Shopify Balance App Reviews

Not for more than one shop.. This is not for someone that has more than one shop. I’m going back to traditional banking because I can do it all in one place. I was told I could with this. It just isn’t user friendly.

When it says ‘compatible with iPad’ and I get a phone screen, I immediately delete the app.. This may or may not be helpful (certainly very mixed reviews) but I might give it another try on my iPhone, but on my iPad- no Thank you.

Can’t even create a card. When trying to order a card it makes me customize it and then never loads past that. The app is low quality

Much better than website. I love this app, finally I can manage my balance on my phone!

Doesn't work. Can't even log in since the keyboard wont even pop up to enter any information

Don’t listen to old reviews, app is updated. Just got the app and seamlessly connected my shop, bank and instantly started to withdraw with no problems even using Face ID to log in. I’m starting a brand new store on Shopify and this app and the physical card are just extra conveniences!

Can’t even set it up. Can’t even login bc this stupid app makes you scan a fingerprint code on the front of your phone when the camera is on the back, how dumb!!!!

Not for multiple sites. The concept of the app is great, however it is not user friendly if you have more than one site. The ability to easily switch from site to site and multi site support needs to be added. Otherwise, if you only have one site, this app should work well for you.

Samantha- boutique owner 20+ years. This app is a joke. There is no way to access reports or see history. The fees are also not explained or able to be discussed. No customer service option at all. I’m the dummy for signing up. 🫣

App won’t let me withdrawal money. The app doesn’t work to let me withdrawal money. I press the button and nothing happens. I’ve called Shopify support and they have no idea what to tell me to do. Concept of the app is great, but the execution of the app itself…sucks.

Problem. I can’t figure out how to move money into the Shopify account.

Not for multiple sites. It's definitely convenient to have this versus diggin for it in the traditional app but adding multi store support would be a real winner.

Clunky app!. Can’t even add a bank account to move my money the app just says that there is a problem, then when I tried to switch transfer methods away from this app onto my bank account the app doesn’t even show the account and routing number properly in order to finish the change, now my money is stuck in this app! Terrible app!

You Guys Need To Make Improvements. Cancel pending orders clarify how long transfers take have an instant transfer method a lot of things need to be done be better

Haven’t seen recent transactions. I’ve purchased from my own store and haven’t seen my transactions go to my account and I haven’t gotten any emails verifying and transactions just wondering what’s going on

Why?. Not sure why this has to be on a separate app. Should be part of the Shopify admin app. Don’t like that i have to have a completely separate app to check my balance.

Meh!. I don’t find this app really necessary. Just another app to download. I think the ability to do it in the original app should’ve been left and this be an optional add on. Let people choose how they want to access their own balance.

Stolen 2k! HELP ME. Shopify has stolen $2,523.93 from me and my family. I run a small electronics store from my home I had sold multiple orders for iPhones throughout the United States. I fulfilled them, and long story short. All of my funds for over 5 orders totaling the above amount were unable to be withdrawn and aren’t available until Dec 26, 2023. That is a total of 119 days!! Someone please help me! I’m a disabled veteran and this is my families livelihood.

Constantly logged out. If you open this app you’ll be logged out of your Shopify store app every single time. So annoying. Horrible app

Shopify’s new payout and banking process starting to feel like a scam. I’ve been signing up and building sites for clients on shopify for years. Payouts used to be seamless and very effecient. Recently they’ve changed their payouts to make new accounts to use shopifys own banking system by default. There are some nice features to their banking system, but most accounts don’t like using it. Specifically because it makes their bookkeeping more complicated. Switching out to customers own bank has turned into the biggest headache. It feels like they are purposely trying to make it difficult so you relent and use their system. Obviously they would prefer to keep your money on their books for financial purposes. So this just feels like shopify is turning into a scammy financial institution. I’ve contacted support many times to try and get one client’s payouts resolved with no luck, and this app just makes everything more complicated and doesn’t even work for my client. Stop trying to be a bank and just focus on the e-commerce, the thing you were actually good at.

Why?. This app has one job: transferring balances. It does that job successfully *maybe* 3 times out of 10. The other 10 times I end up having to log directly into the website and transfer it that way. Get rid of this thing.

Doesn’t work on iPhone SE. Downloaded. Opened. It’s stuck on the Welcome page. Can’t scroll to click through.

Where did my account go?. Just updated and opened the app to find NOTHING there! No cards listed. No balance or transactions listed. Where is my money?! 🤬

Shows balance, can’t move money, why??. Installed to find I can look at the balance of accounts, but cannot move the money. Tap the button and nothing happens - deleted and reinstalled app, didn’t work - shut off phone and turned back on, and still doesn’t work. Have to log in on website to do, kind of defeats the purpose and cannot see why a separate app for this Balance vs the Shopify app is necessary. (Also, can see finances in the regular Shopify app but it always shows balance as zero, can only see balance on web/site or the Balance app, but can only move money on website NOT app)

Does not allow me to transfer money. Clicked on the button to transfer money, does not go past that page. I also tried to view some more information pertaining to my account, and the screen freezes. Please guide me further in the right direction to delete my account information and this app

Logs you out every other time. As someone else mentioned, you get logged out almost every time you try to open the app. Developers can’t you fix that? What’s the point of a “Face ID” login option if it never works?! Other than that, it’s not clear why you need a separate app at all.
