Whatnot: Shop, Sell, Connect Comments & Reviews 2026
Great with flaws. This app is a great place to buy and sell Pops, even for non live users you can list 97% of what funko pops exist. Now let’s talk comics… this is a wonderful place to buy comics, the comic community is great! If you want to sell comics currently it’s only allowed with live auction, which after 6 weeks I have found if you aren’t a big social media account, you tuber or some major eBay comic seller you don’t get the live auctions and other applications from big names will go before you. I personally verified this with 2 big name you tubers that applied for whatnot after me and were selling live in no time. If you want to buy a comic I highly recommend this app, if you want to buy and sell a few funkos great place to go. If you want to sell a comic….or more than 1000+ books like me (30 year collection) this isn’t an easy place to move comics. Back to eBay and making listings for endless hours I guess. Not the best place here for selling comicsfor the common man.
Features missing from whatnot app. I have downloaded the app and I want to buy some things but only on the website for whatnot I can surely choose the preference to view items from low to high price starting with the lowest price. I don’t see this on the app. I would like to know on the app why the feature is not there for people to have preferences to choose that they either want to see new new items that have been posted or they want to see items first that are high priced to low priced or see items that are from low priced too high price and they’re basically is not that feature on the app so far that I see and it’s very frustrating. If I could find that or find out how to do that on the app I would buy something but it looks like I would have to be buying from the website instead of the app. That’s not really good when you don’t have the preference on the app because a lot of people want to see first the lowest priced items.
(READ)Please allow visa gift cards v. complain: This app is literally perfect . i just wish prepaid gift cards of $60 and lower were allowed or that a prepaid gift cards wouldn’t decline once it’s at 50 dollars it’s really not cool having us load money for the app and not being able to spend it . This problem bugs me a lot because i already have enough problems with my normal bank card and i thought getting a visa would make things easier on the app but it didn’t . it’s kinda embarrassing having the card decline in a bid when you know the gift card still has money in it . Why i’m writing this review : Today someone was live with very good deals and my visa declined after a few auctions (it had 200 now it’s at 50, i don’t use my bank card because it has its problems too ) .i figured maybe i just need to stop using it for a bit but that didn’t work . i then went to a 7 11 to purchase another visa with 60 bucks i could spend on that stream alone because i was willing to get a gift card for just the stream and spend it all . i tried to add the payment method and it kept saying the card declined . :( i looked it up and other people had the same problem . i feel like i bought the visa for nothing and now i don’t know what to do with it . Other then that i really enjoy this app . the community is beautiful and it really makes me happy . some streamers you will relate to more then others but they're definitely all entertaining and have good deals .
Needs improvement ASAP. I’m loving this app but there are a lot of issues with it. The auctions don’t load live a lot of the time and we constantly have to close the app fully and re-enter so we can see the live auction. Also a BIG issue I have is that when I make an “offer” on a listing, it goes in the “offer” section of the “buying” tab and I can never click on it to see it, who is selling it or anything. Even when it’s been accepted and even shipped. I can never click on it. I don’t understand why there is a difference. I can see all that info in the other purchase section for other purchases that were bought outright or through the auction. This really needs to be fixed. I also find the rating system weird as you have to wait for it to show up. And if it does when you’re not ready to rate, you have close out of the window and wait a few days for the rating to pop again or the notification to click on. Other than that, it’s a great app and have had good seller/buyer experiences.
Potential to be the industry standard. I echo the same sentiments as in the other reviews about the genius of the built in PPG, real time values and everything we ever loved about Mercari, minus the fees, but there are a couple of developmental shortcomings. The biggest one is that there’s no validation for account creation. I accidentally entered my email incorrectly and was not able to update that part of my personal information to fetch the shipping label for my sales. The second would be the lack of a fail safe when listing with prices. I listed an item for sale for $0 and it was permitted to be published. Most selling apps have an algorithm that inform that the value just be greater than zero. As far as applying to be entered into the Beta live program, there is really no place to list credentials that would influence the developers decision other than asking if you have sold on WhatNot before. Consider it is less than 11 months old and there are collectors who have been active in the community for the past 5+ years with various experiences, it would benefit the developers and app to include those with commiserate experience and verifiable credibility in the collecting community. Other than that, I see this app being the model for online selling for Pops especially with some fine tuning and continued quality leadership in the way of its collector friendly offerings.
FRAUDS. This app is full of frauds, starting with the higher ups. They say they offer all of these things and then just take away features, every person is treated differently especially if you are bigger streamer and make the app money. I feel it is illegal to say you offer customer support and then you just cut it off to people if they have too many “return requests”, maybe we wouldn’t need to return if these sellers didn’t falsely advertise and/or correctly package or get the items correct in your order. I’ve had many items come damaged, without items, ect, and this app won’t even allow me to try to send in a request for anything. I am thousands of dollars in the whole because of your terrible customer service and these scamming sellers, and truly is sad when you’ve spent $100,000 plus on this app in a year. They couldn’t care less about anything except money. Sad what this app has become, allowing anyone to become a seller, allowing some of your biggest sellers scam daily and they are on your whatnot videos (Grailed804) these dude falsely advertise, sell fake shoes, lie, argue, and don’t even respond to customers. Other sellers messaging to cancel wheel spins when you hit the big prizes, the list goes on. I should be contacting my bank to remove all charges and contacting my legal team to pursue further.. *updated review so the developers can say they looked into it but they won’t - soflosoles *
Cess pool of scammers. Every 3rd card you buy on this app you will be lied to and scammed card won’t come in condition that was described then when you open a claim with what not you will get told that they can’t help you cause you already have 3 returns so basically if you order more than 9 cards 3 of those will be scams and after 9 cards you’ll lose money my account has 550 orders I’ve returned about 4 cards so they refuse to help me recently I bought a card (for 250$) that was creased had the seller on tape saying 6 times that card wasnt creased hiding the crease with his thumb he admitted To me in messages that he sent a creased card told me to contact what not for a refund when I contacted what not they told me no I was the problem this has happened to me 50+ times at this rate and I’ve lost money every time I just got back into collecting and have ordered 3 cards on here 1 didn’t even ship the card (100$) 2nd guy sent the creased card (250$) and the other is on the way but will probably be damaged too Save your wallet and goto eBay where there’s actually buyer protection not scammer protection
This is my favorite app. No I’m not one of those bots, I collect sneakers, this app has helped me grow my collection for so fast and cheap, the shipping is way cheaper than anything such as eBay. Half of the bad reviews are people that bought what they asked for and expected it magically to be in pitch perfect shape. Everything comes within a week for me I’ve never not received my items. Some of my items smelt like cigarette smoke. But the condition of the shoes were bad in the first place so that’s kinda what you expect. If your reading the reviews and come by mine. I’m being 100% truthful. My advice when using this app, stay away from the mystery wheel spins or mystery boxes because 100% of the time it’s a scam. Just stick to the 1 dollar auctions and you’ll be just fine. Also read the customer reviews on people that have bought stuff off of that seller. You can only rate the seller if you bought something off of them!! I hope this helped. HAPPY SPENDING!!
STILL NO PAYOUTS. UPDATE: after telling them I’d be reaching out to an “advocate” to solve the issue for me, they finally emailed us back after ignoring us for two+ solid weeks. Our payouts have been restored and we’re happy to keep using the app. Such a simple fix for this issue should never have been neglected for so long. Fix your customer service whatnot. Updating to a 4 star for the fact that we love the app and selling on whatnot. Just the onboarding process is RIDICULOUS. My husband has over $8000 on the app with zero dollars sent to our bank account since we started a little over a month ago. We have over $1100 ready for cash out right now but cannot cash out because the “support” team refuses to email us back!!! We were told the account was put back to normal and still cannot cash out. I will not be changing this review until I receive an email back from whatnot fixing our account!!! I’ve sent 10 different emails over the last two weeks and I’m beyond the point of frustrated.
Platform good, but sellers obnoxious and crazy prices. This platform is so good, but it’s ruined by obnoxious loud used car salesmen type people. They’re always screaming at the top of their lungs pushing their crazy expensive breaks and saying how they can’t believe how low spots are going for. There’s like 2-3 buyers who keep bidding up spots and winning the majority of them. I’m talking about $500 spots and they’re winning 10 of them like nothing each break. They’re spending $50,000 a day easily, which is hard for me to believe. I’m suspecting they have friends who bid these up and then they get a cut and don’t really have to spend that much. I deleted this app, it’s too much and the skinny of money you spend you keep getting junk and your chances of hitting anything in group breaks are horrible compared to the money you’re spending. Better off breaking with established breakers who break whole cases than these dudes who keep stacking up those dumb “Sweat Boxes” that puke out $50 cards. Prepare to hear this over and over in loud volume “VALUE ON TOP OF VALUE!!!! THESE SPOTS SHOULD BE $1000 EASSSSYYYY!!!!! WHAT ARE WE DOING GUYS YOU GOTTA FIGHT FOR IT!!!! I CANT BELIEVE HOW LOW THESE SPOTS ARE GOING!!! BIGGEST BREAK WE’VE EVER DOOOOOOONNNNNE” It wasn’t fun anymore listening to all that crap.
addicted.. i’ve never had so much fun shopping online before. this app has EVERYTHING for EVERYONE. the live selling/buying and endless mini games the hosts run and come up with is a ton of fun. BEWARE HALF OF THEM ARE BASICALLY GAMBLING. with that in mind, i’ve been addicted to this app since i’ve downloaded it 2 months ago. there isn’t a day i’m not on this app just hanging out, watching a show or impulse buying because the deals are way too good to pass up. seriously this app amazing and i can’t express my gratitude enough for all of the awesome deals and awesome cloths, shoes, cards and even free items (when ive been lucky enough to win [which has been twice] anyways). most sellers are willing to work with you if something goes wrong with your purchase, and then you also have WhatNot who will make things right if there is something wrong with your order. pay very close attention to what sellers say, and make sure to always read the shows Notes. BID/BUY RESPONSIVELY and most importantly HAVE FUN!!! this app is awesome. best thing since sliced bread.
I am banned and I am devastated praying. I am Banned and I pray to God it is a mistake I don’t wish this on anyone I recently quit my job to do this full time only to be banned with no explanation at all I’ve seen horrible things like what backyard breaks did and they only get a temporary ban but here I am permanently banned I have no violations no warnings and it’s unfair I feel like I am Being targeted and treated indifferent and that someone has a personal issue with me whoever is in charge of doing these things and gives the ok on this I’ve been reaching out and no answer I pray this ban is uplifted cause I really like this app and have a following I did 11 hours the other day I have over 2k followers I built so much I recommend and promote this app a lot and to be treated like this for no reasons no violations warnings is unacceptable unprofessional and disingenuous there’s gotta be like a strike system I didn’t do anything at all for such a severe punishment this is a wrongful ban can somebody please help praying God can vengefully back me in this it’s all In his hands they been giving me the run around not telling what policy I broke or what I violated it’s says I am banned and they says it’s locked idk what’s going on I feel discriminated against I can’t think of what warning or anything given to warrant this
Amazing!. I have been waiting for an app like this for a while now. Since I started my collection, I’d been using the Funko app. However, their app is extremely buggy. Too much nonsense. My collection value fluctuates too often, which I understand value change, but it’s often due to Pops having a certain value, then all of the sudden the app shows that there is no data to determine a trending value, which I can’t understand, especially with Pops that have been Vaulted. Anyway, this app has made the experience of being a Pop collector that much better. From the giveaways, to the prices, to the available Pops, to finding the value of Pops you have, this app does it all and does it well. My only real complaint is that when I scroll through the lists of Pops at the main screen, when I hit the back button, it goes all the way back to the beginning of the list. Lol please fix this if it’s not an isolated incident with me. But all jokes aside, there is nothing much to be upset about with this app. They make the buying process easy and are very professional and trustworthy people. Thank you guys for developing this app, you have a lifelong user/customer/whatever you want to call me. Will be buying again soon. Keep up the good work.
Buyer and Seller since 2021. Whatnot is a fantastic app for being able to sell or find any items you may be looking for, no matter how common or rare of a find. I have had a great time using the app and getting great deals. This review isn’t so much about that but instead about how the Whatnot Staff team requires major work as well as changes to the app. I’ve been using the app for roughly four years now and some issues have maintained throughout its duration. Troll bidders, falsify reviews with the way they go through with cancellations, and a slow and lackluster support and moderation team. Unless harassed, Whatnot Support won’t do much of anything to help you with an issue or return of something of the matter. Whatever amount of time is described to you in the app (24-48hr etc), don’t pay it any mind because they will just get to you when they feel like it. All this is to say that Whatnot has a lot of good and bad. I still use the app often, but am unhappy with the way the app is run and how many issues have been allowed to continue up til this point.
Game Changer. WhatNot is a game changer! It’s refreshing to be able to interact with the seller and others while bidding on items. As a Funko seller myself, I enjoy getting to curate shows and build reputation with frequent flyers. It is still new, but the WhatNot team is making every step in the right direction to listen to user feedback and make adjustments as needed. On top of that, the WhatNot support team is excellent! I’ve had to contact them on a few occasions and they are always so quick to help resolve the issue and they remain so friendly the entire time, it’s like talking to an old friend. I thoroughly enjoy this app and the direction in which it’s headed. The categories are growing to bring in a more diverse list of sellers and buyers, the community involvement is fun to be a part of, there are even subgroups that have formed on discord that are related to helping new sellers grow their profile. Overall very pleased with WhatNot. If you’re on the fence, what are you waiting for! Find a current WhatNot user, sign up with their link and get a free $10 credit to explore the platform. You’re welcome :)
Not customer friendly app. I have spent thousands on this app and original I loved the idea. But recently many streamers have been just calling customer dil-dos and if you call them out on their customer service they don’t even send out the product you ordered. Then trying to look up recent purchases is very difficult because the page is constantly refreshing losing your place to look up old ordered. Also with some much I have purchased I can’t tell who sold me what. I have deleted the app since one of my last orders never came and tech support can’t help me out by looking my old orders. And with me not having a computer having to go back and forth on the phone app as it keeps losing my spot to look up my orders and not pictures of what I had paid for doesn’t give the customer any grounds to really fight back and get their money back. Also I have applied for months to stream and they approve other individuals who only have a few weeks on the app. Very upset
Worst customer service. On my first day on the app, I was very intrigued I bought things from different sellers takes a while but I was excited to receive items as they started to come in. One by one I started getting wrong, damaged, and broken items, and the quantity control issue became very apparent. Customer service helped at first then said that they couldn't help me since they were unsure if it could be “ buyer fraud “ or if there was an issue with the items even though I had pictures and if they saw the video receipt they would see that some of their sellers were the issue. I was sent lipsticks that were melted, lipsticks with crushed tips ,body mist that were leaking items that were damaged dry or unusable and counterfeit make up .I will no longer buy from this app and I recommend No one else to do so in my opinion this was the worse experience all this money wasted and I have to throw it away since I don't want to put damaged ,unknown substanc, or even in sanitary items on me what a disappointment this app and their customers service has been I would give negative stars if I could .
Honest WhatNot Review. I happened to stumble upon this app just by chance. I saw popshoplive and driplive.. so I googled apps like this? And WhatNot appeared into my life. WhatNot is not just an app but it’s a place to join a community and make friends who you talk to everyday. They could be or not a streamer and if not you add each other’s instagrams or Facebook. Spent months as a buyer on WhatNot till I decided to send in an application to stream. Almost half a year later and still no approval. A month later, I was approved and being a streamer, is being a part of WhatNot. I love how fun it is to build a following, seeing the same people pop onto your chat showing support, doing giveaways to give back to the community, etc. WhatNot SN: droxas Instagram: droxastcg There are so many steamers to tag but follow Lurk and follow everyone that Lurk is following. One of the best communities on WhatNot and Calilurk, Phillylurk, Saiyandab, and Lurk does Sunday Funday Giveaways every Sunday!
Damaged book. There are some outstanding sellers on this app and some not so stellar. I tried to get my money back because I received a comic that wasn’t even dollar bin worthy with a store COA and signature attached to it. The book had some type of hard liquid across pages and on the back. Like, who graded this book an 8.0? What’s sad is that I’ve bought dozens of high end books from them which is confusing. Why rip someone off for $18 after they have purchased tons of slabs? The responses from whatnot were horrible. After several emails back and forth with whatnot months ago we agreed on them sending a return box which never came. This app is full of sellers trying to get rid of their “spine tick” and weathered inventory. They won’t tell you the flaws until after you bid and everything is labeled as a F/VF-NM. Pay $30 for a mystery box and get one pristine book worth maybe $10 and the rest are readers copies. If customer service would have followed through with what they promised, I may have given a 4-5 star review.
Over all good experience minus the Whatnot scammers. Over all I liked whatnot especially for purchasing dead stock streetwear and sneakers. Auctions are the only kind of sellers I deal with now because there are a few decent and true sellers, HOWEVER I’ve learned to STAY AWAY from Mystery Box games and basically a non verifiable or promoted sellers. Even though whatnot claims there sellers are all authenticated on more then one occasion I purchased from a “Whatnot Verified seller” and have straight up be robbed. I never got my merchandise. I got so paranoid, I started recording every single streamers show I purchase from. I got cheated on sneakers I “won” in a mystery game I had to force the seller to send me the shoes and got some wack $40 pair of sneakers from Walmart when I was the second prize winner… also, two pop collectibles, and also two more mystery box purchases. Mystery box sellers always have a promotion that if you buy a slot they will send you a cancellation prize, this is up to a certain value just for playing the mystery game had you not won the 1st place prizes and long and BEHOLD, I’ve gotten LITERALLY non of these things. I contacted whatnots customer service, and all they say is to request a cancellation from the seller, when you request the cancellation, the seller can deny it, so even when they CLEARLY scammed you they can still deny your refund, and from that point you would have to bring it to your bank because what not won’t do anything about it.
Sellers be my ops. The app is great, so I’m rating it a 5-star but when I signed up with my friends link it didn’t credit us the 10$ it promised after I made my first purchase nevertheless the app is still really well made and just has some minor bugs. I especially like the people who sell slabs for $1 on auction, but some of them seem emotionally attached to there items saying they are going to jump off a bridge if it doesn’t sell for 100$ etc. I also would like to say that many of the sellers try and hustle you by using fast paced tactics to get you to buy, often just lying about the price, I’ve gotten banned after I corrected that his items last comps were 230$ and not 800$. After I got banned the app accused me of not being a good community member which I find appalling since I’ve been nothing but kind to people. Even though I’ve had these problems with the app I can blame most of it on terrible sellers and not the app configuration if I was to recommend this app to someone I would say to be very careful on who you decide to do business with.
Liked at first but... I’ve already wrote a review on this app but I’m writing another as I grow more and more frustrated and disgusted with this app. I’ve applied multiple times to be a seller on this app and never get a legitimate response as to why I’m not getting approved. They ask for proof of sales, which I provided and have completed over 1,000 orders on PopShop live. They clearly favorite who they want to sell on this app and it’s a joke. A former friend of mine got approved within a month of applying and he is banned from eBay, PayPal, Mercari, and other sites. He used to go live with me on Instagram and he wouldn’t make nearly as much sales to be approved so quickly. They also approved another seller who was on PopShop and didn’t last two weeks because she couldn’t make sales. More than likely approved her because she is a girl. She also doesn’t know anything about cards or players besides what her boyfriend tells her. I’ve watched countless buyers get scammed or pay well over resale to end up getting screwed in the process. The approval system on this app is a joke. Majority of the sellers are cons. And it’s getting pathetic that legit sellers who are doing this for the community are on hold for whatever pathetic reasoning they have.
Has potential but….. I’ve been using this app for over a month now and love the idea. I’ve spent several thousands of dollars on over 100 transactions. Do you think I should be able to get someone to answer my email within a week? Well they don’t! Now I just ran into a payment issue and haven’t been able to upload any credit card on their app and I’m not sure why. Hopefully they get back to me before Christmas so I can start buying again. It’s April so I would say I have a 50/50 chance. I’m just so frustrated that not one employee can take the time to look into my Now 2 issues. There are also issues with the bidding so be careful bidding. It might say bid $4 and when you press it, you might have bid $100. Since everyone bids at the last second it goes up extremely fast so make sure you watch before you bid. Custom bidding is the safest. Hopefully they will hire some employees and run this like a normal company. It will be sad if they ruin it.
They don’t abide there own policy’s. Used to be a great app but over the last 6-9 months it’s just gone so downhill. I make tons of purchases on here but shipping POLICY is never enforced by whatnot. Some of the bigger streamers can ship whenever they feel like and not in the 2 day window like they’re supposed to and they get away with it with no repercussions because they’re making whatnot so much money. One streamer I used to shop with frequently has been stating for the last 5 months their shipping department suffered a loss whatever that means so they take 5-8 days just to ship and I live across the country so it’s another 5-7 days before it even reaches me. If you can’t handle the volume of product you’re putting out to ship inside of the policy’s window either hire more people or sell less. The smaller streamers follow the rules and I receive my stuff in 3-5 days from purchase. It just aggravates me because they get away with it so often without anything being done by whatnot. I wait 3 weeks sometimes before receiving from them so I stopped shopping with them. It’s becoming more common now though since there’s no punishment. Also I’ve submitted tickets for products never shipped and they are supposed to review it and get back within 5 days. It’s been 8 going on 9 daysand I can’t reach them in anyway since I’ve already submitted a ticket. There support is terrible all around. This is just one of the many reason’s I wouldn’t recommend whatnot.
This platform enables dishonest sellers. Dishonest sellers are rampant on here but I continued searching for good sellers bc the customer support was so good… until it wasn’t. It turns out that when buyers report sellers for selling them damaged items, the BUYER gets a negative mark put on their account. I did not realize this until I reported damaged items I got (once again, ugh!) and WhatNot would not allow me to return the items. They acknowledged the items were damaged (stains & holes) but said I was not eligible for a return b/c I’ve received too many damaged items. Their system enables poor sellers & obviously the sellers know it! When I would contact sellers directly to report damaged items, most of them directed me to WhatNot support to make a claim. They know WhatNot will cover the cost without the seller being charged so there’s no incentive to sell quality items. That’s why there’s so much junk/damaged items are being sold on there. It was not my fault I was sold damaged items but I won’t be making any more purchases b/c I know I will not be treated fairly since I encountered too many dishonest sellers.
Trash app. The multi-point and multiple verification process is absurd. I didn’t have to verify so much an and so often with banks or the irs. This ridiculous process has left my account unusable. I tried to make another account but the incredibly flawed system says in can’t because my number is associated with another account. The so called customer support is a joke. The “live chat” isn’t even live, it’s a bot giving robo responses. When asked for contact you’re directed to emails (no phone number to call). Directed to jump through more hoops only to be left high and dry. I missed an important auction with one of a kind products, and missed the opportunity to win the free products during multiple giveaways. I couldn’t even use the chat without further verifications that were denied by this system. These were opportunities I can’t get back. The ONLY saving grace in this miserable experience is that I didn’t lose money on the app itself. I’d be demanding a refund if I did. I’d have given zero stars if it was an option, so they should consider themselves lucky to get the one.
Scammers. This community has had a bad rap recently due to scamming, and nothing is ever done about it. I myself have caught several streamers in the act and have reached out and these people continue to stream. It blows my mind when you send pictures and evidence of the scamming and the issue is never resolved and these people keep doing it it’s only hurting the platform to understand why nothing is ever done I think if you’re giving solid evidence of the scammers they should be banned immediately. This is hurting the platform. All the stuff is all over Reddit. I read it daily and I’m being criticized myself for being a seller on the platform. It’s hard for me to associate myself and my business if these things were fixed, this platform would be top-notch 100%, such a great idea just bad monitoring on myself would be interesting in policing the platform to get rid of these scammers when communicating back to others you keep it private, but the sellers are allowed to see who’s reported them makes no sense. It should be open both ways because then seller can just block the buyer and I understand that you guys are very good at refunding people but it does have good when you got people selling counterfeit cards, trim cards, resealed packs and booster boxes that’s been picked through oh over inflated prices I wish platform could fix these issues because it is a great tool way better than eBay
Great App .. This app has helped build my now ever growing collection of funko pops . Now that being said . I know that updates are necessary to keep up with the times . But too many changes at once chase issues . Here are a few examples of things I feel need to be brought back to visibility in the app. As well as things I think that should be added 1. The items for sales scroll bar that used to be in the home page .(this is a big one , because as of right now . Unless the person is following you and they happen to look at notifications , no one will know you’re selling something unless they do a search for something specific ) 2. When you go to someone’s profile you no longer see bio information . So if I want to reach someone I bought something from . I need to hope there user name matches their social media . 3. Some way to directly communicate with sellers or other member thru the app . I could go on an on . But let’s start with these . Otherwise . Love the app , love the community. Great job
Needs work to be reliable. I’ve been an avid buyer and seller on this platform since it’s early days. I used to love using this app and saw it as my go-to for both buying and selling Funko Pops. However, my “inventory” consists of hundreds of listings that I have ZERO search functionality or management ability over. I have to manually scroll through almost 400 of my own listings on the app to find an item I listed. Typically, the app will glitch about halfway through and start repeating the beginning listings so I can never make it through everything. As a seller, I need a platform that makes cross-posting easy with the ability to update my listings easily. Sadly, this app is the opposite of that. If I can’t access my 300+ items, I can’t deliver with the integrity I strive for as a seller, and it also makes me weary as a buyer to purchase anything from a seller with a lot of listings for that very same reason. Overall, this app has great potential. But the fancy live auctioning features and talk of introducing chat features shouldn’t come at the cost of basic functionality like inventory searching or simple data exports. At the end of the day, it’s a good enough app, but not the trusty bread and butter go-to app that I had really hoped Logan and the team were striving for long term.
Needs more focus on other categories. I joined because my husband showed me the crafting/art/creator community. Everyone is very welcoming and supportive. It’s a great place to find items to create with, no matter what your art or skill is. Fabrics, ribbon, paper, beads, junk journals, tags, embellishments and more. However… there is not much of a buyer base. I would love if other categories are mentioned in the description of the app. Not everyone is interested in cards, estate sales or collections of items. I never would have joined by just reading the description as it is. There are many people interested in home decor, crafts, arts of all sorts, (crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking, clay, journals, book making etc.). While I understand these other categories have higher sales, to be more well rounded and appealing to a greater audience, please don’t leave out the crafting/art community. We have many sellers, but no where near the buyers. (Something we just started is craft along classes. Buy a kit and create with us). Thank you and please follow Mixedmediagrl
Awesome but beware of Scammers. I’ll start off by saying how much I LOVE whatnot! I have pretty much left eBay to sell solely on the app. But buyers be aware and inform yourself about sellers. Twice I have been screwed by Nicole State! Once was a sponsored Giveaway. Another Seller spent their money to sponsor a giveaway to the Chat. I won. I was supposed to get a Loungefly bag. It never tracked. The person who sponsored spent $80 or so to give that bag away and she never sent it! Another time I purchased two bags during a “flash sale” Again the label was printed so she got paid but the package was never dropped off at the post office. Whatnot did refund me. It amazes me how this is a constant thing in her show and nothing has been done. She has been kicked off other platforms for postal fraud and now doing the same thing here! Buyers please look her up before taking the risk in her shows.
Bad experience with FlipNFinds. Dishonest and manipulative- she doesn’t think we can see her when she ignores our comments. Hear her huddle with her friend. See her facial expressions. Obviously has had issues with other sellers because a troll in the group was calling her out. She had no reason to be rude to me. I bought on her last show. I agreed with the troll that she DOES show things like she is going to run them. Half she asks the family if they want after about to run. My agreement was supposedly bashing . She messaged me and repeatedly asked if I would like to cancel my order. Then when I got my order 2 of the times had number dots on them which I did purchase and I got a white shirt with no number dot that I didn’t purchase instead of a jacket that was the most expensive thing I bought. So they purposely switched it out. No apology when I sent the message, just told me to contact whatnot for a refund. Full intent was obvious. This seller is malicious for absolutely no reason at all. I’m sorry to her sweet friend who did apologize and said she was going to run the pants. But still never happened. Insanely…. They had much better more expensive items they were running. Knowing I wanted them they didn’t.
Defrauded by Whatnot and busted_Coinz. PLEASE, BOYCOTT WHATNOT, or at least BOYCOTT COIN AUCTIONS BY BUSTED_COINZ. Busted _coinz is a snake and he’ll do the same thing to you. I’m a good customer of Whatnot, spending literally thousands of dollars just last year. So I don’t say this lightly… Seller sent me the wrong items. Says he attempted to contact the buyer he sent my items to, aaaaand other buyer ghosted seller. Meanwhile I sent the seller photos of what I actually received, which includes notes that have the other buyers name in them. Meanwhile the seller strings me along as I’m trying to be patient, understanding and accommodating to his requests for more time to contact and resolve with the other buyer. In reality, correcting the issue with me should be the sellers priority, whether he’s able to contact the other buyer or not. Even if he has to go out and re-purchase the item I’m owed to make it right. Meanwhile the 30-day limit to make a claim with Whatnot expires. Not that I’m ready to take further action against the seller, who’s now ghosting me, Whatnot refuses a refund and refuses to disclose seller’s contact info. BTW … Whatnot now says they spoke to the seller and he stated that I was sent the correct items … one dem be lyin. So Whatnot now assisting and becoming an accessory to fraud, deception and bait-and-switch practices. FOR SHAME ON BOTH OF YOU!!!
Whatnot Punishes their buyers. I was an avid buyer on whatnot for months, and over those months I accumulated a lot of things I was into and some things that over time i’ve grown out of. I recently applied to be a seller to try and get rid of those things. After a few days of my application being under review I was sent an email of my account being permanently terminated for an age violation. This was a shock to me as their app is targeted to users 17 and older, which believe it or not whatnot, still includes people that are 17 years of age. Marketing your app to 17 + yet banning the people who meet those requirements feels a bit brainless. I would understand if they declined my application due to me not being older than 18, but to permanently terminate my account feels unjust. I can’t continue to recommend or use an app that punishes young entrepreneurs who are just trying to make ends meet. I’d like to hopefully have this issue resolved, but for now my review remains. This app currently has no backbone for their buyers and ultimately customer service won’t be able to provide you a solution to your problems.
Quality control issues.. Pertaining to “Children’s collectibles” you have sellers who have no respect for the product even if considered collectible. When you confront them about their poor salesmanship they propose to say that clients need mental help if they are upset with the condition or value on the children’s products. They’re excuse for not handling anything with care and passion is that they believe no one should care about collectible cards even though it’s paying their way for much of what they do. The Pokémon card community is wildly inappropriate in many aspects. Whatnot has sellers smoking drugs, drinking alcohol, and messaging about drug use in the open chat forums. Only a small number of sellers are aware that thousands of kids a month might see their store and are appropriate on camera and in dialogue. The majority of sellers seem to be people who are not reliable and wouldn’t be able to get a job. They’re taking that low quality standard and have migrated to Pokémon cards to trap people with 185% up charged bountys on a single pack of cards. Whatnot you really need to make a children’s section of your site more children friendly at a minimum. You do you whatnot.
I would like to update my review of whatnot. About 5-6 months ago I wrote a review about whatnot. I don’t recall the exact stars I rated it at the time. However, I remember I wasn’t happy when writing the review. I suggested a safety net for bidders and vowed to not use it again until it was implemented so with that being said I didn’t rate it high, I’m sure. So, I was on whatnot a few weeks ago watching, because who doesn’t like to watch breaks? Anyways, I wondered about the new bidding button I saw on the lower right hand corner and so I touched it to see if it would accept my bid. And much to my surprise it did NOt!!! I had to hold and swipe all the way right in order to bid. This is GREAT!!! Thank you for the safety net whatnot!!! I appreciate it! Although, I’m not quite certain that it’s a complete fix to dropping the phone and accidentally bidding(I don’t want to try it lol) I think it’s a huge step in the right direction! And I have to commend you guys for that and so I am rating 5 stars today!!! Thanks Whatnot for looking out for your consumers and for the effort you out in to please us all! I will be using whatnot once again!!!
SELLERS HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO SCREW BUYERS. Twice in two months I managed to get great deals on buying baseball cards; with the seller canceling the order without any repercussions! So it’s a live auction you do not have time to research the cards. So often you will over bid a tad. ALL SALES ARE FINAL IF YOU ARE A BUYER! However if the seller doesn’t like the way the auction went they can cancel your order blatantly telling you through messages “hi you got to good a deal I’m canceling” What does whatnot do: we are sorry this is usual (is it when it happened to me twice within 60days!) we understand why you are frustrated! We can give you CREDIT (not even a refund in the card) for the value of the sale. We are letting are Trust and review teams know about it. So now basically eff off and be ready to be screwed in the future again Mr buyer! We are happy to collect more consignment fees from you in the future! I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH IM GOING TO BECOME A SELLER ON THIS APP. Break some BASEBALL CARD CASES AND THEN THE GUY THAT GETS THE ONE IN A MILLION CARD; IM GOING TO CANCEL THE ORDER AND SELL IT ON EBAY! What does whatnot do to me? Nothing Update: seller still gets to keep selling on whatnot and they even got to post the disputed card on their whatnot store: LET THIS SERVE AS A WARNING TO ANYONE WANTING TO USE THIS APP TO BUY!
Amazing experience!. My Daughter and I have enjoyed doing cards together for years! I love the nostalgia of it, how it brings ya back and makes you feel like a kid one more time.. each pack and break, the dream card you happen to rip!!! Super sketchy. SUPER SKETCHY!!!!!!!!!Wanted to give zero stars but it would not let me!!This app is SUPER SKETCHY!!! They want you to go thru all these steps as in To Qualify to use their app. Which is all fine!! But when you Complete all the steps, they make you redo the steps which is to verify your Identity, after Identifying you have to take a Zoom meeting which is almost a whole hour long and then you have to sign up with Discord completely, USING Whatnots link that they send you. Now at the end of the hour long Whatnot Zoom there is Q&A where Questions were Will we be able to actually SELL after this and was answered with a Yes!! Immediately after!! So going further and fulfilling My end so as to become a ‘Seller’ on Whatnot I sign in and hit the ‘Sell’ button, AND IT STILL SAYS ‘UNDER REVIEW’! They want me to send my Info, all of it again!! Well I have resent my info 3 times!! Still cannot sell!! SO WHAT EXACTLY ARE THEY AT WHATNOT USING MY INFO FOR EXACTLY??!!! BECAUSE IT CERTAINLY ISNT SO THAT I CAN SELL ON THEIR APP!! I have emailed them several times. I actually recorded everything, including the Zoom meeting that I attend still NOTHING FROM THEM!! NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER!! Sooooooo……My advise would be to be very cautious when considering using this app!!! seriously !! VERY SKETCHY!! And I have video and screenshots of everything!!
Scammers love this app!. So here’s the deal, you are bidding on people’s mostly junk or made in China tee moo crap that they have decided to resell to you. The bidding can get exciting and bang in a week or two you might have the biggest regrettable purchase you ever made show up in your mailbox (many get “lost” and I won’t get started on the overpriced shipping). Most of these sellers have low/zero integrity and once this app dies off (trust me it will) they will move on to other ways to scam you. Here’s an example: I “won” an iPad during an auction from the seller NicoleState and it never shipped. I got the run around from her, first it got lost, then shipped to wrong person, then I’ll send you a replacement and now I’m still waiting almost a year later and of course when I reached out to whatnot they said they don’t regulate contests. Hmmm ok so you openly allow scams? And the auction I won was somehow switched to a different handbag “of equal value” and it was sold at TJ Maxx for about 25% of what I paid, I own the stupidity of bidding more than something was worth (never again though). Sellers like Nicole State are a dime a dozen, I have encountered a few more in her circle and they all run the same scams. So if you like overpriced junk and supporting scammers lifestyles this is the app for you!
Complete scam buyer beware. I’ve been on Whatnot and buying from Whatnot streamers for well over four years. Whatnot is a complete scam. It’s all computer generated customer service. There’s no real phone number. There’s no way to talk to a real person and their refund policy and their customer support guarantee is a complete lie. They’ve been getting worse and worse over the past year at least every third time I purchase I have items missing. That I purchased and did not receive and all whatnot does is have you submit a ticket and you get a computer generated message within 48 hours and they do nothing it just happened to me literally two days ago again I spent well over $1000 and the three biggest purchases I did not receive and I have no refund. No nothing do not waste your time or your money I’ve already contacted the Better Business Bureau as well as every other agency that’s similar to what not and I will be pressing charges!!!! Also beware if you click on app Support, it takes you to Whatnot and you get a message that pops up try updating your app. This option not available which even furthermore proves what I said to be real. Another update there’s no live people to talk to. It is all computer generated Whatnot scammed me out of literally over $500 in the past week and I am filing charges buyer beware stay away from what not since they’ve changed ownership and how they do things. It’s complete scam.
It would have been fantastic…. I think the app is a great concept that no other platform offers. I love that I can scroll through categories to find the things I like. I loved the Disney Pins category, but then it got merged into a general Disney category, which makes it hard to find what I am looking for. I am a little frustrated with the review process, I have left 5 star reviews for almost every order that I place, but when I gave one 3 star due to product quality (particularly smell) on multiple different orders from one seller I get blocked. It just doesn’t seem very ethical that by giving honest feedback I get banned from viewing shows. Even if it was the seller that blocked me, I was not longer able to view other people’s shows, too. I guess I don’t understand what I did wrong :( Makes me hesitant to review knowing it could result in me not being able to shop on the app. The giveaway process is also a little sketchy. I see the same dozen or so users winning every giveaway. Maybe they spent more money or are long time users, but I would have thought it would be a random selection tool for sellers to use. Sometimes I wonder why I bother entering because I know I won’t win.
Scamming on the rise. There is a rise of scammers on this platform. TCG’s are in a big boom market and these Rip N’ Shippers know exactly what they’re doing. Simply doing a search about “whatnot scam” and you’ll see HUNDREDS of stories about it happening. They switch out cards, they reseal packs, and even have people making extremely inappropriate comments. Even worse they’ve rolled out a policy where customers can’t request SPECIFIC CLIPED FOOTAGE of purchases. Their words here: “you are only able to view a video receipt, which is a recording of the moment your purchase was completed”. A two minute clip is sent to you and if ANYTHING happens to your order outside those two minutes, you are not able to see that clip for proof. You are now forced to video record your own purchases and even then if you go through the proper channels, the seller might only get a slap on the wrist. Speaking of sellers, these people aren’t vetted. Anyone can become a seller, whatnot has no process of asking how one gets their product, if they have history of selling, if they have a store, NOTHING. This just leaves the door open for other bad people. This platform has good people but there is a scam happening on this app EVERY OTHER DAY NOW. I really suggest you stay away from this platform, buy from people you trust instead, and if you want packs buy them yourself. It’s not worth it if this platform doesn’t want to protect you.
Really Good App, but has an issue.. I got Whatnot back in late 2021, and it was just on my phone. I found the concept cool but never had any money to use on it. Then I ended up referring a friend. I checked my account months later and discovered I had $10. So last week I used it and bought a $30 funko pop for only $4 out of my own pocket. (I collect Pops.) The community is great and the bidding for all products and ways of getting it are great. Whatnot has become my number 1 way to grow my collection. One problem though. Whenever I use the app, even when I’m on the Home Screen, the scrolling lags and moves very blocky and choppy across the screen. This happens when I entered the app, when I exit a stream and return to my Home Screen, and even when I reset the app. Also, when I enter a stream, it takes about 30 seconds for my keyboard to stop lagging and actually allow me to type in real time. This happens EVERY TIME I OPEN THE KEYBOARD IN CHAT. Overall, using this app is a good experience, but the lag is terrible. The type pad lags, the Home Screen lags. It is all around an issue.
Great, pick sellers carefully. DO NOT OVERPAY. ever! If a hobby box of 12 packs is $179 at brick and mortar stores, a whatnotn seller has no business selling packs for $25-30. You’re just giving them free money. Ridiculous. FOMO and gambling addiction and instant gratification. Forget that. Go buy the box and make your money back and some. I’ve had mostly positive experiences. Be sure you pick sellers who keep their prices similar to other auctions. If you’re watching an auction and see something of interest, cross reference it with another auction site to see if the sellers price is within reason. It’s too easy to get caught up and pay too much for something. Some sellers are just trying to make a buck and don’t know much about the hobby they’re involved in. Pronouncing all the names wrong, not knowing the hobby basics, prices way off, etc are big red flags. Also, when it comes to trading cards, breaks are like gambling. Stay away unless you just want to do it for fun.
The WHATNOT experience. I LOVE WHATNOT. It’s a special way to shop. Where the sellers don’t just give you a service. They make and give you a relationship. I would rather buy from a friend than buy from someone I don’t even know. I think that is a fortune of buying on WHATNOT. You get a special feeling of team and relationship even though these sellers are thousands of miles away. I experienced this with Chris and everyone from 2 Dollar Chris has his family in the business and they are outstanding. It’s an experience and connection you feel of togetherness at the same time you are buying what you want and they are increasing their business. A WIN+WIN=WIN There is one improvement that I think is necessary. When someone buys something on the receipt screen there should be a better description of product color (example black or navy) size, skinny or regular size (clothing example jeans etc.) so you know exactly what you bought. The video is good but you can’t tell the size and color by video sometimes it’s difficult to tell black or navy. etc. Wishing WHATNOT continued success.
Love Whatnot, Dislike Selling. Let me start off by saying I love whatnot and have used it basically since launch. Purchasing things is easy and it’s easy to sell on. I prefer to sell things on Whatnot over other apps like EBay, Mercari. But what they do better is paying people. For example EBay you receive the funds as soon as it delivers or when you ship. And is an easy process that takes up to 20mins to get money delivered to your account. Mercari is a little more difficult with the waiting period for the customer to rate your items that could take up to 3 days but money is immediately available and sends to your account within mins. Whatnot on the other hand is a over complicated payout system that is not seller friendly. Not only do you have to wait for it to be delivered (which I will admit is fast) but you have to wait a minimum of 2 days to get the funds sent to Whatnot THEN you have to wait another hours-days to have the funds sent to you to use. So here an example. You sell something and you may not get the money for that item several days after delivery. It just takes away from the whole thing and bring the experience down a lot. I don’t get why it takes so long but for Whatnot to stand out from the other two top selling apps it needs to be more seller friendly.
Stole my money. It’s my first time selling on this app. I sold an item over a week ago and it has been delivered a couple of days(almost a week). I finally decided to reach out to customer service and I received a notification and email the next day that it has been complete. The weird thing is my balance is zero but there’s a transaction of the money I should’ve received. Funny thing is I never physically selected the transfer button. I thought it transferred automatically so I checked my PayPal account and there are no transactions. I have no money in my account. I felt comfortable selling here because of the great reviews. I just want my money. If customer service can reach out to me about this situation, I will appreciate it Update: After I left a review, I received my money in my balance. I just don’t like that it’s connected to PayPal. It took weeks to get my money. I would have prefer it if I can link my debit card. Bottom line, I got my money 3 weeks after the item was delivered.
Whatnot still needs to get its things in order. Applied to be a seller on this app , the seller application process isn’t straight forward and what not employees seem to make mistakes and punish users for them . I applied with the intention to sell customized pressed on nails , I was approved . Then I get an email from WhatNot saying it was a mistake to approve me and that I don’t have enough inventory , business history , etc . So I did what any person would do and come up with a different strategy . I re applied for the movie category and this time was approved again . Except when I joined the onboarding session for some reason after it my account was still not live to sell . So I contacted the support team and they banned my account saying I tried to join an onboarding session without invitation (which is false) . So I sent them multiple screenshots of the invitation and inventory and I kept sending them emails , next thing you know the safety team is telling me I’m permanently banned for “harassment “ when I ask them who and how I’m harassing anyone for inquiring about a mistake they made they simply close the case and are not trying to be helpful . I have an eBay store and a top rated seller . Clearly this company has some stuff to work through and they aren’t very transparent . I was a great buyer and just wanted to try and sell on there too .
People on app are great, app after 7/26 update much better. * New update seems to have things running much smoother! Good job taking the reports/ feedback from users and solving the issues! * Changed to 5 stars after update! I really enjoy using the app to watch, purchase and spend time with the Funko collecting community. However these last updates have left the app unusable, infuriating, and leaves me nervous for my personal information security. At times the app will completely shutdown after latest two updates, app keeps asking me to log in or give them my payment information again and again. That doesn’t make me feel like they are securely storing it if they keep losing it when the app crashes. When watching shows the app can’t seem to handle the viewers on the platform and frequently freezes mid auction or kicks streamers off their own shows. Love this community and hope they work out the kinks in the app because it’s a shame when people can buy or sell without having to jump through a badly performing app. Hopefully this update from a few minutes ago fixes all the problems!

Great App for Pop collectors. Great way to find pops & easy to search the market for pops I’m looking for😊
Verify mobile number. I’m from Australia and it’s not letting me verify my number? Why is that?
Awful Shipping Prices. If you don’t live in America you’re kinda screwed with shipping. They say to ship to Australia it costs $70 for an item that is only 3 grams (or less than 1 ounce).
Could be better. Category selection. Tabs to separate auction, breaks, etc. If it already have it it’s not so user friendly for beginners. Also the add payment section pops up every time to the point where I just closed the app. It should only at starting the app. People will put payment detail to purchase anyways.
🔥🔥🔥🔥 perfect. Perfect for traders
Review. Great site enjoy WATCHING live bids as no one has answered my email on how much for shipping cost on multiple items as I’m in Australia
Can't stop. Just got back into comics after 20 ur hiatus. Whatnots got everything I ever wanted as a kid. I'm a kid in a candy store!
OZ. Wish you where is Australia
It’s good. Very good
Terrible.. This app is one of the worst live apps EVER. I was in a 16 shoe giveaway, and I’m new so I didn’t know if I needed to verify. So I went into the live and couldn’t type, or enter the giveaway, because they’re antes my phone number and the stupid app wouldn’t let me put it in, i deleted it And got it again then the entire app froze. Honestly, I didn’t wake up at 4 am for this. Terrible app, don’t download.
Great app when it works. I am constantly having to close the app completely and open again as the auction rooms just have sound with either a blue background or a picture. I thought it was my Samsung so I switched to my IPhone and I’m having the same issue.
WhatNot is an apt name. Not what you want. Selects notification: crashes or whitescreens. Randomly asks me to login when I’m already logged in. I try to go to profile to see the login status, it just just crashes. On restart there was nothing wrong with my login. Connecting to any live auction buuuurrrns through battery like no other app. I get about 60 notifications every day, for things I don’t follow. Auctions have arbitrary schedules; you have to keep checking the app night and day to see if sellers have a scheduled auction but sooo many times they just make announcements on another app and no regional time, then go live immediately. WhatNot Comics is the worst for this. Drops teasers on Instagram, another app, for weeks then ignores everyone who’s been asking for standard retail listings. Why no use this app to setup an auction further in advance. Any notification of someone you’re interested in gets lost in the dozens of unwanted notifications. To see if anyone you’re following has a scheduled auction or listing, you have to select following twice. It seems most stores have nothing ever going on or scheduled. It’s a ghost town. Every single auction I attended had shill bidding. All of them. So the central feature of this app is abused and pointless. Buyers should have to purchase a retail listing before bidding because the vast majority of them are just hitting the bid button during an auction yo screw with people who have more money.
Can’t add shipping address. I can’t select my state because when I choose Australia it’s still only showing me American states to choose from.
Scammer haven. This platform actively promotes scammer groups such as Backyard Breaks. Stay away
Good app. Please add more countries to filter though like Australia please so people like me can buy from sellers more locally
Unbelievable. Tried to enter a giveaway on a stream today which required entering an address, as i am an Australian I changed the country to Australia, however the state list remained US states and i could not just type my address in so i could not participate in the giveaway. Extremely amateur oversight by your dev team, seriously guys do better
A great app. The bast app for finding and buying and adding your collection to keep track of all your pops and even make a friend or two love it
Not for Australians. Cannot verify phone number from Australia, and cannot make purchases without verifying a phone number.
It’s good but. It keeps glitching me out of the app please update and it’s not my phone because it’s an iPhone 11 Pro Max so its brand new
Why. Shipping to Australia is minimum 21$ usd or like 30 au no matter the location
Overseas shipping. Shipping to Australia is 30 dollars aud, which I think is crazy. They could add promo codes for free shipping over certain amounts, that would be a good fix. Otherwise good app, needs more sellers outside USA though.
App drains battery like nothing else. I downloaded this app this morning on a full charge. Opened it for about 5 minutes and then went back to Home Screen and locked my phone and put it down. 3 hours later when I came back to my locked phone it was hot to the touch and the battery is at 10%. Just running in the background, while closed and locked this app has drained 90% of my battery in 3 hours. To get my phone to go back to a regular temperature I just had to close the app in the background. This makes me incredibly suspicious that it is running some unwanted process in the background while you are not using it (potentially crypto mining using your device). Be incredibly cautious about downloading this app.

Whatnot as a Canadian. As much as I enjoy whatnot, the shipping is killing me. I have been been buying 3 3/4” gi Joes. Shipping starts at $17-$25 for one figure so I buy as many as I can to make it worth my while. Once the package through USPS arrive at my doorstep I must pay an additional $15. I would really like to see a Canadian version of Whatnot if I’m honest. Choosing Canadian only sales used to be a thing but I can no longer see that option.
Awful shipping charges. The shipping charges are absurd. $23 USD which is $30 CAD to ship a makeup mag yet the other day was charged $4.50 USD for a much larger purse. They don’t offer flat rate shipping to international customers and don’t allow bundling of all items won at an auction for international shipping. I’m in Canada- not overseas. Very disappointing.
Canada viewed. As a Canadian streamer you need to bring back the feature that anyone globally can watch the stream. And be promoted in all countries.
It’s alright but shipping could be lowered from 15.00+taxes. I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews on the bbb and it comes down to who you want to buy from but both BUYERS and SELLERS need to be protected and not just the sellers shipping could be lowered from 15.00+taxes though if people are doing small sales if this is going to be the next eBay make it setup the same in that aspect and don’t allow greed to come in the way of it I spent a good chunk of money on here and I’ll wait for my items to come if they don’t show up then I’ll update this in a week or 2 but I’ll say it again this is a BUYERS BEWARE app
Not Canadian friendly. Shipping is way too high.. Every thing is charged in usd and euros, but not Canadian. Buyers Givys are only for US BUYERS. I don’t recommend this app.
Shipping. We need a Canadian version so shipping is cheaper
VERY GOOD. This is a great app, the only issue is the international shipping prices. I would be buying almost weekly if the shipping wasnt $20. It’s great thought to know if you are getting authentic products and you can find things at very cheap prices.
Buyer beware. Don’t use app is full of scammers, created by scammers lol reason why they have F rating on the BBB
Allows predators and violent men.. This app allows predators and abusive men to threaten and intimidate women on the app. No matter how often you report it, they do nothing about it. This app is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Shipping fees & referral credit nightmare. As a Canadian, it’s terrible to be forced to pay crazy amounts in USD for shipping items, as well as the referral credit not applying to buy now items, (only for live show auctions), and not covering shipping/taxes as well.
Threat application. Who will not regret.
Annoying. This app is super strict, and bans you for everything.
Good but needs some changes. For a doll collector this is the BEST app. If found so many things that I could have never found where I live. The shipping cost is really high if you live in Canada - which is stupid in my opinion. It would be nice if you could add a Canadian side (Quebec included) to the app especially for those who want to sell stuff.
Blake’s Break SCAM. Check Reddit for info, his worker Snee literally been caught scamming and switching packs off camera.
Absolutely useless!. Can’t verify my address & says my phone number is invalid. There solution is for me to send a photo of my drivers license to them via unsecure email. Bad app + bad service = 1 ⭐️
Need a Canadian version. Shipping and the exchange on our dollar makes it so expensive! Please give us the exchange and charge actual shipping costs. People shouldn’t be making money on shipping
Amazing app. One of the best online shopping apps ever
Not adjusted well yet. Sellers over charge on collectable or new retail stock. Better to shop local and save money. Some spenders over bid lifting prices on items. App has its problems but for customers which is what pays, hurts on the shipping costs within canada! All prices and taxes paid in USD so Canadian sellers aren’t contributing to canada taxes. A big scam!
Meh. Fun times, should be labeled as a gambling app. Some streamers are good and help out most are just out to take your money and make you feel bad for not spending more. Support team usually sucks and they only look out for them selves first then help you out.
Is USA the only country. It can’t work in a Nother country
A scam. This app charges merchants so much 8% plus extra fees. Anyone who think they can make a big fortune on this app is delusional. And YET They have hands down the worst customer service I can find in modern business. They have the audacity to charge 8% of total sales but cannot afford to hire a customer service team. Their app are broken too. WORST APP EVER
How bout cash meh outta side pockets. Yea
Update error. App not working after update.
Bonk go to jail. I’m in Canada but would like to use the app.
Not good for Canada. If you are from Canada DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP. Most of sellers are in the US and the app only has USD as currency. Shipping super expensive to Canada with all the taxes and what seamed a great deal soon becomes a terrible one. Do not recommend
Fraud. I wasn’t shipped everything I bought and acquired. Then when asking where the rest of my order was (all the expensive stuff) what not made any excuse possible not to pursue it. It’s a shame that such a good idea is run by such individual.
Cute idea but broken system. I gave it a good try and wont ever buy from again. As a Canadian its frustrating to be excluded from all of the giveaways even when I’m actively purchasing items. Horrific shipping system. Every single item bought automatically has shipping charged too it even if you buy multiple items in a single show. What not needs to get better at offering combined shipping, till then I wont ever buy again. Buying on facebook marketplace or ebay has better work arounds than anything offered here. Even though what not supposedly has a system to help with combined shipping the sellers don't care enough to set it up and what not isnt helping them learn. Similar concept, you get charged on credit card for each individual purchase which is stupid. It should be combined into one charge at the end of the show. Just shows how poorly designed it is. I do like the bidding system and how it adds time based on last bid so that everyone has a chance to win an item if they’re fast to react. The short timer auctions (3seconds) don't add enough extra time for most people to react so thats only downside but the longer timer ones you have plenty of time. The giveaway concept is cute but broken and only benefiting Americans over everyone else.
Whatnot support team. I’ve had many issues with sellers on this app selling items that were fakes and claiming that they were real. However, when you reach out to the support team, they’re generally very helpful and nice and will give you a refund. I appreciate that a lot, it’s just that sellers selling fakes are so icky and it takes a long time to recieve the items.
HAVE DIFFERENT CURRENCY CHOICES. Please add CAD available to the app
My experience with What Not has waned. After a year of significant buys on WN it has become very obvious that streamers serve themselves and other streamers. While some are fun, focused and offer fair prices. Most align/serve with fellow streamers more than the auction collector participants. The “cult” of some streamers has become annoying with ego, profit and emphasis on others streamers being the focus/objective. I’ve left WhatNot and returned to eBay and attending in person card shows to be able to witness in person the quality of the cards and allow me to apply my time to the cards I’m interested in. If WhatNot finds a way to make the collecting public the priority not the streamer the centre of its universe I’ll consider returning. Ciao.
Won’t let me sign up. The app will let me select my country but only gives US states to pick from so I can’t complete the registration process to actually use the app.
Multiple reasons to download WhatNot. It has the best deals on anything you want from jewelry, clothes, toys, trading cards, designer brand, anything you can think of you can find it on there. Each category has multiple awesome communities of people who share the same interests as you. Also there's giveaways which are 💯 percent free and gives you free shipping if you win a giveaway aswell.
Not friendly for Canadian users. No CAD currency options, horrible customer service and response time
Review. Not friendly to international customers. High shipping rates. Giveaways are offered free for U.S.A. users. giveaways for international users, are not free, and sellers are not willing to spend the high shipping rates for international giveaways, so you are able to enter. Same thing applies to buyers giveaways. Not accessible for international users.
Address selction garbage. Cant change my “state” in CANADA to say my current PROVINCE. Fix this. Restarted the app, deleted and re-installed, signed in again. No help.
Bugs and not working. You can’t watch previous shows like it states. It’s not working. Needs to be fixed. You spend big money on breaks and then can’t go back and watch the break.
You hate Canada. The shipping on all products is a minimum price of 18 u s dollar that not including the fact that I can’t get in u s give aways witch after talking to streamers they agree it’s stupid I hope you can make thing more fair and help make thing cheaper on the app for Canada. Thank you for understanding.
Slick App. Honestly this app is awesome. I’m constantly finding things I want to buy, so the only down side is how much money you’re going to want to spend lol
Wow. Wow
Whatnot as a Canadian. Really a greedy company when it comes to shipping, I would advise against anyone in Canada buying on whatnot unless you are ready to get slapped with ridicules shipping cost then a custom fee on top. Purchased about 10 vinyls from the USA, and have to pay 100$ shipping? Is this a joke, I pay less shipping from items coming from China.
Unable to bid or get into giveaways. Can’t even type in chat ??
Avoid if you live in Canada. I spent 1 day as a Whatnot user and instantly regretted my decision to make an account. In no way am I recommending this platform to any fellow Canadians. It appears a seller does not have to make their international shipping rates clear upfront. I signed up thinkng this platform is supposed to be fun given the spontaneous nature of all the live feeds, but quickly learnt getting caught up in the excitment can bite you in more ways than simply not hitting anything nice in a break. So I won two breaks spots fot $35 total, didn't hit much, and then got a bill for $73 USD. I reached out as fast as I could and said the seller could keep my original bid price of $35 and the cards. In no way did I wish to spend another $38 to receive a couple of base cards. Unfortunately it took customer service 4 days to get back to me and the cards are already in transit. I still can't find anything posted on hte breaker's page that states how much they charge for shipping. Lesson learned. Overall I see the utility in Whatnot, just make sure you find breakers in your own home country.
SCAMMM. Do not use this app it will scam u with ur stuff and won’t let u back in ur account WARNING DO BOT DOWNLOAD
A Collector’s Paradise. Pretty much the best app for any collector out there whether buying or selling. Just facts.
Whatnot Sucks. Whatnot is a US selling platform for US residents. Canadians can use it but they don’t receive the same benefits as Americans. It is costly to buy and sell on Whatnot for Canadians
Great community. Amazing people have been met here , as a seller ANY app can be frustrating, BUT the community and tech support are BAR NONE—- THE BEST ….. Not an app you wanna miss out on
Shipping. Yes buying as an international person sucks on whatnot. Plus you have to the shipping charges, as they fluctuate in price. After the first purchase is made the shipping price is supposed to go down to free. IT DOESN’T! My shipping on the all the purchases said free. Then I noticed that they charged me a lot. Put in a complaint with whatnot and they asked for pictures of the purchases. I said if I knew I needed to in case I was being ripped off I would’ve took pics of them. So if you do get this app and start bidding, be careful and watch the shipping charges
Trash. Trash company always banning my phones for just doing giveys.
Crashes. The app won’t open it judt crashes when i try to open it
Love watching. Dec 2

Feedback. Hello, I really do enjoy whatnot a lot, however, I do feel like there is the possibility for a lot of scammers on here. I know you guys have been cracking down on that lately and myself and others like me really do appreciate it. There are a few channels that I know for a fact you are honest and that I have been ordering from for over a year now and it is kind of sad to see the bounties and games they used to do have to go, although I do understand why the need for that has happened. Sadly, the bad apple of a bunch ruined it for everybody. I will be on Whatnot for this for seeable future, so I just wanted to send my feedback. Thank you guys again for all you do.
Sad. While this app may be exciting for buyers I’ve have been on the selling and buying ends. When selling they offer no support to learn the app as the classes go so fast. They don’t even mention you need of use the computer instead of the app on most things. I couldn’t find something on my phone app for days . I emailed them. It took 5 emails for them to tell me , oh people know to use the computer to see your sales and print label. Really? It doesn’t say this in faqs. When buying , a lot of sellers lie saying the item is new or new condition. It arrives and stained and old. When trying to get help from them, they run you in circles and I do nothing but answer the same thing over and over while they either don’t read my email right or give a generic answer. They only cater to people that sell alot. This app needs alot of work but when you put an app out new, your faq area should be clear and say you have to use the computer on most things. What good is the app?
Great App Terrible Staff. When I first found out about this app it was from a friend who is a seller so I gave it a try and at first it was great I had fun watching peoples streams buying stuff interacting with new people and making new friends but unfortunately that’s where the good remarks end as long as the above goes smoothly then you’re in for a great time but lord help you if you need to get in contact with customer service I think they just give you generic email to show that they “care” and then just move on and leave you to your problem I’ve been trying to get help from customer service for a month now each just saying “sorry to hear the other person couldn’t help give me 72hrs to get to the bottom of it and fix your problem” which I’m like alright cool 3 days is cool y’all are a big company but they never even get back to you
Scam! They take your money but loose cards. They take your money, pull good cards and then mysteriously loose them. When questioned about it your told its no big deal! They make promises to have cards graded through Beckett then turn around and send you said card back not hard sleeved or packaged properly. When you call them out they openly admit to these shady and dishonest practices. They admit to loosing cards. They take no accountability for anything. Owners don’t support buyers only dishonest sellers. Don’t refund your money instead fight you even after showing proof! Blake Martinez is a scam. Run far and far away from his lives. He gets away with this crap because he’s friends with one of the owners!
Great app 95% of the time. I’ve had this app sense the launch and I love it, it’s a great way to get things that I don’t have access to in my area, and sometimes for great prices however I think there are three big issues: 1. There’s no report feature. This is self explanatory, I don’t want to have to write you guys an email when I think someone should be banned from buying or selling. Getting the reports in real time would help y’all so much. 2. Shill bidders are a massive problem with some of the “popular” and “best sellers” on this platform, something that should really only sell for $150 selling for over $400 on a popular streamers stream is beyond sketchy. 3. This isn’t necessarily a problem, but I think there should be a feature implemented that allows buyers to set limitation on how much they spend. For instance they set a weekly spending limit, and it cannot be changed for the week, unless they put their password in 2-3 times, I think would help people who have money spending issues. Other than these things, it’s a great app!
Loving everything, except. I am a seller on Whatnot. I love how it has changed my reselling game and I am very grateful. I am noticing that there is a bug, I’m hoping to be fixed. So I am looking to utilize the buy now function on my profile. Well here’s the thing. When I try to list and then press continue, my photos do not show up! So thinking it’s me, I delete and try to submit again to no avail. All I see in the place where the photo should be is a bunch of w’s affixed to a navy blue background. So far I only have 3 things listed successfully (with pics) because I have to keep erasing my listings. I’d really like to list so many more. Please help!
Surprisingly Addictive. As a new-ish collector, I had never experienced anything like this before Whatnot. I find myself using the auctions more so than the buy it nows, which I never would’ve expected, and I often find myself just watching auctions even when not looking to buy anything, especially since the community is so cool. I’ve even tried my hand at selling on here, and the process is amazingly smooth, especially compared to sites like eBay. The only complaint as someone who has sold something is that I would love a feature to know how many views a buy it now item has, as sometimes it is hard to know if what you are selling is a hot item, or if it’s too expensive. It’s hard to explain how fun this app is, you just gotta try it.
Great way to purchase thing’s horrible customer service. I’ve bought multiple items on the app. Never have I had any issue with anything I’ve purchased. On the other hand I tried becoming a seller on the app did all the steps necessary to move forward with that. After going through everything I had to do I assumed my account would finally give me access to sell. It didn’t I assumed maybe giving it a few days and ill fix its self but no it didn’t. I attempted to reach out to there customer service team and all they said is this should be working instead of asking me more info or taking the extra steps to help me fix the issue. Over all Customer service is ridiculous unfortunately no help I reached out 7 times. In hope that there could be a possibility that they could give me feed back maybe if I sent screenshots or more evidence. There typical response time takes 48hrs and I haven’t heard anything very unsatisfied by the lack of help.
Popularity contest, more about the seller’s ego than giving people good deals. Ive been on this app for a few months now. Bought a decent amount and have scored great deals but also lost out on value My problem is the sellers who have gained such a status that they are 1) immune from criticism 2) conduct sketchy practices and 3) are babied by whatnot due to their status If you are here to get deals, good luck. For the most part you won’t be saving much money since the main promoted seller’s price things in a predatory way For giveaways, many sellers FORCE purchases before running giveaway drawings. While also using it as a tactic to bring viewers in, but don’t draw until 20-45minutes later A lot of top sellers seem to get away with things that seem questionable such as making viewers sign up to an online marketing list, to be able to participate in giveaways. Some promote favoritism with popular viewers in order to gain brownie points A lot of what you will see is inflated egos, nepotism, and popularity contests between the top names because the market divulges into a focus on personal branding rather than connecting a seller to a buyer If you are looking to find great prices on things this is not the place If you want to see a circle jerk of salesmen (mostly) ripping people off pretending to all be friends then this is the app for you
Missing package for WHATNOT authentication. The WhatNot team has told me they have not received my package from the seller. The tracking stats it as delivered to them on December 30th, 2022. Todays date is January 11th, 2023. They also emailed the seller stating it was going to them but the buyer (ME) has received the item so they released his payout, I have not received the item. The tracking legit says it was dropped off in there PO BOX, how can they say they have not received it? Terrible communication from them, giving both the buyer/seller the run around and false information. I honestly think this company is going downhill and they could honestly careless about peoples items. When stuff like this happens I should be getting a 30% extra refund. I don’t care about getting a refund because I bought this funk pop for a REASON. They should be contacting the post office or when they go and pick up items, but hey they rather give us the runaround and play games I guess. I really hope they find this package and stop PLAYING GAMES….
eBay with terrible music. I don’t know where to start…. Some sellers are awesome but plenty get angry when they don’t sell stuff and complain. Imagine “watching” something on eBay and the sellers tells you off for not buying it. Whatnot staff pretends to care about bad language but that’s only for people typing in chat… I’ve been cursed at, threatened by a seller but if you respond your at fault. I’ve videoed about 50 different streams over the last couple weeks were the music playing in the background alone is inappropriate. Moving on from there… it’s basically sellers buying from sellers and you will see the same item recycled on another stream a week later. Like I said earlier there are really good sellers but by far the majority are starting items at EBay prices. If your looking for another eBay, this is for you but beware your stuck listening to bad attitudes and there music selection…
Don’t download if you want to livestream!!!. I seen an answer from the staff that said that livestream is currently a beta!! But I just watch this week more people new to whatnot, no followers, no sales, so use of the marketplace but yet they are already on livestream!!! Goin on over 100 sales, 4.9 review guess what still no live stream. I support the idea of this platform. Just not the way it’s currently being ran. If your not recruited by them to use app then your probably never gonna go live!! What exactly is this BETA testing??? There a bunch of lives going on!! Your getting tons of feedback and yet the little guys will never get a break!!! Don’t use this beta testing as a cop out for not allowing smaller people to get in!! Just go in today and pick some guys who are not live and selling on marketplace and give them a chance!!
Not about community. Very poorly designed.. WhatNot marketed itself as a buying/selling app for the community. However after NYCC it’s become apparent that they are interested in supporting and instigating inflated prices as anyone could assume. Impossible to reasonably find smaller sellers with accurately priced items. Most auctions go way over fmv, very sketchy. Also, wow, after trying to use this app for months, the UI is still so poorly laid out. Finding anything other than the few sellers whatnot puts on the front page is ridiculously challenging. Finding the specific items your looking for is functionally not even a feature of this app. And unless you follow a specific seller on their specific OTHER social media platform, you won’t even really be able to figure of it what’s happening with the sellers you have found.
Stained items, horrible customer service. Hi! I normally never ever write reviews. This is my first review I’ve written on the app store or in general. 7 out of 10 of my orders have come stained, even though it wasn’t described on the live. It’s very visible in person but sellers did not show it on the live. One seller in particular 75% of items I ordered from them have been stained. I contacted WhatsApp support but they said they can’t do anything about it, so I have to donate the item. I really do not want to wear visible stained items, who knows where they came from. I wish that they did something to ensure sellers don’t sell stained items without mentioning it, and they need better customer support. It takes them 48 hours to respond back, and the whole return process is a hassle and can take over a week. I wish I neve rn spent money on this app because the clothes are NOT wearable.
Good app, flaws ruin it,. I got this app because I saw one of my favorite influencers doing a giveaway on it, bought something with there referral link that gave me $15. Then I was in a live stream and bidding on something, people add custom amounts, which make the price go up as much as they want (say, 20 -> 30 instead of 20->21), so I hit the bid button on a product I wanted, someone made the price go up, causing me to bid more than I wanted. I sent a cancellation request, declined, emailed support, nothing. Be careful what you bid on I guess. Then people over price things like crazy, and say things such as, “It’s mint guys that’s why it costs more” then shipping and taxes bring everything up like crazy, such as you buy a 16 dollar product, shipping and taxes make it 25. So if you want deals, go to eBay because at least they have a decent return policy.
👎🏻. So aggravating how whatnot operates on multiple levels. There’s a lot of shady people on here selling. What’s with all of the kids streaming on here now!?! You can’t trust half of the adult streamers on here and now you have kids streaming?!? The giveaways are also so rigged it’s disgusting. It’s been only buyers and sellers winning for the past week or two besides the few hackers that somehow manage to win 3 or more a day in different rooms. And I’ve noticed I’ll join a giveaway and sometimes the giveaway loses entries what is that about?!? Rigged is what it’s about. 😡The rich get richer on this app lately and whatnot is no different they have gotten too greedy for their own good!!! Hold sellers accountable and bring integrity back to the app! Too many fraudulent sellers that make this company big money and nothing happens but an oh here’s $10 credit we will look into it. What a joke!!!!
I basically got taken advantage of.. I joined an auction and the guy had the product listed as something super vague and then had sizes 4-15 available which led me to believe he’s selling shoes which he was. Being a LIVE AUCTION he had a pair of the high top Travis Mochas in his hand and I placed a bid of $200 which would of been a fantastic deal. He then informs me that the $200 is just a down payment and I need to pay another like $1200 for the shoe (which is nuts every for resale) I told him he I misunderstood and to please refund my money and he refused. I tried reporting him for misrepresenting himself but I was ignored. Im now gonna have to cancel the order through my CC company. This app is weird and some of the vendors are really suspect and pushy. Having said that the few minutes I spent on the app (before getting scammed) I watched some people get decent deals but they charge quite a bit for shipping especially when your use to getting free shipping.
Whatnot App. Whatnot is an awesome app that allows you to buy, sell, and trade, well as live stream your live auctions and giveaways! This app is definitely what is needed for competition against ebay and other bidding sites as you can do it live and get more product sold at a much faster rate. The ONLY issue I have with it is it takes a lot before you can go live, and it’s something I’m working for but I believe it’s causing them to loose out on views and competition for business because they are limiting the number of people who are able to sell live on their app. I’m hoping I can soon be a live streaming addition to this app, but until then, I continue to work on selling via their selling service and other competition as well.
Very Upset with App Experience. I downloaded the app after hearing one of my favorite YouTubers mentioning she would be selling on there. I downloaded and started looking through her items that were available for pre-bid. There was one item I wanted so I pressed the button to pre-bid. Nothing indicated that my bid was placed. So I pressed again and again. I closed the app and reopened. Nothing. So I tried prebidding on other items. Still no activity shown anywhere on the app that I placed bids. I figured the app may be down. So I checked it hours later. Still no bidding activity showing on my profile. So I deleted the app. Days later I receive an email that I purchased multiple items from the YouTuber!! So the bids were going through, but they never showed on the app. I am very unhappy about this and will be advising everyone not to use this app. The interface when making purchases HAS TO BE CLEAR and it CANNOT BE BUGGY. ridiculous.
Not nice bags for a ridiculous price. If you try to buy anything on the designer bag, say the women they are very mean they pick on you. If you don’t know what you’re doing, they call you a troll and if you stick up for yourself the venue and say it’s because of you, why would I buy anything from anybody who is rude to me? I would never buy anything from these people there about three to $500 to high for used bags. You can buy them much cheaper on eBay and other places I would never waste my time ever again I buy for disadvantage women and I try to help. Women can be very cruel to each other and mean and it’s uncalled for. It’s the most disgusting app I’ve ever tried to use stay away by from other places go to Gucci outlet go somewhere where there’s any Saint Laurent outlet of Versace outlet I would never buy these used bags of the price they’re offering and if you don’t like their price they embarrass you in front of everybody! Extremely uncalled for run
App is a scam will prey on consumers and offer no buyer protection. This is built for people to scam you they allow the seller to get paid before shipping merchandise. If you receive the wrong item or if you don’t receive your merch at all the find you solely responsible and reserve the right to refuse to refund you. If they do allow you to get a refund you have to ship it to there warehouse and they might send you a refund after verifying the item. Only thing what if someone never sends the item or it gets lost basically you are the only person penalized. My son purchased something without my permission and they told me I’m responsible if someone uses or hacks into my account. What not is a terrible service and built for scams and makes it easy for consumers to get scammed don’t fall for YouTubers bring you to this app it doesn’t provide protection to customers only sellers giving them a advantage to rip you off.
Fantastic support team!. This afternoon around 2pm I noticed that I had received an email stating that I had received a credit a couple days ago from whatnot for $15 from joining a referral well I purchased a couple items but my bank was charged I had no credit so I wrote an email to whatnot asking why this was I showed screenshot proof and offered more info and within 20 minutes I received 3 notifications stating my account had been refunded for those purchases! Personally I’ve never encountered a support team that was as quick as these guys were hats off 🎩 kudos and thank you guys very much!
Scammers COVO CRYSTALS. Whatnot app says it has buyer’s protection when in fact there is none. They knowingly allow scammers to sell items on their platform that use high priced items as “buyer’s giveaways” except you never get your giveaway. If you report it to whatnot they give you a lame excuse that they haven’t been able to get in touch with the seller so for your trouble here’s a $15 credit towards the $200 spent on trying to win the $2000+ buyer’s giveaways that was an amethyst cathedral that guess what..I won. But guess what that was all a lie to drive up their sales. They offer these extreme buyer’s giveaways and the winners never receive it. The app offers no support, the sellers can ignore you and you’re screwed. EVERYONE BEWARE OF COVO CRYSTALS THAT GUY IS SUPER SHADY AND YOU’ll NEVER GET YOUR STUFF AND WHAT NOT WILL IGNORE YOU AND LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT ALL. 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 🅱️EWARE OF COVO CRYSTALS!!! 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
Protects crooked sellers after 7 days. Read policy’s for buyers with a fine tooth comb because if you do not report an issue within 7 days and you report it to the seller you will loose your money on purchase they will not help you at that point had a seller named chuckstcg sell me a damaged card the seller told me he was happy I came to him and insisted he’d make it right stating that other buyers would go straight to customer service with thier issues witch is what we should do immediately as buyers as a new buyer I didn’t know these things and didn’t read over the policies with a fine tooth comb not smart on my part please do your homework before you purchase also another seller Carolinacards92 scams people and takes her pullboxes off screen and gives you ten cent cards avoid these two sellers if possible Terrible people they also protected that seller as well when I reported her and they removed my bad reviews on thier pages!!!!
Terrible for sellers. If you’re a newer seller and you were trying to get into doing this kind of thing through this app, I do not suggest it. The support team is extremely unresponsive and unhelpful. If you run into a situation where you need your labels re-generated they will not help you unless you pay money and edit the order, they advertise $150 matching bonus for new sellers within the first week to get you working very hard to reach that goal but then you do not receive the payment. I have had problem after problem and continuously tried to communicate with the support team and got absolutely no help. I had to figure out every situation on my own and the only time I got an extensive response on my issue was when I reviewed their support team with a negative review I did my first show and managed to make around $20 never seen that money in my account only seen withdraws for various different fees. I strongly do not suggest this app if you are trying to get into selling.
Great Place. Hello This is an amazing site is a great place to find for me Funko pops at very good prices and I love how it’s easy to do selling as well. This site is very user-friendly and seriously just the best site out there for your collection. The only thing I would like to see in the future for the site is to also be able to list loose Funko pops and also let buyers do a review on sellers because sometimes I’ve gotten Funko pops where they smell like smoke or they were just very dirty boxes and yet they listed as mint condition. So I believe reviews would help avoid these things. To also have the way to trade pops to, but selling loose ones would be awesome!! All In All Awesome site 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Customer Service and Fast response to emails THANK YOU!!!!😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Con Artist Paradise!!. What not is primarily an online gambling platform that hides behind an open chat as justification to label itself a social media platform. They do have actual auctions where 9 out of 10 hosts lie and even try to show what random fools POST items for sale on eBay, and not what they are actually selling for. The sellers strategically change in and out of different items disguising important features/information about the item to get people to overbid. They allow anyone to become a “MOD” (short for moderator) to influence and lie to people in the chat as well. If you try to mention in the chat what items are actually selling for they will either belittle and harass you in the chat or just kick you out. If you file a complaint about it with whatnot nothing will be done as they want their MONEY. This is Las Vegas in your hands! Gambling and Con Artists. Buyers beware!
Full of scammers. Backyard breaks bleachers etc. Worst app in the card/collectible world. Backyard breaks for example stole a 25k card (TLAW card) and here’s the thing on breaks, they can just offer to refund your entry/team fee and screw you. Also happened where a guy pulled a 1/1 waddle on bleachers or some other (too many scammers seriously go to any page where it’s being talked about and type in scam or go to Google and Google Whatnot scams THERES SO MANY. That’s not even getting into the streamer Pokesomething threatening to beat someone up over a bad review. No worries he got shut down now he’s just breaks for Steve Aoki (he’s an investor) so he got rewarded for it. STAY AWAY because even if you hit the big card your after you won’t get it and whatnot won’t do anything. I can’t wait for the day they go under or get hit with a class action lawsuit. All of this info is easily found.
Great App - can be better. WhatNot has been a great app so far. I’ve made at least 5 or 6 purchases in between Nov. & Dec. 2020. It’s easy to navigate and I haven’t had issues with it except for some reason my iPhone gets hot while using it so I have to switch to the iPad for longer use. Also, it would be great if I could go back to my buying/purchase history and see who the seller was for an item I bought. I like this because when I receive an item I bought in the condition it was advertised, I would generally like to go back and purchase from that seller again due to a positive experience (if they had anything else listed that I was interested in of course). Otherwise, the app has been great. Hope it continues to grow and get better!
Overall its a good app but needs some changes. App is solid and enjoyable despite being buggy here and there. Whatnot support is great if you ever need to contact them. A handful of streamers are pretty ridiculous with running entries for specific stuff at X dollar amount and then never running said item. Some bigger streamers that Ive spent a lot of money with take your money no problem but then have every excuse in the world as to why shipping is taking so long or orders got messed up. Whatnot was great about either getting me my product or a refund. Not really the apps fault as so much the sellers who rather stream every day to bring in revenue instead of catch up on orders.
Don’t miss out. What not is an interesting and addictive platform and perhaps the future of selling. Stick with whatnot, buyers and sellers, and you will not regret it. It is a dynamic shift in the way everyday sellers and shoppers interact therefore creating a new online market, in the midst of so many already established markets. That is a very powerful statement and I encourage everyone to try, use, share, and participate in this growing community during its growth period. There are a few kinks that could be worked out as it it still new, however they are not severe issues and as the platform continues to grow all issues will be worked out I’m certain🎶🎶🎶Digital Poet
Poor handling of customer service. I had just recently gotten into using the app a bit more and made my first attempt at selling a pop, only to get my pop lost or stolen in the process due to me using the wrong shipping label according to the whatnot support tech when all I did was literally use the same label I had gotten through them in an email but I don’t know how tracking numbers came out different and it’s been a whole hassle and I’m here still with no money or pop feeling pretty upset. Edit: it’s now been a month or so and still no response, I have my post office receipt showing it’s the same address as the one they had sent me through email to ship my sold collectible but their argument is that I used the wrong label to ship and it was delivered to the wrong place when the label the post office gave me matched the address on the one they emailed to me by whatnot. So I sit here with nothing still waiting. Customer service still pretty trash.
Great idea but...REVISED. I already wrote a review, and I want to provide an update to it, but it won’t let me edit it so I am trying to write a new one. My original review rated this app at 1 star due to a looping login issue that, despite a successful login, continued to loop you through logging in anytime you attempted to view your account. I received a response from the folks at WhatNot the same day the review went live asking me to contact support and how to do that. I did so. That night and the next day I received emails from them stating they found the issue, corrected the issue and submitted an update to the App Store. I updated the app and now everything works as it should. Now I can give this app the 5 stars it deserves. The folks at WhatNot are super responsive, friendly and on top of their game. As I stated in my original review, the first transaction I did through them was fast, easy and super smooth. I am in the middle of my second transaction and it is going just as well. Thanks to everyone at WhatNot for handling this issue as quickly and professionally as you did.
Max Bid… SCAM.. I didn’t even know this was a feature until it was too late. The not being able to undo or even CONFIRM the Max Bid in a pre bid is absolutely ridiculous. I thought I had exited the app and look down and it was still open and it’s saying I just maxed a bid on an item to $5679!!!! And SURPRISE not only can you not edit it… you also can’t cancel it. You’re screwed and potentially gonna loose a ton of money with this feature. Probably not a big deal for a small seller but when Kat Von D is selling stuff for a couple grand this is a dangerous feature to have. I’m shocked. There was a couple people in this auction that this happened to. And now they have refused my cancellation request. This feels unlawful. What a scam. UPDATE. Your response doesn’t even address the flaws in this feature. You should be able to edit a pre bid. And not be able to ACCIDENTALLY put in a massive amount. It does not protect a small buyer. Your response is an absolute slap in the face.
It’s all downhill from here. I am amending my review of previously highly suggesting this app. I have been a user for well over a year now and the app has gone downhill in the past few months. An over saturation of streamers who know nothing about the topics of there own stream has crippled this app. Many people are either trying to scam buyers or just make there money and screw over the buyer in some way. Similar to how gambling is the streamer will encourage you to spend more money in hopes of getting something more in return but it usually falls short. Whatnot support (their support center) used to be on top of all issues and correct any wrongdoings but now they are in a damage control and only have the ability to do something about the issue after the fact of spending (and losing your money). Stick to other websites like ebay for your collectibles. This app is not for those who are looking to actually expand their collection.
Terrible service. First off let me say whatnot is a great place to find live entertaining auctions of really anything BUT the services are worse than McDonald’s saying their ice machines don’t work at least from my experience the wait time of getting verified as a seller (still not verified) and it’s been over 2 weeks and even if I do get certified I’ve already gave up on selling here. Secondly don’t expect a response back if you ask for a refund or any response for anything in general. I’ve been waiting almost 2 weeks for a refund I requested for an sga gw patch i bought for $40 before taxes and fees and still no response or anything. I guarantee they’ll almost respond instantly because they don’t want to look bad from criticism and if they don’t it proves they don’t care about their customers.
Garbage App with Garbage Programming. This review is less about the app crashing during a major giveaway with Post Malone and Magic: the Gathering, and more about the trash notification system and development behind this app. After the app crashed due to high volume traffic which most people who use the internet would have anticipated, the app failed to notify us of the new date and time for the giveaway, which turned out to be less than 24hrs after the initial attempt. The app did not notify me, and the giveaway came and went without many of us even knowing. Just garbage all around, and if I was an investor I’d be embarrassed.. bad PR is rough for new tech. I understand I probably wouldn’t have won, but it’s the fact that they were so grossly unprepared and incapable of notifying those of us who were interested. Great way to kill a brand.
Needs some attention.. All in all a pretty well crafted app with consumer interphase, BUT the app lacks attention to the streamers themselves. As a consumer, I can view blatant favoritism to streamers who’ve already reached success, advertising for only big streamers and the short end of the stick for small streamers. Slow in updates for anything but iOS users which limit streamer/consumer relationships. Rules are okay to be broken if you’re a top streamer but not for smaller streamers. There is a favoritism to people who can only be described as “snowflakes”. Rating system needs an update too, there needs to be a better structure and an area for the consumer to leave a review and not just stars and why can’t a streamer argue a rating if it’s obvious they’ve been review bombed? There is no protection, no work from whatnot to increase viewership unless you’re already big, bad rating system, terrible algorithm and not enough moderators or enforcement of rules EQUALLY to everyone regardless of income or views.
Amazing support team and UI. I am horribly addicted to collectables and love the variety of options for auctions, listings, and just the community of people. You can even have a video receipt of when you won an auction or had packs ripped so you can remember easily what you pulled. I rarely have issues but when i do the Whatnot support team is very responsive and helpful and try they’re absolutely best to resolve things as best they can. I had an order that was lost and they tried to get it shipped out again and after three weeks of me forgetting i could count on an email updating me with they’re process and even when I couldn’t get the items I received a refund for the items timely and knowing they were reaching out to the seller and not putting it off.
Great app but could be better. I really like the app and I think they are on to something great. I’ve been following and using them since day 1 but I feel they’re juggling too much. The electronics move on their part was a great financial move to start with but I think them taking the electronics off and focusing more on vintage clothing and things that aren’t big as far as profit margins might hurt them. Of course the funko pops are their bread and butter and I think they perfected that. I hope it works out for them I really do, but experience tells me that this is going to hurt them but time. They are still really great do not get me wrong, but that is why I left the 4 star review instead of a 5
Horrible Customer Service & Zero Seller Accountability. Sellers are allowed to do as they please without any accountability… for example mystery wheel ceiling prizes are left out and added at the end while all previous buyers were duped… and seller still streams to this day as if nothing happened… check out Reddit for proof (video game category). Buyer accounts are restricted for the simple fact that a roommates account was banned due to the simple fact that they disputed a charge and why did they dispute… well because they received a damaged package from USPS and whatnot declined to follow their own rules and assist. And just because my account has the same address as my roommate my account was restricted/closed and when asked what I did wrong or to present the policy in why my account was affected with this restriction and/or closure… absolutely no response from whatnot on the policy to ban my account also.
Needs major improvements. The notifications are extremely annoying with no way to turn off or on certain ones, you have to have all on or all off. They spam you with random things you don’t care about and never get what you do care about. You get notifications from stuff you’re following that happened years ago to hours ago and you always miss everything. The layout is annoying, it needs to be more like eBay or something to actually function as a selling app. I do like how they have recently purchased prices. The search option always bugs out for me, it needs better search options, more broad and more specific options. I want to be able to search for Star Wars funko pops and sort newly listed pops and have all of what I want to see pop up. There needs to be better options for sorting and there needs to be bids and similar things. There just needs to be a bunch of major improvements before this app is usable.
Whatnot doesn’t do anything about scammers!. Saw a person lying on a stream and passing off an item as one thing that was actually something else. Confronted the seller and I was banned in seconds! Whatnot has no way of reporting evil lying manipulative sellers!! Instead I was actually warned by whatnot that MY BEHAVIOR was out of line with no mention of the sellers behavior! Keep in mind I used no inappropriate language. I only called out the seller for lying and scamming the people watching the stream. I will never use whatnot again! Complete joke that they protect bad lying sellers and don’t give any support to the consumer! UPDATE: do not listen to the developer response because they apparently did not read my review. You can only report a seller if you can see their live stream. If the seller bans you before you report them then there is no way to report them later. My review of 1 star stands. Never will use whatnot again
Wonderful Way to Auction Things!. This app is absolutely wonderful! I’m not one to actually go into auctions and buy things, but when you add something that you love into the mix and make the ENTIRE auction about that, then it’s a whole different ball game. It’s a great way to buy and sell things that you love, and even if you don’t wanna buy anything, it’s still fun to watch things be auctioned off. My only complaint about the app is that sometimes it does lag and freeze and little, which makes me miss opportunities for buying things. It’s kinda annoying, really, but it happens rarely so it’s not too terribly bad. Other than that, this app is a solid 4/5 stars! I’ve even already recommended to a couple of friends, and I recommend it for collectors and buyers alike!
Flaws that over charge you and No support!. As a buyer I bid on an auction at $9 and hit the bid $9 button. Several other people must have also hit bid $9 at the same time. The system bumped the price up to $11. When 3 people hit bid at a price at the same time their servers count 3 more bids and which ever came in last is now the winner at a higher priced bid then what you agreed too!! Auction was won at higher price and charged me for it. The sale holder asked to request support and tell them. They will fix $2. I was directed to a slow email. Email answered they see no mis-bid issue and they have to maintain the integrity of the system. They are not understanding what happened. If it can do this over $2 what stops it from more? I am forced to ask to cancel sale with seller and if they refuse they have to maintain the system integrity and charge me fully for their systems error. Don’t use these clowns!!
Messed up the Post Malone stream. Whatnot was not prepared to have a few thousand people watching one stream during the Post Malone MTG drawing stream and it glitched out from user overload. That feels very doable (after seeing HQ handle way more people more effectively years ago) and seems like a huge oversight on their part. This app got me to sign up with the Post Malone promotion but will not get me to stay after their major screw up. Subsequently, they posted a re-run of the drawing a few hours before it happened on a weekday on Twitter, without even a notification to people who had the stream bookmarked and did the drawing from a pool of a fraction of those who had attempted to participate previously. A great opportunity for those who saw the tweet and got significantly improved odds of being chosen, but left myself and many others who had heard about the first stream and gotten excited for it feeling screwed over.
Whatnot is pathetic. The fact they let a bunch of randoms non honorable people as breakers but people who put blood passion tears and thousands of dollars into the app for year would be allow to sale but because a big mouth said something and I verbally responded back in a message my application to sale after I been on the app for years devoted tons of my money into it and have almost 300 followers that they won’t allow me to sale because someone who started a fight told on me I get in trouble for words. I can’t sale but yet these people new to the app wanting to sale are getting approved and are scamming people out of their cards bidding repacks putting all floor cards and 1 hit card that is $10 more than the floor. It’s pathetic when all I want to do is be able to resale all my cards I hit on the app for the last 3 years but can’t because whatnot is a soft wet piece of dog poo!
Whatnot. I love this app it helps all resellers and sellers make money . There is some things that needs some attention. The tax for shipping and the glitches because when I’m on a live it makes me miss sells a lot . I get that I work for this platform but when I do when Whatnot updates it messing up a lot for the resellers and sellers . Please fix this is all I ask . Plus since Whatnot has made the shipping update it’s hard for all sellers to make money because Whatnot takes out a lot for commission. I get that we sell on Whatnots platform but in this world we are all in inflation . Trust me I hate politics but it is what it is . But again thanks for allowing me to sale on whatnots platform .
Full of questionable raffle streams. To start, I think the idea of Whatnot is really good. It seems that a small majority of the streams are people selling legitimate products auction style. Unfortunately, almost the other half of the streams seem to be running these mystery box pay to pick a drawer style games where you have the chance at winning a prize. I appreciate that Whatnot requires a floor, average, and ceiling price, but they don’t monitor the accuracy of what’s stated in any way. I routinely come across these types of streams where the floor price is wildly inflated, and where if you do pick a “winning” drawer you’re required to stay for the duration of the entire stream just to be entered into another raffle to see if you come away with anything. Until more stringent rules are put in place around these types of streams, I can only rate the app two stars.
Lots of whining and Moaning but also Stars. Nothing wrong with the app, I simply don’t enjoy watching and waiting to hopefully see something I’m interested in while listening to kids playing, babies crying and worst of all the seller complaining about the room, the buyers,or the prices. But that’s just me, it’s a intersecting concept but I don’t know if it’s for me … But I will say that the community in some areas are unbelievable! I once saw a established seller come on and give the new guy some hot items to sell to help with his school and just his room overall . And the folks there stepped up and paid double the going rate for this stuff simply to. Help out another individual and that was a heart touching moment for real. So give the app a shot you never know what or who you might find!
