Peekaboo Wild App Reviews

Cute little app for short-term entertainment. My son really liked this app before he turned 2 (but now he's on to apps that are a little more advanced.) Good to keep a little one entertained when standing in line or waiting at a restaurant. All of the peek-a-boo apps are basically the same, but with different scenes/animals. Would also highly recommend the Duck-Duck-Moose apps if your toddler is ready for more educational apps.

great toddler app. I really like this app, and Peekaboo Barn as well. Easy for toddlers to use, and expands their animal knowledge past the familiar barnyard crew. My 2 year old sons love it.

Really cute!. My daughter, who is 20 months, really likes these peekaboo games! Barn is her favorite but she likes Wild very much too. I like that it does a good job of teaching the different animals. Worth the money I spent!

Great concept!. Love this and Peekaboo Barn, but would love to be able to hear the animals better before the reveal. Would also love to have the option for adult/ correct pronunciation in both titles. I use these with kids with special needs and they are great tools but would be even more useful with a little tweaking! Are you planning more titles? Thanks.

Big Fans. My 18 month old son loves this app and so do I. He now knows many of the animal names. It also has saved us from major meltdowns at restaurants, doctor office visits, long car rides, etc. We also have Peek-a-boo Barn. I love the graphics and the voice of the child is super cute!

Crash alert!. This always crashes! And it freezes my phone for 10 minutes. My daughters love the game. But they are too young to figure out what to do when the game freezes. This app deserves 1 star. But because my daughters love it, it gets 2 stars.

Awesome!. My toddler loves this and "barn". Swear that she learned her animals more from this than anything else (and I don't let her play it that often!). Wish I could find more apps like this for toddlers as these are the best ones I've seen by far! As far as saying this isn't as good as "barn"...domt agree as my toddler usually asks for this one first. I was surprised when working on a new puzzle with her and she picked up the ostrich and told me it's name! I know that she learned it from this game! PLEASE MAKE MORE TODDLER APPS LIKE THIS ONE!

Recently has started to crash. I have been using recently for kiddos and it keeps crashing at the jungle animals. I haven’t had any issue before this started. The music is really fun!

Not as good as peekaboo barn.... ...whereas peekaboo barn has a very clear animated interaction point (the barn), my 9mo doesn't quite get the concept that the waving grass is the interaction point in peekaboo wild. It is quite a bit more abstract if you consider it from a little one's perspective. Seems a bit slower as well, less responsive. If you don't gave either, peekaboo barn is FAR superior in my opinion (and my baby's).

3 Year old loves it in English and Spanish!. This is a lovely program - beautiful graphics, great sounds, a rockin' intro sound that get my three year old giggling and dancing with anticipation and a very sweet and mellow "good night" ending that makes taking the phone away much easier than with other apps. Well designed and well thought out. The only thing that would have given it 5 stars is more animals, but that would probably make it too long.

Volume??. This game was great until recently. Now the volume is so low that you can't hear anything. The volume is fine for my other toddler games and I have even set the volume to it's highest setting, but that hasn't helped either. Now my toddler doesn't want to play this game anymore.

Not enough animals. Not enough animals for the little ones, would rate five if you give us an update with others

Love it!!. Our 20 month old little boy can't get enough of this! He makes the animal noises and is learning the names of the animals so fast!

Very cute. This is worth it. My little 3rd old has loved it for over a year now

Disappointed in the animation changes. I don't plan to update this app anymore. We have all the peekaboo apps; Barn, wild, forest. We loved the old animations from about five years ago. But now they update each app and destroy the eyes. Instead of having normal eyes with color, the animals now have eyes too big for their heads & dilated pupils. :( They all look like they are on drugs.

Great change of pace for Peek. Barn lovers!. My daughter LOVES peekaboo barn & I was delighted when Wild came out! She loves it too & gives us 10 MORE animals to learn with (not to mention giving the parents a change of pace!). Those who complain about slow must have loaded phones. Mine has never been slow, either app.

My 1 year old loves this app. My 1 year old son loves this app. He has been playing since he was 9 months old and it has helped on many long plane rides. Thank you!

App not working. The app isn’t opening up. It is just staying on a white screen. I don’t see where I can contact someone regarding this matter.

Wild crashes everytime!. This follow up to Peekaboo Barn is completely derivative. Instead of a barn background, you have grass. The animals are new. The music is different. And unlike the stable original, Peekaboo Wild has never run on 2 different iPhone3G phones without crashing. Until they fix the crashing, there is no point to paying for it.

Update is adorable and fun. My toddler plays this all the time and squealed with delight at the new update. Many more animals and places. Thanks & great job!

Baby loves this!. Wild is just as much of a hit as Barn! My 13 month old loves it. It's a great distraction to ward off a stop in Meltdown City! Perfect app for the younger set.

BaBOON!. My daughter has loved this app since she was 10 months old! When she sees my phone, she says "baboon! Babooon!" I've even printed a captured image of the baboon for her room. Love this app!

Fun app for toddlers. My 1 year old has been a fan of Peekaboo Barn, and is now a big fan of Peekaboo Wild. Would like to see more language options. Good app.

Love it!. My 12 month old loves this game!!! He really likes how the shapes appear when he touches the screen!

Crashing iOS 14. App has started crashing on iOS14 iPad 7th Gen. Always happens on the fourth “location” on the first animal.

Why does the giraffe look like Stewie from "The Family Guy?". Others have complained about "slow transitions," but I think it's just as good as Peekaboo Barn. I get bored with it after three or four animals, but I'm not 2 anymore. My baby girl loves this, and would play it until my iPhones battery died if I let her.

Great, but give us more!. My daughter lives Peekaboo Barn and I can't wait to show her this cute sequel. My only suggestion would be to occasionally update both programs with more animals.

Spoiled to Peekaboo Barn!. This is better than a lot of apps for toddlers, but not as good as Peekaboo Barn(we gave 5 star review, it's awesome!). My toddler is not as entertained, however I'm not sure why. I thought some of the animals could use improvement. It does seem to have a crash issue on my 3G, hope that gets fixed soon (or I am able to get the iphone 4!) Still like this game ok, looking forward to updates and more animals...

Horrible charicatures. We used to love these apps. My visually impaired son loved the animals. They were changed long ago to dumb caricatures that don't remotely resemble what they used to look like. Bugged out eyes and deformed bodies that are hard to make out in the busy background. Horrible design for kids with special needs. They never should have messed with the app.

My 15 months old loves it. Love this app just as much as peekaboo barn. 2 recommendations. Can we include a monkey maybe a gorilla and a rhinoceros? I'd ditch the baboon, I'd rather have my girl know what sound a monkey makes. Other than that great app for my girl! Thanks!!! :)

My daughter loves this. I was hoping something like this would come out. She loves it and I like it too! Pretty graphics, fun variety. Highly recommend for toddlers.

Love it!. We have many if their apps and love them. I like that you can choose the kids voice or adult. The adult voice is a better model but my son likes the kids voice better.

Peekaboo wild. My grandson 2yr old enjoys this program. Needed only a little help at first. He learned name of the animals and began saying names before the program. Fun fun fun. His night time request. GranMa peekaboo wild Please excellent program. Thanksy

My 18 mos old loves it. He now loves it even more than Peekaboo Barn. I only wish it moved a bit faster (like Barn) and had some more/different animals, but we still love it!

Could improve the animal sounds. My son loves the other peekaboo games and I feel like the others have better ‘sounds’. The animations are nice though. Had to re-download it despite initial download being with a strong connection because it always crashes at the Arctic or brush.

Errors in spanish. My baby loves this app. We use it in Spanish, and have found many gramatical errors. It's "zebra" not "cebra", "leopardo" not "guepardo", "jirafa" not "girafe". Please, fix it. It's annoying. Overall, love the app, makes my baby dance and laugh.

Great toddler app. Sure my 2 yr old has plenty of more complex apps but he always comes back to this one and peekaboo barn. He has loved PB since he was 18 months and we were happy to see this new addition. It has a lot of animals we don't see much in other kids apps. Super cute and simple.

A little disappointed. I bought this because my 17 month old really likes peekaboo barn. In this version, the child's voice is difficult to hear and understand. For whatever reason, my son just doesn't like it as much.

Sound is a little off. This is a fantastic follow up to Peekaboo Barn. The excitement on my son's face was worth the price all by itself! Two minor notes though: Although "mandril" is more common than "babuino" in Spanish, there is a zoological difference and "mandril" should not be used as a translation for "baboon." Secondly, the grass noise in the game is too loud and makes it difficult to hear the animal noises we're trying to identify. Of course neither of these makes a bit of difference to my son!

Love it!. I'm a 15 year old girl, who has to watch her 2 year old brother everyday. This app really helps! It gets him to stop crying, gets him to eat, or gets him to let me cut his nails!  I recommend you get it! And while your at it, get peekaboo wild!

Great, but needs a little (very little) work. I love peekaboo barn, and this is almost as good. It would be better to me if the grass rustling noise was less pronounced. It is competing with the animal noise, especially in the case of the giraffe when it's noise is eating leaves. I don't even mind the kids only voice. I bet it would only take you 10 minutes to fix the grass volume. Great product otherwise.

Like-able. I like it, just not as much as Peekaboo Barn. Mostly was disappointed that I can't record my own voice for my baby like I could with Peekaboo Barn. But the illustrations are great and I liked that you didn't try to make the giraffe make a noise since giraffes don't have vocal cords. :) love that there is a Spanish mode, too.

Fix the mispronunciations, please. My son loves Peekaboo Barn and the only thing I didn't like was the child mispronouncing all the animal names. They fixed that in the latest update by adding the option of an adult pronouncing the names, so I was excited to see Peekaboo Wild in the App store. Unfortunately it's missing the adult pronunciation option. I wouldn't have paid for this app if I'd realized that. The child's voice is cute, but I'd prefer my son learn correct pronunciations. Instead of "giraffe" it says "giwaffe" and so on. We don't talk about ostriches so he's not going to realize it's not pronounced "ostwich." Play-wise, the pace seems a bit slower than Peekaboo Barn but it runs well otherwise for me.

Hard to hear. I wanted to like this app more since my kids all loved Peekaboo Barn. It has potential to be a lot better. The animal sounds are incredibly hard to hear, you don't get to choose which region to visit, and you only see a few animals before you move on to another continent.

Awesome!. My 12 month old son loves peekaboo wild as much as peekaboo barn! I personally think the little girls voice is adorable. I've seen other reviews requesting an adult voice. Maybe an adult voice setting could be added, but please keep the little girls voice. It's really precious. Can't wait for new peekaboo games or maybe adding more animals. Wonderfull app!!

updates?. you guys updated peekaboo barn with a few new animals and the adult voice...can you please do the same for this one...PRETTY PLEASE! Thanks...and how about a peekaboo dinosaur? That would be awesome!

Where's the adult voice option???. Very cute however I bought this because I thought it would have the adult voice options rather than the little kid who doesn't say the words properly or clearly. That's not what I want my daughter to hear. I will give it 5 stars when it does but for now I'm not real happy about hearing the word 'wild' pronounced 'y-ode'

Sound works! Just don't turn phone ringer off.. Originally I posted "Great pictures, locations and animals but NO sound?" After reading the update notes I tried the app again this time after turning my phone ringer on (from mute) and the sound works great!

We love it!. My 19 month old loves the intro music and is now familiar with the animal names with clear enunciation. We rotate between several of the peekaboo apps. This one is favoured over peekaboo barn.

Good but some of the animal noises very difficult. Peekaboo Barn is an all time classic and my daughter has played it dozens of times. Peekaboo Wild is in the same vein, but not quite there... The animal noises are very quiet against the rustling of the grass sound and all sound quite similar (apart from the giraffe which is the sound of leaves rustling and impossible to guess).

Great app for babies and toddlers!. My daughter loves this app. She's grown up with the peekaboo apps and I hope there are more to come like maybe peekaboo jungle or peekaboo ocean. She loves them and she's been playing it since she was 6 months old and mastered it by 12 months

Not wild about Peekaboo Wild. My 18month old LOVES Peekaboo Barn and has played it for 6 months. This one is not quite as good as some of the animals are not obvious choices for a baby/ toddler to recognize and some of the sounds are a bit off. She is really scared of the hippo graphic too, even with the sound off. As in crying and flipping the phone over when she sees it!!!

Please fix. The sound doesn't work on the animals. Overall not as great as peekaboo barn which my daughter loves!

Peekaboo Returns!. Yes! my most used app on my iPhone and iPod touch (yes I have kids) is back and out of the barnyard and into the wild! I can highly recommend both apps to any aspiring purchasers. Love the vibrant drawings and new animals in Peekaboo Wild but agree with previous reviewer re animal sounds needing improvement. A minor niggle though which is a great app for kids and parents alike. Already looking forward to the next instalment in the Peekaboo series!

Great for babies!. My 10 month old loves this game. We have this one and Peekaboo Barn; I'd recommend either one. Lots of animals to keep it exciting for little ones, and it's in a great format that will keep my little guy entertained when I need to get something done in a hurry. Definitely worth buying if you have a child under 2!

French Option??. We have peekaboo barn which has a French option. Would be really nice if this app also had a French option or at the very least a recording option for parents to record in their language.

Good App - Buy Peekaboo Barn INSTEAD. My 14 month old likes this app. I bought it cause she loves peekaboo barn. Maybe it is her age, but for some reason she loves opening a barn door way more than grass.

Love Peekaboos!. This is such a nice compliment to Peekaboo Barn! The animals are adorable.

Once again, no sound.. The other peekaboo aps have worked great but this one has nothing but problems. I frequently have to delete it and reinstall. Nice variety with the new addition but frustrated.

No animal sounds. I just updated my peekaboo wild app and now the animals make no sound, but the other sounds work fine. Can someone fix that?

Too slow. The transitions are painfully slow .. Not recommended for kids who have seen more beautiful things on the iphone

PeekaBoo Wild. Not impressed. The chosen animals in the wild could have been more familiar animals that kids would become accustomed to. My grandson love peekaboo barn and I would like to upgrade that one to see more animals come out of the barn.

No Sound. My daughter loves the other peek a boo apps and I knew she would love this one too, but the sound doesn't work. I've messed with the settings and restarted my phone with no luck. Definitely a disappointment :(

Babys favorite apps. 1 yr old loves this & peekaboo barn, I would have preffered it say "it's everybody" like peekaboo barn does, the end is her favorite part :)

Sub par graphics. All the other games in this series have better graphics. The grass is all pixelated. Oh well. At least my daughter really likes the animals

Excellent. Every bit as good ad Peekaboo Barn, and no problems running it. Both my preschoolers love it.

Spanish and sound. Why no animal sounds? Why isn't the Spanish said by kids?

Not by educators! That's for sure!!!. This app is a great concept but these guys are not educators by any means! The animal names are all pronounced incorrectly by a child. That is definitely NOT how you teach children to speak! There are other apps out there that teach the animal names correctly!

Like it but .... ... I use it in Spanish and there are some spelling errors. I have both apps and are great tools to raise my kids billingual, but please I need accurate content.

Shut Down Problem. Love the peek a boo barn. The peek a boo wild shuts down after looking at three animals - will upgrade to five stars once bug is fixed.
