Crashes. I have had it on my iPhone for several years now and it worked great. I tried to pay for the ad free version and Niebuhr crashed ALL the time. I would give 4 stars but not while this is happening. Fix it please

Love This!. I'm a huge civic's geek but you don't have to be to find this useful. No matter if you are a student or someone who's been out of school for a long time, this comes in handy. I've found it useful a few times when someone was telling me that something was in the Constitution when I knew it wasn't. Especially true during the last election. Can't beat the price either!

OK but sloppy in some parts. I’ve been using the free version of this app for years. I recently read and found very interesting the list of amendments not ratified by states. The app gets sloppy through poor use of quotation marks in some places - unacceptable! I would like more notes that provide context to the language chosen, compromises for ratification, and legal challenges and theoretical arguments that have arisen from the amendments. I find myself using other sources in conjunction with this app.

Won’t restore purchase. Going to the website support page is pointless. After entering info in the fields and hitting send NOTHING HAPPENS Just like the Restore Purchase button. Nonfunctional.

An excellent tool. First off to say things like "you can never win an argument about the constitution against a republican" and "good if you are taking a history class or if you get pulled over" is immature and irrelevant in a review. Either the product is functional or not. Either it is true to it's advertising or not. To flood the reviews with politically charged banter is a waste. So my review is... This is a great app if you are American and proud of your country. It gives Americans the ability to review and reflect on what the founding fathers invested in this great country. When you feel down about the problems we have in this country read the constitution. But do not read it like a school text book. Instead read into it's emotion. Feel the pride and determination the founding fathers felt when they created the constitution. When they won against all odds.

A Must Have. This app is a great resource for those who are interested in the political field of the United States. You can see how things like the Partiot Act were so violently unconstitutional that it makes you want to curl up in a ball and pray to the Founding Fathers. It also is the quickest opening app, minus the proprietary ones from Apple, on my 3GS. To the ignorant fool who wrote about "Barack Hussien Obama", intelligent people aren't scared by middle name you racist piece of garbage.

Search upgrade doesn’t work!. I just paid for the upgrade and when I search for “arms” nothing comes up! Piece of junk. I want my $2 back!

One of the most important apps available. No matter what the current and future sham governments may do to our rights and freedoms, we should all be knowledgable and informed about the basic ideals and and structure that this country was founded on. The FBI may think that constitutionalists are domestic terrorists, but that's what the British said about the George Washington and Co. Own your destiny, know your rights, and get educated about how the ruling class has been abusing their power and violating our rights for years. Then, do something about it.

Thanks. In a nation bursting at the seams with immigrants (legal or not) AND American citizens that don't have a clue what the Constitution says; it's great to see that somebody realizes the importance of staying grounded - getting back to the basics of what our government says about our freedoms, rights AND responsibilities. Maybe, if more people would actually read it; there would be less crime, and more fairness and better judgements in court. Thanks for doing something so worthwhile and sharing it for free. Now, a word to everyone.. READ IT, LIVE IT, LOVE IT - This is what separates America from all the others.

Simple and complete.. A great reference to the entire Constitution - definitely worth the download. It'd be nice to see a photographed or scanned version of the part you're reading (perhaps at the top of each section) just to give the app a bit more depth and strengthen its connection to the subject matter. What I mean is, it's great to read it in the current state, but it would be really nice to see how it actually looks on the parchment as well. Overall, good job on the app.

Wonderful. I have read most of it and I must say that things have not been right for a long time. But don't blame PRESIDENT OBAMA. He is trying to fix what former Presidents messed up. It took Bush 8 years to tear up the country,it's going to take longer to try to bring it together. Most people don't live by the Bible or Quran so don't get bent out of shape about the Constitution. Yes we have rights! Stand up for yourself and stop blaming other people. And for God sake learn how to spell!

Wonderful App!. A great, easy, and simple way to have America's most important document at a finger tip's notice. As for all the concerns regarding the loss of some of these freedoms when it comes time for the new admin. to take control in Jan., don't forget that there are two more branches gov't (legislative & judicial) that were created to prevent the concerns that some have expressed here. I strongly suggest a refresher course on all three branches of gov't so that some of these concerns can be put to rest.

Picture of the Signing is black. This app works fine and I have paid for the search feature which is very nice but the painting is non viewable - just a black screen. Using an iPad Air 2 - latest iOS. Please fix as this is the historic signing and would like to see this from time to time. Thanks!

One way to shove it back in there face.. It's free! It gives you an opportunity to learn about our Constitution and my favorite part is you can retort all those people who "think they know" what they are talking about with simple click and swipe ofthe finger. "Oh so you think it's okay to pass a Proposition because you think your opinion matters?" "Well read Amendment 14 that states no law shall be passed that denies any Citizen the right to be treated equally under our laws."

Great app. Something we should all read and very convenient to have as a reference on your phone. Well designed app. Thank you!

Not just for Lawyers and Politicians. I think everyone deserves the right to the constitution and this is a very convinient way to have it. This app does not require an internet connection (excellent for iTouch users) and it had a simple UI and just works well. Its also great because im on my high school debate team and im required to carry a pocket constitution but now i can just use this and i perfer reading it on my ipod touch screen then a little booklet.

Good idea, but please provide the original language. This application would be perfect (and I would give it five stars) were it not for one thing: the original text is not included. Rather, the text is translated into modern American English. I stumbled upon an example of this in the first minute of using the app when I saw that the word "defence" in the preamble was spelt "defence". It's not a problem to provide a translation of the text, but this app does not claim to be a translation. It claims to have the text of the Constitution of the United States of America which it does not.

Best Constitution App EVER. I just wanted to say that this app saved my life!!!

Good enough. All the information and text is there but the GUI is meh. Also hasn’t been updated to fit newer iphone screen resolutions

I had 3 ads within the first 5 minutes. You can’t terminate them early. Missing some docs. I was very disappointed about what was listed and what was not. This could have been the single best ap out there. The images and layout are excellent. If the developer could have set the hard core politics to the side and focused on the true and correct documents (all of them) this could have been the “go to app” for teachers, students, media and politicians and all US patriots alike. I would have much more be willing to pay a reasonable fee like $1-$2 dollars. Something that any student could easily afford. This app if politically neutral has the potential to be the best app (and best sold) out there. Stick to the facts (all of them) and this would be a real winner.

Fantastic app could change the world!. I was excited to see an app with the full constitution (along with historical notes!!) for my iPhone. But I must say that even more pleasing is seeing it so high on the top apps list! I hope it stays there! Today it is clear that many people don't know their rights, or America simply would not stand for so many of the things that the rogue government is doing! I sincerely hope that a LOT of people download this app, read it, and fight to keep it sacred!!!! And fight to keep the government in line with it! The people do not serve the government.

Don't pay for it. While I like the simple, text only design, I paid $1.99 to be able to have a search feature. Unfortunately, the search is a 100% failure. It won't even find known words, such as "person." Very disappointed!

Please update this. I love the convenience, but please do a little more for this app. I find it to be quite embarrassing to see an iOS 12 app, that has not even been updated to fit the screen size of the iPhone 6 and beyond. Why? I don't really understand.

Read it, learn it, live it!. So many people don't know the power that was put into this document. Our forefathers were brilliant and eons ahead of their times. The robustness of this document will overpower people who choose to ignore it. Obama will fail because of this document. Hopefully the country won't be too trashed when people come to their senses beginning 2010. The things these dummycrats are doing will not stand the challange of this document.

App works fine. Does what the developer says it does.. The application does explicitly what it says it does, and if you would like an application on your iPhone or iPod touch, this is the one for you. However, it is not for me; I find the Constitution distasteful. It was written to erase our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, which were defined in the Declaration of Independence. It was written to remove our right to abolish a government when it becomes destructive of the aforementioned rights. The Constitution is one of the reasons we are, where we are right now with the Bush administration. I suggest that you download the application for the Declaration of Independence. That's a good document! Now, like I said before, this application does explicitly what the developer says it does. And if you are a fan of the Constitution, or if you might need it for your history class, this is a free download and you should not think twice. -Tannah

This app is more Liberal propoganda. This app was written by a bleeding heart liberal who hates our country. Its full of liberal ideas like the separation of church and state, protections for people accused of crimes, and freedom for the press! Further they added the words “well regulated” to the second amendment! We all know the Constitution doesn’t say anything about regulations.

Ignore the trolls. This app is good. Some of the other reviews are borderline nonsensical, or possibly just outdated—I haven't gotten a single ad and everything works fine. (EDIT: I will say I have the free version, so I don't know about the search function.) This app can't be liberal propaganda because everyone knows liberals don't believe in the Constitution anymore. As proof that they don't, that same oaf clearly has no idea what "well regulated" meant in the 1700s, or that "SHALL NOT" is the actual operative phrase in the 2nd Amendment.

Great app. This is a fantastic app. Great interface, easy to find stuff, organized great, etc. I just have some suggestions: - Add a search bar for quick reference. For example, I was looking for the Commerce Clause and it took me a while to find it because it's buried deep in the first Article - Spelling changes. I noticed that in the notes "2nd" would be "2d" and "3rd" would be "3d". I suggest you guys fix that. - Lastly, make it like the Declaration app in that you have pics of the original documents. I enjoy looking at the D of I and I think it'd be cool to do the same with the Constitution. Otherwise, awesome app. I love reading the Bill of Rights and seeing my freedoms on demand!! :D 5/5 EDIT: I didn't think this app could get any better but now it has. They just added the painting Scene at the Signing of the Constitution with a guide to the signers and detailed notes on the painting itself. It really isn't necessary for the app but it makes it pretty cool. It's a good addition. Still a 5/5 app. EDIT II: I've owned this app for a long time and with the recent improvements (landscape mode- finally!) its better than ever. EXCEPT... I wish they would put pictures of the documents in like they did for the Declaration app. It would add so much to this to actually SEE, with my own two eyes, the laws that are the best in the world. I've been waiting a long time for that addition and it has yet to come. Thus, I'm changing my rating from 5 stars to 4. Add the pictures and I'll bump it back up (even if I have to pay for them I would). Until then this app is getting 4 stars from me.

great! (click yes if you agree). the entire contitution on your phone! I only have 2 suggestions. One would be to have more documents, like the declaration of independence, the gettysburg adress, or MLK's I have a dream speech. The other would be to have a picture of the actual constitution, so you could zoom in on it and read it, or look at the signatures of the people who signed it. This is a must have application, especially if you're studying the constitution

Most every American embraces the word "Constitution", but how many have read it?. Given the political revolution taking shape in the US today, I think every American should download this document, and read it at their leisure. Understand the political foundation that made the USA entirely unique in the context of well recorded periods of history, and be better prepared to judge the true cost of tossing it all under the bus for the latest revision of utopian political failure to gain momentum in the global community. This app is basic at it's core, but having it freely available for the iPhone is akin to having plasma available on a battlefield. Then again, no matter what your political bent, it is a great read.

Search function doesn’t work. I paid the 1.99 to search & it doesn’t work. I do not recommend

Copy & Paste Removed. I’ve had this app a long time and found it to be a good way to review the Constitution and use quotes from it in legal discussions to make cases. Unfortunately, they have removed the ability to copy and paste from it, so it has suddenly lost most of its usefulness. I can still look up information but when I find it, I now have to go on the internet to copy the text. That’s duplicate work. So, I’m going to remove this app and get one that allows copy & paste functions.

Excellent for helping convert 2 party thinkers. This is an excellent reference. Well put together and very handy. I plan on using this as one of many tools while participating in the Campaign for Freedom to bring fiscal sanity and individual liberties back to this country. I just wish our socialist "bailout team" would have iPhone's so they could check the Constitution using this app before willfully and negligently violating it as if it didn't exist.

Timely and well-designed, but it needs a search engine. This was an unexpectedly useful tool during the recent Vice Presidential debate. I could use it quickly enough during the proceedings to determine that Biden was somewhat misleading when he claimed that the Vice President's duties were spelled out "in Article I"—they're actually in both Article I and II—and that Palin shouldn't have had as much difficulty reciting what the Constitution says the VP's powers are—cause it doesn't say all that much. I like the organization by Article, and I really like the annotations, which allow you to quickly parse what bits have been redacted by amendments. I especially enjoyed the notes on the amendments themselves, as they gave a good sense of the history of the passage of those items. It's shocking to see how late some states waited to approve basic rights, like the right for women to vote. However, I think the elegant design may be a tad too simple. This thing would be helped a lot by a simple search engine. Being able to search for the term "vice president" would've cut my investigation time to seconds, instead of a minute.

best version out there as long as you don’t buy it. I relied on this app for years, loved it. When I tried the in-app purchase option the app crashed. The purchase went through, but the app never worked again. Opens and closes no matter what I try, support is nonexistent.

Looks like it's going to be a great reference!. Has Hillary winning Florida by 497% in the 2016 election. Talk about stuffing the ballot box! I have had the Constitution app for some time and it's been great.

T-Jeff. Whoever keeps dropping Jefferson quotes remember that he never signed the Constitution. He wasn't even in the united states when it was being signed. Also, the search feature would be handy indeed for people searching for: "separation of church and state." People would realize that it is absent from this monumental document. The funny part is that the first time it was was even mentioned was 13 years later in a letter from an Anabaptist preacher to Jefferson.

All of our legislators should have this (not just Bush or Obama). Years ago I memorized the Preamble and parts of the Constitution... how sad that I forgot so much of it. This is truly a gift from our forefathers and EVERYONE should keep this on them... and read it weekly. We are blessed with democracy and freedoms guaranteed us under our Constitution and Amendments. C'mon !!! it's just some pages of words!! Not that complicated or requiring much skill to put together. Shameless money grab.

An endangered species. It will be nice to have at least one copy of the Consitution on my iPod that the government can't thoroughly trash. Hopefully, it will live a long and robust life elsewhere as well, but considering the fascist tendencies in this country I am not holding my breath. It's been pretty much shredded into irrelevancy already and if a certain political party gets it's way in this election (and I am not naming names, mind you, but it's the one with all the rich white people) then you can kiss it all good-bye. But like the complete works of Shakespeare, it makes for nice reading now and then and would be a nice reminder of the past.

Great app, but stop "quoting" Obama. It's a vey useful resource app, but guys, just because you lost tge elrction doesn't give you the right to make up stuff about our President. I hated Bush, but at least I gave him some respect and called him president. Anyway, app reviews aren't the place for debates, especially since, when you write a review, you never look to see what other people said about it. You just walk away and are so sure of yourself that you are right, never listining to other people.

The US constitution is a great work, because think about it. It was written in 1787 and to this day it still protects our rights and freedom. Obama/Biden '08. Awesome!! I know since Obama was a constitutional scholar that he has this memorized, but I'll be using it to try to remember which rights I still have, and which ones Bush took away. I can't find the article that references marriage being between a man and a woman tho.. Oh wait, there isn't one! :P

Wonderful. This app has been so great. It helps me in my AP history class a lot and I love how it automatically has notes that tell you even more about the ammendments and articles. Great program to have. This is an essential program to have! Every American, regardless of personal interests, political affiliation or age should have this program as am aid that helps them better understand what our country is about.

Great ap - please expand to other documents of freedom.. This is a wonderful free application. Please consider adding other important documents of freedom. How about the Declaration of Independence, the Emancipation Proclamation, the Gettysburg Address, the full version of such patriotic songs as the Star Spangled Banner and America the Beautiful, etc. None of these are very long and it would be great to have immediate access to them.

I love it and I also love the declaration app. This is a review of an iPhone program, not a forum to vent your political beliefs. Be they pro-Obama or against him, it has absolutely zero bearing on the quality of the app. It's terribly disrespectful of the wonderful job this programmer did to fill your review with polical ranting. Great!. Fantastic idea! I read the constitution for the first time in junior high and didn't particularly understand it. Almost a year ago I re-read it after getting more interested in politics. I was amazed at how easy it was to understand. I appreciate having access to it on my iPhone -- thanks!

Every American with an Iphone ipad or ipod should have to get this.. im only 13 but im very into polictics all i watch is fox news (okay i dont want people to be like THERE NOT REAL NEWS! well its my mind and i believe there right). i honestly think every american should have to read this. this isnt any old law or bill, its the Law of the nation. We should live by this. thank you creators of this app.

A mandatory. An absolute must for any and all Americans, it's bewildering how many people have never read the single most important document in American history. Freedom is so easily taken for granted; honor our great country and it's founders, read this.

Great app. This is a great app, as for there still being "checks and balances" that simply might prove to be untrue because as well as having a democrat president the democrats have a large majority in congress, which as everyone knows those two branches make up the majority of our federal government, that being said this app my prove to be very valuable in the near future.

You don't cut and paste the constitution. First off i saw this and was excited about it, till i started reading the ammendments and realized they weren't in there true form and were edited cutting important parts out, just look at the second ammendment, according to Clint Bagwell Consulting theres nothing in it about the rights of the people shall not be infringed. Anybody that knows anything about the constitution knows its a document to preserve our natural rights, not to give government rights. Government can only take them away, and wether you agree with a Ammendment or not, it should be in its full wording and not edited in any way. Semper Fi!

Great App for a Great Country. Now if someone could translate this for Obama. Apparently he can't read English or his policies wouldn't contradict this amazing document as they do. Let's only hope enough people download this app and READ it so they know the rights that Obama is not blatently taking away, but rather slowly twisting until they fit his socialist agenda.

Incomplete. Missing the often overlooked "Preamble to the Bill of Rights"! Would also be nice to go "next" or "previous" while reading a particular article (instead of going back to the main menu). Search would be cool to.

OK but missing search function and original text. It would be much more convenient if it had a text search function. Also, this is not quite the original text; they fixed what would now be considered grammatical errors (e.g. its versus it's in article 1 section 10) or the strange capitalization of nouns. Now, these changes are widely accepted I think, but it'd be nice to have both version. It's not like the margin is too small.

Great app. This is a great refrence application. I like the chapters so you can show somebody something quickly. Everyone blames George bush for a bad term but every historical document and every one of our founding fathers would agree with him. Iraq didn't keep their promise. War isn't good but sometimes it's needed. Obamas gonna go against every right and ruin America. But I hate how people did and didn't vote for him cuz of his color.

Works now!. Reinstalled today and is working once again! Thanks for fixing the bug. This app is a breeze to use and the notes and index feature make it superior to other similar apps I've tried.

Excellent - Product needs to have some spelling issues corrected though.. Excellent application, Clint. The bottom option should read "Other Amendments" but is spelled "Other Ammendments". I don't think I've seen anywhere else but that one location where it needs to be corrected.

Wonderful. This is a wonderful app. I had to memorize the preamble for my class and it helped me to do so in two days! Also, some of the people in Washington D. C. need to read some of these things to be reminded of what's right and wrong. If there were six stars that's what I would give it! 

Excellent!. I've carried a pocket constitution for years, this is a great product. Our constitution is something everyone should read, know and refer to often. This makes it easy for everyone! Thanks so much for adding this app.

Amazing!. A great application that runs very smooth. As to everyone lying about President-Elect Obama...give it up. The election is over with and he will be the next President of the United States. If you actually read what you downloaded and his policies you would see he is not taking away the rights of anyone.

Interesting. I am not into Politics until recently. In fact I have never voted before but I'm so glad I voted this year. This App should be interesting to read and I am surprised is free. Thank you for submitting this to Apple as a free App and now most people including myself would be aware of our rights as true Americans and what we all truly stand for as united.

Awesome goodness.. This app is awesome. I use it almost every day. People email me all sorts of weird "you need to vote for this" emails, but now I could quickly say "that's unconstitutional because: etc,etc. " I would love an email paragraph button, or email section button. With the FBI's how to spot a terrorist brochure including "carrying a constitution" I guess this makes us all cyber-terrorists ;)

Worth paying for others. I started with this app and then bought all their historical apps that cost money. I'd pay for this app alone, and this app alone is worth the money. Get the others, and consider upgrading to paid versions with even more features and cool stuff.

Yes, America has made mistakes, but I believe the Constitution will always bring us back to "doing the right thing".

Simple and straightforward.. This is a simple app that contains the text of the U.S. Constitution. It's divided into sections including the Preamble, each Article, the Bill of Rights, the other Amendments and the names of the signers. So far I have found no errors in the text and no problems with the app itself. It seems to work flawlessly.

The Constitution. Portable.. The Constitution of the United States of America. What more needs to be said? I am glad this is a free product, as everyone should be at least familiar with the Constitution, even if much of its wording is sometimes difficult to follow. Granted, it probably isn't a high priority app for most people to get, but there is quite a bit of information available here besides the text of the document.

Unbelievable this is a free app!. This is one of the best free apps you'll find out there. There is information on the signers, all the articles, amendments, the Preamble, and even proposed amendments!! And all this is free! There are no intrusive ads, only a small ribbon at the bottom that isn't annoying at all. Extremely helpful!!

Amazing app!. does what it says, nice to be reassured of our freedoms every now and then. for all of you low rating this app and saying "just google it", we ipod users don't always have internet, and this app is efficient because you don't waste battery with wifi and http processing.

Great app, well done.. This app works as advertised. I've had no problems at all. The interface is simple, clean and easy to use. All told, a fine job by the developers. If you'd like to have the content on your phone, or just want to see a document displayed on the ipod touch - get this app. It's a winner.

Great.. It's fantastic to have access to this on one's phone. The program is cleanly laid out and has a nice, quick action. And there would have been something wrong about charging people for this most public of documents, so kudos to the developer for choosing to offer it for free.

Know your constitutional rights. This is a nice App for journalists to carry and refer to when stonewalled by government officials. It could be improved by the use of ragged right, rather than justified, type. The justified letter-spacing injects inconsistent white space into each line of type, which makes this lengthy document much more difficult to read on narrow iPhone and iPod Touch screens.

This is great!. Most people have not actually read the Constitution so, this is a great tool to have around. Now, the Bush haters won't be able to lie through their teeth about how the President is supposedly violating the Constitution. Now, I will be able to prove that Congress is the culprit who ignores the Constitution.

Too neat-o!!. What a great thing to have in this period in time, especially when our government is falling to the extreme of our congressmen "Not caring about the Constitution". Awesome for a quick reference, especially when you're debating with someone.

Replacing my hard copy.. This is great. I can now replace my little hard copy. I just wish it had a way to place my own notes in there. Now all we need to do is get this to the presidiental candidates and make sure that they understand it.

Very usefull app. As a cop I find this app really comes in handy. Every peace officer and constitutional lawyer who has an iPhone should download this app and have the text of the law and principals that shaped our nation at their fingertips. Would love to see a search function in an update.

ARM6768 you're an idiot. You complain about it being a modern translation, but your reason doesn't make sense. Saying that it changed from "defence" to "defence" doesn't give them much to work with does it? Write a real review. It's pretty much perfect for what it's needed for.

Great. Their's not much else that needs to be said: it's a great app with no bugs that I've come across in the few minutes messing around with it. As others have said, search would be nice, but it's not haveing it isn't a show stopper.

Thank you!. What every smart phone needs this year. Helps to remind us what is most precious and what we are about to vote away. Every one should read the founding fathers, and not trust the skewed nightly news for sound political information this election cycle, as we are breathing.

Defend our rights! Bravo, everyone should download the constitution.. Most people seem unaware or plain ignorant about our rights and that they are under attack. Since when did our rights become privileges. Wake up people and see how the north American trade union will end our country as we know it; and our rights along with it.

Conversation Tool. I just added this app to my iPhone and one of my friends asked if I really had the Constitution on my phone and then asked why? I simply responded Do you know what's in the Constitution? In light of recent events every American needs to know the Constitution.

Well done!. Would have gladly paid for this. Nice to be able to switch back and forth between text and notes. Would be very handy to be able to read notes and transfer to the applicable text; e.g., if you tap the note number it could switch to the corresponding text.

Good app but needs more. This app is awesome. It has the main points of the constitution and the full bill of rights, plus other cool things like notes about the founders and a painting of the signing committee. However, they really need to include the FULL constitution, not just the main summary points of the articles. To me it undermines a good argument and the document as a whole. A search function would be nice too.
