Do not update!!!!. HATE the new style! Does not automatically show the list of prices of 24, 22, 18, 14, 10K; unless you press them to show the price difference. Before their was a list in which one could scroll down showing all the prices of 24, 22, 18, 14, and 9K. Now I have to individually press each karat to see the price difference. Not good! The blue background was a much better design then a plain off white. What I do like is the new "fee" button and alerts.

Solid Gold!. I love this app! I use it everyday and it performs exactly as advertised. Simple interface and choice of data providers makes this a reliable choice. Well done!

More metals please. Please just know that you are only getting an index on 3 precious metals and not all metal pricing

Fantastic. Nicest looking icon and UI among the gold tracking app. I thought I would regret buying this app, but I found out that it is extremely quick. Prior to this app I was using Kcast by Kitco. It was good and very informative with info on crude oil, other indexes and news. However, it has ads and doesn't look as crisp. iGold looks great, has a gold calculator, and it loads super fast. Drawbacks are it only has gold, silver, and, platinum, and missing a news section. I'm puzzled as to why this app is not higher up which prevented me from finding it until now.

At a Glance Convenience. I bought this app even after reading other negative reviews about getting this kind of information for free. Yes, it is true, you can. I went to the websites and they do have the info. However, it is super convenient to tap once on this app and have the info instantly at a glance.

Too many misers. As far as I'm concerned, this app works great, and is certainly useful to me since it provides the spot prices I want to watch, continuously updated 24 hours a day. The Stocks interface is ok, but the spot gold price code does not work, at least not on my iPhone. And I'll gladly pay a few bucks to avoid either routinely changing a futures contract code or constantly going to the internet for price quotes. If the Bloomberg app provides metal (or currency or energy) prices, I can't find them. Sure, I got iGold for the new improved price of $7.99, but I for one would be more than willing to pay $9.99 for any interface that provided currency or energy prices as seamlessly as iGold provides metal prices. And I can't wait for the updates.

Charts not working. Charts have not worked for the last week

Disappointed. I purchased this app only because it has a notification widget.but widget isn't working properly, everytime i want to check price it shows mein last price when i opened app.widget isn't getting refresh automatically.please fix it if u can (Background app refresh is switched on) Thanks

Worth the $. Everyone is complaining about the price, but what's $7.99 if your buying and selling gold. Sure it's easy to go to kitco or any other website and get the price but this app updates every 30secs or as much as you want.

As advertised, works great - easily customizable. Lots of haters about this app because they don't want to pay as much for it or because they will "code it themselves." - Fact is the app is exactly as advertised - nice interface, works well, very convenient - it is a little more than what I would have like to paid - but there isn't a good alternative in the app store....

Worth it.. The low overall rating is undeserved and, I imagine, is mostly because of A.A's (App accumulators) who would happily pay 99 cents for this but probably don't even know what a troy ounce is. If you are looking at this for a real reason i.e were looking for PM quotes, get it. You'll be content. But seriously, Palladium functionality is a must, por favor.

Use to be a great app. Use to be a great app when it had charts and for a while now chart don't work and it very important to see historical data. Hope they fix this It's been a while now

worth the cost. Does exactly what I wanted: reports current gold, silver, and platinum prices; graphs 1 day, 3 day, 1 month, 6 month, and 1 year prices; calculates percentage change; and provides support for different currencies.

Great app!. Use it all the time, please add two things. 10k gold and retina display support. With those it would be invincible. If you deal in precious metal at all, this is the app for you.

Stopped working. Have enjoyed using for years, hasn’t come out of an update loop for many months now. Will have to find another app to reference, bummer.

1 thing missing.... No 10k in the calculator? The majority of scrap and broken gold coming across my counter is either 10k or 14k. I'm only able to use this app half of the time because the 10k fineness is not available in the calculator, so i have to hit a website. I has hoping this app would replace that hassle. Please, please, please give an update for this. Get rid of 9k if you have too, but in the US, we see a lot of 10k, and missing this in the calculator really cripples the app. Everything else is absolutely awesome. Again, I'm begging you.... Add the 10k option to the calculator.

Real good but a serious issue.... Ok, this is a really solid program. There is 1 serious problem and another couple of issues that could make this much better. Let's deal with the "cons" first. First the serious issue: When reading what this program will do above it says, "Scrolling up the calculator displays the metal's common fineness measurements, priced in user defined currency, in ounces or grams. Gold fineness measurements include 24k, 22k, 18, 14k, 12k, 10k and 9k." This lead me to believe that one could calculate in any of those karat weights. This is not so. This program WILL NOT calculate in 10k or 9k gold. It is not possible to select either of these weights. It will on the other hand show you what the spot price is in each of the karat weights, but will not let you calculate in 10k or 9k. This is a very serious omission and that is why I deducted 2 stars. If I'm trying to get an idea of the value of something someone wants to sell and it is 10k, I have to use 2 programs - this one to look up the price per gram and another to calculate the price (multiply price per gram by number of grams of the piece being looked at). Come on programmers, it should be VERY easy to add at least 10k to the calculator. The next issue is that it does not include any latin american currencies. Again, a pretty simple issue that could be addressed in an update, I believe. (This company has another program called iCurrencyPad which is heads and shoulders above all others of it's kind. This is why I know they can implement other currencies into this program.) One more issue on the minus side - the multi day chats are not readable. Could you make it so we can pinch and expand them? And how about making this a universal app that at least takes advantage of the iPad's screen size. It would make viewing the charts a real joy. Ok, now to it's good points. Wow is it ever a great program. It is solid. And a HUGE advantage is that it is available in numerous languages. It works with IOS 4.0 (programmers need to insure compatibility with 4.2) which is a huge advantage. If you need to know precious metal prices, get this now. It is the best. And while it has been awhile since it has been updated, let's hope one is forthcoming shortly to address simple usability issues that would skyrocket the popularity of this program. To recap: Cons: * Needs to add the ability to calculate at least 10k gold along with the others. * Needs to include more currencies (latin american, please). * Multi day charts need to be able to be expanded so they are readable. * Need to make universal so it takes advantage of iPad too. Pros: * Can be used in numerous languages. * Rock solid. * Fast. * Very organized and a pleasure to look at and work with. * Great interface Note to programmers: With precious metals going through the roof right now, this your opportunity to make this a runaway best seller. You are sooooo close.

Palladium & Charts?. For 7.99, it should at least including PALLADIUM and LIVE & HISTORICAL CHARTS.

I feel cheated - not helpful at all.. I bought this for the calculator, but was very disappointed. It only calculates 9, 14, 18, 22 and 24KT. What about 10KT? Not flexible - or useful - enough to justify $5.99. I buy scrap gold jewelry every day, and this seems like a pretty obvious gap. Also, the lack of information or screen shots on the calculator makes me feel cheated, like they were hiding something. Get the free Kitco or Bloomberg app instead. I wish there was a way to give zero or a half star - one star is more than I wanted to give this.

IGold. The best app

Works very well. I love this app. I'm clicking on it all the time to see how my metals are doing. I would love to see palladium added however. One of my most frequently used apps. With positions in the metals markets it's a nice, seemless app that does the job. $7.99 for it? That's less than 1 ounce of gold moves in a typical day. I'm venturing the guess that most traders don't care one whit about the cost.

Hell I bought it.. I thought it would be worth it, if only it had the price of Copper. Which is what I really need!

fantastic, just needs 10k option. As a jewelry store, I use this app everyday...the only thing missing is the 10k option. 80% of the gold I deal with is 10k but this app only has 9k...where is that even the standard? Please add this option and this app will be perfect.

Nice App - Could Be Better. Works well. Pretty. Worth the cost. It would far more valuable if it displayed the daily charts (including palladium) in addition to the prices. Prices alone require me to remember how they relate to other prices in time, but charts show me at a glance. Keep up the good work.

Seems good. Does what it does! Just if the programmer can add a function to track your metal purchases so you can figure your average that would be cool.

Charts still aren't working. This has been a very good app until recently. Once the charts stopped working it became less good. Get the charts back (longer term trends would be a plus) and this app will again be very good or even great.

Yes, alas, it is dead. This app is clearly no longer supported by the developer; prices don't update and the last time the app itself was updated was circa 2020. My suggestion would be to have a look at JM Bullion and/or APMEX for apps that provide the functionality that iGold used to, plus much more. 👍🏻

Charts aren't working. iGold no longer has working charts for gold. In fact, I can't get actual gold prices at the moment. Don't know what's going on, but it's been unusable for ten days.

Worth it to me. Some people would actually pay 50 dollars for a carton of cigarettes. I wouldn't pay a dime. Things are only worth what YOU are willing to pay for them. And it differs for everyone, and everyone's valuation is correct - for them.

Love it!. iGold is wonderful! I use it every day and the quotes are very accurate. Unlike the reviews below, my charts display great (and fast), and quotes are refreshed nicely over my cellular network.

Only Gold Chart Works. Just updated and the only chart that works is for gold. Silver, platinum, and palladium say "chart not available".

DO NOT PURCHASE. This was a fantastic tool for me for a lot of years but… the developer stopped updating it back in 2020 and then it stopped working at the end of 2023. Apparently it is still available for purchase but Apple don’t have a department that deals with developers issues! Or that’s what I got told on 11 January 2024. Complain… use your voice to right wrongs!!!

Good little app!. For anyone who wants gold price, especially in the mining industry. Handy little app.

Good app. Could be more personalized, ie having own currency on main screen. And possibly a physical portfolio feature. But worth the money. Happy overall

The best precious metal price app. Ok this is the best one I have on my iPod as the tittle says and the reason why is because it's easy to calculate the prices of gold/silver/platinum base on the amount of gold 9 12 22 and 24k and based on wight. I love that feature. The easy to convert spot price to other currency so you know how much is the price in cad, usd and many more. I dont know why the first reviewer gave this a 1 star out of 5 but I have the free kitco app I like this one more

App is dead since Sonoma. Was great for years but now it doesn’t work and the developer has gone dark.

Close but no cigar!. Jeez! U guys showed just enough screens shots to make a person think you knew what you were doing. I wanted something less cluttered than the free Kitco app so I DL'd your app. Very Disappointing! In a perfect world I would like to see the following: A separate screen for each metal in a currency or two of my choice, selecting each metal should be completed with the swipe motion similar to the home page apps. turning the iphone sideways switches to chart view of each metal with 1d to 5y timeframes. (similar to the very handy Bloomberg app)

Best App. One of the best apps out there. You guys should make an app like iBullion it is another good app there out but they stopped updating it.
