New app for Canada. I had to download this one, as the old app no longer supports Canadian stores. Imagine my surprise when I got a store in Texas as my default. It’s a bit far for my liking.

Frustrated. Michael’s has the worst ever on line catalogue. Recently they offer 40% off of two items …on line only!! Which is fine if they advertised everything on line that’s available in the store. I’m a car model collector and they have advertised the same 5 car models for the last 7yrs +/-. They have added approx 40 new kits in store that have not made it to the website! I would love to take advantage of 40% off of 2 model kits if I was able to choose between the in store stock!! Frustrating to say the least!!

Incompetence. They make you download a separate app for Canada which was poorly developed, completely untested, totally unstable, glitchy and malfunctioning. Slow clap Michael’s.

Search Bar is under the Camera Lens (iPhone). Ok - this is the most irritating thing imaginable. I have an iPhone 14Pro and the search bar is directly under the forward-facing camera lenses. I can’t use it. This visual configuration error renders this app completely useless.

Useless. Access denied to every page but home page

Forced to change apps. Why force ppl to change an app and we can’t even choose a location? My buttons don’t work half the time so I literally can’t do anything in the app. Now I also don’t get coupons if I can’t access thing bc buttons don’t work! I already left michaels for shopify n Etsy, this just makes me glad I left! Michaels lost a customer, permanently. I’m sure others will be following me!

Ugh. If searching and finding your “favourites” buried in your account isn’t bad enough, hitting the “back button” from viewing one of your favourites only to end up back at the beginning and having to navigate through the menus system again to get to view your next favourite to compare, is taxing. You’d think we’d of gotten these apps user friendly by now.

Refuses to sign in. I have tried numerous times to sign in to my account including resetting my password app just states that it doesn’t match there records Very frustrating 🥵

GARBAGE. This app is absolutely garbage and Michael’s is so stupid for changing the old app I’m Canadian to this one absolutely ridiculous

Not ready for the public. This app needs further development and de-bugging before it is offered to the public. The way it is will only make people angry and want to shop somewhere else. Bad move by Michael’s. If the app continues to track customers then it will end up in the trash.

Suggestion. I pretty much just buy yarn from you but might I suggest that if a particular color of yarn is out of stock put a line through the color box. It’s really annoying clicking on a dozen different color boxes trying to find something that is in stock and they all come up ”out of stock”

App doesn’t work!!. Every time I try to open the app It doesn’t allow me.

Downloads. Ever time I try to go to my Michael store in Canada, I get the oh I see you are in Canada and it wants me to download the new App even though I have it. Gee does it want me to download the App every time I open Michael’s? Very annoying! Margaret

Useless. Why would they give us an app so useless? You can’t even choose your location services. Michaels is overpriced anyway so I guess you can’t expect much better from their app.

The notes. The notes mean nothing because they are solved, it work great for me now

Not great. The search function & home button are near impossible to activate on my iPhone. And still no use for the rewards function so why have it on the app.

Complete garbage and useless. This app is a complete load of garbage. It hardly ever loads, is slow as hell and crap and fails on you. FIX THE DAMN APP

Barcode Scanner Does Not Work. Barcode scanner does not work. Searching by item number doesn’t work. I tried searching for 697231 yarn and it wouldn’t show up. I had to add 10 in front of the number. Lots of items you have to add 10 to the item number for it to show up.

Apple wallet??. I should be able to add my rewards card to my Apple iOS digital wallet

Does not work!. This app continues to glitch and load me out of it and is no help at all. If you need it use their website because it won’t continue to crash. It also does not show all the things that they have because I looked up the same thing on the app and the website but more showed up with the website. I will reconsider downloading the app again when it is fixed.

Not a good change. App is not helpful. Won’t allow me to search. Can’t use at all.

Rewards program is non existent. I was told to spend $80+ to “ earn “ 6%.. in what?? When i look at the policy’s on line they are very vague. Their rewards program is fake.

Worst App. I was forced to download the Canadian version as their older app is now US only. It doesn’t work…it constantly crashes. When it does load, I constantly get “Sorry! Something went wrong, but we’re working on it. Please try again later.” Ummmm…I’ve been getting this message for several months. When IS “later”?

Stupid. Won’t let me change store. It’s one in Ontario and I’m in B.C.

No issues here. I was hesitant about downloading this new app based on all of the negative reviews. Luckily for me I haven’t had a single issue. The app works great and it’s just like the previous app.

USA is not CA. Was told to delete app and download Canada specific app. Setting local store won’t allow any and/or asks for us zipcode (?!). Without setting your store the app doesn’t function properly… sigh

Glitching is annoying. Not worth the time wasted. So much glitching!

App Malfunction. What is wrong with your app? I have used it for many years but all throughout the 30% off yarn sale, I have not been able to add any yarn to my cart, either through my local store or online? So frustrating!! I chose one star because there is no option to choose zero stars.

Where’s the Canadian version. Disappointing!

New app. I’m in the midst of downloading the Canadian app. After reading the reviews I’m not encouraged. You do realize that in this day and age having an app that does not work could be catastrophic for a business. Especially one that is suppose to let us place orders.

Useless!. My phone number and old email address are permanently linked and CANNOT be separated in Michael’s computer system. I can’t log in and I can’t create a new account. If you need to change your email address for your Michael’s account, god help you because Michael’s won’t!

Frustrating Crashes and slow. Hopefully the app creators are reading these reviews, and we Canadians are just experiencing the early baby steps of a ‘new’ app… crashing, and excruciatingly slow uploads of pages. Why not just copy the old American version? It worked fine. Gave the 2 stars since it is a handy way to see if your items are in stock, (if it’s accurate) It’s great if you’re in a rush or if you don’t trust yourself to wander the store and spend $100 on things you didn’t need until you saw them. So, Michael, get busy on the updates. I need this app.

Great!. This app has worked great for me. I was able to set my store and look at stock, prices, etc. I believe the issues noted in other reviews have been resolved as the app works perfectly fine now. It’s too bad the rating is so low because the app had issues in the past. I will definitely use this app to help check aisle numbers and stock availability!

Everytime I open app I have to change it to the Canadian App!. Can you please fix this! Every single time I go into my app which I most certainly updated as the Canadian -App was no longer working it asks me to update it to the Canadian App! Every Single time I want to open my App it is asking me to Swirch to the Canaduan App then it takes je into the Apo store to open it. I am going into my app quite a few times a Day as my Business Partner and I are looking on ordering all our supplies so we can start making and getting ready for Fall & Christmas Craft Shows! If you found it annoying I repeated myself twice imagine how annoying it is for me, and I am Canadian so normally so would say Sorry for taking my frustration out in this review but not this time. Please fix this ASAP!

Works exactly like old app for me. I’m not sure why so many people are having issues with the new Canada app. I downloaded it, signed in with same password as previous app, and everything is exactly the same. I have an iPhone 13 Mini running 15.6.1 (I have not done the update yet.) Nothing on the screen is cut off and purchasing through the app is exactly the same. If anything changes later I’ll update my review, but as of right now, it’s functions exactly the same as the previous app, no issues at all. Hope I didn’t jinx it, lol.

Works great!. I didn’t have any trouble in having my app downloaded and it’s perfectly working for me. Before I used to go to my safari and check the website itself but having the app is much more easier and fastest way to get everything done (eg. checking prices, coupons to use, etc) Btw, I’m in Canada. Not sure why others commented negative but works great for me. They might have updated the app.

Doesn't work properly. -The loading is too slow -search results are extremely bad -doesn't show products in the categories, for example ; I went to the cricut catagory and it showed zero items. -loging in is impossible -creating a new account is impossible

Old app worked fine, this one doesnt. Im not sure why I was forced to download a new Michael’s app just for it to be terrible and not work. I never had an issue with the other app but this one will not let me place an order. What’s the point in this app if I can’t use it to order the products I want?

Lots of Bugs. Tons of bugs! The search bar can’t be used because it is too high up and auto scrolls in that area instead of being able to select the bar. Things like changing your address produce an error so you can’t shop online.

It gave me a headache. The bottom menu flashes non stop while I’m trying to scroll through items, plus everything is all jittery while scrolling through as well. Using this app has given me a headache. I can’t use this app until this is resolved.

Great app. I use this app all the time for my crafting supplies & never had any issues.

FIX IT YALL. This app functions horribly because when you scroll it flashes the menu options on the bottom so fast the effect is strobe like. fix it it’s been like this for so long.

Don't bother. Can't tell if this is a decent app or not. It doesn't acknowledge updated passwords, or even Canada for that matter

No longer supports apple wallet. Forced to use this new app for stores in Canada and now cannot store coupons in apple wallet.

This app is crap. Sometimes it doesn’t show inventory and says to check back later (like later, when things aren’t on sale anymore). Sometimes the photo doesn’t match the description. I currently just put through an order and for some reason I have to pick it up at a shop 3 hours from where I live. Why did my local store change to one in Toronto. I miss the old app. Canadians always get the crappy version of things…. Ridiculous.

Feedback. Hi there I just wanted to give a little bit of feedback for the new app. I am using an iPhone 14 pro max and whatever the dimensions of the app are a lot of the features of the top and the bottom are cut off and so it’s really hard to even click onto my shopping cart or go back to a previous page. One thing that I found most irritating is that the shopping cart isn’t saved so when I fill my cart and then think on it for a couple days and then, when I go back to purchase, it’s all gone, which resulted in me, not purchasing anything because I’m frustrate. This is a big issue for me. because the only reason I ever have apps for retail businesses is for the benefit of a saved cart.

Just no. Deleting as I feel this app it’s only half baked.

Issues fixed with 2.5. Thankfully the display sizing issue seems to be fixed with version 2.5, took a while to get there, but the app is functional on bigger screens now, the shopping cart and home button work properly, and the bottom bar doesn’t have a line running through the icons.
