Good but no sound. My 3 and a half year old nephew LOVES this app. I just got a message that it needs to be updated by the developer. I hope that you update it so he can continue to play it.

Great for little kids. My kids don't read yet, so they can't play most games available for my iPhone. This one is a favorite! I'm glad there was a free version available to try. My 3 yr old loved it so much that I upgraded for more puzzles. I agree that the picture goes away too fast so I can't see what they did. The paid version should also have a menu or category feature so that we can choose puzzles if we want to. Some puzzles repeat a lot more than others.

Great app - definitely recommended. This app is amazing! I first downloaded the Lite version for my son, who was 23 months old. I didn't think he could actually play it, but that it might entertain him to watch me. I was wrong. After 5 minutes, he had figured out the concept so now I've bought the full version. It's the longest he sits still for anything! I wish there was a way to skip certain puzzles though. A few seem to come up more often than others.

Best dollar I've ever spent!. This is the Only app that my son with autism and other special needs will sit and do for more than two minutes. It is his absolute Favorite!

Best app i've purchased.. This app has to be the best one I've purchased for my son. He's almost three and loved to play with my iPhone, but he'd get bored with the other games I've purchased and frustrated. I showed him this game the other day and he's always asking me for my phone. I only had to show him how to do it once and he got the hang of it. He LOVES it. Thank you thank you thank you. =)

A PERFECT App for little ones!!!!!. Educational and entertaining for my preschooler! It took no time for my child to understand how to play…and then I couldn’t get my phone back. The sound effects when the piece is put in the correct location gave him the encouragement to continue the puzzle. He has a blast with this app and I get a much needed break.

Sound!. My 4-year-old loves it but what happened to the sound!?!?? I would have given 5 stars if the sound worked. :/

Love this App!. My grandson and nephew love this app. They like to sit on my lap as they move the pieces around to create the picture. One thing that would be great is when they complete the puzzle, slowing down the time between the next puzzle. They really like to look at their completed work (picture), but it does not offer them the ability to look at the picture longer and discuss what they see. The pictures that are revealed from completing the puzzle are great!!!!

Good app but needs volume control setting. I like this app and it is great for my son. It is easy to play and you don't have to have perfect motor skills to fit the pieces into their shapes. It needs a settings button so you can preset the audio level either in the game or in the iPhone settings. I work with my phone and have the ringer set loud and the app volumes adjusted for daily use. I need to be able to hand off my phone to my son and not have suddenly make game noises loudly in a crowded environment. Or have to set my iPhone volume down when I let him use it and remember to reset my ringer back to full when he is done. One wishlist item. Give us a setting to make it more difficult as they get better at it. Take out the break lines in the middle of the shapes to make it harder. Keep the click & lock feature when they get the piece in place.

Lifesaver!. My 2.5 year old loves this game. I didn't think she would be able to complete the puzzles on her own, but she gets it done so she can find out what the picture will be. Great for car rides, restaurants, anywhere! I do wish the animation after the puzzle is solved was a bit longer. Other than that no complaints.

Save our drive. I am a mom of 3 who worked at a leading educational toys, LeapFrog, for 6 years. I researched and bought this one for my fulltime preschoolers, 4.5 & 2.5. Both love the puzzles. They are engaging and fun. We drove home from SD to SF. It was challenging to entertain on such a long drive. We pulled out this ap for my 2.5 yrs old hour 7 of driving. It occupied him for a good while. It turned his tears into smiles. I can see him smile after each puzzle. The praises are encouraging and not repetitive. Would love to see new puzzles soon.

Awesooooooooooooooooooooooooome i'm hooked & i know my 2 1/2 yrs old is gonna be hooked too, i've installed it for her to keep her busy while we r traveling on a long trip , i'm the one playing with it now :)))))) i think we r gonna fight on the plane, it's amazing, i have to thank Darren she's amaaaaaaaaazing, i had a problem with installation & i sent her an e-mail thinking she'll answer 2 or 3 days later she answered immediately & not once or twice but 100 times, whenever i ask her any question she answered me right away, honestly i've never seen anything like that loooooong time,i recommended it for my friends, clients- i work as an interior designer- & for my family, greaaaaaaat job & a greeeeeeeeeat game...

My 2 yr olds most favorite app. I’v had this shape builder app for about 3 years now. My daughter loved it and learned how to do it quickly. Now my 2 yr old son absolutely loves this app. I showed him how to do it when he was 15 months. I think it teaches him a lot of eye/hand coordination and word association. He was so upset about it not updating to IOS 11. He always grabs my phone and says “shapes mama”. I had to tell him that it needs to be updated. I emailed the developer and now it’s updated for IOS 11!! He will be so excited to be able to play shapes again.😁 Thank you so much for updating his favorite app. 👏🏼👏🏼 👍🏼

Has no sound. I just spent $2.99 on this app for the sound not to work very disappointed! Needs to be fixed before taking someone else's money.

Excellent app for preK. My 3-year-old daughter mastered this game very quickly and loves it - we sit together and talk about what piece goes where, what the end picture might be, and what sounds the animal or musical instrument makes once the puzzle is done, so it's got great potential for interactive play. My five-year-old son, who is autistic, also mastered this game quickly and I believe his using it is helping him progress with object labeling, spatial organization, and numbers - also lots of potential for interactive play. Both kids have benefitted greatly from this app and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Surprisingly Good. My 2 year old has enjoyed the game for a few months now. When I first watched her play it, I didn't think it would catch her imagination, mostly because the puzzle pieces themselves are such uninteresting shapes. However, the touch and sounds when you pull a piece into place are great. My daughter also loves to guess what the final shape will become and it's nice that sometimes they are so unpredictable. I don't like that sometimes the unpredictable ones are so illogical - and more "trick" than "ah, of course". Still, a great app- one of the few she will play for a long time.

excellent app for toddlers. we love this app and it made travel with my toddler a breeze on many occasions. it teaches so many things to kids - develop focus, motor skills and the smile on my son's face when he solves a puzzle is priceless. must have for parents with pre-schoolers. Thank you and keep adding more shapes.

love it. This is a great puzzle for my son with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He loves puzzles but does not have the fine motor skills to manipulate pieces and this is perfect for him. The pieces snap into place easily. He can be independent in this puzzle and it's one of his favorites. I should say that he is 21 years old but this is his skill and interest level. The only thing that we would like is more puzzles like this.

Fantastic application for our little guy!. We were leery of downloading an application for our 2 1/2 year old but boy were we wrong! ShapeBuilder is the perfect application for our son when we are waiting in a doctor's office or restaurant. Plus we love to sit on the couch together as a family and go through 10 or 20 puzzles, he simply loves it. The puzzles are challenging but simple enough that a child under 3 can figure them out. The graphics are vibrant and an excellent mix of animals, people, objects and more. And most importantly, the sounds are superb! The payoff for completing a puzzle correctly, the reading of the word and a fun sound that accompanies it, which our son loves. Overall, we highly recommend Shape Builder. There isn't a better $.99 you can spend on iTunes if you are a parent. Enjoy!

Shape Builder Is Fantastic!!!! My 2 yr old LOVES it.... This is MORE than worth the 99 cents to upgrade to the full version. I downloaded the "lite" and my 2 yr old was fighting me for my Itouch to play this. My husband showed him how to move one or two pieces and the rest is history... He is 27 months old. What a great dexterity lesson, not to mention seeing and matching the shapes, etc. It is the BEST. I had some trouble downloading it to my Itouch and Darren, the creator, returned an email immediately and has been SO helpful in seeing me through the easy fix. Bravo Darren, can't wait to see what you do next !! Thanks so much...

wonderful game. my child loves this... he comes back again and again to it. I love that it helps him build spatial and logic skills. definitely recommended!! to the person wondering how to get the app back after your kid deleted it... if you back up to your computer, your app should be there (always transfer purchases to your computer), and sync again, and the app should reappear on the phone. good luck!

My 2 year old LOVES this app!. I love it because it teaches him so many cognitive skills. He learns letters, numbers phonics, and can now identify instruments and animals that he had not been exposed to. Parents who see him doing this are amazed, and they love that there is something like this out there "making it worthwhile" to own an iPhone. It may take a smaller child a few tries with Mom or Dad to get it, but the sensitivity is not as bad as some of the other puzzle apps out there. My two year old will work with this between 30 minutes to an hour on average if we let him. Thanks for such a great application! $0.99 is a steal!

Good app (needs updating) and please fix the sound. Audio does not work. My 3 year old loves this and plays it on another device where the audio works. When downloading this on our device there is no sound. Would like to see the app updated and the audio fixed.

Daughter's favorite app. This is a great educational application. My 4 yo daughter loves puzzles and can't stop playing. The educational value comes from once the puzzle is complete, there are numbers that are learned, and the phonetics are given for letters that are produced. The one recommendation that I would have would be the ability to either manually go from one puzzle to the other (it may be there, but I could not find it). This would allow the player time to really understand the numbers that come up, or to see the picture created. We are learning the numbers 10 - 19 now, but there is no time to count that high before the next picture comes up. Thanks for a great app. Keep the new shapes coming.

A MUST HAVE... x2 !!. My kids were fighting over this game so my husband and I each bought the app for our phones! A great educational game for the kids. Such a variety of puzzles, and so many different puzzles they never get bored. The sound effects are fun and encouraging.  Very easy to use; great practice for fine motor skills, too. Turn the sound off for a quiet time game for waiting at a restaurant- the options are endless! Highly recommended. 

It's very good, but...... This is a very good puzzle program for the touch screen. My 2 year old loves it. I really like that there are just enough pieces that she feels challenged without making it too hard. I love that the program says what the item is after the puzzle is completed, showing a color picture of the object and saying it, too, but I do wish there was a way to...'pause' it. Sometimes, I would like to talk to her about the item shown, to count the hearts or sharks or whatever, to reinforce the educational aspect of this game. Another little annoyance to me is that the puzzles never end. That's great if you are trying to keep your child occupied, but when you are trying to get your child to stop, for whatever reason, there is always another puzzle, too quickly after the last one is completed. I wish there was a pause button or a next arrow or something rather than just an instant 'next puzzle'. If that was available, this would be a definite 5 stars, a practically perfect app for parents and little ones! It's still good and worth buying, but it could be just a little better, hint, hint! :)

No Sound. I've tried this on two iPads and the sound for the game doesn't work on either.

Love it!. I have a 20 month old boy and he loves this app. It is easy for him to use and he really likes the sounds and pictures. It's great that he is learning the names for all the letters and has fun with it. Highly recommend this app. It's worth the 99 cents to get the full version.

Happy to see update for ios 11. This is one of our favorite apps. It is an easy puzzle app, with pieces which snap into place, and visual and auditory reinforcement. I’m so happy to see the update for ios 11!

Great app. My 18 month old loves it

Fun for preschoolers. This is a great app for preschoolers. Our 3 year old loves it and can easily play it without any help from us. I like that it tells her the name of the puzzle when she finishes. There have been several puzzles that she didn't know what it was and so it is helpful to have it named. Our 6 year old also likes to play with it for short periods. It is a fun and simple learning game.

Great, but could be better.... My two yr old loves this app, and my 5 year old loves helping him learn with this app...great for a little brother sister bonding. I really like how clearly you can hear the way the words are pronounced. Certainly worth the money! I'm teaching Spanish to my daughter and am thinking about purchasing the Spanish version for her. Two things I would love to see changed.... 1. The puzzles move to quickly from one to the next that there is no time to talk about what he "created"...would be nice to have a way to pause it or a mode where you had to prompt it to move on to the next puzzle. 2. Wish there was a way you could select the category of puzzles you want. I'm working on number an letter recognition with my son right now would love to incorporate this "game" into his learning. If these two things were changed, would give it five stars for sure!

Great app, but would like to see additional features. As an occupational therapist, I purchased this app to use with my kiddos in our treatment sessions to help improve their visual perceptual skills. One additional feature I would like to see added in future updates would be an option to rotate the puzzle pieces to make them fit to their corresponding places. Also, I would like to see added is a back button or an option to vew previous completed puzzles. Other than that, great app!!!

BUY THIS, a review from someone who doesn't write reviews......... I've had this app for two or three years, our two grandsons fought over it a few years ago, "it's myyyy turn Nona, he did two", was a common plaintive cry. Now a few years down the road our granddaughter is recently two and we have yet another Darren Murtha fan. Shape builder and the Matching game are her favorites. I find D. Murtha's apps to be very educational, attention grabbing and fun 'games' for children. I wish something like this had been available when my children were young. Great app, I'd say, "BUY IT!!", if someone with children to entertain/teach asked me.

Must have app for toddlers!. We purchased the Proloquo2go for my little guy, age 3, that can't speak and he was having problems with learning how to push the small buttons on the screen. This was the perfect app to get him used to using the screen and moving things around on it. Great learning tool for him and kept his interest for hours! I highly recommend this if your little one is having trouble running the itouch...

Well done!. These puzzles are not simple, so I was delighted when my two year old, who has delayed learning, figured out how to work them in a matter of minutes. Great graphics, intuitive design, and a wide range of common objects and animals with matching sound. Provides a great learning experience as well as being entertaining. Very well done.

Absolutely fantastic! 3-year-old LOVES it. My daughter is just starting to play with interactive games on the computer, and on a whim I started her playing a simple game on my iPod Touch. She caught on immediately, and I realized that I had just bought myself a very valuable few minutes... so I promptly went looking for more good apps. I've found several, but this one is by far the best: top notch production, lots of puzzles (though we could use many many more!), and simple, compelling gameplay that my daughter can't put down. As we speak she has been playing with it for almost an hour, allowing me to complete a very important phone conference and send many emails. I am probably going to buy the Spanish one as well, and if they release expansions or versions for older audiences, I will buy those too. Based on the strength of this release, I need to check out everything by this author. STRONGLY recommended.

Shape Builder for Special Education Students. As a preschool special education teacher I absolutely love Shapebuilder. It is great for building fine motor skills and visual motor integration. Both skills are necessary pre-writing skills. The children would love when we had extra time and I would let them play on my iphone. It was also great for when the students had to wait for the bus or during other transitions. I am working with my school to buy ipod touches to use with students. I can’t wait, so I use my phone.

entertaining. I've downloaded a lot of toddler apps, and they have different staying power. Some, my son will open once and not again, but this one is a hit. My 18 month old loves solving the puzzles - he's building his vocabulary, improving manual dexterity, and having fun. He gets a real sense of accomplishment when finishing a puzzle and he loves the sounds following puzzle completion.

Please update so we can keep using!. We love this app!! Please update for iOS 11!

Great Kids Game. My two kids love this app. The graphics are very well done and the sound effects are spot on. I was surprised at the number of puzzles Shape Builder provides. It's cool watching my 3 year old learn how to drag the puzzle pieces around on the iPhone screen...he gets all excited when he hears the "click" of the shapes going into place. It's a deal for .99 cents.

Daughter plays this for hours. This is the first app I dowloaded for my daughter. She played it for 2hrs straight. And that was the lite version. Had to get full version. She plays it every day. It's a great way for her to work on hand/eye coordination and reinforcing letters/phonetics. It would be great to add an option that only shows shapes that become letters/numbers/other. All letters should be available and have the phonectic sound along with an easily recongizable object/animal starting with that letter. Please continue to add more shapes and take these suggestions into consideration. Thank you.

Great App. My two year old loves the puzzles and works great!

Puzzle Builder totally worth the price - forget the lite version!. This App rocks! My 3 year old will play it for hours if I let him. It comes in handy on those nights we go out and there is a 45 minute wait at the resturant. He just sits in the corner rocking out those puzzles. I love the fact it says what the item is becuase he always repeats it which helps him develop a larger vocabulary.

Love It!!. I started with the lite version and had to immediately buy the full version because my 22 month old son loved it so much. I didn't think he'd be old enough for it, but he got the hang after just a few rounds of watching mommy. It's great to watch him learn a new skill while being so entertained! It has already saved us in the dr office, restaurants, and just at home fending off meltdowns. We've got about 10 apps and this is his fav! (Itsy Bitsy Spider is 2nd). He showed his 5-year-old cousin how to use it and she loved it too.

Great Game and Prompt Customer Service. My 2 1/2 yr old son absolutely loved the free version of this game - by far his favorite on the ipod - so purchasing the complete version was a no-brainer. I had some trouble downloading the complete version and emailed Darren Murtha after iTunes Support was unable to figure out the problem. And, contrary to what another reviewer wrote, the customer service for Shape Builder was excellent and prompt. In fact, Mr. Murtha responded to my initial email via telephone AND email just a couple hours later. And, he was able to help me fix the problem I was having immediately. My son and I are definitely satisfied customers!

Awesome!!. I originally bought this app on my husbands nook. I ended up getting it on my iPad b/c my two year old wouldn't leave the nook alone ;-). He absolutely loves this app!!! When we had to travel yesterday it kept him happy for an hour!! That's just about impossible for a two year old. My other children ages 7,5, and 4 also love this app. Well worth the .99!

This has been a hit!. Our toddler (just turned 3) cannot get enough of this. I've not seen her concentrate so long on one activity. She loves the satisfying noise as each piece clicks into place and the rewarding sounds and pictures when each puzzle is complete

Thoroughly engaging!. Little Miss Two has been a puzzle fiend since forever, and she loves this iPad app because its always different. I hear her exclaim with excitement at the lovely surprises when it's a picture she wasn't expecting, hear her say things like 'sheep' when she recognises the outline and she plays this game for way longer than a two year old is supposed to have an attention span of! Recommended for sure! Not only for littlies either, must say I love playing it too :p

My 3yo LOVES this. It's great for little fingers.. She has a ball. The only downside is that the touch sensitivity isn't that accurate, as the piece will slide around under her finger (eg, touch the middle of a piece, move it around the screen, and when you finish moving, you'll be touching the edge, or the bottom, or the piece would no longer even be under your finger). A minor bug that I hope they fix in an update. Apart from that, highly recommended for the young ones.

Great for young children. My two year old son loves this. So does my 4 year old! This is a really nice app that seems to have great educational benefit. Also good for teaching some iPhone skills, eg. Click and Drag.

The kids love it!. The 4 and 5 yr old girls I babysit love this app. The pieces don't stay under their fingers occasionally. I haven't been able to figure out if the kids let go of it, or if it is a sensitivity issue with the app. The audio is beautifully clear and the lady's voice is so enthusiastic(!) that the children love the validation at the end of each puzzle. I've had the app for well over six months now and they're still asking for it :) Great job devs.

3-Year Old Totally Wrapped!. Fantastic. Appears to fit exactly the level of a just-turned 3-year old. Ours keeps going constantly for an hour each time. Learned new words too.

I've created a monster .... My daughter (3 and a half) loooooves this, with the result that "I do puzzles pleeeeease" has become a very common refrain in our house. She'll sit playing it for as long as I'll let her - which can be very helpful at times ;-) She rapidly showed marked improvements in identifying the silhouettes, identifying which puzzle bit goes where, and developing the control to use the touch-screen effectively: all good skills. In short, I would recommend this app highly to anyone not too afraid to let their toddler play with their iPhone O_O ... Make sure though that you have (a) a good case, and (b) a good screen protector ;-)

Fantastic App. This is a must have app of you have a toddler, my boys are 2 & 4 and they love it, very easy to use and they like seeing the picture once they have completed the puzzle. I recommend this app!

Mama 2 preschooler. With some basic instruction, my 3 yo DD is able to complete the puzzles. We purchased the full-version after I realised just how much fun she was having despite the puzzles repeating themselves frequently. There is some puzzles that are easier than others, the variety makes it interesting for her. Highly recommend!

Intuitive. Excellent variety and intuitive controls for a child. The 2 and 3 year old keep coming back to this one. The "stickiness" of the puzzle pieces was a great design choicer.

Fantastic application!. My son (2 years 10 months) loves this puzzle game. His little fingers can move the pieces with ease and he's now an iTouch pro. The only odd thing is sometimes the pieces float a little off from where your finger is. Great job overall, and the #1 pick for toddlers!

No longer updated. This was a great app for kids however it no longer opens with ios17

Great game for a 4 year old. the free version made me quickly decide that buying the full version was going to keep my 4 year old daughter busy when we are in boring situations (i.e. grocery shopping or at the airport). she quickly picked up how to play and loves the different puzzles. the one thing i would suggest would be adding more puzzles - and working on having the puzzles come up more randomly as it appears that they are in the same order whenever you need to restart, it seems like your doing the same ones over and over.

Fantastic!. My 4 year old autistic boy will play with this for HOURS. Nothing holds his attention & keeps him quiet like this game- very handy at church or the doctor's. Wouldn't dream of deleting!

Why does it display upside down??!. I bought this app a while ago, and like it very much for my nearly 3 year old, but I just noticed today that the app displays upside down. I think this "upside down" effect is due to an update. Developers, please fix this "bug"! Also, there is no way to get to the home page once the puzzle has started. Please fix! Thanks!

Must have for babies. We bought this app when it first came out for our son. He outgrew it, but I kept it on my iPod. It Is such a life saver during church. Our 2nd son loves this app. He plays it on the iPad and will sit literally for hours playing it. If you have kids, this is a must have app.

Our 2 year old loves this app!. He has completely figured out how to do these puzzles and he love them! Many times he'll ask, "Mom, can I play your iPod?" lol This app keeps him entertained (and quiet!) so it works well for both of us.

GREAT APP!!!. This is great for preschoolers...and even pre-preschoolers. My 2 1/2 year old figured it out after I showed him how to play just once. Now he is hooked....now if I can only get my iPhone off of him when it rings. :D

Excellent. A life saver at restaurants, doctor visits, etc.. My 2-1/2 year old loves this game and will stay engaged for 20 minutes or more at a time. It builds spatial relationship skills as well as letter and number recognition. Our ob/gyn saw her playing it and was so impressed she asked for the name so she could get it for her kids. Worth every penny and much more.

No sound effects on iPhone?!. My 2 yo daughter loves this on the iPad, with all the sounds. On both of our iPhones, the game is the same but no sounds, and she gets annoyed with it. There seems to be no way to toggle sound on/off on the phone. Is audio not included in the iPhone version? This bug prevents it from being a 5-star app for us. Fix it, and I'll review with 5-star rating.

Needs work. A nice variety of shapes, but some of the silouttes are really terrible and don't match the images at all. Half of them look really great, like someone put a lof of time into them. Some of them just look like huge blobs and it's a surprise when you find out what it's supposed to be. I'm looking at you, RECORDER! But my 3-year-old likes it, and it was free. I doubt I would pay a dollar for this, though.

Well done!. This is a really great, engaging app for younger kids. It kept a 4 yr old occupied for over an hour the first time she played. she just didn't want to put it down or play any other game! We've tried quite a few educational kids apps, and this is one of the best so far.

Great app, can be improved.. I got this app for my 2y/o daughter. She loves it, and asks for it like a gazillion times a day. Things I could be improved . The app should have a menu to select either a "Playlist" of puzzles that one can program or at least a pre set list, including only animals, numbers, fruits etc. There should be a way to skip a puzzle, also, the app should keep track of the solved puzzles in order of not repeating them in the next session. I found out later that there is a spanish version. My main language is spanish, but I encourage my girl to speak in english, it would be nice if the app could have both languages. Great job overall. A Must for Young Kids. We got the lite version and had to upgrade because my 5 and 3 year old love it so much. Keeps them busy while waiting or at the store. Very easy for kids to use. I even use it when I am bored.

Great for toddlers. My almost 3yo regularly plays this game and loves it. Highly recommended for toddlers and preschoolers! My only complaint is that it goes to the next puzzle too quickly. My son wants to show the pic to me when he's done, but it's always gone before he turns the phone around. It should have an option to tap to go to the next puzzle instead of always auto-advancing.

Exactly what I wanted for my 20mo old. This app is great! My 20 month old loves it and can solve the puzzles in ways that are both challenging and fun. I wish other young toddler apps were this straight forward.

3 year old's friend. How do you get a 3 year old to quietly sit and play for a few hours? Here is your answer. Very educational too. The interactive voice at the end of the puzzles add a nice touch. Good job! Hope to see more educational apps like this!

Sound options?. My 4 yr old grandson and I love this app, the only problem is that there's no sound options. Please add sound options, I enjoy peace and quiet, and it's much nicer not having to listen to all the sound effects. Thank you.

Also great for the mentally challenged!. I got this app for my 25 year old son who is autistic and mentally handicapped. It is now his favorite game. He likes the pictures and sounds that are presented when he finishes moving the pieces to make the shapes.

Excellent App!. My almost 5 year old niece LOVES this application! She will spend 1-2 minutes on the others but she will sit and play this one all the way through the alphabet... and then some! Every time she sees me she wants my phone to play the "puzzle" game! It'd be great to incorporate more basic reading and math to help learning.

A great little app for little kids. This is a very nice puzzle game. The sound is good, images are crisp and the game is not a sensory overload for kids. Complaint #1: the last piece placed in each puzzle never completely fits in. The shape is right but it won't drop into place before the "good job" message plays. It doesn't affect the game but just bugs me. Complaint #2: one puzzle showed a picture of an iguana and called it a chameleon. They are very different! Obviously both complaints are very minor so I still gave the app 5 stars.

Mr. My recently turned 3 year old loves this teaching tool. It has reinforced her letter recognition without her even knowing about it. She was able to recognize all of the letters on the chick fil A spinner thing. She has played Bout ten hours in 5 days.

Great App. This is a great app! My four year old loves completing the puzzles. I first downloaded the Lite version which includes 15 puzzles, but after a while my son got bored with the same puzzles over and over again. This version has 140+ puzzles which should keep him interested for quite a while.

Favorite for my 2.5yo!!. Downloaded the lite version and didn't even tell my 2.5yo. Looked down one day and she was playing and I never showed her how. Every time she grabbed my iTouch she played this game. Bought the full version and she has played through probably every puzzle without and help. Great app!!

Great!!. Bought thisfor my two yr old twins, and they mastered the concept in about 10 mins! They absolutely love this! Had to buy it for my wife's phone as well, so there'd be no fighting!!! -- now expand the program with more puzzles! They go thru them all too fast!

Great support!. I had a problem with the download of the 1.1 version of Shape Builder and so I contact the designer through the link to the Darren Murtha Design web site on the iTune page. I wrote the email late Friday night and found a reply waiting for me in my inbox the next morning. Not only was the reply quick but also personal and informative. I came away feeling supported and that the problem will be taken care of. My 2 y/o grandson enjoys this game and will be happy to see the newly added games.

This is awesome! Great work Darren!. I have known Darren forever and am proud of him! This is great app...even though my son is 2.5 years old, he loves this game and is actually getting somewhat good at it. Highly recommended. Its actually quite enjoyable for adults as well...

Engaging, Must Buy. If you have a preschooler, buy this one and s/he will have lots of fun with it. There are enough variations each time that there is high replayability. One suggestion to make it more challenging is to allow piece rotation. It is pretty good as it is though. Worth every penny.

My 4 year old loves it!. Shape builder is the first game I have seen that develops right brain thinking for children and builds confidence with shape recognition. Even children with unique learning challenges are entertained for hours while self educating with fun intuitive interaction.

2 year old heaven. this app was the biggest form of entertainment for my son when he was 2... and it was a guilt free selection b/c it has an educational element to it and was not totally cheesy and ridiculous, like so many others I've purchased. fantastic!

Can't get back to home screen. I bought this for my autistic 3 yr old and went to try it out. When it first opened it offered all shapes or specific category, I chose all and after seeing words/shapes like mandolin ....I decided he would do better starting with a food category only. Well, it won't go back to the home screen! It is stuck in this mode. Please fix this and think about adding the option of deleting odd shapes or cards.

Favorite App. Out of all the Apps for my 2 and 5 year old on my phone this is the one they spend the most time using. LOVE IT! the paid version is worth all the different puzzles.

Worth it!!!. I havev a 5 and 2 year old. 5 yo loves this game and plays it everyday! Purchased an ipod for my 5 yo for this use, got tired of cleaning my iphone everyday. Now the 2 yo fights with him for the ipod and i now have to buy another ipod for her. I cannot stress out enough how this app and all the other educational apps on the apple store really do help!

My son LOVES this app!. Anytime we are at baseball/softball/gymnastics/dance/scouting etc with our three older children, our youngest (3.5 years old) begs us to let him play Shape Builder (or Puzzle Game, as he calls it). He absolutely loves it! We started with the Lite version and were more than happy to upgrade to the paid version. It's WELL worth it.

Love it!. My 2 1/2 year old loves this game. It's amazing to watch him walk through each puzzle as quickly as he does. My only request would be to add harder levels as it seems he has already mastered most of these puzzles.

Daughter loves it. My 2.5 yr old loves it. Can get a little frustrating for her when shapes don't move the best for her. I think she may be touching with more than one finger, maybe this can be fixed with an update. Then five stars 

My son will not put it down!. Great app, I happened to find it when my 2-1/2 year old was going through a puzzle phase. I practically have to tear my phone away from him to get him to put it down. The best dollar I've spent in a long time.

Amazing app for me too!. I bought this for my little cousin because she is always bugging me to play on my iPod and I felt bad. She loves it! I tried it before and I ended up playing for half and hour. And I'm ten years old. I bring it on the bus and this Is all my friends want to play! It's so funny seeing fifth and sixth graders playing preschooler games!  Five stars definitley worth it! Love it! Also my 13 yo sister is addicted to it! This is the 1rst app on her list! She brings it for the toddlers too when she baby sits!!!

2 year old and 3 year old are addicts!. This is one of the very few apps that is capitvating for kids. Not only is our just turned 2 year old better than most adults, she is devoloping great hand eye coordination. The best part of the game is the instant feedback that the kids receive when she completes a puzzle, brilliant!

Love this game!. My soon to be 3 year old loves this game. He will literally sit for more than 30 minutes playing it. The sound effects are awesome. This game is very educational. It is hard to get the phone back once they start playing, but if you need to keep your kids busy for a short period of time, this game is it.

Shape Builder. Entertaining and educational for young children. Early primary children also enjoyed it. Only thing kept it from five stars was that some pictures sometimes repeated before all of the new ones had shown up.

Shape Builder is Educational. My 2 year old granddaughter just loves to do these puzzles and she is very good at them. I first started her out on Shape Builder Lite, but she quickly wanted more so I purchased this one. It teaches many things including shape awareness, colors and most importantly, it helps her with patience. Good app for all little ones!

More puzzles please!. My 3 and 6 both love this app. I think it's especially great for the 3 year old, very easy for him to drag a piece around to see where it fits. We are just wanting more puzzles!

Great App!. I downloaded this app to keep my 2 1/2 yr old occupied during trips to and from preschool. He loves it! It's amazing to watch the thought process a of a preschooler, and he is very good at the puzzles. Kudos to Mr. Murtha and company for developing such an entertaining and educational game! We are hoping to see what other games they come out with. Highly recommended!

Best 2-4year old app. My kids love it. I want to buy more from you all. I would like to able to play the app. In aphabetical order also so we can learn more organized. Also would be nice to introduce numbers my kids pick this app every day for the last month. Keep them comming

More images please!. Fun app for kids. My child tries to figure out what the item is before she is finished with the puzzle. She has played it so much that she knows most of the images by heart. Please add more images!

AWESOME!!!. I have a lot of toddler apps on my iPhone but the one my 18 month old loves to play is Shape Builder. She can play for hours with this game. When we are at parties my other girlsfriends see her having fun with it that they also got. Thanks so much

Happy grandma. The support behind this product is outstanding! My 2 1/2 year-old grandson loves this app. If there were more puzzles maybe they could be grouped by interest - numbers, animals, transportation, people, things, etc. It's a great app.

Love Shape Builder. Please, please, please! Give us mores games like Shape Builder. My 2 1/2 year old grandson is mesmerized by it, and wants to play day and night. He loves the shapes and sounds, and gets a feeling of accomplishment whenever he completes a puzzle.

Such a CLEVER app, and my two-year-old LOVES it!. I am amazed at how quickly she picked this up- she whizzes through each puzzle and has expanded her vocabulary as a result. I HIGHLY recommend this to any parent of a toddler- it is a great learning tool, perfect to entertain your child, and comes in handy in preventing tantrums if you ever want to dine out...

His other favorites include Paper Toss, Pole Position and Balloon Animals, but I feel best when he plays Shape Builder since it's an educational game. You took a very simple idea and implemented it perfectly. If you travel with small children, buy this app!
