one time courtesy credit.

Get names and titles. I had a hotel stay booked and I had to cancel due to my daughter being admitted to the hospital. I called the hotel who advised me I needed to contact Groupon. I spoke to a representative at Groupon who assured me she would take care of it and I was in the 72 hour window and it wouldn’t be a problem. I was not granted a refund - Groupon said it was because the hotel would not grant it because I hadn’t cancelled in the allowable time. I spoke to the hotel and it was Groupon who had not notified the hotel for several days after I had spoken to their representative. I was very disappointed in this level or lack of customer service. I spoke to several people and it was as if they were reading a script to me. Super frustrating! I did try to escalate the matter but was told someone would call me the next day even though it was 3 pm. I never heard back. The hotel- Foxwoods representative recommended I file a complaint with hotel management regarding Groupon not handling this properly from the beginning. I am a mother of five I don’t have money to just throw out the window. Thanks to the person I spoke to at Groupon that is exactly what I did. I had a sick child and then this on top of it- very unacceptable way to treat a customer.

Attempted to purchase a horse riding lesson. For 4 days I’ve struggled to get ahold of a single helpful person. I tried to buy my daughter riding lessons from a stable with Groupon. The failed to process my card as apparently it can fail if you screen goes black or you exit the screen before it’s done processing or they have high volume traffic on their site. I attempted to change payment method to hopefully continue the purchase and kept the screen open. It refused to process still. Each time I entered live chat I was sent the list of troubleshooting techniques that is clearly already listed when you enter the chat and the chat was ended before I could ask for my order to be canceled. I emailed Groupon and requested a call, a cancellation or any response, it’s been 3 days still nothing. Today I started the chat with DO NOT SEND ME THE TROUBLESHOOT GUIDE. According to the guide I need my order cancelled so I can repurchase. This time they cancelled the failed orders and then hung up again immediately upon deciding I was done with questions. I won’t be buying from Groupon again. The customer service is disgusting and there’s absolutely no way to call in and reach anyone at any point.

Not a fan kids rating. So my girls are 13, 12 and 10. After two and half hours they were bored and asked to leave. Didn’t find the lazy river or slides thrilling enough to spend another minute there. I did however, find the front window and entrance staff engaging and extremely helpful. I spent the extra money for the Oasis and then the eat and play tickets. My girls found the tickets confusing since they were told that someone would bring them their food and drinks to the Oasis when they were ready. As they tried to leave a waitress told them they needed to pay $50 for their (each) 1 slice of pizza, fries and a drink. They still had their food tickets. One of my daughters was able to leave the park to obtain my credit card. I was thrilled the same employees where still working the window and quickly assisted me with the mix up. Thank you for hiring carrying older workers that know how to handle customers and problem with ease. It was my pleasure to tip the staff member that served them but obviously they need to have a little training on working with younger not so savvy kids.

Great options, great prices, BUT.... Follow-up: the movie passes were unusable with covid and getting the $$ back is not working so far. I got the Sam’s membership but didn’t take a screenshot so there is no way to verify the freebies, not with Groupon, not with Sam’s. They still take $$ for places that haven’t been open for a year. If there is special shipping, chances are the product’s final cost will be exorbitant. Still glad for Rusted Orange but never buy bulbs or something with a delay in knowing if it works, because you won’t be able to return it! My main regret is that some things are just too difficult to return by mail but overall the products are as described, especially if you read the comment section. It’s a terrific way to try new products you might never have considered otherwise (like Rusted Orange creations). They are beginning to have even my local theaters and chiro. This seems like the start of something good. Paying extra for Select is a mixed bag: you can’t use it with similar discounts (that you don’t have to pay for!) I am dropping it as the discounts are available most of the time. Now, a year later, so many things paid for and lost. Be very careful.

Be careful. I recently purchased a Groupon for a service and when I called they said they no longer had a Groupon account and could not honor it . Then finally said they were under new management , new owner and to ask for a refund. Ok , weird but ok , but then when I went to get a refund the app refused to allow that as an option! Which is absurd , a situation like that warrants a refund . So I tried signing in on the web instead of the app and still no. So I called , and got an answering machine service which stated that due to Covid their office was no longer open . Well it’s open to take my money but not open to refund it when necessary? Not cool. Also ... customer service jobs can be done at home , without risking dealing with the public in person . This is just unprofessional. I’m not going to be doing business with them anymore until some resolution and reassurance can be given that refunds will be offered when necessary, especially now when a lot of small businesses are closing , refunds being allowed is mandatory . I dont want a credit to use on another Groupon I also might n out be able to use , seriously . This was once a great app to save money.. not anymore, now they just take your money and run .

Groupon use to be great. I would give it 0 stars but unfortunately it’s not an option. I’ve been a long term customer and was absolutely happy with the Groupons I purchased until I started buying higher priced services. I generally like to do research before I purchase items online but this time I made the mistake and went ahead and made a purchase in which while further speaking and researching permanent makeup services in my area seem like a scam. For example the first Groupon I bought for this specific service required you buy a Groupon and you still had to pay$200 out of pocket, then there was the second one I purchased they did not specify any extra out of pocket but they did not finish my work or asked to come back for inspection like most of these places do, I imagine with hopes I’d buy a second Groupon. Either way after further pleading my case with pictures and proof that it took me about 4 months to use my Groupon I was offered 10% of the value of my Groupon which if you understand permanent makeup is PERMANENT so I’m left with different size wings and pointing opposite directions, in my opinion look very unfinished. Anyway sorry for the rant, but just beware. You get what you pay for.

Groupon to the rescue. Thank you, Groupon. You have saved me from disappointing myself. I have been so busy at work and overwhelmed with so many other things that I knew Mother’s Day was coming, but I did not have the time or lots and lots of money to go out and buy expensive flowers so quickly die in a week. doing a quick search on Groupon I was able to find the perfect Mother’s Day/birthday gifts for my mother and aunt and I am so grateful that you are there to cover me when things are tight. also, I know I shouldn’t have because this is really his responsibility, but I was able to pick out something nice for my husband‘s mother as well. So again thank you so much Groupon for backing me up. Once again grew upon his come to the rescue. It is a day before Father’s Day now and I was able to find what I hope is the perfect gift for my husband and my dad and I hope they enjoy it. Thanks Groupon for being there as the last minute.

Great application!. I’ve been using GroupOn for about 3/4 years if I’m not mistaken and I hope I don’t jinx myself by saying this, but I have never had an issue! Great application and great prices! Update Feb 13th, 2019: The only issue I recently experienced was customer service. I tried to cancel an order that was placed less than 12 hours ago and that was not possible, the agent said that I must cancel in the same day, if they check their emails I tried to cancel within less than 20 minutes of the purchase but their office was closed so how am I going to cancel the same day if you’re not open? The purchase was made at 11:37pm I tried to cancel less than an hour after less than 30 minutes even. Now I have to wait to receive the order and then return it to you. Basically 3 weeks probably to get my money back and the product hasn’t even been placed in a box to ship. Groupon application and products are awesome, but I think it’s unfair that you can’t cancel an order especially if it’s been less than an hour. They told me I have to cancel the same day but that’s not an option if their office is closed...

Be careful purchasing tickets!. I’ve used Groupon for a long time, it has been overall a good experience. Not until recently I had issues with the purchase of concert tickets. They were refunded to me by Groupon without ANY type of notification. Only on the weekend of the even, when I looked on “my Groupons” I found out we didn’t have it!! The worst part was reaching Customer Service it (or lack of it). First of all, there’s no longer a 1800 number available to call. There’s a chat line, or you can leave a message. It became clear that they’re incompetent and a nightmare to deal with. They definitely do not take care of you. They don’t even try. In my case they just told me sorry, the event sold out and we could no longer accommodate it. Note that I bought these tickets from Groupon over 1-2 months in advance. And it was a kid’s concert, for my 3 and 4 year olds. So now we had pay high prices for last minute seats, but when we get there, more than half of the seats are empty and available!! They weren’t sold out! Very disappointing. Be careful when purchasing event tickets from them, apparently there’s no purchase guarantee.

BEWARE Groupon will STEAL your money. I will edit this review if the problem is ever resolved. I was gifted a Groupon gift card and upon trying to use it, I was unable to check out. Support informed me that I needed to add a credit card, even though it would not be charged. I do not have any credit cards and so I purchased a prepaid card. This didn’t work either and then I was out an additional $6 for the fee of the prepaid card. I was then informed I could use PayPal. The only way to use PayPal is to buy something with PayPal on Groupon before using credits because if you are applying credits, the app doesn’t ask for your PayPal information! It just throws an error! I informed support of this BUG (or should I say SCAM if it is intentional and not a bug) and they only talk in circles “you can add a credit card”. They talk in circles because you get a new agent every time who only responds to the most recent email and doesn’t review any of the screenshots or other details that have been provided to report the BUG. So now the account is loaded with my Groupon gift card but I have NO WAY to use it. Absolutely appalling way to treat people who do not support having credit cards and living a debt ridden life! WORST GIFT EVER.
