It’s great, but.... It’s missing some conversions you can normally do. Also it would be nice to have an actual E6B you can use just in case. Or showcase your calculations on it.

Nice App. So far, the one thing I'd like to see is a percent climb conversion for SID climbs. A lot of PANS OPS departure procedures (Europe, etc.) use percent climb gradient vs ft/nm. I'd like to add an additional comment to what I said in my previous review (above). It was a delight to correspond with Mr DeWeese about adding the SID climb per cent conversion. It has already paid off. A fellow instructor was prepping for a training session in the G550 and had forgotten the conversion formula. I showed him what Mr DeWeese had just added to his App...saved him the valuable time it would have taken looking it up on the WEB. When I conduct check rides in the G650, one of the problems I have the clients do is to calculate the tailwind and crosswind components prior to engine start. Doing it by the book can take a few minutes. Doing with this APP takes a few seconds.

No weight and balance. Spent a lot of time trying to decide between this and the sportys app as I need an e6b as a student pilot. Figured this app would have basic weight and balance calculations since the description said over 75 aviation calculations, but it does not. I am very disappointed and I will have to buy the sportys app to make up for this apps shortfall

Best E6B on the App Store. Been using this app for quite a few years. It is easy to use, has a great layout and is better than any separate device you could buy. I have never had any negative issues with the app and it always works when I open it. I highly recommend this for any Pilot, no matter what level of your flying you are currently at.

A must-have utility right here. The publishers of myE6B are not bragging: this IS a powerful and useful tool. Using this app on my iPod Touch, I found that the menus are logical and easy to navigate; the E6B functions are a snap to master with zero learning curve. myE6B even has a very functional, easily-selectable "Night Vision" style template you can select on-the-fly for flying at night to preserve your night vision. I like the METARs and other weather functions; the app remembers your previous weather reporting station so you don't have to re-enter the data. An area of future improvement would be to translate the weather data into plain English. There are many useful functions on myE6B that make this one of the most important aviation-related apps on my iPod. This app puts Sporty's E6B to shame; I recommend this app without reservation! Great app. This app covers all aviation calculations you need except Va when under gross weight. Buy it. You will not need another E6B app! I use it frequently for X country planning. Professionally done and easy to use.

Easiest E6B App!. While nothing, even this great app, will ever replace my beautiful “manual” metal E6B this is by far the easiest, best laid out, most functional E6B. Other apps are a pain to use in flight but this one I can jump to what I need in seconds and get the information I want quickly!

Great app, great developer. Very practical app which I have been using daily for more than 5 years. I carry two iPads in the cockpit: a mini4 and an Air2 as a backup. I made the mistake of not looking at screenshots of version 2.3.8 before updating the backup Air2. After I saw it, I didn't update the primary mini4, because I absolutely hated the monochromatic look of version 2.3.8, which actually impacted its usability. I wrote to inform the developers about the problem and hoped a new release would resolve this issue. YAAY for the new look in 2.3.9. And THANK YOU for listening!

Best E6B app on the market!. Easy to use. More calculations than most.

The Best. Greatest!!! Been using it for a number of years!!

Wind calc inaccuracy. With regard to the Heading, GS and WCA calculation, I think the calculation is somewhat flawed and needs another variable. Winds Aloft are True, so the course entered must also be True or the calculation will be wrong. Headings are usually Magnetic, but this formula can only provide a True heading. In order to be accurate it needs to add Variation as an input, and clarify that Course and Wind must be entered True and Heading is Magnetic.

Big update. Love the new update! Added new functionality and usability.

Intuitive & easy, doesn't prepulate common fields for flightplanning. I like the application with the exception that key figures are not carried over to pre-populate typically used fields. Notably, Flight planning is almost always performed in the following order: 1. Wind effects determined 2. Time between waypoints calculated 3. Fuel consumption calculated The Sporty’s E6B does pre-populate in that order for you: Wind corrections are calculated to determine ground speed (GS) – GS should automatically populate the Speed field in the next typically used screen, Time between waypoints, Next is Fuel – that time calculated in the previous screen (time between waypoints) ought to pre-populate the time field in the fuel consumption screen. It works, but you kind of need a scratchpad to flight plan without prepopulating as the Sporty's E6B. Otherwise the app is easy to use and intuitive.

Useful tool. Use it every day along with ForeFlight

Good so far.. Haven't worked with this app a whole lot just yet, but there is definitely a ton of information and calculations at your finger tips! I do have one suggestion as of now: in the military we calculate fuel using pounds not gallons, however in our log books we put in gallons added. On your fuel conversion tab, you can only enter in gallons. I would like to be able to put in pounds to get gallons. That would be very useful to me!

Great app!. This is a super great calculator! Very quick and very well organized. For some reason, sometimes when I press a number to enter into the formula, the app doesn’t always respond to my touch. Other than that small quirk, I love this app!

Almost perfect. Has everything you need EXCEPT weight, balance and CG utilities. If it had that I’d give it 5 stars. Until then I have to still use a competing app to fill in that gap.

I'm Liking it So Far. I just got this app today to help me with flight planning my cross-country trips(currently a student pilot), and in the planning phase of the flight, my instructor and I were able to just steamroll through the flight planning. It only took us an hour to get all the distances from the several points I chose on the way to the designated airport. I love how it remembers stuff from other calculations saving us lots of time. It is 4 stars due to that I'm still learning it, and as of yet have not found anything wrong or too complicated. However I am on the watch for these, and will update the review to 5 stars if I find none.

Awesome App. This is by far the best app out there for pilots. As a CFI I highly recommend it if you have any flight planning problems to do. It will solve for any answer and replace your traditional or electric E6B. It also has a very nice weather section that allows you to quickly pull up metars, taf's, sigmets, & pirep's. I can not say enough positive things about this app. And more is promised in future updates.

Great for a quick reference especially for 135. I use this application every day I fly. One thing that could be improved on is to add a ground speed link to the "How long will it take?" page. Otherwise your speed will just be based on your true airspeed for the "How long?" page. Otherwise, I cannot complain about this application. Very useful and practical. Great in conjunction with ForeFlight for the iPhone, since the flight plan page does not include time to and winds aloft. I would definitely buy this application if you are a commercial pilot working unscheduled 135 ops. Less than 2 minutes and you have a pretty solid ETA and ETE.

Commercial pilot. Very handy to have this app on your phone. It does everything you would need from an E6B and does it very well. Thanks to the developers for a well done app!

Superb app for aviators. Having had a good choice of E6B apps in the App Store, my decision turned out to be a great one! From the content to the visual presentation on both the iPhone as well as the iPad, I have nothing but positive things to say. A professional app (not only) for professionals!

Must have for cold weather instrument approach. This is makes cold weather instrument approach calculations as simple as possible. No more looking up the table and doing the mental math for airport elevation etc. Simply input the the altitudes directly from the approach plate and input the airport elevation and presto, new minimums!

Very functional but inaccurate Mach calculations. There are a lot of conversions and helpful calculations within this app but it lacks accurate Mach to TAS calculation. Mach is highly dependent on altitude and temperature. Therefore, this part of the app needs a section to input altitude and OAT (and/or ISA deviation) before accurate converting Mach to any other speed. It would also be nice to include CAS in that conversion section. Thanks!

Great E6B. I just sat for my commercial written exam a few weeks ago, sweating thru problems on my trusty ASA E6B. What a pleasure using this app- it is very well designed and has all of the features that I use. I find myself switching between this and Foreflight for all my flight planning and enroute calculations. The developer put a great deal of thought as to the use of the app as a planning tool and as a cockpit tool. I happily give this one one of my rare 5 Star reviews.

Good. Not great.. It has tons of calculations for sure. It’s easy to use but it’s limitations outweigh its value to me. More specifically weight and balance. Your heading should read “Over 75 calculations, except the one you use every flight. Weight and balance.”

Lot of stuff. Originally I reviewed this app and found it not working. The developed set me straight which is a testament to his commitment to his product. If I inadvertently tapped MPH instead of Knots, then that was my oversight. I have never used MPH in the air; I don’t know who would. There is a lot going on in this app. The bookmark is a great weapon against this. The wind issue I had was mixup on course and heading. Again, a lot going on. I had the wind correction right but it wasn’t adding up. I was not able to use this on my cross country. It is a good app, I just found one that I don’t have to figure out how to use. In a pinch, the one I go to will be one that takes less time to use and know that I am not using the wrong settings, inadvertently or not. My thanks to the developer for solving the riddle.

Great APP. All a pilot or pilot to be needs on their fingertips. I wonder if there is an update that includes TO and Landing Distances, Cruise Power Settings Calculations? That would be just the cream on top of a great APP!

Great utility. I use the app almost everyday for my job in the military as an advisor to unit staff.

Awful - No Mach calculations. Awful - No Mach calculations

Very useful app!. Experienced pilot here. Nothing beats working the whiz wheel but this has everything a pilot uses. I first got this a few years ago just to check my work and still use it now that I’ve gotten my Instrument rating. This has improved leaps and bounds from once I first downloaded it. Only one suggestion, a beginner pilot might like to see how some calculations were made. Still...great app!

Very Helpful. This app is really intuitive and makes the preflight process that much easier. However, the recent update added character underlines to the calculator which has done nothing for me but make the calculator harder to read, even right in front of my face. There are only a few letters and numbers that ever need an underline for recognition and the "=" symbol isn't one of them. Nor any of the other mathematical symbols which only read one direction. Maybe this was prompted by some guy who held his phone inside down while flying but if the safety of your flight depends on character underlines on your e6b calculator then you clearly should never have entered that situation be begin with. Please get rid of the underlines or give us an option to turn them off. They look silly.

I'm dissapointed on the bad reviews. The idiots gripping about it shouldn't be on or even near a plane. This app has settings that let you enter the info which ever way you like. This app is for general overall info not really for navigational purpose. Any real pilot wouldn't just rely on this fancy toy for your iPhone. If you have had trouble, then you're probably not doing something right. Signed, A very satisfied customer. Keep up the good work!!!

JustAplaneFlyGuy. This is an excellent app for any pilot. I prefer to use it, over any other device. However, it doesn’t hurt to have a regular hand-powered E6b with you, just in case.

Great app. Can I suggest you include a 1 in 60 calculator This would be a great help when doing dead reckoning pilotage.

YEAH WELL .... I bought this app because I consider iwizwheel to be overpriced, but considering the functionality I think I might buy iwizwheel anyway. The word 'diatance' still appears even though your latest fix claims to have fixed that problem. Additionally you claimed to provide a climb gradient function, but it is locked at 3.3%. Not all airfields, missed approaches and SIDs in the world are at 3.3 and it would be useful (nay essential) for my work to be able to set higher climb gradients to calculate. A degree based climb / descent calculation was also lacking. No PNR, CP and weather for airfields in Australia seems to be impossible, even with ICAO designators. Refund please. Guess I'm going back to the wheel, at least it doesn't mislead me.

Does the trick but takes to long. To scroll through the number is a pain, from a heading of 001, to 360 what i need, i have to go through 360 numbers to get there, scrolling just does not work. Try the type interface. There are better programs out there for now. Also no millibar support for the altimeter, so have your conversion book handy.

Great app. Great app but am very disappointed in the new interface. I have the older version on my iPhone and find this version much easier to read, especially bouncing around in a light aircraft. 3 stars only because of the interface otherwise 5 out of 5.

Works great. Works just as it should, one of the only wx apps to give you us Metars as well as Taf's. Would be good to see a HD iPad version

Disappointed. PNR calc doesn’t make provisions for SGR OUT/SGR HOME (for depressurised or OEI).

great. I used this app today... the only thing I needed was to figure out how long a field was by taking my IAS and how long it took me to fly that field 30s at 60knts.... other then that it is a great app, could use an update of airfields though when looking for TAFs etc AAA+++

Don't go flying without it!. A great tool to have right in your hand. Just a suggestion. In my opinion, the CP calculation should come under time, speed and distance and while the PNR is essentially a fuel problem.No big deal.

With a few adjustments it'll be outstanding.. I've been using this app for a few weeks now and find it really well laid out for mobile use. The designers "get" that I'm going to be looking for fast tidy results. There are a few quirks that'll be ironed out when corresponding quirks in the iPhone SDK are addressed, and there are some great new features planned as updates each month. For the price of a Ventu mocha I got a great, useful aviation app.

Brilliant!. Great app! Simple and intuitive layout, easy to use in the cockpit and very cheap compared to standalone electronic flight computers that are commercially available. Would like to see an option in future updates that can display decoded METARs in addition to the raw data.

Excellent Aviation Calculator. I have been using this app for a number of years now. I regularly use the time subtraction function and find it very helpful in my job. The developer is quick to react to any problems and I highly recommend this application. I am a corporate jet pilot and former airline pilot.

Can't be trusted. Bought a basketful of aviation calculators for fun. Ran a few tests and the myE6B AirNav came up short in the first few minutes of reviewing. Problem: From Conversions > Speeds> enter 660 knots and note the Mach number. Says: "0.10 Mach" That's odd. A math bug? More problematic--because it would be a conceptual problem rather than just a bug--is that a mach calculation would be provided without an OAT input. Sorry to say, but if I find a problem this quick, I can't trust it in the air. I'm deleting this app.

Great tool for flight planning.. I don't use it while in the air, but this is a great tool for flight planning. The traditional e6b is still great, but this is more "plain language" and easier for beginners.

Crashing since iOS-5. This is a great app, but it has started to crash since I upgraded to iOS5. Whenever I switch from 'Fuel Conversion' to 'Main Menu' or 'E6B Menu' it crashes. Please fix this as I use this app a lot on my flights.

Awesome app. This app is great it has everything and more for what I need. Unless I have missed it this app could use a build in countdown timer with alarm for fuel consumption figuring. It would just save a little time instead of using the one on my device.

Latest update is awesome. I bought this app when I first started ppl training. Its incredibly useful and a great pre/in flight tool box.

Great update. Ver. 2.0 vastly improves the interface and eases the entry of data for all of the calculations. Additionally results are more persistent across different types of calcs reducing data entry and speeding up getting the information needed. Would recommend to anyone wanting a comprehensive and convenient E6B application.

E6B calculator. I have been an active pilot for 50+ years in the businessman/sport aviation catagory. The E6B, now that the bugs have been fixed, is an excellant tool.

Bravo!. Electronic E6B's are $50+ this is very reasonable. I am a dispatcher, pilot, and I work at a aviation university and I think this is one of the best tools for anyone in the industry. If you want to try it go to the website. This tool works offline so when I'm in the air I can still use it without complications. It also edits up to higher units in its options for those flying the jumbos. Good job!

Great for student pilots. I'm a student pilot, and although you can't use this for your test, it is a fantastic training aid. I can check my study answers, pull up weather, conversions and more all in this one app.

Useful. Designed for practical use by the pilot. I am currently flying as a student pilot, and have found that it saves me alot of time building nav logs and doing in flight fuel required/ete calculations.

Not working. I am having the same problem when I updated to the new iOS it doesn't work anymore. Any news on when an update is due, I use this app daily.

Great. Has all what you need and all calculations can be done here.... Instead of using the stupid manual E6B just use this app, all fuel, time, distance and much more calculations. Adding to the above review which I made few months ago, this app still amazes me every time I use it, literally is everything you need in terms of calculations.

Good but not great.. I have been using Sporty's electronic E6B. I thought of it as an over-sized calculator from the 80s. But, it really got the job done well and it shows some of MyE6B's faults and strengths. The faults are that you have to enter and leave too many menus and screens to plan a flight. The benefits are way more data and conversions, upgradeable as updates become available, the size of an iPhone (as opposed to the size of an "adding machine"). I'm glad I bought this program. The nit picks are small. You'll be glad to have it.

Useful and a good Value.... I have had this app for 2 year and been though many updates. It's useful especially for quick fuel, wind, conversion and altitude calculations. The menus are easy to navigate and information is laid out logically.

Updates?. Half the reason I bought this program was for the future updates and new features. Its been months now and there is still no check list feature. I guess the joke is on me for buying before seeing the goods.

Very good. This is a great app, all issues have been addressed In this last update. Lots of features, easy to use. I'm still getting used to the new presentation. Lots of other apps out there, but I have been using E6B for years and it's great.

Search function needed!. Great app! It will be even better if a search bar is added on the top.

Don't leave home without it!. I highly recommend this app to other pilots. I've consistently used this since it was released and have nothing but good things to say. Whether using it for fuel conversions or pulling down a TAF, it is proven itself indispensable by saving me valuable time on the flight line.

Best E6B App. If you're a Private Pilot, no need to purchase a stand alone E6B, this will be all you need. It would be nice to be able to put in performance variables for a specific aircraft, that could be used to calculate results for takeoff/landing roll outs, tail wind take offs/landings, grass/dirt/pavement take off/landings, etc. I understand these are mostly used for backcountry, and are not necessarily a priority. All in all, great app!

Good Tool!. Worth the cost. I have a 15 yr old doing ground school and it fits his needs perfectly. As an old ATC I have a ball trying to remember old lessons. In any event it is as good as any guage I have seen.

Great!. Truly impressed. Great App that does what it says. I found a small glitch and the developer addressed it immediately. Worth every penny! I am a dual category ATP, CFI/II, MEI, currently flying helos in the Persian Gulf.

Works well. Lacks calculation carry over.. The integration of weather is a great feature. The only thing lacking is the carry forward of one calculation to the next the way all other flight calculators work. It's disappointing to calculate pressure altitude then have to re-enter the numbers again to calculate density altitude.

Best Version Yet. Nicely organized with commonly used calculations. With so many E6B programs out there, this puts it all together nicely. Keep up the great work.

Good app, could be improved. Seems that since I updated my Iphone 3GS to the IOS 5.0, this app doesn't work. Is anyone else having the same problem? I agree with everyone else that this app lacks the multitasking feature and W&B info. Another thing that I would love to see is a feature where you could check the NOTAMS. Other than those things, I use this app almost on a daily basis, several times a day.

Exceptional value. I want to echo the last review. Very well worth the cost. This is an integral part of my flying prep. Note on the latest update. The runway image under the user interface is a bit distracting and makes for a busy image. Maybe just show the interface? Great app!

Works Better Than Expected. For a aviation "App" I was pleasantly surprised at how well this app worked. It took a little getting used to maneuvering around the functions but after 2+ years I find it easy to use and spot on as well.

Could be better. It would be so much better if you could just type in the number. I usually dont give bad reviews but this app kind of dissapoints. I used my cardboard e6b to make faster calculations then this thing. It is set up in some kind of stupid paragraph which wastes time. I already know what info you need for what calculations if i didnt i would be a crappy pilot. It also missing a couple things.

Bravo!. It has been a long while since last using this app. The new (to me) appearance and organization make it easier to use.

So much better then the mechanical E6B. Unfortunately, you can not use this during the written test, but as a pilot, this is a great tool when flying w/o all the modern conveniences of a glass cockpit.

No weight &balance - no iOS 4 support. I could have sworn I read a claim about a weight and balance calc in this app (must have confused it for another, less expensive app I was comparing it to). How was this left out? Who plans a flight without W&B!? The other calcs and layout are nice though. Add a nice W&B calc w/ an editable, graphical envelope plot and storable profiles (like EVERY OTHER app out there) and I'll up my rating. Until then, this will just be a $9 loss as I'll have to buy/use another app. And support for iOS4 multitasking would be nice too!

Ok but missing a key function. Overall this is a useful tool but I can across a problem while studying for the CFI written that it doesn't do which is heading calc to get back on track given #miles off course.

One of the best aviation apps available.. This is one of the best aviation apps in the app store and it keeps getting better! Keep up the good work.

Pilot. Just simply great and does the job of a $90 flight computer for nine bucks easy to figure out great job

Program Crashes. I know it's hard to write quality software but this app is the most expensive one I've bought and is useless because it crashes when I try to back out of various submenus. When I restart it the app starts at the last viewed page not at the main menu. When you try to go back to the main menu it gets terminated again. It would be nice I think but the version I paid for isn't even worth free. Needs better testing before being released.

Best Mobile Helper!. As an A&P Mechanic in training, this software helps me tremendously when it comes to unit conversions, weather, and even customer support. If you are thinking of purchasing an aviation calculator to use on your iDevice, don't skip this detailed app. It is worth every penny! -10/10

Excellent learning tool. As a student pilot I've found that using this app helps tremendously in the process of understanding the various calculations and the relationships between values. Certainly less of a pilot distraction than manually calculating various things en route.
